I went in to Riverside to do a couple of classes and they were fantastic, I had a look around the club whilst I was there and was suprised to see there was a steam room and sauna in with the pool. I have since joined the club and am very pleased wih the facilities.
I was not very impressed with the staff. One day when I was there for 2and half hours and TV screens were blank. Staff did not even noticed. Most of the staff were using the eqipments in the middle of the day. Air condition came on after 12 o clock. There is no filter water available. Tap water is available / the bottle water on sale. Ladies room. Twice there was no tissue paper.
Overhall it is ok.
Firstly, let me start by saying that I am not a serial dieter, and I haven't attended many fitness classes. I needed to tone up so I booked 10 bootcamp classes and didn't look back.
From strength-training, cardio, intervals to boxing, GI classes are nothing short of variety and give your body an all round work out. The classes were really challenging and boosted my metabolism, the result spoke for itself. Not only did I tone up and lose weight, but my stamina has increased immensely.
Gintas is a fun and friendly instructor, who is positive and encouraging. I would happily recommend GI Training to anyone who wants to get out of the gym, challenge and get in shape.
I have been working out with Rohit at MFB since November 2011, and I have been able to transform my body in about 3 months, by losing a stone and a half (10 kg) whilst gaining muscle and body definition.
I have been a member of most of the major-chain gyms for the last 10 years, but going to the gym never yielded any results, as I discovered I am just not able to motivate myself to perform constant, vigorous excercise that has one's pulse always at around 80% of max and leaves them without breath, for 60 mins.
Rohit's classes have always been different and varied, which also helps to avoid falling into a routine.
Yes, they are tough, but my word of advice is - there aren't any short-cuts to weight loss and body definition...
Nowadays, I always go for two hours in a row, doing suspension training and circuits followed by body combat with Rohit.
I have been coming to Unique Fitness for the past three months and I am amazed at the results. I have lost 2 stone n total and 48 inches all over so far.
Raj is brilliant, she gives you so much encouragement and help, she makes you feel so welcome and she’s always got a smile on her face and always makes time for you.
I love coming and look forward to my workouts with Raj, she really is a special person.
Thank you Raj and watch this space for more results.
On my first visit I had a really helpful session with a member of staff who asked about any goals I might have and gave me a tour of the club. I really enjoyed all the classes I tried out and the other members were all really friendly. I expected to be pestered with phone calls asking me to join the club after my voucher had finished, but I haven't had a single one which is really good.
The initial phone response was offputting, with the rep spotting that I'd had a trial before and doing her best to say that another one wasn't possible. When I pointed out that I'd paid for the trial, she reluctantly agreed to me attending for the trial period, but provided minimal info on what exercise classes were available. When I attended the next day, the rep on duty incorrectly informed me that the five days of the trial period had to be taken consecutively (which would be dangerous in terns of possible strains and injury). Consequently, I only used three of the five days. I could go on. Basically, I think that Fitness First just want your money. Try somewhere more user friendly.
Small but well-equipped gym with a good selection of classes at good times.
Great staff - very friendly and helpful.
Pilates and LBT classes were amazing. Very tough.
I found the yoga a little tame and not really worth my while.
The LBT class was great, mainly because of the class instructor who created the ideal atmosphere in terms of good music choice, humour and a great workout that you felt the next day.
I was very surprised about how small the gym was considering it being in central london with only 1 studio room. the changing rooms looked nice but the showers were quite consistently dirty and were not properly given the necessary privacy.
However, staff were very nice and friendly, apart from 1 private personal trainer who kept trying to sell his services. the pushy sales discouraged me and my friend returning again.
I found this venue to both be clean and fun. I loved all the facilities and the staff were very friendly. The classes were great and it was a good start to my fitness regime.
Really enjoyed my Legs, Bums and Tums workout. The instructor was really good and took the time to individually explain the moves to anyone that she noticed was having trouble. The staff were helpful and courteous and accepted the pass. My only complaint would be that the class was due to start at 7am, which is when the club actually opened so there was a slight delay in starting but that was it.
Great staff and customer service! Will definitely look into coming back again!
I found that classes are at good time and there is always a variety. PT are helpful even if you are not on the membership yet.
I bought 4 vouchers to use it with my manager. When the offer came out first it was limited to two per person.
Fitness First has a special link to redeem the offer. I put my details, and recieved a call no more than half an hour.
I booked an appointment for 25th July at 18.00. I have recieved and email with our 5-Day pass and also a text confirming our booking on the specified time, date and the club.
Day 1: My manager and I went down to the club on the day I guess half an hour before our appointment. The lady at the recepcion said to us that she had never heard of this offer before even tho the over was on about a month.
After spoken to her manager we were told we would be contacted to.
My manager recieved a voice mail saying that the club is happy to offer us only 3-day pass.
Day 2: We went down to the club one more time to show them the email and text I had recieved.
The email clearly says that this offer can be used uncosecutively and a member of staff would tick the pass everytime the club is visited. No solution.
This time I asked for a written confirmation. So I could apply for a return from Wahanda. And again we were asked to wait.
Day 3: My manager went down the club in the morning. No solution. I called the customer services one more time. (It's a 845 number, which is not free from a mobile!)
At last I have found some one helpful on the phone. Once I have said that i needed a confirmation that they were not able to do what it says on the voucher, the gentleman on the phone put me on hold. He contacted to the club and sorted it out with the manager. I was happy after 3 days :)
My manager went down with our vouchers to book a class. The club manager was too kind and dealt with the subject personally.
At the end we booked the class for 1st of August. We went down the club one more time. Everything was fine andsmooth. The manager came out and say hello. This time I tried to mention the receptionist about the second voucher. The answer was "you have already one! " :) I didnt say anything further after all that going back and forward, and calls. I decided to use it at another club.
The class was very satisfying. The instructer was brilliant. We were extremly happy with the class.
The very next day we both recived a call whether we would be interested in joining the club ?!?!?!?
The following week on Monday the manager gave me a call to ask me whether I would like to book the same class or not. It was very kind of him, it was a first class customer service. I told him that my manager was on holiday and I was busy at work.
I attanded the class on 15th August by myself. I booked my class very early morning, The class is very popular. It was full by 10am. No problem booking the class. In the evening getting in was a pain. As soon as the receptionist saw my voucher his face was down as if he had a personal problem with me. It is a very basic pass. It took him couple of minutes to sign the pass. Then I had to asked for the locker key. He started to mumble something like "see this is the problem, we dont have enough". I didnt say anything just wait there. Then some club member arrived. The receptionist greet him with a warm smile. I was still waiting. Then he just grabed a locker key front of him and gave it to me.
I dont know if I need to sa anything more. I have been to FF London Bridge before with a day pass to attend to a pilates class with my collegaus from work. Because of the staff non of us wanted to join to the club.
Overall, I am not satisfied at all. I dont think I would ever go back there.
But the instructer was brilliant. I can definetly recommend his classes. If he only teaches at London Bridge, I would recommend you to ask for Jazz at the reception. He seems to be only helpfull person in there.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a great range of classes put on at convient times. The classes were really good and the instructor was very encouraging! Will definelty use this gym again and am considering joining.
Streatham fitness is not the best of all
The service is banal and the personel is not enthusiastic at all
On my first visit, they made me wait 30minutes because the personal trainer wasnt available.
They booked me for a class on Sunday which only takes place on Saturday
So think twice if you want to go there.
travelled a very long way for a 3 day retreat and it was well worth the effort. Incredibly hard work for someone who hasnt worked out for over 5 years ! but fantastic. David was our personal trainer and he pushed us hard in a nice way, and with great results. Couldnt recommend it enough. Would have happily stayed longer.
A fitness retreat to remember...
I took my daughter for two weeks over the Easter Break and feel so much better for it.
We will both come back soon.
I would definetely recommend it.
I had a fantastic 5 days at the Hillmotts and would recommend the facility/experience to all of those who are keen to be educated in fitness and healthy lifestyle as well as those wanting to have a luxury pamper in the spa.
The staff were amazing, a lot of fun and understanding they really understood what may objectives were, and taught me that exercise and maintaining a health food balance can be exciting rather than daunting.
I left the facility feeling great, full of energy and most importantly motivated to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
ive recently joined the lucille roberts at fordham road. i first was invited as a guest by my coworker and was somewhat skeptical. but the excitement began when i herd the good music. i was a little surprised that i enjoyed the music and when i turned to the aerobic floor i realized i had stepped into a zumba class. i had the best time ever! im new at the dancing part but felt very welcomed by the instructor . we danced every type of music possible, i luved that my coworker tried and laughed and enjoyed the workout. by the end of the class to my surprise i was drenched in sweat... thats when i decided to try the membership...so far so good..
