Wahanda loves: hours of pampering with extra-indulgent treatments

No matter what treatment or spa you go for, there's one factor that will guarantee that it's a luxurious experience: time. Popping into your local salon for a quick manicure is great for a pick-me-up, but if you really, truly need to relax those shoulders, rest your mind and be escorted to your happy place by a professional then you need a treatment that's at least an hour long. In fact, why not two?

In the interests of making sure you come away from your pampering feeling like a brand new you, we've picked our top five most indulgent spa experiences. From long-lasting massages to multi-treat packages, there's something for every stressed-out spa seeker…

Thai Square Spa, Covent Garden

One of our brand new partners, Thai Square Spa (pictured) brings a taste of the exotic to London. Their Reviver Package gives you a 2.5 hour window of pure bliss, including a floral foot bath, body mask and wrap, full body massage to ease tension and oriental sole therapy. Your experience is capped off by a delicious cup of Thai herbal tea so you can feel a world away from city life. Even better? You get to save 50% off, making it just £104.

Six Senses Spa at Pan Peninsula, Canary Wharf

Six Senses are the epitome of spa - their locations across the globe are little gems of paradise and thankfully they bring the same expert knowledge to their London location. If you have two hours to spare, we highly recommend you pop over with a friend for their Holistic Massage and Thermal Journey for Two; the perfect way to kick back and relax in the city. For just £95, you'll both enjoy their extensive Thermal Suite which includes an experience shower, Finnish sauna, crystal laconic and more, before soothing away aches with a 50 minute massage. Heaven.

The Spa at Blythswood Square, Glasgow

From the pool that's subtly lit with a crystal chandelier to Scotland's first seaweed bath, Blythswood Square houses one of the most decadent spas in the country - making it necessary to spare more than just a fleeting visit to take it all in. For just £155 their Dreamtime Spa Day includes over 90 minutes of blissful pampering, including a foot ritual, body scrub, hour-long massage and a two course lunch to ensure you leave completely sated. What's not to love?

Alexandra House, Huddersfield

At Alexandra House, you really can take time out - because there are no clocks in the spa. This holistic haven knows how to spoil you silly, with 2.5 hours of treats and treatments that'll make you feel like a VIP. For just £79, their Paradise Glow Pampering Package includes a full body exfoliation, massage, foot soak, paraffin wax hand treatment, as well as cakes and refreshments and time in their relaxation rooms. First class pampering.

One Day Spa, Birmingham

A fabulous and friendly location, One Day Spa brings indulgence to the heart of Birmingham with their Elemis treatments and quick fix beauty maintenance. For a longer dose of relaxation, their Arcadia Package is well worth its £135; treat yourself to three hours of me-time with their Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow, hot stone full body massage, Elemis facial and hand massage, skin consultation and a hot oil shoulder, face and scalp massage to top it all off. If that doesn't make you feel like a new you, nothing will…
