When I walked into Andrew Collinge everyone seemed very busy and I was worried I would not be able to get a last minute appointment. I needed a colour correction and the reception was very helpful and placed me with a young lady named Sophie. She listened to how I wanted my colour and cut and was very reassuring that she could make this happen and she defiantly kept her word. I could not be more pleased with how my hair looks and feels. The environment was very professional and yet I felt comfortable, relaxed and pampered. All the girls were very polite, every time I had finished my drink I was offered a refill, all the staff there were helpful and polite. Sophie has just been promoted and I can see why, she is very talented. This will now be my regular salon. Thanks

Very disappointed with the experience I had at Andrew Collinge at Selfridges, Trafford Centre. My appointment was for today (16/02/2015) at 2pm for a cut and finish with Sophie. The receptionist was polite and welcoming. Had a consultation with Sophie, It felt very awkward as though she couldn't be bothered, I specified the amount to cut and the style as blow dry straight. A junior did the wash and condition then waited for a few minutes for Sophie to start. I wasn't offered a drink (the person next to me was offered one twice). The cut was started and wasn't asked if the amount she was cutting was okay or not, but then did ask when she was doing the side. She did try a bit of small talk, attitude was very stroppy, can't be bothered (did notice a few face scrunching when there were knots in my hair). She asked if I wanted poker straight or curled under, even after requesting poker straight there was a kink halfway and the top had volume (bouffanty) and I asked if it can be flattened and was told that's how my hair is but reluctantly made a minute effort to correct it but didn't make any difference, never had this issue before. Didn't show the finished hair with mirror, didn't do any minor adjustments, felt like she wanted me out of there (her next client was there). The haircut is okay, relieved with the amount she cut, the styling was poor, didn't feel relaxed, pampered. From start to finish it was 40 minutes. The cost was £49.50 not a bad price to pay but definitely not worth the money with Sophie (she's since promoted to a senior stylist and will charge £61.50). The salon wasn't busy. I have previously been to the Manchester Andrew Collinge numerous times with excellent results and service I expected the same at this one but how wrong I was. Definitely won't be going back there even with a different stylist.

Terrible - the worst salon that i have ever experienced. Staff were rude and discussing previous customers negatively in front of new clients.

Customer service was awful - beware if your hair does not go how you want it to!

Prices are not an accurate reflection of what you receive.

Overall, the Andrew Collinge group is not even worth 1 star.

I never go anywhere else for my haircut for one simple reason, the staff are trained to an excellent standard and do an outstanding job. I've searched for years for a good haircut. I have curly hair and suffered some disasters. I have had my hair cut by several stylists, all good, some really outstanding. It's the cut that matters the rest is flimflam. I'll never go anywhere else.

Unfortunately the rating does not give you the option of below "poor" so I cannot give the correct rating that is applicable in this case. I called in for an appointment whilst in Trafford and was told a stylist called Rebecca could do my hair. I already had my hair in the style I wanted but it was outgrowing and needed trimming back into the shape. I took a photo from my bag to show her how it should be trimmed to.

When I got out of the salon and drove immediately home I checked out the haircut and could not believe how short she had cut it, EVERYWHERE. It is not even l inch long on the top of my head in parts and the parts and front length have been completely demolished. My daughter was horrified when she saw it saying "What have you had done, where is your hair, that's terrible". And all week I have had the same comments of "Where is your hair, it was lovely before". Other friends do not say anything until I mention it and then say "Well, we were surprised and thought What has she done as we have never seen you with hair cut so short before". I cannot believe that professional people cannot comprehend when you tell them what you want and even show a photograph get it so wrong. Needless to say i will not be going there again. Seriously, I am now looking for a wig shop in Manchester to cover this up until it grows which is going to take a long time. Be wary if you venture into this salon and especially have this stylist.

Why do receptionists look down there nose at you or even worse when making an appointment with them over the phone speak to you as though your 4 and contradict you if you call the a 'Stylist Dircector' a Senior stylist!!!!!!!!.....Heaven for bid if she know's the diiference!
The salon is clean and tidy, what really p***ed me off on my last vist was the fact I couldn't get my highlights & my cut & blow done at the same time so i booked 2 appointments the 1st being my highlights & the fact I was charged for a blow dry?......why was it not included in the price, especially when its costing well over £50 and then back again for my 2nd visit another £60+!
