I started going to Kinga by accident and now I'm there every week. She does the best waxing I've ever had and now as well as a bikini wax, I have lip and under arms done too. Its as painless as a wax can be and she takes care to make sure ever area is completely clear.

I've also had a number of face treatments, something I've never done before and even though I don't go down the voucher route, I find her prices very easy on the pocket. I've even said to her that because her prices are so fair I actually spend more with her than I have with any other beauty salon in the past. She takes time to advise you on the best face treatments and I look forward to starting the body treatments soon. My skin looks great and feels great all Thanks to her work and recommendations.

Kinga will always look after you and I find her to be friendly, funny and very professional at all times.

I purchased the £15 Brazilian wax voucher. I picked this as it didn't specify on the voucher that it was strip wax like other venues. When I arrived, I was told that they were running 15-20 minutes behind, even though they had just opened. This turned into 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, no apology or offer of a drink, he told me to go downstairs. The technician also didn't apologise for running so late, and simply said her name and confirmed I had a voucher.
I couldn't see the hot wax ready so I asked her, and she replied, bluntly, 'no hot wax, you pay for strip only'. I explained to her that the fine print on my voucher just said 'Brazilian wax', and not strip nor hot wax and she simply shrugged and said, 'you pay for strip only'.
I asked if, considering I had waited 40 minutes could she do hot wax, and she said of course but I must pay. She then went and sat at her seat and ignored me.
I started to undress as it was clear she wasn't leaving to give me any privacy and mentioned to her that I was a bit unimpressed with the service and didn't feel that comfortable.
She then stood up, said "go back upstairs then" and opened the door whilst I was still undressed.
I was appalled at her attitude and asked if she was being serious! She told people with vouchers are the worst. I left on that note as I was not trusting her to then put wax one!
I was too upset to speak to the man at the counter so I left and called them after 10 minutes. I explained what happened and he told me that I had booked in for a strip wax. I had already again checked my voucher and it didn't say anywhere about a strip wax, and told him this. He said its on their website, and offered no apology.
Given that a few other reviews have also mentioned having to pay extra, they should either mention in on the voucher or when you book. There was nothing on the fine print of my voucher which said this.
The treatment given to me by the technician was also the worst I have EVER received.
I don't ever give reviews but this was well deserved. An awful experience.

There are offers that are too good to be true.

Aesthetic Workshop runs a deceitful practice, advertising a treatment for an exclusive offer of £15, but when I turned up was told that this was for cold wax. Obviously, no person is going to accept a cold wax for an intimate and sensitive area. Knowing this, I was coerced into taking the "£5 upgrade for hot wax". I had no choice.

Although my therapist M was sweet and tried really hard to get it right, I was left in pain. I told her the wax was too hot, and it stayed that way. Waxed areas were tortured by having burning wax repeatedly spread over it again so she could "fix it". At times she would tear the wax of my very delicate areas, stop...because I could not hold back a small cry of pain, and then finish tearing...literally TORE the wax of my skin. I have had waxes before and am not squimish, I do not make a sound unless it is that badly carried out. She didn't even hold my skin taut, basic waxing rule taught in home-waxing kits!

After my wax, I was told to take cash out because they do not take card and hoaxed into paying an extra £10 cash. I was given a pathetic excuse about not combining offers and how the treatment I received was worth £40. There is nothing on Wahanda or on their own website which has a Brazilian waxing treatment work £40. Furthermore, he had told me £5 earlier, as their website also says (I later found out), and suddenly inflated the costs after I had received it.

If your treatments are worth £25 or £40, say so. But it was not mentioned anywhere when I booked it. Only after I had paid for a non-refundable purchase through Wahanda and arrive there, I am put into a situation where I had no choice but to pay extra cash for a wax that was not worth it.

Aesthetic Workshop very much lacks any professional or ethical conduct, and whilst £25 is not much for an intimate wax, principally, I could have made a fairer choice amongst their competitors, had I know their true price and not their fake offer

I have received 9 treatments in total and am very happy with my results.
My therapist was informative, professional and polite, after a few sessions we became very friendly and we chatted which helped me to relax greatly. She gave me advice and recommendations on further treatments. The ambiance was relaxing.
The salon offers an ongoing special price for the treatment I received and I intend to go back for repeat treatments.
Thank you Kinga for your excellent service.

The staff are welcoming and friendly and the facilities are adequate. The therapist, Kinga, was excellent, she asked and listened to the areas that I perceived would require maximum therapy and she took time to consentrate on these areas. I thoroughly enjoyed the treatment, it was very relazxing and the value was excellent as it includes three sessions. I would also highly recommend Kinga.

I bought 3 microdermabrasion and chemical peel vaucher.
Attended twice only and applied for refund on my third.

First appointment was so-so.
When you arrive to beautitian, you expect therapist advise about your skin and the best product to use and agree for treatment plan. It didn't happen.
I started asking questions myself, as I knew there were 3 different chemical peels available, and I wanted to know which she will use on me and why, so I kind of, aware of the treatment and what she is doing.
After she looked into my skin through magnifying lamp, she didn't tell any comments about my skin type and treatment plan.
I asked - what is my skin type, as I wanted to know professional opinion,
she said that NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY SKIN.
I didn't ask if it was something wrong with my skin, I asked what is my skin type?

When she finished with chemical peel, I asked which chemical peel she did on me?
She didn't answer my question, answering that it was chemical peel, I started explaining that on the website they had a choice of 3 different types of chemical peels, and I want to know which she used on me, she saud THAT SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT DO I MEAN!

I don't know what was a problem in my question, but I think I formulated it understandable, after few more attempts I managed to get the answer and explanation.

My opinion - she should sxplain it to me herself, and before she started the treatment, to get my agreement about her choice.

My second treatment was total disaster.
I thought it will be the same therapist, but it was different girl.
I asked if she is aware about chemical peel which I agreed to do with previous therapist.
She said yes.
I asked, which one?
She didn;t answer and said that first, she will have to look on my skin.
After looking through magnifying lamp, she started the treatment.
She didn't tell me anything about my skin, about the best chemical peel for my skin and about the type of chemical peel she was going to use on my skin.
She just started without any explanations.

I started asking again, which chemical peel is she using on me, then she replied.
I felt quit difficult to get any explanation from her.

Not professional at all.

Then she was asking me plenty of personal questions like where I am from and what I am doing for life, where do I live.
Too curious, but I replied friendly.
She continued asking what courses do I study and so on.
I again answered.

At the end of the treatment I saw on her laptom opened booking calendar, and asked which calendar she uses for bookings.

You wont believe what I heard back.
It was unexpectable.

-SHE SAID THAT I PUT MY NOSE TOO MUCH, THAT I ASK WRONG QUESTIONS, AND THAT THIS IS NOT INCLUDED INTO MY TREATMENT.

I replied - hey you don't have to be rude, if you don't want to reply, just tell it politely.
Why would you become so rude to me.

SHE CONTINUED THAT I HAVE A PROBLEM, THAT I CAME AND I LOOK EVERYWHERE, OBSERVING EVERYTHING AND I AM TOO CURIOUS, I AM ASKING WRONG QUESTIONS AND I HAVE A PROBLEM.

I could tell her the same when she was asking me all the personal questions - where I am from and what do i do for living and where do I study and so on. It was non of her business, but I was polite.
She could be polite too, and refuse to answer my question politely, but not attaking me.

Absolutely unprofessional herapist. Not sure what was her name, but she is polish.

I left salon with negative emotions and felt terrible all day.

Less than anything I expected to be treated like that just for inocent question.

if you work with people you must control your emotions what ever your mood is, don't put it on other people. Be more polite and smile!

Hope this review will be published and people know where they are going!

I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS SALON.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I have been meaning to right this review for a while, went over a year ago for skin peel, was very impressed. Although I do not live in this area, would come to see my parents as well.
I felt a rapport with the therapist, she is a genuinely really lovely helpful person. Bought a voucher after Christmas for skin peels again, had not looked after my skin, anyway Kinga has has spent time to revive and pamper my skin. I come away from the salon feeling like a new woman, there is no hard sell if you do not want a product, her straight forward advice about my skin is very good. Thank you will be back.

No complaints about the therapist or the waxing. Really friendly, full of advice and a great wax to top it off. Only bad point was when i arrived i was told that the waxing that i had purchased off wahanda was just for a strip wax so I had to pay an extra £5 for a hot wax- don't know why i couldn't have been told this when i rang to confirm but oh well least i know in future...

Oh my GOD! You will not believe how good they are! All the staff, the facilities, the experience, unbelievable! I must say, I am quite fussy when it comes to my beauty treatments, but no matter what I have wanted I have been 100% satisfied. I have been coming for past year and I have not been let down once. Both Maria and Kinga are highly qualified and have HUGE amount of knowledge on what they are doing.

Highly Recommended.

I originally heard about this place after I brought a deal from a well known deal website. I have purchased lots of deals from various other people so was interested to see how they would be different. I must say I was very surprised (in a good way) about the excellent service I received. My original deal was purchased over a year ago and now I am a regular customer. I do not live in Balham and I am so happy with the service I get I am willing to travel out of my way to get there!. I had bad acne scared skin and didn’t like to leave my house without makeup. You really get the feeling that Kinga knows exactly what she is talking about and I feel that she actually cares about my skin and it’s progress which has improved considerably! I go on average once a month to have a chemical peel and Microdermabrasion and I always feel great after I leave! I do not bother to purchase deals from other deal websites anymore. Kinga and team are highly professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others (in fact I brought my mother a two hour pampering session for Mothers Day!)

Keep up the good work and see you in two weeks !
