The venue is a tiny room above a tanning shop. The therapist/owner is a one woman band, This type of set up is something I could live with if the treatment was good. I booked Sports massage, what I got was an hour of stroking even though I did ask the therapist to have a proper go at my muscles. This is my opinion but you only do a Wahanda promotion to demonstrate to prospective clients how good you are and entice them to come back. It felt like this therapist didn't care. I certainly got what I paid for and will never in million years pay the full price for this quality sports massage. I can get a much better deal at my local physio and they know what they are doing.
I think this lady specialises in acupuncture so maybe that's what she's good at. Don't bother with massage though.
I followed advice from this website and booked waxing with Etrily herself just before going on holiday. On the day of the treatment they rang me to say that Etrily is sick and I was offered another therapist or an alternative day. As I was flying the following day I had to settle for an alternative therapist. Oh boy did she make me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. It was like she was scared to touch me which made me feel really self-conscious. The waxing itself was ok, a bit wonky. Not only I had to hold the skin myself I also had to apply the post waxing cream myself. This is not what I'm used to with my regular waxing lady. I will try Etrily for my next treatment but otherwise will NEVER go there again.
I had pedicure with a voucher purchased through Wahanda. £20 for a treatment worth £50.
The salon ground floor is quite small and has manicure tables arranged along a curved wall. There is nothing luxurious about this place. Simple white walls and benches and some colour thrown in with turquoise towels.
There are no pedicure chairs which was a first huge disappointment (apparently the main salon has them). You have to perch on an uncomfortable bench and then put your feet into the therapists lap. I could not feel my behind after sitting down like this for the duration of the proceure.
The magazines I was handed were really old so there was nothing to entertain myself with while I had the procedure done.
I was offered some peppermint tea which was fine but unfortunately had scale from the kettle at the bottom of the tea cup.
Never in my experience I had to watch the therapist like a hawk and explain to her how the procedure needs to be carried out. She was awkward and did not inspire any confidence. She did not ask me how long I like my toe nails and cut them too short. She also cut one at a really weird angle so its all wonky now. She clearly had absolutely no idea how pedicure should be done and that there is more to it than just pushing cuticles back . Her colleague had to step in 10 minutes into the procedure because I was prepared top leave. The second therapist had steadier hand and gave me an 'ok' pedicure. I certainly would not pay any more than £20 for this quality and cannot comprehend how they can even charge people £50. I'm just upset I wasted my time going to this place.
My local pedicure place has a massage chair and amazing therapists who know how to revive your feet, all for £25. No more experiments with random spa's for me.
