Hand Picked Hotels is a privately owned and managed hotel group created with the aim of being at the forefront of a renaissance in fine British hospitality.
We feel a responsibility to the cultural heritage of the fine country houses that make up our collection. At Hand Picked Hotels we seek to create an atmosphere in which guests are encouraged to feel at home. The buildings are all large architecturally stunning properties but no one will ever find themselves tiptoeing around the corridors intimidated by the imposing grandeur of the building. We encourage guests to kick off their shoes and enjoy themselves.
The superb settings, in Britain’s most beautiful countryside, the elegant accommodation hung with fine paintings and furnished with exquisite antiques, and the attentive but discreet service are all designed to stimulate enjoyment not stifle it.
At Hand Picked Hotels, you have our permission to be outrageously self-indulgent.
We have brought these fine country houses into the 21st Century by creating our own unique "modern regency" style whereby classical architectural features such as paintings, fireplaces and antique furniture are blended seemingly effortlessly with modern comforts, fabrics and technology. We now offer guests a completely new kind of hospitality.
Although these fine country retreats have their own individual identities, they do share a common characteristic. They were all built for pleasure and we intend to ensure that they deliver the maximum pleasure to our guests.
Welcome to Hand Picked Hotels - welcome to a renaissance in fine British hospitality
My boyfriend and I went to the Nuffeild for a little treat for his birthday. I saw a deal on wahanda for a nights stay for £99 for the both of us and as we didn't want to travel far we thourght this would be a nice get away. At the time of booking I didn't realise that the £99 was not including a spa treatment but was only a nights stay. I had to contact the hotel many times as I wanted to make it as special as possible. The deal was only for a Sunday evening and we could only check in at 3pm and the spa closed at 5pm and the next day check out was at 11am. The time span didn't leave much time to have many treatments. Once I arrived at the hotel I wasn't sure what to expect. Once we pulled up I was in ore! The hotel is absolutely beautiful! It's old vs new! The views where spectacular! We had a spa treatment and we really enjoyed it although we wished we had taken a longer one. The staff where so helpful and really lovely! Down to earth and professional. When we left the next day we where quite sad to leave as we really felt refreshed and replenished! We will definately be returning again soon!
