This was a Groupon purchase. When I booked by phone following purchase there were language issues from the start but it was suggested that I book in for 5pm but they told me they closed at 6pm. After some thought I was concerned that they could do a mud wrap, massage and facial in one hour so I called again. I was told it was a 90 minute session I should arrive at 4.30pm. So I left home in plenty of time. Entered the postcode and address into my sat nav. Sometime later I arrived at the address but no salon. I rang them and again language problems. She told me I was in the wrong place and basically did not have the time to talk to me as she was too busy and put the phone down on me. I called again all she kept saying is follow the H91 bus route(!) and it was near the Master Robert Hotel - several miles away. When I eventually found the place and arrived just at 4.30 I advised her that the address on the website and voucher are wrong - she said "probably"!
There was no attention at all between 4.30 and gone 5pm except "where's the voucher and fill in this form".
Eventually I was ushered into a tiny treatment room and told to take my clothes off. No offer of paper pants for the mud wrap. The first thing I noticed was how dirty some if the equipment was - yellow type product and dust - which thankfully they did not use on me. Dirty mat on the floor. There was no privacy whilst I undressed. Clearly time was of the essence. I was left lying naked on the bed and they kept opening the room door which faced the full length window at the front of the salon so any passersby (it's a main road!) could potentially see you on the bed. Throughout the session the owner kept flitting in and out. Disturbing to say the least and certainly not relaxing.
The facial was farcical. A wash, St Ives peach face mask and products that I had never heard of. When I asked if there were any chemicals in the products because I had sensitive skin (per the questionaire) I was told by the salon owner "all products have chemicals" in a most dismissive way. The owner and therapist then had a row in another language! They did the "facial" which was so basic I do a better job at home, whilst I am in the wrap. When it came to removing the mud wrap, there was no wash facility. She in effect tried to use a sponge, bowl of water and white tissue paper to wash and dry me! As you can imagine I was filthy when I arrived home.
Massage - well another joke. By the time I was lying on the bed for the massage it was a 5 minute massage of my back, shoulders and arms with oil. No other part of my body had any moisturizing after the mud wrap so my skin was horribly dry.
By 6.07pm she was in such a rush to leave I was told to get off the bed (no relax for 5 minutes and a glass to water, as you would usually have in a professional salon) and told to get dressed. There was no privacy to get dressed. In fact they both came into the tiny room cleaning up and sweeping the floor whilst I was trying to get dressed. I was their “inconvenience” of the day – quite clearly!
I have to say this has been the worst "salon" experience I have ever encountered anywhere in the world! My assumption with Groupon is that vendors want to encourage new customers by introducing themselves with first visit incentives. Clearly in this case I would NEVER go back there again.

I genuinely don't know how anyone could fault this place... I visited today and had a full head of highlights and lowlights with a wash cut and blowdry. The owner was lovely and knew exactly what she was talking about. All of the staff were bubbly and friendly. I am so pleased with my hair and will definitely return there for future hair appointments. A friend and I are already booked in for beauty treatments I was so satisfied... People should know that the salon is currently going through a refurb but doesn't effect the professional service what so ever. Highly recommend this salon for service, atmosphere and value for money :)

Having booked an eyebrow wax and shellac treatment, I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment to be told that the lady who does the nails had left early because she was unwell. They didn't have anybody else in to do my nails because when they received my wahanda booking they didn't write down what treatment I had booked! I didn't mind that, I know that these things happen. So I said that I'd like to go ahead with my eyebrow wax anyway. The lady wouldn't wax my eyebrows because she said that she could only thread (and I HATE threading - find it very painful) but my eyebrows were in really bad shape and I needed them done for the next day. The shape etc of the eyebrows was very nice so I was quite happy when they were done until I went to the desk and told the lady that I had paid for my appointment on Wahanda. She said that they had no record of that and i would need to pay. So I tried to bring up my email but my phone coverage was awful. Anyway, in the end I had to pay twice for my treatment. Will NOT be returning here!

I bought a voucher for 3 treatments and was very disappointed. The salon was dead even though it was on a Saturday. The staff were miserable, and the room was tiny and messy. Had a body massage, which was not relaxing at all. Exfoliation was even worse! The facial was taken with cheap products and all she used was a cleanser, toner and a mask which stung! Hardly call this a facial. Good job I had a voucher, otherwise I would have been very peeved if I had to pay full price. Unpleasant experience!!

Really lovely experience, the salon had not checked wahanda booking so I was not booked in despite having paid online but they accommodated me and the service was wonderful. Really good eyebrow wax, I'll definitely be returning.
