As an injured dancer panic set in. I enquired in the store, while buying a few things there, about someone they could recommend to help.

David Thunder is an Osteopath who treats with acupuncture and massage therapy. He treats numerous dancers, including those at a very high level.

It was reassuring that I could explain details of technique and how they were affected by my injury and he understood completely. A dancer's world is a complex relationship of their body/mind/art, so this understanding is paramount.

He was analytical in his method and showed a deep understanding of his work. He explained the premises by which he worked so that I could leave and aide myself in my own recovery too.

Suffice to say I am 98% recovered and can get on with my auditions. Happy to be pain-free again!

When I booked my appointment, I was suffering from continued stiffness in my lower back, but by the time the appointment came round, I was much better - which was typical! However, I explained my conditions and the cause, and after examination, Daniel pinpointed the reason behind my back's reaction to certain activities, and what types of activity I need to avoid in future - which is very useful to know, and recommended some back strengthening exercises.

The venue also offers tailor-made physio classes with a speciliast advisor, which is good as a follow-on from the osteopathy session. Unfortuntely, I live too far away from the venue to make this possible, but I will begin some back strenghtening exercises by joing a local pilates class.

I hadn't tried Osteopathy before - I would definitely recommend it after this. The quality of the treatment was great, everyone was very professional and I had no problems making my booking etc so I'm a very happy customer!

I went for 1hour osteopathy session. Harriet, my therapist, was great. Firstly, she assessed the condition of my back and then sorted the knots out and released a lot of tension from my neck and the most tender parts of my back. I'd definitely go back.

This was an extremely valuable session, I feel so lucky to have had such a good treatment. Thorough, enjoyable and I felt amazing after. Wonderful therapist who took the time to address all my symptoms and made my treatment very beneficial.

I had extreme pain in my right thigh during the night. The pain was so bad that my sleep became disrupted and I had a lot of trouble going down stairs and steps. On my first visit I was told my muscles were degenerating and the treatment should help. To my surprise after my first visit, I felt a lot better and after 4 treatments, I was pain was free. :) I would definitely get all my treatments from avosteopath.

Therapist was good but the location is difficult to find and not very relaxing (i.e. the basement of a hotel gym) I understand they have moved so maybe the new venue is better. I did not get around to doing the pilates class though

I was very pleased with the treatment I received. My therapist took a detailed history before starting any treatment and when he did do the treatment he explained all that he was doing. The only downside was the location. I was not able to get into the gym area at first until someone came by and swiped me in, and then had to wait sitting on a treadmill by myself wondering if I was in the right place! Also some patient gowns would be useful for privacy, otherwise come prepared!

Disappointed that I couldnt have the osteo and pilates at the same time. Hence, I will not be able to take up the offer of the pilates class as too far away. Would have been helpful to know that it was situated inside a hotel, as this was not stated or even mentioned when booking.

This is the second time I have been to Ambition and like the first time I was thoroughly happy with the treatment on my back and shoulders. I was a little surprised by the cupping as I wasn't expecting it and i think in future it would be good to get a warning before as it leaves you with massive bruises on your back – not good if you were about to go on holiday or something! But still i wasn't so it wasn't a big deal.

All was good but as I don't live local I wanted to book a Pilates class & Osteo session on the same day - which they couldn't do as they work different days. The Pilates class was only avail on Tues @ 1-2pm. Not a good time for most people due to work. If I'd know that as the time of booking I woudn't have booked.

I just went for a general check up and everything was fine, though the osteopath did give me some stretching exercises to do which was helpful. He did do a few stretches on me to re-align etc, but said I didn't need to come back for anything. He was friendly and helpful and it was a good experience all round.

The osteopathy session was good, however I found that several sessions were required, and the initial session was really just a consultation, which I guess was expected. When I went back a second time, I felt like we went through a second consultation before really doing some work on my problems.

The osteopath who dealt with me was gentle, very efficient and seemed to know what she was doing. The venue was slightly loud with vibrations coming from upstairs, but that didn't bother me.

I was really looking forward to my osteopathy session but i was disapointed when i arrived and saw the treatment room. The room was tiny and was like a cupboard, it didn't feel like a proper treatment room. The therapist was nice but he took so long trying to find out what the problem with my hip was that he didn't spend hardly anytime on trying to help it. He spent less than five minutes giving it a rub and then told me to do some excercises. I was expecting him to give me more of a cracking or manipulation of the muscles. The treatment was also interupted a couple of times by people knocking on the door, it was loud where people were working out in the gym just outside the room. Overall i wasn't very satisfied with the treatment and wouldn't recommend it or go back.

The osteopathy session with Ian was thorough and the treatment helpful. I have been to other osteopaths for the same (shoulder) problem in the past and didn't expect to learn anything new but I did: it was very professional, insightful and I feel that I can improve my shoulder's condition. It was a hoilstic diagnosis and Ian advised me on other parts of my body that were linked to my shoulder problem. The pilates class with Charlie was a workout and the price reasonable - the floor mats weren't big enough though but that didn't affect the session. The class is suitable for all levels: great for a beginner and slightly gentler for someone advanced. Charlie did say that as the classes went on and people become more experienced, she would add different exercises.

This session was good at getting to the root causes for my aches and pains in my neck and back. I followed up the initial session with some further sessions. The Therapist was very knowledgeable and good at explaining things to me. The only negative comment i would have would be about the room in which the session was held, it was not very comfortable and there was a very annoying sound coming from the air conditioning unit.

I have had a lot of trouble with my shoulders in the past but the treatment was fantastic it loosened all my knots and the therapist showed me exercises I could do each day to reduce tension in the long run. Would recommend Ambition Clinic to all those with back trouble.

I had a very good introductory osteopathy session. The Pilates session is a group session to be attended when they hold the classes. The osteopath was pretty thorough and I would go for a follow up session. All in all, I would probably recommend this treatment as an introduction with a view to following it up, not as a one off.

The medical check up took a long time and the treatment was similar to the treatments I currently have with my physiotherapist. I thought the treatment would be similar to that of a Chiropractor but it wasn’t and I didn’t feel I benefited in any way from it.

This was the money wisely spent. My body ached for a whole week after this ostheopathy session, but the main thing was done: the position of the vertebra which went out of its normal place was fixed - and this is achieved in one session only! For the special price of £25. No push for extra visits, or unnecessary course of treatments, - which (as anyone would agree) at other places may be pretty annoying. Also the therapist gave me good advice and list of stretches to keep my back better. I feel much much better now. 100% recommended!

I have had an ongoing problem with my back & shoulder for many years. Harriet was my therapist - she was on point, really seemed to know her stuff and has made some positive suggestions about the way forward including a daily stretching routine.

I would definitely go back again if/when needed and pay full price.

I have had a lot of osteopathy recently and I was throughly impressed with Lee who treated me. He took his time to throughly listen and do the treatment and also gave me very good advice and help for the future. I would highly recommend seeing him if you have back problems.

the therapist really made an effort to get to know the problems during the consultation, was very thorough in the treatment -explaining what he was doing and why. which we really valued- and gave pointers to sustain improvement. We felt much better after the session!

I have had a recurring neck and shoulder injury and have been to many Osteopaths. I must admit that the premises were not that fancy but as I was there for the treatement, that was spot on. Very good understading of my injury and excellent treatement. Highly recommended.

The therapist was professional, friendly and diagnosed the problem, which was hypermobility. It has been previously diagnosed so she was spot-on as far as that's concerned. The treatment was great and helped ease some of the pain in my back. I would definitely go again. Great for those who train regularly.

We had a good ol chat about my history of aches and pain etc, and then he had a look and worked on my problems.
I had an issue with my knee which he worked on, and did feel worse the day after (cos he was poking it etc) but a few days after that i noticed a real improvement.
I went back the following week to work on my pelvis.

I booked this session to treat a bad shoulder and hip. I felt so much better afterwards and will definitely be booking another session. Harriet was my therapist and she was great - really strong and knew what she was doing. Best £25 i've spent in a long time...

I bought this Wahanda voucher for my boyfriend who has had back problems for a number of years which have never really been corrected. When I booked the appointment the staff member was very friendly and efficient and I could tell just form talking to him that he was very knowledgeable. I met up with my boyfriend after the treatment and he was extremely happy - the therapist comprehensively explained to him why he was experiencing his ongoing back pains and provided him with exercises he could do at home to help them. He highly recommends the clinic and will be returning!

I had rather a tricky journey getting to this place - many roads were closed and I ended up being 10 mins late and very stressed. All the stress slipped away when I met my osteopath Dellus. He was fantastic and with loads of experience- he didn't even cut 10mins off my treatment ! I have long standing back and hip problems and he found them straight away. He also recomended some really helpful exercises and vitamins. Top marks.

I have been for many osteopathy treatments in the past so knew what to expect from an Osteopath. My therapist, Harriet, was very professional and seemed to know exactly what to ask about my previous treatments. I had an excellent 45 mins of deep work and felt very good after the session. The facilities are a little "run down" but I would def go back for more treatment.

I haven’t been to an osteopath before so I don’t have anything to compare it against. However, I was expecting for adjustments or cracks to take place and that wasn’t the case. Apart from cracking my neck by turning it left and right – something which my physiotherapist has done in the past, the osteopath didn’t do anything else & I didn’t feel better or different when I left.

I have never been to an osteopath before, so i really didn't know what to expect, but i was very pleased with my 'assessment'. The venue is very conveniently located, nearby Victoria station. My therapist was very professional, proactive, i felt at ease and he suggested further exercise that i could implement myself. Altogether a positve experience.

Belsize health has provided me with some amazing experiences in various therapies. I have been visiting them since roughly 2006 and it is because of such a positive outcome with one of their hypnotherapists that I took it up for myself (he sadly no longer works there).
Their osteopath sorted out a back pain in literally one session, and their massages have always provided comfort, depending on what your needs are they always recommend the appropriate masseuse.
This is one of those places that you can walk into and always find a treatment that will help you out as they offer so much.
Though the facilities and ambience are quite plain and simple, I can see that this is because they put all their energy into the great quality of therapists and treatments.

Not too terribly difficult to find and therapist was really friendly. Wasn't expecting it to be as intense as it was, and not sure what they usually feel like, but if I have back issues again I will go there for their help!

It was really good, even though I only went for a quick 15 min consultation I wasn't expecting to have my back cracked and everything, just prodded and poked, but she fixed me! I bought the recent MobDeal to go back for a full consultation and will definitely be going back again!

I went along to the reflexology trial course and thought it was brilliant. I do not remember the man who treated me, but he was a japanese man, he had been doing this for over 20 years and I found him friendly and helpful.

After my reflexology treatment I had an osteopathy session booked with Harriet. She was amazing! Extremely helpful and full of knowledge. She analysed my body and pointed out my right knee was slightly twisted, which I I now realise was caused when I dislocated my knee 2 years ago. She suggested exercises which would strengthen my knee, she also gave me a very good massage on my right shoulder and eased my back pain. At the end of the session she cracked my back bones and I really did feel amazing when I left.

I would definately go again, and recommend harriet too!

The osteopath was professional and helpful, she took a good look at my back and gave me some good advice on what I was doing wrong, and some exercises to try and help my back pain. Finished off with a relaxing massage. Back feeling much better now, and would definitely recommend them.

I bought this for my husband who suffers with back problems. He has seen many Osteo's over the years but Harriet at Ambition is the best by far! Highly recommended and he will be returning as and when his back dictates it. Excellent value even at the full rate. You get the full half hour unlike a lot of places where ,as we all know, you end up only getting about 22/23 minutes for a half hour massage.

I have known Jeff for some 20 years initially as a personal trainer and more latterly as somebody who has helped me overcome various problems as I get older. I am currently seeing Jeff and Toby, the osteopath, to help me overcome knee problems and get me ready to tackle one of the toughest walks in Europe, the GR20 in Corsica, in June. I am now nearly 67. I have no hestitation in recommending Ambition Fitness who are very professional and ensure they keep themselves up to date with latest techniques in the health and fitness industry.

I was a dedicated client of Ambition Fitness between August 2008 and April 2009, when I moved out of London. Originally I went for osteopathy, which was very effective and almost immediately brought improvement in the issue I was treating. I moved onto personal training with Jeff, which was excellent and I would recommend to anyone. I had for years been stuck in a rut, using the cardio machines every day at the gym. But, with a new routine, customized for my personal situation I was able to build core strength, flexibility and improve my overall fitness. For the first time in years I saw real change in my overall body (posture and muscle tone), and started to feel great about myself!

After a gruelling year of major surgery, chemotherapy and radio therapy, I went to Ambition Health and Performance. With great knowledge and patience, they have worked with me on a step-by-step program which has enabled me to resume all my normal activities. Went to Ambition with chronic back pain caused by a bulging disc. Very attentive and intelligent treatment. The issue was dealt with very effectively and it was also a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

After putting it off for a very long time i finally made an appointment to see an osteopath about an ever present pain in the neck and shoulders. I was a little anxious as i didn't know any one who had had a treatment with an osteopath at The Happiness Centre. My appointment was with Tim Howard and i must say i was very happy with his work.

Tim conducted a thorough consultation with me followed by a full physical examination. He then explained clearly what the treatment would involve and went through the process of each manipulation before carrying it out. This was good for me as i have had osteopathic treatment before where the therapist did not explain what they were doing and it can be quite an alarming experience.

Another thing i noticed was the treatment involved a lot of soft tissue work before any spinal manipulations were carried out.

I feel much better and i was not told i had to go back every week for a block of treatments. If i have another problem that needs this type of treatment i would go back to Tim.
