I understand that Greenwoods are under new Refurbishments. However I find it very Annoying when trying to sleep having work men drilling 12'oclock at night & having to get up the next day to check out for 11am is a little Unreasonable. Lots of Chrome Fixtures were Rusty in our bathroom & around the spa areas. As for the Steam & Sauna Facilities were very poor, Dirty and barely working. I also place an order for Breakfast for my room, but Unfortunately did not come, as staff did not collect my order form that was place on the door the day before at 7pm. However reception sorted it on the morning. Finally the treatment that was booked was not ready when I went for it and had to wait 15 Minutes for the Therapist to get it ready. However was excellent. On the hole I think greenwood will be a lovely place when the Refurbishments are complete and the staff are very Accommodating. I would Recommend once these things are address.

We had a very relaxing afternoon. The spa was crowded when we first arrived, but we took an hour out in the afternoon to have our tea and when we went back into the spa it was virtually empty and had a lovely atmosphere. Tea was good - very filling and sweet! I think the spa is currently being renovated, so it will probably be even better soon, but really I couldn't even fault it as it was!

Steam room wasn't working which only left the sauna which was but very hot even afte putting ice on the burner. The swimming pool was a decent size an shallow. Afternoon tea was really now and loads of it with tasty bites and sandwiches with a generous amount of tea and coffee

Second time at this spa. It is now under new management. The rules for spa access have changed since my last visit and there is no usage once you have checked out (11am). I had stayed till 4pm previously. The main steam was broken (which I wasn't warned about) and I intended to use the one in the relaxation room only to be told that I had to leave at check out. I complained and the manager as a one off allowed us to use the facilities (which were deserted but for 4 members!). The staff were lovely, the room comfortable and the bar food very tasty. The ambience was relaxing up to a point as they are refurbishing and there were builders everywhere and drilling going on, but that's temporary. However I will not be returning due to the draconian spa access policy. Greenwoods are missing a trick. When we stayed on last time we ended up ordering cream tea and spending another £30. Now, you are rushed out after breakfast. New guests cannot check in till 2pm. SO WHO EXACTLY IS USING THE FACILITES BETWEEN 11AM AND 2PM??? No one! So no extra spending for Greenwoods, and guests arrive having to rush down after check-in to try and enjoy some peace and quiet before the peak members arrive at 5! It was very busy on our first evening with only two pool loungers free, at the far end away from the sauna/steam. So a crowded facility, being rushed to use it, you will be lucky to get more than a few hours use, between dinner, drinks and sleeping. The new gym is lovely and well stocked but you won't get time to use that either! Having been bought out of administration, I had hoped things would improve. With this new policy, I predict a continued loss of income and clientele. Very Disappointed.

I must say that Greenwoods is a lovely place to unwind and relax but just a few things
could be improved. The room was spacious and nice but a definite lack of plug sockets available, also the TV was far too small for the room, especially when laying in bed.
Another thing was the hot water in the bathroom went cold at peak times in evening and morning, presumably when everyone in the hotel was using it, but that is no comfort when you are getting ready to go down for dinner and the shower is cold!
Can't fault the Food in the restaurant, was very nice and presented well. One thing that took the edge off was nearly every meal had supplements for people on spa breaks where the meal is included. Seems odd, but breakfast made up for it, that was excellent and plenty on offer.
Spa facilities good but can get overcrowded around the pool.
Our massage was lovely and relaxing though.
We also had a walk around the grounds and that was really nice!
All in all I would recommend Greenwoods and with new management and refurbishment in progress hopefully all the points I mentioned will be addressed.

Lovely experience the steam room around the pool was out of order.
There wasn't a lot of seats/loungers around the pool? Sauna was nice.
The afternoon tea was excellent and staff really nice.

Generally lovely a friend and I had a super time, we enjoyed the Afternoon tea and all the serving staff were great x The steam room was tepid so we told a girl on Spa desk and she acknowledged the point and later it was hot

The spa treatments were not available - I'm not sure why I wasn't told, so this was a huge disappointment to me.

Grrenwoods alaways good, but i found there were too many people on the weekend me and my daughter stayed there, the pool area was packed so you could not enjoy any peace and quiet which was what we needed ,Breakfast excellent,we had just bed and breakfast,so ventured oout in evening for a meal else where.

Such. Disappointment from my last visit - whilst I appreciate there is a new owner who has just taken over and is being proactive about updating the facility to its potential but this was a disaster.

Booked twin room got a double bed. Found open safety pins holding up the valance sheet on bed linen, condensation all over the windows, blocked bath, tv signal rubbish, food average and the spa facilities just awful. The jacooze was cold, steam room cold with no steam sauna was the only room that was fine. We later found an alternate relaxation area where the steam suns and showers were fabulous but by them this was too late. Ride receptionist being extremely impolite and abrupt in the so called "welcoming" building works taken place throughout the hotel very very disappointing never again!! Don't go save your money
