I treated my friend to the Blossoming Beauty package at Chuan Spa in The Langham Hotel.
We had a lovely greeting from the reception staff who then led us to the downstairs Spa area. The Spa itself is small - so probably better to go as a couple. The facilities are great though and its super clean and feels luxurious. There were 2 saunas, a hot tub, swimming pool, steam room, gym - and upstairs were where the treatments took place.
Drinks and complimentary fruit were provided throughout which was well needed!

We spent a lovely 2 hours in the Spa and then afterwards went upstairs for our 1 hour worth of treatments. We opted for the body scrub and back & shoulder massage. The scrub was very quick but the massage made up for it - it was lovely and the Therapist was very attentive - I felt great afterwards and all my knots disappeared!

All in all - a wonderful spa - much better than it looks on the website - probably one of the best I have been too. Also - well impressed they had GHDs in the women's changing room! Good job because I forgot mine at home! The changing area was clean and well equipped too - there was a sauna, steam room inside - and endless amounts of towels. Very handy.

I will definitely pay another visit and would recommend to anyone looking for a little luxury and relaxation from the hectic London lifestyle.

Treated my sister for a pamper day at the spa and it was incredible. Booked the Blossoming Beauty deal which included two half an hour treatments and full use of the facilities.
The atmosphere is calming and relaxing as soon as you come in and the staff are both attentive and approachable. The facilities are well kept and beautifully detailed and always found we had a facility to ourselves which made for a much more personal and relaxing experience.
Changing rooms were clean and the package included complimentary robes, slippers, hair products and even a comb. Great attention to detail.
I can highly recommend the facial, soothing and refreshing and had a very de-stressing massage after a long week. My therapist explained all treatments and product benefits before hand. Wish I'd remember her name, would highly recommend (began with an R).
When relaxing after your treatment, brought fresh fruit and individual herbal tea. Mine was brought out a few minutes late and got a complimentary handmade soap.
Ordered some champagne at the end of the day and was brought a bowl of assorted nuts and a box of chocolates that were divine, and the cherry on top of a brilliant day.
Would highly recommend Chuan spa, and will be back soon! Thank you for making our experience so special.

Very good but the selling of the products at the end was a bit of a surprise...having said that it wasn't a hard sell but a recommendation

The venue itself was great. I took my boyfriend for a pampering day out and it was a good place to spoil him. However, as someone who has had her fair share of beauty treatments, I was unimpressed with the facial and body scrub. I guess it all depends on the therapist you get. My 'full body scrub' certainly wasnt full body -she didnt even do my back and the scrub was rubbed in for less than 10 seconds. For the facial I requested an extraction over the phone when booking my appointment and was told on the day that only one of us could have this, a bit dissapointing when your paying so much money and the whole point of the facial is the extraction part. Overall, pretty average if somewhat disappointing treatments.

The staff however, were very attentive and lovely.

Experience was great for a couple's treatment (girlfriends birthday present). We were initially booked in for different times which wasn't ideal however staff went through every effort to find us a room for two so it worked out perfectly in the end. the only draw back from the whole experience is that the steam and dry sauna are in the changing rooms so as a couple we could only enjoy the salt sauna (which inst very hot) and jacuzzi together.

I bought this as a surprise for my sisters birthday and was absolutely thrilled with the day! We arrived a few hours early to use the spa facilities which were exemplary and then went for our treatments which were wonderful! The staff were great and we are definitely booking again!

I visited Chuan Spa for massage and very satisfied. There was a noise from other floor or area, which sounded like building noise and distracted my relaxation during the treatment but the therapist apologized for it properly and gave me some products as compensation. This is why I did not rate the ambience as highest but the customer care was perfect for the situation. It was not the fault of the therapist but she made efforts to make it up so I was satisfied. The tea and fruit which was served after the treatment was excellent. The only thing I was not impressed is the robe which is too large for ladies. Overall, it was one of the best spa experiences I had in London.

I booked this package for a birthday present and was very disappointed with the experience. The massage was very bad we both asked for a stronger massage throughout the treatment but did not get what we asked for. Given that the package only includes a 30min massage I would expect that to be the highlight which it was not at all. After the massage we were offered fresh fruit and herbal tea in the relaxation area. Frankly that was embarrassing the fruit plate consisted of a few old blueberries and loose grapes swimming around on a big plate, I think it would have been better not to offer anything at all. The sauna and steam room were not working properly and were too cold. When it came to the changing room facilities I was really appalled. The ladies room which is relatively small was very overcrowded there were children running around (not sure why they were allowed, this is the first time I see children at a spa) it was noisy, messy and dirty. There were used wet towels evwrywhere the hairdryer was on the floor and the shower area was badly kept with dirty floors. Several staff members walked through without doing anything about this

For the afternoon tea we were waiting for about 20mins between servings, resulting in us being there from 5:30 to 8pm! Each time the waiters would bring a few small sandwiches and getting their attention each time was really difficult although they were not busy. The desserts took even longer because they forgot about us and took all the stuff back down to the kitchen. They did apologise and offered us a glass of champagne but by then we wanted to leave, plus that wouldn't really make up for the time lost waiting around

Overall very bad value for money and not what you would expect from a spa at a 5* hotel. Lovely venue but they let themselves down with the service. Very disappointing.

It was a very nice experience. The staff was friendly & the massage was excellent. The changing room can be crowded. But overall the facilities were good. I loved the green tea & berries I was served after the massage as well. I had a nice relaxing time there.
