My therapist was Christina, and I really enjoyed what she did - her body analysis and the actual work. The intensity of the massage varied, depending on the area she was treating - and the wrap she applied did really seem effective.
MYSELF AND A FRIEND TRIED THIS TREATMENT AT THE END OF FEBRUARY AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY I NOTICED NO IMPROVEMENT. MY FRIEND NOTICED A SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT IN HER CELLULITE BUT NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT AND WE BOTH DIDN'T LOOSE ANY WEIGHT. THE COURSE INVOLVES YOU CYCLING IN A POD FOR 30 MINUTES 3 TIMES PER WEEK AND YOU FOLLOW A STRICT DIET PLAN OF CARBS BEFORE HYPOXI AND PROTEIN AFTERWARDS. AFTER THE FOURTH SESSION WE BOTH REALISED THAT 30 MINUTES OF EXERCISE 3 TIMES A WEEK, CUTTING OUT THE RUBBISH AND EATING PROTEIN WOULD HELP YOU LOOSE WEIGHT ANYWAY SO THE HYPOXI MACHINE ISNT REALLY DOING MUCH. IF YOU WANT TO TONE UP THEN JOIN A GYM OR ATTEND SOME EXERCISE CLASSES, YOU WILL GET BETTER RESULTS OVERALL AND BE £400 BETTER OFF.

Hidden behind the main shopping street of Knightsbridge is an unimpressive shop front on a back alleyway, but dont be dissuaded by the appearance, as they say don't just a book by its cover. Inside the ambience improves and the benefits of it being off the high street is the lack of london noise pollution! The therapist is well trained and amends the therapy to suit your needs which is a big plus for me.
My only complaint was that when I arrived there wasnt anyone at the reception and after a few minutes of me hanging around not really sure what to do with myself a guy who was on the gym machines stopped working out and told me to wait in a waiting area where I was left for ten minutes before I went to find him again to ask what was happening as had a feeling I had been forgotten about. So the massage started 15 minutes late but was lovely as was the terapist :-)
Lymphatic Drainage Massage - During the treatment you lie down on the Hypoxi Dermologie bed wearing the suit which is connected to the Dermologie machine. The machine draws air out the suit and then controls the high and low pressure in the vacuum chambers. The vacuum draws fresh nutrient rich and oxygenated blood to the skin’s surface to stimulate lymphatic drainage for the removal of toxins, promotes tissue renewal and helps restore tissue connectivity.
Hypoxi Dermologie is ideal for men and women who want to refresh and rejuvenate their skin and improve circulation in a natural and relaxing way. It is an effective anti-ageing treatment, helping to restore a youthful apperance to the skin. It is suitable for all ages.
I took my best friend for the spa day as her birthday treat. We both really enjoyed the day as all we did was relaxed. The staff were excellent. Really lovely relaxing time, lovely service from the therapists. Would definately recommend to others!!!!
My first experience was great. I had a massage on a warm bed that was designed to make sure I relax while I was having my massage. I felt cared for during my massage and finished feeling relaxed. This is something I am looking forward to trying soon.
Tao Garden is a unique combination of Eastern and Western medicine, and this blend gives you a wealth of treatments to choose from and address your needs in the right day.
All the treatments I have ever received from Philip have always been exceptional. From the full 2 hour session spa body wrap to the simple 45 minute facial - fully satisfied. In November I have started three shiatsu sessions - absolutely fantastic! For all your desired treatments - this is the best place in Cardiff!
The love handler treatment massage left me bruised all over my lower back and it was really painful. Lasted a week with dark red bruising. Was not a nice expericence and I paid for it.
I went in for a 1 hour massage. In fact I was put in a suit. Anyway, the reception was nice but this is not worth 37 pounds! No therapist, just put me in a small room with a bubble suit. It is like an over price massage chair session.
The lympatic massage comprises rubbing your thighs, calves and belly with a detoxifying gel, then slipping into a belt and plastic water inflatable footless leggings. A machine inflates the leggings with water so that the pressure that builds up massages your thighs, breaks up cellulite and pumps toxins towards the lymph nodes in your groin and back. At first the pressure at the top of my thighs was very uncomfortable but the very friendly and attentive assistant made an adjustment to the water pressure and it felt fine. I was assured that after every treatment the "leggings" are disinfected and they certainly looked clean before I used them. My legs felt smoother after the treatement and as if I'd had a good workout. I would imagine that a series of 4 -6 treatments could make a considerable difference. I was also served some detox tea and water to help flush my system which was a nice touch. £12 was certainly excellent value as a taster for the treatment. Next time it's on offer I will buy several vouchers!
I bought several vouchers to try different treatments at Beauty and Tanning. I used one for lymphatic drainage. It is supposed to remove toxins out of your body. Well, interesting one, but was not exactly something special for me. I sweat a bit, which was probably it. Probably more sessions would do the trick.
No, they do not clean the lymphatic drainage suit after each session! I had been here before and the receptionist/therapist was much nicer than today who wanted me to take off the suit myself afterwards.
The treatment is good as it gives the legs a work out, HOWEVER as I left and was about to buy a package- a sweaty and hairy guy went into the room I just vacated and was told to put on the suit himself.. aargh.. Needless to say it put me off as to whose hairy legs etc had been in the suit I had just had on.. dashed home to have a bath..
This treatment is very relaxing and I thought it was good value for money. That staff were very friendly and helpfutasks they made me feel at ease. I have now purchased a course of 10!! Had my first session from the course yesterday and still very happy :)
It would obviously take more than one session to see results but it was definately relaxing once you get used to the odd sensation. Lily was attentive and was always popping in to check on me. I would book several sessions in the run up to the summer hols
I cannot recommend this salon enough. First Class. Amanda is extremely professional and friendly. I have been visiting for over 6 months and had various treatments all of which have been excellent. Great ambience and unintimidating. Not only offers a great service but is extremely helpful and goes out of her way care for you. Since going to the clinic my skin has never looked better and people have often commented on how much better my skin looks and feels. Dermalogica is brilliant and I am a converted user. Thank you.
I purchased a course from Wahanda and used only one treatment out of it. I found the whole plastic overall I had to wear and the massage highly uncomfortable despite various adjustments from the therapist and re-assurances many customers found it very relaxing. The therapy room was quite crumped and a bit shabby. Pity I have wasted cash for this course..
the salon is tucked away in back street of Knightsbridge Station. My therapist was extremely friendly and Made me comfortable during my treatment. I did the treatment four times and did notice a little change but guess u need at least 10 sessions to notice a real difference but without wahanda deal it's expensive! Oh well gym it is!!
I got a voucher for the Lynphatic Drainage as it was something I never tried before. The salon offers a range of different treatments and it is very easy to find as it is only a few minutes walk from Knightsbridge station. The staff was very friendly and offer me a soft drink as soon as I was shown the treatment room.
The lymphatic drainage machine was explained to me by the therapist and then I was left to relax and enjoy it for 30 minutes.
My legs felt much lighter and I could really feel the difference when walking down the street.I would defenetely raccomend it if your legs feel tired and you would like to get a good detoxing and relaxing massage.
I will go back to this salon as I enjoyed the easy going athmosphere and the treatment.
The staff - lady was really nice and she explained how everything works... what is the massage for and how my body will react. She advised me to drink lots of water. It was a good experience to try out this lymphatic drainage massage. The studio was also easy to find. And the price is good for what you get.
This was easy to book (rare for these deals).
The Therapist was very friendly and attentive and explained the procedure and results to expect. She brought me a drink while i sat with machine on and i found whole experience very relaxing.
Would definitely go back
I booked lymphatic drainage and red light collagen treatment and wanted to get them both together on one visit. I turned up the first time and I was unable to have the red light collagen treatment for some reason. The next time I turned up for the red light collagen treatment the machine broke (broken fuse or something similar) so this was a 2nd wasted journey. Both times the staff were very nice and courteous but I wasted a few hours of time so am not particularly happy. I have still not had the red light collagen treatment as now it feels like a real effort to get there.
The therapists at the London Beauty and Tanning Camden are great. They talk you through the procedure and make you at ease.
The salon is small and a bit old but cosy.
I am still in the middle of my inch loss Faradic massage treatment so not sure about the results yet.
I went with my friend, overall had a great experience. Therapist was really friendly and professional. Booking the treatment was also very easy compare to my other experiences in past with other service provider.
The staff are very friendly and I was told I could do 1 hour and use 2 vouchers as it was more effective. I did feel more of a difference a few hours later.
I would recommend the treatment as its non invasive and relaxing. Also afterwards they offer you discounted packages which are worthwhile.
The venue is tucked away but easy to find. The staff were very friendly, helpful and it was easy to get an appointment.
The massage is very relaxing and I could have stayed there all day.
Not a plush place but good for a quick treatment, not expensive with really nice staff.
not much to say really. Legs go into funny trouser things & machine makes waves up & down legs adding pressure...a bit strange, but ok. Therapist was nice & friendly & helpfull.
The staff were pleasant and the treatment was interesting (a machine was used rather than a therapist) but unfortunately the premises were really run down - scruffy and in places quite dirty. Good value for a trial.
I have had Lymphatic Drainage before, so when I saw this great offer on Wahanda I just had to buy it. The location is great. The staff was friendly and the treatment was very relaxing.
The location was central however the treatment was done by a machine and it wasn't that relaxing because you could hear the loud music from the lobby. The facilities were very basic and I would not return for this treatment.
i loved the fact that its local and easy to find. the staff are very nice and welcoming. the treatment however should have lasted longer than 30 minutes. the environment was comfortable, playing relaxing music while having the treatment and some magazines to read also available.
Excellent therapist, very nice stuff, I would be back for Arasys treament as I think its fab- cheap and effective. Also liked the girl who ve done it for me. Place is small but central.
Following on from my previous review...
The massage was very relaxing, it was head, shoulders, stomach, back and both legs (front and back). This is a soft massage however, so if you are looking for something deeper then go for the Swedish massage. The facial massage was especially nice and very relaxing.
At the end of it I was half asleep - and covered in oil, so I would recomment taking shower products with you!
Having bought the £32 voucher for use of spa and one treatment for myself and my sister, we booked for a Sunday in October - we had booked this in early September.
The Spa was relatively easy to find, and when we arrived at reception we were told that not only had they lost our reservations but that Wahanda had advertised full use of the spa facilities which was not the case. They did let us know that in this case they would let us use the facilities, but that this was not part of the deal. They also informed us that the Sauna was out of order and asked why anyone hadn't informed us of this (I don' t know - possibly because you didn't call me?!?). It was a bit odd - we were asked to wait in the 'Relaxation room' whilst they tried to fit us in for our massages. After 5 minutes waiting we were informed we could be seen but that instead of started at 12 we needed to start at 11.30 - all fine and good. As long as we got our massages.
Whilst my sister was taken upstairs I made use of the wave pool - very small but nice to paddle around in. I soon got out and went to the relaxation room - staff checked in on me, showing me how to use the pool and asking if I was ok.
When I went up for my treatment I was led past reception (big glass windows overlooking the street) in my towel, which was a bit uncomfortable.
The Lymphatic massage itself was very nice, very relaxing. Unfortunately, we were supposed to get a 90 minute massage which ended up only being 60 minutes (this I suspect was because they were squeezing us in).
All in all it was a pleasant experience - and bring your own towel as they charge £1 for theirs. However, if this had been full price I would not have been happy considering the odd customer service we received, and the atmosphere in the spa isn't that relaxing, especially considering how cramped everything is.
Was an ok experience. It is local which always helps. However it isn't a luxury zen palace but certainly a great small venue that offers a number of good value treatments as well tanning.
The treatment itself was absolutely amazing! I came out feeling great. The therapist really knew what she was doing and I would completely recommend her.
It was suggested I arrived some time before the treatment so that I could enjoy the spa facilities. My biggest complaint would be that when I went down to the pool area, a male working followed and felt the need to clean the windows over and over again, making me feel extremely uncomfortable as I was the only one in the pool. The other small issue was that you had to go through reception in your robe in order to get to the treatment area. This wouldn't normally be a problems except that the salon has clear glass, exposing you to the streets - which isn't great when the robe (they charge for) you wear doesn't fit well.
I used my voucher for Inch Loss and it worked for me! I could see the results straight away which was a great feeling. I decided to continue my treatment and got a full course.
Staff is very friendly, and I had my treatment done with three therapists which were all great and professional.
The place itself could do with a bit of refurbishment... While the reception area is quite nice, both treatment rooms are pretty disappointing in decor. White walls look a bit boring and 'cold', there is very little space inside and everything (products) is stocked in one corner... Maybe some shelves on the wall? Certainly the place could be much more inviting!
Will be coming back and thanks guys!
* There was no option from the menu for my treatment, I haven't rated the Lymphatic Massage...
What a huge disappointment. I spent £750 on 2 days the inflexibility of treatments, overated over priced and when trying to communicate concerns refusal to accept and understand. Left more stressed than I went in. I actually cried to one therapist as the flexibility of my timings were messed around so much that I left more stressed than when I arrived.
Just silly juices that made me add on 5 lbs in 2 days !!!.. The only thing worth while was the colonics and that can be done anywhere !!
I enjoyed my treatment so much that I took advantage of the deal they had on offer for a further 5 treatments for £50. The staff were extremely helpful, while the facilities were very clean. I felt this treatment worked and increased my circulation and reduced the appearance of the cellulite. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
it was a very pleasant experience and i would highly reccommend it. The treatment was lovely and the therapist was professional, tidy, polite and helped me discuss the treatment and process that I was going to have. I felt refreshed and very happy with the treatment and overall satisfied with everything.
I VISITED THIS VENUE AS I WAS IN LONDON ON BUSINESS AND WANTED TO USE MY VOUCHER. I WENT FOR THE LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MESSAGE. THE TREATMENT ITSELF WAS FINE AND I GOT A FULL 30 MIN SESSION WHICH WAS GOOD FOR THE MONEY. THE VENUE WAS PRETTY RUN DOWN AND VERY SMALL AND DIDNT PARTICULARLY FEEL VERY CLEAN. THE STAFF MEMBERS WAS FRIENDLY AND NICE. I WOULD MAYBE LIKE TO HAVE THE TREATMENT AGAIN BUT I THINK I WOULD VISIT A DIFFERENT STUDIO AS THERE WERE A FEW TO CHOOSE FROM. THE AMBIENCE AND CLEANLINESS OF BEATY STUDIOS SHOULD BE PART OFF THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.
Very nice and professional staff and facilities were clean and modern. Would reccommend to friends as the value was great, staff very nice and the facilities were great. They also spent more than half an hour which was a bonus. There are tanning facilities there too which means I could indulge in more than one pampering thing whilst there.
Nice place, quite and convenient. I will definitely go back there because the staff was nice and helpful. They offer consultation and the level of the services is professional. More than suggested!!!
The place was simple but clean, the staff really nice and friendly. They offerted me a free consultation to discuss how to use my vouhers( I had more than one) really suggested:-)
It was a great experience; staff were first class and it is definitely something I would spend mymoney on.
No complaints at all.
I visited Cedar falls with my sister over a weekend in August. I really enjoyed it in that 'country house hotel' sort of way but felt like the spa and fitness facilities could've used a bit of an update. The staff was really lovely and sweet and made a big difference, but overall Cedar Falls fell down on the entire 'attention to detail' side of things. For example, my mother had left us each a £50 gift voucher at the front desk for us to treat ourselves to additional therapies. Unfortunately we never got the vouchers! And my poor mother wound up calling them from Canada and having to bother them for a refund.
The decor at Cedar Falls is a bit out of date and our room was less than luxurious. The food was alright but nothing special, and the continual MOR music in the dining hall was a bit distracting when trying to relax! On the plus side the archery classes were good as were the tennis courts, and it's a lovely area of the countryside to explore. There is a decent sized pool and soak tub and a gorgeous solarium for chilling. I did, however, find that the choices of fitness classes were very limited - there was a lot of cardio but no yoga or pilates offered over the weekend, and the only relaxation class was called 'relaxation CD', which consisted of one of the instructors turning on the CD player in the workout studio.
The most memorable bit of the weekend for me were two long power walks through the beautiful countryside, guided by friendly staff. I should also say that the therapies on offer were comprehensive and the therapists were good and knowledgeable, if not stellar.
I had a fun weekend at Cedar Falls and I definately returned home more relaxed, but for the money I'm not sure I'd go again - I think it needs a bit of an ungrade and someone to show them how to pay closer attention to the little details.
I spent a day at Forest Mere a couple of years ago and although the facilities looked like they'd seen better days and the gym left a little to be desired, I was impressed by the extensive range of treatments on offer . In addition to my day spa package I took advantage of the Palmistry and Numerology, which I found very insightful.
The Gardens are well kept, the therapists skilled and I remember it being fairly good value for money.
A wonderful day spa, I spent a wildly enjoyable day here. A thorough pampering was followed with a relaxing swim in their enormous indoor pool and outdoor whirl pool. The setting in the Hampshire countryside was glorious and the staff very welcoming and attentive.
