I've wanted to try this salon for a while now as it's right around the corner from my house. I booked a Swedish massage and arrived on time. I was greeted politely by two young ladies and didn't wait long to be seen.
The therapist was very attentive and I had a good massage. It was a relaxing one, rather than a pressure massage, which is absolutely fine by me.
I will definitely go back. Thank you.

While the end result of my hair colour treatment is mostly fine, I did not enjoy my time here at all and probably won't come back. When I go to the salon, I want to feel a bit pampered and well taken care of. Instead I felt awkward and uncomfortable.

I walked in and the greeting I received was cold and awkward. The woman never asked my name or told me hers. I just sat in the chair and explained that I was hoping to cover up my grays with my natural hair colour.

As she was applying the dye, a man walked into the salon, sat in one of the chairs, and just sat, not speaking, the entire time. She would occasionally look at him, smirk, and then look back to my hair. Maybe he was the owner or the woman's boyfriend? Either way, it was just odd and uncomfortable.

After she applied the dye, she wrapped my hair in a plastic cap and then again in a towel. I've been having my hair coloured since I was 16 years old and this has never happened. The bag and the towel kept moving and smudging the dye on my forehead.

Before she dried my hair, she used the most foul smelling solution to remove the spots from my skin that the plastic made. I realize some chemicals don't smell pleasant, but this stuff was disgusting and I can't seem to get rid of the smell no matter what I wash with.

She rinsed the colour out and dried my hair. I don't know if she was rushing because another client walked in, but it didn't feel like a very professional blowout. Typically they clip your hair and dry section by section. She sort of moved haphazardly around my head, hair blowing all over the place, parted oddly, unfinished looking.

Finally, I don't know if it was the product she put in my hair or the product they use for colour, but my hair looks pretty dull. Most of the time when I have my hair coloured it looks silky and smooth. This time it looks dull and matte.

I've been to much posher places that charge about 10-15 less for a full head so the value to me, considering the level of service, was not good at all. The only thing done well, in my opinion, was the colour was the colour I was hoping for (which was a relief).

At first, the treatment seemed to go very smoothly and the therapist seemed skilled, but then half way through she started getting the wax stuck quite a lot, which was rather painful.
That said, I would probably still visit them again - great place if you're on a budget.

I felt at ease from the beginning. What is obviously not an entirely painless experience was made to be very comfortable and I was very pleased with the results. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, I'll definitely go back.

I was looking for a salon close to my home and came across this one on Wahanda. The price was relatively cheap for the service (Brazilian wax) in comparison with other salons. Staff was very professional, kind and thorough, did a good job.

At first I was very glad and thought I will definitely go back to this salon, but then next day some burn marks appeared, so I would say the wax was little bit too hot. But as for the general the girl who did the procedure was great, very accurate and fast.

Was ok but would not go back. One of the staff members was really friendly however the one who did my hair was not, she also clearly was confused about how I wanted my hair so instead of just asking decided to cut off 4 inches that I did not ask for. So now my hair is going to be up for about a month at least until it starts to grow. The blow-dry was ok but old fashioned, instead of being blown away from my face the ends were styled towards it which is unflattering and not fashionable anymore so I had to go home and shower and redo my hair before I went out, which defeats the point of going to a hairdresser really.

I was bought a voucher for full head highlights and cut through Wahanda as a present. The salon said it was open in the evenings which suits me for after work.
Firstly, they made booking an appointment really difficult (the first sign!!) they said the salon was only open till 7p.m (when their site advertises to 9p.m) after much negotiation on the time I could come in, they said they would call back and didn't. It took me phoning them 3 times to finally persuade them to let me have an appointment, which meant me leaving work earlier than usual.

When I arrived instead of a 'hello' I received a bit of a grimace and a shrug. My hairdresser, who did not disclose her name, was clearly disgruntled at the appointment.
She looked at my hair briefly then disappeared downstairs. When she returned she had mixed up a mystery colour...
Normally I have 3 colours run through my hair that come out a light blonde that could pass as natural. This was not the case at Angel Faces! I asked that she put through more than one colour, a request that received more shrugging and another disappearance downstairs. She did get the colour book for me to look at when I asked and she did mix up a second colour. But I know nothing about colour!? How could I decide? She had no opinions on the matter, even with much questioning, so I hesitantly selected a blonde I thought would work...
At this point I was offered tea/coffee.
The colour. THE COLOUR!
It is chunky, garish, I can only describe it as a blond-ey sort of ginger at the roots, giving way to the lighter blonde of my previous colour below the first 2/3 inches.
Having revealed this colour (after blow-drying), she was dissatisfied (and so was I....silently), so she put more foils in my hair! I'm not sure if these made a difference or not but I was quite panicked by this second-foiling.
The great reveal was still bad - and there is a strange horizontal stripe at the back where colour seems to have been missed out entirely. I must say though, after a couple hours in the chair my hairdresser did seem to warm up a little and her attitude wasn't so alienating...

With regards to the cut, I just asked for a trim but she took off about 3 inches! It's a good cut apart from slightly lop-sided, the left being longer than the right...

All-in-all, I won't be returning. And I doubt I will use wahanda again, even if it is a present.
