i had previously booked the treatment for myself but as i told my friend come near the time he too wanted to tag along, so as i rang the venue if it was possible for a further friend to tag along and receive treatment at the same time i was over whelmed and glad and surprised that it was possible for me to bring my friend and he too receive the great offer of this treatment, i would use this therapist again in near future, and for the price payed i believe it to be a bargain, excellent service and offer and made me feel welcomed even when i rang and asked if i can bring a close friend along
I booked for a Sunday, so was a little surprised to find that the venue (a hairdressing salon) was actually closed on Sundays! The salon, which was in the basement was open, so a member of staff unlocked and let me in. Their last client was running late, so I had a bit of a wait. They got me some green tea in the meantime. The staff seemed very anxious about the over-run, and kept apologising. The venue was not ideal: the stairs were rather steep, winding and poorly carpeted, and I nearly tripped a couple of times. The staff seemed very aware of this, and very apologetic about it all. The massage itself was blissfully good. I had the earth option, which was a deep tissue massage. It was thorough and the therapist was very skilled. She asked where the pain was, and then focused on that area for what felt like hours. The ambience was rather spoiled by how thin the walls were, and the fact that the next clients were waiting directly outside, and talking loudly. The other therapists were also having a loud conversation directly outside the massage room. It was all at odds with the 'calming music' being played. I'd also say that the air was a bit thick, with the heating turned up quite a lot and I got very dehydrated pretty quickly. They did fetch me water, though, so that was good. Overall, I'd say the venue was a real let-down, but the skill, thoroughness and politeness of the therapist and staff were a real positive. I'd think about coming back; if they refurbished the venue or moved to one a bit more suitable, I'd become a regular client.
I think my first impression was shock at how they'd made, what could potentially be a dingy small basement into a little oasis of calm. As I walked down the very steep stairs I did wonder what I'd find but was pleasantly surprised. The next thing that really impressed me was that Anna greeted me by first name. I didn't feel like just an appointment in a book but a human being, and that was really lovely. The treatment room was similarly calm and welcoming. Next came Roberta who also greeted me by my first name and introduced herself. She was an incredibly proficient therapist and made me very relaxed and confident in her. I wouldn't have any hesitation in being massaged by her again. All in all it was a lovely experience and I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending them to any friends or colleagues or of course attending again!
This is a very small spa . Brilliantly attentive. Very friendly staff. Once inside the room it is just the way it needs to be. Had a great birthday - thanks Ladies . Recomended, for sure !
Booking proess was really easy - even got a confirmation e mail which described the treatment etc and offered directions. Salon is in basement of a hair salon (quite narrow/steep interior steps). Staff were very welcoming and efficient in ensuring I was happy about the treatment and suggesting customisation to take account of areas identified on my cleint questionnaire. Before/during and after my treatment I was asked to ensure I was comfortable and that the treatment was meeting my needs (eg pressure). the therapist (Carolina) was excellent- one of the best massages I have had in a long time - I truly floated out of the place. She used both Lava shells and hands on masage and the treatment was not rushed at all- i was there longer than I expected. Even after the massage Anna took time for a green tea and a chat. The hair salon above has a tiled flor so there is a background noise of people walking around but the therapy room music masks that a little. Will definitely be back - I felt great afterwards.
