I stayed at the Cedar Court Hotel & Spa for a surprise weekend birthday break. Whilst there, I had the Aromatherapy Massage which was amazing, incredibly relaxing and comfortable. We also used the spa facilities which were equally as great. The service and therapists were all lovely and very helpful. I would definitely go again!

Great value for the cost of the deal but would only allocate about 2 hours if I went back as there is just a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and 4 relaxing beds in a small room so got a bit bored after a couple of hours. Really lovely therapists (2 on duty on a sunday) who carried out a manicure efficiently and expertly. Lovely 5 star hotel in a gorgeous old building of historical interest. Hotel guests also use the facilities and children too.
Would return and would reccomend.

For me this was a lovely hotel with good facilities rather than a day spa. The pool is available for children to use and the two little girls in at the same time as us were screaming at the top of their voices so not very relaxing. The therapists really make up for any other imperfections with the other facilities and my manicure was expertly carried out by a friendly and knowledgable woman.
The hotel itself is in a great location and in a very historical building which had been fabulously preserved. I found the deal to be really good value for money and would go again but not as a spa day.

This was a truly relaxing day out for my friends and I. The hotel is beautiful and the spa has everything you need. The staff were friendly, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our visit. We all had manicure treatments which lasted 20 minutes - we thought they were supposed to last 35 minutes, and weren't offered our £10 voucher (although we decided not to buy any products on the day) so were a little disappointed but overall it was a great experience which I would recommend.

I booked this for my mums birthday and we had an excellent time. The spa was extremely quiet! There was only ourselves in the spa throughout (We went on a Wednesday). They could have been an extra member of staff on the reception as the phone didnt stop ringing. The lunch is expensive however it is presented nicely in the relaxation room.
We both had a manicure. I went on holiday the following day and it lasted the whole two weeks whilst we were away. However, my mums nails had varnish missing in several places, which the therapist corrected when my mum approached her and chipped only a couple of days after.
I would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Very good value, 3rd visit and each and every time meets all expectations for the price - recommend on this deal as you can't go wrong. Lovely venue, friendly staff and not rushed at all. They even did a mancicure for my partner so they were great at adapting the offer to include both male/females!

Fabulous deal - very good value for money - excellent quality fixture and fittings. Nice ambience, very friendly staff. The place was warm, clean and welcoming and the products in the changing rooms excellent. The manicure was pretty basic but still worth every penny! would return and recommend.

Very disappointing. We were rushed from the start. The manicure was very quick and chipped the same day. When we asked about not even being given handcream we were told it was extra!
Massage was so gentle as to be useless. The only luch available was a £10 sandwich, nicely presented but coupled with £4 for a cup of tea was a big added extra.(Parking was also very expensive)
First class prices but service and expertise very low rate. Venue lovely but all three of us decided no value and not to visit or recommend again.

Not having been to this particular hotel and spa before, we really did not know what to expect. Our expectations however were absolutely exceeded. The spa facilities, treatment rooms and product range were all of exceptionally high standard, even down to the Molton Brown products in the showers. The team of therapists were very well trained and professional, it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.
The only thing I would say is the pictures on the website do not do the spa justice in addition to which the relaxation room could have done with being a little bigger.

Enjoyed the whole experience. It was bought as a treat for my firend's birthday, she enjoyed the whole thing. The Therapists were both lovely. Everyone had plenty of time for us, we were not rushed at all.

The spa day started kind of awkwardly as we were left in the relaxation room with no explanation or discussion. I had to retiurn the disclaimer and ask if we could have some water. when we were shown to the changing room we were asked if we minded a man being in there!!!! I had to suggest he was asked to leave before we got changed. All not very promising. The nail bar was nice but had I not had a friend there to chat to I would have felt awkward. The gym was super and the girl in shorts and t shirt was much more friendly and helpful. The pool, jacuzzi and steam were great. We had to ask re champagnde but when we did she organised it in the bar. The hotel and staff were fantasic. enjoyed champers on sun terrace. Would like to go back! Great value and super ambience after an awkward start.

To say this was a Wahanda deal it made no difference to the level of service we received. Outstanding throughout. Very relaxed experience, great atmosphere, beautiful setting, nicely chilled champagne, friendly staff and came out very relaxed. Also rebooked so impressed. Only downside was that the french manicure was low on stock so was a little gloopy but the finished polish still looked good. Great Location too so easy to make a day of it in York :)

The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The spa facilities were lovely, although I would recommend visiting at a quiet time during the week as the spa is quite small and may feel overcrowded at busier times. My friend and I visited on a Friday afternoon and it was very quiet and relaxing. The champagne was also lovely! We had the express manicure which was definately 'express' and felt a little rushed. Other than that it was a lovely afternoon and good value overall.

The spa itself is very nice, clean and a good experience. It is a little on the small side and could get quite cosy if more than about 6 in at a time. Much better experience with only a few of you. Manicure was ok but VERY quick and didn't really feel it was worth the time. The spa itself and the glass of champagne however were very nice and would go again for those aspects!

To be fair I agree I wouldn't pay full price for this express manicure... all you get is a quick file, cuticles pushed back and a polish. As a regular to manicures as standard I expected, shape, buff, cuticles, hand cream and hand massage and polish and that is doable in time slot. However, don't let this put you off as for £20 this is a great deal and the rest of the experience is superb!
