Great place, very good value. Gym was a tad run down but it had everything you need. Room was lovely as was the food. Would go again :)

We enjoyed the overnight stay. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the room very pleasing. The spa facilities were clean and the pool was pleasantly warm! A very relaxing experience. The evening meal was well presented and excellent value for money. the service was a little slow but that did not detract from the eating experience as the staff were courteous and friendly. Beds were very comfortable and the bedlinen of good quality. There was a good selection of dishes for breakfast and the staff were really efficient and helpful with individual needs. Checkout was very professional - A very pleasant overnight stay.

Windows hinge in the room was broken so you could hear the road noise as it wouldn't close, only one towel in the bathroom in a double bed room, and the tv wasn't working properly as it only had 3 channels one of which was hotel radio! Staff were ok bar forgetting to order a taxi for us the first day after calling from the room.

We booked as a married couple for my birthday. This hotel is a bit dated now but I think they are going to refurbish it. Unfortunately no cocktails were sold at the bar which was disappointing but we were told it was because they were going to re-furbish. We were given a poky room to begin with (the worst I've stayed in a hotel) but asked to change to a bit bigger room which was ok. Just a little run down but reasonably modern and clean. The spa facilities are quite good but the pool area is getting a bit run down now. Needs updating. It's an old hotel. The best thing about our stay at this hotel was the food. We had a 3 course meal which was delicious and a really good breakfast. Overall, it was good value for money but I would not stay again.

We enjoyed one night package a few days after our wedding. Facilities and staff were excellent. My only comment would be that the hotel rooms are so warm...even with a fan on all night or window open so pack lightly!

Fantastic facilities and aromatherapy massage, will certainly visit again.

To just note though, some of the guests within my group booking had some maintenance issues including, lights not working, iron not working and window latch broken.

We were very surprised by the hotel considering the price of our stay. Location was fabulous, walking distance of Park and Ride into Chester. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was slightly dated but comfortable with water/tea/coffee/biscuits provided. Dinner was brilliant, we arrived half an hour late due to a missed train and the staff could not have been more accomodating. Breakfast was great, buffet style or a special was offered. Sebastian Coe Spa area was fabulous, lovely spa pool, steam room, sauna and pool.

Would recoomend this to all my friends and family.
