Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Food was very good. Staff in the spa could have been a little more attentive though.

The Baths were out of action when we went, so they gave us two treatments each to replace them. So friendly, and very lovely setting. Although this is on a main road, the whole time we were there we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere.

The hotel, the room, the staff, restaurant & food were excellent.
The spa wasn't as good as it has been on previous visits. The staff didn't seem particularly interested in us, the serail mud bath never really heated up. My full body massage was disappointing. I was left partly uncovered with an air conditioning unit blowing cold air on me, there was no pressure applied, she may as well of flicked me with a feather!!!

The one night spa break was very relaxing. It started off pretty stressful as our train from London was delayed meaning a late check in and we were also late for our first spa treatment so it was a good test to see how quickly we would de-stress! The spa staff were great, helpful, polite etc. The facilities at the spa were top notch. We had a 60 minute hot stone massage each and it was heavenly. The only feedback I would supply here is that the massage could have been a bit firmer with pressure - I did mention this when asked throughout the massage but it didn't seem to get firmer...Aside from that, it was really lovely.

The Reception staff were brilliant. Very friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to talk to and sometimes you don't always get that at other hotels. Nothing was too much trouble and they'd do anything they could to help a guest. The hotel's brasserie is lovely. The one piece of feedback I would give here is that sometimes the food is not always as advertised! Ensure you ask what comes with certain dishes as it wasnt explicit that some would come with veg, sides etc and we ordered sides and wound up with a mountain of food that we just couldnt eat! I had the steak and it was beautifully cooked. Food was fantastic, even if the portion sizes were too big for me...

I've already recommended this hotel to my family and friends.

everything about our break was spot on! Staff were all very friendly, competent & more than happy to help. Got a hot stone massage which was lovely. Got a complimentary upgrade to a master room which was incredible! Also the food was amazing - we both got an 8oz rib eye steak, and agreed it was easily in the 'Top 3 Steaks of our lives' category. Will probably be back as well, the only potential reason why not would be the 2.5 hour journey as we live in London. We had a very special valentines weekend here & would without doubt recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful time, lovely staff and an excellent place to chill. Steak in the pub was wonderful, but chips left a lot to be desired. Puddings were basic and expensive for what they were. Glad we had a food voucher, as if I'd paid for it I would have been disappointed.

Staff were very pleasant and spa was clean, however we were collected 15 mins late for our massages and no apology given for lateness. The massage room was not very cosy or peaceful - no calming background music to make us relax, all we could hear was the noise of the fan!! When I rang up we were told the spa facilities were open till 6pm but once our massage was finished we were told the spa would be closing shortly and it was only 5.15pm. We had planned to use the steam room and foot spa for the last half hour or so which we couldn't do so was somewhat disappointed.

It was great experience. Everything went as planned, hotel room was good with massive bed! Spa was amazing, treatment was spot on (wanted it to be on the first night, but was only available for next day unfortunately).

Great relaxed setting and lovely friendly staff made our visit wonderful. The serial mud bath was a different experience to what we had last time (aromatherapy bath) but still enjoyed it. There are different steam rooms to explore including a menthol type room which was great for my sinus problems also a thermal suite which had two rain forest showers and steam rooms and a foot spa which was great for my poor old feet being a postman! Value for money is outstanding. Food at the pub was lovely, very rustic barn conversion. Our room was lovely although the time before we were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to an executive garden room with a balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this break, as I feel for value for money it can't be beaten. We had extra treatments I had a raindrop massage & my wife had a facial both were excellent, we really can't recommend this place enough. For guideline our age group is mid 40's

Highly recommended

We booked a winter spa break. Amazing value - included use of the spa all day, 30 min massage each, £30 each to spend on dinner, accommodation in a lovely room and breakfast. Spa facilities were great, especially the fire and ice experience and although the spa is reasonably small it never felt overcrowded and in fact a lot of the time we had the sauna etc to ourselves. Couple of downsides were that we had to get dressed and leave the spa for lunch at the pub close by as there was no food facilities unless you had lunch included in your deal and also the relaxation room - as there weren't really any other break out spaces in the spa we ended up sharing this with a noisy hen do who had nowhere else to have a goss! Obviously not their fault but not too relaxing for us! Oh and also make sure you take your own flip flops as they don't provide these.

All in all a fab break and would thoroughly recommend!
