I took my Mum to the Cardiff Hilton for a spa night away. It was good value and the hotel's in a very central location. Would go again!

great stay, a little taken aback when we requested robes due to us staying in the room opposite the spa. They advised they didnt have robes so had to go into their changing rooms to get change then go through with a towel. The gentle man also informaed us that they were not open on a sunday. I decided to use the facilities and was then approached by a member of the spa to say they were waiting for us

Booked as a birthday present for myself and a friend on check in staff very friendly and professional. We got upgraded to an executive suite as we preferred twin beds to a double. On initial inspection room appeared clean however found a large stain on 1 of the lampshades by the desk.Shower wasn't draining properly when I removed the plug there was at least a month's worth of hair in the plughole which I find absolutely appalling. Informed reception immediately to which they were equally appalled and apologised profusely and informed the room would be re cleaned and replenished immediately. On arriving back to the room after our treatments the bin hadn't been emptied or milk replenished. Informed reception Geraint said he'd deal with it himself and apologised profusely again, he is an asset to the hotel nothing too much trouble and goes above and beyond his duties. If I was on my own and the stay wasn't a birthday present I would have demanded a refund and stayed elsewhere, I would definitely not be staying again especially after all the problems & housekeeping cutting the top nearly completely off my friends mouthwash because we'd complained and they'd been reprimanded as a result very immature and unnecessary. Despite this the rest of the staff we encountered were lovely especially Geraint, treatments and breakfasts were lush.

Had a great time in this hotel, booked a spa break package with lastminute.com.
They didn't have my booking on there system when I arrived but were more than helpful with sorting me out with an upgraded (castle view) room as soon as they saw my conformation email.
Views of the Castle were amazing and the massage staff were really friendly. Very clean hotel and comfy beds.
Surrounding area a bit rough on a the Saturday night with a lad suffering a broken nose sat outside the hotel on our return from dinner, but what else would you expect nowadays.
My only major con which I feel I've got to point out is that there's no free parking for guests.... Have to park 20 min away and walk in.

Luckily we were staying for the spa experience. The staff in the spa were the only friendly people to greet us. And the massage was delightful!
Unfortunately, the rest of the trip was poor. We were allocated a disabled room. neither of us disabled so we were disappointed not to have a luxurious bath in the evening but nonetheless made the most. For dinner we were seated and 40 minutes passed before someone took our order. Apparently they thought someone else had done it. I did try to call the staff but the young girls did not want to catch my eye.
In the end I got up and went to ask. The same and to be done with the bill.
Other than this the food was beautiful when it turned up. I feel for the price we did not have the experience deserved. But nonetheless we went for the spa and we thoroughly enjoyed our massages!!

The hotel was excellent, room was spacious and comfy. The staff were extremely frjendly and helpful. The massage was relaxing and therapeutic the only downside was the size of the pool and seating around it; there was only 4 chairs. Apart from this I cannot fault the experience and would definitely stay there again.

staff are very friendly and will help with any matter you have, food was delicious perfectly cooked and the breakfast was all set out ready made but if you wanted it fresh or cooked a different way, they will do it no problem and the eggs are all made fresh to the way you want it, loads of choice for breakfast from yogurts, cereal to a cook breakfast, right down to just toast!

Spa has everything so does the gym, never too busy and you can also do what you want as its never that busy that theres no room anywhere.

The Escape Spa staff were really friendly and the treatments put me to sleep I was so relaxed.

!he rooms were big but not too big just the right size and the bath was long enough to stretch you legs out and the shower has enough room for three people with ease! the bed was comfier than mine own and had the best night sleep special with the air condition as it was a warm day and night normally but with the air condition on and the heating turned right down sleep cuddled up in the blanket all night!

This was my second stay this year and planning on going again around December time!
