I visited Beauty at the Salon after months without treatment, I was in a bad way! So had 4 treatments a facial, waxing an eyebrow shape and eyelash tint.

I was suffering from a terrible bout of spots around my jawline but the Yonka facial really helped and was very good value considering the amount of time my therapist spent. The products smelt great and didn't irritate my skin which is very prone to flaring up! I particularly enjoyed the, I don't know what to call it! but a sort of vapouriser used to put the essential oil mix on my skin. My therapist was very competent and seemed to take time to understand my skin type and explained each stage of the facial, she also didn't make too much conversation during the facial which I often find difficult in these situations!

For my leg waxing my therapist used Lycon wax, which is what i searched for when i and found this salon online in the first place. I had Lycon wax used on my legs once before but didn't really notice the difference until I went back to normal roller wax and noticed how many more ingrown hairs I got on the regrowth. I will always opt for this wax now if i can find it. Again thee therapist seemed to put a lot of attention into getting the best finish, getting the magnifying lamp thing out and tweezering any stray hairs on my legs at the end of the treatment.

My eyebrow shaping was very good- she used threading to get the best shape. I asked her not to take to much off my eyebrows (not too keen on the tadpole eyebrow look) and she listened and I was happy with the shape. With the eyelash colour she spent alot of time preparing the lashes and I didn't get the awful dye in the eye scenario and was very pleased with the final outcome.

I was honestly suprised to get such good service from a salon on the main drag outside Hove Station, but i really am pleased with the result and will make a return visit soon.

The therapist was lovely and put me at ease. The waxing process was very quick and realtively painless, I felt comfortable at the salon and was pleased with the results, will definitely visit again.

Went to Twenty8 Hair & Beauty in Soho, central location. It was easy to make an appointment for whenever suited. When I arrived the receptionist was friendly and showed me to the room. Nice atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. Treatment room was clean. Therapist made me feel very comfortable. I had waxing treatment, full legs and underarms. Therapist waxed super quick and pain free. Would defiantly go back.

venue hard to find, greeted abruptly asking for voucher, and forced me to pay extra £28 on top of my already paid for wahanda voucher because therapist suggested hot wax was better than strip wax.

why would i purchase a coupon if what i ended up paying is £16 more than what i would've gotten if i had gone there without coupon. therapist justified saying it was because i got 'two treatments' (the second of which was hastily done as she had another upcoming appointment) and told me to call their manager in ONE MONTH's time when she was back from her holiday to sort it out.

I really enjoyed going to IMAGES in clapham common. The therapists were friendly, the chairs were comfortable and the pedicure was fantastic. Another thing I must add is that it is extremely close to Clapham common tube station - convenient!
The only problem I had with my visit was that the toilet was out of use and I really needed to go!

The beauty room is just what we needed, they provide a really cool service, they actually listen to one's needs, and are on hand for advice. facials are just fantastic, and their waxing is just superb. no pain, quick and painles.. always ready for a return.

An excellent service provided by an extremley professional beautician. The salon isnt very big, but has a warm and homely feel about it. Excellent value for money, I would definatley recommend!

Metta really do a great job on leg waxing - not a stray hair left! Also get my eyebrows done there, and they're always perfect too. The therapist is lovely too. The venue isn't luxury, but that's made up by the staff and the value. Will be back.

After purchasing the Spotlight offer for the lash extensions I couldn’t wait to get them done. I changed my appointment a few times due to work commitments and they were completely understandable. My therapist Rachel was amazing, can’t credit her enough. The lash lift results were beyond my expectations, I never realised my natural lashes had the potential to be that long and thick without lash extensions. I also decided to spend my £50 Wahanda Gift Voucher there, I got a eyebrow wax and tint plus Gelish nails, once again Rachel exceeded my expectations and I left very happy. One of my favourite things about the spa is the atmosphere, it’s very clear the therapists love their jobs, take pride in their work ensure customers are satisfied. Next time I go back I want to try a full spa day, will keep you posted.

I love Sajna for it's convenience and value. I have gone a few times to get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. It is a small beauty bar but definately does the job. The staff are very efficient and professional although they aren't over friendly, however this is something I prefer.

I have just had my first wax there and was slightly concerned at how quick it was, however was very pleased with the results.

The overall cost for all three treatments came to an amazing £17 - this was something I was very pleased about.

Good service and very good value for money, however the place looks untidy and messy. Staff very friendly.

I was going into the spa for a really nice time trying to do something good for myself which I hardly do. The place is really small and very dirty, they don't clean at all. The woman at the counter gave very confusing information. I went two times to ask about a package they were offering and both times they confirmed that I would be able to get a spa pedicure and a regular gel manicure. Then when I came in it changed and they wanted to charge me more. I felt so scammed, I couldn't do anything as they were already working on me. All I could do is be in tears for the whole time. They never once did they think of my feelings and the fact that I came in two times to confirm and the woman I confirmed with was right there telling me they can't do anything. But the woman who was treating me wanted to help and not charge me but they just stood there while I was in tears. I was there for more the two hours while they were treating me. The pedicure was something horrible, I could have done a better job...went i got home the polish was ruined. I feel like they did this on purpose. Then when I was getting my gel polish, it's like she had no idea what she was doing as when she removed the gel from the holder she didn't remove the excess and the gel was very glumpy on my nails and she had to redo it at least 3 times. Then if this is not the worst experince ever they first threaded my eyebrows and they couldn't even see that they weren't even. I had to ask them to do it again. It was horrible as I would have thought that their priority would be to do a great job and feel that even eyebrows are something that they would take intiative in making right, but they could care less. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE.....I would hate for someone to have a similar experience. I'm new to the city and the worst is that I thought I had found a place to go to have a nice experience but now I have no clue where to go.

Been coming here since late 2011 for waxing and cant fault the service. Now heavily pregnant they are couterous and on hand to assist and make it as comfortable (as waxing can be) as possible.

Fully qualified staff, excellent service thoughout and really friendly. Innerspirit has a team of people who go that extra mile to make you feel comfortable and pampered. They are so community minded and this makes the place really special.

If you want to be pampered then this is the place to go NOTHING is too much trouble for any of the team.

Go and try them out yourselves and I know you want be disappointed!! I have never been disappointed.

I am a well travelled spa seeker who is now a regular at this spa, and I can honestly say I am so pleased with my experiences here having had many types of treatments. I stumbled across it by accident as a Gym London member of another gym but came to Epsom for a class and walked past the spa promotion stand with intrigue and haven’t looked back – what a find! A true gem, all the therapists seem very well informed and they can’t do enough for you. It’s the little things that really stand out here, from the welcome touch, inhalation bowls, the music and relaxing smell and décor that greets you. It could easily rival most top London spas.

Initially I purchased the voucher because they were good value - but after a couple of treatments I realized this is a gem of a place. Very close to the station, great therapist, good equipment and pleasant environment.

Great and relaxing place. Went for waxing and was welcome by lovely lady at the reception. Was offered glass of water and had nice chat with her too while waiting. Waxing was quick, painless and efficient. Definitely coming back not only for waxing. :))

Excellent salon, great service...amazing value for money. I would definitely go back for more treatments in the future. The staff are incredibly friendly and made me feel at ease with the treatments. The salon was very easy to find in the centre of Arnold.

I go to Dollface regularly and have followed from the previous venue to the new one in Canary Wharf because its hard nowadays to find better quality treatment which a more friendly and personable therapist. The new salon is superb and even better as its now closer to where I live than before. I am an excrutiatingly shy customer who is not comfortable having my skin touched, but Theresa has an amazing ability to relax me and make me feel completely comfortable. And as if that wasn't enough, everytime I leave a treatment I feel like I have perfect healthy beautiful skin. I could not recommend Theresa and Dollface more - the best.

Was quick and easy to book an appointment. Got to my appointment early and was greeted by a friendly member of staff whilst I waited. Was took into the treatment room and put at ease.
The salon itself is quite small and was glad there were no other customers whilst I was present.
Overall, was really good value for money and would consider going back from now on.

The therapist was really welcoming and lovely. The salon is really nice, lovely decor and relaxing music. The wax was quick and efficiently done. The therapist was very thorough and used the tweezers too on stray hairs...a lot of waxing places will just rush things to get you out of the door as soon as possible! I would definitely go back.

This was a great voucher and a great treatment. I got a wax done for just £15 and the place was nice, clean and my therapist was lots of fun. Kept popping jokes so I would be distracted from the pain and made it as enjoyable as it was ever going to be!

An amazing beauty therapist! She knows what shes doing, and is really friendly. Totally suggested for first time waxers especially with the lycon wax - which is basically pain free! I will know continue to visit.

Went along for a facial which was supposed to be using more gentle ingredients as I often react to even simple facials and get sore skin. Not only did it not sting once, but it was the most amazing facial I have ever had! If that sounds over-the-top, I'm sorry, but it was so relaxing and gentle that I actually fell asleep. The next day my skin was still soft and glowing. Am just about to go back for more of the same.

The salon is in a very nice area and is very inviting. I had waxing done and the therapist was very quick and professional. She was chatty but not overly so. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend if you are in the area.

The staff at Estivals were incredible and I felt very much at home and so comfortable as if I had been going there for years. I enjoyed the thoughtfulness of coffee and chocolates on arrival after my journey.

The staff have the ethic that nothing would be too much trouble that I feel it should therefore be recommended.

I look forward to the open day on 27th May as the previous events at Estivals have been exceptional.

First time having a "Hollywood" was made at ease and I will definitely be going back. And the girls are lovely! One very satisfied customer and I will be telling all my friends about you!

I have been to this salon regularly since the new manager took over and service has always been excellent. Staff are very polite, friendly and helpful, my nails always look fantastic and treatments are good value. The bad review shown here is so far removed from my experiences at this salon that I can only assume it's from a competitor. Every time I visit there have been customers in the salon who know the staff and clearly come back for treatments time and again. I will continue to go here to get my waxing and nails done and would recommend Essence to others.

It wasn't awful, but the wax wasn't very effective as they used strip wax instead of Lycon and the hairs seemed to break rather than be removed. The staff were friendly but with how quickly my hair grew back compared to usual waxes I don't think it was worth the money.

Staff were very friendly. They made me feel very comfortable and not awkward at all. Very fast and almost pain free. Would recommend to a freind and will go there again next month.

I'm a return guest at Metta, the service is always friendly. Very calming atmosphere with professional staff. I've only had waxing there, but I'll definitely try their massages as well. Very convenient location, so close to everything, easily accessible. Will definitely return.

I just visited the new salon and loved it! It has a wonderful atmosphere, and as always I am extremely happy with the service. Lycon wax is nearly painless, and the therapist is efficient and professional. I have now been back to her three times and she always does a wonderful job. The new salon is lovely and easy to find. I went to Magda for the first time last month and loved it. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and the salon is private and comfortable. They provide quality haircare and my last haircut has gotten more complements than any other salon I have went to. Ouch!!! I wont lie, it was very painful but the therapist was really helpful and kept me at ease. She explained everything she was doing and what was going to happen next. I thought I'd feel embarrassed with all my bits on show but didn't at all. It was done in sections and over in no time. I also had my legs down which was quick and pain free. Long lasting efftect.....

The location is great and the cosy atmosphere made me feel like at home.

I've tried loads of treatments such as Gel Nails, facial, waxing and eyelash extension, which is absolutely my favourite ever.

At Beauty Rose I'm sure to immerse myself in expert hands and, most importantly, about the results I want, which is pretty rare in central London.
The value for money is enormous considering the high quality of the service provided.

This very fact keeps me coming back to explore new treatments.

I highly recommend the gel pedicure/manicure, which lasts perfect usually up to 3 weeks and the laser IPL that saved my whole life!!!

I had a great experience with Theresa at Dollface. I had bought the Wahanda voucher for the Lycon brazilian wax and half leg wax, and had my underarms done too. The voucher was a great deal, but even without it is very reasonably priced, especially for the Lycon wax, which is brilliant and practically painless, but I find usually very overpriced in London. Theresa was extremely nice and professional and took great trouble to make sure I was completely satisfied with everything. Her new salon at Canary Wharf is lovely-- smart and bright and clean. I will definitely be back.

I can honestly say that this is by far the best, most professional, quick and painfree wax have ever had done. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. Am glad I found it using the voucher, and will definitely be booking again. Best wax ever!

I've been going to see Theresa at Dollface since she started at Dappa for waxing, facials and pedis and have just been for my first treatments at her new home in The Docklands clinic. Wow what a lovely new salon, the room is like a mini oasis of calm, I felt very relaxed and pampered.

I like to consider myself a real product and treatments queen, I've had countless facials over the years and tried just about every fancy cream in the book. When I first went to Theresa she explained all about the Dermalogica product line and gave me a totally personalised regime to follow at home, she also gently told me where I was going wrong by using products that were far too harsh for my skin. Theresa is extremely knowledgeable and adapts my facials every time to what is going on with my skin. A year on and my skin is totally transformed, it hasn't looked this good since my late 20's (I'm 42). I now only use Dermalogica products and look forward to the glow that all my friends comment on after my monthly facial.
As far as waxing is concerned Lycon waxing with Theresa was a revelation for me, it is virtually painless and my hairs have now grown back thinner. Add to this her gentle touch and sense of humour and I no longer dread getting waxed.

I can't recommend Dollface enough, I will definitely be a regular at The Docklands Clinic.

I bought a voucher for Hollywood waxing and eye brow waxing.
I had no difficult in booking an appointment, and was greeted by a friendly member of staff.
I had my treatment by an equally friendly and chatty member of staff.
The premises is quite small and the treatment room i was in was right next to the waiting area so had anyone had been waiting for their treatment they would have over heard everything.
There also didnt seem to be any toilet facilities....

Having said this i would attend there again for special offers.

I would recommend Beauty Bizz - I had waxing done there and was incredibly impressed by how quick it was, good quality wax and very clean. They use Dermalogica products. The lady who runs it has owned the salon for 10 years and does a lot of house calls to people like Pixie Lott. She's quite firm but makes it a very unpainful process. She's not exceptionally thorough but for the price I couldn't complain.The venue was good - quite boudoir style decor. The downside is booking the appointment was tricky - had to keep calling and there weren't many appointments available. I wish they did booking via email. Overall I would definitely recommend a friend goes there.

Feroza is absolutely brilliant at waxing and threading. She's been doing it for years and years (does a lot of house calls to celebrities and foreign royal family members) & I can honestly say it doesn't hurt at all which I still can't believe. She's lovely and is excellent at what she does. Both the waxing and threading last far far longer than anywhere else I've ever been before. The downsides are the salon is very strange, it's a small room off a men's weight lifting gym but has a superb view over Covent Garden and she doesn't use any glamorous products. She's cheap but truly brilliant and better service than you'd receive in any of the Mayfair salons I used to use.

I went here after it was recommended to me. I drove past it at first but found it when I walked back - its on a corner and quite hidden. I went in to have my eyebrows waxed, I didn't have an appointment but was still seen within 5 minutes. It was the least painful waxing I had ever had, and I was really surprised how quickly she managed to do it.
I got chatting to the therapist and asked her about acrylic nails as my nail varnish always chips off at work. She was really helpful and suggested I tried Shellac varnish instead - she was not too busy and was able to do it for me straight away. I've had it for about a week so far and it looks as good as the day it was done so I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts longer than the expected 2/3 weeks.
I am definately going to go back to Lyttle Minx. The staff were really friendly and I felt able to ask questions about different services they offered without feeling silly. I have already recommended it to friends.

The therapist (can't remember her name) was lovely, lovely, lovely. Really gentle with my troublesome neck in the massage and with my facial managed to take off 5 weeks of hard work and little sleep.

Just had the best lashes applied EVER there so full and i just love love love them... as im trying to find there website as the girls have told me of other great treatments and i saw a weave be done in the salon is amazing .. i want one .... when i came across this i thought i had to let you know... try them out there very relaxed and nice girls ... defo be back

I cant complain about one thing. Greeted by friendly staff, made to feel welcome, explained my treatment to me. Nice atmosphere, professional staff, great value for money. The staff even recommended some products for my skin, which i have since bought as i was looking for something new to try and they have helped a lot! If i wasn't interested they would not have tried to oversell any products to me. I will definitely book in my next treatment here :)

I went here for an underarm and full leg wax.

The spa itself looked lovely and nicely presented. The room I was in for the waxing was clean, warm and peaceful.

The therapist was friendly and chatty. The waxing treatment itself was good. The therapist was fast and effective. The underarm wax was very effective and removed all the hair and I've noticed far less regrowth. The leg wax wasn't quite as good - there were still some patches of long hair left which could probably have been taken off if the therapist was more thorough.

Overall I'd probably go back here again - as it was relaxing (even for a wax!) and good value for money.

I received a voucher for a massage at this centre as a birthday present, but as I was about to leave for my holidays, I asked if it would be at all possible to use the voucher for a waxing treatment instead. They happily accommodated my request, which I thought was very gracious of them. The salon is lovely and the staff are absolutely impeccable. Great customer service. The treatment was also top notch, they used a different wax than what I was used to - it was bright red instead of the usual yellowish colour. It was the least painful bikini wax I had ever! The only downside for me is their price list, their treatments are quite expensive - however, I can honestly say they are worth the price!

I have been a regular client of Pamper Me in Cheadle Hulme for seven months.
This is absoluely, without a doubt, the most outstanding beauty salon I have ever been to.
The salon's decor has a boutique feel and I love that each room has a specific theme, like the Buddha room. My therapist is Jodie, the salon owner, she is a lovely girl who strives to give every client a relaxing experience and has a real commitment to excellence, which is what every service I have had is. I have a brazilian wax and leg wax and the results are always amazing, manicure and pedicure and on my last visit I had a Gel-ish manicure which is a new service at Pamper Me and I love it. On my next visit I will be having a Gel-ish pedicure too. And Jodie has converted me for life to the Payot facial range.
I have recommended Pamper Me to all my friends, family and colleagues and they have all said they will definately, without a doubt return as they have loved their experience.

OMG what a waste of time and money. I went to spend a £50 voucher there on waxing treatments. Although on my arrival I was offered a glass of water and then taken to a very relaxing dimly litted room . To my horror I was very very disappointed with the treatment as i left the place feeling sticky and covered in bruises. The girl was poliet through out the treatment but she either lacked experience or had a very very bad technique and I asked her to stop waxing. After doing one leg I was covered in bruses on my thighs and half of my leg was still covered in patches of hair.

It maybe that in the dim light that she couldnt see what she was doing but even when she lit the lights up to full it was still too dim for her to see the dark hair on my skin. when she got to my bikini line she kept pulling at my skin. Her excuse for not being able to pull effectlively was that she has never done a full bakini waxing and also that the wax they have is not suitable for corse hair..... WTF??? how can a salon that charges so much for its treatment not have appropriate type of wax for all hair types. and if she thought it wasnt appropriate couldnt she stop before she put the wax on me?. She then moved on to the fine hair on my arms and as she couldnt see the hair even after waxing the same area 2-3 times she left patches of hair on it

2 and half hours of this led to so much frustration that I left the place feeling very sticky and disappointed without using up the full voucher and without finishing the treatment I booked for.

This is the first time I have ever been moved to write a review of anything in my life. This is the WORST spa I have ever been to. The staff are rude, unhelpful and clueless. I booked a wax days in advance. When I turned up to my appointment the sour faced receptionist chose to notice me when she was ready with no more than a miserable look on her face. When my therapist came out to take me to my spa room, she opened the door to an already occupied room where a lady was having some sort of facial treatment. After retreating from this room (as she giggled) she asked me to go back and sit in the waiting area. Five minutes later she returned to tell me that unfortunately my appointment slot had been double booked. Full stop. Her feeble apology was complimented by the lingering silence that followed it. She offered me to come back for a discounted treatment later in the week, however, I informed her that I was in fact going on holiday (hence the appointment on that particular day) and therefore could not make an appointment later in the week as I was flying out of London tomorrow. To this she only said sorry and sent me on my way. As I seethed on my way back to the office, I decided to call to speak to the manager. The phone was answered by my beautician, Theresa, who said the manager was not in until Thursday so I could call her then. As it is clear Theresa has a short term memory, I re-informed her of the holiday I was going and and reiterated my disappointment at the quality of service. Surprisingly, Theresa decided to take a defensive attitude and spoke to me in a tone that can only be described as patronising. I informed her that I work in an office building across the road with over 500 other woman who I would happily inform on the internal network that this was the worst experience I have ever had at a spa and that they should never go there. She helpfully reiterated "we said sorry".

Even if the spa asked me to come in for complimentary treatments following my complaint, I would not. This is an absolutely appalling company with ridiculously poor customer service and I would warn anyone off using them. They will only disappoint you. I will be calling their manager on my return from holiday, just to make sure they have an idea of how poor their customer service is.

Have been going to Rani Mirza for facials for 4 years, and would highly recommend this salon.
My reasons are simple: they leave my skin rejuvenated, decongested and healthy. Extractions are thorough but gentle; products are effective and pleasant; the whole experience is friendly and effective; therapist is experienced and professional and has an "expert touch". Value for money is good too, especially if you buy a course of treatments.

I have been to many beauty spas in London and the USA, some with big brand names, more innovative treatment lists and slicker facilities - but I love the personal touch here, and the fact that I can rely on getting the same high standard of treatment every time I go. Given my busy job, I also greatly appreciate the flexibility - I can book via email, and Rani is accommodating when I've had to change time slots at short notice (no "48hr cancellation charges" here). I generally feel treated like a loyal customer should - Rani believes in doing right by her customers and knows that she is investing in a long term relationship - not maximising throughput to make a fast buck.

At the beginning I was all stressed, because waxing is not a very pleasant treatment in general. Before I attended Luca Salon I had one waxing treatment in my life and that one was a complete disaster.
However, thanks to very professional and friendly Amy my feeling about waxing is now completely different. Thanks to her I found out that waxing can be much less painful and stress free. I would definitely consider attending this kind of treatment in Luca Salon again.

Aquarius Spa Richmond is very easy to get to and in a really great location. I received lovely service and the staff were nice and friendly. I would recommend again.

I was truly pleased with Lulu's Beauty Boutique. The salon was very charming, clean and pleasant. I found the staff and my therapist very professional and I felt well looked after. I only went there for a waxing session, which was great, but I would definitely consider going back for other treatments as well.

I have been going to this salon for a while now and had various treatments done by various of the girls, although for most of my treatments ive been with Lauren (amazing).
I would highly recommend (and have done) to all of my friends.
The girls are all friendly and great at what they do.

I had to request a refund on this waxing voucher as it turned out that it couldnt be booked until over a week after it was bought, the manager would not let me make a booking even for after that time and was really rude and unaccomodating on the phone. Everyone please check the voucher for when you are allowed to book before as this is one of those ones that you end up not being able to have the appointment until ages after because all the bookings come on the one day that they delay it until.

Wahanda were wonderful with my refund, it is only the salon that i was unhappy with.

I have been using Theresa at Dollface for over 6 months now and wouldn't use anyone else.....
The hot wax is brilliant, and doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as normal waxing....
I was a little nervous at first with anything new but Theresa put me at ease and was extremely reassuring. But there was no need to be nervous as it was the easiest and least painful waxing I have ever had.....and she is also very quick which is always a bonus.
The room is always so clean and I always feel comfortable.....
I highly recommend anyone to use Dollface Skin and Beauty Therapy.

I arrived a little earlier, so I waited for a while (I also waited about 10 minutes because my appointment started late). I was offered some tea and given some magazines, so I didn't really mind waiting.
The room was a bit small and didn't particularly like the atmosphere. When I was asked to take off my bottom clothes and underwear I expected the therapist to leave the room as it usually happens, but she didn't. Again I didn't mind even though it helps me to relax when I'm left alone for a few minutes.
She started with my underarms. I know I have coarse hair, which is why I usually do hot wax, but the therapist did warm which irritated my skin because she had to wax multiple times the same area. I thought she knew what she was doing so I didn't say anything, but the next few days my underarms became red and were quite sensitive. Then we continued with a Hollywood wax. Now, from my experience and what I know, Hollywood means wax off everything, including the back. However, she only waxed the front area, completely neglecting the butt. The waxing was quite painful - and even though I know that no wax can be painfree, compared to other waxing sessions this was probably my most painful one. On the good side, the therapist was quite friendly and thorough to the areas she did (there weren't any stray patches).
Overall, I wasn't very happy, as it didn't reach my standards. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The price was low, but I had much better experiences with the same price.

The staff were lovely here and gave me a great leg and eyebrow wax. The venue was a wee bit dark and small, but in central London it's hard not to be. Will definitely be returning though.

I really enjoyed my visit to Dollface. Though the therapist was running late, she made up for it with an excellent service. She was very friendly, and I found the lycon wax to be much less painful than other waxes. I'm not sure I could go back to regular wax!

The treatment did not take very long and I was happy with the results. The therapist took the time to ask me about my skin and offered several solutions for my sensitive skin. The salon is very quirky, and while that may not be for everyone I enjoyed it. Overall I would recommend the salon.

I booked the Lycon Brazilian wax and leg wax offer; this was the first time I've tried a Brazilian wax and I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of pain. Theresa, the therapist, was great - she really put me at ease, and was very professional. She explained what she was doing, and was thorough and efficient. One of the best waxing treatments I've had, I'll definitely be going back!

I went to this place to get waxed and I was pleasantly surprised about the wax they use. It is some sort of Australian wax and it was noticeably less painful than any other waxing I have ever experienced and it looked and smell like a chocolate.
Staff were very friendly and the place is immaculately clean but the music was awful.
I will definitely go back and next time I might try Fish pedicure. :-)

I have been a very satisfied Saks Beauty Newark customer for over two years and continue to have regular treatments across the whole range of services that the salon offers - manicure, pedicure, brow shape, endermology, Hollywood lashes, massage, waxing and microdermabrasion. Having visited various salons for many years in London and in Nottingham, I cannot praise Saks highly enough - this salon is a little gem! The staff are friendly, ultra professional and exceptionally good at what they do, the range of treatments available is impressive, the pricing represents great value for money when compared to other local salons and I have never once had an appointment cancelled or mixed up.

Last Saturday I had a gel manicure at 9am and by 2.30pm I had chipped a nail (entirely my fault, chopping vegetables for a dinner party!). I called Saks who told me that they were fully booked but offered to squeeze me in for a running repair after their official closing time - Emma stayed behind, fixed my nail and refused to accept any payment. With service like that, I will be a satisfied customer for a very long time.

I have been coming to this salon since August 2011, I had just had a baby and wanted to treat myself and feel human again! I couldn't have come to a better place - the treatments are second to none and the staff are so friendly I have actually come to feel as though I am meeting friends.

I would recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for London standard treatments outside of the capital.

My first ever time here and will definitely go back (and I'm fussy, so it says a lot!) Incredibly hygenic, gentle, and thorough - you can tell Theresa (the therapist) knows what she is doing and this was one of the least painful waxing treatments I had had. Definitely recommend. The salon is quite cool too, and the staff there are also lovely. Although there was a tiny mix up in my appointment booking and through no fault of Theresa, the therapist, she was really apologetic and offered me a free treatment in return. When I did show up, the tube was down and I was late but she did her best to fit me in regardless and didn't make me feel bad about it at all. Overall just really pleasant and efficient and exactly what I had been looking for.

My waxist was very nice and made it as painless as possible. least painful hollywood I've ever had. I was so pleased with the results. The voucher was such a good deal, I would love to go again if they had any more deals.

I visited the salon with a voucher for waxing. I turned up early and the therapist started straight away which was much appreciated. The waxing was some of the best and most pain free that I have ever had, the therapist really knows her stuff! Excellent and I will definitely return.

Really recommend this salon - it's a little room in the back of the shop but with the soothing music on, you can't hear anything outside. Comfortable and warm, with great products. The treatments were both great - the therapist was lovely and very knowledgeable about skin. Only downside is both times I've visited my treatments were started late (once 20 mins, once 10). Although the therapist is very apologetic and keeps you updated - ultimately there is an issue with booking as there is only one treatment one so she has to wait for the previous client to finish to setup the room for the next. Despite this I would highly recommend and will go back as it's very reasonably priced for the area and quality.

Let me start off by saying I've tried a lot of salons around Stoke Newington! I don't usually write reviews but this is a little salon which is so tucked away it's almost exclusive! It's located underneath Abney Hall on Church Street.
I heard about Beautify from a friend and I thought I might as well try it out. The salon its self is wonderful and charming it has some modern equipment such as a special pedicure chair, and other bits and bobs. As well as home made skin products.
The therapist there was a lovely and polite girl that is willing to advise you on anything!
The facial was relaxing and the cream used smelt of chocolate!!
Since this treatment i now go every other week to get my nails done as I trust no one else other than Oya with my nails!

I come to this salon regularly for treatments but i really love the facials and an aromatherapy body massage and i can honestly say the treatments are amazing and work wonders for my skin. Selina is a lovely lady and a fantastic therapist. The prices are brilliant for the quality of the treatments provided and i highly recommend this salon to anybody.

The experience was great! Very convinient location (10min) walk from my work place therefore I have booked treatment over my lunch break. Very friendly staff! Great value for money!!! I might possibly go back if received another good voucher otherwise found the original prices a little out of my pocket. Would def. recommended though:)

I visited this salon for the first time today - Theresa was amazing! I went for a full leg wax and ended up leaving with a leg, bikini, arm and underarm wax, she was so good. She made me feel instantly comfortable and relaxed, and she was very gentle. It had been a year since my last wax (I'm a 'shaver' normally) and I was nervous about the pain but it really was absolutely fine - the lycon wax is way less painful than any other kind I've experienced before (hot wax, sugaring), and much more efficient. I will absolutely return to see her again, and maybe next time I'll brave a Brazilian!

The ambience was great as well as the customer care. The process of obtaining the voucher was quick and easy and I had no problems using it at the designated venue. I would recommend this to someone who wanted to get something similar.

I was totally shocked by the reception I received and the salon was not as described on the internet. It was small, dark and dreary. The room I was put into was so small with a small bed against the wall. It could not be moved. The therapist had to lean right on top of me to do one side. I came out of there with more hair still on and more wax than I went in with....

I would not recommend and will not be returning.

First impression, not too bad, friendly enough at when first went into salon.

Was in for waxing package, half leg, underarm, very basic bikini line, eyebrow and lip. Felt whole treatment bit rushed with some hairs left on leg and underarm. Eyebrow not tweezed into shape after wax. Unfortunately very red and slight burn to underarms, had to apply prescription only cream for burns.. wax too hot or left on too long before cloth applied? very red eyebrow and lip afterwards. Not sure if able to get spray tan at weekend as this may not have healed in time.

Not too good if slight burn and have to tidy up areas yourself!

Very relaxing experience I go on a regular basis, always have complete confidence in my theripist. When having the facial I almost drift off to sleep its so relaxing. I have no hesitation in recomending either therapist I have had both treat me in the past.

i am new to the blackburn area and was not sure which salon to go to, when i went in to salon de beaute, i was welcomed with a warm atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and polite to me, as for the treatments, they were excellent value for money! and they did a smashing job!i will defo use salon again! customer service is great! prices you can't go wrong with.

The spa is awesome, quite expensive but the quality shows. Their extractions are very mild though (not as hardcore in 'getting in there' and clearing up all your pores as my previous therapists) but the rest of the facial itself is amazing. :)

J'adore Odyssey Boutique! I've had Hollywood waxes literally all over the world and can honestly say that Sam at Odyssey Boutique is the best. She is very knowledgeable and extremely professional. I used to have a really bad problem with ingrown hairs which no other therapist seemed able to help with but she has pretty much eliminated the problem. I really love how all the therapies have a 'focus': everything you need to look good naked. It means that Sam is really focused on her specific treatments which just makes her better at them. The Boutique is just gorgeous and has the most beautiful lingerie available. I would recommend Odyssey Boutique to anyone looking for a salon that treats you like an individual and not another input of a beauty salon factory.

We had a lovely day at Edinburgh Marriott and made full use of the leisure facilities and had a great body massage and facial. Very relaxing and enjoyable. There was a bit of a mix up with the times booked for our treatments but Jessica managed to sort it out.

The salon has just opened when I visited, and was nicely decorated. The lady was plesent too, and very professional. Nice salon, with a good range of treatments. Will definately visit again.

Lovely place doubling as a salon and vintage shoppe just up from Camden Lock & Morrissons, Theresa was super nice and made the whole experience pleasurable! She was concerned about hygiene , baby wipes were available [i've been to other salons that don't do this before a bikini wax, horrid!] and after every application of hot wax a new applicator was used. The Lycon wax is amazing!!! I have sensitive skin and no breakouts post wax! The waxing is indeed pricey but hopefully there will be more specials for regular customers, as a first time customer I was thrilled with Theresa, the salon and I would most definitely go again!!!

If you value your time-DO NOT GO THERE!.Dispate,that most terapists is nice, the boss is rude and unprofessional.
She canceled appointment 20 minutes before shedule, next resheduled for day and time that she choosed.10 minutes prior to this (resheduled) appointment, she had cancel again,because she went out of salon for her own! appointment and none of the present staff were trained for laser hair removal.She promised to get back within next hour,so I decided to wait for her ,because was to costly for me to get another day off work. After over 2 hours of waiting I gave up.She called me me one hour later to rebook my treatment.On my sugestion about compensation(for mesleading me,wasted my time and money) she denied that I should receive ANY free tratment .Is very unfair,that client must give them minimum 24 hour cancellation time,but salon ,,manager'' can cancel appointment at any time without consequences or responsibility(compensation).
Do not go there!

It's a clean venue, good waxing work. The staff is very nice and friendly. The person doing the waxing is very friendly. She talks to you so you can forget you are being waxed!

She cares about her customer and make sure you feel comfortable.

After the session she gave me her card and told me I can come back to do some waxing for the same wahanda deal price which is good.

The salon is well decorated and has a good ambience. The therapist was really nice and the treatment was ok, although I have had better experiences before. Maybe they could personalise the service a bit more but overall it was ok.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The staff were friendly and the salon was clean in general. I was very pleased with the service. My only complaint is that the therapist double dipped into the wax and never changed the applicator stick. This made me slightly worried about the overall hygiene of the salon. Other than that I would recommend Bibas salon!

I took up the offer of the brazilian wax for £20, back in November 2011, which was excellent value for money. Not sure what to expect as had never had a hot wax before and this was only my 3rd brazilian so was very nervous.
Claudia my waxer put me at ease straight away, and was very professional. The hot wax was less painful then I thought, and the results were lovely and smooth. I also, like a previous reviewer, experienced itching for a couple of weeks, a week after the wax, but since I have been back since a couple of times,, I was assured that this would diminish with exfoliation, which definitely did the trick.

I would definitely recommend Claudia, and will be back for more!

First of all, the blond, busty receptionist is extremely rude. I came in for a simple bikini wax and it was like asking the world. I called ahead of time and no one answered the phone. When I arrived the receptionist was discussing facebook with the tharapist! Finally when I was noticed I was told to wait as if they weren't ready. My waxing experience was OK. The tharapist took a really long time and when I came home I noticed she had missed some spots. When I went to pay the receptionist didn't even look at me or say thank you.

Lovely staff and lovely place - a little oasis in the middle of London! Pleased with waxing results, too - reccommended : ) Hairdressers upstairs looked really nice although I didn't try it!

I didn't like this venue. I arrived on time and waited for 15 minutes to see the therapist. They don't accept card for less than £10 but when hot wax is charged at a £5 premium they must have many voucher holding customers running to the local cash point.

I had two waxing treatments and they were far more painful than usual plus she didn't get all my leg hairs. The therapist kept talking to me claiming talking constantly worked in beating the pain for another customer . It's just not how I cope; it was a Brazilian so I didn't want to talk to her with everything on show. It seemed quite basic that no two people handle pain exactly the same.

I think the biggest grip I had was another staff member tried to get into the room I was in while I was half naked and then loudly complained outside the door to another staff member so much so the therapist had to cover me up and run outside to solve the problem.

I wouldn't recommend this place.

Situated within a room I'm the Portobello Green gym, it's definitely no frills, but good waxing at a great price with a very pleasant therapist. I've already been back again.

Do not go here for waxing, she puts a huge amount of wax on and on a large area. I might as well have gotten shaved because the hair didn't come out from the root because of this bad technique-and I get waxed regularly so it's not my hair.

I got the haircut and Moroccan Oil Treatment voucher. The haircut was really good-she was quite fast but got exactly what I wanted.

The 'Morrocan Oil Treatment' is a bit of oil on your hair after they've styled it- if they had asked me to pay £20 for that I would walk out.

My wife booked my appointment with serene spa in balham,after she raved about the crystal clear oxygen treatment she had enjoyed in january.The reason for her visit was to experience ,after reading an article that Kate Middleton had the crystal oxygen treatment leading up to her royal wedding to William.
My wife persuaded me to have a male intimate wax and massage , When i arrived i was given the grand tour of the spa, which was very impressive by a tall slim receptionist .The sauna and steam room were very clean and the whole ambience and soft music of the salon made me feel relaxed even before my treatment.
The waxing was carried out in by a very experienced therapist with speed and with minimal pain which was superb ,as my past experience in other salons has bordered on extreme discomfort.
From the beauty room i was transferred to a massage room with soft music and low lights.
My massage was carried out by a lady named charmagne for one hour ,and once again the treatment was superlative.
I then had a manicure carried out by a young lady who told me she had been woking at Serene for the past eighteen months she also was very impressive.
She guided me to the sauna and steam room and provided me with ice cold water from a water machine.
The whole experience was fantastic and cannot wait to return ,Thank you all at serene for making me feel so important Ken

I was really happy with my experience, I was given the opportunity to freshen up before my Hollywood with a baby wipe, which I think is a nice extra and puts you at ease and the treatment itself was quick and efficient.
The room was a bit on the small side within a hair salon but it was clean and had everything you needed including a sink so no real complaints there but hence why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I went with my husband and we both had a facial. The salon appears quite old and tired and a revamp is definitely needed. Rooms were only seperated by sliding curtains across which didn't feel very private. The room was also very cold so I refused a 15 min back massage already paid for in a package with a facial. The waxing was very thorough but uncomfortable in the cold.
The therapists were friendly and competent but as I was put off by the surroundings unfortunately I won't be returning.

I have been to Remedie Rooms twice in past 6 months. Firstly to get my facial done before my holidays and secondly to have my legs waxed (full leg plus bikini line). On both occasions I was treated with care and attention. My face was properly mapped before the facial treatment and I was very pleased with the result. Not to mention a lovely back massage followed by the hot mud wrap added to the treatment. I felt relaxed and pampered. As for the waxing it was done quickly, was almost painless and with very clean finish. Even though my therapist had a quite strong French accent she really tried to chat with me to take a focus off what she was doing, which was nice. Being a foreigner myself I noticed that people found my inability to express myself freely as a form of rudeness, as a lot of things I’d like to say are getting lost in translation.

I live in Clapham and go here roughly every 4 weeks to get my eybrows threaded and tinted, lip threaded and eyelashes tinted which normally costs me about £18 total. All of the eyebrow therapists are Indian which I like beacause I like a defined brow on the thick side like most Indian/Asian ladies (I don't care who you are, no one looks good with thin eyebrows, fact). They do a good job removing eveything right up close and I could probably stretch my 4 weeks to longer as my hair is quite fair so I am lucky in this respect you can't see my stray hairs here and there but I notice them and want then gone! A few times I have been scratched with the thread but I think this is expected with threading as its threads going over a sensitive area of your skin and it catches sometimes. In any event I have experienced this at other salons to so its a comon thing. Only once in the 8 months I have beeing going have I received a treatment I have not been happy with (brows were done too thin) and I have to let them back for a few weeks longer than normal. I now make sure I reiterate each time that I like my browns to be thick and I have not had a problem since. I have my favourite therapist now but if she is not working there are others that are great too. I have also never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen.

Very slick, professional service in a clean environment. The therapist was very friendly and the wax didn't take long at all. £5 for an underarm wax is fantastic value. Although the venue was very small (including the treatment room) I would return if I was able to find a similar deal in the future.

The therapist was really friendly. However when I went home I discovered the waxing wasn't good as she forgot some areas. It's still a good value for money though don't go there if you are planing to show off your bikini on the beach.

It has to be said this salon is not located in the most salubrious of premises. I experienced difficulty making contact with the salon to make an appointment and upon arrival there was some confusion over the time of my booking. The wax itself was very good and the therapists are friendly.

Very friendly atmosphere. I was offered some tea as I was waiting. The lady was fantastic, made me feel at ease, we talked a lot and this made me forget even the little pain I felt. She asked me to be involved (like stretch this part with my hands etc). I didn't mind it, even though I do prefer to just sit back and do nothing. In the end she asked me to check if there is any spot that is not ok. Everything was perfect. The results lasted more than usually and overall I am very happy.

It is always hard to find a good waxer but I have now found a great one. Very friendly and very good at what she does. I would definately recommend.

After reading many wonderful reviews about Goddess I and having recently moved to the area, I wanted to give it a go. I booked for a bikini wax and a 30 min back massage. Having been rudely greeting by the receptionship who later turned out to be the ower, I waited twenty minutes to be seen. During that time I was not offered a drink nor apologised due to the long wait. My therapist was charming and very good.On the webiste it clearly states a hot wax bikini treatment is £15. At the start of my wax I tlod the therapist what I wanted and after it was completed she told me I would have to be an additional £10 now. Had I had chosen to have the extension with the alternative wax it would have been no extra charge. This was not told to me. What a con. On top of this, my 30 minute massage was interupted by the owner knocking and opening the door. Disgraceful. I very kindly explained the situation to the owner at the desk who was exceptionally rude and simply told me that the info was on the wensite and i should have known about the additional cost. In terms of the wait well thats just the way it is sometime, quote. No apology nothing just that she would take the money out of the therapist wage if I refused to pay. When asked how she could be rude to new customers she implied she wasnt too bothered to have any new ones. I came out of there so streesed and unhappy, I would NOT return here for love nor money, the owner is a horrible woman who clearly values neither her staff nor customers.

Highly recommended. Painless and unique treatment, extremely professional and friendly staff, always a great consultation and aftercare advice, all at a very reasonable price. The Brazilian wax soothes the skin and is specially made by one of the salon beauticians themselves to a unique recipe; no other hair removal treatment can compete, the best I have ever had. The eyebrow treatment is also first rate. I have been a regular client since August 2011; it is always a pleasure to visit and will never go anywhere else.

I have visited The Therapy Suite in Victoria Park Plaza Hotel last week and it was an excellent experience! It's great value for money, great customer service, therapists are really caring and they make You feel as comfortable as possible. I had a great massage, the therapist did her best to release all the tension in my back and I left the room relaxed as never before! Great waxing treatment as well, I'm sure I will come back for my treatments there and I will recommend it to all my friends!

We chose the back massage which was very relaxing then we went for a swim and sauna afterwards we had lunch there which finished the morning perfectly a great day out

Even though the beauty rooms are tucked in the back of changing rooms the service is exteremly nice and preofessional and helful. I will definitely pay them a visit again.

I will certainly be using them again and would certainly recommend!! I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. My treatment was carried out by Miranda she was great ,she made every effort to make me feel comfortable and relaxed, she explained exactly what she was doing and was very professional - She did an excellent job, I was delighted with my waxing - she also gave me some great advice on some of the other treatments available.

Wow, where to start? This place is so nice I could spend my days there all day every day if I didn't have to go to work haha. The place is so relaxing and friendly even while waiting you have fun, we were offered a hot drink almost as soon as we walked through the door, we were very early as we were not sure of the exact location we had left home too early. But, we never felt a nuissance at any point it was almost as though we had been invited to a friends for a coffee. As we were both having various treatments (a real girly day) it meant we had the chance for a lovely chat with the ladies and even decided to have extra treatments as we loved the place so much. I live about 3 miles from the salon but I will gladly travel here on a regular basis as it is such a nice place and the treatments are of such high standards at excellent prices, we even had individual lashes for just £7.00! What more could I ask for? Please open one on my road! haha. See you soon Gem and co.

I saw Lauren at Kay and Kompany in Muswell Hill for highlights and a cut and blow dry, I explained that I'd been unhappy with previous colour - she sorted it all out brilliantly, was fast, friendly, very capable and I left with glorious blonde highlights. I recently went back to have a Brazilian keratin hair treatment and my waxing done with Kat, I'm really happy with the results. The place is clean, bright and all the staff were warm and welcoming. Will definitely keep going back and can highly recommend this hairdressers.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, the waxing treatment was very thorough, I would definitly return to the salon and reccomend it to friends. The opening hours are also very convenient if you are unable to do weekday daytimes.

This is my second visit to The Runway for a Brazillian. I was greeted with friendly and welcoming staffs and offered drinks during my wait. Had a new therapist this time and she was so lovely, made me felt really comfortable. We chatted all the way through the treatment, which helped me to forget all about the discomfort and pain! If you are looking for a place for waxing treatments or want to try somewhere new, I highly recommend this place.

I was really please with Bridget who did my hair, she listened to what I was looking for but gave me advice in an encouraging way at the same time - resulting in a cut I was really happy with. I am definitely going back there for my next cut as it was excellent value.

I was comfortable with my eyebrow wax, but I didn't like the way that therapist followed me to the till - I would have tipped my hair stylist but felt I was being watched a bit and so felt pressure to tip them both (when I was more impressed with the hair style)

Overall though a fantastic cut and enjoyable experience while I was having it done - thank you

I have never been able to get through to this place to book an appointment, so although the offer sounded good it has been a total waste of money so I wouldn't bother unless you can dedicate all hours of the day to keep calling them and leaving messages (to which they never reply)

I have visited this salon a few times and have always received the very best of service. Whether they are quiet or rushed off their feet, nothing ever seems too much trouble they seem to make time to be frindly and welcoming with evey customer. I most recently had my eyebrows waxed and some individual lashes by shemara (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) which were both excellent and really made me feel glam and ready to party.

I have also used the wobble plates during a class and on my own and find the classes are well worth booking in for as the staff are real experts in making me work the specific areas most of us women need ie bum and tum in my case.

I treated myself to a brilliant offer they had in store before xmas for a back massage and facial and I saw paige for these treatments. I must say I was very tense before the treatment and by the end I was so relaxed I could have fell asleep.

Whichever of the staff I have seen, they all seem to have the customers interests at heart and they all seem to really enjoy their job which makes each visit to gems a pleasure. Keep it up ladies!

As a first-time visitor to the city this was an exquisite salon comparable with the best - worldwide. The therapists were kind, thoughtful and irresistibly indulgent! Their aim was relaxation and enjoyment. The music was soothing. They offered my favourite chocolates! They were pleasant, friendly and super accommodating. A thoroughly enjoyable experience to be repeated as soon as possible!

The first time I went to this Salon was when I purchased a KGB deal voucher for a Luxury pedicure and manicure. The treatment was lovely and the staff was very professional. I took my friend along for a Thai massage and a manicure and she loved it! I am now a regularly customer in the salon and so is my friend.

I first visited this salon for a massage and facial with two of my friends. The staff were highly accomodating to the fact that we really wanted to book in together and went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable whilst waiting for each other to have our treatments. They offered us a drink upon arrival and offered more later even, happily, allowing us to get lunch and eat it there (not at all like some stuffy salons I have visited in the past where you are self concious the whole time) and as we enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to indulge in some other treatments whilst there.

They kept us relaxed and well cared for, during the duration of our visit, so we had so much fun, we didn't want to go back to the hustle and bustle of our real lives.

All of the products used are of a very high standard. This salon is staffed by really genuine, down to earth people, they are highly knowledgable and proffesional, while maintaining a freindly, fun and relaxed, enviroment.

I really hope that this establishment gets the credit it deserves and many, many, more people are lucky enough to enjoy a trip to this hidden gem!

This is one of the most painful braziliian waxes I've had, but the results made it worth it. The salon uses hot wax which I think should be essential in all waxing salons. The therapist was friendly and competent.

I liked the place a bit quirkey but relaxing will be good for massages, loved the music they played. Was very difficult to find hidden away, but that made it more private very hard to get in touch for appointment. hope this improves as would like to book for massage. Area can be a bit daunting

I've been having hollywood waxes for many years and have tried loads of different therapists since my regular one emigrated a few years ago, and this is definitely one of the best. The therapist was really thorough and didn't leave any random hairs. It was also very quick and about as painless as a hollywood can be!

My only negative comment is that I did have a few problems booking an appointment as the phone isn't always picked up.

I have experimented several salons in various locations and I must admit this one is one of the top 5 for me. Good therapist and good facilites, talks you trough everything, what wax is used etc. I would recommend.

This was my second visit to Zen Health and Beauty. The first time I went on a Wahanda deal, got the full hot wax treatment, wrote an amazing review. Yesterday, I paid double the price and was told they didnt have enough hot wax so she was going to use strips. I said I had a reaction to strips and she carried on anayway, saying she would only use a couple!

I am in a lot of pain today and there's pretty much nothing I can do about it. I went there again as it was the first time I had not had a reaction when having a bikini wax and expected the same treatment again. If you book a hot wax, surely they prepare enough hot wax?!? I think it was a timing issue. I think she just didnt want to spend the time.

So, Im assuming that if its your first visit, you will be given a proper wax, but I wouldnt go back!

The £25 deal for a hollywood and half leg lycon wax is incredibly good value. They were running a bit late, but the therapist Theresa was lovely and the use of lycon wax makes the procedure as painless as it can possibly be.

The salon is lovely and quirky and an ideal location for me and Theresa put me at ease during what is never the most dignified of procedures.

I will be back - even at full price it's decent value and they offer a number of loyalty option. I will also recommend to friends / colleagues.

The hair salon looks good too, so will be trying that soon, as being able to get all my 'bits' done in one location is appealing.

I have been to the salon before, one and the same lady treats me and she is great. I wen to for full waxing package and am very pleased with the qulity of work. The use the average wax which is good and the lady used different one for under arms as supposed to the one for legs and arms. It is a shame they do not do Hollywood or Brazilian but only lines.

Really nice, quirky salon, with pretty treatment room. The therapist was lovely and really put me at ease. The Lycon wax used is incredible; having the lowest pain threshold I was braced for it, but it barely hurt at all (less the my legs!), with fab results! Have my next appointment booked already!

Gem's is a small, welcoming and relaxed salon offering excellent value for money power plate fitness, beauty treatments and tanning. We've been visiting Gem's for a few months now, using the power plates 2-3 times per week and I've have also had waxing done. We had used another salon before finding Gems but the big plus for us is that at Gem's, after a few visits you can choose between instructed power plate classes or you can go in and 'do your own thing' if you prefer. There are lots of machines so it is never a problem getting booked in at a time to suit. The girls in the salon are always friendly and welcoming and are happy to offer advice and guidance on the treatments available. A great little salon - a gem of a find!

Handily located a 3 minute dash from the office, Metta is ideal for quick lunchtime grooming and has a serene and cosy atmosphere. The eyebrow wax itself was over in less than five mins, I usually have sensitive eyes but I had only minimal redness after the treatment.
Overall, I had a great experience and will be back.

THis is a lovely little clinic, situated just off the main roads of portsmouth. I've always found the staff to be very friendly here and more than willing to help you in any way they can. Their treatments are very good value for money and their staff are all highly skilled. A great place to visit and they're open till 8pm during the week so no excuses for not getting that must have treatment after a hard day at work.

I went to Jenny Lee's for a facial and leg wax with a really great deal from Wahanda, where I could have also chosen a manicure or pedicure. While the location itself would not win any awards for style - a small slightly cluttered room in a gym, Jenny was very friendly and instantly put me at ease. My facial was lovely and relaxing and my skin felt really smooth after, and my legs were lovely and smooth and fuzz free. I also really appreciated the fact that Jenny gave me some good health and beauty advice.

I'm totally shocked by the negative reviews on this salon. The staff are so friendly and jovial. The salon is clean and tidy with a welcoming and relaxed ambience. Phone calls are always answered courteously and professionally. I've been going to Radiance since it opened which is about 4 or 5 years ago now. That alone is an affirmation on the quality of service and professionalism.

I had a nasty experience getting waxed here that left me in a lot of pain for several weeks. I was also treated to some nasty behaviour when I made a complaint about the service. I've spoken to several people who have had similar experiences with pain, bad attitude and open bitchy gossiping from that specific member of staff. The haircut I had was excellent though, and great value...no complaints there

I had a Hollywood wax by Jenny and would definately recommend her for this type of intimate waxing. Right from the outset she put me at my ease and made the experience a pleasant one. Not only this but she was very helpful with how to get to the venue and transport info which was very well received. The only down side was that I had to wait 10mins after my appointment time but Jenny's manner more than made up for this. I would definately recommend her!

Sophia was such a lovely person and a great therapist. She was very meticulous and professional when doing my waxing and completely put me at ease when I had my eyebrows threaded for the first time. I recommend Sophia and will definitely go back to see her!

Had a Hollywood bikini wax here yesterday, was the best I've ever had. Extremely thorough, very professional and made me feel really comfortable. It was fast, efficient, effective and as painless as can be expected. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning soon.

I went to Dappa last weekend for my Bikini wax & under arm, which i had a voucher for.

i was greeted by the receptionist who showed me to the waiting area and took my coat. The shop is much bigger then it looks from the ouside.

i was greeted by my therapist Theresa who was very friendly she asked if i had been before and if i had waxing done, she was very warm and easy to talk to. I've never had a Lycon wax before but heard lots about it especially that it was less painfull or pain free for some!! I was quite skeptical as my pain threshold is quite low but i thought i would give it a go, plus it was a great price.

Theresa explained the process and how Lycon worked, then we got started to my surprise i wasn't jumping off the table it wasn't that bad, it wasn't pain free but it was no way near the stinging feeling i normally get. All in all i was happy with it and would definately go back.

Metta Urban Retreat is fantastic. The location couldn't get any better being in W1. The therapist was friendly, professional and thorough without making me feel uncomfortable! Quite important when having a hollywood!
I would definitely go here again.

Went in on an offer for a backcial and deluxe pedicure.must say was s bit wary goin into a home salon but my fears wer proved worthless as it was absolutely stunning and relaxing. Therapist sam was so proffesional and nothing ws too much for her.ended up having my brows waxed with hot wax which id never done before,wch surprisingly wasnt as painful as I thought.got myself a bargain and my own personal therapist!!

The place is below a tanning salon but easy to find. The therapist was kind and friendly but told me a few times that I can only speak almost whispering as there's another customer in the next room who is having a massage. When I was a little louder than that (Hollywood waxing does make you scream) she reminded me again and again which left me a bit upset.
She did half of the waxing with strips which hurts you more and not that effective than warm wax without the strip, straight on the skin.
My overall experience apart from this was pleasant, there was a nice ambient music, really relaxing atmosphere.

I went for my first brazillian wax here. As with all girls and their first brazillian, it makes you so nervous about the pain and the awkwardness! However, I didn't feel this way with my therapist as she was just so friendly and chatty...hence taking my mind of the pain during our chats. I would definitely recommend this place, especially with the offer two treatments for £30, is value for money. I am going back this week to have my second wax done. :)

After trying loads of places in the town I was over the moon to find Sassy & co, it's family run business that have won loads of national awards. I have to say, they pamper you well here and five stars is not enough. Reading the other review forced me to write this as all I can say is, this a brilliant salon! NEVER GIVE UP BEING SASSY!

Visited her for a Hollywood wax, and although the therapist was running late, she caught up and I wasn't delayed leaving.

At £25, its not cheap, but the end result was amazing. Painful, but no more so than anywhere else.

The salon is tucked away, and is a real retreat from the world. I will definitely be coming back!

I visited for a wax as a one-off to get ready for a holiday, something I do every year, although this was my first visit here. And my last!

The staff were rude, I wasn't given any paper knickers for my wax nor a towel to cover up with. Its embarrassing enough getting waxed down there, nevermind with everything on show!

I'll be finding another salon to use for next time.

I had already enjoyed a microdermabrasion offer from wahanda to that place and been happy about it, I didn't think twice when another offer for dermabrasion appeared. This time, I took the 3 session offer.
I had another therapist than last time but she was as nice and knowledgeable as the last time.
I killed 2 birds with 1 stone and had booked my microdermabrasion treatment with waxing (half-leg and brazilian). She was fast and thorough.

Lovely atmosphere in the salon, I was made to feel very welcome. Clean and very hygeinic. The Lycon wax was absolutely amazing. Have had various different Hollywood waxings in the past and this was by far the best, as painless as they can be and all the short hairs gone. The therapist was also excellent. She was obviously experienced and made the whole experience as relaxing as a wax can be! The half leg wax was also very good, despite the fact that I had shaved fairly recently, I was offered a free 'do-over' of my legs at my next appointment. Very happy customer.

I went to sarah just before i gave birth to my son , to make sure i was completely hair free . And she absoloutly delivered. She is always professional and ensures that you when you leave you are completely satisfied and already looking forward to your next treatment . I previously visited her when she was based in Welwyn Garden City , and now even though she has moved both me and my mother travel the extra 30 minutes to have sarah do our treatments . She is THAT good .

The place was excellenyt and easy to get to. The welcome was warm and good. The treatment wasn't spot on as when i left and came home i noticed there were patches of hair that had not been removed. I think this was down to the lighting not the therapist

I was really keen to try Strip, as it's so well known and sounded amazing, so when I moved to London it was the first place I called for a wax. It wasn't easy to get an appointment, even calling a few days in advance, the Soho branch was full, so I managed to get the last appointment at the St Paul's branch on a Thursday night. I wasn't overly happy about paying in advance, but was willing to do it to secure the appointment.

The location is pretty good, it's close to the tube, and the One New Change centre is very sleek and modern. The boutique itself is nice, and the waxing rooms I saw were beautifully decorated. The staff were nice, and my therapist was lovely.

HOWEVER, I wasn't given a choice of waxes, which they do advertise as part of the service, and I was sad about this, as I wanted to try the famous chocolate one. The wax was extremely painless, but when I got home I realised they'd missed quite a lot of hairs and if I hadn't been heading away for a few days I'd have been tempted to go back and complain (yes, it was that bad!) After a week, I had way more regrowth than I'd usually have, which left me wondering exactly what I'd spent more than £50 on!

I really wanted to like Strip, and the salon promises a lot, but it didn't really deliver for me. At such a premium rate, I expect a premium service, but they seem to have mastered the polish without getting the basics right.

Suela was very good, and the waxing was relatively painless. I have been to many places around London and this one was one of the better ones. I would definitely go back there again and suggest it to friends.

The ambience and facilities are basic , it's tucked away in the back of a Superdrug store but the therapist is awesome. She's lovely and doing a great job. Doing the hair laser removal now as it's a real value for money and I have amazing results, already after 1 treatment, which really (pleasantly) suprised me.

Went here a couple of days ago and had the Lycon hot wax hollywood and the normal wax on my legs, also paid extra for the Lycon armpit wax. Was amazing it literally didn't hurt at all and the lady is soo lovely! Definitely going back next time and am really satisfied with the results. I also bought a Lycon product that stops ingrowing hairs, am waiting to see how well it works :) Aysha x

The lady who carried out my treatment was great however we had to wait 30 minutes for the room and then was interrupted several times whilst i was on the table with others trying to get in the room - this i think should be reviewed as it didn't come across as very professional.

Highly recommend. I had a full leg wax, was painless as it possibly could be, the therapist was friendly and made the experience very enjoyable. Body silk is tucked away down a side street near Monument, the staff were very professional, the actual place is very clean and sterile, maybe could be a bit cosier to help make the clients feel more relaxed.

A friend sugguested I visit the Aesthetics Clinic , great location and great prices so I thought why not. Was initially apprehensive due to the low price but having been I would not hesitate to recommend them. Fantastic staff and service, I am also seeing tangible improvements after the laser lipo.
All in all, 10/10 and will be returning in the future

I had been to the Runway before for a back and shoulder wax and it was really good. This was a repeat run but the experience was altogether different. The (Chinese female) therapist seemed only concerned with doing as little as possible as quickly as possible and seemed indifferent, even amused, to the painful bits. Absolutely no aftercare information offered and very little communication during trhe treatment. Conclusion: nice place, but the treatment experience very much depends on who you get.

I would definatlt recommend Beautify! The facial was the best I've ever had!

I have been going to Essential beauty for over a year now and could not have received better service. I only get my eyelash extensions and infils done there and always get wonderful comments about how good they look. I have also had waxing, pedicures and long wear nail varnish applied and could not have been happier with any of the treatments I have had. Can't strongly recommend enough that you visit this salon as the treatments and the prices are amazing!

At last, an extremely reasonable priced venue bang smack in the heart of the City. Tired of paying extortionate prices just because it is the City of London. Went along because of their offer, was expecting a haphazard service because it was so much cheaper, but pleasantly surprised and will be back.

This was a great experience and I had to give a review to share what I have encountered at the Aesthetics Clinic London.
I purchased both the Laser Lipo and Waxing treatment during October 2011 which were both reasonably priced being in London. I got every penny’s worth and was happy with the whole experience, the professionalism of the staff, a clean clinic and most importantly the difference I noticed after each Laser Lipo session as an assessment was carried out to review my progress. The waxing treatment was not rushed and the therapist made sure it was done accurately using the right products where I did not have any problems after since I have sensitive skin.
Overall this is a great clinic to visit and you will get your money’s worth :-)

Although the salon is a bit out of the way, i highly recommend the place for waxing (since this is the only treatment i ve tried here).The beautician is quick and professional !!

I saw Jenny for waxing - full leg and a brazilian. Absolutely brilliantly thorough and she chatted all the way through, which distracted me from the brazilian. I wouldn't attend the salon for a relaxing treatment as I don't think that's Jenny's strength, but I'd definitely recommend her for waxing.

Hi i have been to this salon and its lovely! Nice friendly service :-) at selinas nails there are so many different nails designs & art to pick from for every occasion/outfit. I also am very pasty pale skinned and selina really knew her stuff on tans to find the right solution for me so i looked a nice bronze colour instead of "typical fake tan orange" . I would really suggest trying it out! good price & quality i rate 5/5.

Hi have just visited the Salon for the first time today and I have to say everything was perfect!

First of all, Theresa. She is great at what she does and treated me very well since the moment I came in.

She used a new type of wax that I have never tried before: Lycon So Berry and it was A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!! I have a Hollywood waxing done every 3-4 weeks and I have never experienced such a nice one! This type of wax is much less painful, I am not exaggerating if I say I would rate it 2 out 10 in a scale of how painful it is!

PLEASE LADIES, do yourself a favor and try it!!!! you will fall in love with it and never go back to just hot waxing!!!

The therapist, Maria was fantastic. She actually came to my house but turned up with loads of equipment so I didn't feel I lost out with a home-visit service. I have been a regular at The Beauty Lodge for coming up to two years now and consider it to be like my second home. The therapists never disaapoint no matter what treatment I receive and you can't go wrong with their prices being such good value.

The personal service I receive there is like no where else I know... I have already recommended it to all my friends who have now also become regulars and do not have a bad word to say about The Beauty Lodge.

It sounds very cheesy but there are no words to describe just how lovely the place and the people are at The Beauty Lodge... it is a pleasure being one of their regulars.

Nice looking salon and very good OPI manicure. Convenient location in Soho. Great value for money. I was moved between three different rooms which wasn't ideal, and the rooms were very small and not particularly relaxing. Someone was also having a pedicure in the corridor.

KCUK has a lovely atmosphere and a fantastic decor. All the staff were courteous and friendly, the member of staff who did my waxing really put me at ease. The waxing was the best I've ever had !! I would recommend this place and will be going back again soon !!!

I normally go to solace spa for eyebrow wax and have been very impressed. In particular a therapist called Stacey is amazing. However, I have just had an eyebrow and upper lip wax and I am not impressed! I had to come home and pluck lots of stray hairs and my eyebrows are completely uneven; I look stupid! I am going to have to leave them to grow to have them evened out.

So, I went to this really quaint little salon on the reccomendation of a friend. When I called to get prices on services, I was pleasantly surprised. I scheduled an appointment with Laurie for some waxing and a pedicure. The salon atmosphere was down to earth, friendly and professional. Laurie was an absolute delight and she did a great job...so much so, that I booked a facial with her the next day and had my hair colored and cut with Adrienne. I love my new color and cut! I would definately reccomend Adrienne and Laurie for any hair or skin services you need.

I bought a voucher for a hair cut and style but had to book on line,. The on line system only books 30mins for a 1 hour haircut, so they called my a day before to cancel my appointment. I rthen re booked this appointment when the therapist called to cancel but when I checked on line (lucky I did!) it had been booked on the wrong day. I had to then change the booking myself on line. I was then called on the day and told that the stylist was off sick and they needed to re schedule my appointment. I emailed them to try and re schedule but no response. I have now found out that the Regent Street salon is now closed! I have to now chase them for a refund as they dont even have the courtesy to refund customers who havent had their treatments!

I have also used O Spa canary wharf for treatments and their therapists are not very experienced at all so the treatments are well below the standard I would expect. Once I had a mani /pedi booked but the nail technician was not in that day so instead another therapist who never does mani/pedi's did my treatment! I wouldnt use them again. O Spa seem to think they can treat their customers in this manner but how muh longer will they get away with this for? They have terrible reviews and there is good reason for this.
I have been to small salons that dont have the ambience but they provide a great service and excellent treatments. There are far too many salons out there to choose from and O Spa need to make BIG improvemnts to stay in business!

My therapist was excellent and I had a great experience and would go back to her but unfortunately she was only brought in to work through a busy period and will only be there another week! It's a shame as i would definitely go back to her but would not be sure if the other therapists would be up to standard.

I went for hot wax bikini: therapist worked very fast, which is OK and less painful, but she did not get rid of all hair, which make the whole experience pointless.
The offer was for two areas on the same appointment, I have just done one but they still charge me £10 extra for using hot wax. They could have just omit extra charge, because they saved from not doing second area.
She was rushing, saying that they have got tight schedule, but salon was empty.
Overall, they have missed the point that they have to attract new customers from the first visit and not try to squeeze extra pound from them. Even I got extra £100 for hair treatment from same voucher at this salon, I do not think that I will be back.

Really superb. Theresa was a fantastic beauty therapist, completely put me at my ease. A very fast and painless wax with a perfectly smooth finish.

I have already recommended her to my friends, and I urge you all to visit her! I will certainly be returning, even without the offer.

Staff were very polite. Salon was clean. The deal was very good, £20 for two waxing treatments plus £100 worth of hair vouchers.
When it came down to it there was an additional £5 charge for hot wax (as opposed to strip wax) and it was far too hot which was very uncomfortable and very thin, which means lots of layers must be applied, prolonging the discomfort and in the end it felt like the hair was being yanked out rather than smoothly waxed off.
Also the £100 voucher for hair products was never mentioned and as I was pushed for time I didn't ask about it.
I don't think I would go back there.

I went along for a brazillian wax. The staff were really friendly, and the waxing was very quick - which certainly saves on pain!! I'd visit again for a wax.

Neroli is a little bit of heaven. Every therapist is professional and personable and meets the needs of their clients. I have been to many beauty salons but this is definately the best.

Having just moved to London, I wanted to find a place where I felt comfortable, where the price was reasonable and the service impeccable. And that's what I found. Theresa was amazing, very fun, professional and quick. I'll be back for sure.

I have been going to Jill Kelly for a number of years and am always delighted with the results. I have gone to Jill for a range of treatments including massage, waxing and IPL laser hair removal. The ladies at Jill Kelly make you feel so welcome and completely comfortable, no matter what your treatment is. The surroundings and decor are serenely beautiful, by far the best I have been to in Scarborough, and all of the facilities and procedures are incredibly hygienic and thorough. I highly recommend Jill Kelly as a beauty clinic.

I made a booking at this salon in good time and unfortunately was delayed vastly by the underground service to my treatment. I called en route to say there had a been a problem on the transport system and found the gentleman unhelpful and rude. In he end, I only had 15 minutes to spare for my tretament and decided not to bother having had a nightmare journey from herts to Soho and a very rude male reception/owner.

Clearly, it was o-one's fault maybe except my own but the rudeness received was unacceptable and I wouldn't bother going even if they gave me free treatment(s) for the year.

I was initially put off a little from this Salon as I had a bit of an issue booking my appointment - the person on the phone was very dismissive when I said I had seen the Wahanda offer and refused to let me book an appointment before I had paid for the voucher (even though they didn't ask for the number when I did already book it). As I was really on a budget and looking for a new salon I thought I'd try it anyway because the reviews were really good.
The salon is very cool and funky and I was offered a cup of tea on arrival. My therapist was lovely- very friendly- and fit me in after my appointment time as I had been stuck on a late train coming into London which I was very grateful for. Unfortunately she is not the person who normally does the waxing (she told me this herself) and has little experience with Lycon. It looked ok at the salon but at home I noticed it wasn't as thorough as it should be for a Brazilian - there was quite a lot left underneath and at the back. I might go back if there's another deal and the person who usually works with Lycon is on but otherwise not sure I'd return.

The overall experience was satisfactory and the therapist was brill. I had to wait for 25 mins to get my treatment which was a bit annoying. I wasn't happy with the moisturiser they used after the waxing but it wasn't a big deal..

I had waxing down at the Body Silk Aesthetic Clinic which was inside a room that looked more like an office than a treatment room so it did feel a little weird. Whilst the therapist was very thorough I did feel that their specialty was more focused on laser hair removal and other treatments as such.

I've been looking good place for hollywood waxing for ages, and THIS is the place. Receptionists are very polite and helpful. The lady who does the waxing is very proffessional and really does great job, Im very pleased with her sevice and keep on going there.

It was really good. I used the voucher but will def go back. The space is really nice and clean and the beauty therapist was excellent. The wax she uses is amazing.

Despite a slightly annoying start (the therapist called me a day before my appointment to say she had to cancel because she had a doctor appointment), I have to say I was happy with the treatment.
Since I had to re-arrange my schedule to fit the new time I was a bit in a hurry but I still had time to admire the place! The beauty salon is situated in a very heterogeneous shop: part cloth shop, part hair-dresser. Very nice decoration...
Teresa the beautician was lovely, professional and fast (since I had to dash). She did miss one little strech of hair on my leg but she rushed for me so I won't take it into account. And the Lycon hot wax for the bikini is a blast: it does make it less painful!
Definitely recommend!

It was not the best Brazilian or upper lip wax that I've had - I had to 'tidy up' the missed hairs at home that evening. I also did not get my £100 hair vouchers. I was not encouraged to stick around, however the salon was clean and the therapist was nice.

Really good value deal. Nice therapist and salon ok. Quite difficult to book. You have to leave a message and they call you back and arrange an appointment. But with Wahanda really good value!

The Salon needs to be signposted more as took me a while to find it as it wasn't a shop front like i expected, it was a door around the back of the shops with a buzzer to press to be let in. Whilst my therapist was really nice, she informed me she wasn't qualified to do a brazilian wax even though i had booked for a brazillian wax days in advance and given i was going on a summer holiday the next day, left quite frustrated.

Lovely therapist, very down to earth and she put me totally at ease. The hot wax was great - the first I have had and much nicer than strip wax. The therapy room itself is tiny but fine for the purpose and is very cute located at the back of a hairdresser come clothes shop.
