This was my first time trying out Bikram yoga after being recommended by a friend to try it out. The person taking the was very knowledgeable and passionate and I felt great after the class had finished! I would definitely recommend going to this venue!
I was curious about Bikram Yoga as my freind has been talking about it for ages. Im a total convert the teacher was amazing, and very passionate about teaching us the best way to do the poses. I felt amazing afterwards.
I took a few sessions of Bikram Yoga here as part of their £20 for 10 days offer. I really did feel great after the sessions, my skin felt amazing and I was exhausted afterwards. It just unfortunate it's so far away from where I currently live and work. The pricing is great for those that will use this as their primary method of exercise, I tried it to try and improve my flexibility which I did. The only advice I would give is, try to drink as much water as possible during the day before your class, don't drink alcohol the night before you go to class, and in the first few session try and sit near the door so when the teacher does open it you get some air! The changing rooms are beyond basic (or they were when I went there), there are only 2 hair dryers and considering there can be up to 40 people in a class, 2/3 or which appear to be women, this can be an issue. They charge £1 for renting a yoga mat and the same for water. There's a Tesco down the road and you're probably better of getting water from there.
This is one of the worst yoga studios I've ever been to. I think they need to brush up on what Bikram is supposed to be all about. The women's changing room is tiny and overcrowded and the staff are unhelpful. More boot camp than Bikram.
At last a Bikram studio in East London and it's great. Not as big as some of the others scattered across the city, but it's a nice bright studio, has better changing facilities and staffed with really good teachers. So nice to be able to practise without getting an arm in your face or having someone's toes in your eyes during cobra! The only downside is the toilet facilites - there are only two for use by both men and women, fortunately the classes do not get too packed so this is not an issue just yet. I almost don't want the world to find out about this place... I highly recommend it (but don't tell everyone!).
