I visited Chuan Spa for massage and very satisfied. There was a noise from other floor or area, which sounded like building noise and distracted my relaxation during the treatment but the therapist apologized for it properly and gave me some products as compensation. This is why I did not rate the ambience as highest but the customer care was perfect for the situation. It was not the fault of the therapist but she made efforts to make it up so I was satisfied. The tea and fruit which was served after the treatment was excellent. The only thing I was not impressed is the robe which is too large for ladies. Overall, it was one of the best spa experiences I had in London.

Really amazing place. Top quality, very clean and nice atmosphere. To my surprise, treatment included access to spa facilities and tea with fruits in the end.

I booked this package for a birthday present and was very disappointed with the experience. The massage was very bad we both asked for a stronger massage throughout the treatment but did not get what we asked for. Given that the package only includes a 30min massage I would expect that to be the highlight which it was not at all. After the massage we were offered fresh fruit and herbal tea in the relaxation area. Frankly that was embarrassing the fruit plate consisted of a few old blueberries and loose grapes swimming around on a big plate, I think it would have been better not to offer anything at all. The sauna and steam room were not working properly and were too cold. When it came to the changing room facilities I was really appalled. The ladies room which is relatively small was very overcrowded there were children running around (not sure why they were allowed, this is the first time I see children at a spa) it was noisy, messy and dirty. There were used wet towels evwrywhere the hairdryer was on the floor and the shower area was badly kept with dirty floors. Several staff members walked through without doing anything about this

For the afternoon tea we were waiting for about 20mins between servings, resulting in us being there from 5:30 to 8pm! Each time the waiters would bring a few small sandwiches and getting their attention each time was really difficult although they were not busy. The desserts took even longer because they forgot about us and took all the stuff back down to the kitchen. They did apologise and offered us a glass of champagne but by then we wanted to leave, plus that wouldn't really make up for the time lost waiting around

Overall very bad value for money and not what you would expect from a spa at a 5* hotel. Lovely venue but they let themselves down with the service. Very disappointing.

It was a very nice experience. The staff was friendly & the massage was excellent. The changing room can be crowded. But overall the facilities were good. I loved the green tea & berries I was served after the massage as well. I had a nice relaxing time there.

I got this treatment as a present for my fiance and thought it was a massage - turns out it was a little bit of massage then into a facial so the treatment simply wasn't what he expected. His skin did look much better after the facial, but I think it should definitely be made clearer in the description that this treatment is a facial, not a massage!
Aside from that the spa is good but not too big and there aren't that many different areas to go to but what they have is lovely.

Fantastic but I want it to remain my secret. I had a lovely relaxing time on my own, the staff were friendly and attentive. The massage was amazing. The facilities just right but small SO If it is busy it would spoil the experience.

Pure joy, you're fully taken care of from the moment you make the booking until the end. My massage was excellent. I had a stiff shoulder, and the masseuse knew exactly what do to, now I'm 100% better. Excellent massage, perfect pressure, really felt that she was very good. Afternoon tea was a lovely experience, we were really pampered and the pianist also sang Happy Birthday to my guest as a special request. The food & drink & service was exceptional.

I thought it would be a luxurious afternoon in one of London top quality hotels. The pool or was littered with tissues slowly dissolving. After staff tried to clear it without much luck I jumped in and cleared it for them. Apparently they had some children swimming there in the morning and they hadn't checked on the state of the pool after. The jacuzzi was shut down the entire stay. As there was only a pool, jacuzzi two saunas and one steam rooms it was a great dissaponitment. One member of staff dug out a free beach bag from a cleaning cupboard as thank you for cleaning the pool for them and one member of staff arranged for me to have a day pass to come back to enjoy the jacuzzi. The four stars is merely for the member of staff that arranged the spa voucher. Cleanliness: well the changing room, steams, sauna, treatment areas and general areas were ok. The lime scale build up in the pool room all over the place made me wish I had some viacal with me. Quite gritty and made a stunning pool and pool room look very old and worn. Just some cleaning would make it gorgeous again.
The £50 pedicure was very much as I expected. Nowhere like the £22 one I get from my nail bar up the road. I still have rough skin around my feet and I had to repaint both big toes when I got home. The layers where so thick that the half an hour drying time wasn't enough. Had to throw the tights away as I needed to rip them off my feet.

I'll go back for the free sauna and jacuzzi. I would not ever pay to go there again though.

The spa is beautiful, very 5 star. The only problem is, the restaurant is next door so the spa smells very strongly of food frying. It's a shame, they have created such a beautiful spa but it falls down because of that.

Now to the pedicure, which at £50 was the most expensive one I have ever had. The polish was not smooth and glossy, it was lumpy and horrible. I was not happy and I pointed it out to the receptionist. It was 8pm and I think she wanted to go home, as she just said "oh well, if you have any problems give us a call". Well yes, I did have a problem and I did not want to come back another time to get it sorted out. Luckily the girl who had done my pedicure was passing and heard me. She put another coat of top coat, which made it OK but not great, certainly not worth £50.

I really enjoyed the experience and the spa wasn't busy and it felt very tranquil. The hot tub was really nice and big enough to stretch out fully. Just what I needed to unwind.

I wouldn't say this is the best spa in London. The treatments are nice and the staff are friendly but there isn't a nice place to relax here. There are chairs by the gym but alot of people walk past - not the most relaxing.

Overall - It was a lovely day but I wouldn't be going back as there are many spas in London that I have visited with better facilities.

I did not think that the facilities at the Langham can really be called a 'spa'. There are 5 or 6 chairs near the reception area and 2 chairs in the hall outside the changing areas and gym. There is nowhere to sit and relax in between treatments. My daughter and I went out to a restaurant in order to relax. However, the indian head treatment and massage was absolutely superb and both my daughter and I said that this was the best message that we had ever had.

Its a shame there was no relaxing area to speak of as it could have been the best spa that we had ever been to.

The perfect pampering package - massage, use of gym and spa facilities followed by a delicious afternoon tea. It was a pity we had to leave the spa to have tea- I would have preferred to lounge about in my robe but it was a great afternoon. Thank you Chuan Spa and the Palm Court restaurnt.
