This was absolutely lovely. I had a nice manicure, then had lunch in the restaurant of this 5 star boutique hotel near Hyde Park. The spa is tiny but all shiny and new and the restaurant is real fine dining. They do a set lunch 2 courses for £15 which includes coffee and homemade truffles so I will definitely be returning. A real treat for a tired mummy.
What a wonderful way to have a quick treat! Welcoming staff, comfortable, sumptious surroundings and attentive treatment. This was followed by a delicious lunch in the Athenaeum restaurant. The ambience was perfect. I would definitely revisit and have already recommended the spa and restaurant to my stressed friends who work in the West End. Well done to the staff for providing such a rewarding experience for us.
I bought an offer for a mini manicure with lunch, then upgraded it to Elemis deep tissue massage with 20% discount. I intended to use it all in one visit. Unfortunately, I was somehow only booked for a massage, as a girl "forgot" to book me for lunch. So I had to book another visit. The massage was very good if you like real pressure. Mani was really a light version while seating on a sofa in the hall. Lunch was good. When buying this offer you really do not save much, but it is a good introduction to this place. Though I did not see much to do there.
My experience was absolutely amazing. From the time I entered the hotel I knew I was in for a treat, the decor was so stunning and the staff were very friendly. The afternoon tea was out of this world, I thought I would not be able to move once I had finished and that was before the deserts arrived. The choice was brilliant and oh so delicious. After afternoon tea I had a manicure, the treatment area was so relaxing and comfortable. I was offered a drink and there were fresh fruit and nuts available, although I couldn't physically eat anything else. The manicure was lovely and the therapist made it even more worthwhile. She was friendly, warm and just made me feel so comfortable. After the manicure I was left to relax, and was not rushed out of the area. I had a fantastic time and will definitely be visiting this hotel again.
Booking my appointment was very easy and my choice was available. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that due to a few groups we would have to do it in the sauna and jaquzzi rooms which was okay as they had a nice waiting area with chairs and magazines; which wa fine until two ladies came in to use the facilities and I felt a overdressed! The therapist brought me a drink and I choose my colour from a very large selection. The therapist returned and briefly filed my nails and then added colour and that was it finished in 15minutes! I used the other 15 minutes to wait for my nails to dry which was a treat and they looked beautiful. The lunch was faultless and beautiful with fresh local produce, exceptional with handmade chocolates and coffee to finish. The lunch was worth the price alone and the hotel is beautiful tip do not use the ladies in the spa as there is only one in the upboard sized changing room instead use the one on the first floor much larger with mouth wash! However the treatment was disappointing as it was not a mini manicure but simply a file and polish carried out on the knees of the beauticianas there was no space in the other area. They looked lovely but I was expecting more cuticle work and perhaps a mini massage with hand cream, yet the food is heavenly if you go go for this and see the manicure as an extra treat that way you wil not be disappointed.
