Latest chemical skin peel review
Staff are lovely and quick to great you when you walk in the door. The waiting area is plush and ambient with a good selection of product information and magazines, though the floor was a little bit dirty. The therapist took me through the treatment before we started and there is a very thorough checklist for you to complete which is reassuring when you are having a peel! I had the Oxy-brightening facial, the therapist was very gentle and nice throughout and during the part where you actually have the oxygen crystals on (which can make your skin tingle a lot!) she kept checking to see if anything hurt, and in this instance quickly wiped the product away from the nostril area as I'd recently had a cold so the skin was a bit sore so it hurt a bit. Lots of products are used that feel lovely on the skin, no scrimping! When the cleansing, exfoliating and peel where finished the therapist put on two different serums and then a tinted spf 30 moisturiser (as she noticed I preferred a tinted moisturiser when we started). All in all a lovely treatment, however the one thing that let's this place down a bit is the ambience: because they are located in a building on the corner of two busy roads, you can hear a constant stream of traffic, and also the other therapists in the building going up and down stairs and chatting. They could easily remedy this by having a bit of calming music in the actual treatment room. It's not that distracting for a short treatment like this, but I imagine for a longer treatment I would find it annoying. All in all though a lovely treatment, good value for money, and I would go back- though as I've just had it I don't know yet if my skin will really look any different!
