I was given the treatment as a present and it was just what I needed.
The therapist was nice and friendly and I was pleased with the massage - deep tissue can be quite painful but you feel so much better afterwards. Plus I like firm pressure and got exactly that.
The venue itself is nice and quite 'zen'. I guess as it's marketed as a spa, the prices are more expensive for certain treatments but massage prices are quite comparable with the others in the area. Also finding a good massage therapist who does deep tissue can be difficult so I promised myself to come back here at least every couple of months.

I have actually been here a few times over several months, but I became more and more dissatisfied each time until I decided to stop going altogether. The body wraps are very nice once they are on and the therapist gives you a nice mini facial and head massage whilst you wait. But up to that point it's not very pleasant. The room becomes very cold when not wearing anything and they never give me a big towel after a shower (body wrap) so I would be freezing after coming out of the shower every time. And then the draping was always minimal. I also didn't appreciate the manager at reception recommending creams for the cellulite on my bum in front of other clients. As for the massages, they was not done to my liking but I gave it a couple of visits just to make sure it wasnt an off day for the therapist. After the second time, which was exactly like the first, I decided to try another therapist (who I liked better) and I think the Spa was offended by that somehow as they told me the alternative therapist was more junior. The pedi I've just had once, and it was very average. I did it myself two weeks later and my partner and I both agreed that I did a better job. overall, I wouldnt recommend, but it's not terrible if you are desperate or have fairly low expectations.

This spa day was booked weeks in advance by telephone. The day before the spa day, I received a text reminding me of the spa day, which was a lovely little reminder. My cousin and I went in on a Sunday, we were greeted by our first names by the receptionist, which was a nice touch. She welcomed us both, offered us a drink and asked us to fill in a form. The reception area was gorgeous, smelt nice and was clean. We were the only ones in the spa that morning.

Our therapists introduced themselves and took us down to the couples room for a massage and facial. The therapists asked us if we enjoyed the firmness of the massage and adjusted accordingly. During the facial, they addressed the issues that we raised on the form the we filled in earlier. Only slight issue was the noise during the facial, as the therapists selected the appropriate products and turning on the taps - it was noisy and distracting. Then we were taken upstairs for a pedicure. Whilst the therapists worked on our feet and we were given magazines to read and were asked if we wanted anything to drink. The spa was getting a little busy but the atmosphere remained calm. There were roadworks going on outside, the receptionist apologised for this (but there was no need).

When the treatment had finished, the therapists said goodbye and said that they hope to see us again. We felt relaxed and didn't feel as though they were trying to get rid of us. Overall it was a really great experience and I am still impressed with my pedicure!

I had been hearing a lot about this new day spa and since I live close by I decided to check it out. The receptionist was polite and welcoming, although they don't have enough waiting space for customers - I was made to perch on an uncomfortable stool while I filled out my form and waited for my treatment. The treatment itself was average. The room was cramped and dark and badly needs soundproofing, both from the din that comes in from the reception area as well as the constant street and traffic noise from the High Street! You'd assume that the very least a spa would do would be to create a relaxing ambience in their treatment rooms!
The therapist made a slight pretense of checking my skin out in an almost completely dark room and "decided" to give me the Pevonia taster facial (of course, so you could sell me the products), even though I asked for another one. The therapist was expert enough in the way she administered the facial but all the noise in the room meant I just could not relax or switch off. At the end of the facial I was given a forced run-down of their Pevonia products and a major hard-sell of the same at the reception while I tried to pay for my treatment and leave. I won't be going back for facials or massages anymore - thats' for sure - not until they soundproof their rooms! As for Pevonia - it did absolutely nothing for my skin.
