After queuing to even get booked into the hotel for at least 25 minutes, we finally were issued our card to gain entry to the room. Dinner slots had to be booked, for which we were offered 6.30pm or 8.45pm as there was apparently no other times available. We chose the earlier spot slightly reluctantly but were reassured it would not be busy then and also because eating past 9pm would have been far too late. We eventually took the very long walk right to the far end of the hotel, at least a 5 minute walk to only find that our card did not work. We walked all the way back to Reception who pressed some magic buttons, which allowed us to at last get to our room.
After a much needed cup of tea, we decided to venture to the spa, guess what, absolutely no slots available. I appreciate that yes it is a busy time of year, and that pre-booking is recommended, however the whole point of lastminute.com is just that to book last minute, which is what we did and did not have a chance in the crazy few days before Christmas to repeatedly phone the spa which is what we did in an attempt to book some sessions. I believe that if so many vouchers are going to be sold , then there should at least be the capacity to be able to handle the demand.
Anyhow, we made the most of the pool and jacuzzi, which was lovely albeit very briefly as we then had to rush to get ready for dinner.

We arrived at the restaurant and greeted by a member of staff who sat us to our table. They returned shortly after took our food and drinks orders. My partners drink arrived in a few minutes, mine was nowhere to be seen. I think it was after the fourth time of asking that it finally arrived, well after I had already finished my starter and it had been cleared away.
The main course came after a very considerable wait, about 45 minutes! And it was cold. Someone finally came to check on us, and I advised mine was cold, my partners was too. They offered to bring a whole new dish, which they did after yet another wait and far inferior in size compared to the first offering. We had also requested a side off vegetables each with our main, which came with the first meal, but not again with the second so were left and very cold by the time our second meal came.
We were in the restaurant just over three hours and to be honest it was a painful experience and were glad to leave and go somewhere more relaxing for a drink and chill out. We used the bar area, which had obviously been very busy as there were dirty plates in the bar area still and empty drinks on many tables. This didn't matter as the bar member was attentive form the start, we had a nice area to sit, which he came and cleared for us as soon as he could and he was working alone.

Disappointment was the main thing we took away from what was meant to be our very brief chance to escape from it all, just the two of us after the madness of Christmas.

Fantastic hotel - our room was perfect. Our treatments were very professionally done and really enjoyable. The food was outstanding. Be warned there is a £25pp limit for the evening meal which was not made clear to us... Luckily I did not go for the steak as I would have been unpleasantly surprised to be hit with a bill at the end of our meal! Fortunately we only had to pay £3.50 extra for our food. The restaurant food really was stunning though. Breakfast was nice with a great choice although the cooked food was cold. I would definitely recommend this hotel and go back again. The value for money was outstanding.

The deal includes use of the hotel's spa facilities from 10 until 6 however we got there at 11 and that was still far too much time between using the spa facilities and our treatments that were booked for 14:30. If you're wanting a place to relax in the pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub forget it! There were more kids than adults there so relaxation was out of the question! The spa facilities are also quite tired and in serious need of a refurbishment. There weren't many seats to sit/relax around the pool area if you didn't want to be in the water either. Although the spa facilities left us underwhelmed we couldn't fault the treatments at all. We had back massages and facials so good value for money from that point of view. After our treatments we ended the day with afternoon tea which was OK. All in all OK but probably would only go back for treatments.

Excellent value for money. We loved it. Treatments were really nice.
Restaurant was ok but staff a little unprofessional at times. Would def recommend it though as it is excellent value for money and we would def go back again.

Great value for money - not the fanciest spa resort I've been to, but good accommodation and facilities and decent meals!

After reading a few other reviews (on another famous trip review site) we were doubtful that this spa break would be any good but thankfully it all turned out rather well. Parking was easy (but follow the instructions to check in first before unloading your luggage as the reception and the rooms are in different directions). The room itself was decent enough but it was an adjoining room (with the door obviously being locked by key), however this turned into a problem as the people next door also had a baby which screamed all night (so much for a relaxing spa break). We were out and about during the day but got to the leisure facilities around 2.30pm and the pool was very quiet then but got busy towards 4pm. The leisure facilities are generally good but its a shame they couldn't fit more loungers in as there are only 6 by the pool and these get "reserved" very quickly. The treatments were good although the Full Body Aromatherapy Massage was short (at nearer 45 mins than the 60 min specified), however the Facial was the full 60 mins and very good. The restaurant was busy (both Breakfast and Evening) but the food came out quickly and efficiently and there were no complaints from us. We had a good time at the Cheltenham Park Hotel and would book again through Wahanda for the right deal but certainly wouldn't pay the full "direct" price. TIP: Make sure your robes and slippers are in the room otherwise you get them from the main reception (not leisure reception as you might think).

Very good value for money with price including one night's accommodation, a meal in the restaurant worth £25, breakfast and 1 hour spa treatment. The hotel was very clean and staff friendly, only slightly negative aspects were waiting a long time to be served the main course and the massage lasting 50 minutes rather than 60 as advertised. Overall though, would highly recommend.

Great place without being too posh. Restaurant really airy and light, with great view over the park. Staff was really friendly and treatment was excellent. Definitely great value for money.

Bought as a gift for my mother in law. Was ok but not the best manicure she's ever had. The technician was newly trained and bit inexperienced.

The facilities was good, however, some of the staffs in the Hotel were extremely rude to me and my friend. We ordered two burgers for lunch, it took forever to come, so naturally I asked the question how long do we need to wait; and one of the staff said it's in the kitchen and left. 5 mins later, another staff came to us and said:" the burger took 40 mins to cook, and you only waited for 25 mins so you need to wait for longer." I said we hadn't been told when we ordered the food, then she replied:" we don't tell everyone how long it takes, and it's very normally that hot food takes 40 mins to cook. Everywhere is like that." ...

I think it is enough story has been told here, you get what I mean by "rude". I have to say, not everyone was like that, but sometimes one is enough to put customers off.

There was sommuch, I'm just going to list everything that was wrong:
On arrival, the receptionist was really miserable and not very helpful.
The pool was full of a baby swimming class, so for two hours we were deafened by the group leader singing nursery rhymes and the screaming of babies. They had two thirds of the pool roped off to themselves, and the four loungers available for guests were covered in babies towels and swimming paraphernalia.
We had no choice but to use the jacuzzi as the pool was dominated by crying babies, but the jacuzzi was covered in an oily foam which was really unpleasant.
There was no where to sit.
The massive clock on the wall was wrong, so we were late for our treatments.
My treatment room was pleasant enough, but the ambient music was drowned out by people shouting in the reception area just outside the door, and children running around shouting and slamming doors.
After my foot treatment I asked for some slippers as my feet had lotion on and I was worried about slipping on the stone floors. There were no slippers so I had to wipe the lotion off my feet and hope for the best.
The general pool area was tatty and not very clean.
We found our way to the bar for lunch, where drilling and sanding were going on behind the bar, so again not very pleasant.
Overall, the place had the feel of an out of date council swimming pool. My friend and I laughed about it, but even at the lastminute.com price we paid, we still didnt feel we had value for money, and definitely wont be going back.

The voucher included half day at the spa, mini treatment (30mins) and lunch. On arrival we were informed that the booking system was down, so they didn't appear to have a clue what was going on. The man on reception was very uninformative and did not seem to know what was going on, or what was included in the offer. We were informed that we would have to pay extra for bathrobe/slippers as he "couldn't see anything about it on the email". I have checked the voucher details since (I could not bring them up on my phone) and it does say that slippers and robe are provided. I appreciate that the system being down might have made things difficult, but the reception staff were not very helpful or friendly. The changing rooms and pool/spa area were very busy and a bit grimey, and the pool was also used by hotel guests so there were a lot of kids, which is fine but was not what I expected and was not very relaxing! It was more like a leisure centre than a spa. The massage treatment was ok, but nothing special. The girls giving the massages were at least friendly. All four of us went for the 30min back massage, but none of us got more than 20-25mins. When we asked about lunch after the massages, we were told that we should have ordered our food earlier - how were we supposed to know this? We saw the lunch menu, which consisted of a couple of sandwiches and jacket potato choices. As it looked incredibly unappetising, and by this point we did not have much time left to spare, we decided to leave without having the lunch. All in all, we got an OK massage and a bit of time in the jacuzzi, so it wasn't a total disaster, but I would definitely not pay £35 for this again.

My premium double room was comfortable and had a lovely view. I had the voucher deal which included meals, the only vegetarian dinner option was pasta which was disapointing but the buffet breakfast options were fine.
The massage was lovely and relaxing but afterwards there was a group of screaming kids in the pool/jacuzzi area and later a group of men arrived which meant I wasn't able to enjoy the facilities as part of my 'relax break' deal.
All of the staff were helpful and I felt comfortable walking around in my robe.

A very good deal, except that the booking for the massages was not relayed to the right people.
We received a full rebate, so not too worried.
