My maid of honour and I got our makeup done here for my wedding. I am so so happy with the service and professionalism from the therapist and staff. Both our make ups looked stunning! Thank you for making me look a million dollars for my big day.

PLEASE NOTE - THIS REVIEW PERTAINS TO REVOLVE STUDIOS IN CHELTENHAM AND NOT IN CARDIFF! Unfortunately the site didn't offer a way for me to review the Cheltenham branch. I purchased a Groupon voucher for family shoot plus makeover for one. I went with my husband and 2.5 year old daughter. I had the makeover. My hair didn't look too bad, but my make-up was very unprofessionally done (I could've done a better job myself) and this just put a damper on things from the word go! The photographer had no idea how to interact with children, which left my husband and I concentrating more on getting our daughter to enjoy herself than smiling at the camera - very disappointing! The photographer could also not guide us properly with regards to suggestions for poses. It ended up being a more stressful, than enjoyable, session. We were told that we'll receive our images on disk. They fail to tell you that they are thumbnail images that you're actually not really able to view properly or even make out what's in the photograph! They also told me that it'll be two weeks before I could collect the photographs, which was acceptable. After the two weeks came to an end, I phoned a number of times to find out when the photographs will be ready for collection - on the times that I got an answering machine service, they didn't even bother to return my call! After five weeks, I phoned again and they told me that the photographs were now ready for collection or £6.00 postal fee to have them sent to me. Having viewed their website prior to the appointment, I must say that I was excited to attend the session as I expected a professional service, but was on the contrary utterly disappointed!

Booked a fab deal for me and my friends to have hair, make up and a spray tan. We all had a great time and the staff are lovely, the interior of this salon is so gorgeous and we love the atmosphere. Will be going back for all my nights out! Thanks girls Louise xxx

I rarely write reviews, but i'm actually appalled.
Man at reception was very rude and seemed very uninterested in me being there (i think he's called miguel?) no one offered me any drinks (as was part of the deal!) no one even offered to take my coat/bag. makeup artist and hair stylist were ok, but very rushed. I've had free makeovers where they've spent longer on me and done a better job
At the end of appointment i asked for my deposit back (as was promised to me), this miguel guy refused to give me it, saying i'd have it refunded to my bank account. 2 weeks later, i check my bank- not there. I ring burlington's they say they'll sort it out. 2 months later i decided to check again. STILL not there. As to this moment I still have not been refunded.
I ADVISE YOU DONT GO HERE. spend a bit extra and go to hersheson's (also in westfield) and get your makeup done free from mac/benefit!

“I think the concept is absolutely brilliant, so I could not have been more dissapointed when the service I received was not what I had been sold. I had ordered a makeover as a surprise for my partner and when I placed the order I was told adding a photo-shoot would cost no more money. I then went to pay over the phone and was told they required a deposit upfront, so I was quite confused when they then proceeded to take the full payment upfront on top of the deposit. I debated it but the guy on the phone couldn't really explain it and you could tell he was scripted. I was short for time so I just went along with it. Then on the day I met my partner at the studio's at the end of her session. I was then met by a guy at the studio called Marcel. I wanted to collect the photos and go but he told me that I was late and we needed to go through the photo's. I was confused as I was 15 minutes before the end time, I also didn't see why I couldn't just tell them what photos I wanted and go. However, Marcel said we would have to come back in 45 minutes and go through the photo's with a consultant. When I questioned this Marcel then started getting funny with me and pointed out that he had never had this issue with anybody else. I told him I wasn't happy with the way he was speaking to me and he said that if I continued to question this he would refuse me the pictures full stop. When we were seen, a lady went through a whole load of photo's (generally they were very good). We selected the ones we liked and then at the end it was revealed that when I was told it wouldn't cost any more to add the photo-shoot, what they really meant was they wouldn't charge to take the photo's and they would give one free photo but any other photo's selected would cost £50 EACH !! I bought a few but raised a formal complaint. When the photo's arrived they were on very low grade photo paper and sent in a flimsy folder. As such the photo's were creased and buckled. I called to complain about that and ask for them to be re-sent and I was assured somebody would call me back about my complaint but nobody did. I called twice and both times nobody bothered. When I eventually received a call I was promised a refund and the photo’s received along with a soft copy on disk. None of this materialised so I escalated to a lady called Saika, who I was told was the head of customer relations and requested compensation in the form of the full photo file on disk or by email. But she said they had already re-sent the prints and a disk with the four photo’s on and had refunded me. None of this materialised and when I mentioned that, she just ignored me. They just don’t care. I really recommend avoiding these guys as do many people if you search the web. I chose the Icon makeover with New ID. At first it seemed really expensive at two hundred and fifty pounds but when you think about it, with the Icon you get five free 5 x 7 branded prints that would normally cost fifty pound each so you are already ahead of the game and then you also get a hair cut and a hair colour. I have wanted to go platinum blonde for ages and this for me was a very economical way of doing it. So five prints and a hair colour and a hair cut that I pay seventy pounds for normally, and the makeup and the photo session, when you look at it that way you start to see that it is not expensive at all, in fact it is a complete bargain! I loved the hair colour they did for me, it was fantastic, in fact the whole thing was brilliant. The standard of hair dressing is way beyond what I expected. I was totally happy with the makeup despite the fact that they do put quite a lot on so it is not bleached out by the lighting in the photo studio. I loved the atmosphere and of course the free drinks. I was at the salon for six hours which is quite a long time, I was expecting four hours,, and they don’t serve food so take some snacks with you, especially if you are having a hair colour as well as a cut, you might get a bit peckish and if you are like me the Bucks Fizz will go to your head!
All in all I would say the Icon package is excellent value for money and you wont overspend because the prints are included.

I totally loved New ID it was such a great time I had there when I had my makeover, I just wish so much that the pictures were more affordable because I really wanted to buy more than I did but at fifty pounds for the smallest one and five times more than that for the big one you would need a mortgage to get all of the ones that you wanted. You have to see though that even though that is a gripe it does tell you how good the pictures are because if they were not good then I would not be bothered about the fact that I could not buy every last single one of them, I am going to save up so hard for the next year or so, I want to go back and do it all again and then walk out with handfuls of amazing pictures. I hand on heart have never ever looked anywhere near as good on a picture before and it was quite a jaw dropping moment when I saw how amazing I looked, I had no idea that the pictures were going to be that great and I could not stop staring at them. The boost to my confidence has been incredible and I know I will be going back to New ID time and time again.

Totally big thumbs up to New ID from me. I had a wonderful makeover with them and loved every last second of it and every last bit of it too, ok well the bit where I maxed out my credit card on the totally amazing photos might not have been the best decision I ever made in my life but despite my resolve to only buy one and get the free one I now have nine coming and one big bill to pay off but I had no idea how totally awesome the pictures were going to be and I just had to have more than two I am afraid. I am going to go back to New ID to get a makeup lesson, I was that impressed with how they did the makeup and while I was there, another lady was having a makeup lesson and she said it was fantastic and she learnt a lot from it. I am getting married later on in the year so I am going to take my brides maids along and then who knows, maybe we can do our own makeup for the wedding and not have to pay somebody else to do it for us, or if we still can’t do it then it is going to be New ID 100% who do it for us. If you are, like I was, a bit scared of makeover because of the photo shoot then don’t be, you are going to love it, they make it really easy for you and you really do not need any kind of modeling experience to look every bit as good as a professional model, I can vouch for that. New ID is totally brilliant and I cant wait to pay off my credit card so I can go back and do it all over again.

I have just discovered New ID makeovers, I have to be honest, this is nothing that I even really knew about or had considered before, the only reason that I found myself in the capable hands of the New ID team was because my sister got a voucher for a leaving present from work but didn’t want to go so she gave it to me. At the beginning I thought it was a bit of a cheek and some kind of hint because I am not the kind of woman that spends a lot of time doing my makeup, in fact unless it is a very special occasion I never even bother and I have had the same hair style, or rather lack of hair style for years so I was a bit taken aback, but when she told me how she got the voucher I just thought, oh why not and went along to see what it was all about anyway. I loved being at New ID and for somebody that has little or no interest in fashion, that is quite the achievement. I had no idea what sort of clothes to take, my wardrobe is about as up to date as my makeup and my hair cut, so I took along all sorts of stuff that the consultant helped me choose from. I was slightly concerned that they would be peed off that I took along so much stuff but they were very nice about it and tremendously helpful. I felt very comfortable with the whole team. That day I was totally transformed from a dowdy middle aged woman that had no interest in my looks to a good looking woman that was polished from head to foot, I could not believe it. This experience has totally changed the way I look and in turn how I feel about myself. If you are the kind of woman that doesn’t think that fashion and makeup is for her the do what I did and let New ID prove you wrong. I cannot wait to get my photos that should be here in few weeks time!

Worst experience of my life.

Con from the moment you walk in the door.. they try to sell you make-up, false eyelashes.....

If you are there for the photoshoot be prepared to walk out the door without your desposit, they use every trick in the book to extract it from you.

Should have been an enjoyable day, turned into a 'timeshare' session that you just cannot get out of, no amount of bucks fizz helps with this experience!

My only recommendation - Stay Away..

My friends and I booked in before going away on our hen doo on Saturday. We all chose one of the various packages that were on offer and I have to say we were really pleased with what we received. The hair ups and styling were fantastic, as were the make up and spray tans ( MAC and Australian Gold). My firend also got her hair cut, and gorgoeus nail art which she loved also. All in, we were very happy girls, thanks to the girls there for working wonders! We wil let you all know how we got on when we come back!! xxxx

Believe me if you are in two minds about getting a photo shoot and makeover session with New ID all you have to do is take a look at their website and have a little click on the before and after photos and if that does not convince you then take mine and very other person that has had such a good time they have come on here and other sites to vouch for what a great experience this is. I loved being at New ID and I have every intention of going back for more of the same. New ID are proving a great way to make you look and feel totally amazing and I want more of it. I think it is one of those things that you could get totally addicted to and I can’t wait to go back for round two.
I have never really had much of a clue about what to do with my hair. I am one of those people that finds photos in a magazine of my hair in a way that would be impossible for even the most talented hairdresser to achieve. At New ID it is totally different. They sit down with you and look at your hair and the shape of your face and suggest styles to you that are achievable and more importantly that you will be able to manage on your own. There is nothing worse than walking out of a salon with amazing hair that you can no nothing what so ever with the next day. Here you will walk away with a style that suits you, is manageable and a few weeks later you will be the proud owner of some fantastic pictures that are a constant reminder of how incredible you can look. Its great.

My friend and I had the most amazing time at New ID having a makeover. We both came into a bit of money and spent a week working out how to treat ourselves. Then a friend suggested this idea and we both immediately thought it was the best idea ever. We spent the weekend before we went on a shopping spree to get some new outfits for the occasion. We had such a great time and then poured over the before and after photos, over a bottle of wine, dreaming about our new looks. The big day arrived and we got to the salon at around ten am to a wonderfully warm welcome from the staff. We had a sit down over a glass of Bucks Fizz and showed the lady our outfits and got our heads together to plan what we wanted to look like. To be honest we wanted a pretty casual look, we are both pretty casual girls and wanted some nice fresh pictures of ourselves for our respective houses.
We both got a great hair cut, nothing too dramatic but the standard of the cut for both of us was exceptional. We then had our makeup done and they did pretty much what we asked for, just fresh and natural using earthy tones, we were both really happy with what they did for us. We had a few more glasses of plonk before we stepped out in front of the camera where we had so much fun, it was so easy, we thought that with our total lack of experience in front of a professional photographer it would be really hard but he made it like a walk in the park for us.
We thought it would be a total nightmare to choose the pictures but it was fine, we had such a lot of fun and loved every aspect of our day at New ID.

I was really impressed with the New ID crew when I went for a makeover and photo shoot with them last month. My friend put me on to the idea of going, I have just split up with my long term boyfriend and she thinks that it is time for me to get back onto the dating scene and thought I could A. do with a bit of a lift before I embark on something that I find to be pretty intimidating, and also she thought that it would be a good idea to get some professional photos to use on dating online sites, I was never going to do that but I could not see any harm in going along and getting a bit fat boost to my ego. I was a little shocked to see how affordable this was to do, I had it in my mind, for no real reason, that it would be really expensive but it was so affordable I could hardly believe it would be for real. My ex is a lawyer so I am very good at going through the fine print of anything and I had a very good look at all of the information on the website before I made up my mind to go but having gone through it with a fine tooth comb I have to say that there was nothing off putting at all and it really is what it says it is.
I arrived at the salon to a very warm welcome and really enjoyed having my hair and makeup done by the very friendly team of professionals that I met at the salon. The salon was very busy but it was great fun. I was there for about five hours and met lots of interesting people and discovered that I am not the camera shy person that I thought I was!
I got a lot out of New ID and hope that anybody that is unsure if they want to go or not will read this, go along and have as much fun as I did.

I have done a few spa treatments, weekends, retreats and a few other experiences I have found on voucher sites but none were are good as the New ID Makeover and Photoshoot that made me look so amazing and feel so amazing it has given me a whole new lease of life. As much as I have enjoyed the other things that I have done, none of them have given me the same kind of boost or kept me feeling and wanting to look good for so long. I loved the whole atmosphere at New ID. The studio had a real buzz about it that I felt as soon as I got through the door, it is a sort of excitement that I have never felt before, and I could tell by the look on the other peoples faces that were there already having a makeover that it was going to be a memorable experience because they were having such a good time too and without exception they looked totally amazing. When you first get in they give you a reassuring consultation where you establish what your new look is going to be. I went for a fairly radical change of hair style, something I have been meaning to do for years but never really plucked up the courage to go for it. I loved the makeup just as much, although that clearly can be taken off, when your new hair cut cannot but I did feel that I got a lot out of having a one on one with a professional makeup artist who was more than happy to share a few tricks of the trade with me and a few techniques that I know I am going to get a lot of benefit from. I would highly recommend New ID, not just for great pictures but for a huge moral boost that at one time or another I think we could all use.

I love the review from "Happyme" even a blind person can see that Splash Studios wrote it, my experiance is the same as "leeem " & "angrymum", I never seen sales people like it apart from double glazing.

Pitures were great but please do your home work as you are ment to ENJOY the experiance from start to finish.

My treatment started 40 minutes later than planned (therapist was late...) I was explained every step of the procedure and the aftercare, my questions has been answered, which is fine. I draw the shape of my eyebrows for her so she sees exactly what my desired shape was. It really wasn't nothing unusual and I exactly knew what I wanted, which in normal circumstances should help the therapist. Unfortunately it took a while before she managed to draw something barely similar...In fact at the end I was amending the shape with her equipment!!! Final drawing was different to initially marked required shape. I just had an impression that therapist had her own idea...Anyway, brows are thinner than i wanted, but at the moment i won't raise the issue because i second treatment is required anyway (SURPRISE!!)... which btw appears to be more expensive than the voucher itself (voucher 89 and second visit 120) I hope I can amend my shape when repeating the procedure. Hope so....My brows are fuller and naturally nicely shaped - purpose of the visit was to enhance them. At the moment results are 5 out of 10....Thanks Penny!

For the money this was great value. Rooms clean. facilities great. Food excellent. Will definitely be going again.

Just got back from a makeover day and photo shoot at Id studios Manchester, I went with my daughter after purchasing a deluxe makeover package for two.
I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of all the staff, from the moment we entered right through to leaving. The hair stylists, makeover artist and the photographer made you feel extremely welcome, and soon put you at ease.
The photographs were stunning and the only difficult part of the day was deciding which of the photos to buy, if money was no object we would have bought them all!.
The photos are expensive and we had to shortlist our favourites, we just thought it would be better to offer a package with all the photos on a disc rather than actual printed ones. (they do offer single photos on a disc, but to get them all on one would be better, and cheaper!)
Would I go again, .... no, would I recommend to a friend,.....Yes, (bank balance says no)
We have to wait four weeks for the piccies and again if they put them on a disc you could take them home with you, which would be better.
Hopefully the picture quality is as good as the day has been and we can cherish them for years to come.
Give this company a try, but do go midweek if you can because it is quieter and they can spend even more time pampering you and making you feel like a star.

I went for a photo shoot session with my friend this month after buying a voucher from groupon which paid for the makeover but not for the photos. The experience was nice and over all me and my friends enjoyed it. The staff that did the makeover were really friendly and nice. I was really pleased with my makeup but not so pleased with the haircut. I enjoyed the friendly and easy going atmosphere, also the studio is quite nice.

There are some things I didn't like. First of all the photographer guides you on the poses, which is good but at the end you end up looking a bit uncomfortable and unnatural in some of the photos. I would have expected to have a bit of guiding but also be allowed to express myself in front of the camera and show a bit of my personality. But this can not be done because they can't take 100 photos of you as it will be hard to decide at the end which ones you like. Over she took 25 photos of me and 25 of my friends. Half of them where not very good.

Also during the same time of our session there were other 6 ppl having their photos taken on the same day. This wouldn't have been a problem if we were given more attention and more time to take good photos which I didn't feel we had. We had to rush with the photo shoot and didn't have time to fully relax in front of the camera.

The big surprise came at the end when we were shown the prices for the photos. It did feel like a rip off. There is a reason why they don't show prices on their website for the full package or for the actual photos which other companies do.

Overall the experience was nice and enjoyable but if you decide to go to this studio for a photo shoot make sure you call them before and negotiate a good price for the photos and don't agree with the exorbitant prices they will ask for.

Just terrible. Did the 'glitz and glam' make up course.

Products were cheap and poor quality

We did a glitter eye and there were only 2 really unwearable colours and she told us she'd run out of the rest. Order more if you have a course coming up.

Therapist took phone calls whilst we were meant to be taught.

Therapist took a private treatment during our make up course and applied weekend lashes and waxed her brows ON OUR TIME. Everyone looked really fed up.

No lunch and it wasn't made clear that we had to bring our own lunch. 10-3 is a long time to go without food.

Make up looks we were taught were pretty shoddy. Didn't tailor class to our needs.One poor woman wanted more confidence as she was getting older, so she got one leopard print eye and one like a peacock feather.

If some one didn't like their look it was just passed off as "well it's different, you're not used to it".

Please do not waste your money on this course. Needs more professionalism, better products, better organisation!

THis was a present for my daughter and her freind for her 19th birthday -we were stopped in the street and offered buy one get one free so thought ideal for a birthday gift ! paid for the photo and makeover -then had to pay £50 booking fee which I was told I would get back ermmmm still waiting !
then came the really hilarious piece of misell I've ever come across
Rang to confirm as per insructions then the hard sell begins if I paid £60 pounds there and then I would get an extra photo each for the same deal so paid the £60 so in total I paid £60 which they doubled to £120 plus £50 plus £25 = £195 then day before shoot call from ID - do you want to double up and pay more money for more photos ...... so I asked how much would it be for a ! cd with all the photos on the guy sadi £100 -so I said well I'll have that rather then the photos - then came day of the shoot - daughter wouldn't let the stylist cut her hair as didn't look old enough to be qualifeid photographer moody and shouted at them - then next day went back to 'view' and were sat in a room and made to complete credit froms to pay for 2CD's at a cost of over £200 plus what I ahd already paid ! my daughter rang me in tears I had to get me husband to come out of work to sort it out - short version it's a scam and no where near as profeesional as ventura photos at least there you know what you are paying for ! really really reallly disapointed

I just loved my makeover with New ID it was one of the best things I have done in terms of health and beauty and that might sound kinda crazy but looking and feeling good is as good for your health as it is for your looks. I think beauty comes from within, and when you feel happy on the inside you look great on the outside and when you go and spend a bit of time with the amazing New ID makeover team you are going to look even more amazing on the outside.
I loved every second of my visit to the salon that is clean, fun nicely decorated and a great place to watch your transformation. I had the best hair cut that I have had in years and I found the makeover section of the deal fascinating. I was quite surprised to find no hard sell on the pictures. the cost of the makeover deals can in no way pay for everything you get so they must have to rely on picture sales. With this in mind I was ready for it after I had the photo shoot and in the viewing room I had a pre planned speech to battle off any hard sell coming my way but I am pleased to report there was no hard sell and all of the staff were professional and courteous at all times. I can do nothing but praise and recommend New ID.

I purchased a voucher for a makeover day as I felt I needed to treat myself after all my long hours at work. Spoke to a very lovely lady named Red Rose who arranged the session for me and my friend! You know when they say "first impression lasts".. this is truly correct!!!! Everything went perfectly! From my makeup... it was exceptional, they did not spend too much time doing my hair as I have already long straight black hair ;). My photographer, she was gentle, and almost felt like I was a real model that day! Although, the photos were a little bit pricy but they were amazing and tempting, all worth it! I coudn't help myself so I bought a few more and bragged them to my cousins when I got home.

It was indeed a wonderful day! Memorable one! And I'm definitely going to give myself same treat very soon! =) =) =)

My makeover was pretty perfect really. I went on a Saturday and they told me that there might be quite a long delay between each section of the makeover because they get rammed at the weekend but I found that it was fine and the longest I had to wait for anything was half an hour to view the pictures but to be honest there was so much going on in the salon that it was great to just sit back and people watch. I was not bored at all and you get free bucks fizz the whole time you are there any way so I was not going to moan about sitting in a great salon with heaps going on with a glass of bubbles in my hand!
The makeover was fantastic and pretty much how the rest of the contributors on here have said, it’s a case of book in, sit with the consultant, fill in a few forms, go over what kind of look you want then off to the hair section, get a wash and a cut and a blow dry and style and then off to makeup where you get your makeup done and lots of brilliant advice on how to make the best of yourself and take care of your skin, the it is a touch up on the old hair and then you are whisked off to the photo studio where you jump around having a ball and having your pictures taken, then you wait for the viewing, go wild because you want to buy all of the pictures. figure which you can afford, choose you free one, pay the postage and off you go, a few weeks later they turn up and you hang them with pride on your wall.
It was all pretty faultless really and I would find it very hard to figure out how they could improve this experience.

I have nothing but respect for New ID and their makeover service. I loved having the two makeover s I have had with them and will certainly be looking forward to having another one some time soon as well. I was very surprised at how affordable the makeover package are, I would have thought it would cost a lot more than that when you are not under any obligation to buy the pictures. Then I thought that as the actual deal was cheap you would be put under a lot of pressure to buy the pictures so was slightly apprehensive about that the first time I went but it was fine, there was no pressure at all and as some other people have mentioned the pictures really don’t need a lot of hard sell, they are great and really sell themselves. I loved the makeup they did for me on the day and I was very happy to find that the makeup lady was almost giving me a makeup lesson, I took a lot away from that experience and I am a lot more confident with makeup now and happy too experiment a bit more as well. I brought quite a few of the makeup products, I would like to have brought more but I wanted to spend the majority of my money on the picture that I am so very proud of. I think New ID are great and if you go you will love it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and I think if you check out the deals on the website you will be amazed , as I was, at how affordable this is.

The reason we were at Twilight was for a photoshoot in their studio. We went as a family of 4 (myself, husband and two teenage sons). To be quite honest, we were a bit apprehensive about it all, having never done this sort of thing before. However, we need not have worried, as the experience was very good and we have happy memories of the pre-Christmas event (it had been given to us as a Christmas gift from my brother). The staff were very friendly and helpful and the after-service care was efficient and we are thankful to Paul Chandler for his professionalism in completing our order for the event. We had so much fun that day and would highly recommend it to anyone planning on indulging themselves with make-up, hair styling and a family photoshoot. We have some wonderful professional photographs which we have shared with family members, who have been thrilled with them. Many thanks again Twilight.

New ID are really fantastic and their makeovers are well worth the price, however take my advice and keep an eye on their website they do some amazing deals. I have been three times, the first time I didn’t even really bother to look for a good deal because the price of the makeover seemed to me to be so reasonable to start off with but the next time I found their last minute deal and got a makeover at half the price, I really just wanted a hair cut and my makeup done for a night out and was not going to bother buying the pictures but they were so awesome I ended up getting three. The next time I paid the full price for the makeover but I got a role over deal on the pictures so the company put down as much money as I did as long as I paid before I went so that effectively halved the cost of the pictures it was great, I now have a house full of pictures of me looking fantastic and I tell you what it does make you want to make more of an effort with yourself when you can see all the time how good you can look, I don’t know about other girls out there but I tend to be really lazy when it comes to getting ready to go out, I tend to just throw on what ever I can find and not worry but when you come face to face with yourself looking incredible every day you tend to go back to the bathroom and put a bit of slap on. New ID are great, just keep an eye out for good deals so you have more to spend on the pictures!

I got a voucher for New ID as a Gift from my sister for my partner and I for a Deluxe Makeover and Photoshoot for two including hairstyle, make-up, nails and drinks. I phoned up and booked it for a Sunday at 8am. I had to pay a depisit of 50pounds which could be used toward images or payed back to me after we attended the day. We were offered drinks, chatted to, asked what look we were going for, even my partner enjoyed it (he didnt want makeup but they managed to convince him to have foundation because otherwise the photo's will whitewash him). The hair was brilliant (I even bought some conditioning treatment because they made my hair so soft), Makeup also brilliant and gave me some tips on doing it myself.
Photographer was brilliant, talked us through, helped us pose in different clothes and backgrounds. Told to wait 1 hour before photo viewing and suggested we pop into town for food and a little shop, which we did.
Went back to have a look at the pictures. the room we viewed them in was small but it was fairly pleasant. We were overwhelmed by the quality of the pictures and had one heck of a job to work out which ones to get. None of them really needed touching up and there was plenty to choose from so it is easy to avoid that extra cost if you want to.
We both really had a good time and I am sure we will be going again at some point in the future.

My opinion of New ID
Website – superb, this is a great site with lots of information, nice video, before and after shots and great deals.
Booking – very easy, buy a voucher online, get the pack that contains all the info, phone up and book.
Customer service department – very good and helpful people, efficient, honest and polite.
Salon – busy but good fun, nice atmosphere, great decoration, clean, oragnised and nice buzz
Staff – all great, really friendly people, happy, chatty and show an genuine interest in what they are doing.
Makeup – application – fantastic, loved what they did for me. Products – superb, I brought loads of their own brand cosmetics that are way better than a more expensive brand that I was using before.
Hair – great cut, one of the best I have ever had, love Burlingtons, will us them again for sure
Photo studio – fantastic, great backgrounds and props. Great fun, lots of interesting lighting.
Photographer – great guy, really knows his stuff, very chatty and friendly and very good at getting you to relax
Photos – awesome, great composition and really nicely done
Viewing session – awesome, very relaxed and no hard sales, the guy was very friendly and not at all pushy.
Overall service – superb, I would use this company again without a shadow of a doubt and would be more than happy to recommend them to anybody.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON MAKE UP LESSONS HERE!

I came here for a 3 hour make up lesson.
The staff, I think she was called Miguela ( as she didn't even bother introducing herself at the beginning) was clueless.
She went through a flip chart which was already been written out before hand. We then had a volunteer who she did some make up on, but she stood in front of our view the whole time. Anything we asked her, she wasn't sure about, I left half way through, I thought it was better wasting the money than my time there.

I have complaint to the company about their bad teachings and they didn't even bother replying to me at all.

We had a lovely day at the Breadsall Priory.
We chose the back massage which was very relaxing then we went for a swim and sauna afterwards we had lunch there which finished the morning perfectly a great day out

When my dear hairdresser of many years moved away, I was devastated. I tried a salon he'd recommended, but I wasn't impressed. The place was small, crazy like a zoo, and my haircut was not the quality I was used to, this was the first mistake he had ever made. I mentioned it to a friend of mine, and she recommended Burlingtons and New ID studio. I was a little confused about the studio so I went online and saw this place wasn’t just a salon but dealt in what they called makeover photoshoots. This sounded like it could be well worth it and fun to get some nice photographs. I figured it was worth a try, since my friend had sported some great looks, including a stunning style and then she showed me her photos that she had done and I was sold. When I got to Burlingtons and New ID it was like night and day from the salon I'd just tried. It was busy, but a happy, humming, organized kind of busy. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There are lots of stylists and staff for the many customers that were there which is a great sign of a great salon. The salon is clean and open, with a great sense of space, so it never feels crowded even when every seat is filled. Great for people watching! And if there's drama in this salon, I don't see it. This place is professional to the hilt without being sterile or cold. The people who work here are always smiling. I also wanted to mention that the staff here at Burlingtons and New ID studio do not push you to buy the products they sell.

I for a full pamper & photography bourdoir shoot, and myself and my friend were quite nervous before turning up, but I can simply say this was one of the BEST Salon/Studio experiences I have ever had!!Although running a little late, we were well looked after,& offered a glass of bubbly for start the day. From the make up, nails, hair styling, photo session, to the end result, we were not rushed along & felt time was taken over each part of the day. Was very happy with the make up & hair and friendly banter along the way, and then it just got better & better! Taz who took our photos made us both feel very at ease despite being in our underwear in front of a total stranger!!He knows his stuff & showed upmost professionalism as well as having a great sense of humour, which really helped make our session as enjoyable as it was.There was an abundance of backdrops for the pictures, which really impressed me after having been to other venues which were in comparison, quite shocking! We were guided through everything step by step to achieve the best results. We then had a short break before expecting a hard sell session looking through the pictures, but Sam was a friendly, helpful, professional but very lovely guy who we warmed to, and who gave his honest advice, and helped us choose the final pics for us to take home that day. Myself and my friend both left feeling elated and saying what a wonderful day we had just had. I would recommend this Salon & Studio to anyone, and made a perfect day for us, and taking away some pictures we were both really proud of. Thank you to all the staff at Pynk for a truly brilliant day! :)

New ID studio is the place to go if you are looking to capture a time in your life with a complete makeover and a real professional photoshoot resulting in fantastic photographs. This is not your ordinary photo studio as they have all the equipment to give you such a great makeover first to get the best of you with a great consultation about what you want and are more likely to get. All the staff that I had were truly artists. I have long, straight hair and tend to not expect too much, as most places just trim it and blow dry it. My hair hangs very flat, therefore I went in expecting to get a nice cut, and hopefully an enjoyable experience. Instead, I walked out excited that my hair actually has style. They had cut my hair into layers that gave me shape (while keeping the length). The hardest part of the entire time I spent there was umming and arring about what pictures I wanted and how many and I had to forcibly stop myself from spending a fortune on one of the loveliest picture frames I have ever seen. I will have one but not just yet. When i received my complete set of photos and i loved every one of them. There was no gimmick when I went to Burlingtons and New ID studio and met with the staff. They were very straightforward, easy to talk to and very passionate about their work. So great to find a business like this.

Im not one for bigging up any old business but the way I was treated at this beautiful trendy young feeling salon that had just been suggested to me by my secretary, I felt I had to. She had heard from her friend and this for me is always a great sign and the best advertising ever is by word of mouth. I looked them up online and the website was ok enough for information but I would update the webpage if I was them (that’s my business I will be leaving them a card). I booked in for the icon makeover and photoshoot which got me a new colour cut and style plus a photo session. This was looking like a bargain I was still waiting for the full whack and onslaught from a hard hitting sales pitch for whatever they happened to have on promotion this week. Well I can honestly say I was shocked at the way I was treated by the entire staff and management at Burlingtons and New ID studio and salon. They were one hundred percent faultless. My hair which is the bane of my existence was treated to such a glorious cut and style I was speechless.(which is very rare). The make up girl was so lovely and charming setting me up for the great time I had in the studio for my pictures. The photographer was good not too personal but also not too aloof. And by the time it had ended we did manage to get some stunning pictures of ME. The best find of 2011. Thanks Burlingtons and New ID.

I completely agree with all of the compliments that New ID get on this and on other review sites, I loved my makeover with New ID and have made a decision to go ever year even if it is just to get one or two pictures. I got such a good feeling from having a my makeover it really made me shine and has changed my look forever and I can’t think of anything better than every year going and having another revamp and seeing how many different looks I can come up with, I had no idea that reinventing myself was going to have such a profound effect on not only how I look but how I feel as well it really was the making of me and I have found depths to myself that I did not know that I had before. In terms of the cosmetic they are great too and they are so affordable, I am really loving New ID makeup and it is certainly getting me noticed. I learnt quite a lot from having my makeup done and have referred to the little chart they gave me so many times to make sure that I am getting my makeup right.
I had loads of Bucks Fizz, that was great, I felt almost famous, I have never felt like that before. The staff were all really cool and did a great job of keeping everybody happy even if it was very busy on the day that I went and there was a bit of waiting around but they kept us all really occupied and happy at all times and I did not hear one complaint all day so this experience gets one massive big huge thumbs up from me, well done everybody at New ID

I have been to Splash at least 10 times with my children aged 10 and 6 the pictures are amazing the price is to be expected and noone bullies you or makes you feel unwelcome. If you want cheap go to snappy snaps

My fiancé and I just had a makeover and photoshoot session with Burlingtons and New ID studio and we had an absolute brilliant time. We were both really up for the day and had lots of our own ideas for the shoot. We talked previously about what would look the best. And the friendly staff and Burlingtons and New ID took our opinions and told us what they thought and between us we came up with what is best. That was the tone for the session- lots of energy, laid back but professional. My fiance and I were really open to whatever happened because we knew our photographer has a great eye. He gave us a lot of direction, we weren’t just standing there hoping we looked ok. We really appreciated that. We didn't linger, hoping we got something good- once he captured what he wanted it was like, 'excellent, those were great, let's try something else!" All of our photographs were sooo beautiful this was all down to the skills that they all possess at Burlingtons and New ID. Both of us had our hair done before the photoshoot Dave my fiancé had his beautiful long hair cut a lot shorter than he wanted but I demanded it. (your too old for a ponytail Dave). My hair was spectacular much better than my usual salon so I think I may be changing salons from this day forward. I love Burlingtons and New ID. They are the only place I can find in London that does really great high and lowlights can give you a modern and trendy hair cut give you some professional model quality photographs and doesn't charge a fortune. They are worth every penny. You can probably get cheaper priced colour or cuts (at your grans beautician maybe) and a cheaper photography session but I doubt it will be anywhere as professional as you get from this lot here. I guarantee you won't find a better job for the price. I went to Burlingtons and New ID because all of reviews on line and elsewhere are raving ones, and I like you will not be disappointed. They photographed me spectacularly. The photos are magnificent. They done very few posed portrait shots, so if that's what you're looking for, they are probably not the best fit (although I am sure they are more than capable of doing those beautifully, too). They excel at is beautiful candid photos. My photographer really captured the essence of me in my prime. I recommend that you check out their website to get a better idea of what they do.
After seeing some of the photos they shot, several of my friends have contacted Burlingtons and New ID to book their own makeover photoshoots. I highly recommend them, the best hair and makeup but first and foremost for the fantastic pictures I had taken. I definitely will be returning to Burlingtons and New ID studio

I thoroughly loved my first and definitely not my last visit to Burlingtons and New ID studio. I have been to copious amounts of salons before, but this one is simply the best. I had been colouring my hair at home with dark brown box set for about a year and wanted something lighter and just generally better. So I called Burlingtons and New ID after reading their reviews and knowing that the nearest location was near to my home. I was booked for the next day for a Icon makeover and photoshoot. I would get my hair coloured by a pro and have time in a photographic studio!!! Wow I couldn’t wait. When I walked in for my appointment I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff, who gave me a quick tour and asked if I wanted anything to drink and I could not refuse a bucks fizz. What a perfect drink for getting your hair done. Everyone was so nice and helpful! I only waited 5 minutes for my colourist and stylist, to greet me. We chatted about what I wanted. I wanted my hair quite a bit lighter, but I did not want my hair blonde. Then she cut my hair better than I have had it in years. In the end my hair turned out so beautiful. I enjoyed my photoshoot but the best result for me was my hair. I got my complementary photograph in the end. From start to finish I had a spectacular experience. There were no pushy tactics to get me to buy their products. I cannot wait until my next appointment! They really listen and care for their customers. Thanks again.

I've have lived in the same area of London my whole life and had the same hair stylist from my very first haircut at age 3 up until I was 14 years old, my mum. I decided to look for a new stylist when my former one wasn't able to really produce the look I wanted (thanks for trying mummy) and for a few of years I had a great stylist but that relationship didn’t last and I found a lot of trouble finding a place that I really liked. By the time I was twenty one I found my perfect salon with great staff and great stylists. Burlingtons and New ID are the perfect combination, a talented salon and you can get some fantastic photographs taken. When I first came here I was blown away by the whole scene they have manufactured, everything just shone with classiness. My hair has always come out looking beautifully and I have had all my friends compliment me after every time I have visited. What I think is the best part of the Burlington and New ID experience is the photoshoot they always take informal, natural-looking photographs of me. I'm not a fan of formal photos, you think it's easy to stand there and pose for a photographer and try and look natural. Well it is not. Yet the photographers at New ID capture your beauty, and emotions. The photographs that I bought were just the best pictures of me ever and every time I return I always have the choice of buying the latest shots. Burlingtons and New ID has been my regular salon for over a year now and I highly recommend you pay a visit here as soon as possible.

I have to say that New ID really are a million and one times better than the two other so called make over companies that I have used and I mean a whole heap better, not just a bit better for a start the products are well better, one company I used, well their makeup was like rubbing olive oil all over your face, I had spots for weeks afterwards , on top of that they are a lot more organized ad have way better, more professional and friendlier staff, much nicer boutiques, and a lot more free booze as well! The other places I used were like a cattle market in comparison and the waiting around in between having things done was so irritating. You don't get that with New ID, it all ran like clockwork and the team really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and involved with what you are having done rather than the 'this is the way we are doing your hair and makeup weather you like it or not' attitude of the others.
Because the other two times I had a makeover I had such a completely rubbish time I was pretty tempted to never go again but I got this voucher as a gift as part of a group of us and felt that I had to go and I was really amazing, I could not believe that companies offing the same things could offers such different levels of service.
My advice is that if you are going to have a makeover and want my advice don't use anybody other than New ID, the photographs are of a far higher quality as well.

When we selected Burlingtons and New ID studio for a makeover and photoshoot my fiancé and I wanted somewhere the staff were talented, artistic, easy to get along with, and somewhere they had an eye for detail. We have found all of these qualities at Burlingtons and New ID. My fiancé and I really are not big picture people. We are not that couple that has a billion photos of ourselves in our home, we are both pretty bored with facebook and don’t post pictures there anymore. But we did want to capture the memories of our love for each other on film. In a nice professional way, not just get your mam or dad to take some shots. We were not familiar with Burlington and New ID. But after looking at their website and the deals were great but the pictures even better. SO we booked or I booked. After the hair which was a snazzy new cut for me and the same short back and sides for him it was then time for our shoot, we were both a little nervous. A refreshing glass of bucks fizz before helped resolve that. We were made to feel at ease, as if we were not taking photos, but just natural in some and posing for others. My favourite was the one when I was being held and I was looking straight into my darlings eyes as he looked so hunky and handsome. They captured us through photos, they captured our personalities, who we are as a couple and how much we are in love. That is not something just anyone can do. I have always wanted a makeover ever since seeing them on the television and when I say makeover I mean for me, a personal makeover, not a car or a room or a whole house and lifestyle just a hair style change some new make up and some new clothes all put together and the final piece of the puzzle a professional photoshoot with all the bells and whistles that come with it. I had seen Burlingtons and New ID in passing and it must have stuck because when I was looking on the internet for somewhere to finalise my makeover plan I came across it and instinctively knew this was the place for me. When I looked at its address I worked it out that I have passed this salon and studio on numerous occasions while shopping and it had just passed me by. I must say that I had such an awesome experience with all the staff they were professional, punctual, and prepared. My hair stylist was chatty and full of gusto and managed my unmanageable hair greatly. I ended up with my favourite cut in ages. Before I was finished in the chair I had my first of several bucks fizzes which helped me out a lot when it came to my picture session. Working with the photographer was fun and laid back. We went over what to wear and I chose a cute black tank top from my sack of clothes that I brought with me, that made me feel comfortable. He was really good at making me feel at ease in front of the camera. My final pictures came out so much better than I was thinking they would and I was happy to pay the extra money for some extra prints.

I am not a real girly girl. I don’t know where all the best salons are at and I have never had a professional photoshoot. But after my first visit here to Burlingtons and New ID studio I am now obsessed with the place. I had an AMAZING time working with all the fresh faced lovely and genuine people at the salon and studio. My consultation and then cut and style with my stylist was fun, professional, creative, and my hair turned out better than I could have ever expected. In between me getting my hair cut and styled and a great lesson in hiding blemished areas and general make up, I was left to sit down and have a free drink of practically any kind from tea all the way to bucks fizz. Oh yes I love this place. When it was my time I was shown the way to the studio and my time in front of the lens was to begin. I was introduced to my photographer who was a younger man than I had imagined, but he loved his work and took his time to explain how everything would work and be pulled together for the final photograph to look fantastic. The shoot was relaxed, laid-back, and he went over photos throughout the shoot so we could get the best shot possible. The studio space is perfect and has great looking equipment, and his results speak for themselves. I could not recommend Burlingtons and New ID studio more, and will be sending my friends this way!

I am what I describe as a professional day outer. There is nothing i have not or will not try. There are hardly any salons, spas, massages, saunas or makeover places that I haven't hit since I moved here one year ago. As I have been down my list I have found some great places and some right old dives. This time i was going to Burlingtons and New ID. For a more than reasonable price I was getting more than i was even offered in most other salons. First check off was the welcome 10/10. Polite and many choices of beverage. I then had a very concise consultation 10/10. Then off to my chair and the stylist was great again polite and chatty not too much so 10/10. The final style and make up was also heavenly 10/10. I was offered a bucks fizz 10/10 while I waited for my studio to be readied. My photographer was the pick of the bunch 10.5/10 He made me laugh and pose like I was born to do this. I did have several changes of clothes and this didn't upset him in the slightest. When my time was up I jumped into the viewing room and I fell in love with myself. I managed to stay in control and not spend too much money. There was no hard sell they didn’t need to I would have happily bought them all. This is now my number one spot and i will passing through here quite regularly. What a find This place called Burlingtons and New ID 11/10

As soon as you step inside the door you know you have entered a special place. I had come from a stressful week of work and I am transformed into a beautiful new me after the sessions you receive from the staff at Burlingtons and New ID. The prices that they charge in no way brake the bank but if your ego is at stake- its well worth spending a little bit more. Burlingtons gave me the BEST haircut of my LIFE!!!!! I'm not kidding. i had this ugly half and half cut, and she turned it into a short little masterpiece. I live in West London and have been desperately looking for someone with their talents. I mean, they have worked with celebrities, so my friend had told me, and i swear to god you end up looking like one afterward. It is worth it, you don’t even have to save up for this cut, the prices are most reasonable. The environment is very friendly - everyone who works there is really nice and you can read your paper in silence or gossip about whatever you want to - they're up for anything. It is very fascinating for me to have a chance of being a model for a short time. The photographer I saw was able to create vibrant, exciting and meaningful images out of me. He had a real understanding of space, light and my energy...His outstanding images of me were fantastic and I couldn’t have imagined that I could look like that in a photograph. I cant fault my short time spent at Burlingtons and New ID.

I went to Burlingtons and New ID for the first time and I will be coming back the salon and staff were that good looking and I hoped that a bit would rub off on to me. I could not have been happier with my experience here! After I walked in the door, a young lady who turned out to be my hair stylist gave me a welcoming smile and introduced herself. Then I was directed to my chair, and what a comfortable chair it was. I do like a good one to relax in while getting styled. It was at this point I was reminded about the complimentary drinks and so I sat like a queen on her throne with my tall glass of fizzy wine. It was a little piece of heaven. My hair stylist was fabulous! She transformed my horribly neglected locks in to a gorgeous movie star 'do. In fact, I was so impressed that I already have scheduled an appointment with her next month to work get some colouring done. I was ready for my professional shoot and I must say I was a little bit nervous because I am quite self-conscious about being in front of the camera. She was fantastic about listening to what I wanted the result to look like and looking at the magazine I had brought in to show her. She guided me through the process of directing me what to do to get the result of how I wanted to look in the frame and helping my thought process to keep me on track. Our experience having a makeover and photoshoon session at New ID was absolutely wonderful. It was a few months ago and I still smile when I think of how wonderful we were treated. The girl that helped us was so sweet and I feel so sorry I can't remember her name, but she helped us choose how we wanted to look and gave us a hand with co-ordinating our outfits so we would look good together and gave us heaps of other great fashion and makeup advice that we both use and has made us both look really super.
I certainly don't agree with a couple of negative reviews which I came across during a Google search. There are not many but the ones that are there I find hard to believe if my experience is anything to go by, I don’t think some of them can even be true.

This was one of the most wonderful experiences my family has ever had. We all felt pampered.. All the staff made us feel like we were at a spa and our finished photographs had a touch of something magical.. I don't know how they do it but we all felt like a celebrity during the entire process and photo session.

Our family has had photo sessions done many times at other studios and most were just adequate. If there is one negative point, it would be a wish that this studio existed when our children were young. I just know our photo-takes would have gone a lot smoother. It makes me sad we can't turn back time and do this all over again.

If you are going to New ID I advise you to just relax and let them pamper you. It felt like a very special and once in a life time experience. I hope you will feel the same magic.

The Pinup Studio experience was nothing if not unique. Arriving at what looked like (and, as it turned out, was) a bohemian fantasy household in deepest Lambeth, I was surprised to be greeted by a young and cheerful blonde lady, Jessy, who was to be my photographer for the session. Jessy and her makeup / hair artist, Charlotte, made sure my boyfriend and I were settled with a cup of tea before we began the mammoth makeup application and hair coiffing that is the essential part of any pinup photoshoot.

I was put totally at ease by both women, and we chatted over tea and makeup brushes while Charlotte painstakingly applied individual lashes to my eyes and piled on the necessary foundation and powder combination needed to make skin look flawless under harsh light.

The venue for the shoot was quirky and interesting, although a little spartan; a couple more comfy chairs would have not gone amiss. However, the room served perfectly well for a small individual shoot and I was quickly put at ease by Jessy's encouragement and professionalism behind the lens.

We started with a few fully-clothed shots in a pencil skirt and feather boa combination, which worked well as an introduction to boost my confidence and start getting a bit more of my kit off, as is the time-honoured pinup style. Naturally, this started off awkwardly, with me getting used to moving my body into more suggestive contortions than I am generally used to...

In my second 'scene', dressed somewhat skimpily in a red bra and knickers and with a parasol as a prop, I began to warm up under the lights and started to really enjoy myself. Jessy's continual encouragement and gentle instruction really helped me get the most out of the experience. I found that bringing your own outfits helped make the photos more individual, but if I had wanted more there was a selection of clothing and underwear at hand.

We shot several different outfits and before I knew it, we had finished. What can I say, all that laughter and cheesecake posing made the time go by pretty quickly.

When I received my photos printed and on disc, I was very happy with the results, particularly with two of the images Jessy had digitally retouched. What a much-needed confidence boost!

I would be happy to recommend the experience to anyone who's sick of seeing those naff modern studio photos from places that rip you off and stick on the soft focus, and fancies doing something a bit different. You will not be disappointed!

If you are looking for a down to earth salon and an amazing cut and style look no further. I decided to try Burlingtons and New ID based on a number of different factors, which included proximity to my house, pricing, and the reviews that I read on the interweb. When I called for my appointment, it was about 10:00 AM on a Monday morning, and I was welcomed in with a smile and a lovely hot cup of tea. The first woman I spoke with - whose name I didn't catch, unfortunately - was extremely nice and helpful, and was able to tell me what I could expect from the day ahead. My stylist had a great personality and tons of experience. She gave me an excellent consultation for my hair cut, and she went above and beyond what I expected. While I was there, I felt as though I was in a really positive work environment, and that often reflects in a stylists work. All of the employees were smiling and making friendly jokes with one another at times. Whether you want to close your eyes and relax or chat throughout your appointment, the atmosphere seemed to be inviting towards either type. The photographer’s patience and attention to my sensitivities made for a fun, easygoing shoot that I will never forget. For a couple hours, I was a star, hamming it up for the camera. I think i just forgot about the camera and thought instead about how the final pictures would come out and then I can show them to the world. Thank you to all the top class people that I met at Burlingtons and New ID studio and salon.

Going into the Pin up studio I had no idea what I was in for. Once I was near the studio Jessy came out and found me to bring me upstairs and I loved the studios! Very trendy and cool and I felt super relaxed. They were all ready for me to get my hair and make-up done and offered me some sparkling wine which always helps to ease the nerves! The girl doing my make-up was fantastic, professional and made sure I was happy with the styling.

Jessy is a fantastic photographer and her pin up style is spot on. I felt instantly at ease with her and trusted her immediately. We had so much fun and I am unbelievably happy with the results! They are much more than I was expecting and was so happy that I had to come back and order a few more photos. Jessy picked out my best photos to send me and she has an excellent eye and were definitely the best of a very large bunch of shots. Her retouching work was great and gave me that perfect, smooth, pin up style.

I use my photos from the Pin Up Studio as my main photos when promoting myself as a professional burlesque performer and Pin up model and I get rave reviews from every professional who has seen them.

I recommend the Pin Up studio to all my friends in burlesque and will definitely come back for more with more costumes!

For non-professionals just looking for some really stunning photos and a fun, relaxed shoot, Jessy is great at directing and helping you hit those classic Pin Up poses and they are great gifts!

Today I write this review because I want to tell everyone what a wonderful time I had while having a makeover photoshoot at Burlingtons and New ID studio. I have had two professional photoshoots before. The first one I had was a wedding present in New York and was over eight years ago. That one was a great day but it cost a tremendous amount of money. My second one was 4 years ago in London that was a great day but not a patch on NYC. It is great to look at the difference in the photographs. So when for my birthday this year I received an Icon makeover photoshoot with the Burlingtons and New ID team. I was sure that my day wouldn’t come close to my NYC day firstly because the price was less than a third of what was paid, but the proof is in the pudding because the day I spent in New ID blew the spots off all the other makeovers I had done before. The staff were so friendly and helpful and not once did I feel like they were just going through the motions. My hair stylist listened and had skills with her scissors unlike anyone who had touched my head before. I didn’t take her suggestions lightly and the final style was better than I could ever have imagined. The photographer was a true professional and had so many ideas and everything about my session was better than I had seen before. When it came to viewing my photos I was knocked over by them. My new hair colour and cut looked amazing in my photos and I had to buy the beautiful photo album to put them in. You can trust me when I say Burlingtons and New ID are the best at what they do from New York City to London town. Simply the best.

. I would like to shout from the rooftops about my superb first time spent at Burlingtons and New ID studio. I went for a platinum photoshoot and makeover. The price was 150 pounds which is a little bit more than I usually pay for hair cut but not that much more and with the added bonus of time spent with a pro photographer. As I sat looking at myself in the mirror after my wonderful wash cut and blow dry, all I could think about was what a great place to find and I hope to become a regular client. I was waiting to get my make up done for my photos to be taken. I sipped on my free bucks fizz and thought I could do this once a week. That would be a little bit overkill, but the way I was made to feel, relaxed and tranquil I wanted more of this place. The photo session was great and again the words relaxed and tranquility come to mind. The compliments on my hair were non-stop for a week after I had left, and let's just say it was a self image boost I was in desperate need of. It's so strange how a good haircut can improve your confidence. I haven't felt this good about myself in a long time.
Now I think at Burlingtons and New ID you can come here if you are after some smashing shots of yourself with the fun of having a complete makeover, but I would recommend one and all to try a makeover but also I will be coming back here regularly for my haircuts and you can do that too because the prices are so reasonable.

This place is great, I would go so far as to say that it would be fairly impossible not to have a great time, I loved it, I went during the week, this was for two reasons really, one was because a friend of mine had been during the weekend when the salon was really busy and ended up being there a couple of hours longer than she had anticipated and said that there was a lot of waiting time, she really enjoyed the experience but that bit took the edge of it, the other reason was that when I phoned up to make the appointment they actually told me that it would be better to go during the week for the same reason, I was actually pretty impressed that they told me this and were up front about it and it gave me a lot of confidence in the them as a company. Even if I had not had that confidence I would still have been as impressed as I was, the studio was really well organized even though it was still pretty busy being a week day. I was really taken care of by the staff who did the most wonderful makeover for me and made me look brilliant. The only part of the day that I had reservations about before I went was me loosing the nerve during the photo session but it was great fun and the photographer did a really great job of making me feel relaxed and confident, so it was, for me, pretty much the perfect day. The pictures came out really well and I loved how I looked in them, professional pictures are so much better than amateur ones and I am so proud of mine that took just over four weeks to arrive.

The reception , decor and facilities looked good, although the treatment room that I got was very small and seemed make do.
My main treatment was the facial and it was one of the worst facials I have ever had. The girl was a new recruit. I have had facials at many places across london and going by her hand movements alone , I could tell she was inexperienced.while trying to remove blackheads she literally squeezed my skin so badly that it was very painful and left red marks all over my face. Will never go back again.
The manicure was okay and pedicure was hurried up- all done by the same therapist.

Like most people I've had some hit or miss hair cuts in many different salons. Then I found Burlingtons and New ID studio. Upon entrance you are welcomed by the most warmest personalities. Sweet and attentive, they offer to take your coat, and prepare a glass of ice cold lemon water, tea, coffee or even bucks fizz. I had been dying to get a new haircut for a while, but I didn't have a hair stylist that I could trust to try a new hairstyle. I wanted to maybe colour my hair and get a great cut to give my hair some shape during the transition of it growing out. I have shoulder length hair and it is really thin and without any product after a wash it really frizzes out. After my wash cut and style here at Burlingtons my hair was softer and shinier than it had been since I was a teenager. I was in love with this place already. That was before I had been to have my pictures taken. Now they have many different prices of packages and I paid less than my usual cut and blowdry for this cut and with the photography session with it as well. I have always been a bigger woman who has had the unfortunate pleasure of people offering up their opinions of my physique, but with this photographer I was made to feel extra special. Every shot that was taken I felt would be the ‘one’. And when I went to view them at the end of my session, I found out I was right. All the pictures were exquisite. I want everyone to see my photos. Burlingtons and New ID studio are my new best friends.

I had such an awesome time at New ID in Glasgow, it was way better than I expected it to be. A pal of mine had been and had a makeover before and even though the pictures came out really good she said the service was really bad, I have to add at this point that it was not the same company, but another company that offers the same thing, this is the reason that I went with a different company because her experience was one of hard sell and getting asked to recommend others to the experience and stuff like that, that would have been fair enough if she had not been paying for the deal, but when you have paid for something who wants to be put up to all of that sort of sales pressure, certainly not me. When I booked I let them know that I was going to be sticking to a budget for the picture and did not want to be pushed to buy more, they were very reassuring on the phone and said that is not the kind of thing that happens at their salon and I had no hassle with them what so ever. What I got was a great makeover that made me feel great, the pictures were really amazing quality and I loved how they used the background and the lighting and I really wished that I could have brought more of the pictures but I really only had a limited amount to spend. I was over the moon with the hair cut and style they did for me and the makeup was amazing. The staff at New ID are really lovely and really listen to what it is that you want and they don’t just take over and do what they want, you get to have a lot of input and that really impressed me!

My friend told me about Burlingtons and New ID studio. I wanted to have a makeover done but I have had several bad experiences at several high-end salons, so I was skeptical. Scheduling was quick and easy, and the front-desk staff was cordial and efficient (showing me around, introducing me to most of the staff, offering me my choice of beverages while I waited, I went for the bucks fizz). And my stylist was superb. She took the time to ask about my lifestyle and styling skills, really listened to what I wanted, and did a great job of sorting out my horrible haircut. I have tight curly hair which was set upon by the last stylist I saw. So I needed to get a good job done, and that was precisely what I got from Burlingtons. If you want great pictures to be able to look back at when you are older and grayer well at New ID studio you can. Having my pictures taken there was an experience I'll never forget. The enviroment was fun and i had a good time at my session. And the great part is, is that you can see it in the pictures. My pictures turned out better than what I expected and I'm so happy with them. Everyone working there was so friendly and warming. They are very professional but know how to have fun and make you have fun also. I wouldn't have wanted to get my pictures done anywhere else but New ID. So if you want an outstanding makeover and photoshoot go to Burlingtons and New ID studio . You won't regret it.

I really enjoy my makeup class! you can see that she is a makeup artist and a very good one! Provides good advise and personalised touch (the 3 hours workshop just flys-by) I will stronly recomend to anyone looking for tips and a good fun (you get to practice using really good makeup!!)

I happened upon Burlingtons and New ID one day as I was shopping. So I thought I would pop in to see what they had to offer, and what they did have to offer was great value for money I thought. So I spoke to the very polite young lady at the desk and she explained to me what they had to offer me. I didn’t want to spend too much money so I went for the beauty on the go makeover, as it was only 25pounds. I thought that looked like a great deal seeing as I was offered free drinks throughout. I was a good girl I had a cup of tea to start off as I was sat down for my consultation. They told me that they had time to start straight away if I wanted. So I thought lets go for it and I paid my money and got ready for my time in this beautiful looking salon. The total time I was in from when I walked in the door and was sat in the makeup and stylist chair was great. I was then offered a bucks fizz which I would never say no to. I didn’t feel rushed but it felt like I was dealing with real professionals. They cleaned my face to make a clean page and set about me. The make up girl and the stylist were obviously friends and enjoyed their work because it showed they worked in perfect harmony and they really had fun with me which made my time even more enjoyable spent in New ID. When they were finished with me there wasn’t a larger smile in the place than mine. I looked stunning, different, but stunning. The darker shade and my new styled hair went together so well and I would have never have thought of it myself. I am really critical and cynical about hair salons or maybe I just don't remember the last time I went to a salon to get my hair professionally cut and came out feeling happy with my finished hair style and after so many bad experiences in the past, I avoided it as much as possible until now and i found New ID. I saw so many good reviews about New ID, I went with them. From the start, they knew exactly what I wanted and what I didn't want. They really listened to me so they could achieve the results i wanted. Their skills are superb, not to mention the stylist has an awesome personality. She's easy to talk with and definitely made this a great experience. She also gave me helpful tips on how to style my hair once I had left. When the hair and makeup session were over I looked great and was really excited about having my photos taken. I was shown into the photographer’s studio. I was made to feel so comfortable and relaxed that the time spent there just flew by. When my days experience was over I sat down to view the pictures that had been taken and choose which ones I wanted to have if any. New ID studio was shown to me by my boyfriends sister, Nancy, who is a regular there. I needed a haircut and my regular salon in these hard times has sadly had to close. So I let her take me down the path to New ID. Before we went she showed me the pictures that she had done when she was last there and my god she looked fabulous in them. She explained to me it was a great salon for your hair but as an added bonus you got the photoshoot to boot. You get one free print at the end with the choice of buying many more and if you want to go completely crazy you can spend thousands of pounds. Well that really wasnt for me. We went on their website and checked out what deals and packages they had and what a smart move that was because they had the deal of the century buy one makeover photoshoot get one free. We both looked at each other and grinned. So we phoned and booked the deluxe package which at fifty pounds was very cheap, even cheaper as it was two for one. When we arrived at the salon I let Nancy take control but it seemed to me if I had turned up on my own the day would have run as seamlessly as it did anyway. All the staff at New ID went out of their way to make our visit there a pleasant one. The initial consultation was great and as we were sitting sipping our free bucks fizz as we chatted it was a great start to our day. The day just got better and better. The hair stylist was great and produced a great style for me and Nancys was lovely also. We sat down for our make up session and that was fun fun fun. I learnt a few new tricks which I was sworn to secrecy not to tell, if you want to know you'll have to book and go. But I must add that my favourite part of the day was the photoshoot. Oh what fun it was. Nancy and I took turns but they let us pose together as well, and my favourite picture was of us two girls together looking fab and it was great finish to a great day. When we left I was now a follower of the New ID idea and when my hair needs a lift next month at least I will be rushing back there and this time I will take some more money to spend because I have my eye on that sweet looking album which has a place waiting on my table at home. I had a really bad cut and blowdry at a salon and after the snobbish staff didn’t back down and apologise to me I stormed out with my hair a right mess, luckily for me I passed Burlingtons and New ID Salon and decided to go in and see if I could get a consultation there. I explained my situation and they immediately sat me down and explained what they could do for me. I looked at my surroundings and booked an appointment for as soon as possible and that luckily enough for me was the following day. When I arrived I was offered a drink so of course I said yes, I love bucks fizz, the hair stylist was super friendly and we never ran out of things to talk about while I was sitting in her chair. I also appreciate that she wasn't pushy about products or services. She did however, give wonderful advice regarding styling my hair myself which, I am the first to admit, is not my forte. If you're looking for a stylist who has the experience, personality and skill to make you look great, Burlingtons and New ID is the place to go. The thing that made my day special was the make up session and then the photoshoot. My first and not my last. What a blast I had. Standing, sitting posing and pouting I was made to feel and look special. The final photos were stunning I only kept the one free photo I was given but I am going back to get some more shots and I will be buying more prints and maybe even an album they looked so great. One salons loss is Burlingtons and New id studio’s gain. I will plug this place everywhere I go to everyone I meet. A few months ago, my morning routine was simple - get up, shower, shampoo and air dry, go to work. Not any more. Since I had my makeover at the New ID studio and salon where they worked there magic on me, now I have to get up, do my hair the way I was showed how to by the staff at New ID. Because I have gotten so many compliments on my hair. I now have to live up to the standard. I have even started using product, which I never did before. Inside New ID is an awesome photography studio. When i took my pictures there my photographer had all these ideas and worked around with my ideas. All the pictures came out great, It was hard to choose my favorites! They're all so incredibly nice and make you feel right at home when you go there! So if you haven’t had a makeover before this is the place to go. They make you feel comfortable and the environment is awesome!!!! For sure if you want good creative pictures go see them at New ID. All my pictures turned out great there wasnt one picture that I hated. i love them and me and my boyfriend are soon going for a deluxe makeover photoshoot for two. And when I do iam going to get the extra prints and even one of the photo albums which were lovely but I wasn’t going to buy it myself when I can make my future husband buy them for me. Thank you New ID I appreciate what you did for me so so much.

I went to the salon this week to get a Crystal facial and an eyelash perm.
The staff were really friendly and lovely. The salon is quiet small, but very clean and pleasant.

The treatments were lovely although a little pricey, yet worth it.

The New ID studio has by far the best stylist I have ever met, the cut I had was superb. I was extremely lucky that I found this warm, inviting space. The place is cute, attitude-free and there's a nice vibe about the entire shop. They did an amazing job preparing my hair, washing it, and they used some products which I had not used before on my hair to give it more life. It worked like a charm! I’ve never had such great results before. My hair is straight, but with body, and I can still style it, too! Great job! After the cut, they styled my hair for me too. Overall, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. When I entered the photography studio I was guided to the back dressing room to change. I am very happy with the end product. I loved the opportunity to choose what photos i wanted. I am recommending New ID for doing an exceptional photography shoot and they were very professional and were in high spirits which helped me enjoy the session even more. Most photography places are high pressure sales retail establishments, but when I visited New ID Studio I felt immediately at home in a family atmosphere that was all about people and making them smile. They are just plain great at creating unique pictures with natural smiles that sell themselves. At no time did I feel pressured and left there feeling as if I had gone to visit friends. The entire staff seemed to pitch in so that our pictures were perfect. I left looking forward to my next visit. Two thumbs up and five stars for New ID

Mixed feelings!!!

I wish I didn't feel this way as the staff were really nice and friendly, including the owner, Fernando but I also feel as if he manipulated the situation so that I was out of pocket.

I bought the £30 deal which entitled me to £100 worth of treatments. Had a semi-permanent color for £43 and a mini-facial for £30, which meant I had £27 left to spend on another treatment.

I specifically asked not to have a blow-dry after my hair treatment and was reassured by the colorist that I wasn't being charged only to find that I had!!! Left the salon feeling conned which was NOT a nice experience.

Sorry that I feel this way Fernando, esp as you so kindly gave me some echinacea as I was feeling unwell but it's the truth I'm afraid.

My son went to New ID to have a much needed makeover, his girlfriend got the gift for him and I was really amazed that he went because he had never done anything like that before and I was very sure that it was not the sort of thing that he would enjoy on any level but madly enough he had a great time and came round to tell me all about it and honestly I have never seen him so enthused, they had certainly done a great job of his hair and he looked better than I had seen him look in years. So it was with great joy that on my birthday a voucher turned up for me to go and have one, he had paid for me to go and enjoy, I was a bit worried about it as I was going alone and felt a bit self conscious, I had no idea what to take clothes wise, they said that I could take up to four outfits but I got into such a two and eight about it I took about six tops and five skirts, a dress and a jump suite, I expected them to be really cross but the girls were great and thought it was quite funny, we had such a lovely time at the consultation working out which of the clothes I was going to wear, I don’t know why but I was really surprised how friendly they all were. They talked me into going in for a very different hair style than anything I had had before and I was a bit worried about that but it turned out great and really suited my face, I still love the style and I know I will keep up with it, I could hardly keep a straight face for the pictures I think it was nerves but they came out great and I brought five of them and I only really wanted two. I am very happy with the picture and we always have a laugh about how my son got me to do something that I thought he would never do in a million years!

I booked a treatment for permanent make up as my natural eyebrow grows just a little, every 3 to 5 years I am refreshing old tattoos instead. The salon is very easy to find. After feeling some forms, the therapist step by step explained to me the procedure and applied some anaesthetic cream. I was really pleased how Penny found exact colour mixture and patiently pencil in different shapes until our full satisfaction. The result was just perfect. I would highly recommend her as a professional permanent make – up therapist as she definitely knows what she is doing and I enjoying my new eyebrows and receiving compliments about them.

What a lovely salon. The staff here are absolutely fantastic. Really friendly, no false trendyness. I had a facial (which I couldnt select on the list), and a haircut. The haircut was the best that I have had in a long time. My hair looks great. The stylist really seemed to take time out to make sure he was doing the best job possible. I enjoyed the facial too. If I was to have one criticism it would be that it is too noisy in the treatment room, you can hear people in the salon talking all the way through the treatment. It doesnt matter too much for a facial, but wouldnt be ideal for a massage. Great place though, Ill be back.

I booked a Deluxe Makeover for two for my daughter and I, she is one of those kids that just does not care about her appearance which is completely opposite to me and for years I have been trying to get her to do more with herself and the more I try the worse she gets. She is off to University next year so I felt I was running out of time to make a change for her and then I found New iD on line when I was looking for an eyeliner of all things and thought it would be a fun thing for us to do and also a last ditch attempt to get her to do something with herself.
The voucher I got for her was received with mixed feelings really I think, part of her thought it would be fun but I could see that part of her was thinking it was just me trying to get her to do things that she didn’t really want to do again! Anyway she agreed to come along and we both got a warm welcome, she had a Bucks Fizz that seemed to go down pretty well, it was a bit too early in the day for me so I stuck to coffee. We had our hair done first, I had not long had mine done so just got a trim but Jane has a super cut put into her very long hair and some layers that gave it a lot more body and even she said that she was happy with it. We then went for the makeup and the difference in Jane was astounding, I always have makeup on so mine, although good was not so pronounced, Jane could not stop looking at herself.
We then went into have the pictures done, Jane had taken the usual jeans and a top but I had taken her a dress along which to my surprise she was happy to put on for some of the pictures and she looked stunning. I could tell in the viewing session she was very happy with the way she looked and I am pleased to report she has been making lot more effort with herself so mums out there if you daughter looks a mess get her to New ID

After I had been pestered by my sister to go for a photoshoot for some time, something that I personally did not think it was my thing but i decided to take the leap and let someone at the New ID cut and style my hair. And then go and have the photoshoot like I had been told about. After reading reviews here from other customers, i was inspired to visit the salon. The salon staff were friendly and professional. There are no pretentious attitudes and the atmosphere is very welcoming. After my first free drink which was a lovely glass of fizzy wine ( I wouldn’t call it champagne). I had a small consultation about what I thought and what they thought. Then I was sat down with by far the best most detailed talented stylist i have come across in an absolute age, not to mention how personable and down to earth she was. My haircut just just falls into place. The layers are perfectly done and it makes it so easy to style. They also gave me tips on how to style my hair that no other stylist offered! The photo session that I was forced into by my big bully of a sister (joking Suzy) was really really fun. They were professional, and captured some great moments. I can say as a makeover virgin I don't remember too much that was going on. I was unorganized and they set me on the right track and I let them have their way with me. Their pictures were real and beautiful. Best Photographers ever, even though they were my first. They captured everything that was good about me. They worked with me and gave me the perfect memories I could have asked for. I would recommend then to anybody and everybody. You couldn't ask for better. P.S. Affordable without being cheap.

Been looking for a place for years to have semi permanent make up on my eyebrows, so glad i chose Ladybird very happy with the results will be returning to have retouch.

I was lucky enough to be bought a Pamper Day as a present for my birthday. Having never been to anything like it before I was very unsure on what to expect. Wow what can I say, it was a truly amazing and uplifting day. It's hard to pick my favorite treatment. What I can say is I left the beautiful surrounds of the Lonan Cottage spa feeling invigorated and truly pampered. I recommend this day to all the ladies out there.

The experience was so so but be aware they keep your bank details on there system to buy more photograph at a later time . i'm still waiting for my refund that could take 1 month before i get back my money........

. I just got my photo frame from my makeover at New ID and I am happier with it than I could ever have dreamed it is excellent. After a wonderful makeover I thought it would be really nice to really splash out, the pictures were so much better than I could ever have anticipated to after much deliberation I chose to purchase the Premier B frame, it looks fantastic, there is a large central photo and then 12 around the edge, it was a bit of an investment but I got a good payment deal and for me it is worth every penny. What I really love about it is the central panel is an LCD screen so you can have a rolling picture that changes or you can keep one and then change it as you feel like it. Its great and everybody has commented on it, it has made me feel really good about myself as even though I have to say it myself I look really fabulous in all of the pictures. The actual makeover was great, the studio was really busy and I am not really a very big fan of being around a lot of people in a small space but it was really good fun and all of the other people that were there that day seemed to be having as much fun as I was and we got along really well together, in fact two of the ladies, Jade and Amy have kept in touch with me and they are coming over next week to see my frame, I bet they end up wishing that they had taken that offer as well! All of the staff at New ID made me feel very welcome and they made sure that I got the look that I wanted, I was happy with that because I was a bit afraid that I would not have much of a say in the matter but they were great and checked all along that I was happy with everything. It will be a few years before I go again but I have every intention of doing so, it did wonders for my self esteem!

I had a great session at the New ID salon. I just happened to be passing and went for a quick look inside. I ended up staying inside for a few hours and had a smashing time. The cost was tiny compared to what I have paid before just for a simple cut. This included style with some time with a photographer. It was a great looking salon from the outside and inside was just as delicious. The sense of teamwork was incredible at the New ID studio. It seemed to me that they believe in 100% customer satisfaction. They made sure I was taken care of all the while I was there. I am very pleased with the way my hair came out. They obviously make effort to stay knowledgeable about the different hair products which you can buy while you are there. and keep on doing what you're doing! My husband loved my hairstyle and my children were shocked and could not stop smiling. My family said I looked totally different in a very good way. Thank you New ID Studio for all you have done on such short notice it was greatly appreciated. From the scalp massage to the bucks fizz and refreshments, it was the best experience I've had in a long time. I will definitely return for future services

went with family for makeover and pics, embarrassing pressure selling left us feeling mugged by end of process. Outrageous immoral pressure when they know parents want the pictures end up paying £ 200 for 3 extra prints on CD and they try to kid you your getting a good deal!! Once I've calmed down would like to know where in Dept of fair trade I report such selling? Let's see if this gets printed?

I had a really super time at the New ID studio where I had a makeover last week. Having never had a makeover before I didn’t really know what to expect but even so it was still a lot better than I expected. First of all I got a very genuinely nice welcome from a young but very professional girl on the reception who handled my booking in a very professional manner indeed. She showed me to a seat where I was asked to fill in a couple of forms before I was offered a drink of Bucks fizz and taken down to have my hair washed cut and blow dried. Before they started a very nice lady came over and asked me a few questions about how I wanted to look and we worked out the best plan of action that would work with the three outfits that I had taken along for the ride. They did a superb job of my hair and I was very pleased with the cut and the style and they way they set it. After that was done I had another drink while having a chat with the very pleasant makeup artist who made sure we were both on the same page before going ahead and doing my glamorous look that we had decided on and that went just as well as the hair it was all very impressive. The photo studio was already in use so I had about a ten minute wait for that and then it was ready for action time, I had fully expected to feel very self conscious during the photo shoot but in fact I was a lot of fun and all very relaxing. I was shown the photos afterwards by a very sweet young guy who had a very nice way with him and he helped me to choose the best pictures. I did not feel pressurized to buy more than I wanted which was nice because it would have ruined it. I was very impressed all round with New ID and would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody, it was all round a very good service.

WOW WOW WOW! I have to say this because I have just received my Album and it is an amazing thing to behold. The day I spent at the New ID studio and salon will never be forgotten. They understood and listened to my wants and needs, while at the same time they were able to offer suggestions on what will look good....and it always does! Whether it's cut or color, they are extremely talented and I have never found another stylist who can come anywhere close! I assure you that if you come to New ID once you will come again. The Salon is also very cute. I came to the salon for a big makeover. When I was done I was in awe how everyone remembered what I looked like before, noticed the finish result and commented on my new beautiful look. The attention to detail and to each individual client really impressed me! I tried to find a decent hairdresser for ages. I have tried over a dozen hairstylists, including two previous managers of Vidal Sassoon. Neither of them could cut my hair and both of them had prima donna attitudes. This was all without the photo session at the end which really made the whole day so special. So I repeat myself with WOW WOW WOW. Go book an appointment today.

I went to get my hair done and believe me...it really looked bad and I was almost embarrassed to go and let someone do it!! It was such a mess I really wanted to give myself esteem a boost. I didn’t get any help from anyone so wanted professional help. I found the New ID site and saw that several people had used them with great results. I have severe cowlicks and very few people can cut my hair without it standing up all over my head. I had an amazing stylist who managed to control my hair and he seemed to understand and listened to my wants and needs, while at the same time is able to offer suggestions on what will look good as the style would grow out. New ID run a great business, and are a fantastic bunch to work with. I didn’t know what was coming before I walked into the studio. The photos turned out beautifully, and although the cost was higher than I expected, it was worth every penny in the end. If you are looking for a true makeover in the London area, I highly recommend their service! Almost any photography studio can have you walking out with a picture that is frame worthy, but how many can have you walking out feeling like you had great time and leave you with a beautiful new hair-do and amazing pictures? New ID Salon and studio is full of great energy and fantastic talent. Highly recommended.

I went to the Wahanda evening with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Upon arriving we were greeted warmly and directed to an area with free drinks and food. Once seated a lady came over to ask us if we would like a mini treatment and my friend and I both opted for facials.

The facial was lovely and my therapist was brilliant, advising me on areas of my skin that were dry and reccomending products to use.

Afterwards I had my makeup done and that was great too. The makeup artist was lovely and very friendly.

All in all it was a great evening with lots of freebies and treatments.

Wow! What a great place! Myself & 3 friends went & had an amazing time. The decor, the smells, the food, the atmosphere were all fantastic but what stood out most of all was the wonderful friendly, caring & helpful staff. Hope to see more Wahanda deals for the Owl House as we definitely want to return. What an amazing place! The only thing missing was a pool but I was told plans are in place .

I personally think that what makes a salon a great experience is the attitude of the Staff - from the cleaning staff - right up to the Stylists and Owners. The sense of Teamwork at The New ID Studio and Salon was terrific. The young lady at the front desk checked me in quickly and efficiently. My stylist looked at the shape of my face and gave me suggestions as to what she thought would look best on me. She gave me a caramel base with lighter highlights and left the long length that I had but added lots of textured layers. I have never received so many compliments on my hair and I love it!! Watching the young new stylists, observe the Master Stylists with respect and enthusiasm - soaking up every bit of knowledge they could - was amazing.
Then it was off for my pictures to be taken and again I saw nothing but professionalism and integrity. Everyone seemed to loved what they were doing which made for an exciting atmosphere. The energy in the New ID salon was electric - the helpful attitude and attention to the client are first rate. The photographer conducted himself in a considerable manner by going above and beyond. Not only is he a professional in photography, but his gift is unique and original. Everything that was pledged to me from this lovely place called New ID for the day I had was not only met but it exceeded my expectations. I cannot wait to receive my album. When I moved down to London, things were incredibly hectic and not what I expected, my health took a real turn for the worse and because of my illness my personal care went down the drain .After I came through my illness I decided to visit the New ID studios for a photoshoot and makeover. I needed to have a boost to my ego. It sounded and looked like it would be fun. I visited the New ID Studio just round the corner from Oxford Circus and was very, very impressed--it's definitely one of my best finds in London. I was really pleased with the consultation and proceeding hair wash cut and gotta give top marks for the head and hand massage I was given. The girls that treated me were amazingly knowledgeable and very attentive, and really made sure to tailor the new style to my preferences and skin type. They also really focused on making the entire experience enjoyable, The hair stylist was a wealth of knowledge and didn’t mind me picking her brain, which is a great for an annoyingly curious client like me. Then I was out of the chair and off to change then into the photo studio. I don't think I could have made a better decision. Not only was the entire New ID team professional and warm and wonderful, but the photos are too. Even now when I look at them, I can't help but be impressed by how great they are and how great I look in them. All in all, highly recommended and a great find!

Came in and expected the royal treatment, but shocked at the low value of the experience. Kerrie, the supervisor, made inappropriate comments and hurried me along.

The photoshoot, which I had had done previously a couple of years ago, was shockingly poor. The young man (fresh out of uni?) was dark haired and polite, but with a sleazy tone. Kept going on about his "other work".

Overall the makeover was gaudy and the afternoon alternately rushed and boring. The management should be ashamed of themselves for letting these people into a respectable salon.

I had never been to New ID Studio before, and they are fantastic! After going to several of the bigger name salons and not being happy with my cut. I found New ID on the internet. I gave them a try and now i wouldn't go anywhere else. I read the reviews and decided. This is the place I will entrust with my hair and the photoshoot.
It is a beautiful trendy salon, and it is a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I used to dread going to the salon, this place me me look forward to the occasion.
I have strawberry blonde hair that has started to go gray, and I wanted some photos before I lost all of my natural colour. I had a fantastic hair cut. What a wonderful experience all the staff were very attentive. I was very impressed that the stylist came over to take a look, offered her advice on what I needed to do in the future, I loved that, and how to maintain my hair after I had left and then she wanted to see the end result. The wonderful feeling that i had on the day was brought back to the fore the moment my pictures arrived home. The New ID photographer tailored his service beautifully to suit my individual needs and was so unobtrusive on the day. We received our pictures an all-in all hassle free experience and excellent value for money
Just really impressed with the business pride at this studio. Even the cashier was extremely polite and offered her advise. Check out New ID, you won't be sorry!!! and the prices are reasonable.

I didn’t really have a huge budget for New ID and I have read in a few places that they can be pretty big on the old hard sell, so I went in there ready for it and told them from the off what I had to spend and they were totally fine about it, I thought that I may have been treated a little worse than people that had a lot of money to spend but not at all, I could see the way the others were being treated and I was treated just the same, so that made me really happy that I had chosen them as they are obviously a really good and really professional outfit and they don’t do things like that.
What I liked best was the way that they actually talk to you to find out what look you want and more importantly what look you don’t want, they make very helpful suggestions if you are like me and go in there with no idea what you are after really, I mean I had taken the outfits I wanted to have my shots taken in but they did a great job of suggesting the sort of hair style that would match them and of course the makeup, I had mainly taken evening wear so we went for a sort of sultry look that I really liked and makeup wise I hope that I will be able to achieve again with a bit of practice. I have since brought a few of the products that they used off their website, they are really quite affordable and they are really nice to use.
I was feeling very relaxed and confident when it came to going in front of the camera and they made it a lot of fun and it all felt very laid back.
As promised I got on drama in the viewing session, spent my budget and now all I have to do is wait for the pictures to turn up, I cant wait.

I'm 31 and although I adore colour I've always been cautious about wearing it on my face. This is mostly down to a lack of confidence and knowledge about how to apply makeup. I did the one day course at Rouge which was an amazing introduction, well actually more than an intro, an amazing in-depth lesson on makeup from base to finish. I went on my own so was a little bit nervous but the other girls attending were lovely and i felt very comfortable and included. The class was small enough that the make-up artist Astra was able to give individual attention to all of us which made a huge difference. She really knew her stuff but was completely down to earth and didn't make any of us feel silly no matter how basic our questions were. She was also so encouraging when we made the most hilarious gaffs with bronzer or eyeliner, showing us how to fix them and persuading us just to keep going! We covered bases (all different types), blush and contouring, eye liner (all types) and my arch nemesis (!) eye shadow! Eye shadow is something I've wanted to know how to wear forever but have always been pretty awful at putting it on. But we covered a day look, how to convert that into a night eye when you left the office and then a smoky eye from scratch. It was so much fun and incredible to see how much we could pick up in a short time! I was pretty hooked after that and as I was going on holidays to the US the following week Astra helped me write a list of good products to buy. It was a mashup between a dozen different brands which was good as you didn't feel she was pushing one brand on you. None were crazy expensive and most things I'd already tried in the class, so it really was the perfect way to go shopping. Then when I came back I booked in for a 1:1 lesson with Astra as I wanted to learn more and we used all of my own products and my new brushes (which she kindly reminded me again which was which...). That was a seriously fun session. In general the group and 1:1 session's were some of the best purchases I've ever made. I learned how to apply makeup the way I want it, and I built up a makeup kit that takes me from day to night, but I use ALL of it, rather than buying something that doesn't suit me or that I don't know how to use. More than anything, having fun with the girls I met at the class (I'm still in touch with them) and getting 1:1 time with a trainer like Astra did wonders for my self confidence. Great fun, lots to learn and really recommend!

I was considering having a hairstyle and some photos taken. I've grown accustomed to cutting my hair myself due to the fact that every time i go to a hair salon and try and get my hair cut i am usually EXTREMELY unhappy with the outcome. I always try to bring a photo of what i like and am as descriptive as possible, and for some reason my hair just doesn't come out how i want or expected. Maybe I’m just a difficult customer. So anyway, I wanted to cut my hair very short, and i wasn’t sure i could cut it myself this time. I went on to google and typed in for some local spots and after reading some reviews decided to head over to New Id studios. Their web site was easily accessible, and it gave me all the information I needed I went there feeling uneasy, but left feeling so happy. She was sure to give me exactly what i wanted, even referencing the photo more than once to be sure i got what i asked for. She was very friendly and upbeat, which added to the experience by making me comfortable. Next up was the photoshoot and I recommend this photographer without hesitation. I was so pleased with the work we did. It is hard to find a photographer who is trustworthy and has so much dedication to his work that he won't stop shooting until he feels satisfied. The New ID staff were so professional, but at the same time so laid-back you can't help but feel comfortable when working with them. Thanks for the day I cannot wait to get the framed pictures back and on my wall.

I was bought a lovely present for my 32nd birthday. It was a day out at the New ID studios and a rightly called Deluxe photo package with a haircut and style too. Along with the pampering a professional photoshoot was to come at the end. I was so looking forward to my day there. I have some pictures of myself that do not do me justice. I am so grateful to have been given this present.
I had a really bad hair job from another place so my hair was a wreck when I walked in the New ID salon I had at least 6 different colors on my head. I then sat down and I had a cut and blow and it is fabulous! I have been going to another top salon for a long time and I have been slowly getting more upset with the styles that I was coming out with. I used to always be looking forward to get my hair done. And now I may have found the salon which could be my new place of choice
The patience that they had at the photo session was amazing. When i saw my photos i was speechless. I can’t thank New ID enough. They have given me the memory that will last a life time. a small price to pay for a gift i will always cherish. They are a wonderful team who care about their clients and go above and beyond a business relationship. Anyone that has a negative comment is a disgrace. They are worth every penny and a job well done. I am so happy i chose them to do my makeover and never will i go anywhere else. Thank you for the memories of me in these photographs.

New ID Studio…All I can say is WOW!!!!!
I had some pictures taken at another makeover company and was sorely disappointed. So I was very skeptical about finding another photo studio. Based on the reviews that I read I chose New ID and I am very happy I did, everything came out like I was being published in a magazine. Someone wrote that New ID was un-professional and a pressure selling company, I have no idea what happened with that shoot but from what I saw they were professional, artistic, innovative and they acted like perfectionists. I would highly recommend New ID
At first, I was a little worried that they really did listen to me and left my hair a bit long (no one ever listens so I stress the length) while taking off just enough and that they wasn't so creative. I was worried that the cut I asked for lacked cutting edge style. But they took control and made sure my new look was modern and up to date.
I was a little bothered that they took awhile to get my photo album back but all that vanished when I saw this book. My sister told me she got her book back in 6 weeks after her makeover and photoshoot and I was pushing the New ID staff to get mine back just as fast. Well they explained that they custom design everything In-house and they did not like to use templates to create albums. They also stated everyone was unique to them. Well I must say I have not seen anything like this photo album before. Thanks New ID for something that made me happy immediately and something that will keep me happy for years to come with my album.

I was told about New ID and shown the finished photographs by my very bestest friend. She would be the first to say she don’t take a good picture, and I would have to agree. But the finished pictures that she finally got sent through from NewID made her look like a superstar. I did not know how they had did it and she was booking a second appointment to go and I just had to go with because I like her am very unphotogenic. I thought the day would drag because I was told to be there for at least 6 hours but to my surprise and pleasure the day sped past. The consultant girl was lovely and told me a few things that I had never heard before. Then I had a haircut and wash and the girl who did the cutting was a little cutie and was unresponsive to my pathetic advances, but she took it in the right way and soon I went in for the photos to be taken. The studio looked great and there were loads of different styles to have as my ‘backdrop’ I wanted a red backdrop because as my friend s witty remark was it matched my eyes. When the final pictures were taken I sat down to look at the end results and I don’t know what they did but the pictures were the best I have ever seen of my ugly mug. I will treasure these photos till the end of time. P.S im going back because the haircut was great.

Quite quiet, but well received by the hairdresser/make up artist. She was very friendly and pleasant and styled my hair and make up really beautifully. However it is unlikely that I would pay what would amount to double if I hadn't had the Wahanda offer - as it was there was not enough time to do either the mini facial or brow treatment which were supposed to have been included.

I thought the New ID experience was fantastic and really amazing value for money. I thought the makeover was very comprehensive, the facial was superb, and I was impressed with the amount of tips and advice the professional makeup artist was willing to part with to make sure I continued to be able to look my best even after the makeover.’
The hair salon is amazing, the lady that washed my hair gave me a head massage at the same time, I really enjoyed that, it was superb. I had a nice cut and the lady that blew dry my hair did an excellent job on it, have never had a straightener put through my hair before, I quite like having a bit of a wave but the way they did it looked really classy and elegant and I am going to order one online and try to do it again myself, I was very impressed.
I liked having my pictures taken but not as much as I thought I would, some of the poses that the y tried to get me into for me seemed a bit childish, I think they were after fun shots and something quite modern and not too serious where I really wanted some sort of portrait shots but I got those too, I was happy with those but to me it seemed like a bit of a waste of time doing all the other ones as well as I told them that is not what I was after.
The follow up to see the pictures was great, I didn’t get the hard sell, they, of course are going to get you to try to buy as many of the shots as they can get you to buy but they did it in a very nice way so I would be very happy to recommend this makeover experience.

Scin is usually lovely, but Snapshot Glamour just rent some rooms and it showed. I didn't have a proper chair for the pedicure so had to rest my feet on the therapist's lap. The therapist didn't usually do pedicures - not surprised as she smudged three nails and had to re-do them! My make-upwas in a crapped room which I had to share with someone else without a mirror.

My hair was just blow dryed (no expalined this ahead of the appointment so it was dirty)

Not a great experience this is the first Wahanda i would not recommend.

I was lucky enough to have day at the New ID studio that was bought and paid for by my husband. And what a great day out I had. New ID absolutely exceeded my expectations and made my experience fun and exciting. I learned a lot and I really appreciated the time that I spent with the consultant and hair stylist. The photography session was the most fun I have had in a long while standing sitting and many other poses which I was put in to make the photos that I would later be allowed to choose from better than I have ever had done before. I did have to wait a while to receive the photo album which I or should I say my husband bought for me. The reaction when I showed my friends and family was pretty amazing. My younger sister was so jealous she booked a day out with New ID straight away but I said there was no way that I would let her have the same experience I had unless I went with her. So now I am looking forward to revisiting the studio again even though I have been before and now know what to expect I cannot wait to see how much fun my sister has and what her final pictures will come out looking like. It proved to me with just a small change in style of hair and colours and styles of make up and a few costume changes it can make you look and feel like a completely new woman.

I went to New ID to celebrate the fact that I have recently got rid of a very horrible man out of my life, dropped a stone and a half and had breast implants.
I was already feeling very good about myself and I thought that having a New ID makeover would make me feel even better and it would just as it says on their website, a chance to see how great I can look
The makeover that I had made me look and feel amazing, and I was very happy with the way that the makeover was carried out.
The New ID team do a wonderful job and even though there is a lot to the makeover the way they do it on the day is fantastic, one part of the makeover flows naturally into the other and it all works out very well.
I loved the makeup and the consideration the makeup artists put into what they are going to do before they do it, you are very involved in your makeover and you have plenty of input, this I found to he very good because I don’t like people just doing things to me without my input so I found this to be very agreeable.
I was over the moon with the entire experience and I enjoyed the photo session immensely.
In terms of quality the hair and makeup, and photo shoot and prints were all over and above what I had expected.
I came out of New ID walking on air and would recommend this company and this experience to anybody that would like to feel good about themselves for what ever reason.
To me this is something girls, and even guys for that matter should do every couple of years to give yourself a boost.
