I went for a reflexology treatment followed by cupping.
The rooms/beds were quite basic/small. It was the first time I'd been into a sort of 'Chinese Medicine' place - perhaps they are generally more about the treatment itself than providing an aesthetically pleasing/relaxing environment.
The reflexology was more of a deep pressure foot massage, which sometimes was actually quite painful. However, afterwards, I did feel good, so I think it was effective.
Then there was cupping with some back massage, which I thought was good.

The massage was excellent but the cupping was awful! I was left with actual burns on my skin...the therapist left the room and I believe left the suction glass cups on too long because they were starting to heat up to the point of being painful.

I've had this done before so I'm aware that you have big round circles on your back but these were definitely burns.

I will never go back to this place again.

I went to ENC with an open mind having read some of the previous reviews. I wasn't expecting much but I was very plesantly surprised.

I was greeted warmly by a young man in reception area, filled out a short questionairre about areas that I was having discomfort with...namely my neck and shoulders. I paid the extra £10 to have the therapeutic massage, I was pleased I did.

My therapist, Jessica was very friendly, I was surprised at the pressure she could apply for being such a petite lady. She paid special attention to my neck and shoulders.

The cupping session focused mainly on my shoulder area, the point of cupping is to stimulate blood flow to areas of the body that may have blockages. The darker the area after cupping the more benifical. The right side of my neck has been a problem for some time, when the cup was removed from that area it was far darker than the left hand side.

Afterwards I was given a free consultation on what would be benifical. I didn't feel like I was being forced to buy this or do that. I found the older man very friendly not at all pushy. He suggested that I would benifit from acupuncture to help with stress, something that I had been thinking about trying.

The facilities are basic but it was clean and not too noisey. Some reviewers have said that it was noise, perhaps its more busy at the weekend?

I did enjoy my treatments at Eastern Natural Care, though I did think the therapist was a little rough on the reflexology. The cupping was weird and im not sure what the benefit was supposed to be afterwards? There wasnt much privacy and the noise wasnt blocked out as you were just behind a curtain so that was quite distracting. After my treatment they gave me a free consultantion which to be honest I found a little offensive - they tried to tell me I looked 50 (despite being under 30!) because I dark cicles under my eyes - which by the way I dont (well no more than the next person). I think they just wanted to make me buy another treatment with them...not the best approach to take.

I think it is your standard Chinese treatment centre. The customer service was not great and they had poor english skills.

My voucher said I had a choice of 1 hour massage and a 20 minute hot cupping treatment. But my whole experience was under the hour. On arrival I was told that if I wanted a treatment massage then the voucher wouldn't cover it. I said I was happy with an aromatherapy massage. The massage itself was great but the only oil used was baby oil so no gorgeous smell as I was expecting. Throughout my massage I could hear a conversation going on next door with another client which could only be described as hard sell. This made it difficult for me to totally relax. As I have said the young girl who did the massage was very thorough and I did enjoy it. The cupping was meant to last 15/20 minutes but wasn't even 10. On leaving the man in charge tried to get me to stay and talk about my neck problems (which i dont really have just a bit stiff). I didn't feel any different the next day so was disappointed. Wouldnt go again I'm afraid.

I have had plenty of deep tissue massages before, and this one was very good. However, I did NOT appreciate the guy at the desk telling me I had to pay an additional £10 for the deep tissue, on top of what I had already paid on my Wahanda coupon (which only qualified me for the basic one). I decided to go ahead, and I am not sorry I did.

However - and this is my gripe - at the end of the massage the original guy comes in an plays around with my neck for ten seconds then has the audacity to tell me I have something wrong with my spine (I don't). I declined the free consultation at the end because I know he would try and sell me unnecessary treatment. One thing businesses like this must realise is that the customer is not stupid. Go for the massage by all means, but don't fall for all the other nonsense.

Well, what can I say? I was in the area on my travels and I had been recommended by a friend who lives nearby. I love getting treatments done and I am really fussy when it comes to the treatment and the service provided. Too many times I have left a treatment feeling really disappointed. Well not when I went to see Ann. I was welcomed into the salon and instantly felt at ease and this first class service was carried out throughout the time I was in for my treatment. MY only complaint - I don't live close enough to go regularly! Will definitely return when I am next in the area. Thank you, Ann!!

This is a small place in covent garden. It is not the kind of luxury place you can really relax in. The facilities were limited and it really felt like their main purpose was to make you come again by telling you that you had lots of tension in your body and it is beneficial to come at least once a fortnight. The tissue massage was good and so was the cupping experience. I was just a little alarmed with the advice they gave afterwards as both therapists contradicted each other making me feel like they just wanted me to come back again so they could make more money. If you do go, it's a good deal, but i wouldn't recommend paying full price for it.

This was a very nice, relaxing massage. The cupping felt a little strange when the cups were slapped onto my back, but not unpleasant. The treatment room doesn't have the most luxurious ambience, but once you're enjoying the treatment you don't really notice. Recommended.

I upgraded to a deep tissue massage and it was wonderful. Every knot was hammered out of my shoulders and neck and the hour passed very quickly. So much so that I fell asleep during the cupping part. I'm not sure what the cupping is supposed to do but it felt nice.

I loved that she had candles burning, she had some wonderful scents going, and I found the whole experience calming and settling..
I came in for a Swedish massage, and was surprised when Ann recommended Cupping for my stiff shoulders. I had never had this before, and was intrigued. She explained that the cups would perform more work in the time available than she could - and it meant she could spend more time on the rest of me.
At the end, my shoulders were 'mine' again (no clicking and stiffness), and I had been to sleep for a while... despite the pressure of the massage! (I always ask for firm)

I asked for a relaxing massage and to be totally honest it was a bit heavy handed! I guess it was a full blown chinese sports type of massage? which was actually quite painfull at times and not as relaxing as I was hoping for.
At the end I was given a 'free' consultation by the 'doctor' in which I was told that I apparently have problems with my back but surprise surprise for £50 he could fix it by giving me an additional special type of massage. When I refused, the price was lowered to £40 due to it, in his words, being a christmas discount?! and then when I declined that I was told if I book at a later date he would give me a good price. The massage wasnt terrible but I didnt like the fact that at the end your pressured into spending more money.

I have experienced Hot Cupping for the first time @ Eastern Natural Care and together with the massage I've had before the cupping treatment, I must say it was one of the best experiences I've had in my life!!! I felt like 10kg was taken out of my back and nearly felt like I could fly. So relaxed afterwards and so much more healthy. Loved it!!!

The venue is easy to find but quite grotty inside. I was aware from reading reviews that i'd be asked to pay £10 extra to upgrade to a deep tissue massage. The doctor guy recommended this as he said i was stressed even though i'd written on my form that i didn't have a problem with stress.
I was surprised that the therapist used baby oil for the massage and not massage oil. The therapist spent a while on my back then gave me rather a long head massage. As i'd paid the extra for the deep tissue massage i was rather disappointed. I was then left alone for a while and the original doctor guy came and applied the hot cups.the cupping treatment was alright.
However after the treatment was finished i was taken upstairs where the doctor guy proceeded to tell my my body was a disaster he drew a strange diagram to show all this. He then said if i paid £30 more then he would be able to fix it. i made my excuses and left
Overall i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I all felt like they were trying to get more money out of me.

The approach to Violet is very serene, it's nestled beside the small park Violet Hill Gardens on Violet Hill. I knew the road from Coldplay's song Violet Hill which is a protest song inspired by John Lennon and named after Abbey Road studios round the corner. True fact.

On arrival to Violet clinic though, the music is less rock and more panpipe ambient zen. Upon arrival to the oasis of calm I was given green tea and taken to the therapy room.

The couple that run the clinic know their stuff and are passionate about doing things properly. The bespoke treatment i had was the most 'bespoke' I've ever had. Based on my back pain, muscle tightness and other factors I received a reiki/cupping/reflexology blend that incorporated deep tissue, Thai and Swedish massage techniques.

I felt properly relaxed afterwards and thoroughly recommend visiting.

background music was relaxing, but the mood was broken when the therapist's phone went off, then later on she coughed over my head! I have read previous comments about the use of baby oil and not massage oils, that was my experience also. I had not had cupping before, that was ok, as my back had been a little tight from tennis, however, I too got the sales pitch at the end as others also have commented on. I will not be back

It’s not an upmarket venue and the interior certainly could use a revamp. It was my first hot cupping - a little sore afterwards but the swelling/marks disappeared by the next day. The massage was pretty thorough, certainly no complaints. The downside was the hard sale tactic that followed, I was kept for ages following the treatment and somewhat put under pressure to take out various courses of further treatment. Some I knew I didn’t need because I had just had my posture assessed for example as part of a recent full heath assessment, plus various other conditions that I knew for certain I wasn’t suffering from! But you need to understand that they depend on returning customers as it appeared to be a small family business.

The venue was very easy to find, off Neal Street in Covent Garden.

The premises are clean and tidy. I was greeted by the most softly spoken young man who gave me a basic questionnaire asking what "problems" I might be experiencing. I didn't think I had any, but was encouraged to recall some minor issues. As others have mentioned, I was given the opportunity to upgrade my massage to a deep tissue massage for £10 more, but opted out. I was not up for pain that day! I was offered water, the use of the loo (basic, but clean) and then taken downstairs to the treatment room.

The venue is small but seems to pack quite a few treatment rooms into the downstairs space. I was taken to an end room which was clean and warm. There was no more than a kitchen screen separating you from the main hallway, and I wonder if there were walls between the other rooms or similar screens. There were no other treatments taking place at the time I had my appointment, but I should think that I would have been able to hear any noise from other rooms.

The massage table was comfortable -the type with a hole for your face, (with a view of someone's chewing gum) but I was uncovered throughout the massage - I would have appreciated a towel. I remained on my front throughout. The therapist used baby oil, which I found a little odd - I didn't bring it up, but we had a brief discussion about the merits of natural oils over mineral oils (apparently a client had told her that baby oil was made of petrol...) The massage was a pleasant rub. There was some mild "ju-ju" on my fingers, but otherwise the massage was nothing special. Only after the massage was I covered with a couple of towels.

I had planned to bottle out of the cupping, but it kind of happened anyway. It was carried out by "the doctor" who was very brisk and business-like about placing the cups on, after which time I was left for 10 minutes or so. It was not at all painful and I did not suffer any bruising.

I was surprised to be given a consultation with the doctor, who asked me to move my head around, and stick out my tongue after which he pronounced me a disaster. There followed a bizarre drawing session pointing out all the things that are wrong with me, incorporating all the "problems" thrown up by my questionnaire. I didn't take it personally, and fully expected him to tell me I would be cured by a few various sessions at the clinic.

I went for the experience - I wanted to try out the cupping - mission accomplished. The staff were perfectly polite and pleasant, but I would not return to this venue.

I was very happily surprised by the great experience I had at Green Remedies. As the price was so low I wasn't expecting much, but ended up having the most relaxing and enjoyable massage I have had in a very long time. The therapist was extremely professional and friendly, the facility was very clean, the towels and linens fresh out of the wash, and the essential oils they used for the treatment were of a very good quality. It was easy to get an appointment, and the therapist was very accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable. I have already made a second appointment next week at full price as it's definitely worth the money! I would recommend this place to everyone!

I booked for a relaxing massage but then I was offered a deep tissue massage with an extra £10 and have taken the offer. Massage was good although the therapist after the first 10 minutes asked me if I wanted a deep tissue massage... I said "yes" but was surprised with the question because she was told that by the receptionist before starting. So she told me I will have to pay an extra £10... and I said " I already have paid an extra £10". And then she asked how much I previously paid on the website. I thought that was inappropriate as I was trying to relax and didn't feel like talking about money...
The cupping session was different from expected. I was told that the glass cups were warmed by candles, but I found they were ice cold so I am not sure if the treatment was as should have been.
Staff was ok but maybe a little rushing. Overall experience for the money I spent was ok but wouldn't pay more than that.

The venue was quite small and hectic, so not very relaxing. The treatment was meant to be one hour massage and 20mins cupping session but it was only 40min massage and 20 min cupping. Having said that, the massage was fantastic and I could feel the benefit immediately. The cupping was diffierent, a pinching sensation which was slightly uncomfortable but didnt hurt. It was good to try the cupping but I dont think I would do it again. I was pleased to have tried this experience as a one off and the massage was good.

The man in charge was very polite took details of my existing injuries then led me to the therapist who took over. Unfortunately she spoke such poor English, understood even less, it was easier to let her do the massage her way, which unfortunately was not the right way for me. She did not seem to be aware of my injuries as there was no adjustment in her treatment over those problem areas. She did ask if I'm alright, but did not understand my question. No special oil was used, and the room was quite untidy. After the massage the cupping session was done by the man. As soon as he laid his hands on my back, you could tell he was experienced and good at his craft. He identified tightness as he massaged with the perfect pressure. Unfortunately, this lasted less than a minute as the purpose was to prepare by muscles before applying the cups. The cups were placed on my back and I was left like thar for about 15 minutes. It did feel uncomfortable and I was pleased once they were removed.

A really awful experience I would not recommend this to first time spa goers or anyone quite frankly. The gentleman on reception/practitioner was ready to squeeze as much money out of his customers where possible and wanted to charge extra for a deep massage even though I had only mentioned I had very bad tension on my shoulders. Very few contraindications of medical conditions were checked and no regard to customers needs were looked into or discussed. I decided to go for the reflexology as I really didn't want a light massage as he demonstrated on my arm for 1 hour. I was then told I would be charged extra for a deep reflexology which I insisted I did not want. The therapist did not speak English and communicated with nudging and shoving which was not at all pleasant. When I asked her simple requests such as please do use so much pressure etc she just laughed and carried on. The foot reflexology was okay but left me more tense as I did not know what to expect next as well as the therapists speaking loudly to each other through the walls. The word cupping was then announced which I was reluctant about, so she gestured she would show me but instead quickly stuck 6 cups on my back and left the room. After being in pain on my right shoulder and having to ask for some assistance she finally came back in and took them off. I expected red marks however I did not expect for my right muscle on my shoulder to swell up and be in agony. The male practitioner explained to me it was not the fault of the treatment it was my muscle and I was one in a hundred people this happens to and showed no concern while the therapist stood watching and laughing! Awful, I am not sure they should be allowed to treat anyone, quite a scary and concerning experience...

Oh dear. The massage was the most painful massage I have ever had. Without a doubt the most painful. The therapist seemed to use her knuckles and massaged my bones, rather than my muscles. It I wasn't such a tolerant person, I would have screamed out stop. But for some regrettable reason, I let her carry on for the best part of an hour. The cupping that followed was OK but it didn't seem to be down with much care. The 6 cups were placed non-symmetrically on my back, and left huge red marks which lasted for days. Afterwards, the another therapist tried to sell me acupuncture and other treatments to sort out several ailments that he and his colleagues had identified. It was a terribly painful and disappointing experience. So much for a relaxing massage!!

The place was good, the place is generally clean and welcoming.
however, the Chinese owner at first was trying to tell me to go for "DEEP TISSUE" for £10 more instead of "RELAX massage". When I said no, he then told his wife/partner that I only want a very relax massage, which is fine as that was what I wanted, however, that woman doesn't understand English at all and gave me a SUPER DEEP TISSUE massage! and my back was bruising and aching afterwards!
The cupping experience was terrible also.
The treatments together witht he consultation should last more than 1 hour 30 minutes. however, the massage only last 50 minutes (including me changing clothes) and cupping only last 10 minutes (when it should be 15-20 minutes), oh and one of the cups fell off after 2 minutes!
Overall, bad experience and I will never go back again.

The positives are - good location very close to the heart of Covent Garden and friendly staff. However, the first thing they asked was whether I would like to pay £10 extra to 'upgrade' to a deeper tissue massage. This was slightly off putting - I was not expecting a hard sell, I'd already paid what I wanted to pay for tehe treatment.
The massage was okay but I sensed that the lady did not really know what she was doing and did not use any luxury products. Also the massage bed was very uncomfortable - I had bruising on my cheeks from lying down on it!
Cupping - I would never do this again - I had terrible bruising marks on my back for a week afterwards. Although I'd seen pictures of the marks so knew what to expect, the lady did not warn me at all so I was very shocked when I looked in the mirror once home!!

reflexology was AMAZING i felt like a new person for the next week. i would defo recommend. the only thing is i would#ve liked more explanation during the treatment or a review at the end of what she found needed working on.

after i got the cuppoing from the doctor which was good, i've never had it before and wasn't sure what to expect. he put a total of 8 cups on me, some felt really good and others felt a little uncomfortable but i guess this is due to toxins and where you are holding them them most (most uncomfortable being where more toxins are) again, didn't really get an explanation.

i did however get talked into buying another treatment which in hindsight was too much to have in one night and i felt a little pressured so i'd say be strong and say no if you don't want anything else doing!

the other thing i felt a little annoying was having to travel home on the tube after the treatments (i had the treatments in covent garden and live in hackney) but this might just be me and not bother others; was not up for the busy friday night train!

hope this has been helpful! again i defo 100% recommend the reflexology!x

Mixed feelings about my massage and cupping. I really wanted to see what cupping was all about, and was underwhelmed, but then I don't really have any back problems which needs curing. I did have a great massage though, and my therapist was very sweet and efficient. The venue was grotty, which didn't make it feel like a pampering experience, and I could have done without my consultation at the end - I have never had any back problems, but of course was told that I had a spinal misalignment which was the cause of my stress and sleeplessness (neither of which I suffer from!) and a course of expensive therapy would sort me out...

The shop was easy to find, in Covent Garden. I went on a Sunday and was shown straight in even though I was about 20 mins early. The staff were very friendly (although my masseuse couldn't speak any English at all). The massage was intense but very good and afterwards a guy came along to do the cupping. I was having a shoulder problem at the time and he looked into it for me. The cupping eased it a great deal. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

The venue is just off the popular shopping street in Covent Garden and quite easy to find if you know the area.
I have opted for a deep tissue massage for which I paid extra £10.00
It was quite painful and the whole hour long was feeling like an execution..... but after the massage - it was HEAVEN! I have never felt so light, relaxed... no muscle tension... I am telling you... all pain was worth it!
The cupping session was short and I didn't feel any different with the exception of marks on my back...

The venue is small and I had trouble finding it!
However the massage was 1st class. I didn’t opt to go for the deep tissue massage and I am so glad I didn’t....as the standard massage was painful enough for me!! I had a young girl who was very good, I have never had a massage where they get on top of you before....I did wonder what was going on at that point! Would definitely go back, and am looking out for their next deal.

The staff were very helpful as I had lost my voucher and they were happy to print it off again for me.

The facilities are rather basic and there was a bit of pressure to upgrade to a more expensive massage.

I had the "aromatherapy" massage but unlike the usual aromatherapy massages, where the relevant oil is selected, this one just used a generic oil with no perfume.

The cupping left me very badly bruised but I was told this was usual.

When I arrived I was asked if I wanted to up garde for £10 to a deep tissue massage, as I had very tense shoulders I said yes.
The cupping was a new experience for me and although not uncomfortable or unpleasant has left me with deep purple circlar marks on my back.
Be warned the deep tissue massage involves a small woman walking up and down your back, buttocks and legs. There was no explaination that this is what was going to happen and I was very suprised. It is not relaxing at all and actually exrtemely painful, the therapist digging her heels and feet deep into my shoulders, back and legs.
Saying that the next day my back and shoulders have never felt so relaxed and I would consider doing it again but would be more prepared next time.

The massage was quite nice, however I really didn't enjoy the cupping. It was a really strange sensation and left my back feeling itchy afterwards. However, I'm sure this was just me as my boyfriend also went and he enjoyed it. The consultation afterwards was interesting though.

Called up to rearrange my appointment and they were very flexible. When I arrived I was given a consultation and advised as to what treatment I require. It was recommended that I should @upgrade my massage to a deep tissue from a relaxation. The massage was great and really did the trick.
I would would go back there for sure. The only thing I would suggest is having a water machine/drinks machine as I think this is needed after massage. I also had a cupping session which I had never had. It would have been better if I had known what to expect. On the whole though it was a good experiance.

My reflexologist was OK, he hit the right spots although my partner's one failed to explain anything to him and the reaction of my partner was that it was a waste of time and that perhaps she (the therapist) either did not speak good English or was not experienced enough to explain the benefits of reflexology (it was his first time) or do it properly or simply did not press hard. At a reduced price that we paid, it was OK, at least for me. However, I probably wouldn't pay the full price for what it is.

The massage was really good - firm and it sorted out a lot of tension in relevant areas. I had no idea what to expect with the hot cupping treatment but I enjoyed the experience. The marks stayed for a few days afterwards. The treatment rooms are small and a bit dingy and there was some argument going on among the staff which was not particularly relaxing at times

The massage was fantastic, one of the best I've had. The hot cupping was ok, not uncomfortable, but left loads of marks on my back. But I was mostly unhappy about the way I was herded into another room afterwards to have a 'doctor's consultation'. This would have been fine if it hadn't been a blatant hard sell of acupuncture (six sessions for £250, and asked to pay all upfront. I dont think so). Also the doctor did some osteo work on me leaving my back very bruised. Disappointing after such a lovely massage.
