The spa itself was very small, at some points during the day the pool was overcrowded and you couldn't get a seat beside it. The treatments weren't anything to write home about and I have had far better at other spas unfortunately - especially when you consider the price. The main building is lovely but the spa itself is in the back of a parking lot in a quite regular ordinary building which was a massive let down. What was also disappointing was that you had to get dressed for lunch - in a conservatory - which had a very poor selection. The relation room at the spa was run down and not really relaxing at all. The whole day was about planning for the next treatment or planning for lunch there wasn't really much time to sit and unwind which was the whole aim of going.

The pool itself - indoor and outdoor - was lovely.

Unfortunately the nail polish didn't dry even after 45 mins wait. I went back as two of the nails were stuck to my socks. The receptionist was ok but said the therapist had gone to lunch as I had travelled back from Daventry it was inconvenient. She patched them up by going over again with a gel topcoat. Unfortunately I had to take this off as it went all lumpy and I ended up redoing them myself at home so really a total waste of money. Perhaps they need to test the products out as during the winter no-one is going to go out in flip flops and after 45 mins nails should be dry enough.

Excellent location and lovely venue. Treatments first class and staff very helpful. Only downfall when arrived was offered
a hot drink and was served in a chipped mug, and very poor lighting in the car park and my sister badly damaged her ankle on the way to her car by falling down a pothole. Apart from that the whole experience was very relaxing and next time will stay over in the hotel.

Restful and peaceful day.. Beautiful surroundings. Loved hydrotherapy pool and the fact it was outdoors. Treatments superb. Only slight niggle was that the slippers were too small a size for husband.

Fantastic venue for spa and afternoon tea! Staff were very friendly and helpful and spa facilities excellent. Only down side was pool windows were dirty when looking out to the seating area. Afternoon tea served in a magnificent hall was fabulous! Beautifully presented and again all staff were professional and friendly. This was a last minute booking and I'm glad we choose to come here and will definitely return.

Another lovely day at Fawsley. This is my second visit here, this time with my sister, who enjoyed every minute of her day. The afternoon tea was delicious, and our treatments were superb. I had the best ever facial! I cannot wait to return! Top tip- go for breakfast before you start your spa day, it is delicious!

I cannot fault this place. It is a tranquil oasis of calm, cleanliness and happy smiling staff- they cannot do enough to help you. The treatment was conducted professionally and I just cant wait to return in May for my spa day!

Me and my daughter had a lovely day, the only very minor critism is that for lunch we had to get dressed as robes are not allowed in the main hall.

My daughter and I loved every minute of our time at Fawsley Hall and we have told all our friends to go. I have already booked a day spa with my sister. We loved the location, the spa, our room, the countryside surrounding the Hall. The staff are lovely and friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Can't wait to be back in the outside spa with a glass of wine in my hand!!!

Everything about the hotel was lovely but the spa treatment fell short of expectations, because we did not get our room keys until 2.30pm we were slightly late for the treatment booked for 2.30pm, however no one from the hotel or spa reminded us of our booking. I suggested we book another time or another day but was told this was not possible in quite a curt manner, we were then rushed through to the treatment rooms and my facial took 10 minutes which did not seem very relaxing at all, we expressed out dissatisfaction but nothing was done.

Dear Karen, Thank you for your feedback; it is appreciated. I am sorry to read that you found your recent experience with us to be less than satisfactory. Having investigated the situation and spoken to the team members who dealt with you on the day, I can see that you did gain access to your your Spa bedroom before the 3.00pm check-in time,(although never guaranteed) and you did attend your appointment 20 minuets late, in your robes etc.., Saturdays are extremely busy and with other treatments booked in straight after your allotted time, ie 3.00pm, left us absolutely no room for adjustment with your treatments. I am aware that my colleagues on main hotel reception are very used to accommodating early arrival Guests who have treatments around the check-in time and will always try to accommodate, as was done in your case with earlier access to the room, or at the very least, an offer to store luggage. Robes and lockers are available in the changing rooms should our Guests wish to use them or have not been able to get to their rooms or indeed, have checked out and have treatments before departure.

My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic afternoon delight spa day on New Years Day. Fawlsey Hall is a lovely hotel, part of the Handpicked group. The spa itself is a newer addition in the grounds, but is in keeping with the rest of the building. We both enjoyed a good massage, although we both felt it could have been a little firmer. Afterwards, we were led to the relaxation room where we chilled out in recliner chairs with duvets, magazines and a peppermint tea! The spa facilities were lovely - outdoor jacuzzi which was fun (and warm!), good sauna and steam room. The swimming pool was nice too, but it could have been a few degrees warmer. We later had a yummy afternoon tea in the main hall which is stunning. Overall, a great start to the new year and fantastic value for money.
