The nights are getting longer, the days are getting greyer and we’ve still got a few months to wait before the fairy lights and glitter of the festive season brighten things up a bit. Fortunately, it seems the good people at Burberry foresaw all this and decided to bring some sunshine into our lives by releasing their spring nail collection a few months early. On sale for just two weeks they disappear next week so nail addicts take note, you’d better act fast.
Along with the tousled blow dry, flawless skin and pink eye shadow strutting down the Burberry spring summer 2014 catwalks, you might have noticed the gorgeous, and surprisingly colourful, manicures sported by the models. Those of you sitting on the front row (us neither) paying particular attention will also have noticed that said models were wearing six different brand new shades.
Created to compliment the various coloured bags from Burberry’s ‘English Rose’ collection that were carried by the models, the polishes come in shades of rosy pink, ‘Sage Green’, pale yellow (as sported by Miss Delevingne), nude, violet and rust. The full collection is set to be launched officially in January 2014 but anyone keen to get ahead on the trend can buy the full set for £90 until 30th September.
Those of you who miss out on this pre-season sale will be comforted to learn that Burberry will also be launching a trio of shades into their permanent beauty collection (including Oxblood, Poppy Black and Stone) this month, a first for the brand who have previously stuck to beauty products for the lip, skin and eye. These three shades featured in the autumn winter 2013 shows, so when we tell you these shades of red, black and creams are ‘so now’ we really mean it. Find them all on www.burberry.com, but save some for us please.
