Salt Grotto Therapy at Adalex Clinic

Relax in a beautiful setting, de-stress and forget your daily problems. Pass your time most pleasurably, unwinding to a soothing soundtrack of gentle relaxing music, in the company of your children, friends or acquaintances. As well as being the most luxurious, it is also the first and only grotto in London with an evaporation tower. Breathing in the delicate Zablocka salt brine mist, full of microelements, is hugely beneficial for your general health. We opened our Salt Grotto as we felt the great need for this kind of facility for the many sufferers of asthma and other respiratory ailments out there. The range of problems that can be treated with Halotherapy includes hay fever and other allergies as well as many other respiratory and stress related conditions. If you suffer from any of these ailments, in London especially due to high levels of pollution in the air, we believe the Salt Grotto will prove invaluable to you. We are confident that we can provide successful, drug-free treatment not only for adults, but also for children.

As my mother suffers from bronchiecstasis, I booked a session here for us both to attend. My request for an appointment on a particular date and time was booked efficiently by email by a member of staff in a very prompt manner - (my suggestion on here to the other reviewer is to email the clinic for an appointment!) After form filling to confirm any health reasons for attending, we were led into the room where we were laid on loungers and covered by cosy blankets. The hour in the room flew by and my mother commented that she had begun to feel her breathing begin to ease within half an hour of being in the room. We were both so impressed that further sessions have been booked as e-vouchers through Wahanda for her to enjoy in her own time. The staff on the day of our visit were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I totally agree. I learned it is a family run business which I like. I also e-mailed and an appointment was given promptly. I am an asthma sufferer and have had 5 sessions so far and not used my inhalers in weeks. I'm considering the year sessions as its about 50% off. Who's with me?. Highly recommend

this place is ok but the whole experience is spoilt.
Because to visit you first you have to make an appointment.
But you can't do that as nobody ever answers the phone .
There is no answerphone or message taking facility , you wait for days for replies when sending messages by their contact service .
Simply not good value. very disappointed

I can agree, having been bought 2 vouchers as gifts for me and my girl, we have visited 5 times, on 3 occasions we arrived after using public transport with a child with health problems to find the place closed, there has been no response to notes left on those occasions, no response to emails and NO APOLOGY .Since last year we have 5 visits left pending , I am very unhappy and will send one more letter before I complain to trading standards. I'm very unhappy .

I visit here with my daughter who has asthma, allergies and ENT problems,
The clinic is operated by a buzzer and the lady opens the door. A very nice professional lady.
There is a short form to complete , blue covers for your shoes and while you wait to go in, their is a fruit bowl and magazines and fresh clean toilet facilities. Inside there is relaxing music and reclining chairs with blankets to cover you so you can snooze. The lady settles you in and pushes the chair back and leaves quietly. In the back corner is a salt pit with a few toys so children can play during the session. The room is covered in pink rock salt crystals,a salt foor, has a trickling fountain and a starlight ceiling. It is definitely seems more approachable than the salt cave is south london which I have also visited. at the end of the session the lady comes in and helps you get out . It is a very subdued, calming atmosphere.
I'd suggest a few magazines inside the salt room itself in case you can't relax and want to pass the times.
I know there is a lot of ums and ahs about halotherapy in the UK with mainstream medicine, probably also due to the loss of income if people chose natural holistic healthcare. However this is a very widely known treatment in Eastern Europe with Salt Cave hospitals offering treatment that benefits patients with scientific research and data available to read online. My view is that not all medical treatments need to involve drugs that cause side effects and lose efficacy through prolonged use. London is highly urbanised and heavily polluted, I feel this benefits me and my daughter who very slowly is showing signs of improvement. Nobody magically gets better overnight with chronic conditions and as with all treatments you need commitment.
I have not used my asthma medication since visiting Adalex clinic and following the Buteyko method. Therefore I am quite pleased and hope my daughter will also improve using this and NHS healthcare.

The venue is new - the reception area stylish and modern, the receptionist cheerful & helpful. The salt grotto is a room lined with crystals with 6 reclining chairs on salt granules on the floor, flowing water in the corner, subdued lighting and soothing music piped in. The air is pure and fresh, quite cool and the overall effect is calming, relaxing and clears the mind. An hour certainly helped my friend and I breathe and feel better. Parking immediately outside is limited. I would try the treatment again and over time.
