Very disappointed. They charged £20 for a terrible quality manicure. The polish was grotty and almost finished, making the layers look crinkly, and peeled off within the hour. The manicure table was dirty, with remaining items and towels used by the previous client, as well as coffee stains all over the table. The staff were friendly and the place has potential, but for the quality of polish, nail expertise and venue, it's a rip off. As soon as I got home, I removed the chipped nail polish and within minutes I'd done a better job myself.
Really friendly staff. Enjoyable experience.
Fantastic staff and service
Fantastic relaxing experience with excellent staff
My visit to the salon was impromptu: I had a bit of time to kill and thought I could do with a shellac manicure. The nail technician was friendly, was happy to see me without a prior appointment and the price was reasonable, so I went for it. I was a little surprised that no work at all was done on my cuticles but foolishly I didn't question it. Well, the manicure painted over the cuticles started chipping away at the bottom of my nails within a few days - not at all the result one expects from Shellac. To make matters worse I was away on a business trip when this happened and had no opportunity to get it sorted for another week, by which time my nails were an absolute mess. I did not risk going back to Amoura and went to another salon on a personal recommendation. It took almost an hour to clean away the remainder of the product from my nails because as it turned out it wasn't genuine Shellac but a substitute of sorts. So all in all a pretty poor experience and poor value for money. I will not be returning to Amoura, that's for sure.
