We thoroughly enjoyed our Spa day on Saturday. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were ok. There wasn't much room around the pool and chairs/loungers were very limited especially as there were quite a few people on Spa days and hotel guests. Perhaps a rethink on the numbers would help?
The bar staff didn't seem to understand the meal voucher side of things so perhaps a bit of communication/training would help. Saying that, the food was really tasty, we can recommend the ham, egg & chips.
We had a lovely weekend stay and it was really relaxing. The steam room was being renewed so not available which was a shame.
Staffwere exceptional from the greeting at the front desk to the restaurant to the spa staff. Room was well equipped and comfortable. Spa was lovely except the steam room was out of action and we were not warned in advance by last minute. The steps into the jacuzzi were difficult for me as too high (or deep!)
Special mention for the waitress; so helpful and fun too.
Breakfast staff were over stretched and service was slow.
Have already told friends and family. Will be booking another break at the Apollo as soon as possible. The staff were outstanding in their friendliness and professionalism . Highly recomnended
I booked a spa break which included a free facial I phone the hotel to check they had availblity in the spa for the facials before I booked online only to be told they couldn't fit me in until late the following day. I did get the impression that as it was a 'free' treatment included in the package they didn't see it as a priority. I also booked a full body massage through treatwell as part of this stay and received confirmation of the time I had booked after calling the hotel to check availblity only to again be told they weren't able to honour my booking until a different time late the following day. Overall not impressed with the service the front desk staff were very rude over the phone and made me feel very uncomfortable about asking for the treatments I had paid for. It wasn't the stress free relaxing break I had planed.
