This was my 3rd time at Cucumba, and another pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, the venue was nice, and the massage was great! Having a deep tissue massage, it has really given me a good nights sleep to iron out all the stiffness and knots I have in my back and shoulders. Will come again.

It's the second time I've visited cucumba, it's really well place and easy to find.
Arrived a bit early and was seen straight away, had a really good treatment and will definitely use this place again and try other treatments.

The foot scrub was really good, it was followed up with a moisturising treatment which left them feeling really soft. The foot massage at the end was such a nice touch, I never have foot massages so it was lovely to walk out feeling so relaxed! The two girls at the salon were very friendly. I'd recommend the treatment and would totally go back.

I had eyebrow threading and it was my first time at cucumba for this treatment. It was good and I really like the location and place. It wasn't the best threading treatment I have had but it was good.

Thanks for your feedback Stephanie. Pretty please let us know what we could do to improve on our threading as we aim to give our clients the very best that we can and can only achieve this by listening and learning to what you guys have to say. Please share and trust that we care..... regards......

Feet were in dire need of industrious TLC - therapist did a lovely job sorting them out and making my nails gorgeous. And they cleverly wrapped up my toes so you can get your normal shoes back on without damaging your new nails - very helpful as flip flops in February is not an appealing thought!

AMAZING. It was really good. Very relaxing, beautician was really friendly and explained the process clearly. I've had a few facials before but this was certainly the best I've had. Really good head massage and foot massage is included too, definitely worth every penny. Just a little thing but when you book it, it says a glass of wine is included, I wasn't offered and I wouldn't have accepted it anyway but if its not part of the offer then I'd take it off the website :) Thank you Cucumba

eeek ! oops.... did we forget the wine? so sorry. To be honest i wasn't even aware we had new packages offering complimentary wine so this is a case of breakdown of communication between us frontliners and our marketing/promotional guru's. Our apologies. I have emailed them to take it off so as not to cause confusion or dissappointment in future. In the meantime, i will think of a way for us to keep it on but make it more obvious when the client is booking eg istead of DERMALOGICA FACIAL .... call it something like WINE & EXTRACTION FACIAL... i will fwd this on to the marketing bods and see if they approve. thanks again for teh very lovely feedback and have a fabulous weekend .... Regards....

Thanks Stephanie - lovely feedback and glad you like the nail colour. The Essie collection never fails to disappoint. If your cuticles are dry then yes cuticle oil is advisable - you will be amazed at the results of a brand like Solar Oil. So sorry your therapist seemed a little pushy - we do get carried away sometimes with our aftercare advice. Hope to see you soon ........

Have spent the last 24 hours in pain after the beautician put creams over my eye area multiple times. Is this normal. My eyes were red and streaming once the treatment was finished. And they are sore now. Not great to have blood shot itchy eyes when you're meeting friend that evening.

Hi Rashad. So sorry too hear about your discomfort. Did you inform the therapist or reception about this after your treatment? If something like this happens please always flag immediately so that action can be quickly taken to reduce/eliminate your discomfort and to work out the reason for the reaction. You should not be experiencing this level of discomfort for this period of time so please feel free to contact us asap so we can investigate and advise you on aftercare. Without more information its hard to assess what happened. Rest assured that the eye area does sometime require treatment and the product used depends on your treatment type/ skin type etc. For a facial, the area needs to be cleansed and may also receive treatment/light moisturiser/serum specifically for the skin around the eye eg brightening (dark circles), anti aging etc.... Are you saying you feel you reacted to the products or that the products went into the eye? If the latter keep rinsing the eye with water. If the former we would need to establish what products you are allergic to and note your record accordingly and for your future reference. We would very much appreciate the opportunity to fully investigate and resolve this for you so please do get in touch with either Yazmin or Vivienne. Regards.......

I had expected a noisy place (there were curtains separating the treatment beds) but I was pleasantly surprised - didn't hear anyone. Perhaps I came at a quiet time. My therapist Judy was very good. Thank you! I will definitely be back.

Thank you for your lovely comments....Yes our concept can be a little like marmite and we are happy to hear you had a good experience. There is a good reason for the curtains - our main strengths is that we flex the space according to client needs/demand - a bit like a restaurant or bar. This is why we are well known for fitting clients in regardless of the treatment type , the group size or whether they book or walk in. As a result spaces are created and tailored through use of partitions, curtains and moving tables/chairs around. So whilst we are not your typical salon, our client base tell us that the benefits of this flexibility far outweight the compromises required to achieve this. We hope over time you will agree and look forward to seeing you in the near future.....

Cucumba is a very nice little massage venue in Soho. I was able to book online with absolutely no problems, and the staff were very friendly and offered a tea or water whilst I was waiting to be seen. The Deep Tissue Massage had really helped with my shoulder and back pain that I've been struggling with, and even managed to get a real good nights sleep from it! I would definitely return!

I think for £14 I would have expected a little more. My usual lady to threads my eye brows, gives me my eye brows a massage. However, this is central London and is to be expected. The salon and the staff were lovely.

Thanks for your comments... Yes the curse of Central London rent and rates means that prices for goods & services are higher. The good news is that we do an annual price comparison which we publish on our website so you can see how we compare to 6 of our local competitors eg TopShop Beauty, Cowshed, Strip, Wah Nails etc and we even tweak our prices - lowering them were necessary to ensure we stay competitive. We have the lowest threading price of our local competitors and do all we can to keep giving you value for money. To get more discounts please check out our Pickled & Pampered discount Thursdays, our Glam & Go or Pick n Mix discount packages or our off peak and seasonal discounts on wahanda and instore. And feel free to haggle - especially if you come in on a very quiet day or quiet period. We would love to hear from you if you feel that any of our prices need adjusting and can demonstrate that like for like competitors in the local area are offering these services for cheaper. Regards......

First time visiting Cucumba, salon was friendly, therapist was good, not overly chatty, didn't really explain what she was doing which was ok but I sometimes like them to do that. The therapy rooms are a little odd, mainly because they're not actually rooms, more curtained off spaces, so they're private in the sense that no one can see you, you can hear everything. One thing I would say is don't go for the last appt of the day, whilst I was lying there with a mask on, my therapist was cleaning up elsewhere and you could hear people shuffling around and moving things which was quite annoying, it kind of ruined the experience for me, which was a shame as the facial itself was good.

Thanks for your comments and your score ... very generous of you considering..... Please do let your therapist know if ever you wish for them to explain/talk through the steps etc. We like clients to relax during facials and we try to follow their lead eg if you ask lots of questions or are very chatty then the therapist usually picks up on this and responds accordingly. Yes our concept can be a little like marmite - our main strengths is that we flex the space according to client needs/demand - a bit like a restaurant or bar. This is why we are well known for fitting clients in regardless of the treatment type , the group size or whether they book or walk in. We hope over time you will agree and look forward to seeing you in the near future. Your comments about last appointment of the day is noted and has been passed to the manager. The team begin cleaning etc at 8pm but we will make them aware that if clients are still onsite they should perhaps leave those areas until last. Regards,,,,,

Rickety table to lie on.
Sold as dermalogica facial with wine - there was no wine and they used products other than dermalogica. There was also no face mapping with I would expect from a dermalogica facial.
Results were pleasing though!

Thanks for your feedback. Please rest assured we only use Dermalogica products – their professional range packaging is different to the retail range and we sometimes decanter for portion control. This may be why they were unfamiliar to you. In terms of face mapping – some salons conduct this as a separate excersise prior to the facial. Due to our concept of selling ‘time’…. Our therapists face map during the cleansing process then prescribe products to accommodate your skin type. This ensures that most of the time is spent treating the skin hence the great results you commented on. In terms of wine – I can only assume you purchased a special offer and that this was not communicated to reception. I have reserved a complimentary drink for 2 whenever you are next in the area. Please do drop in and ask for the Manager.
