The decoraction was really on fashoin but after 2 weeks of my visit I have called for shellac manicure again and I have been informed that they are closed 2 weeks for decoration. And the staff on the phone
admitted that they urgently needed updated proper decoration because of that even just not right season but they are closed and they will lokk forward to see me and all the customer in the re opening and they will give better service with new better facilities. Staff are vietnamise, they only talk their language but
I don't mind. That is normal for me. But the youbg girl serving to me, she was good enough for rme
to chat and to understand me what I like and whet I want.

They revamped the salon and i must say it looks nicer now.
I just asked them to apply colour on my nails (without touching them)..so i can't say anything about a proper manicure.
The colour was applied ok, nothing amazing..
I would recommend only if you're going with a deal so you will not be disappoimnted by paying a high price for a just ok service

Worst manicure I have ever had. When I go to my usual salon, their bog-standard manicure usually lasts a whole week. This manicure was starting to peel almost as soon as it was dry. I gave up altogether on day 2 and took the lot off. I think the manicurist put too much bottom coat on - it was all pooled around my cuticles - and the polish itself must have been old (she added remover to make it liquid enough to use). Add to that a general ambiance of cheapness, with waxes being done behind a curtain in the main room rather than in a separate cubicle. Nasty, tacky place turning out nasty, tacky results.

shellac manicure was just OK. i only asked them to apply the colour though as i didn't like how they shape the nails. they shape nails differently ..some rounded..some squared..other longer than others..
i will go back with a deal offer..but again..just asking them to apply the shellac polish..i would not recommend a proper manicure

I really should have read the reviews before getting a manicure at Annabel's. I'm a local and have been meaning to check this place out for months; it looks lovely from the outside and Beauchamp Place is a fantastic street with lots of interesting places to eat and shop. However, this salon let me down in so many ways that I will outline them via a numbered list:

1. I paid for a luxury manicure but it lacked even the most basic luxury elements. My hands were not moisturised, the underside of my nails were not cleaned and my nails were not even filed in a straight line. I have naturally long, strong nails to start with, so it quite hard to get my manicure wrong. The nails on one hand were filed a completely different shape to the nails on the other hand, and some were filed very short while others were left long. The edges were left sharp, so I had to file them smooth at home.
2. The manicurist (if I can even call him that) used a very very thick layer of polish, so the overall effect was gloopy and uneven. I eventually had to show him how much polish to use, because he could not understand when I tried to explain to him.
3. The manicurist did not speak a word of English and was rude bordering on aggressive. I don't mind if my manicurist speaks limited English but it was impossible to communicate with him, because he literally did not speak a single word of English. He was very surly and kept yanking my hands.
4. When painting my nails, he left a large gap around the nail bed on some of my nails, but not others. The overall effect was uneven.
5. When my nails dried under the drying machine, the gloss crinkled because it was so old and gloopy. It took a long time to dry because the layer was far too thick. I've noticed that new nail salons in Kensington & Chelsea use UV light bars, so I think Annabel's has missed a trick by installing the old-fashioned heat drying machines.

I will stick to my regular salon, which understands customer service and how to do a manicure. As a Kensington & Chelsea resident, I find it laughable that the owner of Annabel's thought they could set up a new salon with such poor service and make a success of it. I give this place 12 months max, before it either shuts down or new management takes over. The prices are obscene, twice as much as my regular haunt, but in return for what? Some people should really think twice before going into business, especially in this area where residents expect nothing short of the best. I have had better manicures in Peckham.

The Wahanda shellac deal is not for CND shellac. It is for "Daisy" shellac (a cheap alternative). To get CND shellac I had to pay £5 extra (cash only) on top of the £20 shellac manicure I had booked. Overall the manicure was good, good cuticle work and nice nails but the atmosphere was dead and the selection of real CND shellac colours (which I had to specifically ask for) was limited. Probably wouldn't go again. Overall (price, quality, atmosphere, choice), I have definitely had better elsewhere.

Staff were very rude and ignored me and spoke to each other in Vietnamese the whole time. The guy doing my nails was playing games on his phone while my nails were being soaked. The manicure was absolutely terrible and I wanted to cry afterwards.

I have just had such a bad experience at this salon I feel like I want to cry. I bought a voucher for gel nails. When I arrived they just looked me up and down without smiling and said "voucher?". They spoke to each other in Vietnamese the whole time. The gel nail manicure was terrible, they used a cheap brand called Daisy which was thick and horrible. When I said I didn't like it they refused to do anything but I pleaded with them to take it off, if it was normal nail polish I could have taken it off with nail varnish remover but as it was gel nails I could not take it off myself. They gave me a bowl of acetone to soak it off and I was just left with rough, dry nails. I asked them if they would do anything for me and they just looked at me and said no so I left and went to my local nail salon for gel nails so I ended up paying twice. Please avoid this salon.

there was not a proper manicure as you might expect. just filing and shellac polish (which i actually wanted, but for people wanting a proper manicure i would not recommend).
All together was a great deal as was very cheap so i will go back for the same price.

Lovely little salon tucked away behind Harrods.

My gel manicure was done very quickly (only 20 minutes), but amazing results.

Would recommend.
