Can't remember the name of the therapist now, but one of the best massages I've had - she was really attentive, listened to what I wanted and did exactly what I needed. It's a great place to then relax in the pool and various rooms. It's usually quite empty there. Not essential but worth noting they have great hair dryers... They do fairly decent juices and food upstairs as well, and you can do stretching etc in the gym part. Overall great place, come out feeling relaxed.

I used a Wahanda voucher to get the "Drift Away" package comprising a body and scalp massage. Fine is the word I'd use to describe the treatment - average room, average therapist, average everything but the MASSIVE bonus is that they let me sneak it and use the pool, jacuzzi, steam etc. which are great. Lucy was the name of my therapist, she was pleasant but didn't really seem to have her heart in it (can't say I would either!). I got a better massage from the water jets, which suited me just fine. I left feeling refreshed and would definitely recommend it as a way to end up having a cheeky spa day with a couple of basic treatments. I also snuck into a meditation class which was a persian type of relaxation with simple exercises, like really easy Pilates really, it was fun to try something new.

Aaaaah.... not even being close-to-breakup with the boyfriend I went with could spoil the weekend, perfect place to relax, go for walks, have the bubbliest baths in the world and generally smile. The whole area is fabulous, cute local pubs and lots of fields. Only possible downside is the pool can tend to be swarming with children - good or bad depending on your perspective!

I came out feeling worse than I went in! Never a good thing. They had really off-key attitude, I felt like I was being told off for not having a better skincare routine and they tried to hard-sell me products - whole experience wasn't great, although the facial was ok. It was strange, as a couple of people had recommended the place. This was quite a while ago so maybe just talk to them on the phone and see if you like them before going to an appointment!

Great on the weekend - every time I've been it's been pretty much empty. Love the showers and had an odd bath-in-a-pod sort of thing which was entertaining! The staff were incredibly helpful. Only downside is that a lot of the space is down in the basement, so not lots of natural light.

Really relaxing, outdoor hot tub and stroll along the beach - whole place feels rather organic and lovely. Let us join in the pilates class and had a great massage. There's a decent pub nearby as well for a re-tox at the end of the day!

Great day spa, loved the salt water pool and sat for HOURS in the massage chairs! On a nice day it's great - only downside is that it'll probably always be quite busy, and that it feels a bit like a chain - the flipside is that you know exactly what you are getting and the standards are high.

In terms of places you can go for a day it's great as the wet facilities are fab - I spent a good couple of hours just doing salt pool, steam, sauna, plunge again and again! Really felt refreshed and did a fun aqua class as well.

Really generous sized studios - having checked out Fitness First Black Label nearby the comparison was unbelievable. The classes are great and all the instructors are the highest standard - it's the gym they use for all the training of "Body" classes - Combat, Attack, Balance etc so they get the pick of the best.

It's the best Virgin gym to join in the area as it doesn't have a pool so the membership is a bit cheaper, while you can still use Strand and Marylebone whenever you want.

It is a bit pricier than the basic gyms nearby, but the facilities reflect that cost.
