Despite being in Canary Wharf, which is actually quite a surreal place and worth visiting anyway, this spa was perfect for a lazy Sunday combined with a bit of a day out! The entrance is impressive - slick and modern, and the reception was very welcoming. I´d recommend arriving before your treatment so you can check out the huge whirlpool, tropical shower and innovative steam room which has starlights in it. My main comments would be:
Pro:
Amazing massage - my therapist was brilliant and had been trained in Thailand - great towel management, ambience, and pressure
Great Facial - the therapist talked me through the products and explained their benefits without it sounding like an obvious sales pitch! It was very very relaxing and I felt revitalised after.
Whirlpool - this is amazing and very cool design.
Cons:
The sauna was broken, and the steam room could have been steamier and maybe put in some eucalyptus.
IN the changing rooms I would suggest we are given an extra towel between treatments if you are there for the day
Apart from that, it was a great value experience.
This is perfect when you´re pressed for time and just feel like a back massage - you can walk in, be sat in a chair and out feeling fresh in 15 mins - perfect for a booster. The therapists are very professional and well trained with the strongest hands, and the staff are nice. The facilities are quite basic, and so the ambience is not perfect as you are seated not far from the counter with the herbal remedies, but it is quiet and the massage is so good you switch off. Downstairs are rooms for other treatments which are private and cosy. I would definitely recommend this if you need some energy back in those muscles...!!
