We had to wait around 5 mins at the spa reception for someone to greet us with I’ve never experienced before and than all of a sudden 6 members of staff appeared from the back rooms.

Our initial attempts were to make the booking by telephone but calls were not answered. Eventually the booking was made online but this led to treatments being beforw the spa session when I would have preferred them at the end. More information up front would be much better. The treatment staff were very nice and very professional. Facilities were clean and of a good standard.

Had a really terrific time at the Athenaeum. The couples massage was incredibly relaxing and the whole experience was brilliant value, especially for central London.
The bookings are well-timed so that you get near exclusive use of the hot tub / sauna / steam room facilities, which is an added bonus. The staff were really friendly and we would definitely recommend a visit.
