Well Christmas day has been and gone with all its treats and trimmings. Now who’s looking forward to starting their New Year detox? Hmm, we see a distinct lack of hands in the air. Could it be the thought of putting away those festive foods and embarking on a four week stint of scouring health shops for elusive ingredients, surviving on suspicious looking smoothies and always feeling a little bit hungry? We don’t blame you.
What if we told you that detoxing doesn’t have to be like that? That in this modern world detoxing can be delicious, filling and delivered straight to your door. You’d probably think we’d had too much broccoli and beetroot juice. Well you’d be wrong. This detox isn’t something we’ve imagined. It’s very real and comes from London company The Detox Kitchen. Care to hear more?
Despite being only a few months old the Detox Kitchen have already won themselves a celebrity following including Agyness Deyn, Elle McPherson, Jasmine Guinness, Select Models and Henry Holland.
The Detox Kitchen is fast getting a reputation for taking the stress and fuss out of detoxing. Each morning your food for the day is delivered to your home and left in a beautiful package on your door step. Inside the package lucky recipients will find meals tailored to cleanse the body and mind developed by the brand’s holistic chefs and nutritionists using fresh, seasonal and sustainable ingredients guaranteed to leave detoxers feeling revitalised, energised and all-in-all healthier and happier.
Your daily menu is made up of a nourishing breakfast, two snacks, lunch, dinner and a pudding – yes a pudding. It also includes a shot of the day, supplements, herbal teas, fresh mint and a delicious juice, meaning no more traipsing around sprawling health food shops for you. Each meal is generous and utterly delicious with particular favourites including the oats with berries and almond milk for breakfast, the prawn, coriander and lime curry with brown rice and the baked pear with raspberry coulis. Snacks included, brazils, edamame crudité and hummous – it’s not a Michelin starred feast, but it’s not bad.
Best of all, after just five days eating with The Detox Kitchen, people have reported radiant skin, high energy levels and a weight loss of 4 lbs.
If you find yourself beginning to waver in the presence of leftover chocolate coins, the detox team are on hand to give support and advice.
