The staff were very nice, lunch was fine and treatments were good but felt a bit rushed. The steam room was out of order and showers and lockers were very shabby and needed an overhaul . Probably not use this place again

This was a last minute booking for my daughter and the weather was miserable outside so this was very welcome. The spar facilities were all in working order and the spa was quiet so we were able to make best use of the facilities. The pool is small but perfectly fine though the tiled areas around the pool are definately looking very tired. The staff were lovely very attentive and the treatments were spot on. Our meal was lets just say interesting (in an aeroplane kind of way?) but edible never the less. I would recommend overall especially taking what we paid into account.

This was a really enjoyable day! The lunch wasn't amazing or anything but the massage was incredible and the staff very friendly.

Spa facilities old fashioned and very very small, major overhaul required, jacuzzi out of order but not cordoned off so people will still sitting in it, pool about 1/4 size of a normal pool, lots of empty wasted space that could be utilised. Staff changed the times of ours facials without telling us and left us wasting 45 mins, had 1st appointment of day for massage but agin was taken 20 mins late.

Restaurant service was terrible, dinner on first night was inedible what should have been feather of beef, looked and tasted like it came from a cow of died of old age was vile, staff uninterested. 2nd night and dinner had to wait over 30 mins for each course due to a function in the hotel, breakfast had poor choice options and poor quality produce.

Hotel rooms where old fashioned but clean, however as hotel is in the student area we never slept on either night due to the noise from the street, double or secondary glazing is a necessarity we spoke to other residents who also had the same problems with noise.

Great massage. A bit disappointed that the jacuzzi wasn't working. Great food, friendly staff. Big room which was clean and comfortable.

No ambience. Smelly steam room, like damp and feet. Tiny jacuzzi, average pool in a basement with warning tape surrounding shower and ruining the look of the spa. Multiple yellow 'don't slip' signs around the pool and the relaxation areas. Quite disappointing. Low quality slippers and towels.

Friendly staff, good value for money, however the premises are in need of decoration and are a bit 'tired' and could do with a freshen up. The treatments were enjoyable and we felt well looked after by the staff at all times.

The treatment was good, just the place let the whole experience down. Very run-down and not overly clean. Will contemplate going back, but probably not.

Treatment time was scheduled for 25 minutes but with going to a different floor to the treatment room and changing times on either side the actual facial must have been around 18 minutes.

I had been looking online for weeks for an overnight spa break as a Christmas present for my mum. I was beginning to loose hope at finding something in Edinburgh on a manageble budget when i came across Wahanda. Their package was exactly what i had been looking for, including the same hotel, but the price was almost half what i had been quoted elsewhere. I was a little nervous on arriving at the hotel as all i had was a confirmation e-mail but we encountered no probelms. When we arrived it appeared that it had been booked in as a double room instead of a twin room and in the end we ended up with a triple room. The room was massive with 2 televisions and 2 showers, a king size bed and a single bed with it's own mini seating area. We headed straight to the hotel facilities before our treatments. We did not get any fluffy towels, although they may have been in the wrong room, but that was probably the only thing we did not receive that was in the price. The pool and facilities were clean. There were only a small amount of people in that day but any more and it was have been a bit crowded. We both opted to have the back, neck & shoulder massage followed by the facial. It was very relaxing and we were both so tired when we got out we were in bed for 10pm. Dinner was beautiful with lots of choices on the menu. Breakfast was the same that suited all tasts - continetal, full breakfast etc We had tickets to see the Lion King on day of check out and the hotel was happy to hold onto our luggage till the end of the day. Staff was very helpful. Hotel was beautiful. Facilities clean. I would 100% consider going back to the hotel on the same deal.
