Covent Garden to me use to be a gay gym(like Chariots Gay Sauna). It was in your faced gay. Now it has become de-gayed and tired.
Its not become boring because it has become de-gayed its has no atmosphere .

The street dance teacher (who also does the legs bums and tums class) has a bit of a temper. She absolutely hates uncorrdinated people and turns in to a bit of a grump about it.

small gym space with lots of equipment.
changing rooms are good enough but showers have no doors .
not my favourite place

The club is slightly tired and in need of an uplift, but with sufficient facilities. The air-condition wasn't working on several occasions in the fitness studio, which made classes slightly unconfortable. But Mira runs amazing workout sessions, her classes are by far the busiest and she is a hard task-master which makes for an incredibly hard session.

I was looking forward to the street dance classes but they got cancelled quite a few times because there wasnt enough participants. It was very disappointing when it happened.
The street dance is an intermediate level and above class so not great for beginners.

I liked the range of classes and good timings e.g. LBT and spinning. A busy gym so it can be a bit packed for the classes. Changing rooms are clean and plenty of lockers

Great gym - lots of machines, good crowd and friendly staff. The location and opening hours are perfect for me.

Fitness First gyms are good because you have access to all of them and they are everywhere. The 24 hour one on Kingly Street is pretty useful!

I did the bodypump class there. It was a small studio and there were no clips left to secure the weights, not a big problem but makes you a bit wary as you lift them. The guy running the class was excellent. I went with my girlfriend and we found it very friendly. I wouldn't join this branch personally as the studio space was very small and I would be going for the classes, also I prefer a good mix of men and women and differing fitness levels. A very high percentage of the people at Covent Garden are already very fit gay men.

If you mainly use weights and cardio machines at the gym and prefer muscled men then this is a good place.

A brilliant club overall - good facilities, and a great location just off the Strand near Charing Cross station. I went to the Body Pump class a few times at this club and the instructor was very good, encouraging and enthusiastic. The class was a nice crowd, mostly looked like regulars. A little full at times though I went to the popular after-work sessions.

I felt totally at ease her, though my heterosexual male friend mentioned that some guys might not feel comfortable with the checking out that goes on in the male changing room. Saying that, the staff and general buzz was really positive and we both felt very welcomed and at ease there.

I would recommend this place to a friend, I had a great time there!

Went to Urban Dance -I've previously taken commercial & street, but this was considerably more difficult to keep up as everyone was speeds ahead. Thought the teacher was cool but will be returning to my other disciplines. The Fitness Centre is easy to locate, has all the necessary facilities, friendly front desk, a very busy centre.

When I contacted FF about my voucher I was invited to come to the gym and an appointment was made - I assumed this was to show me the facilities, explain the booking system for classes or similar since there was no indication what the appointment was for. When I showed up without a particular class in mind I was told I should come back then; the sales representative gave me his mobile number and said I should call him the evening before. After a 2-minute chat (and the question whether I wanted to sign up for a membership even though I had already said I was just interested in the classes) my appointment was over. I didn't go back - the overall atmosphere had put me off (the place seemed sticky, crowded and very corporate) and the fact that I felt my time on that evening had been wasted didn't help so I can't give feedback on the classes.

Maybe a bit pricey and not the biggest gym, but its staff are the friendliest gym staff imaginable!
It's in a good location too.
