I have my hair cut by Neale at Aveda in Wimbledon and he always does such a great job. The best thing with him is that you not only get a great cut to start but the style grows into itself so well it never really looks like it's 'growing out'. He really knows what suits you whilst still listening to what kind of style you like. Highly recommended.

It was my first visit to this salon and I highly recommend it. The staff were all really friendly, the coffee was great and each appointment starts with a neck and shoulder massage with your choice of aromatherapy oil. Neil was very helpful, friendly and knows his stuff - I wanted a complete restyle, didn't mind what length, just asked him to choose what would suit my face. He created a fantastic, structured bob that I absolutely love - have had a lot of nice comments from colleagues, friends etc. He also suggested some highlights and asked a colour specialist to come over and discuss. It was all very relaxed and informal, not at all pushy and I'm looking forward to going back to get my 'superhero' highlights! It wasn't cheap, but definitely value for money as I got such a great cut and the service was excellent.

I visited the Fulham salon as my hairdresser at the Aveda salon in Maastricht is on holiday and I had business in London.
I booked a couple of weeks in advance, the receptionist was nice and friendly and explained everything to me. I received an SMS the day before to remind me about the appointment and on arrival was greeted warmly and given a drink. I was introduced to my stylist - Felicity who discussed my requirements, made suggestions then gave me a lovely head and neck massage. She matched my colour perfectly, took and inch from the length and ten years from my age in one fell swoop - and was lovely with it. Thanks Felicity for making my experience so enjoyable.

Very professional from reception team to hair stylist. Meets the standards you expect from Aveda salons- head and hand massage as part of treatment. Would go back to the Wimbledon GC salon again!

Lovely environment, really relaxing slick and modern furnishings. Receptionist was extremely scatty and forgot that I had arrived and notified him of my appointment even when my therapist was looking. then offered me a discount card which he later had to take off me as he made a mistake. Only drink available was water - tea or coffee would have been nice. hairdresser was lovely and very knowledgeable. I would definintely go back.

The salon had a lovely ambience and was very chic and relaxing. The therapist was very knowledgable about the techniques and colours which could be used. All in all a very satisfying experience.

Gina Conway's salon in Wimbledon offered the most beautiful, luxurious and tranquil environment. Spotlessly clean, facilities of the highest quality. The staff are wonderful, cheerful, helpful, professional.

I can't recommend GC enough, you'll get the most luxurious treatment in an amazingly relaxing environment, you'll leave walking on air!

The Gina Conway salons are always a fantastic and relaxing experience. I reguarly use the Wimbledon one and have also been to the Fulham branch too. Kate at Wimbledon is lovely and always does a great job on my hair. I also really like the special massage they do when you arrive, it makes a huge difference to how quickly I relax :-)

I am a huge fan of Gina Conway Salon & Spa. I like Aveda's products and philosophy, and I think that Gina Conway fits the brand to a T. The atmosphere is relaxed and I feel really well-looked after on each visit, but there is nothing stuffy or pretentious about it. I get my hair cut there every 9 or 10 weeks, and I recently visited for pregnancy massage which was fantastic. I only wish it had been longer as it was slightly on the expensive side. I also love the yoga studios and instruction which make it a terrific overall package.

Just fabulous. I wish I could afford to go to Aveda once a week. The service really stands out - all of the staff are happy and friendly constantly and it is a most welcoming place. A very relaxing and high class place in the centre of busy Wimbledon that really takes you away from it all.

Quite simply, the highlights were the best I've ever had. Completely natural looking and shiny! The cut was great and held it's shape for ages - all I had to do was shake my head and it all fell right into place. The atmosphere was so relaxing, especially the head massage. It was a totally different experience to other salons I've been to and I'd recommend it to anybody. Truly a cut above!

From the moment I walk through the doors, a ritual in relaxation commences. The salon itself is beautiful and calming, and the smiley receptionist instantly puts you at ease, and within moments I am sitting at their big glass and natural wood table sipping my herbal tea and flicking through magazines.
The scalp, neck and back massage that everyone is offered is a small luxury; it sets the scene for a real pamper session as you select your favourite aromatherapy oil and the therapist gets to work. You really forget you are sitting before the mirror in a stylist's chair!
Josephine, my stylist, is a genius. She works a miracle on my hair every time and she is lovely. She might be expensive, but she is worth it because I am always happy with the result and she genuinely listens to what I'm trying to achieve and makes good suggestions. Although all the staff are busy and efficient, there is never that horrible production-line feeling you get at other salons, and you don't get passed on to a junior half way through. She is a real perfectionist - but perhaps I shouldn't say so because I'll never get in her appointments book again!

I love this place. From the moment you walk in you're made to feel welcome and at home. I couldn't reccomend it enough. If you're getting your hair done then there's always a complimentary stress relief massage with a choice of lovely smelling oils.

Kate has been colouring and cutting my hair for the past year and each time does a brilliant job. She knows what will suit me and I always come out really pleased with the results.

I've also recently started getting my eyebrows threaded by Lorenza and honestly get comments from people saying how good they look!

I love this salon & spa and have recommended it to my friends with gusto.
I had my hair coloured in January but I had decided to change the colour that I normally go for. I was quite anxious as I'm getting married in 7 weeks and needed it to go right. Edward listened to what I wanted, explained what he was going to do and produced exactly the result that I wanted.

The little extras that you get with this salon such as the head and should massage before any hair treatments, even a wash & blow dry, really make the difference and give the salon a feeling of "day-spa" rather than a generic hairdresser.

The spa area is fantastic too. I'd highly recommend it!

I've been to Gina Conway Wimbledon a few times and my stylist is Kliff. I tend to just let him do what he feels is best and i am always amazed at his creativity and how he works with my face shape, skin color and the style i like. i would recommend him for both creative and more classy styles.
The salon itself is well designed with really beautiful fragrances and the massages they offer before hair treatment are always welcome, especially when they are done with a firm hand. ;)
The price is quite high and would like it to be lower.

The haircut and colour were ok and nice massages BUT booking the appointment was a nightmare, they were very unhelpful about having a colour test and then there were no appointment times available.
After 3 or 4 attempts to book an appointment I was contacted by the Chelsea salon and told that they did not take Wahanda vouchers (even though my voucher said they did), eventually I was told to use the Fulham salon who did not know anything about the voucher and I wasted a lot of time and frustration trying to get an appointment there. I was eventually promised a haircut, colour tint and a treatment with my voucher as recompense but ended up paying an extra £79 for highlights, didn't get the treatment and told they would give me a free treatment next time.
All in all I would say do not try to use a Wahanda voucher at any of their salons if you want to keep your sanity and don't want to be made to feel like you are trying to do something illegal. If you do use these salons, make sure you get a quote for exactly what it will cost and then don't let the stylist start giving you other things which cost much more.

Dear Gabrielle,

We are so disappointed that you did not receive the service you desired, and that you had problems with the booking process. We would love it if you could contact us on pr@ginaconway.co.uk so that we can rectify this with you.

Hi Gabrielle

On behalf of Wahanda I wanted to apologise for the issue you had in booking at Gina Conway. It appears that the issue you had with the voucher was a result of a technical issue on Wahanda. The voucher was for the Wimbeldon location only, however due to a technical issue on our part, the Chelsea location was mistakenly added as accepting the voucher. The issue was in no way with Gina Conway and I am grateful that they were able to accommodate you.

Kind Regards,
Lopo Champalimaud

Brilliant hair spa. It was a surprisingly amazing experience i ever had. The salon is very nice with great atmosphere. The stylist really pay attention to my hair and did a great job. I would definitely go again. The blow dry was just ok, it was way too curly for me.

Wow, what an amazing place! I've never had a mini back, neck and head massage as part of a haircut before! It's a lovely, relaxing treat as soon as you arrive (my appointment started bang on time too). My hairdresser was great, very friendly and professional, and most of all, gave me a fab haircut. I honestly couldn't fault it and will definitely go back.

I had a tour round the spa after which looked heavenly, too.

I whole heartedly recommend it.

Thought i would look for a new hairdresser after moving so booked an appointment for a colour a at the wimbeldon salon.
Salon was nice and spacious and i was seen by Kristina. I explained to Kristina that befor my pregnancy my previous hair dresser had put red and plum low lights in my dark hair and i wanted that again. Kristina assur...ed me that the red would show up in my hair because i did not want to bleach my hair. Under the bright salon lights the red showed up and looked really nice but when i got home and under normal lights/daylight the red didnt show up at all and i even had friends ask me when am i going to get my hair done!
Really upset i rung the salon and explained what had happened. The receptionist was really nice and booked me another appointment. Kristina then rung me up and told me that they had used the strongest dye and the only alternative was to bleach my hair and then put in the red (something i didn't want to happen) when i asked how can my other hairdresser which costs half the money get it right first time? Kristina told me it was because there dyes weren't as strong (great!). But not wanting to waste the £170 i spent i agreed.
So after going back a second time and having my hair bleached and red put in it still doesn't look that much different and now my hair just looks dry and has split ends (which is a total waste of the hair cut i got there).
Really disappointed with my first and last experience and the Aveda salon and would recommend saving your money and going to a reasonably priced salon because you will get a better colour and cut.
