My treatment with Gregory Cartwright occurred every other month. I found sugaring to be much less painful than waxing and his treatments for nose, ear, and eyebrows were excellent.
In the last year, I found his facials, chemical peels and scrubs to likewise be the perfect compliment to good male grooming!
Greg Cartwright is nothing short of fantastic. Greg has been an enormous part of me feeling better about myself, and my finding genuine happiness. I began seeing him in early 2010 during a particularly difficult time in my life (divorce). I quickly learned that Greg was indeed an expert in body grooming and appearance - things that I had not focused on all that much. I have been a regular monthly customer for body sugaring (back, shoulders, private areas), for body hair trimming (chest, etc.), chemical peels and facials, eyebrow waxing, nostril and ear hair removal, and massage. I cannot say enough about Greg's knowledge in all of these areas. My appearance has improved dramatically -- people have noticed, and I've noticed. And I feel incredibly good about it.
More than that, Greg has always made me feel comfortable. Imagine a senior financial executive visiting for the first time for body sugaring - nervous, embarassed, etc. Greg made me feel at ease. He instinctively knew how to help me -- both with my appearance, and with the nonsense going on in my life. He listened, gave great advice, shared stories -- all the while taking care of my body. Greg is also knowledgable in other areas of grooming. I have taken more than one of his recommendations with respect to other professionals.
In short, I cannot recommend Greg highly enough. He is a master of his craft, and a terrific person.

In April 2011, I went back to them because I had a great experience the last time doing a Bikini hair removal. I had been told to wait 6 weeks before doing anymore hair removal and so it was now time for another session. I also decided to let them do my underarm as well. Again the staff and therapist were great. My therapist was polite and friendly and I experienced little pain for both bikini and underarms. She also did a thorough job by using tweezers to remove any missing hair. Again, I would recommend them for the great service that they provided!
On March 2011, I went to Xit Body Hair Removal to get a sugaring in my bikini area. I had tried waxing, trimming and shaving but those didn't work well and only irrated my skin. I had heard and read that sugaring was more natural and less painful. I had tried sugaring at home but it was too messy and not properly done so I decided to go and get a Bikini Plus. My therapist was very friendly and did a very great job of sugaring and then trimming the area. We also had some chit chat so I didn't feel uncomfortable but she worked a bit too quickly so it was a bit painful at times however, she was thorough. I was also informed to wait 6 weeks for the full hair cycle to occur before doing any more hair removal in that area. She also provided useful tips on what to do to keep the area free from ingrown hairs and to reduce irritation. I would recommend them to anyone who want a less painful and cleaner hair removal!
Fantastic treatment! Therapist was incredibly friendly, and very professional. I'm not sure it hurt any less than a normal leg wax, but she was incredibly fast at pulling off the strip so the 'pain' doesn't last for long. Would happily go back and recommend to friends.
Ive been going to X-it since purchasing a Mob deal about 6 months ago and simply cannot fault them in any way. Brilliant service and the most thorough wax ive ever had! Love the sugaring as well, no ingrown hairs at all which is a change from normal waxing. You can tell they know their stuff and offer excellent value for money! I wouldnt go anywhere else now!!
Clean and peaceful treatment rooms, staff that puts you at ease...just wish they would use hot wax instead of sugaring as it takes a bit too long to get a Hollywood done.
I was please to find out on my second visit that the staff remembered me - it is nice to feel valued. The treatment rooms are very peaceful and the waxer puts you at ease.
For my first visit to XIt Body Hair Removal, I took advantage of a £10 Brazilian mobdeal and wasn't sure what to expect from their website - I really wondered what I was getting myself into!
But I was happy to find that the facilitiess were perfectly decent, and the staff was friendly and helped put me at ease, which is important when you have to take your pants off. I was however surprised to discover that the deal was for sugaring and not hot wax. I had never heard of sugaring, and while it is an interesting technique, I don't understand why anyone would choose using it over hot wax - it is more painful and takes much longer. I wouldn't want to pay full price for this.

I went along to X-it to have a regular bikini wax. I'd never actually had one done professionally before, I'd always done it myself, which was a total faff. I was met by Tracy and she was really friendly and put me totally at ease, talking all the way through the treatment which was a good way of distracting me! It was really quick and straightforward and I liked the fact that the sugaring is so natural - it's been done for 1000s of years after all!
I would definitely go back again as the regular prices are very reasonable too!
I used the MobDeal voucher I bought from Wahanda for my visit and first time at sugaring....The ambience was nice, clean and even a little space for putting your bags and clothes, the techincan was awesome! A wax is never painless and enjoyable but she did everything to ensure I was relaxed. Definately less pain than ususal and I will certainly go back!
Very friendly staff, great job done. It is a little tricky to find as not on the A-Z in an obvious place but nice and friendly people, clean and welcoming surroundings. First time I had tried sugaring, and I prefer it to waxing.
Really impressed. The therapist was excellent and thorough. The sugaring was a great natural alternative to waxing and I had a mobdeal voucher so it represented excellent value. I will definitely be returning.

A wax is never fun, never painless and never exciting. That is something I have become used to, however this salon made it almost pleasant.
The majority of the experience was pain free and they made sure there wasn't a hair left. I mean literally, you ask for a brazillian and you sure as hell get one unlike some other places I've been.
The staff were friendly and the facilities clean and comfortable.
I have already booked my next appointment. The only negative point is that it was priced pretty much the same as everywhere else - I want it cheaper! ;)
I have been a regular customer there since 2000, so I do feel strangely at home amidst the relaxing & tranquil setting of this delightful place, and it somewhat transports me into an oasis of calm----staff are caring and helpful and go the extra mile to ensure my comfort and well being, so can't praise them enough, especially Sean Miller and Tracey Miller, I would describe Sean as a good listener, we chat effortlessly and so before I know it, I'm off on my way having spent a relaxing half hour there---
I bought the MobDeal voucher from Wahanda and decided to give sugaring a go. XIt is a small shop but the rooms are modern and clean and even have a closet to put your things which is more than I can say for most salons. My technician was very nice and explained the sugaring process since I was a first timer. It is slightly different from waxing but I think might be less painful. The whole process was efficient and well executed. When I reemerged after my treatment, I was told that all of my details were in the system, that I would not have to ask for the treatment over the phone (great for the office) if I was having the same treatment, as well as the time the treatment took and the price they had decided to charge me. I was blown away. What a well-oiled machine! I will most definitely return.
I have been coming here for over a year now. Sean and the team are great. They help you feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you walk into the salon. Sean's attention to detail is excellent, the salon is always clean and tidy which makes every visit excellent.
Sean is very professional and punctual with appointments and makes the whole experience as welcoming as possible. I have back sack and crack sugared every 6 weeks and love the smooth feeling afterwards. The salon is great – modern, clean and good music. I highly recommend it.

I have been having Sugaring treatments with Sean at X-it since the late 90's and always found him to be a real professional. The shop itself is very clean and the staff great. I always feel that my well being is paramount and always look forward to my six weekly Sugaring. After waxing i find the sugaring process less painful and my skin feels cleaner.
Comfortable surroundings and great, professional service - embarrassment free tackling of my most intimate parts! Low pain levels - and worth it for the great result. I'd recommend this place for anyone who's shaggier than they want to be.

The front of house is very relaxed and the staff are very discreet and make you feel at ease.

this was my first time at this place due to recommendation from a friend. i found the staff very friendly, welcoming and completely knowledgeable. i was nervous as it was my first time. i had a back sack and crack sugar treatment and it felt so nice. it was virtually pain free and so smooth afterwards.
Sean has been sugaring me for over 12 years now. When Sean and Tracey set up the X-it! salon in Soho they created a super smart, super professional environment which is warm and welcoming. I come once a month to have my back, bottom and anus sugared. Sean always does a good job, he's professional and puts me at ease each time. He takes great care to do a good job leaving me totally hair free - he always goes over each area with tweezers to make sure that I'm hair free and there are no ingrowing hairs left. I've been sugared by both Sean and Tracey and they're both brilliant. Everyone who works at X-it! are friendly and welcoming - they are always pleased to see you and the booking system is always spot on. X-it! is in a great location in Soho - close to the tube stations and shops. It's an oasis. I would recommend X-it!, epsecially if you are new to sugaring and feel concerned - Sean and Tracey and their team will look after you.

I have had regular monthly hair removal for over 20 years,the first 13 years i had some good traditional waxing treatments and some terrible treatment..........
All that changed when I started to see Sean 7 years ago,not only is he brilliant at sugaring (which is soooo much better that traditional waxing - if you've never had it , DO !) but he is also very professional and attentive which is important with such a personal service.
I have reccomended him to loads of my friend over the years and will continue to do so - saying that, I have had other team members when he has been on holiday and the results have been consistantly great !
This was my 2nd visit to the salon and I have to say it is the best i have ever encountered (and i have had a wax or 2 in my time). i am not the most relaxed person in the world when it comes to this but Tracey makes me feel 100% at ease and is always really freindly and chatty.
Attention to detail is brilliant- I come out feeling a million dollars!

I've been coming to X-IT for too long to remember, the staff are always friendly and approachable, the venue in the perfect spot just on the edge of the heart of Soho and value for money great!
I normally have a back crack and sack, the treatment is comfortable, with time (the decade near enough) its become easier...
So all I sugggest is to come along and try it for yourself...

The new premises are much nicer and you can have a sit in the garden while your waiting - v chilled.
Sugaring is so effective and less painful than other methods.
I don't think you'll find better value in Central London.
