Absolutely appalling. DO NOT VISIT. I have gone there few times for an IPL treatments, it's impossible to call them and re-arrange the booking as no one ever picks up the phone and they disabled their voicemail. Overall, it took me almost over 2 years to get 5 treatments - which is not even recommended amount for IPL. Then they went out of touch completely and when I got back in touch with them by going there personally on my day off, they informed me that they have stopped doing IPLs even though I still had some sessions left on my voucher. Very unprofessional and I have lost my money because of them.

Great place! I totally recommend everyone to go there! Friendly staff, good service, acceptable prices ( in the end it is Knightsbridge ) . From my point of view is a total satisfaction. I was reading the other reviews and i'm surprised. My appoiment was respected, the girls were really, really friendly, my hair looks great every time and the laser sessions are more than ok. So feel free to go there!

Total waste of money and time. For the first time in my life I've had a 10-minutes haircut. I paid 55£ for a quick job. Cheap products, basic tools - would have expected a lot more from such tarrifs. Staff was un-professional, place looks like from the 90's. Shameful and wondering how their business is still running with such services.

Stay away from this place!!
I bought an IPL hair removal voucher on LivingSocial website. This was my first time to do IPL hair removal and I decided to treat the bikini line and upper lip. I was 'taken care of' by a Romanian therapist, who looked rather confused throughout. She asked me 3 times which area I will be treating…forgot to clean the make up off my face...She then used the same spatula for applying gel to my bikini line (I asked for a Hollywood!!) and my upper lip. She also didn't use anything to disinfect the laser after using it on me!
After completing the treatment, she asked if I had been exposed to the sun over the last month as that might result in pigmentation... she forgot to ask me before?!!! And then I realised she never did the patch test!!
They had no aloe vera gel to treat me with, so asked me to buy some instead. The whole process took less than 15 mins and I dreaded every second. Needless to say - never ever going there again... and will make sure that no one I knows does.

I had a waxing voucher and was very pleased with all aspects including receptionists, flexibility of booking an appointment as open til 8pm, friendliness of staff, cleanliness of salon and thoroughness of my morrocan therapist salma i think her name was…would recommend to anyone in the area they have a lot of deals on kgb, but unfortunately I would not be able to afford it here at full price :(

I went to this salon as part of a KGB Deal. Upon arrival I had to wait for a while to be greeted. Once seated the hairdresser told me if I wanted 2 different colour foils ill have to pay £20 extra. I had a voucher that stated 'Half head of foils plus a cut and blowdry' I questioned her on this, and told her that it doesn't state this anywhere on the voucher. She told me,' it may not say its on there, but that's the way it is'. I pulled out my voucher and said it doesn't say anything about that on the voucher, and that you can't just add on terms and conditions that arnt already on the voucher. She just shrugged her shoulders. I refused to pay more, so just got the one shade of foils . She didn't have any sort of friendly chatter with me and spoke to her college in another language, which I found rude. She gave me a pile of magazines to read only once she'd finished doing my foils. All the magazines were out of date. She only left my foils in for about 20mins, before ruching to take them out. When she was washing my hair, she got water all down my top and back. She's didn't apologise, but just gave me a new gown. Then when she blow dried my hair she just took it upon herself to do massive curls. I walked out of the salon with embarrassingly huge boofy hair. It was like Farrah facet from the 70s. I looked terrible. I had to try and flatten it out as soon as I left. I noticed when I got home, that the foils on my hairline near my ear show a distinct straight line. Not blended in evenly at all. I've had many similar offers with groupon hair deals, and always had a positive experience. But this salon, and in particular this hairdresser was terrible!! I can't remember her name, but she was a short, slim brunette, possibly french. Don't go there! One last thing. I felt that the salon hadn't quite an outdated early 90s feel. Needs updating

WOW, what superb service i recieved, i was greeted as soon as i came in which put me in ease as it was my first time at the salon. i was asked to eat a seat and got offered tea/ coffee. my therapist anzelika was chatty, friendly and totally understanded what look i was after. i was given aftercare advice how to keep my colour looking vibrant, and hair looking great! i was so impressed that i have already booked my following appointment 4 weeks away to get the highlights re- touched! 5 *****, this will now be my regular salon, and even considering to get laser treatment done there!!

Lovely location and lovely salon. My only criticism would be that I had to choose my own colour, even though I showed the stylist a picture of the effect I wanted. Luckily it all worked out fine though and I was happy with the end result.

I had a luxury manicure, luxuery pedicure and some waxing, it was all very good but I wouldn't have wanted to pay the full price.
The room which was at the back of the hairdressers also had 1 sink for hair which was used by a staff member to wash her hair while I was having my treatments.

Had a great time here, great location easy to get to. Staff were very friendly. Had a facial and massage enjoyed both, would definitely recommend and hope to be able to go again soon.

This email is in relation to the voucher for AM Beauty Saloon for IPL via LivingSocial

I previously Living Social about not being able to get through to the saloon to book my first appointment. After much trying, and no response to my email, livisng social advised me they had a phone line issue. I finally managed to get through to the saloon via phone and the person on the phone told me he couldn't help and that I should call back in an hour. I did and eventually booked a patch test for Sat 3:50pm.
However, their customer service and scheduling of appointments is a complete disaster and I am not happy with the level of service I received

I got there 20 mins early, I was asked to come back to the saloon in 20 mins. (They could have offered me a seat!). When I did return, I was asked to wait. 10 mins later the receptionist decides to go and check if I can be sent downstairs. She comes back in 5 mins and takes me downstairs, I am then asked to wait..another 20 mins later, a young girl comes to get me, I advise her I am not happy about the wait. She asks me if I would like to continue with the test???. I am then taken into a treatment room only to be advised that there is a wait for another 10-15 mins before my turn and that the room next door is where the patch test will take place.

50 mins later, the 5 min patch test was completed and I left feeling very upset and not confident that I would want to return.

Needless to say, this young lady and myself had enough time for me to tell her I was upset and not happy with the service considering if I was late, I would have had to miss my appointment. She seemed rather helpless and not able to do much about the situation. I also found out that she has been working there for less than three months and has two weeks training on IPL. Again not something that fills me with confidence considering its my face and body!

The place seems unsupervised, small/cramped and un-profressional. I would not advise anyone to go there for laser treatment or otherwise. There is no manager either that one could think of having a sensible discussion with.

Living Social need to vet companies they bring on board.

***first of all the place is very filthy...i was there with my sister whaiting for her laser app...a didn't saw any hairdressers cleaning their tools(specialy brushes), they speek to loud and when they finish to put the color or hightlight, they leave from the salon.....probably outside to smoke because they smell like a "shisha bar" and second of all.... Why i did not see any manager in that day?...because that lady from the till(probably receptionist) barely handel with those problemes, delays and phonecalls....... i barely wait to finish the trataments!!!!that was a small part of what i saw...i don't want to say what my sister saw in that room...FILTHY!!....they aren't profesionals personals...............

I would give this place no stars if i could.
There was a deal on KGB deals saying brazilian blow dry, £59 quid. Bargain - got the voucher on 1 Dec, and made appt the same day for 17 Dec (I work 6 days a week, and Saturday is my only day off).
The lady said fine, booked me in – all good. Two days before my appt, she calls and says there is not enough people working and can I reschedule – to the 24th.
Bit of an inconvenience– but fine.
Turn up on the 24th – Christmas Eve – no one greets you as you walk in the door. Waited for 10 minutes until someone bothers to address me.
Tell them I have an appt – he checks the book and tells me there is no record of it! He then asks me to reschedule – keeping in mind I get ONE DAY off a week – and now TWICE I have had to, what feels like, waste a day on these people.
Contacted KGB deals and they were nice enough to refund me the money. Would not recommend this unprofessional place to my worst enemy. A complete shambles! Glad I didn’t try my hair at this place – imagine how terrible it would turn out if they can’t even take care of paper bookings!

I had visited AM Beauty earlier this week after purchasing a voucher for IPL treatment. I arrived at my exact appointment time and was rudely told by the receptionist to take a seat (she did not smile nor make proper eye contact). Only 15 minutes later did I find out from another customer in the waiting area that they were "delayed" due to another customer being 30 mins late. I ended up waiting a total of 50 minutes for my treatment. During this time, the receptionists (there were 3 in all) spent their time talking loudly to each other and one even walked around eating from a can of pringles.

Finally it came to my turn. It ended up not being the IPL treatment I had signed up for, but a patch test which cost an additional £20. They had informed me about this additional patch test when I had booked my appointment, and I expected it to be a full patch test similar to the ones I've had at other IPL saloons, i,e. they do a quick IPL treatment on the full area (usually each IPL session has 6 cycles done, and during a patch test only 1 cycle is done). However, to my shock all that was done was one simple zap on my skin and I was told to leave the room.

On top of that, the treatment room was dirty, with greyish looking towels strewn all over. On the floor lay a half used bag of IPL gel. When I entered, I was not told to lie down on the bed or get undressed while the lady left the room, but to simply "pull down your trousers so I can do you patch test".

All in all, it was in my view a terrible experience and a waste of money.

Therapist Oliya buffed my skin thoroughly and applied essential oils and a firm pressure massage. The Sisley sensitive products worked a treat on my skin. Would certainly recommend this salon.

My first impression was that I was expecting a more upmarket ambience given the location of this salon. However the staff seemed friendly and genuine so I persevered. The blow-dry was not quite what I had hoped for. My hair was left quite tangled up and a therapist yanked my hair with cheap straighteners. Overall not bad in an emergency but that's about it.

I was disappointed. They cancelled my booking 30 mins prior to my booking time, as they didn't have enough staff, which wasn't much of help. I rescheduled my appointment a week later, turned up on time, then was kept waiting for over 20 mins with no explanation. The treatment itself wasn't worth the wait, it was rather short (40mins) and I didn't feel the therapist, although was nice, had enough experience.

This was a slightly bizarre experience. The beauty salon is in a hairdressers in Knightsbridge and is rather small with no waiting area. I was kept waiting for half an hour and had to sit in one of the hair cutting chairs while I waited. My therapist hardly spoke to me, other than to say sorry for keeping me waiting. She didn't explain anything about the treatment or talk to me about my skin. However, the facial was very relaxing and I think I even dosed off during treatment. All in all, this was ok for a discounted treatment but definitely isn't worth the £100 normal charge.
