Nice facilities, very clean and looked sleek. Staff were friendly, some were slightly distracted but my therapist was very cheery. The fish pedicure was good, not loads of fish but we were allowed to use two fish tanks each. Massage afterwards was lovely. I would go there again.
I have been to this venue so many times it's getting ridiculous!
The fish are working wonders on my toes. They appeared to be enormous this time, not sure what they feed them on.
I notice that whenever I go there not many people are having Fish pedicure anymore. At Anesis they offer so much different treatments now so not sure if that is the reason.
I will be back no doubt :-)
This was my first fish pedicure and as I wasn't too sure what to expect (and have ticklish feet) was a little apprehensive to say the least. I need not have worried. The therapist put me completely at ease - she explained each bit of the treatment and what a fab treatment it was. The foot massage was incredible and my feet felt the best they have in ages. Thanks to all concerned.
The location of the hotel was amazing, really enjoyed the scenery around it, very peaceful and picturesque. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the booking process was also very straight forward and easy. All the details were managed between Wahanda and the hotel and we just turned up! The breakfast the next morning was also very well served! We generally really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice relaxing weekend or spa break. Also Cardiff city centre was not far away at all, we had spent the afternoon afterwards roaming arounnd in the Cardiff castle.
After reading previous reviews, was easy to find, clean and best price for a fish pedi I have found.
However as perhaps we were one of the last appointments of the day, staff did not seem as warm and welcoming as previous reviews would suggest.
I also reckon the fish had already eaten enough for the day as I did not particularly notice any change. In fact, the fish just seemed to be curious instead of actually gnawing at the dead skin.
Polish at the end is ok.
Not sure I would return but perhaps ok to try out the experience.
Amazing, great place, lovely fish pedicure. Felt like bubbles, Great staff and Value!
Lovely day out and Nail paint lasted ages! The venue wasnt the easiest to fine, but is a great place. I'll be coming back:)
the staff was really friendly and provided a good service. was really clean and easy place to find. had a hand manicure done after and this was done ok. may go back again.
Absolutely fabulous. Went for a fish pedicure and facial. Really welcoming, lovely atmosphere. Moroccan tea - delicious. All the facial ingredients were natural, made with rosewater, honey and other lovely things. I was really pleased with how my skin felt. Highly recommended
I have attended this venue previously and I have been VERY impressed by the therapist. This time it was even better.
She explained everything what she was doing.
I felt valued custmer, relaxed, pampered.
This what is is all about after all.
Highly recommended
well worth the money staff friendly the fish nibbling your feet was very relaxing and the smell of the moroccon oil on your face during the facial was gorgeous, would definitely go again
Don't be put off by the entrance through the shop upstairs, the Perfect Feet Spa & Beauty room at the back was a lovely, calm environment which was a pleasure to relax in during my Fish Pedicure. Great selection of magazines and an iPad for use whilst having the pedicure. A fantastic selection of nail varnishes and a really well-done pedicure. I am very pleased and would definitely go back.
We enjoyed our fish spa treatment very much. Perfect Feet Spa and Beauty had nice facilities and the use of ipads with high speed internet was really a nice touch! We will be back.
I went to Anesis for a quick manicure and pedicure. As I was 5 minutes late they would only do the manicure which I found a bit harsh. They offered me a free fish pedicure instead (for new customers) Didn't enjoy the tickly fishes too much but it was worth the experience. The therapist was friendly and professional and the ambiance very plush. I can recommend it.
Having tried a few fish pedicures before - this one gets my thumbs up. Very clean, extremely friendly and charming staff and very well organized, the use of the ipad is an additional bonus! And the fish did a fabulous job too, of course. Fantastic value with the voucher.
Loved it the first time when i was pregnant, so went back for a second time again. I loved the quiet, relaxing atmosphere that is provided. It is also nice to be able to sit there and catch up on my emails at the same time with the ipad's that are provided.
Still just as good as the last time , I will def. be back :)
Thank you
I had a fish pedicure which was great. Its a nice little salon in a handy out of town location. Very friendly and active place. The treatment really works and was pleased with how clean and well kept the fish are here.
fish pedicure was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! but my pedicure was ok as they where busy they have to rush me but i been there to relax would recommand go there but during week as they might busy in the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We really enjoyed our fish pedicure although I did feel if there was a bit more water in the tank we would not have had to sit at the very edge of the seating area so our feet could be submerged. My back ached a little bit from the angle I had to sit at. I have been to other fish pedicures and the tanks were much fuller and you could sit back and relax. Also it would have been nice to have had some information fact sheet about the fish - I googled it on my phone instead. The staff were very polite and helpful and it was nice to be offered a drink during the treatment. All in all it was a lovely treatment and I would go back to this establishment as think it represents good value for money.
thank you perfect feet for a fabulous experience. Went with 8 other hens for a hen party and we all had the fish pedicure which was truely enjoyable, staff very nice and good manicures too
Staff where very friendly as they looked after my girl friend mum when she fainted................ i would definetly recommand this place as the massage and fish pedicure we received was perfect for relaxation and therapist had excellant skills................
Anesis Spa London - I took a friend for a 2 for 1 deluxe fish pedicure. We had our feet in the fish tanks for 30 minutes and then we had a foot and leg scrub and massage and our toes painted while we enjoyed a glass of champagne. There are lots of nail polish colours to choose from and I like the fact that you can book the same time as your friend so you can sit and chat. The staff are really lovely and make you feel welcome and they don't make you feel rushed to leave, they advise you to wait and relax while the nail polish has time to dry afterwards. Can't wait to book my next treatment!
Not the easiest place to find but lovely staff. Nice feeling in the room but I've got to say, fish eating my feet is not really worthwhile... just treat yourself to a nice manucure and ignore the tanks :-)
staff were late starting, didnt show any interest. seat for fish pedicure is bad for your back. length and quality of fish spa was good. staff need to be more friendly
Everything was great. My partner and I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit. It was a great laugh (quite literally) having the fish pedicure and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the salon itself was very stylish and modern. Definitely recommend it!
Was great fun, great staff and great atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and the experience was a lot of fun and went on for more than the half an hour it was supposed to. I would definitely recommend this to friends and would visit again myself.
We have been a few times to The Beauty Room and each time Lauren, Charlotte & Amie make us feel very special. A perfect place for a winter blues blaster.
Spent a lovely day at this spa, the facilities were lovely. Had a 241 Spa Reviver Day package with lunch. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use the Rasul as I'm 29 weeks pregnant but I was able to go into the private room with my fiancée whilst he enjoyed the mud and steam treatment. We then had a 15min Fish pedicure which lasted almost 45mins. The tank I used had over 50 fish (bit too much for my liking!) so swapped to a tank with less fish which was much more pleasant and relaxing. The therapist who carried out the facial was very professional and knowledgeable about the products. It was a lovely experience and I felt very chilled. The 3 course lunch was very filling - soup or melon to start, cold buffet including prawns, cold meats, salad, dips, bread, quiche... then cake, muffin or cheese and biscuit selection for afters, which filled us up! We also used the pool, and dream-scape room throughout the day which all added to the fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend and cant wait to go back!
Facilities were clean but a bit small. Therapist was really nice. The treatment felt really funny with all the fish but the use of an I-pad provided a good distraction.
Was a great experience. I called up and got an appointment within two days - fab! Got there, everyone was super friendly and I got an iPad to tinkle with while the fish basically ate my feet. Weird feeling, kinda like furious tickling but it settles down soon enough. Nice pedicure, nice place, deffo recommend!
Really helpful. Only booked the day before and they managed to fit my whole family in after we had been let down by another venue. Very pleased with the staff. Really friendly, giving help to everyone, especially those new to it!!
A friend recommended perfect feet to me. It has everything under one roof and is very conveniently located. I hadn't tried the fish pedicure before but it was a nice experience to try once. I often have my shellac nails done so wanted to give a new place a go and it was amazing and finished to such a perfect standard - very happy
Cannot fault the place or the staff. Absolutely lovely girls. Very attentive. You have an ipad to play with to pass the time. Fabulous.
However, I wasn't that impressed with fish pedicure. I've had better results with a foot file but maybe that is just me.
The colour selection was extensive and I do love the quality of the nail varnish used.
I enjoyed the pedicure itself but more as a new experience rather than effectiveness. My feet were pretty smooth afterwards but there was plenty of hard skin left. The location was OK but was hard to find. The facilities for the pedicure itself were good - nice seats, ipad, good music.
I decided to be generous and gave my voucher to my mum. I went along with her. The atmosphere was spot on looked very modern. I was impressed. My mum enjoyed the fish pedicure however the massage was just ok. The therapist spent too much time on my mothers left shoulder, leaving very little time on the other side. If maybe the room was a little bigger then maybe it may have been a better experience.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted to get a fish pedicure. Price is a little expensive so I'm going to look out for more deals and this time I'm going to use it myself.
The fish pedicure was fun and comfortable - the seating is really comfy and the iPads you use help to pass the time away.
The pedicure was also good. One of my nails had broken and so my feet were looking a little worse for wear, but they looked healthy, smooth, and pretty once finished, The therapist is lovely too - she's really nice and friendly, and she treated me so well!
Good choice of nail colours too.
Great pedicure. Salon was a bit hard to find at first but once there was a great experience. Loved the fact that instead of being given a magazine to flip through during the treatment I was given an iPad to play with!
The salon was very busy but Lauren made time for us and we felt very welcome. What a nice touch as it was coming up to Valentines day there was complementary milk chocolate hearts on the desk for all clients.
Yummy. Thanks. Deb & Charlie.
The fish pedicure was amazing as this was my first visit I was not sure what to expected.
I was suprised how relaxing and fun it was once I was used to the feeling of the fish nibbling. My feet felt wonderful after and it did not hurt at all!
All the staff were very friendly and professional as they explained the process to me in full before it started. I will definatley return for a regular pedicure, also maybe a massage and bring more friends along so they can share the experience as well.
The manicurist was very professional and I was delighted as I had only opted for a manicure and my nail varnish lasted for a good week.
Eyebrow and eyelash treatment was spot on, in very private, comfortable surroundings.
Also as they sell vouchers for treatments I would consider buying these for friends and family as a different present.
Very impressed all round.
I went to Perfect Fish Spa with my mother, we had 2 for 1 voucher. We enjoyed it very much and it was not expensive. The Spa is inside of a shopping arcade which does not have a smart look, but ones you are inside Perfect Fish it is actually very nice. My mother decided to have a pedicure after fish and also liked it a lot, her therapist was very good.
Quaint little place hidden in the hustling and bustling of Bayswater
I have previously tried the fish pedicure in one of those outside market type places but this spa was very nice and luxurious with ipads to use as well. Fish were lively and did a great job
I work in the area and didn't even know it existed but certainly will be trying them soon for their nail services. Thanks for a great time
I went to the Beauty Room with my daughter. She had the fish pedicure and I had a microdermabrasion treatment. Lauren and Charlotte looked after us from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. 1st class service making us feel very special. Charlotte gave me lots of information before and after my treatment. Lauren gave me a voucher for my next treatment at a reduced price. Excellent service and value for money. Thanks ladies.
Really great experience - booked easily by email. I found it really easy to find, it was in the basement of a shopping centre but it was well signposted. By far the cleanest fish pedicure spa I've ever been to. I liked the fact your feet are washed before putting in the pool (surprisingly unusual) and the paint and shape pedicure was brilliant - she is very good at painting. Just a tip - they don't have any good magazines so it is all about the ipad!
Had my fish pedicure today and it was lovely!!! This is not my first visit and it will not be my last. I got there for 6pm and there was no one else there having a fish pedicure so the lovely owner suggested I use both tanks. So I had one foot in the left tank and my right foot in the right tank.
My feet were covered in fish!! Some of them looked really big. I sat there reading me Evening Standard and felt so relaxed. Before I left I received a loyalty card. What a lovely place with a lovely team of staff.
Clean, excellent location and sooooo many treatments to choose from.
Nice new experience..
The treatment worked well, and my feet were soft after - it lasted for about a week
The place is ok, - nothing fancy
Was extremely hard to find the salon. Once we did the salon is a lovely modern space very nice and inviting. It is located in an old run down building that doesn't really fit with the image of the salon. Staff were lovely and very accomodating. I took my mum for a pamper session and had the salon to ourselves. A very relaxing afternoon.
Hotel food was excellent with very attentive staff. Hotel room was spacious however bathroom could do with some updating. Spa facilities good, outside hot tub was lovely. Inside pool and Jacuzzi gets very busy on saturdays could find nowhere to sit to relax in this area. Steam room very good and treatments professionally performed with very attentive staff. My daughter and I especially enjoyed the fish pedicure, all in all we would visit Ardencote again in the future.
The location is not very central but the place is nice and professional. The treatment was great, fish pedicure is amazing. I would recommend it especially in summer time, to have perfectly smouth feet!
BEFORE
I have always been a bit self-conscious about getting a pedicure done, but getting it done by fish lifted that anxiety straight away. The fish pedicure I booked through Wahanda cost me £8 for 30 minutes instead of £30, so the value for money was impeccable.
THE PEDI
The shop stands out amongst others there. The other boutiques look quite cheap and market-like, while Perfect Feet Fish Spa & Beauty looks considerably more high-end. The shop's
black walls give it a classy feel, while the fish tanks look modern and clean. The procedure itself was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff were polite and courteous.
AFTER
The tops of my feet and my lower calves were very soft. However, even after a 30-minute fish pedicure I still had patches of dry skin on my toes and on the balls of my feet. Please also note that fish are not going to trim the cuticles of your toenails (unlike I have expected). In other words, the pedi improves the condition of your feet, not your toenails. I suppose that I should have fish pedi done once a month, perhaps then my feet would be soft throughout.
CONCLUSION
All in all, the fish pedicure is worth getting done simply because it's such a relaxing and pleasant experience, and because your feet do feel softer in some areas after it. If I see another deal on Wahanda for this spa, I will buy it again.
Fantastic venue, the room was exactly as described on the website, very clean and modern too..the Spa experience was just so relaxing, and worth every penny, i would recommend the whole experience to anyone. I will deffinatel ybe returning...regards Teresa
I had the 30 Minute Fish Pedicure with Express OPI Pedicure,
This is my second time here, this time with a OPI pedicure, The staff were friendly, gave me a brief questionnaire, gave my feet a wipe and I put my feet in the tank. The fish did their job and after my 30 minutes were up, I chose my nail polish colour, out of the many varieties available crossed the small room for the pedicure.
All in all, a very good deal!
Location: Worth noting it's practically next door to the Queensway tube station and a short walk from the Bayswater tube (take a right when exiting the station). When you go in, you have to walk down the stairs on the left hand side of the shop, and although there is a sign, the place is filled with signs and businesses, so it's best to know where you're going beforehand. When you get downstairs, you go left down the corridor past a bunch of other little stores (it's like a small indoor market or shopping centre inside a shop!) and the Perfect Feet spa is at the end on the left (before the double doors).
Ambience: The spa is really small and dark, maybe big enough for 6 people to have fish pedicures and a couple to have their nails painted. The corridors and shops outside are dingy and reminiscent of Camden. When I write 'spa', I'm using the word loosely. If you like spas, you will not want to touch the corridor walls. The spa itself is more sleek, though the ipads could seriously use wiping down (I was more concerned about dropping one in the tank though...) There is no bathroom in the spa, but there is one through the double doors that are just outside of the spa. However, when we went it was locked, and we were in too much of a rush to ask them to sort that out. As they have a lot of different treatments at this venue, I assume there's at least one private treatment room hidden away!
Treatment: With a Wahanda voucher, it seems you get to skip having to fill in a form with them, so starting the treatment was very quick. There was only one customer when we arrived, so it was quiet - I did expect this place to be a lot busier after reading the website, but it's very compact. There are hooks on the backs of each of the fish pedicure seats to hang coats and bags. Before starting the treatment, they briefly wipe your feet down and clip a timer onto the edge of the fish tank. The "moisturising OPI foot rub" is literally only a few seconds long after they towel down your feet, in case you thought it was a foot massage. The staff were friendly, efficient and quite patient, considering I went with my elderly mother. The treatment itself felt like bubbles in a foot spa, so if you're ticklish, just play with the ipad instead of watching the fish and it shouldn't bother you! After the half hour treatment, the change wasn't particularly noticeable. Maybe if taken on a regular basis or for longer periods of time, you'd see an effect. I think for the price and time spent, feet needing a decent amount of smoothing out will find better results with a traditional file-based pedicure. A fish pedicure is probably more of a social thing, as opposed to beauty maintenance.
This is my second visit to feet retreat My treatments were for a Morrocan oil facial and for a fish pedicure My fish pedicure was my first treatment Your feet are washed and check for any verrucas and cuts by your therapist Then its into the tank for a twenty five minute pedicure This is my fourth experience of having a fish pedicure and I could see the difference when my feet were being dried and massaged by my therapist
My therapist and I had discussed problems areals in my skin and iadvised me what oils would be in my facial The honey aegan and rose smelt divine The advocado was tolerable but it was a benefit to my skin as it tends to be very dry
What i did love was that all morrocan oils used are natural products and actually from Morrocco I also loved talking to the therapist after and her friend and i felt as though we had been friends for years
Would i go again Most definatly
I had the wahanda voucher for a fish pedicure and morrocan oil facial and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Feet Retreat. My therapist made me feel very comfortable and throughout was amazing at telling me in detail what each procedure did. She also recommended products and gave me useful beauty tips. The facial left my skin soft and glowing for a few days afterward. I enjoyed the fish manicure although the treatment did not have as dramatic on my feet as I had expected. My feet were definitely softer but there was still some dry skin. All in all a fabulous experience that I would definitely recommend.
I am so pleased to have finnally tried the fish pedicure, it did live up to expectations and was ticklish but enjoyable. I wasn't bored either as i had a ipad to play with, Enjoyable venue and I recommend to everyone.
This was really nice. The only critisism I have is that the sign outside is not very noticable, and it it not very easy to find, or get through to them on the phone, so we did have some trouble locating the place. But once there I was really pleased, the staff were nice and the fish appeared happy and well looked after, the whole experience was lovely. I would reccomend to other people.
I was given gift tokens on my birthday I had 3 treatment thoes were not so good As I had one token left to use i went to the Shop in Hounslow Guss what it has shut down I still have one unspend token Anyhow I am not surprised as the staff attatude and motivation was not there and I never got a smil If they would have put no staff I feel it would have run batter
I had a voucher from kelkoo select and took my daughter for her birthday for the fish pedicure and long lasting manicure, she said it wads very good and good staff
My partner took me here to try out the new fish pedicure craze that has been sweeping the nation.
My colleagues have been to similar fish places but quite basic ones.
Perfect Feet was actually quite luxurious and they even give you ipads and complimentary internet to use! So so impressive I really had a nice time. Thanks again perfect feet
I went there using a voucher for fish pedicure. If you haven't been there before, the location isn't that easy to find since it's situated amongst industrial units. On the other side it has a excellent ambience inside. The lady staff was nice but after I had the fish treatment and the moisturising cream she rushed me out. So imagine your legs full of cream not dry yet , in sandals or high hills shoes trying to walk out, very unsafe.
It was really ammazing experience that i ever had. I went with my girl friend where we had a warm welcome.By the time we entered we happen to see the customers enjoying the fish pedecure.Earlier my girlfriend was really scared about the fishes but after visit of the happy atmosphere her scaryness was like flushed out. At first we were given one consultation form which regards to health and safty and later we were asked to sit where one lady washed our feets. After getting washed our feets we were taken to fish tanks where we have to soak our feets slowly. It was unbelievable that fishes were tickling our feets, actually they are cleaning our skin. In the mean time we both had a coffee. 20 minutes later we were asked to take off our feets from the tanks. I felt like i want to put my feet for some more time. After getting fish treatment my girl friend had manicure. I asked the business owner Mr Pendkar about the fish, he politely explained me every thing. We were really happy to visit. Iam lucky to have such kind of spa convenient to my home. My girl friend was more impressed.I would rather tell my friends to visit and enjoy the treatments.
i loved having a fish pedicure. ipads to use to keep you entertained and such friendly staff - we were treated liked royalty from start to finish.
in a strange building but once inside the spa it is very plush
thanks for a great time
This visit was a disaster from start to finish, firstly my friend and I planned a two day pamper time away. We booked it together so there was no hiccups and we both new what we were doing. So when we turned up at glow to be told we had the wrong time did not go down well bearing in mind we had a tight schedule. We questioned it of course but they were adamant, so it was a quick snack instead of a relaxing lunch for us. When we went back again we were kept waiting but eventually taken upstairs to a dingy grubby looking area to have our fish pedicure. we were given a grubby well worn pair of slippers to put on to which both turned our noses up, the therapist was not very cheerful and certainly did not make us feel relaxed, having had this before I was aware of the do's and don't's and contraindications, she didn't advise us with any of them. She left us to 'enjoy' the experience then Ali (my friend) noticed a dead fish in her tank!! when the therapist came by we mentioned this to her and she said she had thought she had got them all out, to which she removed it and we then listened to the toilet being flushed! ....lovely! After that we then we were both having a microdermabrasion facial, to which there seemed to be some whispering as to who could do it and where as they seemed to have only one of us booked in! To cut a long and what could get even more boring story short, yes we both had the facials, we had to wait for each other, we both had different therapist doing different parts of it, so the door was opening and closing, so laid there in a dark room no knowing who was coming in next to take over.
I'd also like to add, if like me you struggle with mobility, walk with a stick etc it's not a good place to be, had I known I would have not booked here, the salon is on the first floor, then there was another flight of stairs up to the fish pedicure. Also to gain entrance to the salon you have to ring an intercom to which you were greeted with a grunt as if you were an inconvenience certainly not the welcome I had hoped for.
I think it's fair to say, I would not recommend this salon nor would we ever use it again. Therefore its a 'OH NO from us!
found the place quite easily after reading the pointers from other reviewers and got there roughly with a little bit longer than our pedicure time.
Receptionist wasn't the most friendly but maybe it was a long day.
I thought they would clean the feet properly before we put our feet in as i had had done somewhere else and here they simply gave your foot a once over with a baby wipe and was left to it for half an hour.
The ipads were ok. but did not play with them much and read a magazine from the side instead.
After, we had our feet semi dried with a towel before being told it was finished. But the towel was one of them crap ones that dont absorb the moisure and I let my feet bang off to dry for a little while longer. Was half tempted to run across the room to where i saw some paper towels but didn.t
Overall, it werent too bad. about on par with the little pop on ones i guess.
It is great value for money, staffs are very friendly. I was enjoying the entertainment of ipad when the lovely fishes were working hard on my feet. I will definitely go there again.
The place is rather hard to find and the entrance and ambiance of the fish spa is poor, however the therapist makes up for it! My therapist was friendly, helpful and skilled at the massages. The fish pedicure was disappointing and I could not relax and begin to enjoy it, but this may be a matter of personal preference.
When you arrive you strangely have to walk through a clothes shop. However when you arrive to the salon it has very funky fish tanks and you're given magazines and an ipad to use during the 30 minutes as the fish nimble. Then you choose a nail colour and hand a 15 minutes pedicure, my therpist was excellent and really took her time with the treatment, as soon as I gave my £5 for the review I'll be booking another session.
Venue is immediately close the Queensway tube station (Central line). It is in the basement. Clean surroundings. A feel of tickling at the first few seconds of entering the fish pool. To avoid you feeling bored they have ipads. Note there is no mobile network down there. 30 minutes is warned by an alarm clock attached to the pool.
This has to be the most convenient location ever to have your nails done, as it's 2 buildings down from the Queensway tube station (even better for me as I come into London via Paddington), so you don't end up ruining your mani/pedi when pushing your way through a crowd! If you're having trouble finding it, it may not be signposted outside, but on Wahanda it says it's inside 'Boutiques' and downstairs, so just go on Google Maps streetview to find what you're looking out for when you get there. The building it's in seems pretty chaotic - there's a lot going on in there, loads of businesses/things you can do, but downstairs it's like a tranquil oasis in comparison. My nails were painted really well, and they're holding up so far. They have a decent range of OPI colours, so there's something for everyone. The atmosphere inside is really comfortable, maybe not spa-like, but definitely fun to try out in a shopping break with friends. The staff are always super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. It can get a bit busy at times, but in a way, that adds to the atmosphere of the place. Oh, and remember to bring flip-flops or some kind of shoes to wear out that won't smudge your nails - OPI dries slowly and, after all, why pay for lumpy polish?
I bought this as a gift for a friend who absolutely loved this place. She didn't really appreciate the location - even though it's easily accessible, it does look a bit dodgy to some people! But she said for the price they charge for their services, it's pretty good for central London, and the staff were lovely. I didn't actually get to see her nails afterwards, but she was very happy with them (and she normally complains a lot about less-than-perfect manicures, so go figure.)
I went a while back with friends, and was pleasantly surprised by their customer service. They look after you really well, and don't make you feel as though you're imposing, which is something anyone with a voucher wants! As for the locations - lots of salons in London are underground in buildings, and if that shaves some pounds off, I'm more than happy to put up with a tchotchke shop upstairs. To be honest, you barely notice it - that's how good the experience is! The fish pedicure was good, obviously your feet don't magically go from callused to baby butt smooth in one session, it's more of a maintenance thing, and I can't tell the difference between places, a fish pedicure is a fish pedicure. But the attitude of the staff is what makes this places special - they make you feel like royalty!
My first fish pedicure ever - I've got to say, it seriously tickled to the point where I was concerned I'd kick the fish by accident, but if you concentrate on something else, I found you just forget it! I distracted myself with the ipads they provided (maybe this is why they have them?) I liked the foot rub with the amazing-smelling OPI cream they do, it's too short if anything! The ambience of the venue is spot on - the lighting perhaps isn't best for reading, but it's great for hanging out and relaxing. The staff were great too - I'm really sick of rude staff in London salons, so this place was refreshing!
Lovely local little beauty salon, mainly about sunbeds, but had a very clean and comfy fish manicure tank. Staff were very friendly and welcoming with a nice cup of tea. Very handy location with parking right outside. Recommended.
love the experience of the fish pedi, was abit worried about putting my feet in a tank of fish at first. very weird feeling, like really bad pins and needles lol. takes quite a long time to get use to it.
wasnt interested in the ipads as much as i would have like to as kept getting distracted.
feet were cleaned before and after, noticed that feet were slightly softer but most of hard skin was still there. will defo go bk if not for pedi for other treatments
lovely time had - pleasant environment despite the location, excellent lasting nail polish. Lots of choice. Fish were rather hungry!
Very friendly therapist and very knowledgable.Learnt a lot about former Yugoslavia , fascinating.
Fabulous treatments and 9 days on my shellack is still looking fantastic. Nice people and cute salon
Really good location, the venue is very central. The place is quite nice and cosy and staff are very friendly. You get an Ipad while you are getting the pedicure done which is quite nice. The fish pedicure was very good, the colour after was ok. Overall, it was very good value for money
I had never been to the salon before and found it a bit difficult to find but it was a nice place and relaxing for the treatment.
The ipads were a great idea! Would recommend the place!
An absolute little gem of a find and lovely staff. My nails are the envy of my friends xxxxx
Its a small cosy place close to queensways station, thou difficult to locate. staff was quite friendly and the therapist was nice and polite. The experience was overall good! . I live in the area and will definitely come back.
Great level of service! Nails look great. For two pounds extra I got the opi shatter, which looks fantastic. I will definitely be going back. Great service, and polite staff.
I bought this as a present for my friend and we were both very impressed with the overall standard. When we first arrived, the location seemed a bit strange being in the basement of this weird looking shop but once we were in the salon it was great - very clean with 8 fish tanks and every seat was provided with an i-pad to pass the time whilst sitting there for 30 minutes! The pedicure and nail polish was done thoroughly and extremely well - certainly a tremendous bargain!
Convenient location, clean, friendly staff, great treatment.
I was a bit wary about having anymore fish pedicures because of the 'scare' recently. At Anesis it is clean and the water is filtered and they have a notice on the front desk about how the water is cleaned etc.
I dont do fish pedicures very often but when I do I really enjoy them and will continue to have them in the future.
I booked in for my first fish pedicure and was very pleased with it. Once I got over the initial tickling of the fish nibbling it was very relaxing. The therapist was very friendly.
Made a last minute booking and was accommodated with no problem. Very friendly staff. The fish pedicure is for sure something to try out however I prefer a classic pedicure.
This looked like it was going to be horrible. You walk into a tourist shop full of junk and then go down some relatively makeshift type stairs, however the actual salon itself is wonderful. It is perfectly clean, the staff are lovely and my pedicure is absolutely perfect. I will be going again for a manicure later in the week!
Amazing
A really enjoyable day. Salon looks a bit lost where it is becasue area is being regenerated but once inside it was lovely. Staff were so friendly and we had such a fun and relaxing day. WOuld recommend to anyone as a treat.
Just want say what a lovely time i had yesterday with the fish and shellac pedicure. Originally i opted for a normal pedicure but spoke to the therapist about my weak nails etc and how polish chips on me easily. staff very informative and amazing treatments.thanks perfect feet fish!
I bought a 30 min fish pedicure for my mum and she absolutelty loved it! My mum is alittle squeemish so i wasnt sure if she would enjoy the little fish but she did. She even commented on how clean the fish tank was and said that the staff were really friendly and efficient. Everytime i take someone new to this venue, it just gets better. The only pity is the location, its a bit shabby in the basement of a large market style shop.
Amazing massage and nice beauticians. I was able to pay the venue direct for a deal I had seen on Wahanda. Shame that they didn't have time for a manicure but the fish was really great as well
Spa was downstairs from a shop - outward appearances were a little lacklustre. the salon itself was fine, although small. The bathroom was not part of the salon, and down a cold corridor - which wasn't the most relaxing experience.
the fish pedicure itself was fine - we didn't know what to expect, and were not really given an overview by the therapist, but it was very fun. I am glad I took a friend, though, as it would be an odd experience to have alone. I wouldn't have another fish pedicure, as, although entertaining, wasn't especially effective.
overall, an 'ok' experience.
Dont be put off by the entrace via the clothing store, once inside the staff were very professional and the Fish pedicure itsself was fantastic. Ipad was a great touch, id love to come back and try more of thier services.
I had been there before and I think it's good value for money and very convenient, as it's very close-by. The external surroundings are very "market" and slightly off-putting (Queensway basement), but internally it's clean, if not luxury. The OPI foot massage was literally the fastest possible application of product, which was a bit disappointing and not relaxing, but the overall experience was fine. They have IPADs and good, up-to-date magazines, so multi-tasking is easy!
It had been my first time having a fish pedicure and was slightly terrified at having fish chew on my dead skin! however I was surprised :) it did tingle a little but overall it was a good experience and would love to go again! the place is in an awkward place but it was nice, relaxing and very quiet
The boyfriend brought me to perfect feet fish spa for a birthday treat. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the treatments it was a nice surprise.
I had a voucher for a fish pedicure and had a normal manicure as well once I saw the place. Perfect Feet was quite small but well set up and really nice inside. Both treatments were top class and good value and I will be returning
A tranquil spot with beautiful decor and a great experience. really relaxing place to be
The venue is in the back basement of a scruffy indoor market on Queensway, very near the Underground station. The salon does not have it's own loo, there is a single loo (one for ladies one for gents) for the market just along from the salon. It was clean and had loo paper, but no hand towels.
On first entering the salon, I thought it looked rather sweet, with a decent amount of effort put into it's look, but it did smell of damp basement as well as nail salon! There are half a dozen fish tanks with cushioned seats lined up against one side and a couple of nail stations opposite. I think there was also a treatment room. There was room behind the seats to hang your coat and bag.
The staff were friendly, gave me a brief questionnaire to make sure I had no foot or circulation problems, gave my feet a wipe and I put my feet in the tank. I have had a fish pedicure before - there is an initial "oh my days....!" for the first tickly 30 seconds and then you get used to the sensation as the fish go to work. I was impressed to see that each tank is furnished with an iPad for your amusement, which made a change from trashy/glossy mags! When my 45 minutes were up, during which time I chose my nail polish colour, I crossed to the other side of the room for the pedicure.
My feet were soaked in soapy water, nails and cuticles were trimmed, cuticle conditioner applied, feet filed, rubbed with lotion and polish applied very neatly. I then went into a foot drier until the polish was completely dry. All very efficient.
My feet do not feel particularly soft, despite the fish and the filing - I think they spent too much time in water and could do with a richer foot cream. The polish, however was good. I've since looked at their normal prices, and while the fish pedicures are expensive, the manicures/pedicures are reasonable. On a Wahanda deal, I would definitely recommend!
My friend and I had a lovely time here. The staff were friendly and professional at put our minds at ease after our initial fear of the fish!! Great we gor an ipad to look at too, and large choice of colour to choose from for our pedicure
I could not complain with my experience, it was a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I came out with a smile on my face!! The staff were very welcoming, happy and attentive. When she was doing my hair she explained everything she was using on my hair, and giving me a lot of knowledge on how to get the best out of my hair and how to keep it in tip-top condition, what is best to use and best not to. She told me about the products but did not try to sell them me, and even when I asked about them she just told me the price and did not try and push it on me to my surprise.
I had bought a voucher for a 45 minutes fish pedicure and hair cut, wash and finish, when I put my feet into the gara-rufa fish I checked the time so that I did not get conned out of the 45 minutes and end up getting 30 minutes or something. To my surprise I ended up having 2 hours with the gara-rufa fish, and she did not mind even if I stayed in longer!! I only stopped because I had to be somewhere else! The owner was very friendly and I shall be definitely going back and it shall now become my only beautician and hairdressers. I am so please with everything that I have already recommended it to 5 of my friends and family!!
GO AND CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELVES, I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! This was my first time and it will definitely not be my last for a long time!!! Even with the full price it is still very reasonable, I have to travel from Chesterfield-but it is thoroughly worth it!
I have been to perfect feet previously however had not had a fish pedicure. The fish pedicure was great, didnt hurt at all, just a tickly sensation. My feet were smoothish after 30 minutes. You get given an Ipad so definately a plus point. I had nail polish applied after fish treatment and therapist really did do a lovely job.
I booked a fish pedicure for my mum at first she was apprehensive at getting it done, but she felt at ease at kai kos and found it an enjoyable experience.
Lovely little location with plenty of individual tanks for a large group of friends
Very friendly staff
I was very pelased with the outcome of the trip- fish and pedicure, so much so i am booking to go back :)
nice venue and easy to find. pleased with all treatments but especially moroccan oil facial. very-very good results. liked surroundings very much. overall nice experience. will book again. highly recommended.
Beautiful hidden little salon. Went with a friend who had a voucher. On entering the building I was a bit unsure as seems a bit rundown but what a lovely surprise when we reached the perfect feet shop and the treatments were so professional and such a high standard. Loved it! Good entertainment as well with the ipads.
Great place. Loved the ipads with the fish. Really clean and good smooth feet after!
What a jewel of a salon in New Southgate. I have sampled the fish pedicure and parafin wax pedicure and manicure. The service was excellent and staff very friendly. The treatment rooms and general ambience of the salon is extremely warm. A little piece of central London but at north London prices. A must visit!
Great place, great price, great treatment!
Not much more to say, it's a very conveniently placed and really friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely visit again (I didnt have a voucher) and would recomend!
Having bought this voucher several months, I completely forgot about it. I was very pleasantly surprised therefore to receive an email from the salon a few days before the expiry, reminding me of the voucher and providing details to book. Staff were courteous, prompt and helpful while booking and when I arrived. An ipad was also provided for use during the pedicure.
Lovely night 's stay in lovely surroundings and lovely clean rooms, with restful day in spa on following day. Staff were friendly and competent and spa experience was extremely pleasant. Good value all round.
Using a groupon voucher I visited perfect feet for a spa package. The spa is a quite hidden away so I had to phone for directions. When I arrived the staff greeted my professionally and then took me into the beauty room for my facial and massage which was exquisite. One of the main reasons I booked was because they use guinot products for the facials, I then had the fish pedicure which was ticklish but enjoyable after 5 minutes - maybe I wouldn't do the fish again just by itself but good to try once. I was an offered an iPad to use as well which was great as i could check my emails and then had my toes painted, I was spoilt for choice in choosing a colour due to their big selection. I live 3 minutes away and will be returning on a regular basis. Thank you perfect feet
Excellent as they emailed me to remind me may voucher was about to expire however I never recieved an email back to confirm my requested date and time ,but they had booked it once I spoke over the phone.Very convenientas it is next to Queensway tube once I found it ,at first i thought it was just a shop.I had to go downstairs and follow a sign .It was quite compact about 8 fish tanks, the staff were attentive and completely professional, the establishment welcoming and spotless, even providing an i-pad to use. The foot rub was very brief and would have been nice if had lasted a little longer but I thoroughly enjoyable the experience it was value for money
I had this fish foot spa vouvher given to me for my birthday, after all the press recently in the news papers regarding the fish foot spa's I was a bit nervous. How silly and ignorant was I?? Absolutely fantastic experience, very professional and much better then any others that I have been looking at recently. Sukkerz are very clean and only use disposible towels and flip flops. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was totally spoilt the whole of the time I was in there. My feet felt amazing after my experience. Sukkerz check your feet before going into a foot spa that then clean your feet. I was reassured by this as I also had to fill in a health questionaire. Well done guys and I will certainly be back with a group of friend and also family. £15.00 (vouvher) well worth it and a little thank you to my best mate for getting me the gift I will return the favour at CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!
Overall very good experience! Nice venue (despite the fact that is quite hard to find), friendly staff and good facilities. Really enjoyed it, especially the fish and massage! I would definitely recommend it.
Already planning my next visit;)
i was in 2 minds after the latest hype in the press recently but going into the clinic all that dissappeared, the gentleman assisting my friend and i was very friendly, chatty, attentive and answered any concerns that we had... it was a shame only 1 of us at a time could have our treatment but it was not a big issue. as for value for money it certainly was as we had a mini foot massage and the chap gave me an extra 5 mins while he massaged my friends feet. the only downside was when i came out i had a rather abrupt note on my screen telling me i should not have parked in a certain part of the car park,OOPS.So defo recommend and defo value for money if you dont end up with a clamp as threatened with..........
I thought this offer was good value for money and would do it again. However there was not much atmosphere probaly because I went at a quiet time and there was noone else much around
Very convenient next to Queensway tube, the staff were attentive and completely professional, the establishment welcoming and spotless, even providing an i-pad to use. It would have been nice if the footrub had lasted a little longer but still a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Located beneath a generic touristy shop on Queensway, you follow the signs with fish on them, and you end up in a small room in the basement which has been kit out with high-tech fish pedicure facilities.
It is small, but perfect for what you pay for.
The location of the venue was in the market so felt a little bit like a fish myself as everyone walking by would stop and stare. However, I see this is a good marketing technique. Good value for money as it would have been a lot more expensive without the voucher.
very bad facilities.
very small spaces
the fish tank was really smelly and the whole room not really clean!
the girl who did my nails was ok
will not be going back!
Here is a copy of the letter I recently had to send to Dr. Spa Fish. No response as things stand:
To whom it may concern,
I purchased a Loyalty Card online with the intention of taking my girlfriend, dad and sister to your central Bristol store. It was for eight sessions so I wanted us to get half an hour each together in one go. There seemed to be no obvious indication that this wasn't allowed online when I purchased the item, and I also rang and no one said that it would be a problem.
Imagine my surprise therefore when I organised the time for us to go and despite the fact there were virtually no people in the store, I was told that we could only use two sessions at a time per day. This wasn't explained online or on the phone, and the cost of getting to the store, parking, time etc only to leave in disappointment has left me seething. This was a gift for my girlfriend's birthday and my dad for father's day and we wanted to go together.
I suggested to the lady behind the counter that she take the voucher off me so that we could enter, and then she could swipe the card in the following days. She said this would be too much paperwork. She was smug and rude, making it into a joke. I asked for her name and she said Gemma 'manager'. If this was the case then how can she be so rude, unhelpful and unable to do anything other than suggest I email info@drspafish.com
Having tried to contact you via the email address she gave me a number of times, and having also tried to go on your website http://www.drspafish.com that now only comes up with 'this account has been suspended', I have decided to write to the address on the loyalty card. If this proves unsuccessful I will be taking the matter to trading standards and so on until I have my refund (£52.95 for the card, and preferably added expenses for petrol, car parking, sending this letter, etc).
Although I believe it was unclear that we couldn't use the voucher more than two times in a day, I would have at least been understanding if they were busy, and if they gave good customer service. Instead I would like a full refund and will certainly not be recommending Dr. Spafish to anyone else.
How can I go about getting a refund, and hopefully an apology, as quickly and with as little further hassle as possible?
Thank you. I look forward to your response.
Yours faithfully,
Damandem
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
I had never had a fish pedicure before but it was a really nice and fun experience. Would definitely do it again. I then had a pedicure and the therapist was really great and provided me with a lot of colours to choose from and really took her time to do an amazing job. My nail colour lasted for almost a month.
Hmmmm Ok this fish pedi thing is probably a fad that's going to blow over, sadly. It's a sweet experience and I would probably call it relaxing too - if it weren't for the swarms of screaming kids messing about and not being controlled by their parents - or the staff. Can't say may feet were any smoother or softer either. Aw but the fishies are adorable. And the spot was nice and clean and I was offered a fresh towel to wipe my feet before and after.
My 9 year old daughter visited Dr Spa Fish in Maidstone today along with 6 of her schoolfriends to celebrate a birthday, My daughter was a little scared to put her feet in and got a little emotional and asked if i could sit next to her, i asked the assistant in the shop if i was allowed to sit next to my daughter and hold her hand to reassure her, i was told i wasnt allowed due to HEALTH and SAFETY Reasons, when i asked what she meant she said i could fall over or be tempted to put my feet in the tanks (No Way) and this restricted my access to the other side. So the shop staff were happy for my daughter to sit there crying her eyes and getting distressed than allow me to sit next to her. i decided that it would be better for all concerned to get my daughter to put her socks and shoes on and leave. If the staff were really worried about people falling over they should address the uneven floor near to the entrance of the store which is like the surface of the moon. I for one wouldn't go back to this shop again.
The venue is close to my work place, took me a very short time to get there . It is a pretty straight forward treatment. I feel unsure how much of a pedicure I had and now feeling all so scared with all the hype that a fish pedicure could transmit viral illnesses. I did not get the cream as I was informed it was not part of the deal though it clearly stated so on my voucher. I am pretty sure I will not be having a fish pedicure in the future,
The Ardencote Spa was brilliant, although the decor could do with a spruce, just little things like rust marks and robes could be softer and nicer smelling, but the spa facilities and the treatments available and on offer are excellent. My therapist, Georgie, was one of the best therapists I have ever had, she listened to your query and your expectations and delivered. We will be taking advantage of any further offers at Ardencote.
The experience was ok. it was not overly unpleasant but the venue and the ambience was not inviting at all.
No disrespect to the company or staff but i would not go here again
best place for fish pedicures. Well set up and the iPad 2 are amazing! Hungry fish and feet are so soft after
Such a cute little salon. The fish pedicure was very ticklish but once I got use to it I had a browse on the iPad and the time flew by. I decided to treat myself as well to a manicure after and it was so well done. Very impressed with it all
The salon is within a quite a tacky shop downstairs in the basement so at first I was a bit unsure. When I actually got into the salon was I pleasantly surprised.
Salon is clean and modern.
I went with a friend and we both had a fish pedicure followed by a pedicure.
Tanks were clean and we had a good 45mins in the fish pedicure. We were given ipads to entertaining us while we were having our pedicures, which I thought was a really nice touch.
Overall good experience which I would recommend to others.
Definitly do not judge from the outside. Really pleased i found out about this place through a friend. It is like a boutique salon, small but really well forned and the treatments are of a very high standard and i am fussy! I live quite close and it is such good value compared to the the price of treatments at other salons in the bayswater/notting hill area
The staff just didn't seem to care. I got plonked down at the fish tank and then ignored. This is the only time I have not left a tip for a beauty treatment as I felt ignored. When I asked, nicely, about the included foot cream, I was told they are "always out of that item" but "do pop back because we sometimes get it in". It was good value on the Wahanda deal but I wouldn't go here again. I like my beauty treatments to come with some human warmth.I felt like an unwanted visitor.
Great experience at feet retreat, I went with my other half and it was very enjoyable and relaxing for both of us. As we had two treatments each we had to go in one at a time for our facials and fish pedicure. It would of been nice if we did the fish pedicure together. Over all great experience with extremely friendly staff.
Fantastic Time, treated like royalty!! Didn't stop laughing with the very friendly staff from when we arrived!! Will definitely be going back soon!!
Nice little place. My wife and I really enjoyed the fish pedicure with foot scrubs. Decorated so nice once you are inside the actual shop. Very good staff as well.
The location in Bayswater was pretty enticing until I saw that it was in this little shopping center right by the underground, which isn't even that visible. Having stepped downstairs and seen the decor I was pretty disappointed. Not the ideal spa location let's face it but other than that everything was great. The fish were happy, the staff a little miserable, but the fish tanks were the best I've ever seen. The iPad's were very handy and a cool gadget to have for a 45mins nibble on my feet..
Beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere. Suitable for all age groups. Friendly staff and excellent service. Treatments were great and the spa facilities were also good. Not too busy so perfect to be able to use all the facilities. Only draw back was lack of menu options for vegeratian food
I regularly go for fish pedicures and I like visting different places, but Orba was the worst - it wasn't clean or appealing at all. I was concerned as to how hygienic it was for the poor fish! I wouldn't recommend it nor will I be going there again.
I have been using the facilities at Paranha Pedi, Dundee for the past year. Initially it was for cosmetic purposes but then after the third half hour session I found that conditions I had been suffering for years, Cracked Heel and
Atheletes Feet had completely dissapeared. I now look forward to coming weekly to keep my feet clean and healthy. I find the staff both helpful and friendly. The only critism is having to walk across the floor in bare feet so I now use flip flops to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
The fish pedicure was lovely! The tanks were kept very clean and they had i-pads on every seat for customers to use! I had a lovely time and very smooth feet as a result!
I went for a fish pedicure purely because I wanted to try it. The fish don't have teeth and they are indeed very friendly, at most they tickle at the beginning! After the first few minutes I started to relax (nervous to start with and extra careful not to hurt them when i moved, but they are absolutely fine with it) and enjoyed the experience.
There are ipads for every customer to use, but I left mine aside, I was mesmerised with the fish doing their work. Besides, I didn't appreciate finger prints all over my ipad, I thought it should have been wiped before handing it over to me.
My treatment was for 30 minutes. When the time was up I was offered foot cream but I declined politely as I was wearing sandals that day.
Overall, happy I did it for the experience. My feet felt soft after it but I don't think 30minutes is enough to remove all the hard skin, a normal pedicure will achieve better results I think. In terms of the venue, I found the seats extremely uncomfortable and that's why I kept moving around.
I did have a lot of trouble getting through on the phone to book my appointment so I decided to go in person, and the girls were very accommodating and took me in without an appointment immediately. The salon is small, in the basement, but once in it was relaxing. The tanks are well kept and clean, and the fish look happy and well looked after.
Asase itself had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were happy to see you and help you, usually I feel awkward going into a place on my own but they made me feel very comfortable. The massage I received was the best massage I have ever had, the therapist was lovely and would definitley recommend going there for a massage!
The venue is situated in the quirky Camden market hall. The whole set up is very basic but very vibrant as well. The fish tanks look well cared for and clean and customers are given a water spray and towel to wash the feet before getting into the tank. And as for the fish nibbling the thick skin - sheer bliss! You end up with good looking feet feeling very soft to the touch. Recommended though I did not get the advertised foot moisturizer afterwards.
I had a great treatment at Tickled Tootsies, thanks very much to the staff who looked after me! It was tickly at first but I got used to it and my feet were lovely and soft afterwards!
Fantastic friendly owner and his staff. My only gripe was the floor was dirty which put me off a bit as i am considering going for more treatments. Also very difficult to get hold of them on the phone at times. Otherwise a really enjoyable experience. Well done Guys
I really liked the place. The guy running it was even entertaining. We had the place to ourselves too which was great. The ipads are a brilliant idea ... but I hadn't seen my friend for a while to we just chatted and enjoyed.
Took my friend for a birthday treat and wasn't disappointed. Had a great experience, Stephen couldn't have been lovelier, very informative and the treatments were great. It was my first fish pedicure & would definitely go again.
Probably the cheapest place in London to get a fish pedicure and great for first timers who want to try it out . It's fun and it gets you chatting to strangers sat next to you as well as other onlookers. My feet definitely felt softer afterwards.
Don't book it expecting a relaxing spa like experience. It's busy, noisy and more like sitting in a bustling cafe then a quiet sanctuary! Having said that, it's fun but probably worth going with a friend than on your own.
The place was nice once in there but slighty weird as you have to go into a shop then downstairs into a basement. We had i-pad use during the treatment which was good but it didn't really get internet signal which was a bit annoying. The fish pedi was cool and they moisture your feet after which was nice. Overall good experience but could have been better.
Had the most delightful experience here at AquaticA. I was a bit skeptical putting my feet in a tank full of tiny fish, didn't have a clue what to expect or how it might feel. Just as i put my foot in the fish spa, literally all the fish came for my feet and started picking at the hard edges around my heel. It was an amazing feeling as i was relaxed straight away. I noticed the fish only go for the problem areas and leave the rest of the feet alone. The free coffee was a nice touch as were the foot lotion i got to apply after i took my feet out and dried it with a clean white towel. I have already booked my second appointment so the loyalty stamps will fill up in no time so i will be getting my freebee very soon. They do a loyalty scheme, where after 5 paid treatments you get the 6th free. Thank you very much team AquaticA n ill see you next Wednesday and the following and hopefully ill persuade my mates to come too.
The fish footspa was a very delightful experience. The fish pedicure was something I always wanted to try but I was abit scared but the staff at Aquatica made me feel very comfortable and welcoming. I would recomend Aquatica to everyone whether its your first ever experience or for a fun day out. Will definatly be coming again =)
it was a very good deal! I would definitely consider going to fish pedicure again. Staff were nice and friendly, so the whole experience was really enjoyable. It was so funny to see fishes peeling the dead skin :)
Saw this place from bus on my way home from work, so i dragged my mate and went to try it. The level of service is second to none as the staff go out of their way to make your visit a special one. The extra 10 mins we got for paying for a half hour treatment was a treat. The staff are really friendly and helpful. we will be coming back soon.
We just went in as a laugh.....but i must say i'm definitely going back for more, The staff are so friendly and the hot coffee which came complimentary was probably one of the best coffees iv had in a long time. They even let you use the wifi so you can do your usual stuff on your phone while the little fish do their business......... A very relaxing and enjoyable experience. would recommend to everyone.....Thanks guys
It was very small but perfectly formed. right next to the tube. great value for money.
On arriving at the salon - me any two friends were told that only two of us could have the treatment as at booking (2 months in advance) the person had only applied the two codes - when they looked through their diary they saw three codes had been given, so after rearranging appointments with clients due in later we eventually got to all have our treatments - other than this blip the experience was great, friendly staff lovely treatment would go back
This is quite a classy fish spa as fish spas go though its not reflected in the price they charge. The decor and ambience is spot on, and I quite liked the relaxing music though I almost feel asleep during the foot massage as I was so relaxed :-)
Had a great time, very funny experience felt very tickly but was a fun thing to do, would do it again! Nice place lots of things they do there as well as the fish pedicures.
I went for a fish pedicure and pedicure using a wahanda voucher. The fish pedicure didn't remove all of my hard skin. I enjoyed both treatments and felt the pedicure was done to a very good standard. I had the older woman and didn't have a foot massage even though the other therapist did it for her clients.
Lack of ambience professionalism and organisation. Good value. It was very bright and appeared clean however, did not enjoy the open aspect for the manicure and pedicures, the therapist sat on the floor whilst performing the pedicure and did not appear very experienced.
Fantastic ticklish experience, relaxing, smooth feet like a baby.I would definitely recommend it to my friend. Will visit them again for sun beds.Everybody who decide to visit the sunshine will be pleased.Happy happy happy
Friendly and chatty therapist who made me feel welcome and at home, The fish pedicure had the extra s thrown in that I haven't seen at any salon. Would definately recommend and encourage you to visit, parking was easy too!
I enjoyed the experience especially because it was my first ever fish pedicure. I found the staff very friendly and was provided with a lot of information I asked for. It was a very nice way to spend Saturady afternoon.
This is an email I sent to the Dr SpaFish head office after my disappointing visit to the Camberley shop.
My friend and I were given gift vouchers for our birthdays and decided to take our friends and their children to Dr Spafish at Camberley for a really special treat for all of us. My 10 year old daughter has a verruca so, although she was disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to have a pedicure, I told her she could have a hand treatment instead. I rang ahead because I wanted to check the Camberley shop had a hand treatment facility and to let them know that we had about 8 people and would we need to book.
I want to let you know that I was a bit taken aback by the curt telephone response that we would have to be at the shop by 2pm because they were closing early due to a shortage of staff. I really felt that I was asking a big favour to be allowed to go! We arrived at the Camberley shop just after 2pm and I have to say frankly, and because I have no better adjective, that the Supervisor was a complete bitch. I told her my daughter couldn’t have the foot treatment because she had a verruca and she said “Let me see her hands then”. My daughter had a very small scab on one of her knuckles, (which would probably have come off with a scratch) and two blood blisters, which she has had all her life, but the Supervisor waved her hand over my daughters hand and said thoughtlessly “She’s got all these scratches, she can’t do it”. I asked if her friend’s feet could be checked before we went through the process of payment, but was told that I would have to pay and if the assistant deemed her feet to be unsuitable I would have to return to the desk for a refund. Needless to say my daughter and her friend were very upset, although her friend was subsequently allowed to partake. We decided to go ahead with everyone else but thought at least Gemma could watch the process. The rest of us were led through to the pods and the assistant started to explain. I asked if my daughter (who was in tears on the other side of the barrier) could at least sit with me to see. The assistant went to the supervisor and asked but came back and said “Sorry, she’s not allowed. Head Office says health and safety means only people who have paid for treatment can be this side of the barrier.” Considering that one of her 10 year old friends was allowed to have the treatment, without adult supervision, but Gemma was not allowed to even sit and watch under my supervision was completely baffling to me and to her. I truly feel sorry for anyone that books a children’s party at the shop as I’m sure there must always be one or two with at least a small scab, and I dread to think how they feel if they are rejected after having filled in the forms and making payment, then being told to go back to the desk for a refund.
As we left, I told the supervisor that her treatment of us had completely ruined our treat – that even a smile on greeting and a friendly attitude may have made the whole thing easier and maybe she could consider this when future customers visited. Her reply that “Head Office....... health and safety....” served only to irritate me more. I want to assure you that we were not a rowdy crowd – but a perfectly considerate and polite group who had their treat spoiled by a surly and inconsiderate supervisor’s handling of the situation.
At some point I would like to enjoy this experience with my daughter, but just in case, I would like to know if this is really the attitude of “Head Office”. I certainly won’t be going back to Camberley and I will tell anyone that asks about it very frankly what my experience was, but I would like to know if I would encounter the same attitude at all of your franchises.
I found the facilities and ambience to be quite average and plain, I have been to nicer fish pedicure type salons who charge a similar price and possibly a bit more. Overall I was happy with my experience, the staff were pleasant and nice which is what created the experience. This was my first fish pedicure so the pleasant staff and hospitality was reassuring. I was satisfied with my experience, but more so satisfied with the value for money.
It looks quite bad from the outside (downstairs in the shop)..but as soon as you walk in to the spa... the atmosphere is absolutely amazing!! So relaxing...
In spa I was given an I-pad to use during the fish pedicure which I thought was quite nice touch.
The pedicure after was really, really good... So I asked If I can have a manicure as well...
I really enjoyed and even brought my son with me few weeks later to enjoy fish pedicure.... He absolutely loved it and wanted to come back next day.....
A little treat having feet nibbled made me scream!!My daughter thought it was hilariously funny. I'd definitely have it done again. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Using a wahanda voucher made it more reasonably priced.
Had a little difficulty finding this little clinic but it was well worth it once we arrived. Thoroughly enjoyed the almost 2 hours spent there, we hadnt paid for such a long session but the therapist didnt mind giving us a little extra time :). All in all a great experience and the place was really nice with friendly staff. Just make sure you take a quick look at where it is before you leave!
really great place. really lovely welcoming staff. treatment was great and will definitely go again!
This was excelent value for money and have obtained a loyalty card, really great treat.
Love it! The receptionist was absolutely lovely and helpful, and the fish were pretty cool too! ;) Will be going back for sure... And now that they have loyalty cards, it's even more of an incentive to visit!
Not very fancy from outside, but inside is lovely and modern. The owner was helpful and polite....very clean and the foot rub scrub was heavenly and smelt a treat. Would Recommend!!
Started off a week of pampering ourselves with a fish pedicure. Location was easy to find, and had both a relaxing therapy session, and time to chat to family members. Friendly staff, cleanliness first class, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
WENT TO HAVE MY ;;FEET DONE AT ,,HOUNDSHILL SHOPPING CENTRE
AND CAME OUT FEELING GREAT,,ALSO MY FEET ARE MUCH MUCH BETTER;;
SO WHEN IN BLACKPOOL PLEASE GO ITs ATREAT ;;THANK YOU ;;JOHN
Really good value for money, we traveled to the appointment and made a day of it. Defo worth a second trip.
I took my mum as a surprise and then she had to hold my hand before i could get my feet in,the staff were brill and full of information for this and there other treatments,as if wed known the girls for a while lovely.experience, cant wait to go again, loved it all.x
The whole experience was great - from the easy booking until the ipad that you can use while you are enjoying the fish pedicure. The place is very clean, and the decoration is very cute.
The fish therapy is great. The salon is basic. The staff on the day I visited, which was Saturday in September, were disinterested even though I was the only client at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon! On arriving I was asked if I would like to pay before the treatment which is unusual in itself, but was then told they only accept cash and was this OK? No it wasn't. I hadn't got £35 cash so had to go and get some before the treatment commenced. After the fish I was told to follow the "therapist" upstairs. I had two bags of shopping, a drink and a handbag. No offer of help despite the fact that I clearly have some difficulty with walking. The pedicure was OK. She left me, and the cold water bath, for 10 minutes whilst the varnish dried! I moved the bath so I could put my feet down in a comfortable position. She came back up, took the tissue out from my toes and said I'll see you downstairs~ no offer of help to put on my flip flops. The varnish was not dry, I smudged two nails and left vowing to never return. Such a shame. When at Ecclesall Rd the experience was far superior with very caring and capable staff.
great experience. Definitely great value. I thought the foot massage would have been longer but nonetheless my feet felt so refreshed afterwards! The staff were really lovely and friendly too. I'm considering getting a loyalty card for regen!
This was my first ever experience at any fish pedicure place. I didn't know what to expect. It was actually a gift for my girlfriend and I joined in the experience too :-) It was really really good and now I'm hoping to open one myself. In the beginning it feels like pins and needles then you get use to it. Overall it was amazing.
Lovely space, very small but clean and modern. Great parking, in a great location. Would recommend.
The chocolates were nice (lindt) and i was offered a glass of bubbly unlike some places!!
Lovely friendly welcoming staff. Great value for money. However not enought fish pedicure bowls so going with friends meant it took a long time and we couldnt enjoy it together.
The place itself was a bit strange, we initially thought it was a flower shop, and then a newsagents. So i can't say it was much of an ambience. With the voucher it was worthwhile and we got the treatment we were expecting so facilities were adequate and the owner was friendly and accommodating.
It didn't know exactly what to expect, but I must say I was not very impressed. The treatment seemed a bit basic. My feet were not much smoother after it was over, and my nails were not done afterwards.
I expected more.
The staff and manager were friendly, and the place itself was nice even though not in the most obvious of places.
Do not think I will have another pedicure of this kind again -anywhere, but I am glad I experienced it.
A central location in camden market so busy and lots of passers by looking in. I had been before having used the voucher I bought for someone else who couldn't use this. The man managing this was very pleasent as before and jovial. I'm still not sure of the hygiene element but seems to be okay with others and there is clearly a filter in the tanks.
Central venue at very good price and pleasant staff but would prefer somewher less public and quieter so I can enjoy the experience.
Was made to feel great on arrival. The gentleman who owns it was lovely and a good laugh, bear in mind there is only 1 fish pedicure bowl so if 2 of you go then you have to take turns. But it was lovely, had a glass of bubbly and lindt chocoloates as promised and the foot rub was delightful........
Would definetly recommend and return!!!
The fish pedicure was really really nice and we were made to feel very welcome. The tanks are very clear and the water is filtered with UV lights keeping it hygienic. Highly recommended.
It was very nice and the pedicure stayed on my foot for a whole month.
The fish will not remove any hard skin but all the dead skin you have.
They give you Ipads while you are doing the pedicure.
Staff where very friendly.
Easy location to get to in centrallondon.
Dont forget to take flipflops as your nail polish will smudge otherwise.
Was really nice; but very 'plastic' and not like the plush ones in the city. However the young girl working was very nice and had to tollerate a lot of people trying to sneek their hands in. All in all not bad for the price but there are nicer ones where you wont end up in a lot of tourists photos.
Fish pedicures are great! Anesis has got it just right - atmosphere is great, staff brilliant!
Also had the HD brow treatment and LVL lashes. I am now an HD eyebrow addict. Wasn't 100% on the lashes as I like to wear mascara...
The Fish pedicure was such good value for money. I had never been before and the therapist made me feel very relaxed. She was so welcoming and friendly, she really made the experience. With so many nail treatments on offer and at good prices I will definitely be going back! :0)
I got to the Zoola Fish very late in the day as I couldn't find the place. Camden is such a maze. Luckily the very kind staff member let me start even though I was late for the last 'appointment'. The fish were pretty full so they weren't as hungry as I've had before but it was still pleasant and the staff member made it for me after a pretty stressful day.
Arden cote Manor was stunning, the staff were friendly helpful and my our visit very relaxed, the gardens and views are lovely I loved my fish pedicure, I now want to return to be served champagne in that Jacuzzi !! The signage in the hotel of directions could be improved as we did get lost, but its so pretty, we didn't mind!
OMG had such a great experience at this Fish Spa in St Albans i went along as part of a staff party and thought i was going to hate it but after a few glasses of champagne I dipped my feet into the warm waters and although it felt weird at first loved it!!! Those little fishies had a feast on my hard feet and the staff were fab and it was a great start to our night out. Thanks to all the girls and as Arnie would say " I 'll be back"
pleasant , quiet place hidden away from bustling Basewater Road. My visit to Perfect fish Spa exceded my expectations. i was welcomed with a smile. I could choose to read, listen to the music or simply relax while garra fish ticked my feet. A full quality pedicure followed. I was very pleased with results. I can definately recomment Perfect Fish Spa. I loved it and relaxed beautifully.
The venue was very small and didn't have much space or ambience. However, I really enjoyed my treatment, particularly the pedicure. The therapist was really friendly and did a great job. I thought it was a nice touch that they have ipads that you can play on whilst you are having your treatment. My feet felt amazing and the pedicure lasted quite a long time, which I was pleased with.
I went to Perfect Feet Fish Spa & Beauty to check the place out as soon as i bought the voucher, its is located in the basement of a crowded shopping arcade in queensway, first impression was not great, its surrounding by all sorts of boutiques, they used plastic tubs for the fish pedicure which really put me off, the owner said they will re-docorate the shop in 2 weeks, and they did ! 3 weeks later we went. they have glass tanks and fashionable dark wall paper instead, the fish pedicure and pedicure were good, its really good value for money !!! recommended !!!
Fantastic facilties the outside jacuzzi was a surprise! Staff very accomodating lovely fish pedicure treatment. Beauty treatment area on the small side but there was a large group of clients. Would recommend Ardencote to friends.
Lovely friendly salon. Therapist very informative and chatty made our fish pedicure and visit enjoyable. Nice and private setting for treatment, not in a window like a lot of places! Would recommend to others to try.
My pedicure was fantastic, it is now 3 weeks ago and the nail varnish is still looking like new even after a holiday.
Facilities were clean and staff were really nice too. Well recommended!
My sister and I loved this treatment and it was really fun, plenty of laughter. The staff were really helpful and nice. I would have liked our fish to have had a snooze before we put our feet in as they seemed a bit less interested than the ones in the next tank that had been covered up for 20 minutes. It was a great treatment though and my feet felt lovely.
Went with my husband yesterday 28/8/11 who had not had a fish pedicure before and 2 children age 9 and 7. I had previously had a fish pedicure once before and loved it. This experience however was very different. No staff to greet us. She quickly sprayed top of our feet and told us to put our feet in. Went away and left us for 10 mins only coming back to tell our children off for putting there finger in. They were just curious! After 10 mins she patted our feet dry, we paid and that was it! Have just read online that we were supposed to get a moisturising foot massage afterwards and the whole experience should have lasted 20 mins. I dont think she could be bothered as it was nearing the end of the day. She did spray our childrens hand to let them put there hands in but when another customer came along and did the same she was rude to them and they just left. She could of had another potential customer but her manner just sent them away. Wouldn't come back there again for a fish pedicure would go elsewhere where customer care matters.
This fish pedicure shop is much better than most i ever went to - including Thailand. The ambience is nice and there's a good atmosphere. It's perfect for a nice day out, some beauty, wine and dine after. I would recommend this place.
There's a lot of hype around this and it's good fun. Strange but it worked for me even though I could barely keep my feet still. Nice girlie thing to do and i would recommend it. I think you should do it rgeularly to get the most out of it.
Really nice place with great extras like ipads and magazines to use when having your fish pedicure. Really healthy fish and lots of fish in tank so the pedicure was really good. Very relaxing environment and friendly staff made you feel really special.
I had heard a lot about the fish pedicure and saw the deal that came with the 45 minute OPI pedicure too. I went by myself and the place is small but really well set up. The fish pedicure was first and they give you Ipads to use while your feet are submerged. I found the pedicure quite strange and couldn't relax (although everyone I have spoken to says they find it so relaxing). For me it was just a bit strange. Glad I did it, but wouldn't do it again. The OPI pedicure was excellent and my feet still look great 4 weeks later!
great value.
I have told many freinds about this experience and recommended that they try it. I had four weeks of pain free walking - after chiropody it's about four days! I was over the moon about the treatment - walking on air! My ndaughter and I laughed, as it was ticklish, but could then have a tete a tete as our feet were smoothed and softened by these little fish - a wonderful experience!
Had a fish pedicure followed by a opi pedicure both were great, it was first time I had a fish pedicure was a little funny at 1st but soon didnt feel a thing! Loved the fact you got an ipad to use while having your treatment!
The Salon is not very appealing from the outside and not easy to find, but OK when you get inside. Stephen and Donald are lovely guys. The treatment actually worked. It was the best £45.00 I have ever spent. I shall return despite the fact that it is a 2 hour round trip for me. Tried the fishy feet tank too which was great.
Convenient location near tube, have to go through dingy area to get to salon which is tucked away in basement at end of corridor, but once in (v. small) salon, it is quite smart & clean. Nice touch to have the
i-pads to use. Therapist was excellent, took great care over my pedicure & also regularly offered drinks of water throughout treatment. Very good value with Wahanda voucher.
I loved the whole of the experience with the fish pedicure as it felt like little bubbles were at my feet and i did feel a difference from the experience My therapist was a little quiet at the start but i found out from other staff that they had a bad day by getting locked out for three hours She did provide me with advice though about my cracked heels I really enjoyed the experience and would go again
It a really cool setting in Camden, other people could use the same 'fishpond' as you but it wasn't too busy as we went mid week.
The fish did feel quite weird on your feet but it was quite relaxing and I would say that 30minutes is the right amount of time. I feel that it did work quite well and my feet felt nice after, I may advise that you soak your feet before you go to have this treatment done so that the skin on your feet softens first.
Both myself and my boyfriend really enjoyed this and loved the location. Well worth £9 that we paid.
I loved this place. It was very relaxing and calm and being give an iPad to use whilst there was an amazing touch. Also the lady doing the pedicure was running a bit late so they let me have extra time in the fish tank whilst I waited. The pedicure was great and actually lasted months! Definitely would go back!
Having been to Camden Market many times before, I knew to expect that this was an open air stall. I had been wanting to try out the fish pedicure for a while and found it a bit different, but pretty enjoyable! Nice staff and hygienic etc. It was quite novel having people watch but I would definitely recommend it :-)
It was one of my best pedicure. Great Location, even if it is in a basement it is a great shop. I couldn't believe when the therapist asked me if I wanted to use a ipad while I was have my fish pedicure.
Great service, the therapist was very professional, took her time and was very good.
Many thanks
It is a Lovely shop even though located on basement floor. The Staff is welcoming. the fish pedicure is great . it takes about five minutes to get use to the tickling. It is an overall good experience. I would surely recommend this fish pedicure.
You have to walk through another shop and into the basement to get to the spa but once there it was a good experience. Staff very helpful and clean environment.
I went with my mum & husband to this evening & we all really enjoyed ourselves. My husband & I had the fish pedicure and it was great! My mum had a manicure at the same time & it was nice to all be together during the treatments. I bought myself a handbag, but had to borrow money from my mum as we didn't realise there would be items for sale. the drinks and fruit nibbles were nice. In all it was a pleasant & relaxing evening in lovely surroundings.
The fish pedicure and Opi pedicure were spot on. It was a very interesting experience with the fish and the lady doing my pedicure was really friendly and approachable.
The only downside to this experience is that I didn't like the venue itself, it was a bit dingy, dark and felt a little small. The other staff seemed quite miserable. I didn't really feel that comfortable or relaxed there.
Also it would have been good for them to recommend that I bring sandals as I had never been for a pedicure before and whilst I sat with my feet under the fan for 15 minutes, they hadn't dried. However my friend and i had to leave, so I had to wear my closed top shoes and the varnish was smudged as a result.
Oh the plus side they did have ipads and lots of magazines available for using whilst you had your pedicures etc.
I would recommend this place for quality and service, but not if you wanted a nice relaxed atmosphere.
The sensation of the fish is hilarious, and it took me a good 5 minutes to stop giggling!!! Excellent OPI pedicure followed. Love the idea of iPads - great bonus. Do the fish really eat deadskin?? Great value for money!
Location of salon a little difficult to find as right at the back of a downstairs basement area of a multi occupied shop. Not helped by local tube station being closed. Salon is on the small side & whilst plenty of fish tanks, treatment area is a little cramped. Found myself sitting in path of doorway when having my pedicure. That said the therapist was lovely & did a great pedicure. Not sure what difference the fish made to be honest though. Good value for money. Thanks Wahanda.
The venue was smaller than I expected but the experience was amazing. You were also given an iPad to play with whilst the feet munched away at your toes.
It was a brilliant experience and excellent value for money too! Couldn't have asked for a better day. Have recommended Wahanda to various friends since this particular experience.
We went for the luxurious spa day and it was well worth it. I would highly recommend this venue for spa day, it has such a relaxing environment.
We started off with lunch in the spa lounge, although a little pricey the food was good. We were shown around then spend the day relaxing in the pool area.
This was followed by our treatments which were the best I have experienced.
Would definitely go back!
The experience is something you've never experienced before and definately worth a visit. The staff were very friendly and helpuful when explaining what the fish do and the conditions in which they are kept.
The venue itself was not very nice, inside was better that ouside (although very very dark!) It wasn't what I would really associate with a nice relaxing spa venue. The staff though were excellent, loved the fish pedicure and the owner was happy to chat to us about the fish. Ipads were a nice touch. The Opi pedicure we had was also excellent. I had a special offter for this and it was excellent value for money. I scored low on ambience for two reasons, one the venue itself and secondly because whilst having our Opi pedicure two young slightly drunk women came in towing about 5 young children between them and proceeded to make the most awful din. They decided to have a go on the fish pedicure and the children were screeching, the women were shouting to eachother and it really was awful when you're trying to have a relaxing pedicure. To be fair the staff did ask them to make sure their children sat down quietly but really it got so bad I do think they should have asked them to leave.
To sum up I'd say if you get a special offer - go for it, you get great service and a tip top pedicure. However I wouldn't pay full price and I wouldn't recommend if you want the whole relaxing spa ambience.
I purchased the fish pedicure on a buy one get one free for me and my friend. The place was very easy to find even though it is hidden away. The atmosphere was good and all the people who were having the pedicures were laughing and chatting. They have done a very good job with the space they have.
I really enjoyed my visit. I had a Fish pedicure and a file and polish. I paid £10 which was very good value. I enjoyed the treatments and the polish lasted for ages.
didnt know what to expect from this treatment but was pleasantly surprised. the faciities arent great-it's effectively a market stall indoors but outdoors! so ur a little on display. however, the treatment was a wierd feeling.....a bit ticklish but you got used to it. good value for money though, but they had run out of foot salts so gave us a cheap looking substitute instead!
if i was to get it again, would prob pay a bit more and go to a nicer place though
Myself and a friend had the deluxe fish pedicure. Once we had overcome the thought of putting our feet in with the fish, then the tickling sensation it was very therapuetic! Only negative I would say is that it takes more than one pedicure to notice any difference. Would definately recommend as a great experience.
This was a fantastic experience, never had anything like this before, but would definitely have again. As someone who doesn;t like her feet being touched - I was quite nervous but after a few seconds you get used to it and it just feels like a tickling sensation. After 5 minuites I was very relaxed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!
We went as a group of 4.As they can do 2 OPI pedicures at one time, we got extra time with the fish. Staff are friendly. Venue small and located in basement of a boutique which is not the best entrance. The fishes were 'stronger' than other salon I have used...sometimes even stinging/painful! The 45 minute OPI pedicure was top notch...will definitely go back for the OPI pedicure but not the fish.
I found the ladies at the fish spa very helpful - I called to book my appointment and made them aware if was a surprise for a friend so they were flexible with regards to which treatment she may want.
Easy location to find - plenty of Space for us to sit
One slight down side was that there was only one lady free to do our nail treatment so for all four of us we were there along time ( I was Made aware of this so not a real issue)
Would use again
Perfect Feet Fish Spa is probably my favourite places for beauty treatments. It's a small spa but with a large list of treatments, located at the bottom of a touristy sort of shop. (Some have said they found its location a little surprising but I quite like it tucked away like that!)
The fish pedicure was nice and the use of iPads is a really great idea. The pedicure itself was excellent - I really felt my feet were healthier afterwards - especially since, when I told her how my nails were giving me problems, the pedicurist filed and neatened them to solve the problem, giving me advice along the way. She got my feel looking nice and healthy - I think the whole pedicure really fixed my feet! The OPI pedicure also lasted a long time and when I removed the polish my nails still looked healthy underneath. I would really recommend the place.
The fish spa was great, each person has his/her own tank, not like some other fish spa where you have to share the tank with at least one other person. To keep customers entertained, they also provide ipads, so that you can either listen to music, play games or read e-books. brilliant place, will definitely go back!
Whilst the location wasn't fantastic (the basement of a large shop given over to small units) the staff and general experience more than made up for this. Everything was clean, the staff were very attentive and despite our bargain booking, we were treated like royalty from start to finish. The fish pedicure was followed by a thorough pedicure and polish and the staff took the time to complete our treatments to a very high standard. Nearly four weeks later, the polish on my toes hasn't chipped or flaked at all. The salon was quite a journey from home for my friend and I but we will be booking again very soon.
Took a friend, visiting from the States to Camden market and thought this would be a real Feet Treat!!
My first fish pedicure and hers as well, ....very amusing and quiteweird at the same time, with the fish
clinging on to your toes. We enjoyed the moment , initial shrieks and a lot of laughter. It was proving very
popular at the time were there. Oh ....... and the staff were great.
Wellll I booked the place first as I thought it was such good value, after booking I did read up on the place and discovered it was in the market hall. Ok so the venue wasn't delux but it was defo good vale and a great experience. And the people are great! Free cream too :d
I took my friend along as a birthday treat and we spent a blissful and relaxing hour talking to the staff, who were very polite and shared interesting facts about the fish and the trend, whilst we became comfortable with the strange sensation of the fish ... I'd recommend this experience to others :-)
Really enjoyed it and my feet felt great afterwards. It is in an open environment at the Camden Markets so as long as you don't mind people stopping and looking then it is great. Very hygienic- they check and wash your feet before they go in the water.
Very busy venue. Went with my sister so layout was ok for us but would be difficult in larger groups. Tickles! Feet felt softer afterwards, I think. Wahanda deal made it worthwhile.
it was amazing experinace, i would definetly recommand this to do atleast with one of your friends as its good fun. i am going there again for xmas dooooooooooo
Staff were a little abrupt, not clearly explained what the process entailed, quite busy with lots of children running around, treatment was quite short 15 mins for £10.00 which is a little excessive to say the least!! I would go again, but for the price, I think that, half an hour for £10.00 would be a more reasonable price. Also, some people turned up with open wounds on their feet and were just told to cover them with a plaster!!!! As a nurse, I found this quite disconcerting and was concerned for the risk of cross contamination, also, our feet were not examined prior to the treatment, what if someone has a fungal infection eg athletes foot or a verrucae, both of which are highly contagious. Having said that, the actual experience was quite good although my daughter and I did not notice a huge difference in the amount of dead skin which was removed, have taken off more with a ped egg!!!!! Suggestions would be; lower the price, improve customer relations and provide clear concise information including actually examining someones feet before they use the spa.
I took my daughter as a pre-holiday treat, we had a fabulous time. Kai Ko's is clean and modern and the staff were really welcoming. It was a great experience but would not have paid full price for the treatment.
I took my nervous sister for a birthday treat.
Although initially nervous I managed to put my feet straight into the tank ,my sister however struggled at the thought. All my coaxing was in vain, the therapist came over chatted to her, put her hand in the tank to attract the fish giving my sister the chance to put her feet into the water before the fish started to work. I was given a lovely cup of coffee to ejoy during the treatment.
She loved the treatment and we would both go back again.
I went for a fish pedicure, foot scrub, foot massage with soothing balm using a kgb deals voucher. I was very disappointed with what I received. The fish pedicure lasted 20 minutes and was ok. A scrub wasn't even used. A cheap lotion was applied without a foot massage. It definitely wasn't worth £45. (full price). I'm glad I got it discounted. I won't be going again.
Lovely, relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff that instantly put me at ease. I felt a bit nervous both being on my own and having the fish pedicure for the first time, but the staff were great and I really enjoyed my experience. I was also offered refreshments while I waited in a massage chair with my feet soaking in warm water. Excellent - I'll definitely return!
Stumbled across this little gem when I was walking home from work one day. I had always wanted to try the fish pedicure but was a little apprehensive about the hygiene concerns but this fish spa is so professional and clean. I then had a deluxe pedicure which was so amazing, the therapist really knew what she was doing. i will be returning
This place is very hidden away and a pleasant surprise when you do find it. The treatment was a little disappointing.. .our feet were (poorly) wiped on arrival before we plunged them into the fish tanks. We were then offered i-pads - mine didn't have internet connection and my friend's was incredibly slow.
We probably had too much time with our feet in the tanks as by the end of the session our toes were prune like as they had been in the water for too long. I was expecting a relaxing foot rub using OPI products but in reality all we received was a quick superficial application of an OPI lotion.
I will not be returning.
I had my feet done with fish and my gf had a manicure. We both had a good experience. Was my first time with the fish, my girfriend always has manicures here and always loves her nails afterwards. Really sweet little salon, would recommend the fish and i know my gf would highly rate the manicure service and banter we have with the owner.
Loved my time at the salon. the fish are fab. It is so relaxing. Julie was talkative and made sure I was at ease and comfortable. I even had a photo taken and emailed to me later that evening! Super service. I will be back.
I was really impressed with this place - as a loyal customer of Appyfeet in Nottingham I felt I should go there, but time was a factor so I tried Aquachic instead, sorry Appyfeet you have lost out as here you get great customer care in the way of a foot pre wash, lovely massage and with the 30 mins a glass of champagne. I shall definitely go back.....
I purchased a deal through KGB which was good value - a 30 minute fish pedicure and a 10 minute foot massage. Got off to a good start, after a quick phone call they agreed to accommodate us half an hour before our booking. However.....upon entering we were just told to sit at the back by the washers and we waited about 10 minutes for the main lady to get off the phone. She finally got off the phone and looked at our feet (I was with my friend and my mum). My friend and I both had our toes painted and she told us that we were not allowed to have varnish on during the fish pedi (which was fair enough) and that they tell people that over the phone before they come....they hadn't and her response, 'well 99% of the time we do!' She asked me to sit so she could have a look at my feet and then asked my friend to take the varnish off her feet (handing her some cotton balls soaked in acetone - which as a result ruined her nails with Shellac on them!) The lady used a glove - remember this glove for future reference! She them rinsed my feet in COLD water (had to hint and ask if the water in the tank is this cold!?). With the SAME glove she washed my mum's feet (not that my I have anything for my mum to catch or vice versa - the lady left the glove on the seat as opposed to disposing of it). The fish pedicure was excellent - the fish were definitely the best part of the experience. We weren't offered any magazines, so I just asked my friend to grab a batch for my mum and I. Now back to the glove...after the fish pedicure, the same lady put that same glove on (it still had stains from my coral nail varnish on it) and used it to massage my feet! As a beauty therapist, I know that hygiene and sanitation is paramount when treating customers, whatever the treatment. I wouldn't recommend this place, although I must say the lady who massaged my mother's feet was lovely and had very good people skills compared, especially compared to the main lady.
I booked with my husband for the fish pedicure via the KGB deal, and didn't really know what to expect as this was our first time having our toes nibbled!.
We recieved a lovely warm welcome and reassurrance that the fish don't actually nibble they just gently suck and seated in some fab massage chairs whilst we soaked our feet in rediness for the fish. Refreshments were also offered whilst we soft soaked them which was nice.
We also took along our 6 year old son to observe initially but he then changed his mind and wanted to take part too, as children do, and the owner was very obliging and allowed him to take part with us which was really kind.
We also found the staff very informative, re the benefits/enzymes of the fish pedicure which We weren't aware of which was good, and my feet truly did feel a lot softer after the experience .
Would definately recommend lovely relaxing salon with excellent staff.
Bought this for my wife, this is her review. A pleasant little salon. Friendly staff. Really good to be given an i pad to doodle with during the treatment. Was all I could do to put my feet in the water. A weird feeling and I wouldn't do it again, but that's just me, no reflection on the salon.
I had a really great fish pedicure and proper pedicure at this salon. Loved the ipad and really nice place. Will def visit again
We visited Lagoon for a fish pedicure and manicure. really nice relaxing environment, with good amount of information from the owner about Garra Rufa fish and leaflets as well! Didn't know what to expect with the fish spa but after 20 seconds of my feet feeling a little bit tickly it was quite a nice sensation and my husband felt really relaxed in a spa saloon! My feet were so much softer after just one visit, I've booked some more treatments as my heels are so rough it'll take several visits. Manicure is looking great. have shellac polish which gives a lovely shiny finish and a week later there are still no marks on the finish!
I went with a friend to try to fish pedi (30min fish experience plus a foot rub with lotion)
The fish pedicure is a strange experience, it feels really odd, tickly, and a little bit alarming in the beginning, but we stuck at it and found the giggling more relaxing than the actual fish part!!
The salon is basic, but functional, (except for the use of ipads which are a lovely touch) the treatment goes by quickly and you get a quick rub afterwards with some foot lotion, but it's not really relaxing or pampering in the pedicure style. That said, my feet feel better, smoother and softer, and I left the salon with a smile after laughing and giggling at the fishy experience!!
It's good value if you pick up a deal, (ours was excellent value) but not sure I would pay the full price.
Good luck if you do try it - it's great fun!!
I was surprised that it was in a shopping centre which meant that people were stopping and staring whilst you had the treatment which was a little off putting. Also we didn't receive the free Orba Foot Salts which we were meant to.
We were visiting the Cathedral in St Albans after afterwards saw the Fish Spa on Holywell Hill. I had read a lot about them and we decided to give it a try. The ambience was very relaxed with chilled music and the fish spa was a great experience. I would certainly go again.
I am a fan of fish pedicures. Some find it too tickly but I find it very soothing. However, I would not visit here again as the venue is far from relaxing! It is a very crowded tourist destination so you feel like you are part of the attraction!
Perfect Feet Fish Spa & Beauty - The Salon is situated downstairs a shop to the left of Queensway station. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We were a bit late and they were very understanding. The treatment itself was very relaxing and the Ipads and magazines they provided kept us entertained. I would definitely return.
Fish pedicure itself was great. And use of iPads is a nice touch. However, there is not much else to the experience. The location is not great and the toilets are terrible.
I have actually been to Pefect Feet twice now, first for a fish pedicure and OPI pedicure then secondly for a fish pedicure with OPI foot rub.
The fish pedicure both times was great - comfortable seating in a relaxed atmosphere and fish which seemed more than happy to service your feet! (I've been to one other fish pedicure where it seemed the fish were smaller - perhaps they were younger? - so I think the fish here may have been more effective.) The use of the iPads is a really good idea; there are lots of games on them to amuse youself or you can surf the net. For one of my appointments I was a bit early and they even supplied me with an iPad while I waited.
The pedicure was the first pedicure I've ever had, and I was really happy with the result - it surpassed my expectations! The therapist was really friendly and listened to what I had to say about the condition of my feet, and then tailored the pedicure to help fix the minor problems I'd been having. My feet looked and felt the healthiest they had been in a long time. The whole experience was calming - the therapist took her time to do a really good job, rather than rushing through,
The OPI foot rub was (as others have mentioned) an application of a cream as opposed to a full-on footrub. The feet did feel moisturised afterwards.
I think the best thing about Perfect Feet, however, is the staff, who are extremely friendly and helpful. They're also very knowledgeable/professional, so you can ask them any questions about beauty/healthcare advice and they're more than happy to help.
On arrival to this place we were told by a stroppy foriegn woman that there was no booking made under my name (I had rang up a month before to book this). There was some confusion over whether my friend could have her hands done instead of her feet for the fish pedicure, which I had been told this was ok over the phone when I booked. The foreign woman at reception then had the cheek to ask us why we were laughing when she was getting confused over our voucher. I will laugh if I want to. Service was abismal. No atmosphere in this place whatsoever. Only redemption was the young girl woh carried out our manicure and pedicure. Would not go back to this place, even if you paid me. The staff need to work on their customer relations and go on a few courses and team building days away.
Booked this treatment for myself and also wanted to treat my ffriend Jane who was a bit curious but have ticklish feet! She was very surprised that she enjoyed it so much and said it felt more like bubbles around your feet which was excellent as I really wanted her to enjoy it!
I promise to take her again but this time hope to include a manicure as well!
Thanks Wahanda - this was a brilliant deal and we both plan to buy more Wahanda deals!
Val
I went to Asase with a group of friends - the spa it's self is lovely! The decor is modern and fresh and the facilities are great. I have been to a fish spa before and I have to say Asase Spa is of a much higher standard - your feet are washed by the human therapist and then you are given little slippers as you make your way over the the fish.
Its a very strange feeling but I really enjoyed my 30mins there and will def be back for further treatments like a hot stone massage :o)
This was my first experience of a fish pedicure, so didn't know what to expect, but I loved it! The salon had recently opened, so was nicely decorated. My young son came with me, and loved looking at the fish, and the therapist kept him happy was a large supply of chocolate!! The treatment was fab!
Attended the venue for a fish pedicure along with traditional pedicure. Left with super soft feet and shiny toe nails. Three weeks later and they are still looking good!! Bonus.
My friend had just the fish pedicure and said that although her feet felt a bit softer they were not as smooth as mine. Maybe the fish weren't as hungry ;-)
It was a rather bizarre experience as you sit with your feet in a tank of fish in full display of everyone at Camden market. A lot of people stopped to watch! The treatment was more relaxing than I expected and didn't tickle at all. My feet felt softer afterwards, but not as exfoliated as I'd have liked. I would do this again, but maybe for an hour, rather than half an hour, for a bigger impact.
The salon was difficult to find. I did worry for a moment about hygiene because the room where I had waxing was a bit untidy.
The fish pedicure was a bit disappointing, my heels did not come out as smooth as I expected but the experience was relaxing.
Good value for money
The venue is very close to the tube station but in a random shopping type centre. The salon itself is not fancy or a relaxing spa venue but it is functional.
There are four fish stations and plenty of magazines and ipads to keep you entertained. My appointment was for 6pm and it was very frustrating to be kept waiting for half an hour. The fish treatment is pretty standard if you have had these before.
The OPI pedicure was fantastic - very effective hard skin removal - probably the best I have had. What spoilt this treatment for me was the fact that even though I was already late because the fish treatments before me had over run, the therapist started on another customer before me. I then got another therapist who was also the receptionist who was very good but kept getting up to serve customers/answer the phone. In the end, what should have been an hour in the salon ended up being two and I had to cut the treatment short by only having one coat of colour as I was so late to meet my friend.
So - treatment itself spot on but speed of service was terrible.
Fish pedicure was good - feet were smooth afterwards, bit difficult to find.
Didn't like sittng in the middle of the market with everyone walking past taking photos. But not too bad for the price.
I really enjoyed the sensation of fish nibbling at my toes. It wasn't tickly, just odd and it did leave my feet feeling very smooth and pampered. My main reason for not rating the experience higher is that the venue was very basic - just a couple of tanks in a stall and so there was no sense of relaxation. It was good value though and I would certainly reccommend Zoola Fish to tired out shoppers in need of a little foot care!
My friend bought me this fishy pedicure as a present and we made our way to Perfect Feet on Sunday morning. We were running slightly late due to heavy traffic and gave them a call to let them know. They were very accommodating and still gave us our full treatment time despite the delay.
The venue is easy to find and really nicely decorated. The seats are very comfortable and the tanks nice and clean. Have to say I was very pleased to hear that until I put my feet in the tank...! It is a very unusual sensation and it took me a good 10 minutes to get used to it and calm down enough to enjoy my ipad. My friend was way more relaxed than me and that definitely helped overcome the initial shock. The little garra rufa were very diligent (and hungry!) and we were both very impressed with the end result.
I did not book the fish pedicure for the first three months after buying the deal, and when I finally decided to, I found out that the salon is under a new ownership, and they do not accept the Wahanda vouchers anymore. Had to go trough the hassle of requesting a refund through Wahanda. Wahanda was pretty quick and efficient, no problems with that, still I am disappointed. - It's not the first time that I have such a problem with the daily deals - though through different providers. In the future I will only book what I need to use immediately.
Really nice salon. Went with the bf for fishy treatment and both had pedicures - he really needed one. They did such a good job on his feet and the foot massage was blissful! Thank you, 5 *****
I saw this deal in the metro newspaper and rang the salon to book direct and visit them on the same day. What a pleasant transaction it was and the pedicure was by far the best I have ever had. The fish experience was a little strange but good to try one - it did make my feet softer.
Fish pedicure was really great experience. I had this treatment first time and I can recommend it with pleasure with. It's very nice:)) My feets felt wonderful after this exocit treatment.
Sunshine& Flower is quite small place and could be better arranged and have better commercial.
Thoroughly enjoyable first experience of a fish pedicure good location in Brighton, Friendly staff. Excellent for a pamper or a bit of a giggle with your friends. Definately would dip my tootsies again!!
I thought the Spa was great. Great ambience and location.
The fish therapy was great and the therapist ( although very quiet - didn;t actually say anything I don't think except asking me which colour I would like) did a great job painting my nails. Would recommend
First time I ever had a fish pedicure and it was certainly something to remember! I'll see how I get on with my feet over the next few days but they feel fresher. I went with a friend and we certainly enjoyed ourselves.
A very strange tickly sensation on my toes but it was good fun and my feet felt much better and livelier. It was great to get rid of all te dead, flaky, old, hard skin.
A bit tricky to find in the basement, and the treatment room was quite dark. Music was a bit loud as well, which didn't make it particularly relaxing. However the fish pedicure as well as the regular pedicure was great. Although the fish lost attention from time to time, the overall result was brilliant, the feet were nice and smooth afterwards. The pedicure was nicely made, and now ten days in the vanish still hasn't gone off the slightest.
To call this a Spa is pushing it - it's actually a unit in an indoor market, exposed to the stares of curious passersby at front and back. If you need the loo you have to go out and down the road to the underground public toilets.
When you arrive you're given a small facecloth with which to wipe your feet - and left holding it until you've finished, when you use it again to dry yourself off. The treatment itself involves sitting with your feet in a tank of little fish with another tank beside you and two more opposite. As mentioned before, there's no privacy - not even a curtain - so people walking through the market gawp at you, and one person even wandered in and stood having a good look. If the system had let me, I'd have given no stars at all for ambience. The only saving grace was the price. My feet did feel softer afterwards, but don't go to this place for a relaxing or pampering experience!
Staff were generally friendly and attentive. The experience was interesting but I think it will require a few more sessions to get completely smooth feet! I was expecting a proper foot rub with the offer though - we just got some peppermint lotion put on our feet.
it was a very nice experience, the place is very nice but, they should be quit when people are having the traitment, because the fish went away from our feet every time when there is an strong move or noise.
There was a man, who came to visit the girls, and he was just walking around all over the place, and I didn't like that.
The music was very loud and not appropriate for the treatment, it was like rock, we supposed to be relaxing.
But the staff nice and friendly, specially the young girl, who came to have a quick conversation with us, we felt special when she asked us where we were come from, and she was happy to hear that we were from Mexico.
The fish pedicure was a very strange sensation and not for the faint hearted, but really effective. The manicure was excellent. One of the best I've ever had and lasted for ages. The location isn't particularly attractive, but the actual venue was comfortable and clean.
I didnt now what to expect but went along to the fish spa as a teambuilding exercise from work. We had the Spa to ourselves and were treated to champagne on arrival and the girls were really friendly. They had plenty of tanks and the poor fish had my big size 12s to contend with but it was a real tranquil experience. I will be taking the girlfriend as a treat.
This fish pedicure was first thing i purchased thrugh Wahanda, Place in the middle Camden village totally amazing experience. Staff very nice and polite made it even better. i will be going back. Session was 30 min long and it really worked.
I visited asase spa at the height of the fish pedicure in december, and still don't really get what the fuss is about. It is essentially a novelty treatment, not a proper pedicure. Perhaps if you visited regularly then it would be as effective, but as a one-off it does not remove enough hard skin. The facilities are more well-maintained than other fish spas I've seen. The fish nibbling is an odd sensation, but one you get used to. At the usual price of £25 I was not a fan of this treatment.
This salon and fish spa has literally everything under 1 roof,we initially went for a fish spa treatment then ended up having a full body pamper inc our nails. A great air conditioned shop on a really hot day,and absolutely amazing treatments. really enjoyed, staff were great,a really nice personal luxury and classy fish spa and salon. Highly reccomended, cant wait to go back.
This was my first time trying out a fish pedicure, it was a bit freaky and weird so i decided not to look at the fish and just imagine that i had bubbles touching on my feet, sometimes it felt like pins & needles. The Gentleman assistant was happy to chat and told us all about the fish. We were given towels to dry off afterwards and moisturising cream was also available to finish off the experience. It is very good value for money, an odd experience but i will be returning as my feet were lovely and smooth afterwards.
Took my wife here and some friends, Staff were amazing, we had a pamper day and were at the salon in total for 5 hours, all the treatments were done very proffesionally, and all products used very of a luxurious brand. You can tell there was no expensed spared on the shop, yes its small but what salon isnt unless youre visiting a hotel spa. But for a central london fish spa and beauty salon this is probably in the top 5 in central london easilly. we are all definitely going back and have allready booked our appointments.
Thanks for a wonderful birthday treatment day Perfect Feet.
I went with my mum for the fish pedicure. Whilst it was fun I wouldn't have it done again. However I would have another pedicure with the therapist who was brilliant - my nail polish didn't chip until week 3! It isn't the most luxurious of settings but if you know this in advance it isn't a problem! It would have been nice to have been offered refreshments though.
The spa was quite clean. The staff were efficient and professional. Complimentary use of an Ipad went down well with me. Overall a good experience . I would recommend it to others.
It was ok, nothing great. Made me wait 40 mins even though I had a appointment. Treatment was so so.The location was easy to find, but it was with load of other shops.
It was a great exprience to have 30 minutes fish pedicure. The place is easy to find and the location is great. The staff was very kind and helpful. I can't believe that 30 minutes past so quick. I thought I would get bored at the beginning. The little fish work hard on my feet when I was playing ipad. I will definitely go back again.
It was a very nice experience, something new which i've never done before. I was pleased with the service, the staff, and the place aswell, very close to the station which is quite convinient. However the feeling at first is very strange and tikilish, but after about 15 seconds it becomes more comfortable. I enjoyed it.
This review is from my friend as we got her a Wahanda voucher as a present. She really enjoyed her treatment. She said her feet were really soft afterwards and she will have the treatment again.
I went with my cousin, took her for a late birthday treat. Was expecting a nicer salon, better facilities, and location. It was in the basement of a shop/plaza...and no phone reception either. the actual fish pedicure was enjoyable :) my first time, but was qquite a weird feeling, but i enjoyed it and would do it again. As for the pedicure after, i thought it was really nice, the therapist took her time, scrubbed, massaged, filed and everything really well. A very nice pedicure. She was really friendly and we had a few jokes and a good convo with both ladies.
I wasn't overly impressed with the venue in the basement of a tourist shop, it didn't seem a particularly professional set up. Having tried to call to cancel one appointment I found them very hard to get hold of. The actual salon was small but decent with only 4 tanks available. Once the form was filled out there was no explanation of the process or how it works which would have been a nice personal touch.
Once wiped down I was told to simply place my feet in the tank and handed an iPad to play with. Half an hour later when the timer went off, I was dried off and looking forward to the foot rub. Unfortunately this consisted of a quick once over with some foot cream which was about 10 seconds. I have to say I wasn't impressed with results, as I still had loose dry skin on my feet, and yes my feet were quite soft but if you spend half an hour with your feet submerged in water followed by an application of cream, you'll have the same result. I could definitely feel the fish working away but it wasn't the result I was expecting.
Nice little salon with good fish pedicures and calm atmosphere, good value for money and clean regarding the fish and how well they are.
This is a great little place with a lovely atmosphere and very clean and the fish are very healthy and well looked after, as I've been to a lot of fish spas and the fish here are really keen. Staff are friendly and thorough.
The place was really nice and very modern. The staff at first were not very welcoming and a lot of the time I was not sure what I was meant to be doing, they didnt even tell me about the fish where they were from or what i was to expect etc. They literally said "take shoes off "and "stick your feet in the water". I was offered a drink but only as a side thought. The staff got friendlier as by the end they were chatty and managed a smile. I loved the fish pedicure itself. Its a strange feeling but thoroughly enjoyed it, i was very relaxed by the end, my feet felt very smooth and lovely. The treatment itself was not a let down, those fishies were marvellous! But I would have hope that the staff would have explained more about it and put me at ease in the beginning more.
thank you very much fish spa had such alovely relaxing time, best value for money and you were such a lovely host. Will def recommend you and most def come again.
A lovely experience in a quiet, personal, well thought out out setting. Excellent value for money. Staff were welcoming and made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Will definitely go again and highly recommend this establishment.
Well everything was really good except of effect which was dissapointing , or maybe I expect too much from it.The staff very friendly and value really good.I can recommend to people as to see how is when fish tickle your feet. Maybe I will try one more time and will see ,maybe the skin on my feet was too rough .
What a great little place, this was my first fish pedicure and I wasn't sure what to expect as I had heard some horror stories about the tanks at other salons but the fish here were big, healthy, lively and most importantly hungry! Being given an ipad to play on while they are nibbling away is great even if I couldn't concentrate on it. My Therapist (Billie I think her name was) obviously has a love for doing nails, she is friendly, quick and skill-full and it is nice that the salon has a wide range of OPI polishes to choose from including the most current collections. I can't wait to go back and would even go at full price.
Great location near the Queensway tube station. Very friendly staff, nice fish pedicure treatment and use of the ipad is handy, nice touch. For the price highly recommended. I would definately recommend giving this place a go
This was to be our second fish pedicure, our first was a bad experience however this one was really good, good amount of fish, an ipad was given to us while we relax, nice enviroment and friendly staff too.
We went for 30 minute treatment which i believe is more then enough as after 15 minutes the fish get tired or full.
I would recommend this salon to others and I could not point out anything that was out of place.
I went with a friend and it was an interesting experience, the salon was quite small but modern in decor. There were 4 tanks and each were filled with very eager fish, they seemed to never tire of nibbling at my feet, which was quite freaky at first and I was glad of the Ipads to take my mind off them. I don't think the results were great but as I said it was an interesting experience and somthing to try at least once. I think it's more of a gimmick than a spa treatment.
I went with my friend for a fish pedicure. That was fantastic experience, lasted 45 minutes, was a bit ticklish on the beginning so it made me laugh a lot! I had very good time and my feet felt pretty new afterwards.
The deal was moved to Perfect Feet which was in an odd location in Queensway (under a souvenir shop). The treatment was fun but the fish were super tickly! You also need 3 treatments for it to be effective.
I went here with my sister we were 20 mins late as I had trouble finding the place, the map really doesn't help. But the staff were really nice and still allowed us to do the full 45 minutes.
I would defiantly recommend trying fish pedicure.
I would say that it's nice if you do it with an actual pedicure as well afterwards.
Great place and wonderful staff!!!
I even was taught a bit about the fish!
Salon is below a clothes store on queensway, the staff were really nice and they have 4 fish pedicure stations available. They supply ipads to play on/browse net whilst you are getting your fish pedi which is a nice touch. I would recommend the salon and also go back for a further visit.
For my daughters 18th birthday surprise her and four friends and myself spent a wonderful couple of hours with these amazing little fish. From the start the girls at the St Albans shop really made us feel welcome. We fired many questions at them and they were only too happy to answer. Five teenage girls were stunned into silence as was I as these little fish got to work. It was a strange sensation as the fish got to work but oh my we all agreed it was so relaxing. The girls then all had a pedicure which they all loved and had their toenails painted. We celebrated with birthday cake and a glass of champagne(or two!) which was served up by the lovely ladies at the saloon. A great big thank you to the girls at the saloon they even made sure baby James was`nt left out. My daughter and her friends are already planning their next visit and couldnt stop talking about it. Dont be curious go and try it a well spent afternoon.
The salon is a slightly grotty unit in the covered part of camden market. The open plan space lacks ambience and privacy but is relatively clean. The Fish pedicure is good if very tickely and is very cheap and the staff are pleasent but overall the location rather kills the experience.
I thought the staff were friendly. Did not know what to expect as its the first time I do this but its was good! I would definitely recomdend to my friends and also go again! Overall great expereince! Thanls :)
The staff were very distracted - more concerned with moving furniture than dealing with us, and we were the only people in there. They were very friendly though, and made us feel welcome (eventually) so it was still a pleasant experience even though we had to wander round the centre to find a member of staff when we were ready to leave! Lovely decor though, very smart centre.
This is quite a basic fish pedicure compared to the others that I have seen. Location and the environment of the pedicure is not as nice as others. Experience is great. If you have never had this done before I would definitley recommend it.
the venue is very open, on the edge of the market, which meant that everyone walking by could see! It was a lovely sunny day though so it was nice to have sunshine and fresh air. There wasn't and 'luxury' feel to the venue, but it was clean and funky and fun.
The fish pedicure was fun and different but didn't really make our feet feel much softer. I would recommend this as a fun thing to do, but not if you're actually looking for a decent 'pre holiday' pedicure!!
Good place! It's friendly, intimate and cheerful.
I loved my time with my feet in the water full of busy fish lightly poking their way from all around.
I did appreciate the nice (rather considerate) touch of the ipads which enhanced one totally relaxed experience. Good value for money. I recommend a visit.
beautiful facial and fish pedicure. the fish worked wonders on my hair skin and they are a lot better than they were before. good staff and venue
It was good to try it out or as a top up treatment but if you're buying as a gift i think it would be better to go to a more upmarket venue as it's very basic and just does the job. The lady in there was very nice and informative and the facilities were clean.
a really fun experience. Staff efficient and helpful, fish very hungry and the place was clean! You soon get used to being gawped at by the passing tourists! I will definitely be back again, hopefully with a Wahanda offer!
It is a little strange, the feeling when you put your feet into a fish tank! But it is truly a very pleasant experience as well. I had a 35 minute session and had brought my kindle to read, but in fact I spent the whole time watching these fascinating little fish. At the end of the session my feet did feel softer, but still with some hard pads remaining - so I am not sure how effective the fish are for serious hard skin.
To test them further I returned the next day for another 35 minutes. Again the end result was inconclusive, but I really enjoyed the experience, and would go again.
Loved it! The staff were really friendly and welcoming and helpful. :-)
Also, it was effective. I was apprehensive at first, but will now definitely be going back... I may even make it a bit of a habit! It tickled for the first 20 seconds, but after that, it felt quite pleasant. I would recommend it to anyone.
I have tried fish pedicure before and enjoyed it as a very relaxing time. Also quite effective, since the little fish are amazingly "accurate and thorough" when it comes to feed on the dead cells of your skin.
However, I found Perfect Feet Spa's Garra Rufa fish particularly effective. Were they more hungry? The venue is visited a lot, so that I don't believe it is because they "see" less customers than in other spas.
Is it that they are a particular, more food driven varieties of Garra Rufa? I don't know if such an explanation is plausible either. It's a fact, though, that I had a much better fish pedicure experience at this venue than at the ones I previously visited.
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this lovely little fish spa! Feet were left nice and smooth and loved the ipads
Really clean facilities. I was pleased with my fish pedicure, the staff were very polite and extremely helpful even initially when I had jig my appointment around. I loved my treatment and the therapist was extremely warm and welcoming. I would definitely return for the fantastic value it was also.
The whole experience at this salon was great. Friendly staff and I had a lovely stylist called Sam who did a fab haircut!!! I was a bit apprehensive about the fish pedicure as I'n scared of fish (yes, I know-sad!!), but it was surprisingly good once I got used to the feel of it!! I feel I got a real bargain with this voucher, thanks all.
This was my first experience with a fish pedicure. It was a weird feeling at first, but lots of fun. I went with my friend. The staff were really nice and even gave us a little extra time since there wasn't an appointment immediately following us. Don't think I'd go back, but only because a fish pedicure is not for me - I prefer traditional.
Well I was slightly apprehensive but my girlfriend dragged me along as she didnt want to do it alone. It actually was very good and the place was nicely done out. Ipad are a fantastic idea. We had the 60 minute session which was good with the ipad. Feet were soft after as well
What a nice birthday treat from my mum before shopping. Enjoyed it and the cup of tea was lovely. Overally - relaxing and good result.
I went to have this fish pedicure with my partner, we both enjoyed it, i felt there were more fish in some tanks and less in others. It was nice to have ipads while we had our pedicure. The salon was clean and in a good location, we would both do it again.
The fish pedicure was fantastic, very ticklish at first but i enjoyed it very much.
i will definately go there next time. the offere was great although the place is small it is nice. found it very easy to find the place right next to the station.
I throroughly enhoyed my time at perfect feet. I took my friend for a de-strss day and the fish were really funny sensation but good and effective. Pedicures were good indeed and the products were nice smelling.very pleased
the fish pedicure was so weird but great! It was my first time but will be returning to this venue. thank you perfect feet
Jen took great care in cutting my hair, and the end result was great. All the staff at Natura were friendly and I've already booked a return visit. The fish pedicure was not something I would repeat - but that was because I did not like the fish swarming all over my toes!
A very effective and relaxing pampering session was thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my friend (purchased to celebrate her birthday). We were treated like princesses for a couple of hours, first with a hair cut and followed by a fish pedicure. The staff were lovely, attentive and created a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere in the salon. Very professional service with additional good quality, holistic and individual attention. I would recommend the treatments as a relaxing therapy and would wholly recommend the salon for it's excellent care of their clients.
Loved every minute, a completely unique experience! Will be returning again and again...
I took the kids to the new Fish Spa in St Albans as a treat for half term. WOW the place is fab and beautifully decorated. The kids 7 & 11 both loved it and were made to feel very welcome. My feet feel sooooooooooo smooth lol. Thanks Girls our highlight of half term x
The fish pedicure was my first, and I would have it done again.
The restyle and blow dry were excellent, and the stylist very attentive.
I will book another appointment at this salon, with this stylist.
This was my first fish spa, and although tickly at first I soon got use to it. It was an enjoyable experience and i would do it again. The only reason I did not award 5 stars was you had to share tanks with total strangers. I thought I would have an individual tank. Be prepared to be on show for passers by and questions asked about how it feels. I didn't mind the questions.
Had a lovely time at this clean and well run salon, the staff were friendly and professional and the treatment was great. The fish kind of sucked my dead skin off so it was abit less exfoliation than wanted.
On walking into the building I wasn't sure if I was in the right place but actually when I found the fish spa it was wonderful and I was quite relieved. Went there last night and it was very good and the staff were welcoming. The fish tickles a lot at first but I got used to it. Will be returning
Visited this evening, was really lucky as I called up at the last minute and they managed to squeeze me in for 45 minutes. It was lovely and tickled lots at first but I felt really relaxed after that. The green tea was a nice touch and my feet feel very soft now
Well, I must say that I hate hate fish and was very scared but the staff were so friendly and one person who I think is the manager was really encouraging and she told me how she was scared as well the first time. I liked the comfty waiting area and when I had the pedicure that was so good.
Was a bit apprehensive to try this but the staff were really encouraging and after the first tickle sensation that lasts for a minute or so I really enjoyed it. Feet were definitly left a lot softer and I will go again
I took my mum here as she doesnt have it where she lives. Nice people and good value. The fish did actually make my feet feel so good after!
Paid £22 for the 30 minute fish pedicure on Wahanda - really good value for money, at the other nice venues it is about £40 for this time. Then had a pedicure, top job!
Had a great time. really nice inside and the fish left my feet feeling so soft. after the treatment the therapist applied some nice smelling foot cream which i was delighted with. loved the ipad
This was an interesting experience, i took my friend for her birthday. We were both scared to dip our feet in at first but went for the plung and the fish ate away.
The venue was quite hard to find, it is downstairs and part of a large shop, right beside the station. It's not the most attractive of venues but once your inside it's not so bad.
It was relatively easy to book. I had to cancel once at the last minute and they were fine with it. The guy that answers on the odd occassion should say the name of the place when answering the phone, I almost thought I had the wrong number when calling a few times.
Can't say I noticed a drasic difference, the cremes used afterwards made my feet soft though. I think it would take a few sessions to noticed a major difference.
I only paid £3 for this, and it was worth just that. Not a great location, downstairs from a shabby looking shop. Staff not v friendly.
However, quick service, good experience. Particularly liked having an iPad to play with.
Results were not great, not much differenfe seen in the smoothness of my feet, therefore I would not do this again.
I used my £50 Wahanda voucher that a friend had bought me for my birthday to go to perfect feet. It was really good and the staff were welcoming and gave me a complimentary 15 minute fish trial as it was my birthday. I then had a manicure and pedicure with foot massage, it was fantastic!
Went with my daughter as a treat for her 16th birthday, We both had 15 minutes with the fish and then a pedicure each. ipads kept us entertained, i caught up on eastenders while my daughter was on facebook! i was really pleased and the staff gave us some nice chocolates as it was her birthday. Thanks
Really lovely. Tried the fish pedicure for the 1st time.Lil apprehensive at first but the staff were really encouraging and told me stories about other people and their experiences so that lightened the mood a little.
The fish pedicure was good, however the foot rub was more of a slather of cream on our feet and us rubbing in! Plus the staff weren't very directive, especially considering this was the first time both of us have been for a fish pedicure
Slightly nervous at first as the fish take a few minutes to get use to. After 10mins or so of toe tipping I settled down to enjoy the litte helpers nibble away at my feet. They are very keen and even made their way a little up my ankles (but I dont think my feet are that bad LOL).
I think everyone should try this treatment at least once, it's totally different and quite enjoyable. If I am totally honest I dont think the treatment is worth more than £8 to £10 - I wouldnt pay more but am definately going again.
It was great experience - feet felt great, was funny at first but relaxing a minute later. Feet was clean, smoother and soft. The venue was convenient and the staff were very friendly, and there was an IPAD to use whilst having the treatment. It's worth a try if you haven't done it before.
It was funny expierience. Something I've never done in my life before. Staff was really helpful and professional, and treatment itself I rate as satisfactory. I would come back to Perfect Feet Fish Spa in the future as it was good value for money.
I would receommen this to my friends but I would warn them about were it was situated . I loved the idea they offered you a tea - would like to know how they keep tank clean
Went here with my girlfriend before going onto the theatre on saturday late afternoon/evening. It was her birthday and we both had the fish pedicure then she had the foot massage and pedicure. Really nice place and my girlfriend said the pedicure was one of the best she has had. Will be returning
Nice atmosphere in the salon with low lighting and nice comfy sofa chairs while you're waiting to put your feet in the tank! Really liked the added bonus of being offered ipads to play with while having the fish pedicure treatment - nice touch.
The place was well run and efficient compared to some of the other places I've been to and the staff very friendly. Good value for money with the voucher.
Venue was in the back of a market-type mini mall, more reminiscent of travelling abroad. Somewhat shabby. Staff were friendly and helpful, but facilities not great and didn't see a significant result.
Great 1st time at fish pedicure.... they really do have an ipad for you to play with whilst having your treatment, great, polite staff also on hand, location is very easy to find next to queensway station, will def go again
The salon is based amidst a boutique of outlets downstairs from a larger shop. Saying that it was surprisingly calm and the decor modern helping to create a nice atmosphere. There was only 1 therapist who was busy finishing other pedicures and did not take any time to run through the fish pedicure treatment (having never had one before, this would have been appreciated and reassuring). Once seated and used to the weird sensation I happily read a magazine and had a relaxing experience with only the salon music (Michael Buble live) and murmurs of fellow fish pedicure clients in the background.
When the time was up, a man (I had no idea who he was, he came out of nowhere with a baseball cap on??!) said nothing but dried my feet and quickly applied some moisturiser - I thought there would have been more attention to this part of the treatment, at least a better rubbing-in technique.
After reading all the hype about fish pedicures I expected my feet to be overly soft, however my heels were still a little rough which was disappointing. Overall a slightly bizarre experience that I am happy I only paid £8 for.
Went with my sister had so much fun absolutely loved it and the guy was lovely too. Instead of having the treatment for 30 minutes we received it for 45 minutes. Would definitely go back.
I am currently at this place again for the 3rd time. Just had a facial which was amazing, the therapist really knows her stuff! Now I am enjoying a pedicure while I am reading the Daily Mail on the ipad. I love it here xxxx
I booked on a Sat for 6.45pm. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and two tanks were spare so was seen straight away. I was given an iPad to use during my 30min spa which I found impressive but had to switch tanks after 3mins as the fish did not seem interested in my feet. The same thing happened in the other tank, only a handful of fish would come up to my feet, nibble for less than 10secs & then swim away. The therapist put it down to not having enough dead skin on my feet but it's was not the case at all. I think for you to get the real effect of the fish, it maybe good to book as early in the day as possible, as the fish will be hungry as opposed to full in the evening. I cannot complain as I got it on a Mob deal for £8 but would not pay £45 to get this done.
As long as you expect the place to smell like fish then you wont be surprised. The place is ok the fish pedicure is bizarre but if you've done it before then it's fine. they do give you ipads to use while you wait but the 3g reception isn't great so don't expect to use the internet! The toilets are also down the hall and not very nice but at least it flushes! We both also had a deluxe pedicure which was really good but the beautician was not friendly, didn't try to talk to me, and did not smile. Also when i asked the beautician where the toilets were she looked at me like it was such an inconvenience. For the price we paid i think it was good and the pedicures were good just don't expect friendly people!
This was the first time I have ever had a fish pedicure and I can't fault it - it's fun, innovative and definitely worth a try. I wouldn't say that this is a place to feel pampered if that is what you're after, though - it's more of a 'fish tank' kind of place, as it's literally just a number of tanks to put your feet in and wooden seats to sit on. It's also a 'fish tank' kind of place for another reason: its location in Camden Lock means that you may well get a number of tourists etc peeping in (there's no door as such) and even coming up to you to ask what it's like, so you feel a bit like you're on display.
The staff consisted of just one woman who was friendly enough and did check you in properly (she gives you a towel to wipe your feet both before and after dipping in), although as this is not a spa place by any means she isn't like a therapist and so is more like an 'invigilator'.
As for the treatment itself, it's ticklish, yes, although not unbearably so. It's quite nice! It's like light vibrations where the fish are. As for smooth feet afterwards, though, I didn't really notice a difference. However, the woman there did say it depends on the individual....
So, in summary, worth a try if you don't mind feeling a little like you're on display in a low-key sort of place. It's fun, although don't expect miracles.
wouldnt recommend! They messed up our appointment so weren't even open when we had trekked across London especially. Salon ok but in very gritty surroundings. I was scared to actually submerge my feet into the fish and staff weren't very encouraging, rude actually. Would not return to this salon.
A little busy and one needs to make sure you phone a few weeks before you want the treatment. Other than that I once again loved the fishes and the lovely soft feel on my feet afterwards.
Really enjoyed my fish pedicure and foot massage at Asase spa. Friendly staff, free nibbles and tea, and the fish....well it was a lot of fun, quite tickly but not overly and quite fascinating watching them dart about in anticipation when a new set of feet dangled above them!!
Well, apart from the fact that the fish pedicure is a very weird experience as 50 hungry fish almost jump off the water just at the sight of skin, the place, in a corner of a basement was definitely a disappointment. The manager, or the person who was supposed to welcome us, could not even be bothered to smile and was busy doing whatever and the therapist had no voice (litterally). The feet came out the same way they came in, no baby skin there, and it was not only from my feet but my God-daughter who is 15 did not see any difference afterwards.
So, firstly the fish pedicure is not an experience I will go through again but also I strongly advise to pick a less depressing venue if one wants to try...
Lat Sunday I went to the Perfect Feet Fish Spa & Beauty to have a fish pedicure+OPI deluxe pedicure and a facial. The salon is small, but really clean and cosy. The fish pedicure was extremely funny, but I enjoyed especially the pedicure and facial: 5 star treatments! I am extremely pleased, I spent 3 very relaxing hours and now I have a glowing skin and really nice feet! 100% recommended because prices are great and quality of treatment is excellent!!!
What an amazing place, Perfect Feet-Perfect Saolon, Perfect Treatments.
Me and My Friend had a 2 hour pamper package at Perfect Feet, we had the most Luxurious facial with Guinot Products, and our Pedicures were treated with OPI products
cant wait to go back very soon.
Highly Recommended, classy, luxurious salon.
Took my friends to perfect feet in bayswater, what an amazing find. The actual shopping arcade could do with some modernising, But perfect feet's shop was absolutely amazing, was so beautiful and decor was very very classy and you had the feel that there was no expense spared. The Staff were amazing and well eductaed and knoledgeable about the treatments me and my friends really enjoyed, we were given a extensive choice of fine chinese complimentary Tea's, Free internet and iPADS to use throughout our duration at the salon. We have visited Aqua Sheko and Anesis fish spa but Perfect Feet is by far the best and number 1 salon in london. they have so much on offer after our fish treatments we all had OPI nail treatments, Cant wait to go back.
Thanks for a beautiful hen party Perfect Feet.
x
Lovely venue, lovely staff - couldn't have asked for more! Very relaxing room where we had the pedicure and private booths available for groups/special occaisons. I would most definately return to this venue.
I went to Zoola Fish during the week and found the experience very relaxing after a hard day of work.
Very clean place, the water is filtered regularly.
The staff was very friendly.
To call this a spa is misleading, it is a stall within the Market. I felt as I was not the only fish in a glass bowl, as this seemed to be part of the local sightseeing tour with lots of people wandering around looking in and taking photos. The man running the stall spent a lot talking to friends.
There weren't alot of fish in my tank and I'm sure there was at least one dead fish in the bottom. It was ok for the money it cost, and an interesting experience that I'd like to try again....but in a better environment. I also did not receive the addtitional foot salts as the offer stated.
I would highly recommend this salon if you want to relax in a calming environment the staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The Fish pedicure was amazing and the prices are very reasonable.10/10 :)
OMG thirty words are not needed as one will do...RUBBISH
It was very cheap, true but I wouldnt go again if it were free.
We arrived and the 'therapist' didnt even lift her eyes from the laptop to say 'sit down'. There was absolutely no interaction and the spa was so clinical, it was not ambient for the fish pedicure. The seating above the tanks was on a slant so balancing was the key thought! So into the tank, no dialogue, no nothing. Fortunately, I have this treatment regularly so was able to explain this to my friend who was having it for the first time. At the end, it was heres a towel and theres moisturiser over there! Never again.
The treatment itself was OK although didnt seem as comfortable, more a pins and needles sensation than the nibbling Ive experienced before but maybe thats about setting more than the fish. Im so glad my first experience was Aqua sheko as had this been it I would not repeat it. My friend says shes off fish pedicures for life! Maybe as a party or something theyre more interested but we didnt even get a goodbye! ps no complimentary ipads as billed either
A really fun experience. Staff efficient and helpful, fish very hungry and the place was clean! You soon get used to being gawped at by the passing tourists! I will definitely be back again, hopefully with a Wahanda offer!
Purchased this as a birthday treat to myself. Went with my partner who had a 30min Piscean pedicure and I received the Deluxe treatment. We both enjoyed it, although at first the fish nibbling away at our feet felt rather weird (like pins and needles) - more so when you actually look down into the tank at them! My partner actually enjoyed the experience and said that he would do it again. I really enjoyed myself and received a glass of bubbly, a foot massage and nail polish as part of the deal. Feet felt super soft and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. I would definately recommend and will be visiting again :)
I visted Lyttle Minx salon adn i was really impressed, i felt really comfertable and relaxed as the staff and clients in there was very welcoming and friendly.
I had a really good experience at Lyttle Minx and my treatment lasted for weeks on end (pedicure and manicure) fish was also great my feet was so soft after. Also i must say this is the best salon for polishes, it lasted ages and theire brands they use were the likes of Chanel, Dior Essie OPI CND ect.. good qaulity counts!
My sister booked this treatment for us both & we were very impressed by the staff's knowledge of the product. Before accepting the booking the salon went through checks on our health and if we had any cuts or skin conditions affecting our feet. When we attended our joint appointment our feet were cleansed before dipping them into the tank with the fish- I was very apprehensive but the staff reassured me and afterwards my feet felt smooth & fabulous.
My sister & I would certainly use this salon again for any future treatments.
Hi went to the new fish spa that had opened up in town with a group of girls as a suprise 30th birthday present for my friend. It was so relaxing and the first time i had the treatment. Loved it after being a bit nervous at first and had a glass of champagne as well. A great start to the birthday day which certainly carried on late into the night lol
Upon walking into Feet Retreat, I felt at home, decor was perfect, lot of little touches added to make it homely. The lady who co-owned the shop made you feel very welcome, she knew her job very well. She made you feel so at home, like you didn;t want to leave, if we had any questions to ask about the Garra fish, she had knowledgable answers. I would reccomend Feet Retreat to anyone who wants a peaceful, private and made to feel at home fish pedicure. We do have other fish pedicure places to compare to Feet Retreat and this one is at the top of our list. They also cater for people with disabilites, no-one is left out. Thankyou Feet Retreat for making us feel at home, will definetly be back. Well Reccommended.
After enjoying my first visit so much I could not help myself but go back for more. This time I brought a friend with me to experience the sensation of the fish therapy. This time the staff seemed a lot more friendly than previously and our therapist was very good.
I went along not knowing what to expect and had a fantastic time. The fish theoropy was very professionall done and a very enjoyable experience. I would definatley recommend anyone to get it done and would have no problems coming back to this venue to have any more treatments in the future.
Turned up to find that it was not a shop but a stall in a market hall. At least it wasn't out in the open air.
The water was quite cold, and the fishes were large but not very hungry, so only a few actually came forward when I put my feet in. I've had this done somewhere before, and there the fish were much smaller and more of them in one pedicure tank, and were much more eager/hungry.
It did feel like I was just soaking my feet for 30 minutes. Not a very relaxing atmosphere either, being gawked at by passer bys all the time. It didn't look like a very professional setup, but I was told I had to book, and when I tried to rearrange the appointment I was told that time was taken, although in fact when I was there, it wasn't full at all.
My Wahander voucher was for the 30 minutes pedicure plus free orba foot salts, but I wasn't given this at the end, and they didn't even seem to have read my voucher when I handed it over. The full price was over 30GBP, but I got it for over 3GBP. Not worth it for a long feet soak! Go somewhere else!
My daughter found Meridian Osteopathic Clinic by using an internet search for fish pedicure. We were both curious to try the fish pedicure and took advantage of the offer, £20 for two. We were a little late in arriving, having phoned to say that we'd been delayed but the staff were understanding and welcoming when we arrived. We filled the short questionaire out, then were shown into the room where the tanks were. First we were given little bowls of warm water to wash our feet in before stepping up onto the bench above the tanks. There was a cushion to rest back against while our feet dangled in the water. Music played softly in the background and we were left alone for 30 mins while we relaxed and enjoyed the treatment the fish were giving us. At the end of the time, the staff/owners both came to see us and have a little chat, which was very nice. Then we were told about other treatment offers and given a reward card which would be stamped again whenever we had further treatments. My daughter and I talked on the way home about our experience and agreed that it had been most enjoyable, although we might seek a clinic closer to home next time. Overall I would say, it was my first fish pedicure and anyone feeling a bit apprehensive need not because the fish are gentle and leave your feet feeling soft and clean.
A weird, but amusing experience, and one I would repeat! The Camden Market venue is very much no frills, it is essentially a shed with the fish tanks arranged around the room in four groups of four. There are benches above the tanks. A neighbouring stall had some heavy music going, so this was no relaxing spa experience. You also have to get used to ending up being a bit of a tourist attraction for passers-by! After a cursory foot check for verrucas or other uglies, the friendly staff member gives you a damp cloth to wipe your feet and then you stick 'em in the tank! After the initial "eeeeeeeeek!" feeling, you quickly get used to the sensation - a light, but not unbearable tickling, a bit like the light setting on a footspa bath. I brought a book, but it is actually rather fun to watch the fish at work! They go in all sorts of places, including up your ankles and between your toes. I had very gnarly feet, and after my timed half an hour, although my feet weren't pristine, they were improved. You are given a towel to wipe dry, but you need to bring your own foot cream. I enjoyed watching and encouraging the squeamy customers who had their feet hovering above the tanks while the fish below were being teased into a frenzy - it looks like the movie Pirahna, but don't worry, these fish have no teeth - what fun!
The salon was a little bit of a challenge to find but the manager (male) was very friendly and accommodationg. The salon itself was located in a peculiar place and was very small but clean.
Overall the treatment was good but for me personally I think an hore is far too long and after about 25 minutes I found the sensation almost unbearable and for the remaining time I rested my feet on the edge of the tank with just my heels dipped into the tank for the fish to work on. An ipad was supplied to keep customers entertained and although I tried hard to focus my concentration on that, I found that it just wasnt possible and ended up gripping onto the ipad for dear life in order to focus. Don't get me wrong, the fish pedicure does not hurt in any way whatsoever. It's just that after 25 minutes I found the sensation way too ticklish and uncomfortable. I think this offer could have been better if it had been offered as 'two 30 minute sessions' rather than the full hour. I have had a fish pedicure for 30 minutes in the past and found it very relaxing and just as effective if not more because I was able to immerse my feet fully into the tank without feeling uncomfortable.
After the hour was over the manager (male) dried my feet with a clean towel and applied moisturiser too.
If this had been a half hour tretment I would have scored this experience 5 stars.
A very enjoyable and relaxed experiance. I would definatly visit again. The enviroment is very clean and comfortable. It has a very warm and welcoming owner . Also provides a great cup of tea!
The spa is in a very small corner of the stable and so is in a really public space. This means that spectators will watch as you are treated. I imagine this is to attract more people to try it out and it worked even whilst I was there but it's maybe not for you if you don't enjoy being watched. The sensation of the fish is really strange at first but once you get used to it it's fine. The staff were really pleasant and not too pushy.
I went midweek to Orba and it was very quiet but several passers by who decided to opt for the pedicure so some passing trade. I beleive the place is probably really busy on the w/e because of its location. Not sure about the hygiene but the pedicure was fine as my feet were smoother and the gentleman manning it was very pleasant . Good value for money but didnt get my free salts.
It was my first trip to Zoola fish, and I was surprised to see it wasn't that big a place, at least the one in Camden Lock village, wasn't, but there were plenty of fish tanks available, and although it was a walk in only service I didn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes, considering it was a sunny Friday afternoon in Camden. The staff were friendly and knowledgable although just to be clear the treatment was only for the fish pedicure there is no massage or foot rub afterwards like some offers you get. But I enjoyed it and found it really good value for money, especially with teh half price voucher. I would definitely go again.
Went for a fish pedicure and I found the experience very weird at first took a while to put my feet in but was fine once I got them in. I would definately recommend the exerience.
Didn't expect this place to be a stall in Camden Town market which didn't make me feel that confident with the hygiene or make it like a luxuary experience as I thought it would be. Had to wait a while with my friend since the queue was quite long. The pedeicure itself was fun and enjoyable but I didn't see the tank of water get cleared out although there are water filters so I assumed it'd be ok and hygienic. In the end my feet were so soft! and you can see the difference after so overall happy but the atmosphere could've been nicer.
The staff at Anesis Spa were friendly and attentive and made sure that my mum and I had everything we needed. I bought the fish pedicure for myself and my mum as a mothers day gift, and although we went to the spa a week later, it was really worth the wait.
Went along for this fish pedicure on my own as I couldn't find anyone who wanted to try it. Everyone I asked said urgh! fish eating my feet - no way!!
But it was brilliant - just a bit ticklish when the fish first started but I got used to them quite quickly and thoroughly enjoyed my 30 minutes of relaxation! I am definitely going to have this pedicure again. I didn't feel the little fish 'working' and at first when I took my feet out thought it was a waste of time. But it has been 3 weeks now and my feet still look and feel good!
So evryone out there please do go and try the garra fish pedicure! It is wonderful
Valerie
Having seen a few adverts around for fish pedicures, my boyfriend and I were intrigued and decided to give it a try when we saw the £8 for 30 minute deal on Wahanda.
The Orba Garra Spa is nothing more than a unit within a covered market in Camden with about 10 tanks of fish. When we got there, it was quite busy with about 6 people having the treatment. We were given a cloth to clean our feet before starting the pedicure.
We were a bit apprehensive. The fish are quite small and there were quite a lot of them in each tank. As soon as we put our feet in, the fish swin to your feet and start feeding on the hard skin. It was a very ticklish and weird feeling that my boyfriend and I found ourselves crying with laughter. It took a while to get used to the sensation before it became quite plesant.
The spa is open and passers-by stopped and watched us having our treatment, occasionally asking us how it felt and why we were doing it. If you don't like being on show, I would suggest finding an alternative spa but we didn't not find it too bad.
Following the 30 minute treatment our feet felt softer but I could not decide if this was due to the fish or because we had been soaking our feet in water for the past half an hour. Once our feet had dried, I could not really notice much difference. Perhaps longer and repeated trips would be require to notice a real difference in the condition of my feet.
I would recommend the fish pedicure as an experience but I am not sure it really works to get rid of the hard skin. The normal price for the treatment is £1 a minute - I would not be willing to pay that much for it.
Fish pedicure was a fun and novel experience. Didn't seem to make mch difference to my feet, but was still very enjoyable to do. Staff were lovely and very helpful, though the premises were nothing special, being just in a marketplace.
Hi there, I had fun with this, but it was not a premium experience by any stretch of the imagination. If I hadn't had read the user reviews beforehand I would have been pretty disappointed at how shabby the set up was, in terms of the little stall set up in the middle of Camden Market Hall calling itself a spa. The best thing about it as a first time, highly curious lass who's wanted to try out a fish pedicure, was the novelty of getting to do it at a complete bargain price ( thank you wahanda!) and how friendly the staff were. The pedi was okay, my feet to be fair are in pretty good shape. The fish super ticklish but they're constantly being fed so naturally some of them won't be so hungry. But they can't overload the tanks as that would be unfair to the fish. So don't expect a massive rush to your feet sustained for the whole experience! Everyone who's around you is pretty friendly. The public will be intrigued too, so don't do it if you are the shy sort. My friend paid £1 a minute, not sure if this is the going rate at other places? I was pleased with my bargain price and I was given a pot of hand cream as they'd run out of the foot salts. I was happy with that. But it was not a luxury experience, so if you go along, expect something cheap and cheerful and you won't be disappointed.
Very funny experience, staff friendly and place very clean. A good novelty present for a friend. Came away feeling really relaxed and happy. Once you get over the initial weird sensasation its actually quite a peaceful experience. Everyone has to try one, Would reccomend.
was a good atmosphere, very clean , staff were very friendly, enjoyed the fish, and my daughter loved getting her toes done after, the place is small but nice and the price was very good, would go again.
Interesting experience. Very tickly as the fish make a bee-line for your feet! Its situated in a rather grotty arcade and you are on full view of all passrs-by who like to stop and gawp.
Service very perfunctory, and the amount of foot cream you are given to rub in was miserly. I also didnt get the 'bath salts' that apparently were part of the deal!
Worth a go for the experience, but might be nicer in a different venue
The premises is a stall in the middle of the market - fine as long as you don't mind being watched by passers by. Other fish pedicure outfits I have been to had much more fish per tank, some tanks had very few fish. But I was treated well and enjoyed the experience.
We had a wonderful evening at fish retreat. On arrival we were welcomed and offered a glass of bubbly. Then we relaxed with our fish pedicure which was a great sensation and we all came out with wonderfully soft feet.
My friend took me here for my birthday and how pleased I am that she did. I was treated to an amazing extraction facial that was so thorough and the products used were beautiful. Then had a fish pedicure with a lovely cup of tea while I played on an ipad. Perfect day and perfect present.
It was absolutely beautiful, really enjoyed it, it was relaxing and a very good experience. Its was a very good deal. We went as a group it was easy to get to the location was really good.
I took my mum as a mother's day treat/experience. The actual fish pedicure, when you get over the initial 'EUW' feeling is weirdly comforting and the results are great. We thought it interesting that tons of fish flock around the ladies feet, but I was sat next to a guy and he had hardly any fish nibbling. I'm guessing it's down to us ladies exposing our feet more? My feet did feel smooth for a couple of weeks, so for the benefits I would do it again (as long as I got the £9 deal with Wahanda, I wouldn't pay full price).
However, at the venue you are very exposed. In fact you feel like you're in a window display except there are no windows. Plus Camden is full of tourists on a Saturday (when we went) and I think some people thought we were the entertainment - people stopped to take pictures and ask us questions about what it was like etc. I guess it didn't help that we were at the very front.
A little more privacy, somewhere to put your shoes and maybe some foot cream to apply afterwards would all improve the experience.
It suprised me that the spa was in open space of Camden Town Hall where everyone could see what was going on. I expected to be more private but it worked and in the end I did not feel uncortable but liked the interaction with other people. I loved my feet being smooth afterwards and the whole experience felt relaxed.
Was expecting the fish pedicure place to be set in a more relaxing environment and not as a stall tucked away in Camden Indoor Market! Having said this though, the actual treatment was enjoyable and very good value for the price paid. The free gift of foot salts to take home was an added nice touch.
Worth it! The staff was very nice and accommodating. There were leather chairs to sit on and you weren given an ipad to play with while you got your treatment. After wards they massaged lotion into our feet and gave un cloth slippers to wear until the lotion was dry.
I loved it but my wife went all girly... I thought the whole experience was handled well. Though I felt a bit sorry for the young woman running it all on her tod. R
This was my third Fish Pedicure experience but my first at Fish Retreat Salon. The staff were welcoming, very friendly and professional. Salon appeared clean with stylish decor. I brought my 17 year old nephew with me who enjoyed the experience. I would recommend this salon and treatment.
Visited the Bliss Fish Spa on Saturday with my sister and niece. What an experience - the owner/manager Angie is so friendly and made our experience really fun. The actual treatment is very unique - the squeamish might not want to look down when the ruffa are doing their work - however it feels quite nice - like little bubbles, or a jacuzzi on your feet - or a powerful shower head. My feet were much smoother afterwards - the little fish definitely do a good job.
Two of our party also indulged in the 21 day manicure which is fab. I can't wait to try the Ruffa treatment again when Angie opens up her next salon in the London Bridge area.
I love fish pedicures. I have had others at different venues but this place was very nice too, very relaxing. And i got it for an excellent value. Really enjoyed it, would definitely go again and revisit. Thankyou Wahanda and Zoola Fish
I bought this treatment for my husband and I and we went to the salon yesterday morning. When we arrived we were told that the therapist who does the treatment had left abruptly this week so we couldn't have the treatment. I asked for a refund and we were given the therapists mobile number but I have been unable to get hold of her. We were also informed by the receptionist that we were not the first people to come for an appointment that did not go ahead.
There had been alot of talk about the new spa in the town ,so after a long day shopping with my partner i though what a great way to end the day !! The salon is beautiful the girls are all lovely and welcoming and the fish pedicure was amazing ! i would definatley return and would reccommend to others to try it its fun!!!
Had seen other places where there have been fish pedicures , so was not surprised to find it in a market, The staff were very helpful, eplained what would happen. My daughter was laughing so much at the strange sensation of the fish biting, and it was a very good atmosphere, with other people laughing and talking, would recommend it as something to do on a Saturday afternoon, but as they are busy it is best to book an appointment.
Unfortunately the fish pedicure has given me a rash on my foot which started to appear a week later - clearly the tanks are not keep to a good hygene standard. Do not be fooled by the pictures given on the website - it is completely the opposite when you walk in. It's in the middle of a market place! To be quite frank the money spent on it was more than it was worth!
FABULOUS; felt weird to begin with but very effective
Felt really sorry for the fish though! The venue was great and the staff were extremely informative too! The tourists all had a great time taking pictures of us; you must try it even once! ENJOY
I went to perfect feet for a fish pedicure initially but was tempted to also have a mini pedicure and foot massage once i was there, and so pleased I did. The therapist was brilliant and i loved the ipad - the time flew by. I've alrady booked my next appointment in
This was my first time here and found it to be very good. I will certainly be back for another treatment very soon. The staff were all very nice and helpful.
Had my 19th birthday party at this fab new spa that has opened in St Albans 10 of us went along and had exclusive us of the Spa. The girls couldnt have been more helpful. After a complimetary glass of champagne we then had a 15 minute foot pedicure which was fab. I had been to one previously but this was a more chilled surrounding. We then had our feet massaged and Minx toenails applied. We then went out on the town everyone agreed it was great experience.
had a amazing time at perfect feet, me and my friends went and really enjoyed,2 of us had fish pedicures, foot rub,and manicure and 2 other friends had facial and a arometherapy massage top marks for all treatments and have booked a princess party there for my kids
This is a small salon on the outskirts of Harrogate. The therapist was really helpful, explained how everything worked (it was my first fish pedicure) and stayed close by in case there were any problems. İt was a lovely treatment and very effective. Highly recommended!
Good value for money. I had a 45 min fish pedicure and a 15 min foot massage for £33 which is very good. The salon is quite small but clean and well equipped (with Ipads!). The therapist who did my foot massage was very efficient and focussed. Overall, I enjoyed this first visit but I would not go there for other treatments because there is no 'pampering' or 'relaxing' feeling about the spa. But it's great for a fish pedicure or a manicure as the price is more than acceptable.
I'd recommend this experience - doesn't take long and is informal and enjoyable. I didn't want a formal environment with therapists pulling my feet about but was shocked on arrival at how open this establishment was. Its basically a stall in the market which is very open to passers by and you just take your shoes off, have a quick rub with a hot towel to clean your feet and sit on benchlike seats with large tubs of fish in front of you. These tubs were larger and had more fish in each one than what I have seen local to where I live. A young man who was manning the stall was extremely knowledgeable and made you feel very comfortable. The water is filtered and I haven't suffered from any disease/loss of limb following this procedure!
You do become a bit of a spectacle with people watching as they pass and asking what it felt like. I couldn't have answered when my feet first went in as once the fish get sucking passers by are momentarily forgotten as its such a strange tickling sensation for the first few minutes! When we arrived there was no-one at the stall but 6 people approached and used whilst we were there and this took the emphasis of watching us which we preferred - probably unlucky it was only us when we first arrived.
My feet were improved and fetl much softer after this experience but I would recommend that you take foot lotion with you to moisturise your feet after the experience.
Amazing feeling... At first it's really scary but once u put ur feet straight in u get a weird sensation which really tickles as the fish surround you... After a while u get use to it and carry on.... I would def recommend it...
This place is really cool - it is stylishly decorated and feels very modern and clean (very important) - this was my first fish pedicure and i have to say it was great fun and felt very nice
It was an excellent experience to carry out with family, a good day out. The treatment was good fun and my feet did feel much softer afterwards too! I would recommend it. It was a tickle feeling but fun.
My mother also enjoyed the experience a nice mothers day present. I would consider doing it again.
The fish nibbling at your feet is ticklish but relaxing. At first the Therapist hands you a sanitised towel and you wipe your feet, you then immerse your feet in the tank. Once the time is up you are given some foot cream to rub in. No one was available to give me a foot massage so I was given a pot of foot cream to take home with me.
This was my first fish pedicure and it was great!! Tickled loads but once you get passed that it's great!!! I'm looking to do this more regularly now!! Can't wait for the next one!!
A fun way to spend some down time with a friend as long as you don't expect too much. Facilities are basic, it is located in a Market Hall so wear clothes easily and discreetly removable as you are on view to everyone, although there is a curtain you can hide behind. It IS worth the £8.00, everybody there had a smile on their face, but I wouldn't pay much more.
The pedicure was in a marketplace which put us off as it was not cosy and didnt have any personal space...very busy and rushed...and you dont feel relaxed....not many fish in the tank at all and didnt get the result which you would expect from a decent fish pedicure...gues for the price we paid was worth the punt...
Had wanted to do this treatment for a while and after telling a friend they treated me for a birthday present! Loved the treatment, was relaxing especially with the glass of champagne! Loved the after affect my feet were smooth and smelled great too (peppermint moisturiser) only down side is they separated me and my friend so instead of been sitted together we were sat with a wall between us!
It was a lot of fun sitting in the corner of the market and we must have been in a lot of peoples photo's too!!! We were warned to start with that the fish had slowed down a bit, so that is the only reason for the lower score - I think these fish are fantastic!!!! Recommend it to anyone
Purchased 2 vouchers for me and my mum. We went together and had a great time. We got there quite early so didn't have to wait, we were able to dip our feet in the tanks straightaway. A great experience, and lots of fun. My feet felt really soft after.
I went to Orb Fish with a friend. First the venue is within a market so not very personal - you get loads of tourists wanting to take pictures - yes pictures of your feet with the fishies!!! We didn't mind but the lady before us had a random stranger ask if she could touch her feet to see if the treatment works! Anyhow the seats are extremely uncomfortable :( They are made out of tin can and you can't really relax or get your feet in deep enough into the tank especially if you have short leg and considering that you are sat there for 30 minutes they really need to rethink this. We weren't very impressed with the staff fixing a tank whilst we were having our treatment either. This was because they were drilling away which again detracted from our experience. They did however stop doing this when we asked. As for the fish - well mine were certainly full from their last customer so didn't nibble as much but overall I guess it was an ok treatment.
Staff were so busy I didn't really feel attended too, also it's not a 'spa' it's a stall in an indoor market where you're surrounded by noise and nosy-photo-taking tourists. I'm pretty sure the fish weren't very hungry either, one got the impression they had all they could eat feet as it was very busy! The staff were doing their best, but it was all a bit bargain basement, which isn't really what 'orba spa' is meant to suggest surely?
My friend and I had a lot of fun getting our feet nibbled by tiny little fish. At first it felt a little strange however once we got into it it was fine. the staff were helpful and willing to help. we would both do this again if the deal came back around.Oh I forgot to say the venue was easy to find, well kept and clean.
Really liked this salon, easy to find although parking was a bit of a nightmare. really lovely staff who knew lots about the fish and the treatment. nice massage after the fish pedicure with a peppermint lotion. nice place would definately recommened to friends and family. Will be returning!
The Salon was lovely and staff very welcoming, she kept on checking that i was ok throughout the half hour. I hadnt had the pedicure before so found it very tickly but soon got used to it. my feet havent felt much different to be honest but it was an experience and for £10 defo worth it for something different. ( i dont think i would pay the full £25 for it though. If i did it again i would defo bring a friend so you can chat otherwise i would recommend bringing some mags/books to read.
The fish pedicure feels like bubbles on your feet. Afterwards had a foot massage with some peppermint lotion which smelled lovely. My feet were incredibly soft afterwards and the experience was relaxing. The staff were also very friendly. With the mob deal this was excellent value for money. I will definately be going back and would highly recommend this!
Very good location and was quite easy to fince with all the shop that the stables have, The place was Very clean and so were the tanks the staff was friendly and very helpfull, would recommend.
This place was really hard to find as it's situated in the middle of Stables Market and frustratingly wasn't opened when I went there despite the website saying it was open at 11am.
That aside, the fish pedicure itself was ok - tickly at first but left my feet smooth afterwards. The shop was tiny just 2 glass cubicles but the guy manning the stall friendly. As you're there for half an hour it's definitely worth bringing a friend!
We arrived at about 10:30 am so it was quite quiet which was nice. There are four tanks with four compartments to put your feet in. When you first put your feet in the water the fishes latch on straight away but it just feels like little vibrations on your feet, legs and toes but it is really funny! Your feet feel really smooth afterwards but i'd say its more for the sensation of the fish on your feet and legs rather than the after affect. I would recommend this with your girlfriends as part of a day out.
The person in charge of the fish tanks was very nice and friendly,he gave me a towel to rinse my feet before putting them in the water. The sensation of fish feeding from my feet was very ticklish to start with but it became extremely relaxing after the first 5 minutes. The fish pedicure tanks are located in front of the market and open to it. tourist passing by were taking pictures and found it fascinating! it was a fan experience and would raccomend it to all my friends!
Excellent. Amazing, novel experience - would go again! Location is fantastic and the staff are keen to reassure and explain. First rate, the experience tickles at first but you soon get used to it and it is enjoyable.
A fish pedicure is certainly an experience I would recommend! I went with a friend and due to the location (Stables Market, Camden) we were able to include the pedicure as part of a fun day out in Camden. At first, we were surprised at the venue - it was an open front room in the middle of the market, which meant that you were not to 'enjoy' your pedicure alone, but be observed by the amused audience of spectators that happened to be walking past! I think my friend was expecting a more upmarket location, however, for the price I would say we got out money's worth. It was a real giggle, at first it is a little nerve wracking but once you get used to it, it's quite pleasant and feels a little tickly and like millions of tiny vibrations. It doesn't hurt at all for those who are wondering! My feet also felt lovely and smooth afterwards.
Good value for a quirky treatment that you only need to try once in your life. I didn't notice any difference to my feet afterwards despite being there for half an hour and it's a bit weird having people walking past and stopping to look but definitely worth a try for the novelty factor. A fun thing to do with a friend.
We walked into the facillity and it took a while for the girl to acknowledge us. It wasnt very clear on what we were to do, ie with drying our feet etc. She could have briefed us a bit better.
The salon was very quiet with not many people talking. I felt that my friend and i broke the ice within the majority of the salon. The actual fish experience was very ticklish! there was a bit of screaming on my behalf! Inititally, the fish are very excited when you dip your foot in, but if you manage to get through the tickeling and keep still it does get better.
It was a fab day and we had such fun. I would definitnly recommend this for someone wanting to try something different!
loved this salon in bayswater, amazing find. each treatment is tailored to the customer which is so good.
bought a full treatment package and loved the results treatments are at a very high standard, fun, friendly, polite staff.
This place is amazing and I am so pleased I found it. Booked myself in for a fish pedicure followed by a full pedicure to get my feet gleaming for my summer sandals. The beautician doing my pedicure was so good and I will definitely be returning every 2 weeks through the summer to keep my feet looking good. Thanks perfect Feet!
The overall experience was really fun. I went with a friend and we'd never had a fish pedicure before. It was definitely entertaining, but I wouldn't say my feet were really 'pedicured'. The woman who helped us was really very nice and accomodating. She let us spend an extra bit of time with the fish since no one had an appointment straight after us.
wanted a fish pedicure as a surprise for my daughters 21st, couldnt get a booking at first , but i was phoned back with an appointment and a complimentry foot manicure for my daughter, the place was smaller than i thought, but that was nice as it made it more personal , my daughter loved the fish pedicure and getting her toes down , and the ipad was a good idea, it was very clean and the two people that were looking after us were lovely, i would go again next time im in london
This was my first time getting a fish pedicure and at first I was rather squeamish. The treatment did get rid of some of the hard skin on my feet but I think that a 30 minute treatment would be more effective. The place was nice and clean and they wash your feet before you enter and leave the tank. Overall it was a good offer however the voucher stated that you get a glass of champagne with the fish pedicure. As I dont drink champagne this was not a problem however I think if you are advertising this on the wahanda vouchers then It should be offered to all customers. However overall It was a good experience and the staff were friendly and let me have a few more minutes in the fish tank which was nice :) .
I visited Feet Retreat with a friend and it was a lovely way to spend some time together. The glass of champagne was a treat and we sat having a chat, relaxing before the treatment. It was the first time i'd had a fish pedicure and enjoyed the experience. The staff member was friendly and made us feel at ease. The offer was really good value for money.
I have to say that I went because of my friend, but to be honest, after the first strange feeling when the fish 'attacked my feet' I got used to that. Also the overall result was very good. Woudl recommend it absolutely.
Feet are checked for cuts and then sprayed with a wash and dried (with a small towel provided by staff)before dipping into the tank. Very ticklish at first but settles once you get used the feeling/nibbling. We were offered magazines to read but more fascinated with watching the fish. The time passed quite quickly and then we dried our feet and were given some cream to rub in. Feet did feel softer after "treatment", but don't think it got rid of all hard skin. Value for money with Wahanda offer but don't think I would repeat.
bought for my mother as a mothers day present! she had such a lovely time! she had never had a fish pedicure and i'm sure she will only be coming back there for one now! thanks for looking after her!
Great venue, friendly staff and feet left noticebly smoother. Although 15 mins for my fish pedicure was not quite long enough but I can't complain for it was a good introductory offer and just means I need to go again!
Really enjoyed treatment especially foot massage at the end. Bubbly was added bonus on a Monday morning. Staff friendly, professional and knew lots about the fish and treatment.
went with my wife and really enjoyed treatment considering it was the first time. Very professional, pleasant and informative staff who made you feel welcome. Would definately re-book again in the future.
considering it was the first time, i was a little scared of the fact that these lil fish eat your skin, but theres nothing to worry about it feels like a tickle, i giggled through most of it :-P... ermm you wont see major results but my fett felt much smoother than usual...great place..n not to forgtgreat bargin!
I thought the staff were very helpful and professional. The salon was easy to find and I had no problems booking at a convenient time for me. I will book again in the near future.
highly rate this salon, took my wife as a suprise and by far the best salon we've come across.amazing vibe, total luxury in all way's.everythin was pure class and my wife absolutely loved her treatments.great staff, management, and therapist zuzannah you can tell she loves what she does which makes a change.
Thanks Guys,defrinitely booking again.
Me and my friends went for a girly day on the weekend and had a wicked time,we had fish pedicure, followed by a delux pedicure with therapist and foot massages. staff were great, polite, and were actually interested in us as people rather than customers which was really nice.a salon with a total difference in all aspects, 100% recommend to everyone.
WOW amazing shop, amazing day, love love love.
cant wait go back, loved little fishy's and love my pedicure so much, and opi products
As others have said not what i expected when I first booked, i have been to be Soho fish pedicure on a wahanda deal which is much a better... The market stool just isn't for me.
Found this place yesterday after some shopping in town. My girlfriend has wanted to have a fish pedicure for ages so I agreed to as well - we had to wait about 45 minutes as we didnt have a pre-booking but the staff were really friendly and accomodating and the ipads and magazines were a good touch and the time flew by! Thanks and I will come again. Feet were a little softer after 30 mins in with the fish
Free ipads, Free teas. free chocolates amazing comfy fish pedi machines, amazing shop, great friendly staff.
fish pedi was great, pedicure was amazing, foot massage was the best ever.
100% HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Had a wicked time at Perfect Feet in Bayswater this afeternoon. me and my little daughter went great shop, staff were amazing, perfect feet's set up is great youre feet are cleanssed before, then they put slippers on you, then when fish treatment is over they dry youre feet, moisturize with expensive OPI moisturiser. therapist was also great and does a inexpensive lovely pedicure also they let my small daughter join me for no charge on fish machines we had great fun playing on supplied ipads. i recommend this shop highly!!!!!!!!!!!
first time using whanda, bought the fish pedicure treatnet for my wife, thoroughly enjoyed our time at this classy shop, staff were polite and very welcoming, and really enjoyed all the complimentary treats. fish therapy is amazing, and my wife enjoyed her pedicure. definitely going back sometime soon.
The therapist welcomed me, she was very friendly. It was lovely to sit and enjoy a glass of bubbly.
The treatment was pleasant, a bit strange at first but this wore off after a few mins of getting used to.
However, it didn't meet my expectations, I was expecting my hard skin on my heels to be gone but that was still there afterwards so I dont think fish pedicure is for me, I wouldnt have it again, I have done a far better job myself at getting the hard skin off. But it was a nice experience. I had to use the ladies before I left as I had a long drive home and unfortunately the toilet facilities were not a nice experience, a bit too tatty. But overall a nice experience to try, thank you.
I had to book the fish pedicure weeks in advance. I left them a message to book the appointment but they never replied.
Anyway, the venue was really easy to find. When I got there, the receptionist took me to the room and told me to take my shoes off, after that she left for a good five minutes, and when she came back she explained what I had to do.
The feeling, when you first put your feet in, it's hard to describe. But after two minutes you get used to it. I was mesmerised by the fish!
Five minutes into the treatment they put the music on in the room, it was really loud, so I couldn't relax and enjoy the treatment. And just before the end they offered me some herbal tea (in a dirty mug).
When I finish the treatment I realised the towel on the floor was dirty and wet, I believe this was from a previous client.
I wouldn't go back to this venue. But I would definitely recommend this treatment.
Went to Perfect Feet fish Spa today in bayswater, thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the much hyped fish therapy, i paid extra for the foot massage and pedicure, although was a long afternoon i was pleased that they had a amazing waiting area for my friends to sit and relax, also the lovely staff gave us loads of complimentary tea's and chocolates, also thyey gave my friends ipads to use while they waited.
tha salon interior was sooooo nice, they also specialize in OPI products so everything used was OPI. had a amazing foot massage, and amazing pedicure. my feet look amazing cant wait go back.
keep it rocking guys, see you at my next appt.
me and my pooch charlie was at hyde park yesterday and decided to go to Perfect feet, had a relaxing fish pedi, then opted to pay extra for a nice shape and polish as i was wearing flip flops, my feet felt so smooth after the fish, and my toes looked beautiful after a nice massage and pedicure, shop was so smart, decor was so nice, salon had a very expensive luxury feel at a great affordable price. staff were welcoming and polite. therapist was good and ronaldo lookalike boss was hot.x
definitely highly rcommend it.
this salon was a amazing find, sleek, intimate, luxurious, beautiful decor, and very clean, just stunning, staff were amazing.
i went for a fish therapy and ended up staying 3 hours having a full body treatment.
Facial- first time having a extraction facial, and will definitely try again also using the luxury brand guinot just loved it.
massage- not sure what brand the arometherapy oils were as they were allready mixed. but there was a huge selection of arometherapy and calming oils, massage room was small but this added to the chic, elegant style of the salon. zuzannah my therapis was great, and firm. she puts all her effort into her massage rather than some beauticians who just blabber non stop.
fish therapy- fish were a lil tired but was relaxing, iPADS such a amazing touch.
pedicure and foot massage - a great service, and just what you need after 30 minutes in the fish tank, huge selection of OPI products lacquers, and OPI massage oils
i have booked several appointments over next coming months with Perfect Feet Fish Spa & Beauty these guys have definitely hit the nail on the head with this chic salon.
ONLY NEGATIVE- a lil tucked away and to addictive.
Thanks Perefect Feet Fish Spa & Beauty

My boyfriend and I went for a fish pedicure at Orba Spa in Camden this week. Orba Spa is a market stall in an indoor market opposite Camden Town station so don't expect a plush spa location and if you don't like other visitors to the market watching you as you have your pedicure, I woudl suggest trying to find some where else. Having said that, we did not have a problem with the facilities and you quickly get used to people staring at you and asking you how it feels.
There are about 10 fish tanks at Orba and in the 30 minute we were there, there were about 10 people, so it seems very popular.
It is a weird sensation. I was a bit nervous about putting my feet into the tank. The fish tickle a lot when they nibble away at your dry skin but you get used to it.
After our 30 minute treatment, our feet did seem a bit softer although I don't know if that was from the fish or due to the fact that we had just soaked out feet for 30 minutes. I think, to see a real difference, multiple visits would be required.
The normal price for the treatment is £1 a minute. We got the £8 deal from Wahanda which I thought was good value for money, maybe not for the results of the pedicure but for the experience. I am not sure I would pay the full price for this treatment.
amazing experience. very strange feeling but got use to it after a while. feet felt soft. not as much as everyone else, But maybe because my feet are not as hard. staff very very nice. explained everything and answered all my questions. liked the fact that they checked everyone feet before you put them into the water, in case you have infections. my only disappointment was that we didn't get the foot cream after the treatment to take home, as it said on the deal that i brought from this web site.
I visited the spa yesterday with a work colleague as she had a treatment booked in. While I waited for her I enjoyed a fish pedicure and really loved using the ipads! 45 minutes passed in no time. I work in the area and went back after work for a leg wax. Skin was left hairless and feeling smooth. The beauty room is located at the back and is a little small but nonetheless its still really nice. Highly recommend it.
fish pedicures are a bit of a novely. they ae noit as effectiveor pampering as a normall pedi but are fun nontheless. The was a really good pice and definaeelyworth it. nio the nicest facilies and a bit difficult to find salon
I came down to Bournemouth with a friend and walked past Yu Tang Spa on the way back to our hotel after a long days shopping. Our feet were tired from being on our feet all day so we decided to go in and try it out! I have never had it done before and was excited to have a go!! It was amazing, at first it really tickled but I got used to it and was so relaxed throughout the treatment! I would recommend Yu Tang Spa :) friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. It was a great end to the day!!
Went and got a fish pedicure last week and it was AMAZING! gorgeous shop..much better than sitting in the middle of a shopping centre. The owner is lovely and offers you tea and you even get foot cream and slippers and of course baby soft feet! If you havent tried a fish pedicure before then go to Yu Tang Spa!
We went for our 'pedicure' yesterday. There was a young man essentially covering the stand, who clearly is not a trained therapist. Our vouchers included 'foot cream application'. This was just a squirt of cream onto our hands to apply ourselves. The vouchers were also to include 'free Orba foot salts'. There was no sign of those!
The fish were fun to watch and relaxing to experience, but overall this was a disappointing visit.
very basic enviroment, does not resemble anything spa like. It's mainly just an experience does not really provide a proper pedicure.
the staff member was just there, not the friendliest .
A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience. Warm welcome as we entered with a brief description of our treatment by the friendly therapist.
Our feet were washed and dried and were given fresh clean flip/flop type slippers to wear. We were then directed and introduced to the 'garra rufa' fish. A lovely, tingly sensation for a full 15 minutes whilst drinking some sparkling rose wine. The treatment was then finished with a massage using foot lotion.
My feet were left feeling soft and fresh. We shall definitely be going back.
I think this treatment would be particularly successful as a course of treatment ie 6 treatments, 1 every 2 weeks.
I went with a friend for a girls day out and had a fantastic time! The staff were friendly and made you fell very welcome!
I was very nervous about the experience but thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be going again!
The word Spa may have been a bit misleading, it's quite the opposite. The experience is quite interesting and it's good to try, but don't expect immaculate soles, the fish cannot compare to a pedicure by a professional, also we were told we would get some foot salts but we never did so don't expect any add ons. The service could have been much more better.
The place was heaving and we had to wait for half an hour - some people had arrived off the street at our appointment time and were given our spot... Not ideal. The staff were friendly enough I suppose. "5 minutes after-care treatment" meant being handed some foot cream on a stick to rub into our feet ourselves...
went with my mum and sister and the staff were great. this is my regular place to go and would not change it for the world. staff actually treat you like a human being, unlike other places. highly recommend this place, and fish pedicures are tickly but they do the job :)
Absolutely loved the place, the staff - everything was just brilliant. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience. It was my first time so was a little apprehensive but i was explained everything and staff were so friendly
Real girly treat. Me and my friend went for the experience of fish pedicure. We really enjoyed it, sitting with our feet dipped in the tank with fish swimming around and tickling our feet. Foot massage was good and a glass of bubbly really topped it off. Worthwhile visit.
Thanks
A fish pedicure was something I wanted to try and this discount got me to do it. I went with my boyfriend and as it is just an open space in Camden he didnt feel it was too "girly" for him so he was happy to join in. Personally, I dont really like my feet being touched but after the first 5 minutes I got used to it and relaxed. Good value for £8, i wouldnt pay the full price though.. With the Wahanda deal this was great value.
It was my first ever fish pedicure experience and I enjoyed it. It is fun although I am not a big fan of being a tourist attraction as the facilities are in Camden market and so a lot of tourists are staring at you. The staff is friendly&helpful. Didn't get the Foot Salts.
Great place. Staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Went witha friend and had a fish pedicure for the first time. I booked a voucher via this website without seeing the venue first and was really pleased when we arrived to find that it was very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend this place and would definitely go again.
Thanks for a lovely experience!
Was a bit dubious about treatment and a little nervous but brilliant staff made me feel at ease. Fish pedicure left my feet feeling amazing, will definately book in for another.
Decided last minute to try out the fish pedicure with a friend, a bit apprehensive at first, not sure if I wanted fish nibbling my feet. Anyway thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The price was good for 15 mins, my feet feel so soft . I shall be making regular visits now the summer is here. I would definetely recommend to family and friends.
it wasn't the best place to have a fish pedicure but i have enjoy it and for sure i'll have it again.
the service was giving not maching the printed voucher offer,..
The pedicure itself was good, although I would recommend getting a half hour - I only did 15mins and don't think it was really long enough.
The place is quite exposed, so everyone walking past is looking at you and sometimes tourist taking photos, so if you would be put off by that sort I thing I wouldr ecommend going early or during the week - I went on a weekday afternoon so it was not too bad but I would imagine in the weekends there would be a lot of spectators!
My mother-in-law to be and I really enjoyed our time at feet retreat! We must have laughed the hole time! Staff were very nice and treatment was amazing! Will be going back I'm sure.
My experience was great, loved the fish pedicure and the foot massage at the end was spot on feet looking good and ready for flip flops now definitely will be coming back to keep them in-check, I'll be interested in the loyalty card when you start to supply them, Thank you ladies & guy's awesome :)
The fish pedicure was a real experience, well worth a go and my feet felt softer afterwards! Being in Camden Lock, we were fairly on display to other passers by but this made it a bit more fun and if you're a Camden Market fan then this won't bother you at all.
WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT THE LADY WAS REALLY HELPFUL AS MY TIMES WERE RESTRICTED DUE TO WORK.IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE,I WAS A BIT APPREHENSIVE BUT WAS ASSURED I WOULD ENJOY IT& WE DID.YOU FEEL A VERY LIGHT TINGLING SENSATION,A LITTLE TICKLISH UNDER MY TOES!,BUT IT WAS RELAXING.TEA & COFFEE OFFERED WHICH WAS NICE.LAST BUT NOT LEAST MY FEET FELT AMAZING AFTER, REDUCED MY SORE HARD PRESSURE LUMPS ON MY TOES & THE HARD SKIN ON THE BALLS OF MY FEET.MY FEET FELT REALLY SILKY FOR DAYS AFTER & STILL, BETTER THAN BEFORE! WOULD DEFINATELY HAVE ANOTHER.IT BEATS ANY PUMICE STONE OR HARD SKIN REMOVING CREAM.
Went with my boyfriend, I was initially a bit nervous about this and the fact that a big crowd stands round watching was a bit off-putting but actually the experience was pretty fun. Not sure it was as effective as a normal pedicure but definately worth doing.
I went to Feet Retreat with my sister and mum and it was lovely. I have had fish pedicure treatments previously, but the staff have never been friendly, the lady at this place was so friendly, this was even before we entered the shop. I would really reccomend this place. i would go back again.
Quirky venue in the middle of Camden Lock Market, so you can watch the world go by. The pedicure feels like bubbles and vibrations. I was mesmorised watching the fish. Glad I tried it, as life is all about new experiences.
The therapist was very friendly and chatty. They peiducre was an unusual experience, but was enjoyable all the same. It could have done with being longer than 15 mins, but can't really complain for the price. I would have it done again.
I decided to try the fish pedicure treatment mainly because Wahanda had an offer on it plus I was curious about it. So on the set day, off I go to experience this new treatment (in my book!). Anesis Spa is located at a very convenient location, easy to get to. It's newly operated, clean, has tasteful decor & the beautician who attended to me was polite & professional. The downstairs spa was sort of divided into 3 sections; from the main door there's the sitting area, then the fishes tank & finally the back where you can get changed etc. This layout ensures privacy whilst you're having your treatment. You're not part of the window display like what some places do.
Once I have filled up the form, I was taken to the back to remove my shoes. Then the beautician cleaned my feet with some baby wipes & was given the disposable slippers to wear so that I can walk to the tank area. There were quite a number of tanks available. I was seated comfortably on a cushioned bench at one of the tank, was told put my feet into the water slowly then enjoy the experience. The fishes quickly swarmed around my feet & happily nibbling away. To those who keep envisioned piranhas...well it was nothing vicious like that ;) There was no pain whatsoever. It's a strange sensation I would say. The best way for me to describe it is it feels like your feet is being tapped lightly with fingers. Imagine there were 30 ish (I don't know the total number of fishes per tank) fingers doing that randomly & simultaneously...that's how it feels like I think. I wouldn't say I find it a totally therapeutic & calming experience as others do. Hugely coz I was acutely aware of each sensation & was bordering on being ticklish. I am perfectly fine with normal pedicure sessions though but with little fishes I am not so. Anyway once my time with the fishes was up, I was taken to the back where the usual process of nail painting occurred. They uses OPI varnishes with huge selection of colours available. All in all, I would say this treatment has left my feet feeling smooth & beautiful. Fish pedicures is definitely not for ticklish or squeamish people. If you are not, then fun factor is high & it will be a great laugh. Also please remember to wear appropriate clothing. There were girls who came in with tight skinny jeans! You need to be able to roll your jeans/trousers comfortably up to your knee level. So wearing shorts or skirts is recommended. Enjoy :)
My Mom & me went to try this out as we had heard so much about it. On arrival we received a glass of champagne (real champagne, not fizzy wine!) The therapist was great & the pedicure itself ....... well, what an experience! It was a strange feeling to begin with but we soon relaxed & it was brilliant, the results were amazing, betterthan any pedicure i have had before. What a treat!
An interesting experience. The therapist was very nice, she put us at ease and explained the whole process.
The place was a bit cramped and it was in view of all the passers by which was a bit distracting. However it was clean and friendly.
Very funny experience, staff friendly and place very clean. A good novelty present for a friend. Came away feeling really relaxed and happy. Once you get over the initial weird sensasation its actually quite a peaceful experience. Everyone has to try one, Would reccomend.
I totally loved the whole experience today. Both myself and my friend were made very welcome on arrival to the shop with a lovely glass of bubbly. It was both our first time having a fish pedicure and it felt lovely, like having little bubbles at our feet. Before the peppermint lotion was applied, I could really feel a difference.
I would definatly go again.
This was the first time I'd had a fishy pedicure so I didn't really know what to expect. When booking and saw the word "Spa" in the title I imagine a relaxing haven...didn't realise it would be on an indoor market stall and that people would be able to watch in while you're having your treatment.
We had booked a specific appointment time but were told to come back in 30 minutes as they were running late. At the time it was fine as we didn't have anything else we needed to do that date but if we did it would have been inconvenient. They did however, give us a free foot lotion to apologise for the delay along with the foot salts that came with the offer.
The therapist ensured we wiped down our feet before we put them in the tank and my sister and I were able to sit next to eachother to have our treatments. The area seemed clean and well cared for.
The treatment itself was extremely strange...it wasn't unpleasant but was definately odd! My feet aren't particularly sensitive but my sisters are and she found it hard to put her feet in the tank without flinching!
Overall it was an experience and I myself would do it again - my feet were soooo soft afterwards! The Wahanda bargain is worth it for those that aren't too sure as it's a lot more expensive when you just show up. Don't let the little fishies get hungry - give it a try!
parking is the main problem Harborne very busy on a Saturday but luckily found a space around the corner. Staff are quite MAD !!!!!! but very friendly. The fish are cute ! the whole expeirence was quite pleasant. Possibly wouldn't do again as I look after my feet and didn't really feel a massive difference afterwards. Would recommend to those people who after spending the whole winter in socks then think wearing flip flops on the 1st sunny day with the dry crusty heels on show is a good idea ! ! ug
The spa is quite open so it's not very personalised but the treatment was a fun thing to do with a friend. The fish pedicure didn't make my feet feel as lovely as a 'normal' pedicure so I wouldn't go back again but it was nice to be able to try it out with the offer.
This was a gift for a friend so I was anxious in case she did not enjoy it for any reason. I needn't have worried! The treatment was a great hit, the feeling is actually very pleasant (a bit like tiny cups of suction and vibration) I wouldn't really liken it to pins and needles as many people do. My friend loved the experience and was delighted with her present, she will definitely do it again!
Amazing experience. Friendly, cheap and you can go on ipads! I definately will go back and i recommend it 100% to everyone!
I was a little tentative about doing this but the staff were friendly, The venue was clean and tidy and I felt sure that this was a standard which they uphold. After the initial foot dipping, which took a while, the treatment was extremely pleasant. The whole experience whizzed by, and I did wish that I had been able to extend it. Downfall was that I felt that my feet should have been washed again after the treatment, but hey maybe thats just me. Altoghter a great experience.
Great place! Took my mum for mothers day and she loved it. The people are lovely and the decor/ ambience inside is perfect. It is tucked away in London but definitely worth a visit...shame I don't live closer as I could see it being quite addictive.
Very relaxing and although at first I thought the ipad was a bit strange it was actually really nice as 45minutes is quite a long time to be sitting for!
I went with a group of girls from work and found it a fun outing. The venue itself is within Camden Market so is in a stall where people walking past will be able to stop and look in the open doorway - we didn't mind this but some people might. It's important to not expect a spa setting.
We had the 15 min fish pedicure treatment and there were 4 of us to a large tank of garra rufa fish. Not knowing what to expect there were more than a few screams from the group as we first put our feet in. The fish immediately then start to swarm around your feet, which took a couple of minutes to get used to. Once you get used to the fish it's actually quite a relaxing feeling having them flitter around and swim through your toes. It doesn't hurt but is definitely a little ticklish. After the treatment my feet felt smoother especially around my heel.
Not sure this is a regular thing as a treatment but it is great as a fun experience especially with friends.
Great experience & definitely worth a try. Fun going as a group to enjoy it together.
Staff were friendly and new all about the fish etc so you know they look after them & that its a reputable place.
Will definitely go back again but will have longer in the tank next time as 15 mins goes too quickly!
Anesis spa was very clean and hygenic, the staff were very polite, welcoming and reassuring (about the nervousness of the fish pedicure!) overall i would fully recommend this as a treat for yourself or for a friend as the treament was well worth the money and i would definitely go again!
This was an amazing place with a very kind assistant. We cam all the way from Dulwich on many different modes of transport but it was definitely worth it. You first use special cleansing wipes and then you but your feet in this beautiful tank full of very cool fish. Internet and ipads are provided so you can use the ipads to watch your favourite shows on websites such as BBC iplayer and 40D. It was an amazing experience that left you with very soft, smooth feet and it was a fun, relaxing time. The fish enjoy eating the dead bits of your feet and it did not hurt at all - just tickled at the start. The only negative about this is that is hard to find because it is a shop inside a shop. It was very pretty inside and i would really reccomend this.
I Had never been for a fish pedicure before the whole experience was great . I went with a friend we started our session with a glass of bubbly in which we took our time and was not rushed at any point . Once we had finished it was time for the fish pedicure. It felt a bit weird at first especially when you looked down at your feet and saw all these tiny fish stuck to your feet . However it was the best pedicure i had in terms of removing hard skin . My feet felt wonderful after . I would definitely have another fish pedicure again.
The value of the fish pedicure was spot on I wouldn't pay any less or anymore, the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. The therapist are very helpful and feet look beautiful
The spa was actually in the market place so very open. The tanks did not have very many fish in them, we had our feet in them for 25 minutes but they didn't feel that great afterwards. I would not go to this location again, especially not to pay full price - £1 per minute, its not worth it.
this was a good experiance for me and my partner, feet feel light and refreshing.
the staff was really friendly and made us all feel welcome. the facilites are ok, it was value for money
what a lovely experience the minute we walked through the door the therapist offered us our glass of champange and asked us to fill in the health and safety questionaire. she then washed our feet and took us to the individual tanks we were going to use. she answer all our questions without any hesitation she hid no information from use like how often the tank was cleaned ?nitely. what the fish were fed on ? she even gae us the location and the cost of fish.
all in all it was a fanastic experience to be recommended to everyone i can,t wait for my nex.t treatment
Loved this treatment - felt funny at first but never uncomfortable and my feet felt very soft afterwards. The member of staff on duty was pleasant and made us feel very welcome.
The premises seemed clean but toilet facilities were a little basic (although there was a man there decorating so my be sorted soon). Overall it was good value for the price paid although at full cost a bit expensive. Will definitely have again if price is right and would recommend this deal :)
I went there during the week before noon and it was quiet and the fish still hungry :) I found it very relaxing and funny. After 15 I can't see any huge differences but the experience was really enjoyable and I definately will do it again!
We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would not hesitate in returning or recommending to others. The staff were friendly and most helpful. The salon was most inviting and tranquil. We had a wonderful girlie experience and most definitely will repeat
I was a bit apprehensive at the thought of this treatment, but it was actually fine.
The therapist was very friendly. The salon was very clean, and the fish were very pleased to see me - judging by the way they swarmed at the tank surface as I sat down.
It was great value for money.
My feet were very soft after the treatment, so mission acomplished.
It was well worth the money and we would definately go again. It was a really relaxing experience in a very relaxing environment with friendly knowledgable staff who are more than happy to help make the day a pleasurable one.
Staff were both friendly and courteous. A very welcoming and clean atmosphere. I went with my Mother ad my Daughter and we all had a fish pedicure. The treament was daunting at first, but staff were very understandable and informed us of what to expect. The treatment was most definately good value for money and we will most certainly be going back again.
As it was my first experience I did not know what to expect, the therapist was lovely and explained in detail what would happen, although I found it a very strange experience the after result was very good and would go back again.
I've been to Asase a few times, and have even bought vouchers for friends and family. I love it there, and feel the ambience is what I would expect for this buzzing part of town. However, if people are looking for a more private spa experience, then this may not be for them. The staff are all pleasant, in that they all have an approachable manner. I really appreciated the free coffee. Experience of the fish pedicure is really sensational. I'm a devotee now. When I've been to Asase, it always looked clean, without any dirty towels left about etc (the staff are attentive). The hot stone massage and foot massage were okay, not the best I've had. Having said that I've bought a gift voucher for someone to experience the fish pedicure, foot massage, and hot stone so they can try The Asase experience.
When entering the shop we were made to feel really welcome by the staff & handed our glass of bubbly & offered a seat in reception. The staff were very friendly and explained the treatment we would be having, first they wash your feet to make sure that your feet are completely clean before you put them into the tank. Initially it is a weird sensation with the fish nibberling at your feet but then once you relax its an enjoyable experience. Once your 15 minutes in the tank is up you get your feet dried and a foot massage. Overall a very enjoyable experience :-)
The treatment was the best I have ever had, and Ive had quite a few pedicures in my time.
Extremley welcoming, fab therapist who also massaged our feet. So impressed were going back on Mothers Day!! Thanks Michelle
It was my first time for fish pedicure and a gift. I was given a cream to take away, but I am sure I was also supposed to be given foot salts which were not given at the end of the treatment. Overall worth it for the value.
The place was relatively easy to find. The treatment was ok but I did expect all the hard skin from my feet to be removed considering there isn't much, but that wasn't the case. I wouldn't go there again.
Just had a fantastic time at Perfect Fish so wanted to let everyone know about it!! It's tucked away in a great location, very near Hyde Park.
I couldn't recommend the facilities enough, the iPAD was a lovely touch and the lovely herbal tea was very relaxing while the fish got to work on my feet (which are now glistening lol)!!
I will definitely be returning, what a find! Thanks for a great experience!
I was nervous about this but went with my daughter for our teatments. The staff were fantastic- really friendly and explained everything about the fish, thier habitat and maintainance, and what we could expect. The salon was nicely decorated in a modern minimalistic style.
The pedicure itself was tickly but not unpleasant, and our feet did feel smoother afterwards (after we had stopped giggling long enough to check!)
I would reccomend both the fish pedicure and the salon- go on-spoil yourself!
The salon still seemed to be in the process of refurbishment and though the staff were friendly we got the impression that they were there for their own reasons rather than that of the client and that made me uncomfortable for the more intimate part of the treatment; the foot washing and cream application.
The lay out was strange with no where to remove items of clothing and though we could get into the chairs I would imagine that people with mobility problems would find it difficult.
Not unpleasant but rather a strange place and people.
The experince we had at the Feet Retreat was a excellent from the facility to the service!! i would go back again....i would recommend this treatment to all. The facilities are very well maintained and clean.
It's quite a basic set up in the market area. You share the communal area with other customers which is fine until some of them start squealing when the fish begin to suck. It was fine for a regular user but if you were after somethign special then this doesnt have that. The process was clean and you got the foot cream and the salts and a full 30 minutes in the tank but maybe a little more privacy would have been good.
Basically I did enjoy it and the therapist was really helpful... Downside for me is that a stall at a market is not exactly providing for proper relaxation as well as the facilities leave something for the desire... All in all I'm very happy I tried it, especially at this price :o) just don't expect the fish working wonders on your feet hehe
Small basement premises, a little shabby outside with PVC adds. tied to to railings. Nice , helpful receptionist (new). Good changing rooms, well equipped. The Fish Pedicure was pleasant ( after initial shock for a few second) . A nice tingling sensation from the fish doing their work and skins now feels nice & smooth . Was pleasant experience & happy with price but would not pay full price, which I feel would be expensive for what you get.
Fun for all demographics - went with my mum for a spot of pampering but think I might also buy this present for my boyfriends brother as it's a fun present thats a bit different and not too serious for his birthday.
I had no idea what to expect and how the treatment might feel, but it was a fun experience and my feet feel fab!
I was surprised to find the spa to be part of a rental stall in the market exposed to all the public to walk by and view clients having their their feet gnawed away. The 'therapist' if you could call her such was not professional and knowledgeable with good customer care skills. When asked by my psoriasis-sufferer friend what scent was used in the bag of foot salts which she quickly shoved into our hands she couldnt reply. My friend had to decline the offer as a precaution. We waited our turn to plunge our feet into the tanks and i was surprised at how cold the water was - it made the experience unpleasurable & uncomfortable. 30 mins later the 'therapist came around with what looked like a small vial of yoghurt which i thought was her lunch. This was the 'foot cream' which we had to apply ourselves onto our feet after we dried them with little flannels trying desperately not to touch the cold lino floor with our bare feet. Predictably she couldnt tell us what the foot cream was composed of when asked about the ingredients - her reply was "its really nice!". My first fish ped. experience was at the Acqua Sheko Spa in Soho and it was HEAVENLY compared to this Circus Fairground dare experience! Not worth the money even on discount!
I was very Happy with the overall presentation of the salon
.The staff was very nice and good at listening i came out loving my shellac nails and eye lashes extension !!!!its been 2 weeks now since i got it done and my nails and eyelashes still looking perfect !!!!
Went to feet retreat yesterday with my soon to be mother-in-law, we laughter the hole time from the fish eatting our fish. Really enjoyed the treatment. I have lovely soft feet now. Will be going back in the future!
Very enjoyable. Wouldn't pay full price for the treatment but definitely worth the 8 pounds. Therapist very nice. The fish tickle a lot, takes a bit of getting used to! Probably prefer a traditional pedi but worth the experience when its cheap!
I bought this for my daughter and I and we were not disappointed. The salon was inviting and the staff very friendly. It was very clean. The treatment itself was extremely relaxing and we would definately go again.
I did not find the owner that welcoming or attentive. He sat chatting to a female friend throughout my 30 minutes treatment which is really not a good for customer care. Attached to this pedicure offer was moisturising cream which was slow in coming and I thought I would need to ask for it before a small amount was put on the palm of my hand for both feet. I would have brought my own if I only I had known. I've fish pedicures before and would not rate this one any higher than so-so.
This is such a fun thing to do. I went as a group of girls before cocktails! We loved it a little odd feeling but good to get you giggling! The staff were great, so clean and the water was constantly being cleaned by a pump so had no worries about dunking my feet! I would definitely tell others about this quirky little place.
The overall experience was average considering that the store is located inside the market with people walking pass and looking at what you're doing there. The friendly lady working there however did make a difference with our whole experience.
went straight after work with the girls..had been looking forward to it all day.The location was great, opposite Camden Town tube station, so very convenient. Felt a bit strange as was in a little unit within an indoor shopping mall...people were going past watching...but it was great!!! Good fun, only tickles..honest...& well worth it. Definitely recommend it!
Terrible experience. It was literally a stall in the market with no place to put clothing, small and with lots of people starring at you. Not a spa atmosphere. The stuff was very unprofessional. I liked the fish pedicure though, I'd do it again but in another place.
I visited Orba a few weeks ago as I was thinking of booking a fish pedi for my mum for mothers day, when I got to Orba I wasn't too impressed by the location. It was in a in door market and it was a little unclear where the place was, I eventually found it hidden deep inside the market and was greeted by the assistant who was very helpful and polite. Once my feet were in the tank it was a little ticklish but you soon get over that. 25 min session and a cream for when you get out. I was suppose to receive a salt scrub free but never received so was a little disappointed that after these fish were at your feet for 25mins you never received anything to scrub them done afterwards. Worth the money, would maybe try somewhere else next time.
This was a great experiance, the staff where great and the treatments where very good we had the best laugh ever and the staff our so funny i have booked in for next week i will tell all my friends about diva and the great service thanks guys see you next week...oh and my tan is the best i have ever had thank you Donna xx
The staff were ok and so was the surroundings. However, the best thing about this whole experience is that it is a very unique one, which will leave your feet with a new lease of life!
Great place, lovely people. definately something everybody needs to experience! not sure how id react to the treatment but it's a lovely feeling and feet instantly felt softer. the place had a great ambience and I felt relaxed from arrival. We will definately be re-visiting!
This was my first experiance in having a fish pedicure and I enjoyed it so much that I am going to tell all my friends and would like to do this again!
was a good experience - staff were very friendly - there was a slight delay at the beginning nothing major 2 mins I think! But the staff were very appologetic - it's located in the busy Camden Market but that's not an issue and you can wave at the tourist as they go by (it's an indoor maket - so ur not exposed to the elements) great time and great value for money - go with someone as its great to sit and chat!
Visited Feet Retreat this afternoon and really enjoyed the experience . I had booked it as a surprise for my husband, i knew he'd like that kind of thing but wasn't sure how i would cope with the fish. Our feet were washed prior to the treatment and we were given new slippers to put on (for hygiene reasons) and then took over to the tanks. I did not know what to expect and at first was a little took back by the fish but soon settled down and enjoyed the experience. In the end it was just like my feet was in a foot spa, very relaxing and i could have stopped there all day, the water was a lovely and warm and sipping my glass of bubbly was truely fantastic. The tanks were very clean, contary to one review on here but you always seem to get one person moaning about something - don't let it put you off going it was not what we experienced today! My husband has not stopped going on about it and wants to go back again, our feet are really soft and all our hard skin gone, quite unbelieveable really. The staff were lovely and welcoming and we would like to thank them both for a lovely experience that was not rushed what so ever, and also thanks for letter our daughter watch, it was kind of you. We wish you all the best with Feet Retreat - open one a little closer to Cannock and we will visit more often!!
Being male was apprehensive to go went on recommendation.Made to feel very welcome and staff very hospitable and helpful.Had a brilliant experience feet felt rejuvenated.Totally recommend to have a go, will be going again.Thank you.
Excellent - went with my daughter as was an early Mothers Day gift before going overseas. Staff friendly, atmosphere very relaxing and more private, but maintained cosiness - far better than some other fish pedicure salons. No rush at all. Fish tanks very clean, plenty of fish - approx. 80 - nothing except fish in water, premises also very clean and follow all H&S standards. Loved the glass of champage too!!!!
Am going again as next time as also can have a manicure and nails / toe nail varnished.
Keep up the good work.
Spa isn't a very precise description for this place, as you're sitting bang in the middle of the market hall with people walking past on both sides! Lots of tourists wanted to take photos and ogle us, which was very off-putting! When we arrived we were told that we would have to wait an hour until we could have our fish pedicure as the engineer was cleaning the filters! We managed to bring that down to half an hour but the staff were not particularly helpful or customer-service oriented. When we were finally sat down at the fish tanks, as a goodwill gesture for having made us wait so long, we were given an extra 10 minutes. The fish pedicure itself was quite pleasant, although not really an effective way of removing dead skin from your feet. I would think of this as a novelty experience rather than a proper pedicure. Our feet felt softer afterwards, but only from having been soaked in water for 40 minutes!
It was overall a fun experience, but we didn't receive the free gift, as our voucher advertised, and when we arrived, we we told that there were no tanks free, despite booking a specific time. However, we were quickly attended to, and it was a fun activity to do with a friend. Good value for money.
great to finally experience this treatment; i was pleasantly surprised and have sent my photo to my friends for them to see. its definately a treatment that is difficult for others to imagine and harder to explain! i'd return for more - especially at the offer price i paid!!
The place was tiny and not the cleanest of all. Whilst having the 'pedicure' you sit in full view of anyone passingby and we had lots of people staring at the fishes all the time. This is not a pedicure but just to try out this bit unusual experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful but overall an average experience.
I visited the estblishment today... At first i was very suprised to have seen that the fish pedicures were done in the open; people passing by were able to see the treatment and it was a bit of putting. However, the lady working there did offer to close the area for me only.I was fine with having the treatment in front of others.
I did feel a bit rushed particularly as the treatment was for 30 mins and just after 20 mins I was told that my time was up.The lady who was having the same treatment told her that there was another ten mins . left. The lady who was working there then added 15 mins.with a timer to make it fairer.Which was kind of her...
I would like to say that I may visit this establishment again ..however i may need longer than 30 min.treatment as it didn't work too well.
Strange experience if its your first time. If you have sensitive feet its not treatment for you. My feet felt much softer after the treatment. The staff was very friendly and helpful however, you realise that you put your feet into the same water as the person before you and many other before that????
It was hardly relaxing to take off shoes and socks in front of tourists with cameras...the place is hardly a spa after all. I also did not feel comfortable to share the tanks with other people. At end of the day I didn't dare to try the treatment and throw away the voucher...it just does not worth the risk.
It's not so much a spa than a cold cubile in a tatty market. Dirty, messy with minimal effort done with the decor. Not sure how they worked out the original price of £37.99 as other people were just coming along and having the treatment for about £10. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed the treatment, although it's not particularly relaxing sitting there in a cold market with tourists coming up to you, peering into the tank and taking photos! They had an electrician looking at the wiring while I was there, saying what a cowboy job had been done, which isn't great when you've got your feet in water.
My feet were softer afterwards and I'm glad I've experienced it and for £3 (I used my £5 recommendation voucher) it was a bargain, but I wouldn't rush back.
Amazing value for money would recommend to anyone looking for a different thing to do on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Great central London location, easy to find. Not sure I would have gone without a voucher though as is a little expensive at full price.
Have a wonderful experience, recommended it to many of my friends, in fact 2 have been since and another is taking a friend next week, would definately have it done again.
Orba spa is very misleading. It is a couple of indoor market units with some fish tanks in it. The benches that one sits on whilst feet are immersed in the fish tanks are uncomfortable and the customer service consists of giving the customer a dry flannel to wipe one's feet with before immersing them.
There is no ambience at all and two of us were sternly directed to share one fish tank whilst other customers had the luxury of one tank to themselves. I would certaily not pay more the the £8 deal for 30 minutes. I did see some skin floating about at the bottom of one tank so I'm not convinced that the hygiene standards are as high as they need to be.
Went with two girls. I arrived early and gave a time we'll arrive, but as my friends were late I went back to tell him we'll come back after lunch. After we returned the guy recognised me, and let us be next in line as he knew how long we've been waiting. The fish pedicure itself is a weird sensation to begin with, like slight vibrations, but you get used to it eventually. It's strange having people look on and wanting to take pictures, but once you get over that (putting your headphones on and listening to music helps here) it's fine. A towel is provided, but do recommend you do some scrubbing of your own once you get home to tidy it up. The water is on the colder side I guess for the fish to survive. Also they close mid-afternoon to clean out the tank which we were glad to see (we were the first ones in when they re-opened). Would recommend trying it once for the experience :)
I enjoyed the treatment but I would rather have had more privacy, people where walking by all the time. The staff was nice but could not avoid noticing that more attention was payed to the people paying pronto, whereas I had the voucher... My feet where very smoth at the end of the treatment, but honestly wouldn't do it again..a good scrub and cream have the same effect.
I have bought a voucher for this as have heard of these pedicures and was very excited about going. Unfortunately Orba spa is not a spa at all but two neighbouring shacks( one with broken roof) in Camden market. As have read that higiene is a great concern with these pedicures as multiple clients use the same tanks the first impression was not good. I did ask the member of staff what they do about people cleaning their legs before they put them in the tank, and the answer is nothing. You are supposed to just take your shoes off and plunge your feet in the tank in full view of people walking about the market and when you finish they give you some cream to apply yourself. I stood around for a bit longer deliberating what to do only to witness one client being given a cold tank, and then waiting to be moved. Finally decided not to have the treatment as whole scene quite awful. Have subsequently decided to try another, proper, spa with the same treatment. Voucher thrown away.
I went with my boyfriend hoping to give him a surprise. It was a total disappointment. The spa itself was clean and tidy, but i went expected it to be a fish spa - the fact is they didn't have enough fish and it didn't really work. My boyfriend had hard skin at the bottom of his feet and it didn't improve at all after the treatment. For me there wasn't much of a difference but i just felt stupid sitting on a fish tank for half an hour without much else to do - the ambience wasn't anything special and I just tried chatting with my boyfriend throughout. I don't go there again.
I tried this fish spa in Superdrug yesterday, for the first time in my life. It was so bad...the water was dirty and the seats were uncomfortable. There were literally fish poo in the water floating like black worms - couldn't believe my eyes. My friend actually got disgusted and refused to join me in the end.
There was no service at all, the shop assistant didn't care and nobody greeted us despite that was no other customer at that time. It costed me £10 and it was such a waste of money. I will not ever go back again.
I went with a friend last week, it was awful. The tanks were very dirty with fish poo at the bottom (and some fish poo floating in the water), there were not enough fish so it didn't really work - the hard skin at the heels didn't get removed at all.
It looks like this is an imitator fish spa and they didn't do things in an professional way, don't waste your money on this one!! =(
Although the spa was in the middle of a busy indoor market the ladies were lovely and really welcoming. The treatment was spot on and we even got a couple of free gifts each to take away with us.
Place is just non-sense, you are in the middle of camden market (indoors), in between piercings shops, t-shirts, bells and hats; everyone passes in front of you and can stop and watch. So you feel more an atraction, there is no privacy at all. Place is not clean/tidy. Reception staff/therapist are very friendly (they have to be as there is one hour delay in the appointment) and kindly phone me when my appointment is due. When you are in the treatment there is another member of staff (looks like she is cleaning, but not too sure what the women does) who reminds you -non on a very polite way- all the health and safety regulations everytime you do something; basically you feel you should say thanks for the favour they are doing to you letting you stay there. To add on, one of the tanks was being fixed by a maintenance men, so we could listen the beautiful sound of the drill.
A beauty treatment should be done on a relaxing environment, clean and tidy and with professional and kind staff who should realise you are a potential client who can bring new clients. In that case, definitely is not going to happen.
It was a great experience and the sensation of fish nibbling on your feet was unique and exciting. It was very tickly in the beginning, but soon I got used to it. It was surprising to know that the place was just an area in the market though, as I had imagined it being a store. Overall, it was a good value for money and definitely a good experience.
A cold exposed market stall in Camden, not a Spa or Salon. No bathroom or even a waiting room, just a couple of cheap plastic chairs on the edge of the stall. Staff were really friendly and cheerful, I expect if they didn't smile, being stuck all day on a cold stall rubbing feet may make them cry. 4 small, almost empty tanks does not make this a Fish treatment spa.. I won't recommend or go again!
Fish pedicure is good even if weird the first time you have it done.
Don't think piranhas cos is for sure not like that.
It might be ticklish but it's quite relaxing and you do not feel the fish nibbling on your dead skin.
My only issue with the fish pedicure at Orba in Camden Market is the location. While you are having your pedicure random people walking buy take pictures of you and stare. It feels like being in a zoo or at the circus so is not relaxing at all.
I always wanted to try a fish pedicure after reading so much about it. First it was really weird to feel the little fish nibbling on my feet, it tickled a bit as well, but after a while I got used to it and it felt actually lovely. I went to Orba Spa during my lunch break and it was very relaxing to spend half an hour like that. The staff was lovely and very friendly. I would definitely go again for such a pedicure. My feet felt so soft, I acutally could not believe it. Amazing what such little fish can do! Would definitely recommend to try this treatment!
ticklish and fun leaving me with super smooth feet. it was surprisingly relaxing and fun. definitely recommend as long as you are not really ticklish. i will definitely be booking another before sandal season. i was a little surprised that the orba spa was a stall but it was nice and clean and very pleasant and the staff were helpful and friendly. The bath salts were also lovely smelling and relaxing..
The treatment itself was very effective, if you can get over the odd sensation of little fish nibbling at your feet. The venue itself leaves a lot to be desired: it's in a market hall and completely open plan and I must say that I felt uncomfortable at times as passers by and tourists stopped to gawk and even take photos!!
Not for the camera shy or those who aren't comfortable about getting their feet out in front of Joe Public!
Camden is an area for young people and I'm old!
I didn't like the area or the market,
but it seemed to be popular with young folk and tourists.
The spa itself is OK, given that it's a spot in the market.
I was early and was the only person there when I arrived.
I loved the fish pedicure itself,
and several people stopped to ask me about it out of curiosity.
The member of staff seemed quite shy
but a very nice chap once the ice was broken.
Then a couple of other clients turned up with their vouchers.
The first lady was enjoying hers but had worn tight jeans,
so difficult to roll up to put her feet in the water,
something to think about before going.
A third lady turned up as I was leaving,
and then there was a queue of young people seated waiting for their turn.
I bumped into the third lady later in the day and she wasn't too impressed.
Her son had bought it for her.
I enjoyed my experience very much,
and the cream to put on afterwards felt wonderful for the rest of the day.
Also, I was given a little bag of salt to soak my feet in water with.
Haven't tried that yet, but looking forward to it.
In terms of the venue, the best thing was the male member of staff.
He was very sweet and helpful.
This was my second fish pedicure treatment and I'd say this was the better experience,
except for being in Camden Market!
I'll be on the lookout for other fish pedicure offers as I'm hooked.
They've made a real difference to my feet.
A strange but fun experience - you should try it once. Great to do with a friend. Orba is located in a Market so be prepared for passers by to watch, comment and ask questions.
The deal was great value for money too.
When we arrived, the therapist hadn't been able to get hold of the key to open up, so we had to wait around for an hour, but this wasn't a problem as we weren't in a hurry luckily. He was a really nice friendly guy & helpfully rang us to tell us when he'd managed to open up, so we weren't too inconvenienced & just did a bit of shopping around all the lively Camden Market stalls.
The spa was a stall in a covered market, rather than a dedicated building, but it was still quiet, relaxing & away from the usual Camden bustle. But still close enough to go shopping & have a lovely lunch afterwards!
The fish pedicure was amazing, once you got over the shock! It felt wonderful & my feet are still feeling great a couple of weeks later! The therapist even let my small daughter have a quick go, which made her week!
A big dollop of gorgeous Orba foot cream was given to me after the treatment for me to rub in myself. I have this foot cream at home anyway so can recommend it.
I would definitely go back if I was in the area, and would thoroughly recommend it.
Was a little put off at first after realising it was in a corner of a shopping centre, rather than in a salon, but in the end it didn't effect the overall experience & possibly even enhanced it!
Great value for money & friendly team on site.
Thank you
It was a lovely feeling. My husband and myself enjoyed but would like to point one thing. When speaking to client I personally would have liked to be spoken quietly then to be embarrass me.
This was our first visit to the Venue and we were made so welcomed and treated extremely well. Staff was so friendly, polite, courteous and she was so gentle with the treatment given. The fish pedicure was a little daunting at first but staff reassured us in terms of the treatment and made us feel so relaxed. I would reccommend this treatment, you will definately feel the difference. It was good value for money and we will definately do this again,.
Took a while finding the place as it is not very clear. The lady on reception who took us to the treatment room was lovely and made us feel very comfortable. She then came back a few times to make sure we were ok. I really enjoyed the fish pedicure and it took a while to get used to the sensation however, my friend did not enjoy it as much as I did. I'd most probably go again but I don't think my friend would.
A converted market stall in the middle of Camden market, with everyone looking on in amusement wasn't my ideal for having a fish pedicure, but once you get over the exhibitionism, it's fine. The staff are helpful and answer any questions you have, but basically, you put your feet in a tank of little fish, and they suck off the dead skin. It really does feel like putting your feet into a bath of champagne, and it's very relaxing to watch them. The time went quickly, and afterwards, my feet felt very smooth. It didn't remove hard skin, and I'm not sure I'd pay full price for it, although I quite fancy having the whole body treatment!
I was really looking forward to my fish pedicure even though the lady who answers the phone was a bit rude when I tried to book it up. When I got there I needed to get changed and they ofered me a corner with lots of cleaning products on the floor. When I finished the fish pedicure I asked the staff for sandals as the floor was freezing cold and I didn't want to put my feet straight on the dirty and wet floor but they said that they don't provide them. So I was wondering why they don't tell the clients to bring something to wear on their feet after the fish pedicure until you can reach a chair and put your shoes on. In addition, the massage therapist didn't go that day so I didn't receive the foot massage which I was really looking forward to have done, my fish therapy was very rushed and didn't last the 30 minutes which was part of my deal. I woulld give it a miss next time as I prefer proper facilities which provide more comfort, best customer service and sandals to be worn after the treatment.
I was disappointed to find I was in a cold, dirty market stall with very little effort gone in to making it a clean, relaxing and spa like environment. The staff were friendly enough, but asked to check some people's feet for any cuts or problems but didn't bother with others. I enjoyed the reatment and my feet were a lot softer afterwards, but it was difficult to relax and totally enjoy it when tourists are constantly peering in and taking photos! An electrician came in to look at the electrics in the fish tanks while I was there and said what a cowboy job had been done - this didn't fill me with confidence either! A bargain for £3 (I used my £5 voucher), but wouldn't rush back.
I went with my mother and we have had a lovely time! A bit nervous at first, but the place was very professional and ambient. As I have tried the fish pedicure before in a shopping centre and was not very impressed, but this time I really enjoy it. Highly recommend it to try in this place!
Ok this place is not as it seems! It's actually a market stall / tent about 3 metres square in the back of a market in camden. It was natually freezing cold because its an open stall. there are 6 seats and glass containers containing the fish.
When you phone up you get the idea its a spa clinic or something. Its a market stall and there are no other ways around it.
Got here and its an open market shop, and water was stone cold, the guy said we could come back later but we were only in london for the day so not a very good experience.
I was mesmerised with the firsh, it was a totally enjoyable and relaxing experience. Felt like a foot spa with bubbles, although it was fish nibbling on my feet instead of bubbles! The staff were very helpful. Will be going again myself and would highly recommend it
Very satisfied for the price I've paid. The place is actually a stall, but they managed to create a cosy environment. The guy that helped us was very friendly and professional. The fish pedicure is an experience that a would suggest to everybody. I was a bit scared at first, but I'm already looking forward to do it again because I loved it!
10/10 for pricing! Very competitive and lower than most places!
10/10 for Ambience, you're not in view of public, it's a personal treatment with a very personal touch, and if you go at night, then add DOUBLE wow to yor time there! Candle lit and so relaxing I almost fell asleep the fist time!
10/10 for the Hostess! This lady has thought this out so much! She clearly hasn't just thought "Oh fish pedicure" run out for a tank and just plonked it on the internet as open!
10/10 for making me want to come back, infact, I just had another treatment there!
I was just about to go and review it on Gumtree, but found this site en-route!
Seriously 110% recommended!
Wow! I have never been to a fish spa before so I was a little shy to begin with. I soon realised I was worrying over nothing.
The treatment itself is so relaxing, in a private area with my own individual tank. The hostess checked on me after 20 minutes to offer tea or coffee as I had booked a 40 minute session for both my hands and feet.
Something I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing treatment, I can't wait to go back.
Eastbourne's best kept secret!!
Easy to find and handy location as only a few minutes from Marylebone Station.
What I liked:
- having an individual room which was pleasant
- the treatment itself is a bit weird but a must try!
What I wasn't so keen on:
- not being asked to wash my feet - made me question the cleanliness of the place
- the fact that the receptionist told me as I sorted myself out and was leaving that she had forgotten about me which didn't leave a great impression!
I couldn't find the place. Finally I found it and realise that it,s very small, just 2 tanks of fish in a hole in the wall. I expected something more like spa salon. I was given a small wet towel to clean my feet, and put my legs inside the tank. It was quite cold and i had to keep my coat on. I felt I still need a pedicure after that treatment, but it was nice to try and find out how it is.
Being a health professional, I had heard a lot about the healing benefits of the Garra Rufa fish, how they not only remove the hard skin from ones feet, but also the unique way in which their sucking mechanism helps stimulate blood flow and regulate the nervous system, so I decided to give it a try.
Whilst I was enjoying my pedicure, I wondered why the gentleman next to me was on his knees with his arms in the tank! Psoriasis! Those fish certainly have their work cut out! I found the experience enjoyable, the therapists were knowledgable, and there was a nice ambiance in this quirky little salon. I would certainly recommend the treatment as I found it very therapeautic.
hi well feet felt lovely all day ,after being apprehensive and not thinking it was going to be enjoyable,it actually was very relaxing ,definately recommend it ,cant wait to visit again with friends in toe !!!pardon the pun.
Popped along with friends whilst out shopping, very friendly despite being rushed off their feet, great central location and good price!!!
Great experience, fun - def recommend it. The place you have it done is pretty basic, but does exactly what it says on the tin. Feet noticeably smoother after the experience. Great gift.
My first fish pedicure was great the salon is lovely and the staff were very nice, the glass of bubbly was a added bonus too, will dewfinatly go back, although the fish obviously dont get all the hard skin they definatly made my feet and lower legs super soft :-)
it was the most freezing January day and was expecting a shop but it was just a shell really with no toilets or facilities. I would say its a great place in Summer - the fish experience was amazing and i really enjoyed it.
I like the way that the benches face each other with the fish in the middle - great talking point.
Water didn't feel like 28C and it didn't appear to have a UV filter although we did have to clean our feet before putting them in.
The venue smelt really good. The staff was very welcoming, made me and my friend feel special. I was a fish pedicure virgin at the time and it felt petrifying to immerse my feet in water ,however, staff was very encouraging, it made me feel taken care of. Thank You.
We wanted to try it and this was a great location for it but I think they were a little understaffed at time. We were there for over an hour and a half in total - the 30 minutes with our feet in the tank was actually about 50 while they did the massage and painting part on other people. We had the deluxe pedicure which didn't include any cuticle work or further filing, etc. It was good to try, but I won't do it again and didn't think the results were as good as you'd get with a normal non-fish pedicure! We had the two for one deal so it was OK value - I would have been disappointed if we'd paid full price.
After reading about fish pedicures and seeing it on tv I really wanted to try it out so when amobdeal came along it seemed like the perfect chance to try it out. I was a bit dubious at first so I got my friend a voucher too and off we went to Camden. We tried to get there for when it opened so that the fish would be "hungry", after giving the our vouchers to the member of staff we were given a towel with hot water to clean our feet before submerging our feet into the tank. It's ticklish at first but then it just becomes relaxing and the feeling of the fish nibbling the dry skin just feels like bubbles. I would definitely recommend it and I'm off again very soon :o)
I arrived at the Zoola fish spa to find that it was absolutely tiny - literally 2 tanks of fish in a hole in the wall! Its not possible to pre-book an appointment and there was nowhere to sit and wait so we had to queue up outside, which wasn't very pleasant given the miserable london weather.
We were then told to come back in a couple of hours because the fish were tired and had had their fill of eating people's feet!! I also noticed there weren't that many fish in each tank and it was just a cheap to pay on the day as it was to pre-book through Wahanda - so it didn't seem like such a good deal as orginally thought.
We didn't end up having our fish pedicure and I am not sure i would rush back.
Cold, dirty, sparse open market stall in the Camden Market Hall, NOT a spa at all. The staff were lovely, albeit hassled & stressed due to over booking. There were only 4 small tanks, very few fish (we photographed our tank and saw only 15 fish in total) and 1 tank was out of order, so massive queue for treatment and our appointment was set back twice. No privacy at all, everyone and their dog stopped by to peer at us, as market stall was open to world. No where to leave coat/bag/shoes, no bathroom facilities, actually nothing more than 3 working small tanks in a market stall. Just cheap plastic ikea seats, which were few and far between, this was nothing more than a massive disappointment and I would not recommend this so-called salon!
A FUN EXPERIENCE WHICH WAS TOTALLY PAINLESS , JUST FELT A LITTLE TICKLISH. AFTERWARDS HAD CREAM MASSAGED INTO FEET WHICH WERE LEFT SOFT AND SILKY SMOOTH ALL ROUGH DEADSKIN HAD DISAPPEARED.WELL WORTH THE MONEY, WILL DEFINETLY BE RECOMMENDING THIS TO FRIENDS AND LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER VISIT VERY SOON.
I enjoyed my fish pedicure - you get a tank containing lots of tiny fish all to yourself, and there are two tanks in the basement room. The fish were lovely (though they did rush in like a horde of piranhas when my feet first hit the water) and just a little bit tickly - like small bubbles moving over the skin. After the nibbling, my feet were given a brisk file to remove any excess hard skin and some cream applied - and they were left gorgeously smooth and soft. I'd recommend a fish pedicure to anyone that's not too ticklish, especially with the voucher offers that are around at the moment!
We really enjoyed the visit. We were well looked after and staff were attentive - an odd expericence and would recommend to anyone looking for a quirky thing to do in Brighton
Having been recommended a fish pedicure by my dermatologist (I have plantar psoriasis which causes hard skin on the feet - an illness which is NOT contagious) I booked for Asase through Wahanda. I told the manager that I had plantar psoriasis and he asked me to have a look at my feet - this was in front of everyone else in the place. He looked and said I had to go as he did not want his other customers to see- again this was said in front of other clients. My feet do not look that bad - just a lot of hard skin. One client actually said that she was surprised as psoriasis is not catching and fish treatment is a recognised form of therapy. I had to put my shoes and socks on get my money and leave. The manager said that I should get a tank of fish and treat myself at home. I have since been to two other garra rufa fish treatment salons in Brighton and was offered courtesy, sympathy and excellent service. One place even said that as I had a condition that needed regular treatment I could get a special reduction.
It was fun to do with a friend - we laughed a lot - but we didn't expect it to be effectively in the open air, which in January, baring your feet and putting them in water, was really cold! And though the fish were fun, they didn't actually remove any loose skin or leave our feet any smoother. We wouldn't do it again, or recommend it either. The guy running it was really nice and friendly, however.
Fish sweet and very busy (hence 4/4 rating for "therapist") but no match fro hard skin. Good to try this but would not return at full price. Two quibbles: no iPads and group of three of us were separated – two behind a wall from the other one, who was sat with two strangers, who arrived later than us.
The experience was not excellent because the place was crowded with customers when we arrived so it was difficult to relax and in my opinion this has to be a relaxing experience.
Also the water in the tanks did not look that clean; you could tell they have been very busy.
But apart from this, it was a different experience, the staffs were friendly and I like that they clean your feet before the treatment start and also that they offer you a cup of coffee or tea.
We were not offered the Ipad but I did no need it as I enjoyed looking at the fish eating away my skin
In overall was an ok experience but I would not pay the full £25 or £30 price this experience cost I believe it’s a bit overpriced.
The "treatment" was in a plain and simple room just off the reception. Basically, you just sit over a tank and dangle your feet in the water. So take something to read. The receptionist was very welcoming and pleasant and brought me a drink. This was in contrast to whoever took my booking on the phone, who tried to get me to e mail a copy of my Wahanda voucher over, only backing down when I said that was an unprecedented request that I had not experienced on any of my numerous other Wahanda bookings. It was tickly. It was fun. Something that you have to try once. Here's as good as anywhere with a special offer available, otherwise you might find it cheaper in Camden Market or somewhere else.
Lovely facilities and a relaxed environment perfect for a spot of people watching!
The staff are friendly and happy to chat about the fish pedicure expleaining where the fish are bread etc.
Initially a very strange experience but my feet have been lovely since so I will definatly be returning soon!
Have reccomended to friends and family that live in Brighton and would book in visitors to the city for a treat!
I went with my friend on the deluxe package, we got an offer for 2-4-1. We were running a little late, but that was not a problem. This was my first fish pedicure so I was a little worried, but the staff were very welcoming and explained the process. First they clean your feet of any products which could affect the fish, then you put your feet in and the fish start nibbling. The fish have no teeth and its quite tickilish, my friend has a bit of a fish phobia, but after the first 10 minutes she was quite happy to look at the fish, I think the champagne helped. After the 30 mins we had a foot massage and chose our polish colour. It was very relaxing. I will go back and try the fish manicure. There seemed to be a steady flow of customers. When we were leaving the maanger told us that there will be more treatments added as they own the 2 floors above.
Appearance
The salon (not spa) itself is ok, the décor is nice and its clean. The attention to detail however was lacking, a dirty towel here, old slipper there, It is these small things which make a difference.
Staff
There were 4 staff which I encountered during our visit, a European man, who greeted us, took our coats and was very polite and accommodating, offered us water and asked how our treatment was.. A girl who was on trial and leaving after her shift; I know she was on trial as she had a lengthy discussion with an Asian man (one of the managers I believe) at the reception desk, all of which was over heard. An Asian man (manager I believe) and girl therapist. These last two sat or should I say lounged at the reception area, one at the reception desk openly on face book, and the girl therapist on the guest waiting seats discussing their personal lives and ignoring the clients. This I found to be exceptionally unprofessional. I am there paying for a treatment and to be pampered, I do not want to hear two members of staff one supposedly senior, discussing hours, whose working when, each other family and I certainly do not wish to see you on facebook. Any good salon should know, any good any establishment that is client facing should know you do not have personal or work personnel related conversations in front of paying clients.
Post treatment whilst our feet were dried by the therapist, it would have liked towel to finish drying my feet.
As we left we were given a loyalty card, loyalty cards are always a good idea but after this experience unless they train their management and staff, we will not be going back.
It was a fun experience with two friends, one of whom was really nervous at the thought of the little fishes on her feet. The therapist, Karen, did her upmost to make her at ease. In the end she also enjoyed it. Very good value for money. Would visit again.
Never had it before but heard great things ! It was a freezing cold evening and I was expecting a shop but it was open on both sides and no facilites to wash hands, go to the loo or pre treat feet before poping them in. I had to keep my coat on as I was frozen. The experience was great with the fish although i do not believe that the water temperature was 28C !! It did leave my feet so soft and I was happy with it. There was no heating in the shop so drying my feet with a small towel before putting my shoes on was not pleasant. I think its a great venue for the summer but still feel there should be a hand basin as a minimum. I will have a fish experience again but .... in a shop.
I found this place as it was recomended by a friend of mine and may I say its prob one of the best "pick me up salon" me and a few friends were heading into town that night and decided to get oyr nails done last min, we did not have a appointment but they managed to squeeze us in, we all had a quick fish pedi and got our nails polished, girls are fantasticn friendly and professional! Was a lovely vibe in the salon, all the best colors and we even all had a glass of wine each!
A must go!!! I'v already booked my next infill! :) opps forgot to mention they give loyalty cards! Amazing!
The Camden market venue isn't private at all and as it's outdoors located within the actual markets, therefore it's freezing to have it done in the middle of January but it was cool to be able to take photos and nosy people/tourists looking in also enjoyed the experience. The guy running the place was very laid back and chatty. It's a bit freaky when you initially put your feet in the water as all the fish just go for it on your feet like piranha, but after a couple of minutes you settle into it and there's a tingling sensation with a slight vibration. Apparently the fish don't like moisturisers or scents like nicotine etc..but there were a lot of people putting fingers in the water which you're not supposed to do. They really need to put signs up to say this.
I had a 1/2 hour treatment which I definitely noticed the difference. I got my voucher for £9 and used a £5 promo code so a good purchase considering it is £18 for 1/2 hr treatment. A lot of fun and something everyone needs to do.....even if just once!
Good fun but the room is quite cold so it is dificult to relax. There are usually queues at the weekend so make sure you are happy to stand in the cold! The fish were great though - it's such a strange sensation but definitely worthwile, especially for the price Zoola Fish offer.
Had a fish pedicure, the staff talked amounst themselves as though we weren't there, one even walked past us with a packet of cigarettes clearly in her hand. The facilities and the overall experience was ok, would have expected more interaction from the staff though since we had payed £50 in total to go sit there!!
This new spa in Clapham is lovely, and the staff are very professional. I was a bit squemish at first, but after a few minutes, and a few sips of champagne...the deluxe piscean pedicure turned out to be a great experience. I would definitely recommend trying this at least once!
It was good to try however, the fish are not as good as those that are used in the likes of Cambodia. These little fellas are very gentle and not hungry enough.
I bought two sessions for my sisters' christmas presents this year and went along with them today with my parents. Was a fun and surprisingly effective pedicure and it was enjoyable for us as spectators too! Both sisters were pleased with the results and I will definately book myself a session at some point too!
This is a fun experience. Yes you will be a tourist attraction and people will take photos of you having your feet sucked by litle fish; some of the lensfolk will even ask if they can do it! Your feet will feel nice and smooth afterwards and overall it's enjoyabe.
Not the most comfortable thing to do in cold January....but not as cold as I worried it would be. The treatment itself is quite pleasant and relaxing and certainly full of novelty factor. Warning: do not do this if you don't like being stared at / asked every 10 secs about it / having your photo taken without permission etc etc - its an open stall with passing traffic on two sides and loads of people stop and stare. I won't be going there again for that reason.
Worth a try – fish are very busy and cute, less ticklish than anticipated (more like feeling seaweed on your feet than having them chewed). But nowhere near as efficient as a human pedi, which is more expensive but better all-round value. Had to take a foot file to my feet afterwards. Black mark: we booked as a group of three and were put in two separate sections of the spa.
I went with my Mum and brother and we had a good giggle, but the treatment was pretty ineffective as a pedicure. The fish didn't really nibble; Zoola had been very busy that day, so as a result the fish weren't hungry! I would try and go during the week, or if you are going at the weekend, then try and go in the morning.
Very friendly family business with a professional manner. Some spars can feel a bit intimidating to walk into (If you’re not the frequenting type), but the atmosphere was relaxed- and I suppose the thing I was most worried about is the quality of life of my therapists (the fish) but they all were happy and healthy and a lot of research had clearly gone in to their living conditions.
Really enjoyed it and can’t wait to take some girls up if anyone is brave enough for the fish! (I managed to relax very quickly and I’m very ticklish!)
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and I received both a cup of tea and a glass of bubbly as part of the deal. The pedicure was brilliant - removed all the dead skin from my feet that has been there for years. They recommend a course of 4 so I'll be going again.
I went for a fish pedicure with a mobdeal voucher towards the end of last year.
All in all, it was fine.
The 'salons' are pretty basic and the constant stream of gawping/pointing/gasping bystanders is, though mildly amusing at first, pretty irksome after a while.
The people who booked me in were really nice but I wasn't asked if I had athlete's foot or anything like that (I don't), which I thought would be an important question seeing as there was just one big shared tank.
The 'pedicure' itself was fine. Having the fish on your feet is a strange feeling, but you get used to it.
I think it's a treatment that probably does really work but you'd need to have longer, regular treatments.
All in all, it wasn't a total waste of money. But I don't think I'd go again unless I wanted to invest in a course of treatments.
I visited this spa before Christmas with a friend for a Girls' day out and to try out the fish pedicure out of curiosity. I was not sure that I would enjoy this but after getting used to the gentle bubbly sensation of the fish attending to my feet - I really did enjoy this! My feet were smoother and we both had a very enjoyable visit. I also had the rapide (30 mins) manicure which was great. The varnish lasted for nearly 2 weeks. My friend had the express facial (30 mins) and wished she had gone for a longer session - she thought it was worth every moment and great value. The staff and Ben, the owner, were very helpful, chatty and happy to answer constant questions about the fish, how they are looked after etc. I look forward to my next visit.
I have read about fishpedicure a while ago (and also recently seen it on Channel 5) and despite being worried would find it too ticklish for my feet I discovered this poorly named salon and gave i a go.
Compared to the ambience presented in their website the salon was much lower grade and staff was rude...I like the bubbly sensation of the fish treatment and my feet were left smooth and clean - I would do the treatment again but definiely not at Fab.
After the disappointment I went to Zoola fish and had the same standard of treatment for a much lower price - and their staff are friendly and enthusiastic!
I had my first Fish pedicure and it was an incredible experience. My friends had tried a Fish pedicure in Kensington and said it was ok but there was not too many fish and that they were concerned with how clean the water is.
At Fab spa the owner showed me that he had a full-on filtration system in his basement and apparently its the only fish spa with one in London.
The place was so nice that I came back and tried their facials and pedicures and all were fantastic!
Was really looking forward to this treatment and it didn't disappoint. It felt a little like mild pins and needles when the fish were nibbling. I can say that although it didn't leave my feet totally smooth, the soles of my feet felt lovely and spongy after and I would certainly consider having another fish pedicure, many thanks.
I was terrifed of these little fish, but once I managed to calm myself down, it wasn't that bad. I went for the 30 min treatment and it tickled a lot, so it you can't handle that kind of sensation I would sugguest the 15 min treatment. I could definately feel the difference, my feet felt as soft as silk. Worth a try.
I had bought this hoping to go for a Fish Pedicure. Not being familiar with Camden market or the area, I had tried to call the shop and also e-mailed them. But to no avail.I never received an answer to my e-mail asking them where in Camden they were and their wbesite did also not help me. Hence I have not used my voucher and it has now expired. Quite a disappointment. One would hope that Wahanda would have "reputable" places on their website.
I went with my boyfriend and at first we were a little scared of what would happen as I've never had anything like this done before. However the staff made me feel right at home, the actual pedicure although daunting was really good, it felt very ticklish but after you get over the fish was very fun and leaves your feet so soft. Would definately reccommend!!
Fun, silly thing to do when visiting Camden. Feet definitely felt softer but it was more the novelty of it that was enjoyable. It was a cold day but the venue was suitably warm as was the water the fish are kept in. Fun treat for friend or loved one.
I have just come back from this spa with my mum and I have a phobia of feet and people touching my feet the fish tank experience was very tickly and uncomfortable at first but then you get use to it. The massage and paint was lovely especially seen as I had made it very clear I was uncomfortable with people handling my feet.
The therapists that treated me and my mum went out of their way to make us feel pampered, relaxed and comfortable. I would defiantly recommend this spa, staff are top quality very polite, helpful and chatty lovely place lovely staff great value for money xxx
This is definitely one for a warm afternoon spur of the moment giggle. There is absolutely no comfort in this experience and we never even got to take our coats off. This very basic unit within the market offers no more than a 'whip your shoes and socks off' and sit on a wooden seat with your feet dangling in a tank of tepid water for half an hour - even the fish couldn't be bothered to show any enthusiasm!
I have tried this treatment before whilst aboard on holiday so knew what to expect. This did not meet with any of our expectations, so in my opinion you should visit this venue first before parting with your hard earned cash.
What a fantastic experience. The therapist was excellent and took her time to explain the process to me and pass on her knowledge of the fish. The clinic has only recently opened and based on my experience deserves success. The therapist remained calm despite my anxiety around putting my feet in the water at first. After 5 minutes I could even look at the fish on my feet.
What a fantastic experience. The therapist was most welcoming and took time to explain the process and all about the "fish". The clinic has only recently opened but will surely be a success. The therapist was shocked that I hadn't told my wife what was in store!
I've had a fish pedicure before, but was intrigued by the fact this was in the middle of a market so bought the Wahanda mobdeal.
The venue was a little hard to find (or I got lost amongst the stalls anyway). Previous fish pedicures have felt more like a "treatment" experience, so I found it a little surreal sitting in a fairly open stall/tent whilst people walked past (often commenting loudly on how bizarre they found the concept, et al). The treatment itself was fine though, so the fish mustn't be bothered by the comments ;)
Not bad for the price, however the atmosphere killed it slightly for me (possibly because one of the other customers decided he needed to have a cigarette as he started his treatment - although he was sitting by the entrance and tried to direct the smoke away from the interior, I basically just smelled smoke from that point onwards so that killed any ambience/possible relaxation for me)
Brilliant venue, free parking. I was a bit apprehensive when I first received my gift voucher as a present, but once I met Nadine the owner of Snappy Soles she made me and my group feel at ease with her in-depth knowledge of these crazy little fish.
We all loved every minute of this experience and will definitely be back..
Thank you Snappy Soles
It was hard to find as we were looking for a shop but it is actually in the market. The tanks were slightly warm and we had 15mins with the fish. I was a good experience with a group of friend and we all enjoyed it and had a laugh. Definatly worth a try!
I gave my friend a voucher for the treatment and she just loved the gift. We both went to the treatment and loved every minute of it. I shall be going back again.
An unusual experience with a slightly buzzing feeling but my feet did feel softer afterwards. The Camden market venue isn't private at all and as it's outdoors, it's freezing to have it done in November (as I did!) but it was cool to be able to take photos and nosy people/tourists looking in also enjoyed the experience. Overall a novelty treatment with a great result!
This is a new salon and I loved it, the fish ped was ace and my spray tan was probably the best I have ever had!
Fish Pedicures are brilliant, especially at this georgeous salon!!!
I was a bit sceptical about havig a fish pedicure, but as soon as my feet came out of the tank, they were soft and all the dead skin had been removed. It was a relaxing treatment and I would definately go to this salon again, as the staff were very friendly and they have an extensive treatment range.
This was a 'I'll try it for a laugh' experience, because I honestly didn't expect feet nibbling fish to give a proper pedicure, so my expectations weren't high. The treatment consists of putting your bare feet in a fish tank about 3ft x3ft, while sitting on a cushioned seat. Your feet are immediately and continuously nibbled by scores of tiny carp-related fish, ostensibly ridding your feet of hard skin. The tanks are in sets of four, so you are sitting with up to three others, great fun for a gal's day out. I went with my seven-year old,who wasn't having the treatment, but oooh'd and ahh'd appropriately at the sight of fish eating peoples tootsies. The fifteen minutes passed quickly (staff set a timer as soon as you get in) and, as expected, there wasn't a great deal of difference done to my feet. But I enjoyed it as a novelty experience.
I popped in the other day with my friend and I must say this place salon is very lovely and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the minute we got in. I had the fish pedicure and facial done, the fish pedicure i must say was a very weird feeling but that was because I'm very ticklish. The facial was amazing! I pretty much fell asleep through most of it! My friend got a manicure and fish pedicure and said they were both great and she felt really good after. They used OPI nail polishes on us I saw they also have Essie, Dior and some other brands i didnt catch the names of. They salon is very clean they clean the nail tools and equipment straight after they were done with our treatments. They changed the water when i was having my facial..THANK GOD! As some other places i've been to wipe my face with cold water.. Me and my friend left really happy and would deffinately go back again as the staff are so friendly. I recommend people to go visit and get some treatments done! :D
went with some friends out of curiousity to find out if the fish spa was really as good as some people say it was. it was a quite fun experience, although i wasnt sure whether the fish spa being open in the middle of camden lock market is a good idea as you get a lot of tourists and people walking by stare at you and take photos of you whilst you are trying to enjoy the fish biting of the dead skin off your feet (no it doesnt hurt, its jus ticklish)
overall it was still fun as we went in a group :D
I went with my daughter. we were shopping and spotted this so decided to give it a try. I had read about these special fish and thought it was very different. they don'y nibble hard skin just dead skin but my feet did feel good afterwards. My legs started to feel a bit numb after a while as you sit perched on a very high unit and I only have short legs so be warned, I would have preferred to sit on a chair.
A completely different experience and it was great! The place was good and I thought it was amazing value for what it was. Would be good for a gift, or just a quick treat for you.
I was excited about going for this fish pedicure as I had planned to have one as soon as I'd heard about this treatment as it really appealed to me.
The venue was a unique one in the stables at Camden Market, which just added to the fun of it for me as we were able to have the treatment and watch the world go by at the same time.
At first the sensation took some getting used to but after a while you began to forget the fish were even there and I was hesitant about the result at the end as I found it hard to believe that it would make such an impact on my feet. When I removed my feet from the tank and dried them off I was amazed at the result. I hadn't even had a full session, more of a mini session and it had made a massive difference, therefore a full 30 minutes would have fabulous results.
I will definitely go back and have another as soon as I have the opportunity and can highly recommend it.
It was the first time I'd ever experienced a fish pedicure. We went as a group of girls and prepared to be nibbled at! At first the sensation is very strange but hold on in there! I found if I didn't watch the fish and relaxed it was really nice and my feet have never been smoother. Definitely one to try with your friends! Thank you to Zoola Fish for making it a great experience all round!
I decided to try this out as I'd been to Thailand earlier in the year and had seen this but didn't get round to trying it.
After seeing fish pedicures promoted around London I decided to give it a go, especially as I thought the price was pretty good.
When we finally found the location (it was hidden away in Camden market), we queued for a few minutes and the lady who was organising the pedicures was polite and gave us a towel to clean our feet with.
You then sit on a bench and dip your feet into a pool full of tiny fish. The 'pedicure' itself is pleseant - a little tickly at first but it just feels like a jacuzzi bath really.
I think you'd benefit most with as few people dipping their feet in as possible, as naturally the more feet there are to nibble the less you get out of it.
The only downside was the hoards of tourists taking photos and asking you how it felt...very distracting and almost embarrassing!
I only did the 15minute session. I came out of it and yes my feet felt soft, but nothing more than sitting them in the bath for 10mins would. A good pummice would've done a better (and cheaper job).
I'd defintiely recommend this for the novelty factor to try out, but I don't think I'll be going back.
It was a strange having fish nibble at my feet, however I noticed a difference in the way my feet felt they were really soft afterwards.
I would go back as the place is within a market which made the experiance more of a day thing other than a treatment. I think the fact a group of us went and all had the pedicure together worked really well. I would reccomend it.
We had a great experience, certainly would make an excellent, different, Christmas or birthday present. It was totally painless and mildly ticklish. I would recommend it to anyone that asked me about it.
ace! this is a great idea for an unusual day of 'pampering' in london town! it's not a shop as i imagined but a stall in and amongst the bustling crowds. weird and wonderful experience.
This was basically a market stall with six tubs where people could sit opposite each other and have feet 'treated' whilst passer-bys could look in. And they certainly did! It was very interesting to watch, though the girl opposite was squealing annoyingly- so don't expect a private booth. Would recommend for all to try at least once.
Really great experience. Although it was tricky to find as it is hid away in the middle of Stables Market, it was worth perservering to find it. The man who runs Wonda FIsh was very friendly (and good looking!) ... the atmosphere was great. The facilities were simple but provided everything needed to make it a brilliant experience. I'd definitely recommend it. It was also good to hear that they are also opening a place at Westfield - hurray!
This felt like a gentle vibrating massage, similar to the sensation of an electric foot spa. It was really pleasant & relaxing & I enjoyed looking @ the fish. My feet felt smoother & softer afterwards, but not all of the dead / hard skin was removed from my heels, so maybe I needed more than 30 minutes! I would definitely have this Fish Pedicure done again & would recommend it to other people.
Lots of fun... went on my own just to try out the experience. The guy running the place was friendly, chatty and helpful. The ambience isn't huge; but then, it's a room with 2 fish tanks that you put your feet into; you're so busy watching the fish that you don't take too much notice of what else is there (would have been nice to have somewhere to hang my coat, though). A really fun experience though (feels like spa bubbles on your feet), and my feet were definitely softer than when I went in (though of course they don't get into the really hard skin the way a pumice stone can).
Loved the whole experience - was very unique. It's not a pedicure in the traditional sense of having someone pretty-fy your nails afterwards so maybe make a girlie afternoon of it and go on somewhere else for the painting. Staff were lovely and after the initial squeals it was very enjoyable.
Was pleasantly surprised. Slightly apprehensive at first but then you get used to the fish and it just feels like your feet are in a foot spa. Was told that they constantly filter the water so no worries about hygiene. If your feet need a lot of "work" - as mine did, you would need more than one treatment. My feet were lovely and soft after but i did feel a proper pedicure afterwards would benefit even more
Bit of a novelty so defo worth doing once.
Weird sensation, surrounding not relaxing though as in shop front
Perhaps worth doing in a group as funny to watch peoples reactions!!
This treatment intrigued me more than anything else. I felt very embarrassed at it being out in the open and sharing a tank with 3 other people and God knows who else had put their feet in prior to me. It didn't feel very clean and I didn't like feeling like an animal in the zoo-being gawped at was not at all comfortable. I doubt I would pay more than a tenner for this treatment.
An interesting experience, though being out in the open where the public can see you, i didn't find very relaxing. A good present for someone, but i wouldn't have this done here again.
It was a great experience, the only thing that was a bit off putting was how exposed the venue was - you felt a bit like you were on show and people kept stopping and taking pictures which slightly took away from the relaxation!
the voucher can only be used monday - friday which makes it a nightmare ttrying to find time to get there. Camden is a fun day out - although im not sure i would pay the full price for the fish pedicure.
Very odd treatment. Wholly worth novelty value and feet did feel smoother afterwards. Rather odd set-up, not wholly comfortable bench, and strange having a crowd watching. Overall though found it brilliant and would recommend, especially with Wahanda discount.
The experience was fun but mainly due to the novelty value and the fact that it's quite a nice feeling.
I didn't expect the venue to be quite so basic or that I'd have to share the tank with three other people - the result of that is that you may end up with very few fish as they tend to gravitate towards the feet most in need of treatment.
Also, the place has a bit of a zoo feel to it due to the large number of passers-by who stop and often take photos.
The lady working there was very friendly and knowledgable about the fish.
Did it make a big difference to my feet? Not really but maybe it takes more than one visit.
One final note, I went on a warm summer day but I imagine it must be absolutely freezing in winter.
The fish pedicure was lovely. Lots of little fish nibbling the dead skin on your feet (I know - eugh - but it wasn't). It tickled lots and my feet felt nice and soft afterwards. The girl in charge was very knowledgeable about the fish and the business in general. I would this treatment recommend to others.
I was worried what the experience may be like & that I may not enjoy the sensation, but I should not have worried as it was great. Would recommend to others
I heard about this and was really interested in trying it. The actual place was hard to locate. It consisted of a market stall with two benches on each end with three tubs on either side facing each other, so quite a basic setting. It was certainly a talking point as passers by stopped to look and talk to us. The pedicure felt like vibrations around the feet. It certainly wasn't unpleasant, although the woman opposite me was squealing unnecessarily. Anyway, I would recommend to friends to have a go. It won't remove all your dead skin, so if you are looking for a more traditional pedicure, go to a salon.
I was dreading this, as I am very squeamish, but with the company of a friend who was quite excited about trying this, I had to go. Location was in the middle of the market, so passers-by would stand and watch, so felt a bit like we were the attractions at a zoo! Anyway, hated it at first, but as I said, I'm squeamish. It's not an uncomfortable experience at all, just the thought of fish sucking away at my dead skin was a bit off-putting. Still, I lasted the half hour and am glad I tried it.
Arrived at Camden station, armed with a map to find the place. However, this did not prove to be useful as we ended up walking around in circles, trying to find this place, and many stallholders didn't know of it- 1 even told us it had closed down for refurbishment! Anyway, was about to give up looking when I asked a girl from the Chinese food stall who gave me the most accurate directions. Due to the little trek, we were late, as the stall should have been closing, but the stallholder very kindly let us have our appointment. My friend was very apprehensive about having fish touch her feet, but it was a very interesting experience. If you got over the fact that it was little fish (big deal) it was a pleasant experience. It felt ticklish at first and then relaxed into little vibrations, very similar to if you had your feet in a home foot spa.
The therapists, I have to mention, did not remove all of my dead skin, but for the novelty factor I would have to recommend to try it. The location was an open stall in the market, so passers-by were very interested and wanted to take pictures and gathered around- so be prepared you may have an audience!
I went as a group with some girlfriends as part of a girlie day. It was lots of fun, there was lots of gigging as the fish tickled our feet, and the lady who supervised couldn't have been nicer. After about 10 minutes you do get used to the feeling (it's a bit like lots of bubbles!), and our feet were soft afterwards. I think it would take a few goes to get rid of the dead skin that has built up after a summer of wearing flip flops, but it was certainly an experience!
The overall experience was good as it was something I'd never done before but I didn't really notice any effect on my feet afterwards. The fish nibbleing at your feet felt really tickly and it took about ten minutes to get used to the sensation which became a bit like pins and needles.
An interesting experience.
Not a full pedicure as no work done on nails.
Experience takes place in full view of passing public.
Very fun experience.
Take with something to read if doing 30 mins.
It was extremely hard to find the Wonda Fish stall. The first time I tried, I got there too late in the day for a treatment. The facilities are extemely basic. It's not a pampering experience. But it could almost be described as fun. The attendant gives you a moist towel for washing your feet. You take your shoes up and roll up our trousers or hitch up your skirt and sit on a bench with your feet in a tub of water populated a tons of little fish. The little fish swarm around your feet and ankles, and nibble of dead skin. A gentle and extremely effective exfoliation treatment. At the end of the alloted time (in my case, 30 minutes), the attendant gives you another dry towel and off you go. There are two tubs of fish, and bench space for four customers on each one. As you sit there, you inevitably exchange comments about the experience with the other customers, and also with the crowds of passers-by who wonder what it feels like. Great if you want very smooth feet!
I had a £5 discount voucher for this fish pedicure, which meant it was incredibly good value. The venue is in The Stables Market in Camden, and it is in one of the units in the market which means that you end up being somewhat of a tourist attraction - visitors to the market tend to stop and crowd round to see what's going on, so it's not a very private experience.
You put your feet in a tank with other customers and the fish instantly get to work nibbling at your feet. I don't think that they made much of a difference to the hard skin on my feet, but it was a very nice sensation (a bit like pins and needles) and my feet were definitely tingling for several hours afterwards.
This is my new favourite place, my feet feel as soft as a new born baby's now. It was easy to park near by and the staff were lovely. They even sell gift vouchers.
After having this treatment I now know how zoo animals feel being stared at all day! Because the treatment takes place in full view of everyone, and at the front of the stall expect to be the centre of attention with a lot of people asking how the treatment feels, as well as a few more disparaging remarks from unenlightened people about piranhas and the fact you will have no feet left after they have finished. If I had charged 50 pence for each time someone took a photo of my feet covered in fish I would have got my treatment for free and made a profit. I was a little disappointed to find that 4 people share the same water bath and fish rather than a segment with your own share of the fish.
The treatment itself felt strange to begin with then after a while it was like you were sitting with your feet in champagne with all the bubbles bursting on your feet. I am very ticklish and so every so often they feeling did make me giggle, especially when trying to wriggle between my toes, which made me move my feet causing the fish to disperse then as soon as my feet were still the fish came back. I think I would have to go for many more of these treatments before I noticed a significant difference to the amount of hard skin on my feet.
The owner of the stall though did seem more preoccupied talking to his friends than talking to the general public so my friend and I were answering a lot of questions about the fish and what it felt like, and even had to attract his attention when another person we had been talking to wanted the treatment.
I went along to this pedicure without knowing what to expect, and feeling nervous about the thought of 100+ fish going at my feet. As weird as it was at first, I found the whole experience was very relaxing and to my surprise, most of my hard skin under my feet had vanished!
The minute I arrived, I was instantly put at ease by a very helpful man called James, who explained what was going to happen, and assured me that I wasn't going to get my feet eaten off! I watched over 100 gara rufa fish happily suck away at my hard skin (they were more than welcome to it!) and after 5 minutes, the feeling went from weird to strangely calming - even watching them go at my feet was very relaxing. After my half an hour in the tank, my feet were much smoother than when they entered, and my cracked heel had been smoothen over - something my normal foot file couldn't do!
Weird as this treatment is, it certainly is very inventive. I was so impressed with the venue and the treatment that I'm already planning my next trip!
