Lovely weekend break with my friend. Spa is wonderful. Only downside was that there was a large hen party meaning that we were restricted on using parts of the spa at certain times and couldn't book any additional treatments as there were no slots. However, we were informed about the hen party when I rang to book our package and was phoned again on the day so can't complain. Staff were very helpful and massage was really great. Would return again.
The hotel itself was also lovely. We were upgraded to a larger room for no additional cost. The room was huge and had a french door leading out onto a garden area. Lovely! Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice, as well as attentive staff. Thanks for a relaxing weekend.

Brillant weekend it was visit no5 to this venue and its spa. Therapists flexible as I changed my mind as to which ones I had booked for.

A really nice break. Spa excellent. If you like Turkish baths, splash out on the serial mud bath for 2 - Amazing if you like steam. Hotel restaurant is fine dining with excellent service. We ate late and had the place to ourselves! Hotel also owns pub restaurant on site called, I think, the Farmers Arms. A very pretty pub. Go there for a drink but don't eat there - food and service very poor. Stick with the hotel restaurant where everything is lovely. The hotel also has a very nice lounge for coffee & drinks after dinner. We felt looked after.

Had a lovely time. Hotel was fab. Spa good although one of the heat rooms were out of action so unable to use. Also the aromatherapy bath was out of action too. We were offered a serail mud treatment instead which we both enjoyed very much. Relaxing atmosphere and we felt rejuvenated after our stay

Lovely hotel, really welcoming staff. We upgraded our room for £20 pounds and it was spacious with a little terrace area over looking gardens -beautiful view at sunset!
The spa is small but still relaxing and enjoyable. The aromatherapy bath was broken so they upgraded us to the serial mud chamber treatment which was great.
Breakfast was yummy, the best hot cross buns I've ever had (it was Easter Friday)
My one and only small gripe was the food allowance, we ate at the farmers arms and £15 isn't enough to cover the majority of main courses, let alone if you would like drink or dessert. We still ended up with a £30 bill at the end (so just factor this into your budget)
Booking was simple and easy , we had a great time :)

Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Food was very good. Staff in the spa could have been a little more attentive though.

The Baths were out of action when we went, so they gave us two treatments each to replace them. So friendly, and very lovely setting. Although this is on a main road, the whole time we were there we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere.

The hotel, the room, the staff, restaurant & food were excellent.
The spa wasn't as good as it has been on previous visits. The staff didn't seem particularly interested in us, the serail mud bath never really heated up. My full body massage was disappointing. I was left partly uncovered with an air conditioning unit blowing cold air on me, there was no pressure applied, she may as well of flicked me with a feather!!!

The one night spa break was very relaxing. It started off pretty stressful as our train from London was delayed meaning a late check in and we were also late for our first spa treatment so it was a good test to see how quickly we would de-stress! The spa staff were great, helpful, polite etc. The facilities at the spa were top notch. We had a 60 minute hot stone massage each and it was heavenly. The only feedback I would supply here is that the massage could have been a bit firmer with pressure - I did mention this when asked throughout the massage but it didn't seem to get firmer...Aside from that, it was really lovely.

The Reception staff were brilliant. Very friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to talk to and sometimes you don't always get that at other hotels. Nothing was too much trouble and they'd do anything they could to help a guest. The hotel's brasserie is lovely. The one piece of feedback I would give here is that sometimes the food is not always as advertised! Ensure you ask what comes with certain dishes as it wasnt explicit that some would come with veg, sides etc and we ordered sides and wound up with a mountain of food that we just couldnt eat! I had the steak and it was beautifully cooked. Food was fantastic, even if the portion sizes were too big for me...

I've already recommended this hotel to my family and friends.
