They say a problem shared is a problem halved so if you’re finding all this spring preparation a bit much – you’ve barely got time to shave your legs let alone paint your nails a pretty shade of pastel - why not share the load with a professional and treat yourself to a pampering spa day? Or better yet, get someone else to treat you…
Easter is on its way and if you don’t fancy stuffing yourself with chocolate (perhaps you’ve been inspired by our detox guide) it’s time to start dropping hints about Easter treats that won’t give you a sugar rush. Stuck for inspiration? See what your fellow Wahanderers recommend with these top three spa days rated and reviewed by you…
The UK’s first Eco-Spa, Titanic Spa is situated on the edge of the picturesque Pennines. The spa’s main focus (besides it’s organic philosophy and holistic approach) is providing its visitors with spa therapies that work “in natural synergy with skin, body and mind” and will continue to benefit you as you settle back into daily life. The spa uses only the best products from the likes of Decléor, Elemis, NEOM Organics and Carita and prides itself on attentive and individualised service. It seems their crème de la crème service ticks your boxes and tickles your fancy, with reviewers granting them five stars across the board. We think their 2 for 1 Feel Gorgeous Spa Day with 25 minute treatment, heat and ice experience, full use of facilities and - most importantly - lunch, is exactly what we (and one lucky friend) need to get ready for spring.
Despite the deceptive name (it’s not really on a beach and is located in Ashford rather than London) Wahanderers love London Beach Country Hotel and Spa and we don’t blame you. Fitting with the venue's 'country club' sort of feel, the luxury hotel overlooks its own plush golf course, but it's the Health Club and Spa facilities that have us really excited. We're talking infinity pool, hydrotherapy pool, steam room and a team of expert beauticians. To top it all off, the hotel also boasts a couple of award winning chefs, so if you’re planning a day trip check out their Spa Day package which includes a two course light lunch as well as an equally tempting treatment and full use of facilities. Sounds delicious.
The name might not scream relaxation, but everything else about this unusual and historic spa does. Set among the rolling Teesdale hills The Garage was once an ancient stopping station. Now a first class spa, it prides itself on its ‘imagination and luxurious rural simplicity’ - think warm natural stone and lots of timber. Speaking of imagination, visitors to The Garage might notice something of a running theme as they step into the paint shop for a manicure or head off for a full body MOT. Unlike any garage we’ve frequented before, the spa features Romanesque steam rooms, a salt room with aromatherapy-infused ancient salt block wall and dry float rooms. Experience some of their unique facilities and services with an aptly named spa day like The Scenic Route or The Country Lane. This spa is certainly one of a kind and best place to get serviced this spring. That's a car term by the way so we don’t know why you’re giggling.
