PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO THERE. IT'S A COMPLE SCAM. GOOGLE IT AND YOU WILL FIND OUT. It went into liquidation and never gave its customers their pictures.
Just wanted to let you know that Doubletake studios opened again as Broadway Studios with the same director Julian Jenkins and his then manager Gillaine Mcllelland

The photoshoot was ok even though it seemed like we was being rushed about. When we got told the prices of the images we just walked out and left was stupidly expensive and I wouldn't waste your money on coming here.

We didnt even make it to the studio. After 2 weeks of trying to cancel the booking, and lots of promised call backs from managers that didnt happen. i was then told i would be charged a cancellation and no show fee of £250!! After cancelling the card and many snotty emails to double take i received a call this evening. Finally got the message through that they will not be charging my card after all we had been trying to cancel this for 2 weeks! The guy i spoke to was rude, wanted me to go to london from huddersfield to listen to the call recordings where Kevin had said that i would be fully refunded providing we cancelled before the day. When i asked him to pay for my train fayre and accomodation, he declined. Wouldnt play the call down the phone and wouldnt send in an email. The outcome was, 'we wont charge your card but you wont receive the £50 booking fee back', i said thats all ive asked from day 1!!!! he then advised that if i wanted to go ahead with the experience on a different day, i could book this with no charge and the £50 will be refunded once attended......

Excuse me but why would i book again with you when ive received such appauling service?!!!!

Dont book it guys, all just a con if you ask me.

Sorry ladies but I feel the need to come on here and plead with you not to drag your men to the Double Take Make Over thing, its just awful, I cant imagine why even women would enjoy this experience its unorganized, unprofessional and just plain stupid if you ask me. I mean what is the pleasure of being made up to look like a prostitute having a bad day by some rushed off their feet staff who have no interest in bringing the best out in you, just want to make you up to look absolutely ridiculous and charge you the earth of some of the most mediocre pictures I have ever seen.
My wife dragged me along to this ‘experience’ an it really is one that I would never like to repeat.
The place is not even clean, its badly run, badly staffed, the staff they do have don’t have a seconds time to spare to even try to make this a unique or fulfilling experience, they don’t seem to enjoy their work and this comes across loud and clear to the clients that are shuffled from pillar to post, left waiting around for an age for sub standard treatments and hair cuts that would probably be a criminal offence in some countries. The products are not good, certainly not the top quality that are advertised, some of the bottles of muck they put on my wifes face were verging on empty and goodness knows how many grubby fingers and hands have been at the contents.
The photo session is just a down market seedy affair where some idiot puts you in all sorts of ‘sexy’ positions that are frankly an embarrassment and I felt that my wife was treated like some low grade street worker it was very unpleasant.
The products they are selling, ie the pictures are massively over priced, not good quality and it takes them, if you are mad enough to buy one, almost three months to turn up and then its in the wrong frame. The customer service department is joke and I find it amazing that some of the loud and clearly half cut women in there seemed to be having the time of their lives. I don’t know what was going on the day we were there but I felt like I had spent a day in a cattle market and just about every girl I saw was made to look the same. If you do go don’t subject your man to it, its just not fun. My wife actually thought it was appauling as well but she still made me buy an overpriced photo and frame 

Very disappointing.
I went to Double Take Make Over Clinic with my daughter. She has just come back from a year away and has decided to go and live over seas and we wanted a nice experience together and some nice picture to keep as a memento of the day, sadly it turned out to be a day that we would rather forget.
I thought the experience would be together but in fact we hardly saw each other, while I had my hair done my daughter was just left hanging around and then I hung around while she got hers done, she hung around while I got my make up done and this just went on and on. They must have been either understaffed or overbooked and there is nothing what so ever to do while you are waiting it’s a joke.
We had been there for almost 5 hours by the time we finally got our picture take, we were not offered any sort of food or drinks, although we did eventually get drinks when we asked repeatedly for them. At one point I suggested that we simply went out to get something to eat or drink and was told if we did that and missed the slot for our nails then it would be our own fault and we may just have to miss out that part of the experience all together, I was shocked, considering that refreshments were meant to be part of the experience. The off hand attitude of the staff was very upsetting and frustrating and on more than one occasion my daughter simply wanted to walk out.
I found it to be very disorganized and not very clean either.
We were not the only ones that were not happy with the way it ran although we were both fairly happy with the way we looked on the pictures, even though they told us it would not be possible for us to have pictures together as I was ready before my daughters make over was complete and they wanted me to go in alone which would have totally missed the entire point of the day and what we were there for and they were not very happy when I put my food down. For this reason we got a smaller time slot with the photographer but frankly at the price of the pictures it’s a good job they didn’t take any more but it would have been nice to have more to choose from. We went over three months ago and the pictures only turned up yesterday, I have been holding of writing this to see if they would ever turn up and now I can report that two of them are the wrong ones!
As much as you end up looking the part it’s a very long winded way of going about it and they are almost on the verge of being rude, but I will keep it as off hand and unfriendly.

I would not recommend DoubleTake Studio to anybody not only are the pictures so expensive its stupid they try to get you to give them the phone number of 100 of your friends! Call my Billy No-mates of you like but I don’t have 100 friends and I certainly don’t have 100 friends that want to have a makeover or want to spend stupid amounts of money paying for the pictures you get at the end of it!
The studio was nowhere near as upbeat as I had expected, I had a look at the website and got the impression it would be really great but it was sort of dull looking, there was music but it wasn’t very good and there loads of waiting time but when you got to the hair/make-up/photos it was really rushed. Also the staff were pretty unfriendly, I would even go so far as to say rude, I think DoubleTake need to do some customer service training if they want to stay in business, because people don’t like paying good money to be treated in an off hand way either!
Another thing I found really misleading is the way they tell you how much it costs for the pictures on the phone, it could have been me getting the wrong end of the stick but I was under the impression I could get a CD of pictures for around 50 pounds but in actual fact it was more like 4000 pounds, I have no idea who has that kind of money to spend on pictures but I certainly don’t! by the time you have taken a day off work and paid to get there the whole thing ends up being really unaffordable.
I think if this company got some staff that were friendly and enjoyed their job rather than making you feel like you are just in the way and taking up too much of their time and booked you in when they were not so busy so you didn’t have to wait so long between sections, gave you more time to get your pictures so you have more than 30 seconds for a costume change, spent a bit more time with you going through the pictures afterwards and quit the intimidating hard sell on the pictures and reduced the price to a sensible rate then it might end up being a far better experience rather than one you would rather forget or at least go away wishing it had been different. I had really looked forward to the day and as much as despite all this I did look good in the pictures I couldn’t really afford them anyway so the way I see it the whole thing was just a bit of a waste of time!

Unless you are a very strong willed person I would avoid Doubletake!
This place to me seems to be a bit of a scam! The prices of the pictures is just ridiculous and nobody on a regular budget would be able to buy the ones that they try to push you into! If you want to go and just get one or two pictures forget it, they almost hold you hostage until you buy more and offer you all sorts of credit options and offers in order to part you from your cash. I can see that many people would just cave in and buy pretty mediocre prints and a extortionate price just to get out of there and away from their pressure tactics.
Equally they do their very best to try to get you to give over numbers of people they can call and if you give enough they will give you a bottle of bubbly! Don’t do it, this sort of marketing should be illegal.
Other than the very nice lady that did my hair I found everybody at Double Take to be very toffy nosed and very off hand, I am sure it didn’t help that they were radically overbooked and nobody who works there seemed to have time to give anybody a lot of attention, its just a case of sitting around until somebody can fit you in to do their bit of you, its really shocking service.
The refreshments are a scandal, its almost impossible to get a drink, had I have known I would have taken my own, despite the fact that they advertise that you get free food and drink all day, the food its just sweets if you can even get your hands on that and considering you are stuck there for about six hours its not very good and I would have rather taken my own than been hungry.
Most of the staff seemed far more interested in gossiping between themselves than anything I had to say as well.
When it came to viewing the pictures they only let you see each one once so you have to keep or discard each one on the spot when you don’t know what the other ones look like and then they try to bully you into buying all of them, it’s a really nasty way of pushing you into getting them all and even when you do stick to your guns they then try pushing you into having crazily priced touch ups done to them.
I would not recommend this company at all. The hairdresser was nice but that is about the best I can say, the make up was fair ground to say the least and frankly its rubbish!

It's odd, on Wahanda this place shows it has 4 reviews but then there's only one visible and the scores have all been averaged out at 4 stars which is quite misleading.
These types of photography studios have high sales targets to hit and unfortunately it all seems like a massive pyramid selling scheme. Shame.
