the clinic was easy to locate. the staff were nice, i was offered a cup of coffee before my treatment. excellent ambience created a very relaxing feel. i saw results from the treatment instantly as i lost 2 inches on my thighs. i was very impressed.
The location was very good, easy and accesible. The treatment was not what i expected, I think it should be longer, more time with the mask, too much time wasted preparing.
On top floor of building so not good for those with mobility issues. Was greeted by a really nice lady but she didn't introduce herself so do not know her name. She asked me if I had brought something to change into but as I had never had this done before and it wasn't mentioned I hadn't. I was asked to stand on a towel whilst the seaweed type mixture was applied to areas of my body and then I was wrapped in clingfilm. I lost 9 inches overall from hips, chest, arms and thighs but can't say that I really noticed. My facial was a cleanse, exfoliate and mask which was left on for 30 mins - no facial massage which I think is always the most beneficial.
The environment is good, inside of the Leisure Center, good location easy to find it. During the treatment the music around that was nice make you feel relaxed, however the staff maybe was tired not very helpful, but overall she was ok, she answered my questions. The price for the treatment is ok, not expensive but it was not promotion price, not like Groupon that sometimes you really have good deal. Overall I would like say that was3 star.
It took quite a few weeks to eventually get my appointment. Firstly, I couldnt get through on the phone lines then my first appointment was cancelled. I had to ring again a few days later to rebook as noone had bothered ringing me back. The treatment itself was very good - the therapist was efficient and used quality products. I did choose this treatment to help with my problem stomach area but she focussed more on my legs, however, I did feel the benefit and I was there over an hour and felt pampered. The receptionists could have been more friendly.
Never ever go here. I had a groupon deal for a body wrap and a massage. The woman was clearly not trained, she hurt my back, I have broken blood vessels and painful bruising. Big Mistake!
had a fab day totally recomend it thank you cant wait to go back with my daughter as a treat the shop and staff are just lovely treatments are just lush thank you once again x
Enjoyed my day at the River Well-being spa, Arrived at the spa and was offered valet service for my car. The receptionist was friendly and was talked through the different treatments available. Wasn't given a tour however, the spa is small enough for you to find things by yourself.
The therapists were polite and talked through what the treatments were for and the benefits of having them done.
Was offered an Aloe vera drink which was tasty and champagne in the relaxation room which boasts views of the river.
Enjoyed my day thoroughly and will be coming back for the 2 4 1 offer, worth the money!
Went to Dove spa lakeside which was fantastic!!! We went for the enlighten detox package which was excellent value for money - the exfoliation , wrap and facial were amazing!!! Would def go back +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++==
My first experience but not my partner's. It was every bit as relaxing as I expected, with professional and expert staf, highly skilled in their fields, superb facilities and marvellous accommodation. We stayed over a weekend and whilst there was a considerable number of people using the spa it was not crowded by any means, thanks to the variety of treatments and experiences on offer. We will certainly use Titanic Spa again.
The staff at Estivals were incredible and I felt very much at home and so comfortable as if I had been going there for years. I enjoyed the thoughtfulness of coffee and chocolates on arrival after my journey.
The staff have the ethic that nothing would be too much trouble that I feel it should therefore be recommended.
I look forward to the open day on 27th May as the previous events at Estivals have been exceptional.
My therapist was Christina, and I really enjoyed what she did - her body analysis and the actual work. The intensity of the massage varied, depending on the area she was treating - and the wrap she applied did really seem effective.
The therapist was very good, and their consultation really proved they cared about the outcomes of my treatment. The vacuum massage made its effects felt on the next day, and the wrap was 'active' throughout the evening. Will definitely book follow up-s
I had a great day at this spa enjoying the relaxing experience I was promised. From the moment you walk in staff are happy to help and guide you in the right direction. I had two body treatments and would highly recommend both. The facilities cover everything you need from your spa day and the Luxurious relaxation snug are amazing.
Grasse was so easy to find with free parking right outside the shop. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel really comfortable. Emma did my body wrap & facial and it was amazing, the most relaxing experience of my life. I will definately go back soon for follow up treatments.
Thank you.

First visit to this spa everything was excellent from the moment we stepped through the door to the moment we left. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, the therapist was friendly, the pictures on the website don,t do the apartments justice we were surprised how nice they were. The food too was first class - can,t wait to return. Very good value for money too/
Brilliant therapist and effective treatment. She made me feel really comfortable and kept conversation interesting for the 2 hours or so which I was there for. Would defintley recommend - just make sure you aren't claustrophobic!
I would definitely go back to this spa. My friend and I had a wonderful experience and would strongly recommend it. All the staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our treatments. As it was my friend's birthday, I had requested champagne twice, which staff agreed to, but it wasn't provided. This would be my only complaint! Overall I would recommend this hotel/spa!
I went with a girlfriend for her birthday celebrations, and we both enjoyed our treatments very much. The chocolate body wrap smelt gorgeous and the facial was really lovely. We left very happy and satisfied with our day.
I first visited this place after I bought a pamper voucher off Wahanda.
Firstly, when I arrived, I was most pleased by the ample free parking adjacent to the salon.
On entry, the salon was clean, bright and well kept. I met my therapist Sarah who took me to one of the treatment rooms to explain the package.
To be completely honest, when I book things and I get a very good deal, my expectations are lowered by my "you get what you pay for" mentality. Imagine my surprise at not only meeting a therapist who is resolutely passionate about her work, but also having the ability of making you feel completely at ease instantly.
The room was lovely and warm (towels on the ready on the radiator) and my treatments began.
Everything about it was sublime. I felt like I was in there for more than the two hours. Every treatment I had (massage, body wrap, micro dermabrasion facial, eye treatment, eyebrow tinting and threading - i think there may have been more but I was in relax central so can't remember) was perfect.
I struggle to find a really masseuse but Sarah really knows her stuff and worked those knots out like a dream.
I have since been back for more micro dermabrasion facials and I also have a massage booked for the next visit.
After being to this place, I wanted to write a warning! Basically, if you are looking for a cheap chill out day for yourself with some treatments then this is totally fine. BUT dont go here if you are looking for ANY sort of luxury! To get to and from the spa room you have to walk THROUGH the gym AND through reception! I had a chocolate wrap which meant I was covered head to toe in brown stuff and had to walk through reception and through the gym to get to the changing rooms! We went here for my best friends hen and everyone in the group said it was totally not what we thought it would be... There is also no "relax" room or anything like that so we all had to drag two sunlougers together by the side of the pool and perch - for hours - while we waited for others to finish their treatments. Seriously, dont be disappointed like we were!!!!!!
The Spa facilitites were dissappointing. The shower smelt mouldy. We were not given adequate info about the treatments available to us. Compared to other deals on the market it was over priced. Credit to the therapists they were good in the actual massage but i expected much more.
I went to River Wellbeing Spa at The Hotel Rafayel on a weekend day in Jan. First, they were too busy and could not offer me an locker, so the receptionist said I could pass my belongings to her and she would find me a locker later and then lock my things in and pass the key to me in my treating room. Then I went into a treating room for massage and body wrap. The room was cold and the massage was not good at all. I asked for deep tissue massage but the therapist offered very light massage. For the body wrap, the therapist even did not brush the body mask properly. A lot of parts of my body were not brushed by mask. When the body wrap finished I was guided to a shower room without towel. When my whole treatment finished I was not given a key of my locker so I had to walked to the receptionist to get my things back. The last stage of treatment was they would offer you some drink. After I changed, I went to the receptionist again, there was no chair for me to sit. At last I found a chair but it was wet, so I had to wait again for a dry chair. After I waited 10 minutes I got a dry chair but the tea they offered tasted very strange. I could not find anything make me happy for the whole treatment!
I booked the Inch loss body wrap and facial without know what to expect. I just hoped it would work - and it did! Brilliant! I have booked again for a top up before I go on holiday. A good tip if you decide to book is to take a little pair of bikini bottoms to change into for the treatment.
Therapist was very friendly and informative about the treatment (body wrap). Treatment itself was not very pleasant as it was icy cold, but therapist warned about this and did everything she could to help, including extra blankets and hot tea at the end :-) Facilities are fine, not bad but nothing special, staff are friendly and welcoming. Been several times before and would return again, but perhaps not for same treatment!
I had the Serali Mud Treatment
It was a thoroughly relaxing and great treatment to smoothen out the skin. I left feeling like I had the skin of a baby.
The venue is set in beautiful surroundings. The Stafff were extremely friendly.
I would definately recommend this treatment to anybody and the venue too.
I went yesterday (March 2012), I was told by the Salon itself, 2 hours of pampering, wrap you in mud, pedicure and massage. I had very thin mud on my arms and legs, a pedicure with no massage or scrub, (just file), a shower that burnt me, a massage which was nice but with the wet towel I dried myself with, all in an amazing 50mins!! The therapists said she did but mud on my back, I know she didn't, it really was not worth complaining about. I want a Salon I can happily go to very quarter to pamper and this place it not worthy!! I had to walk half way home since my husband thought he had 2 hours to do the grocery shop and so we both had been cut short.
The Vibro suite is very modern and luxurious. The treatment I had was fantastic my skin was very soft and smelt lovely afterwards. My only critiism would be that the shower area was separate to the beauty room so I had to walk through the public reception area to shower in between my treatments.
EXCELLENT SPA, BEAUTIFUL, RELAXING AND PURE LUXURY. LOVELY STAFF, A BRILLIANT DAY OUT. SO GOOD I HAD AN EXTRA TREATMENT AND WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK AND WILL RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS XXX
The mud wrap treatment was very good and the therapist very nice. The salon is a little tired and cramped but fine. I would recommend this salon if it's convenient to get to but would not travel far to go myself.
I have been having a course CACI body treatments. They are an award-winning body treatment designed to lift tone and contour your chosen area. These treatments are also ideal to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scarring. I have had very good results and am throughly impressed. The staff at options are always friendly and extremely professional. Would highly recommend this salon!
I visited the Nottingham Belfry with a friend last year, wow what a day got a great deal so spent the whole day there and had 3 treatments. was really quite practically had the place to our selves. whilst the food was amazing it was very overpriced. the treatments were to die for but the facilities were a little lacking for me personally.... however it was a great day and the staff were amazing
I had a enlighten detox voucher and it was really good value for money. I was there for about an hour in total, and i had a full body exfoliation, wrap and mini facial. The treatment was very relaxing and the room was nice. Only downside was it was cold in the shower room so after a shower it was a bit chilly! but i did hav the earliest appointment in the day so maybe the heating hadnt kicked in! I was offered a drink after my treatment and it was waiting in the waiting area once i came out my room which was a nice touch. Staff were all friendly and proffesional. Overall a really good offer :-)
I had a lovely visit the the Bridge Hotel & Spa the staff were very helpful and respected your privacy, nothing was to much trouble, Will definately be going back to this venue again
We have been to the Bridge Hotel & Spa twice now and have enjoyed both occassions
The staff are very professional and make you feel welcome nothing is to much trouble. Looking foreward to our next visit
Enhance in Sale was amazing, and a fab Saturday Morning for any girl (or boy) looking for quality, relaxing and welcoming spa/beauty experience.
Sarah was my therapist and she was really friendly, welcoming, professional and polite. She explained all of the treatments and made me feel really relaxed. The knowledge and experience of the staff coupled with quality products and lovley venue made this one of the best pamper sessions I have ever had. Thank You so much! I will definatley be visiting Enhance Beauty Clinic again.
Haircut gets cheaper!!
I coincidentally found a coupon next to my mail box and that triggered me to have a hair cut at New Way Spa. Called them up to make sure if they were still taking coupons and the answer was "yes". What I liked about going was that no prior appointment was needed. They had good number of staff and any walk-ins were welcome. The Manager 'Kejt' gave me a neat, healthy hair cut in about 15 min including shampoo and conditioning rinse for 15£
I am happy I found New Way Salon and Spa!
I found Citrine salon and spa by pure chance. And I am
happy I did!!!
The salon is very beautiful and very welcoming and the
people are very nice. Grazia, the stylist that took care of me,
did a superb job with my hair and... my soul. She is nice, polite, attentive and she knows her stuff !!!
I highly recommend her and the salon.
Expertise and customer service: what a great combination!
This one of the best experiences that I ever had going to a spa. The atmosphere was private, comfortable, personable, and cozy.
The staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant. My laser treatments were not only successful, but quick and easy with no hassle.
Most of all I felt like every possible precaution was taken to ensure that my skin was handled with care.
Thanks New Way Spa !
I will be returning!
I was booked to have an Enlighten Me package which included: Full Body Exfoliation, Full Body Wrap and Mini Facial; instead of the mini facial I had a foot massage when I was in the body wrap.
I found that the therapist was personable and very professional. She consulted with me about everything, and decided on the wrap and oils according to what I wanted. Whilst having the treatment the therapist gave me plenty of time to shower (removing the scrub and wrap product). Overall I was very happy with the therapist I felt like a customer, I definetly felt valued; and I found I could feel an improvement in my skin. My skin immediately felt smoothed and moisturised. And I felt this was an excellent treatment to relax and feel pampered. I would be happy to pay full price at this location for this treatment.
Excellent treatment today which I thoroughly enjoyed. Sarah was a superb masseeuse and made me feel so relaxed. She explained exactly what she was going to do and was very easy to chat with, really friendly. The treatments I had were: body wrap, back and shoulder massage, microdermabrasion, eyebrow threading, eyebrow and eyelash tint and collagen for the eyes. I feel 10 years younger and am looking forward to treating myself again here in the future. I can happily recommend the salon and the treatments.
Fantastic value for money. Greeted by friendly helpful receptionist and the rest of the day just got better and better. Would definitely go again and have recommended it to family and friends.
I recently booked for the Back massage treatment, body wrap and back parrafin wax.
However booking seemed to be a slight issue, as they were lacking in staff answering the phone I had to ring on several different occasions and when they did pick up they kept transferring me back and forth.
However on the day of the booking the venue was easy to locate as said on the phone. It was about a 2 min walk from Hendon central tube station.
The venue wasnt the most glamorous of places but was decent and secluded enough, I had forgotten my print out but the staff kindly resolved the issues anyway.
The treatments were to a high standard and the thearpist had enough strength for the massage to really get the knots that was in back. This was a good stress relief treatment and anyone experiencing back aches and pains.
They staff were plesant and did not rush anything - treatment was only meant to be 1hr but was given an extra 15 -20mins.
overall i was very pleased and is definitely a good place to come regularly as your local venue.
Value for money.
lovely body weight loss wrap and facial i lost 7 inchs very enjoyable experience would go again lovely place and therapist was very good looking for more offers to go again
This tretament was amazing, really relaxing and the facial left my skin glowing! The therapist was excellent, very welcoming and friendly and able to leave me to relax! Lovely salon that has a great ambience, thanks!!
I wouldnt use this place if it was FREE! I went here in January as i got a lovely present off my husband for christmas, it was a 2 hour pamper package at the wright way in Acocks Green. The voucher was for a 1hour full body massage, a mud body wrap and a pedicure. All together a 2 hour pamper package that guaranteed full relaxation. Well what i got was 45 mins of treatment that consisted of mud being thrown onto my body for about 5 mins, the got shoved into a disgusting shower cubicle where i got told to "hurry up and remove the mud before the hot water runs out". After a 2 minute shower i was then asked to lay on the bed where i would get my full body massage! Once again to my disappointment this only consisted of the girl rubbing my back for approx 10 mins and then the back of my legs for about 2 mins. I was then told to turn over for her to do my feet...this being my pedicure, if you could actually call it that. The girl filed my toe nails, put a bit of scrub on my feet, washed it off with a dirty flannel and then rubbed foot lotion into them. When i asked if i should pick a colour for my toes to be painted, the girl laughed in my face and told me if i wanted polish it would be an extra "fiver". I just couldnt wait to get out of there so i just asked if i could get dressed and leave. I rang the next day to speak to the manager as i was totally disgusted with the treatment id received and when i spoke to her all she said was that there had been an error on the voucher and it shoud be a 1hour 15 min treatment not 2 hours (although mine only last 45 mins??). I advised i wanted my money back and she basically told me to get stuffed and they didnt offer refunds!! Im so disappointed, i had been looking forward to this pamper package since Christmas. If i was you i wouldn't even walk outside this place, let alone actually get any kind of treatment there.
A great-value deal, though you'd have to be mad to pay full price for it, as it wasn't worth anything like that! Five treatments, all of which were nice, but because they're all done at the same time it only actually takes 75 mins - over £100 for that would be ridiculous! I was very very pleased with the eyebrow shape. The massage was nice. The body wrap wasn't really a wrap - a bit of stuff on my arms and legs and a sheet over the top of me while the other treatments were carried out - I'd never pay anything to have that "wrap" again. The microdermibrasion was quite effective, but very quick - again I wouldn't pay full price for that ever. The therapist was lovely. It's just a room in a nail salon, but then for £29 I wouldn't expect more. A good deal if you want to try some treatments or just have a little pamper. I left feeling relaxed and that I'd treated myself. Very pleased, and were the offer permament I'd go back again and again for it, but wouldn't pay full price for any of the treatments.
We had a lovely day at the Breadsall Priory.
We chose the back massage which was very relaxing then we went for a swim and sauna afterwards we had lunch there which finished the morning perfectly a great day out
Small & intimate space. Made to feel VERY welcome. It was my first ever body wrap so had no idea what to expect, pleasantly surprised! Very relaxing, will go again & this time take an old bikini or similar. Thank-you for a pleasant first experience!
the best spa and hotel we have ever been to! Treated like royalty, the staff were exceptional in every department. Treatments were so wonderful that we had one every other night during our three week stay. The spa itself was beautiful and very relaxing. The therapists very very friendly, professional and knowledgable. It was so good that we are going back again this year. Truely an amazing hotel not be missed.
The place was nice but the staff at reception seemed busy talking to each other. The therapist was good but I would have prefered is she hadn't talked to me the whole time!
My own treat a body wrap 2 weeks before xmas.Friendly, efficient salon .My therapist was excellent and went out of her way to make my experience enjoyable she was so friendly and thoughtful.Iam booking again in January.
When I arrived at Bea's salon I was aching all over particularly my back and neck, Bea soon got to work and eased my aches and pains. She worked extra on my back and neck at no extra cost to me. The room was warm and cosy and the exfoliation wonderful and removed with warm towels better still the warm wrap very relaxing I fell asleep I was so pampered.
I visited Champneys with a group of friends and had a really nice time. We were a bit worried about the healthy eating aspect of the menu but my meals were all very tasty and I was definitely not hungry at all during my stay. The room was well appointed and comfortable and we did make good use of the lounge as we were a large group and the rooms would not accommodate us all. Found the staff lovely both in the spa and at the restaurant, always very helpful too. But the crème de la crème of this facility is most definitely the treatments and the standard at which they are carried. I had an Elemis Ocean Aroma wrap and a gel manicure at Champneys. Both my therapists were amazing. They explained all the procedures and I was so happy with the Elemis products used that I ended up taking advantage of a gift pack in the shop! I definitely felt very relaxed and would have had more treatments too during the day but left it too late to book and there was no availability. Despite this the lady in reception made a very good effort to try and accommodate me, so I was very pleased. Thank you all at Champneys for a great stay!
I got the Enlighten Body Detox Package and a 1 hour Aromatherapy Massage - both were amazing. The therapist was really attentive and always asked if I was ok with the temperature, the scent of the massage oil, etc. It was a great day - looking forward to going back!
I have made a number of trips to Dove Spa at Canary Wharf, I have always enjoyed my treatments and I have always liked the decor. I am now a Dove Spa Beauty Pass member and I havea membership at this gym. I personally think to have a beauty wrap and massage the decor and comfort of the spa are important o really relax and enjoy the treatment. I felt the exfoliation/ body
wrap/ and facial were well administered, and I found the therapist professional. I think I would need more than one enlighten me treatment to say how happy I am with the results. But as a pick me up I really enjoyed the treatment. The therapist was professional yet friendly, and the combination of the
exfoliation/ body wrap/ and facial was a real feel good treat.
Great Spa buy nothing Turkish except a crescent symbol on top of an arch inside the baths.
We respect this famous place but it is quite misleading to call it Turkish Baths and having nothing to do with it. We had a joyful conversation with Graham (The Managerr) and he agreed...
My recommendation is either bring some Turkish touch in or Rename the facilities...
This is a Victorian building made according Roman Architecture..
I am also deeply disappointed by the latest news on the BBC today.
Turkish Baths are 600 years respectable tradition linking back to Roman times...
It was really relaxing, my skin felt amazing after the treament.
My therapist was really helpful and explained the different treatment as she went along.
I would book this treatment again next time I plan to go on holiday or just needed some chill out time.
I had a mobdeal for a wrap and facial, so it was good value. The wrap started with a full body scrub, which I then showered off, then the application of mud. This was only applied to the tummy and thighs - I think it would have been nice for mud to be applied over more of the body. I was then wrapped up in plastic and heated blankets. While I got hot and sweaty in the wrap they did a facial, which was nice. I think lying there not having a facial wouldn't be much fun as you can't move, but having the facial made it enjoyable. If there is another offer, I'd be happy to go back.
All the treatments I have ever received from Philip have always been exceptional. From the full 2 hour session spa body wrap to the simple 45 minute facial - fully satisfied. In November I have started three shiatsu sessions - absolutely fantastic! For all your desired treatments - this is the best place in Cardiff!
I enjoyed the wrap experience at Dove spa South Wimbledon, the staff were friendly and on time. The room was comfortable, warm and the wrap itself included a massage and facial. The smell and texture of the products was really soothing and made my skin feel soft and clean. I would definitely recommend a visit!
The ambiance was very relaxing, was made to feel at ease & comfortable by the friendly therapist. I didn't think i would have much to lose (only being a size 10) however, i had lost six & a half inches overall. My skin looked much better, less dimpled. Would definately reccomend.
Beautifully presented room but could have been a little warmer. Lovely staff member who was very knowledgeable about the treatments and I felt very relaxed after the treatment - I will return soon
Really relaxing experience which i think has been hard to find since living in leicester. Highly Recommended.
What can I say...? I spent 4 nights at the Monchique Longevity Wellness Resort and I didn't want to leave! Will definitely be going back again to take advantage of this amazing place and all it has to offer. Though I didn't use that service myself you can get a complete tailored plan after an initial consultation. I was there with my husband so we were out and about quite a lot exploring the Algarve, but I still managed to squeeze in a Vichy Shower Massage with aromatherapy oils and a full body detox wrap. The resort is amazing, our suite was exquisite, the spa excellent, the rest of the facilities great, the restaurant by chef Olivier... there aren't even enough adjectives to qualify it. You get offered a range of healthy and well balanced meals that still leave you completely watering from the mouth. This is a place where you can demand the best and still be surprised with what you get. Definitely 5 stars all around.
We went to Ufford Park having heard good things but not really knowing what to expect and we were very pleased with our stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with an amazing view of the golf course and beyond. The staff was extremely attentive and we felt very welcome, almost like VIPs! The Thermal Suite was a really nice surprise and we spent several hours in there. My choice of treatment was the Anti-cellulite Firming Treatment, and would totally recommend. You get a localised cellulite treatment on your thighs (which definitely left my skin firmer and smoother) and at the same time a lush back massage! What more can you ask for? My therapist Aimee was lovely and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable, even going back to reception to grab the towel and robe pack that we had not been given when signing in. We were feeling so relaxed just a few hours after arriving. The cherry on top was most definitely the meal we had that evening. What a delight! Would most certainly consider going back.
I really enjoyed my day at Moddershall Oaks. The Staff are very warm and friendly and helpful. I brought my lunch in the restaurant and it was frantastic. Many Thanks will be coming again soon.
Hi I liked the venue being the heart of the City but felt out of it due to how busy it was the gym facilities were good though. I thought there couldve been a class or something but it was fun and good to walk out into the heart of the city.
Lovely welcoming salon nice and clean and the therapist is lovely. I lost 6.5 inches on the wrap and the facials are to die for. Very good value and highly recommended.
The location was good as it was close to Russell square. As the spa is located inside the Bannatyne gym it did feel more like a visit to the gym rather than a spa. The staff were very friendly and professional. I had the body wrap which was a nice treat as my skin felt lovely and smooth after the session.
I have visited Innerspirit several times and each time you are made to feel welcome and comfortable. All the staff are polite and knowledgeable about their profession. I have tried several treatments and each time I have felt relaxed and refreshed after. The nail technician, Emma, is excellent and really takes the trouble to look after you. I would certainly recommend this salon to anyone in search of a safe haven and bit of R&R! Definately worth a visit!
Confusion over appointment time meant that i was a bit stressed when having treatment. The wrap was very nice but the Manicure let it down a bit. Overall though, given the price paid it was very good value. but overall good value.
Fab Day! The therapists were great, really friendly & welcoming, very professional. The two mini treatments were reat value for money.
The facilities were ok. It was a shame the Spa centre didn't have it's own chill out room where you could have lunch in your robes.
This was fabulous. I found the male receptionist a bit shy, and having to walk through reception at street level in my bathrobe to go downstairs for the sauna and shower a bit strange. Suggested that they use only SLS-free soaps as they can make my skin itch and not natural. The downstairs facilities were excellent. Not sure what the body wrap achieved but it was fine. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. My therapist, Anni was completely wonderful. The sauna was super too, whereas I don't usually care for them. Perhaps it was the infra-red heat that made it a much better experience. I loved the body brushing and may get my own brush. The massage was perfect. Just a great experience all round. Oh, and they let me take home the flip flop slippers, which I love. I wish the manager and Anni all the best in the world.
The salon is situated on the ground floor of Toni & Guy. It was a bit weird having to pass through T&G to get there as the T&G staff didn't greet me. The reception is small but sufficient. The treatment was good, involved a quick scrub (would have preferred if this had been longer and more of a scrub) followed by a quick wash off in your own shower (inside the treatment room). Then followed by application of the seaweed mask on my thighs and tummy before wrapping me up in plastic and a heated blanket. It was relaxing to begin with While i was being baked in my cocoon i had a facial which was lovely. She took the time to properly and carefully remove my eye makeup which was appreciated as opposed to walking out w giant panda eyes. Note: being stuck inside the blanket gets very hot and slightly suffocating after awhile so ask the therapist to turn the temperature down otherwise you'll want to just jump out of the blanket. Ask for water as well as that will help you cool down. Overall a great treatment. I met a male friend after and he said straight away how fresh and relaxed i looked!
I was very impressed with my visit to Glamour House. The staff were friendly & offered me a drink as soon as I arrived. My beauty therapist was professional & explained the details of the body wrap treatment, as this was my first. The sauna was the best one ever, very clean & then I had the Thalgo body wrap. I felt so relaxed & pampered. I would highly recommend this place & look forward to my next visit.
This is what I have told my friends...
The place feels like a hairdressers with a room upstairs with a table in it!
Felt grubby, toilet not clean, sink opposite full of washing up.
Get changed with the windows and blinds open looking at Petersfield Kebab shop and all the passers by.
Hard faded towels
Ambience? I had the body wrap and when I have had this before there felt like therapeutic angle, this felt very functional, having a scrub like Id scrub the floor, not to relax someone.
Strip light runs parallel to the bed so even if you close your eyes, you have this bright light over you.
Dimming the lights, removing the tacky buddas, closing the blinds and getting the therapist to make you feel welcome (and not leave every 5 minutes to get more hot water leaving the door open with you on a table semi naked in broad daylight)
Rubbish!!! I can not believe that you could get away with so poooor service and treatment skills that i received today. The girls that are working there just dnt know how to massage or do facial or anything else. im glad i only waisted £25 and not more. Ive been working in beauty industry for many years and never received such a poor service.
I was really disappointed as I was really looking forward to me treatments, unfirtunately no one had contacted me to let me know the venue I had booked at had closed. I managed to get a slot at Mayfair and although my therapist was really good and she explained the different procedures and products she was using as she went along, I didn't get the treatments I wanted and all the other items I had planned at other venues needed to be cancelled or were ruined.
my therapist was really good, she explained the different procedures and products she was using as she went along.
Really good value, really nice ambience, all of the staff are really friendly.
Six Senses Spa is my favourite spa in London, despite the fact that it's situated a stones throw away from Canary Wharf. Its very discreet and the ambience and atmosphere is so relaxing you forget that you're in London.
Natalie gave me an amazing full body massage, in fact the best I've ever had! They're facilities are so clean and pristine, you almost don't want to mess anything up! As any good spa, they provide you with robes, multiple towels and flip flops. After your treatment, your're encouraged to relax in the relaxation suite with a blanket and they provide you with some ginger tea and dried fruit... I have fallen asleep quite a few times there! Love, love, love it. If you want a spa that you don't have to take a whole day out to visit then this place is definitely ideal, 2/3 hours here is a great way to start, interupt or end the week!
The staff at the New Leaf Spa are wonderful friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Abby our therapist is an absolute star, she made the Frangipani Body Wrap a heavenly experience,
All the facilities are spotless, there is even hair straighteners in the changing room, brilliant!!!!
The light lunch we had was yum, and the prices are reasonable.
My sister in law said she would be quite happy to go on her own, as the atmosphere was just so nice and she cannot wait to go back!!!!
I would happily recommend the New Leaf Spa.
Fantastic day, wish that it could have been two. Really good value for money. Had the advantage of lovely weather so the outdoor pool came into its own! The Aqua aerobics class very good, felt like a work out not just splashing about. Tried a Body Wrap for the first time,do not think that I will repeat the treatment but the therapist was 1st class. Lunch was amazing, so much to choose from & beautifully presented. Overall the facilities are looking a bit jaded, in need of a bit of a spruce up in shower areas & Day changing room etc. Certainly would recommend Grayshott Hall to anyone thinking of trying a Spa day.
Enjoyed the day with my friend. Food in the bar was a bit pricey but since it was a treat didn't mind paying the extra. The treatments were spot on. Gym had lots of good modern equipment and the pool with facilities was decent to. Overall a good day and would recommend!
I never got to this appointment. I woke in the morning with an upset stomach and phoned to try and rearrange. I was given a statement that 'nothing could be done' 'it was my loss' and 'it has nothing to do with me'. When I dared to question this response, I was accused of being rude! There was no apology for my loss of money and no sympathy. Sharon, the manager complained about having to leave a customer to take the call! I actually am glad I didn't go. The energy in that place must be awful! I have never been treated like this before.
Had a lovely silk wrap treatment at this spa. Therapist was lovely and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Room was well decked out with low lighting and candles, helping to add to the relaxing vibe. My skin felt lovely after the treatment. Added bonus that I could use the gym facilities beforehand which are slightly outdated but great as an added bonus.
First time I'd done a cellulite busting body wrap and was a little claustrophobic. You're meant to sweat out your toxins but that means being wrapped up tightly and feeling boiling - quite hard to handle! But skin felt great afterwards and I think I'd lost some inches. Facial (done at same time) wasn't that enjoyable as I was boiling hot so didn't appreciate it and sweating so much I'm not sure any of the creams stayed on! Staff were absolutely lovely. Would go back.
Excellent service from the therapist for the body wrap and facial on the wahanda deal. Body wrap was incredibly warm but felt detoxed and slimmer afterwards, definitely worth the money! The facial was good as it kept me occupied while I was being cooked in the body wrap but otherwise didn't think much of it. The room was clean and overall I was impressed with the service.
I had a wonderfully relaxing time and booked a further treatment with the same therapist - Harriet. The whole place was very clean but not clinical so it felt very welcoming. I will definately be going back when I have some spare cash!
Excellent, very relaxing and I have not a bad word to say about the whole experience! Could not have been treated better and the venue is lovely for shopping then pampering afterwards!
My 3 days were just what the doctor would/should have ordered. I'm very motivated and focused now thanks to the team at Hillmotts.
A very enjoyable experience.
:-)
I went to Limone for a Universal Contour Wrap and a facial and I was very impressed. Lauren was welcoming and friendly and clearly very knowledgeable about the treatments and products. The salon has two treatment rooms and space for manicures and pedicures, it has clearly been refurbished recently as the decor is beautiful. Great to find somewhere so great and so close to home!
Stayed for overnight spa deal for £120 which included 2 x 25 minute treatments with 3 course dinner and breakfast included. Spa facilities were very good although was disappointed with the amount of noisy children in the pool outside of the childrens swim time. The two free treatments were excellent and I also booked a mud wrap which was also incredible value for money. The food in the restaraunt and choice of meals could not be faulted. Twin room was huge and very clean. Would definitely recommend it and go back again
This was my first treatment of this kind - so I was pretty nervous about getting naked. The treatment was OK, but I guess I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't more relaxing and luxurious! It felt a little rushed - for instance, when the therapist was using the scrub she applied it to only a few spots, and same with the moisturiser at the end. The facial also felt very rushed, and the therapist didn't tell me what kind of products she was using on my face - something I wouldn't liked to have known about.
Still, I guess I can't complain. It was a good deal, and I came out feeling clean and fresh.
I bought this voucher because of all the good reviews I had heard about this place. And to tell the truth I wasn’t disappointed!!! Tanya is incredible not only as a professional but also as a human being! This voucher was for a package that includes an endermologie session, a body exfoliation treatment and a body wrap. And I have to say that even though the session lasted between 2 and 3 hours but I enjoyed every single second of it. Can’t wait to go back!
Ummmm... this visit was a mix of good and not so good for me.
Location wasnt too bad and the space when you think about its premium location is not bad either.
I just feel there is something missing...and that is money and top fee-paying clients. Money to really do the place up to reflect the name Bannatyne???? very disappointing and Im hoping that Duncan get get some money in quick to fix the place up to the standards that weve accustomed him to and then draw in the top fee payers......!
Some good equipment and useful space management but the quality was just not top range,
Pool wasnt too bad and the reception staff are a joy to have around. They even announced my name on the PA System to remind me of my treatment. Cool.
The Therapist - Rachel.....was briliant and very accomodating. Did my body wrap even though she'd assumed I wanted a facial [wrong] but was OK with it and was very professional and handled megently and with great care. Thanks Rachhh...
Snored my way out and an hour later was gently helped to my feet. Greta stuff - wished I could just spend the night there.
Anyway.....all was good but theplace needs refurbishing.....and quick too.
Cheers | Chris...
It was a very interesting experience. Staff was very friendly. Location is convinient. scin feels soft and nice. I have not notice any loss in mu size, but scin feels better after the treatment. I will recomend this treatment as scin improving and not as a loss waight treatment.
Came a little early and was taken straight through for treatment, no waiting around, was offered a drink and explained what was going to happen.
Theripist was lovely, really put me at ease and had a really nice chat, the time flew !
Came out feeling revitalised....lovely and soft.
Enjoyed it and would do it again
I went to get a body wrap and facial, very nice therapist. She gave me good explanations of what she was doing and was very friendly. Can highly recommend this place for beauty treatments.
The therapist Tanya was very friendly, professional and explained everything about the treatment. She was very caring and gave me good instructions to find the location of the salon and the timing of the overall treatment was spot on. Would recommend!
the staff is really nice. They body wraps are very nice, my body feels really smooth. The facial is also very nice and leaves my skin really soft and moist.
I first went to the Sanctuary in 2009 after i was given a voucher by my boyfriend for Christmas. Absolutely lovely present. I have been back since around 4 times as it is a really fun place to go with a group. I really enjoy the swing and the pools. I also love the meditation room - I was cynical about meditation until i went there and now i mediate a few times a week. It does get very busy and it can feel like a conveyor belt type spa so I would recomend this for a girly day out rather than a day on your own. It is pretty pricey but you can get good discounts.
went last year before my wedding.
Very beautiful spa was greeted like a princess :)
I had a day package which included Afew treatments, lunch and use of facilities.
The changing rooms are nice bottled water, herbal drinks available.
The hydrotherapy pool was great I had the whole place to myself
Used the sauna and steam room.
The relaxation room was amazing magazines, fruit, water.
Nice blankets and flower on each bed totally amazing.
The treatments were equally amazing.
Lunch area was busy I ordered sea bass which I didn't like hadn't tried it before
So told the waiter who gladly asked me what I would prefer
And he made me lovely vegetables and potatoes very posh type
Great place and didn't want to leave.
Would go back but very expensive.
chill n mix what a great deal for £20 - great salon with lovley staff! Worth a visit! 1 and 1/2 hours of relaxation for £20 and the hubby had the kids.
Was greeted with a smile and herbal tea.
Had Afew treatments all which were great.
Therapist was friendly and professional.
Great treatment room.
Felt leaving fresh and lighter.
Pity spa doesn't have a jacuzzi they focus on treatments
Would recommend. 5 min walk from selfridges Oxford street.
Excellent value for Wahanda deal Silk Body Wrap plus use of facilities. Bath robes and towels were provided. Convenient central London location, close to underground. Relaxing treatment and skin felt so smooth afterwards.
Got the Wahanda mobdeal for the body wrap, this salon is quite far to get to from central London. The body wrap on average was average. The therapist did not explained much about the treatment. Nice thing was she offered me magazines to read while I was wrapped.
KCUK is in an excellent position in Solhull Town Centre and is really nicely decorated and the treatment rooms and beauty area upstairs is really spacious, clean and comfortable. I had the universal contour wrap and the therapist was really good. I
Bought the voucher for my mum who thoroughly enjoyed the treatment. I booked myself in for something as well and found the whole experience to be wonderful. Fabulous staff, fabulous building...can't wait to visit again!
Lovely spa - modern, clean and well lit. We were given robes, slippers and drinks vouchers on arrival which were all unexpected and also greatly appreciated.
My only disappointment was the treatment itself. The wrap itself was fine but I expected a more effective head massage whilst I was wrapped up and a more thorough application of body products after as opposed to just a simple light application of body oil.
Tanya is very professional and skillful. She takes her time. There was no rush at all. I felt so relaxed after the treatment. I enjoyed the proper pampering a lot. Although it's not very close to where I live, I would come back again.
Okay went on a groupon deal for massage, facial, wrap. First of all I would like to say not easy to get a appointment because they are busy and secondly not the best place to find! The salon is small and cosy with lots of staff attending to clients. It has a nice warm feeling and the staff are very friendly and of all ages. We were shown into a double room with low lights and spa music playing. The treatments were really nice and relaxing. My only complaint is you can here the phone ring and they had a wedding party waiting so they were a little loud. Overall I would return because they have some amazing deals and these girls do know what they are doing. The two girls that did our treatments had been in the industry for years and admitted they were the old chicks! We left feeling very cozy relaxed and happy! Not a bad deal for £29...Thanks Girls and thanks Groupon.
Went to this salon with a friend for a pure bliss package and was really impressed! we paid £29 for four treatments and was totally pampered. The salon is busy but once you get in the treatment room they really pamper you. You have to book a few weeks in advance because they offer great packages at brilliant prices but its worth it. I felt really relaxed and happy I got such a good deal and it wasn't a rubbish package. They upgrade their website often with deals so I am always checking to go for some more relaxation time!
Lovely treatment and a professional service - first time I've had a treatment in a salon rather than in a spa facility and pleasantly surprised Easy to find and nearby parking Only criticism was that little bits of converstaions could be heard whilst having my treatment but that aside it was surprisingly relaxing after a long day at work
Great all round. GReat faclities all really clean. Body wrap was great by a great therapist. Had such fun. Lunch was great too, really great food . Had a really great relaxing time and was great fun really recommend the placce
What a great deal - went with four friends on a groupon offer where we picked 3 treatments for £20 and we were all blown away. Fantastic little salon with great staff! The sunbeds are out of this world so hi tech! We were all really impressed with all our treatments and would highly recommend. Not the easiest place to find so make sure you check before you head out.
This was given to me as a birthday present and as it turned out it was one of the best birthday presents every. I will recommend the Spa and treaments to friends and family.
Great treatment at a very nice health club. I went and took one of the pilates classes at the health club before my treatment and after the treatment i went and used the pool, and sauna.
The therapist was really good, and the treatment was pure bliss.
I, for one, will be coming back.
Couldn't speak more highly of our thearpist Rebecca. She was accomodating, polite and very professional. Both her facial and body treatments were exceptionally good.
The only place the spa falls down a bit is in the facilities. It is more like a few treatment rooms attached to a gym than an actual spa so I would recommend that you go only if you have treatments lined up, rather than a full day's relaxation.
Thank you Simply Healing for my life changing and life saving experience and for all the love and kindness I have experienced in this truly unique sanctuary of health. Ella Y
This was a lovely treat, something I would not normally do. I used the leisure facilities first and then had my treatment afterwards. I probably allowed myself a bit too long as the pool is quite small so I didn't spend long swimming but the sauna, steam and jacuzzi were nice and although not luxurious it was a relaxing experience. I got a lovely robe and fluffy towels too. I went on a Monday night and it was nice and quiet - not sure how busy it gets at the weekend. The treatment was lovely, relaxing music in the background and my therapist was very good. I had never had a body wrap before but it was a really relaxing experience - definitely recommended.
Over all i was disapointed with my spa / treatment experiences . I expect a hotel of the standard to have a better facilities and more experienced staff. To expensive for the overall experience and not a good range of treatments.
HAD A REALLY GOOD TIME, I WAS TREATED REALLY WELL AND FELT VERY COMFORTABLE AT ALL TIMES. THE STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY AND THE PLACE AS VERY CLEAN AND NICE.
I have never been to a place like this before so I was very nervous, but I cannot fault it, the staff are so lovely and they made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the start.
All my treatments were lovely, the place is beautiful with some lovely country walks to do when i wasn't being pampered.
The juices were delicious Vivien is a very clever lady, and I learnt so much from her so that now I can go home and make some for myself.
I was very sad to leave but happy that I lost 8 pounds :) and i have so much more energy now, I just hope I can keep it all up until I go back.
I would definately recommend it, what a fantastic place!
Fantastic value, nice friendly staff, great therapist, I even had the opportunity to buy the deal again & got one for my daughter too!!! Excellent...cant wait to go back fab :-)
Thank goodness for Sleeping Beauty...for what would the Highlands be without it? When I found myself living in the frozen north having come from the relatively warm climes of the south of England I did wonder where on earth I was going to find a good salon. But a stroke of sheer luck I picked the right number in the phone book straight off. The Sleeping Beauty girls are lovely and do everything they can to make you comfortable...I have had nearly all of their treatments now and while some are inevitably better than others I can truly say that they must be one of the best local salons in the UK.
Their forte is Eyelashes extensions - make sure you ask for Rebecca, she is quick and the extensions last forever and look great. The Spray tan is also good...a freind from London visited and she thought it was the best she had ever had. Aromatherapy massages are good too, and but don't expect to feel dramatically differnt afterwards. the Thai Massage is terribly good though.
The Salon is perfectly nice - it could perhaps do with a little design attention to make it feel a little more relaxing, but the prices reflect the location and for an all-round experience it can't be beaten in the area.
If you are in need of a treat and find yourself in the highands...definitely stop at Sleeping Beauty...it much more fun than looking for the monster in the loch!
This wasnt my cup of tea. Booked it as a surprise visit with my girlfriend. It wasn't very private. In the relaxation room there were 5 single relaxation beds. there were more than 4 couples at the time we were there. People kept coming in and out, thus not that relaxing. There was no jacuzzi. The treatments was not bad. the steam aromatherapy was private at least with you putting mud on each other then entering the steam room. The body wrap was relaxing but basic. SO all in all out of what you book you get 30 mins max private time with your partner. for the £150 odd that i paid, this wasnt what i expected.
Treatments went on for ages and felt like a very luxurious surroundings. I Would recommend this Spa and treatment. Everything was explained well and the relaxation room was so nice and cosy with snacks and heated stone beds. I was quite happy to sit there for hours!
I won a competition through a local newspaper for a mum and princess day @ Waterfall Spa.. what an amazing day!! will complete full review when i have more time.. only stumbled on this !
I can never say anything against Bliss - it is just perfect all around. The treatment, the therapists, the products, the lounge, the reception, the robes, etc. It is just the way a spa should be. Relaxing and simple.
Hi, the staff seemed really unfriendly!
She very much resented the cheapness of the offer on wahanda and that no one booked a course after. Its fine to think this but not talk about it during the treatment and the fact she is not making any money! And that Wahanda take 30percent profit!
Nice venue! As soon as I booked the appointment she didn't have very good customer service on the phone... I have used Wahanda before and the other place Scin where I went for a massage were lovely so I feel validated in having something to compare it too...
Xxx
After getting a tad lost getting there, I arrived a bit late. Wasn't an issue, and was whisked down to the treatment rooms. Treatment was good - not sure if I would pay full price as wasn't sold on its effectiveness (as I had the love handler deal), but definitely will return for some other treatments as facilities were great and therapist very good.
We went there for a body wrap the woman who did it for us was very hepful she did not keep us waiting and she explained everything for us take measurements and put this weird liquid with some fabric arround our bodies and make us wear an astronautic suit , at least it looked like, so the heat was kept and the treatment would work we were on them for 45 min and then she remove the for us and take measurements again, and it was true we did measured less inches but I have to say it dis not last more than a week...
The venue was easy to find within Virgin Active off Kensington High Street, The Spa is not huge But the ambience was good and my therapist was friendly and informative. The treatment included exfoliation, a mud wrap and a facial. It was a lovely relaxing treatment........ and I'd certainly have it again. Also bought some products to take home and try .
The treatment that I had at Bliss beauty salon was the Universal contour wrap. The therapist was really friendly but I cant really say much about the treatment I did not really notice a difference. This my have been because I just had the one treatment rather than a course of three. However I wasnt measured before or after the treatment which I guess should really have been done if the body wrap is supposed to cause some 'inch loss'.
As many other people, I found this was a shabby and run down place. The first impression was quite unpleasant, the place was not clean however. I had a Universal Contour Wrap and I had to tell the operator twice to be careful because the patch was too hot. Also I was not measured before and after the treatment so I could not know if I really had any inch loss as guaranteed by the treatment. As far as I can see, I had no improvement from the treatment at all. I won't get there again.
This place is really down to earth and has a real trendy setting in a top notch location. Receptionist was really helpful as she gave me directions from South Kensington St. Everyone in Bliss had a happy positive aura about them making you feel welcome and comfortable. Julie the therapist was superb really professional and friendly and certainly put me at ease as I had never had a treatment like this before. We interacted really well and definitely recommend this venue and certainly will visit there again. Thanks again Julie for making my day really enjoyable.
I took my sister-in-law for a treat as she visiting with her teenage son and normally we do things for him so thought it would be a nice change to do something for her too. We had the aroma decadence package which included the mud ritual, body scrub, massage and body wrap. We also had use of the sauna, steam room and scented showers. Neither of us had been to a spa before so we didn't know what to expect. The staff were very friendly, and explained the process clearly. The spa was really nice and we felt very relaxed, which was needed after a day shopping on Oxford St! The treatments were all very good, we particularly enjoyed the mud ritual, and everything together left our skin feeling wonderfully soft and smooth. We felt well looked-after and extremely relaxed in the great atmosphere of the spa. All in all, we very much enjoyed our experience, it was great value, and I would definately do it again.
A bit apprehensive due to other reviewers' complaints about the place looking shabby, I was pleasantly surprised. Granted, it could do with a bit of maintenance in some places, but in general it looked pleasant and was clean. The one gripe I had was that there were no washable rubber mats to sit on in the steam room, nor a little wipe to clean your place with. Considering that lots of other people have sat there sweating - yucky.
The therapy itself was lovely, and the therapist friendly and knowledgeable. Very relaxing and my skin did feel like silk afterwards. It was a lovely touch that I got towels, a bathrobe and slippers to then go into the pool area. I would recommend this treatment.
Lovely staff very clean and friendly atmosphere would definatly recommend the body polish my skin felt so smooth after and the therapist was lovely the body wrap was also very nice :)
This place is fantastic, good location, easy to find! I enjoyed every minute, all treatments are just wonderful, Irina is a top professional. I'd recommend her beauty salon to all and I'll be looking forward to my next visit.
I was really looking forward to this Spa day I have never been to Bannatyne's in Russell Square . The outside needs to be kept swept there was a lot of rubbish around the entrance. The female locker rooms need a intensive cleaning /maintenance programme put in place immediately, the tiles were in desperate need of a good scrubbing and regrouting. There was lots of mould in the corners of the shower I used. Someone had tried to reattach the shower gel holder several times, but not in the original postion, so the wall had quite a few holes in it. Also the soap holder was covered in months of grime it has been allowed to build up. The Jacuzzi had parts of the plastic surround missing ,and wires were sticking out, and the rim of the jacuzzi was heavily scaled. The ceiling in shower near the pool has mouldly damp patches, and is flaking in other places. There are large Brown and Black patches on the ceiling tiles around the pool. And the toilet near the therapy room the skirting board was filthy covered in a lot of dirt.
I want to end on a positive note The pool was beautiful the sauna and steam room were excellent . Michelle my therapist was professional and the body wrap technique was great I totally relaxed and fell asleep , the reception staff were lovely and the older gentleman with long hair who got me extra was helpful. The saving grace of this spa is this staff a most valuable commodity I would be proud if they worked for me they all deserve a pay rise. But I could not recommend this spa to friends in it current condition nor would I visit again until all the faults I have stated are rectified.
I have been going to medspa beauty clinic since they opened in 2009, it's situated next to Notting Hill Gate Station. I tried many treatments, one of my favourite is universal contour wrap and hydrafacial. Recently I have startted Soprano laser hair removal Brazilian and Underarms. The staff are very professional, clinic is very clean. They always have something nice and exciting like gift voucher for your birthday, loyalty cards... and the Prices are very keen too.
Myself and a friend visited Verbena spa for the "two for one tuesday" offer and it was fantastic value for money! We received 2 1 hour treatments (body wrap and facial) which were bothe lovely and also had full use of the facilities, including the outdoor heated pool and hot tub, which were fab!
The spa is set in a lovely setting, with the gardens being well maintained and very aesthetically pleasing.
The staff were very attentive and looked after us throughout our stay and we felt truly relaxed and recharged by the time we left - which was our main objective!
Would definately visit again and next time stay overnight!
The wrap really worked and I could see a difference as soon as I left the salon. I was really pleased with the service I received and would definately recommend the salon to others. I am even considering going back to undertake a course of treatments.
I went in for a universal contour wrap, although I was short on time, the therapist was wonderful, and I missed out the measurements process (which I did not want anyway). Overall, therapist was highly professional and I felt at ease. She talked me through the whole process and it was certainly an experience. I plan on booking myself in for another one in the next few days :) my issue was parking! As I had never been to that place of Birmingham before, finding it was a little difficult but receptionist was very handy (its on the main road!) but ended up leaving my car in a residental area about 5 min walk away. Other than that, waiting area is a bit small, I'd dread to think what it would be like on a busy day, but I guess most of their treatments are done by bookings. Overall, I liked it.. so much so, I am going back, and will book myself in for a few more treatments too :)
Lovely experience. Shame the offer wasn't available for the weekend as it was such a rush from work to get to the salon.
Wrap was really nice and the coconut wrap was luxurious
friendly therapist, nice relaxing room, made you feel relaxed, was there nearly 2 hours which flew by, had a herbal tea after body wrap which was nice, advice given on skin care after facial. overall a pleasant experience!
The spa facilities were great and I enjoyed relaxing in the pool and sauna. The body wrap was not relaxing at all. Unknown to me, I was given the last appointment of the day which meant it had to be cut short to allow time to close up and also that the therapist was just wanting the day to hurry up and end.
I had a lovely experience here, the reception staff at the health club and the therapists were extremely helpful and friendly and the silk body wrap had me drifting off in no time. A very relaxing visit.
The day was enjoyable. I felt the therapist could have done a bit more. The facilities were fantastic especially the sauna. The staff were helpful and friendly! Will definitely go back.
The salon is quite small and in need of some modernisation. Finding parking was also an issue. The therapist was very professional however and the treatment itself was good however I was informed that as I had a Mobdeal voucher I would not be measured which is usually integral to the Contour Inch Loss Wrap so I was rather disappointed that this was not made apparent at the time of booking.
I found the silk wrap quite relaxing although I would not have paid the full price for it to be honest. Ideally I wanted to use the facilities prior to having the treatments but got to the club too late so left straight after. Would recommend for facials.
I had the body contour wrap and didn't really know what to expect. I was wrapped up like a mummy and left for 30mins. It wasn't a relaxing exerience but its not supposed to be. I think it would be a good if you were due to go to a party or something but as a one off i'm not sure how effective it was.
I bought some spa treatments for my birthday after being recommended by my facial therapist and I was absolutely delighted by the whole experience. I arrived slightly flustered because I was looking for somewhere to park and then got a little lost but the therapists were lovely and I felt settled almost immediately. The treatments were amazing (they use Decleor products) and I bought a few products afterwards to take home. They are a little on the pricey side but the experience and floating out the door like you had wings on your back more than make up for it and it is nice to treat yourself once in a while!
I got this Body Wrap and Facial voucher as a birthday gift and it was great. I was treated by Simone who was extremely friendly and helpful. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed as I enjoyed the treatment. The body wrap was a strange experience, as I was covered in this special mud and then wrapped up in cling film and towels and my skin felt extremely hot. Afterwards my skin felt super soft and smooth, it was magic! The facial was also great. I have some acne and I think it made my skin smoother and it looked much clearer the next day. Shame these treatments don't have a lasting effect.
The atmosphere was nice and realxed but the venue itself is not very inspiring. It is in the small basement of T&G hairdressers and it looks as it sounds. However the room was your typical beauty salon room, with low light and relaxing music.
I was happy this was an offer voucher because when I looked at the prices they seemed rather steep for what you get. I guess you are paying for the location but I thought you could probably get these treatments elsewhere for much cheaper.
Overall I was very pleased mainly thanks to Simone's friendly service.
Couldn't have been a nicer day. Staff, treatment and surroundings all great. Would recommend this to anyone who fancies a day out with a friend. Also well worth having a treatment while you're there
This Beauty Essence location is a bit hard to find, tucked in a shopping enclave off of Poultry. The staff was very accommodating, even though I was running late after getting lost! The salon itself is somewhat spartan -- they've invested in quality products and service rather than empty ambiance. One nice detail is that there's no music playing, as at other spas, so you're not driven mad by "relaxing" loops of flute music. The salt scrub was a bit of a quick job, though I was late, and that may have been the reason for the rush. They have showers on site, so you don't go home gritty. Their laser technicians are professional and knowledgeable, very willing to take their time with you and make sure you're comfortable and happy with your treatment. Great place for a pick-me-up, even if it's not the kind of spa that can make you melt to bits.
Will definitely go back again and the treatment was fantastic as was my therapist. Found the Spa totally relaxing with everything to hand to make your visit both memorable and enjoyable.
What an amazing experience! We arrived and were greeted by very friendly staff and a delicious fresh fruit platter. We were then shown to our own private steam rasuul room with private shower and mud and face mask to apply. It was wonderfully relaxing and a great treat! After we had finished we were given a glass of champagne! I will def be going back here :O)
I bought a deal for a Guinot Hydradermie Facial, a 1 hour massage and a detox body wrap through Groupon. Like someone else said, I had some trouble getting an appointment in the first instance, but this isn't really anyone's fault if the deal has been very popular. However what could've been helped is the treatment I received when I got there. I had already had my appointment cancelled once due to a therapist being sick, but on the day of my appointment they telephoned to ask if I could arrive half an hour early. I said it was unlikely, but I would try. I got there 20 minutes before my appointment, having tried my best to help them out, but was then left waiting for a further 45 minutes. The salon itself is far from glamourous, tucked away in a very uninviting looking industrial block. They have tried their best to make the treatment rooms seem appealing by painting them lilac and using soft lighting, fake flower arrangements, relaxing music etc, but you're still in what is essentially a breeze block cell. Once I got in, it was evident they were in a serious rush, as many people were arriving for treatments and they were running well behind time. My treatments were rushed, with two people working on me at the same time in a rather haphazard fashion - not relaxing. The lady who did my facial was very keen to know if I'd had many facials or treatments in the past, and I am pretty sure this was so she could skimp on some areas of my hydradermie treatment to get me out quicker - certainly there were no tools used to stimulate my skin with "mild galvanic currents", as all the literature I had had time to read in their foyer about this treatment said there should have been. Still, my skin felt nice afterwards, but it was nothing I couldn't have achieved at home given the same products. I didn't really feel the facialist did much more than plop a bit of product on my skin, rub it in and leave me to it! My face was massaged very briefly, but that was it. The body massage was very soft and barely more than the sort of pressure needed to rub in moisturiser - not unpleasant, but not what I call a massage. The very inexperienced therapist also talked all the way through it, and clearly hadn't read my booking in form as she started working on my bad knee which I had specifically asked not be touched, even clarifying this with one of them before the treatment started! Fortunately the pressure was very light, so this wasn't a big deal. I was going to ask her to stop, but she was talking so much I couldn't get a word in! The body wrap was OK, but I can't say I felt much of a difference. I was wrapped in a plastic sheet, not bandages, and again I am not entirely sure whether this was normal for this treatment, or if they were just trying to get me out as quickly as possibly because they didn't think I'd know the difference. I'd like to clarify that I am not normally a moaner, and even now I feel a bit bad writing this as the girls were nice, but it really wasn't the experience I was expecting and I could not reccomend this salon to anyone. I will not be returning.
I had the chocolate and cherries jubilee body treatment and yes, it was as scrumpcious as it sounds! The best thing about it was I was covered in this lovely smelling (almost edible as it is organic) paste without adding on a single calorie!!
My therapist Jenny was wonderful, I had a relaxing foot massage while waiting for the chocolatey goodness to seep deep into my skin. I honestly felt good enough to eat even after!
Thoroughly recommend this guilt free treat!
Staff was very nice, the place was comfortable and relaxing. The treatment was well explained, the experience was unique, as this was my first wrap, not sure about the result, but it was my own fault, as I went for a week of holiday afterwards, didn't really follow the instruction.
Chelsea Harbour Amida Spa and Clinic is a great place. It is good value for money when you go through Wahanda. Whenever there is a deal on for this particular spa I always go for it as I know it wont disappoint.
Everyone should try here.
Had the Mama Mia Bootcamp and although the therapist was good I am glad that I hadn't paid the full price for such a therapy. It was not much more than a few creams and a tiny bit of massage...
I went for a chocolate body wrap and mini facial using a KGB deals voucher. The chocolate was like chocolate sauce but runnier, thinly applied and warm when it touched my skin. I thought it was going to be a thick chocolate paste. Anyway, the body wrap was very relaxing and I thoroughly enjoyed being pampered. The therapist was friendly and knew exactly what she was doing. The facial left my skin silky soft . I would go there again for further treatments.
i had the body wrap treatment and it gave a slight change in my size. it did give a bit more of a result in the appearance and condition of my skin. as a weight loss aid it didn't provide as much of a result as i would've liked but would potentially try it again
Beautiful spa in a fantastic location. The Lodge is truly the nicest place to stay in Stowe. I've stayed at all of the other resorts, and many of the Inns, and The Lodge remains my favorite by far. The staff in the hotel, restuarant and spa are kind, professional, prompt and knowledgeable. Scheduling staff for the spa are very creative and accommodating. The relaxation room is lovely, with fireplaces, the standard fruit, waters and teas, and boasts beautiful views of the mountain. The chairs are exceptionally comfortable and the lovely chenille throws are cozy and soft. The spa facilities are fantastically clean, well-stocked with everything you could ever want, private and the locker area boasts its own whirlpool, steam and dry saunas. The therapists are well-trained, personable, and ensure you are relaxed and pleased with the service you've received. I'm definitely looking forward to going back soon!
Amazing! Clean, efficient, funky and modern. Great value for money with the Wahanda offer. I had the 'Love Handler' treatment which included massage, wrap and a knot reducing, stress releasing shoulder massage. Great therapist - my only moan is that the seating in the lounge area could be more comfy.
More Bliss deals please Wahanda!
Generally happy with the treatment and the therapist, maybe would have used a bit thicker layer of mud. Would not call two masks a mini-facial thought, more like two mini-masks really. There was small confusion about Wahanda voucher, receptionists not sure what to do with it. Would have appreaciated a rubbish bin in the bathroom. Overall happy, will come back.
The treatment that I had was the chocolate and cherries body treatment. I really enjoyed it and as it was on the mobdeal for £15 it was great value too. The therapist that I had was andrea she was very friendly and explained the treatment to me before she started. She even made me a hot chocolate with marshmallows after which was really nice :) .
I can't praise this facility enough. The spa was fab and second to none (very clean). The rooms were lovely and just what you would expect at a country house hotel. Comfortable lounge with roaring fire with fruit, papers and water. Very relaxing. Staff were great too. Very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. The treatment was a bit disappointing but spa facilities made up for that. The grounds are beautiful so lots of walking (bikes also available) really tranquil. Can't wait to go back.
i love this spa and the staff are super professional and so nice - the problems caused by virgin active premises this time - the therapist tried hard to resolve - so this time it was not so perfect as usual - however i will be back soon as possible and am sure it will all be perfect again
My first professional body wrap. The therapist was friendly and attentive and performed the treatment really well. The staff were friendly and gave a lot of give advice and information. The only set back for me was the location! Otherwise, a great service and a great treatment!
Great facilities. Helpful and very friendly staff and with Wahanda price an amazing value! I sincerely recommend this venue to anyone. Also it was very easy to book which is a bonus. Great central London location with South Kensington tube near bye. Do not miss this deal!!
the place is amazing, the staff are really friendly. i am not sure how much good my treatment actually did but overall i had a lovely afternoon and some good advice from the therapist.
My therapist (Heather) was excellent. She talked me through the whole process and the treatment delivered good results. The spa is luxurious and welcoming with immaculate changing areas and a pleasant atmosphere.
I have actually been here a few times over several months, but I became more and more dissatisfied each time until I decided to stop going altogether. The body wraps are very nice once they are on and the therapist gives you a nice mini facial and head massage whilst you wait. But up to that point it's not very pleasant. The room becomes very cold when not wearing anything and they never give me a big towel after a shower (body wrap) so I would be freezing after coming out of the shower every time. And then the draping was always minimal. I also didn't appreciate the manager at reception recommending creams for the cellulite on my bum in front of other clients. As for the massages, they was not done to my liking but I gave it a couple of visits just to make sure it wasnt an off day for the therapist. After the second time, which was exactly like the first, I decided to try another therapist (who I liked better) and I think the Spa was offended by that somehow as they told me the alternative therapist was more junior. The pedi I've just had once, and it was very average. I did it myself two weeks later and my partner and I both agreed that I did a better job. overall, I wouldnt recommend, but it's not terrible if you are desperate or have fairly low expectations.
I've been to this spa twice now. First time I was very impressed by the ambience and quality of the staff and decor and the toilertries provided in the changing facilities. The pool was unusual and still small as this is after all London where space is a premium. There wasn't a really relaxing place to lounge in as most of the lounge chairs were around the small pool and often peoplle left all their swimming towels and have dripped all over those chairs.
They provide high quality Bamford brand toiletries in there and it was luxurious. The receptionist was very polite, warm and welcoming. They explained all the way all the steps in my facial and massage.Hwever, the massage was not up to snuff. Bear in mind I paid full price for my treatments and this is a 5 star spa. So it wasn't the quality I expect for that price. I had to keep reminding the massage therapist of the pressure I wanted and at the end of the massage, I didn't get that nice feeling you get when you are all relaxed and the knots are worked out. Facial was also average.
I went back a second time as I was staying at the hotel and had their mani and pedi and this was way more up to snuff and value for money in the sense that I got brilliant results for the money paid. A good mani and pedi can last up to 2-3 weeks without much chipping and your cuticles won't grow back as quickly if they have done it properly. My mani lasted for 3+ weeks without any major chipping. that is the quality I'm talking about.
Overall facilites are worth it. It's got a nice steam room near the pool. just lacking a real relaxing area.
Gina Conway's salon in Wimbledon offered the most beautiful, luxurious and tranquil environment. Spotlessly clean, facilities of the highest quality. The staff are wonderful, cheerful, helpful, professional.
I can't recommend GC enough, you'll get the most luxurious treatment in an amazingly relaxing environment, you'll leave walking on air!
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! Simply Healing is a haven from the mad world outside. The moment you step inside you are met with an oasis of calm. A log fire burning in the fire in the hall, beautiful furnishings, and an indescribable energy filling every space.
I only stayed for two nights but what miracles were worked! I lost 5lbs and 2 inches off my waist. The excesses of Christmas and the New Year were gone. I start the year cleansed, chilled and glowing. Inside and out.
Vivien and her team are so kind and caring. I am grateful to them for making me feel so special and loved.
I can't wait to go back. It is the best.
With love
Lynn
I have the mobdeal for £90 for Three Cellulite Reducing Endermologie Lipomassages at Brazilian by Brazilian. Good location, good treatment. Sometimes treatment time varied a little - but I was satisfied overall. Not sure if it made that much different to cellulite appearance, and it hurt a little in places... but it was a nice pre-holiday treat
Reception staff can be a little inflexible, depending on who it is. Came for the sauna, steam room etc. facilities. After an hour or so, we wanted to go out and grab a bite to eat before we came back for our treatments, but were told we wouldn't be allowed back in! Spa itself was wet in places and not altogether pleasant but treatment rooms were very nice. Would go back for treatments only.
I decided to experience a contour wrap to continue the 'pamper me month' as I turned 40. When I arrived I was the only customer. The receptionist/therapist was pleasant and friendly. Once she explain the procedure and got me to fill in a questionaire, I was told strip down. Wearing only a pair of diposable undies she began wrapping me in thick, hot bandages soaked in some form of clay looking substance. Once completed I had to lie down for an hour and relax to allow the treatment to work. Even though I had a sweat suit and a robe on, and a blanket placed over me, I was very cold and started to shiver. overall I was told I lost 71/2 inches all over. Apparently that was very impressive for a first time user even though I actually don't feel or can see the difference. The venue is old and needs a fresh look. I don't think I will be visiting the salon again due to the fact it took me over an hour and a half to get there.
I went with my bf for New Years Day. It was a lovely experience overall. As soon as you enter the spa you get a total feel for the relaxation, with the lovely scented aromas and music to put you right in the mood. The staff are really friendly and you feel right at ease. The relaxation room was bliss.. could have layed there for hours after our mud experience! The sauna was lovely too. Now getting to the mud experience... hmm mixed feelings. The products were great and you could really see the difference to your skin... silky smooth. However the way it is advertised as a romantic treatment you can do together..putting the mud etc on each other... but it wasnt like that at all. As in all they only give you 20 mins for the actual treatment. Hence the idea of taking your time to put mud on each other did not happen. Instead it was more like a very quick slap of the products all over yourself to get into the steam chamber asap. Inside the chamber we both expected a huge sofa like seat to sit together. However there were two stone like chairs on either side.. so you couldnt even sit together to make it a romantic experience let alone see each other! The showering after was ok and overall the whole experience was enjoyable.
The first impressions weren't great, it is in a slightly odd side offshoot of a building, there is no loo in the main place so you have to go upstairs to go to the loo and the decor is all a bit dishelved. There wasnt any receptionist just one person running it on her own. However she was very good. Did the measurements, wrapped me in the clay soaked bandages. The bandages didn't look like they were clean though and I'd be surprised if they were sterilised between people. This was my first wrap and the process wasn't particularly pleasant or relaxing. Once wrapped, placed in a silver sweat suit I was transferred to another room, which was badly lit with a flip chart in and i was faced with a choice of lying on a completely flat bed with a spotlight in my face or perch on a stool. I perched and then was moved to another room when the therapist came back and realised that I was pretty uncomfortable. Then after 45 mins of waiting I was moved back to the original room. All that moved would have been funny if it weren't for having to move all my clothes etc with me each time.
The results were good I lost 14.5 inches overall across my body. My thighs were noticeably smaller. I wish they stay that way. The therapist was very nice and was efficient.
Good, clean venue though not the most centrally located. I went for the contour wrap treatment hoping to notice a difference after. I am small anyway, so perhaps this wasn't the best treatment for me to see any noticeable difference.
Although it can be hard to get an appointment the staff are so warm, welcoming and friendly.
I had the Universal Contour wrap and was looked after very well although I didn't lose many inches just 6.2 overall including the half ones here and there, I felt confident the staff knew what they were doing and was very comfortable.
I nice venue , a refreshing change from a chain.
I thought I had better things to do on the morning of 31 Dec 2010- but went along as had booked the deal some time ago & time was running out to use it. What can I say? - IT WAS FABULOUS!!!! Fantastic ambience, beautiful place with brilliant facilities. The staff were helpful & very friendly. Have been raving about it ever since & will definitely be going back. Just need some offers now!
I had a wonderfully relaxing day Spa London York Hall (a marine algae body wrap, plus entry to the thermal spa). The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxed. It was the perfect antidote to the busyness of the Christmas holidays.
I didn't manage to totally immerse myself in the plunge pool but tried everything else!
The rest room is also a bonus - magazines, day beds, and I bought a huge reasonably priced fruit salad and naughty flapjack for my lunch.
I also had a marine algae body wrap, with Tanya, using Thalgo products, which was a wonderful treatment and my skin felt very soft afterwards. I hadn't realised it included a salt scrub, so that was a real bonus as I'm useless at exfoliating!
All in all, an excellent experience for £25!
The only downside for me was that it would have been nice to have had a jacuzzi to wallow in, but perhaps that's not really part of the thermal spa set up.
I've been to the spa before and loved the relaxing approach to popping in and out of the various heated/humid/relaxing spaces and rooms. They didn't have the complimentary apples and herbal teas like last time I was there. However, they have kept the prices the same (since the vat increase) and the chilled water/ cucumber infused water and lemon infused water tanks were still on tap in the relaxation room.
Combined with the excellent treatment I felt like royalty in the spa and look forward to returning soon.
I came for the body wrap at DIBI mid-December last year. If you don't know the area the place can be easily overlooked but luckily I knew where I was going.
My therapist was absolutely fantastic, bubbly & very friendly. She answered all my questions about body treatment and afterwards about different lotions and creams on offer in the salon.
It was a very pleasant experience and if I didn't live so far from Hendon I would definitely go back for other treatments!
Thank-you Wahanda for the opportunity to try the York Hall Spa. From the outside, the building looks run-down and not particularly pleasing...but as soon as you enter the spa, the whole ambience changed. We were greeted with a slightly reserved recptionist, but when asked, we were given a tour of the place. We were shown all the different rooms and how they worked and I am glad we did or we would not have had a clue!!!
We had lunch which was a very generous helping of fruit and pannini....not so sure we would do lunch again, though as it is a little restricted.
With all that said, the fact that this is a council owned place is amazing....and the value was fantastic. The best thing about the day was the wrap itself. We both slept astonishingly well after the treatment and would definitely consider having another again.

My wife and I were looking for a cosy hotel in a quiet area which provided good food, outstanding service and a spa center.Having heard about the hotel from some acquantainces we decided to try it out.
Located just outside the picturesque town of Tenderten this hotel provided us with what we were looking for. Wandering through this little town we discovered a coffeeshop called Savannah which offers the most scrumptuous chocolate cakes and a hot pot of steaming coffee.
The room we were given baffled us with its space, two lovely comfortable beds and a view over the golfcourse fit for a king. The service was discreet, the food excellent and the facilities clean and encouraging a relaxing stay.
Coming from Belgium we were a bit sceptical about the food but luckily we were mistaken on this point: it was excellent, healthy and copious. As they say in French: chapeau! A must for young and old.
We decided to ask the staff about the holiday village of Loubas the hotel promotes. Apparently it is beautifully situated and the price fair, located in the dordogne. We will try it out this summer, that's for sure.
Thanks to all the staff, especially the chef who in my humble opinion exceeds all expectations.
I went with some family members just before Christmas and I was very impressed.
The facilities were excellent - the steam rooms were particularly good. All the staff members were helpful and went the extra mile.
The body wrap was excellent too - so relaxing.
I will be returning.
Well located salon, with lovely decor, therapist was very attentive and helpful, advised that a one off wrap would not be beneficial, but that I was more likely to need a few to get any real benefit, Sin felt lovely and smooth after wrap but no noticeable contouring as she said, I would definately go again to this particular salon
The venue is downstairs inTONI and GUY the facilities are very good and I noticed that they use ENVIRON
products which I know to be excellent. The therapist was lovely and she knew what she was doing. I had a course of three treatments and I would certainly recommend it.
Pretty good overall as a package. Scrub was nice - not used Dove professional before but it was pretty good. Not as luxurious as some other stuff on the market but skin felt nice afterwards. After a scrub you get wrapped up in tinfoil blankets and get a mini facial and scalp massage - this was nice and really relaxing. Then head for the shower to wash off the scrub and therapist puts final oil on you. The scrub was nice - heated up as it went on. As a package it's pretty good value and the therapist Holly was really nice. Spa area was clean and fairly standard as spa facilities go. Room was a bit cold after the shower but it was subzero outside to this could have contributed.
Overall, I'd recommend as a mini-treat but if you want out and out luxury then you'd need to look at alternatives I think. But definitely value and worth considering. Not totally convinced on Dove professional range though but this is a personal preference.
A great location, but that's where the good things ended! On the day I went I was the only person in the salon (not necessarily a bad thing). The therapist wrapped me in the 'bandages' which looked like they'd been used about 1000 times before (and that the last time they were washed had been quite a while ago) and then she disappeared half way through and reappeared just in time to remove the wrappings later. The room was cold and could have done with a bit of a clean, as could the rest of the salon, but the decor was nice enough - definitely not plush like most places nowadays, but it had character - and the therapist was sweet and sounded knowledgeable, if a little disinterested! Wouldn't hurry back.
I found this treatment quite relaxing (if restrictive!) as I literally could not do anything for an hour or so. The treatment worked really well, it made my skin feel nice and moisturised and I lost a few inches overall.
Relaxing environment, quiet and soothing.
I have been suffering from eczema all my life, and have spent thousands of dollars on doctors, dieticians and etc. I've been to facialists many times before, but never have I experienced a facial which included such quality products (my incredibly super sensitive skin was not a bit bothered when I got Microdermabarsion facial, in fact, it looked wonderful at the end of the treatment) and also Sara is soooo knowledgeable about what she is doing. I love her very soothing touch. Sara has been my best allied in assisting me to take care of my skin and the skin of my family for the last 8 years. Through comprehensive education, carefully customized products, and EXCELLENTE (beyond any words) service. People consistently underestimate my age by at least 10 years, a mistake I welcome more and more! I feel better about myself, and that is truly priceless. You must visit Sara at Sunsara spa.
Magicflower Spa is easy to get to on either the Northern or Jubilee line and is in a Mews in the quaint setting of Bellsize Village. As soon as you walk through the door you are hit with a sense of relaxation. The treatment was no different, relaxing, effective and excellent value for money thanks to this deal. The staff were friendly and the therapist was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. An excellent experience overall and one that I would definitely rebook if the offer came up again.
The entrance is subtle. After buzzing through the door, it was difficult to find the salon. I walked all the way to the top, before turning round and found it on the lower floor. The atmosphere was a little lacking- there was no-one there.
A therapist measured me (loosely and a little casually) and wrapped me and left me to it in the treatment room. Later, another therapist came back to unwrap me, and re-measured me (tightly but more thoroughly). Her method was very different to that of the first therapist, so the measurement in inches that they said I had lost I did not think was truly reflective, which was disappointing. My clothes did not feel any different, as I have heard other people mention after having this treatment.
If you had this treatment, you should ensure you have the same person doing the measurements before and after, to give you confidence that it is accurate.
I had 2 body wraps with Jasmine, my therapist, and already after the first one there where significant results.
You do feel like a mummy but it's sure worth it. It only takes an hour after you have been all tightly wrapped up.
Suggestions do not eat before you go and drink plenty of water so that you can sweat more!!!
This was a body wrap but not the sort that I was expecting. Previously I have been wrapped around the torso with muddy bandages and put on an execise machine and each sesion has shown inch loss results. However, this was really a massage experience as the therapist kneaded in algae (or so I was told!) over my body and then clipped a heated plastic blanket thingy around my body while she massaged my head. I believe that this was a lighter version of their "proper" body wrap session which involves more time and clingfilm and is more expensive. The saving grace here though was the massage, which was of the powerful kneading kind all over my body and was really really good. I had a kind of sore and toxic head when I went in and it was the perfect remedy - I think that l kept falling asleep! Value was hard to assess as the Wahanda voucher makes such a dent in the price. With a voucher it was unbeatable value and I'd travel some distance for another massage like the one I had!
This was a fab treatment, the surroundings were lovely, the therapist attentive, friendly, approachable and highly professional. The treatment started with a scrub, then a shower, then being painted with a pre algae paste, the wrap itself, then wrapped in plastic, a blanket and all laying on a heated table. A head massage whilst I cooked, then a shower, then moisturise. Excellent value, especially with use of the other facilities. The only downside was the shower tray over flowed a little!
If like me you are used to going to actual Spas to have your treatment going to a hair salon in the basement of an old building will be a shock to the system, no relaxing vibe. I thought about leaving a couple of times.
The salon was dark, with very dark walls and decor which i think were black and very low lighting and the room where i had treatment was the same but small and windowless, it was a hot day i needed to cool down, also it was not particularly relaxing, I could not see much either.
The therapist applied the clay wraps well and basically did a great job, also giving post treatment information etc. I
Overall the wrap was ok, but the location did not suit me , i was just glad i had not paid full price for the treatment in this salon venue.
The salon seemed fine from the outside and inside, however going down the stairs for the treatment was a little strange. The therapist was quite abrupt and seemed absent minded.
The experience was very interesting and the treatment felt good while being performed, however many more sessions were needed to see any actual difference in my thighs.
I would recommend buying the whole treatment regime rather than a one off.
We turned up late to this place, quite hard to find. Even so the therepist was very understanding.
The whole experience is very amusing to do with someone else, you start by looking like a mummy then end up like something from a Nasa space mission.
The treatment itself I didn't really feel I had lost any weight although I did feel better the next day, maybe all the toxins really did flush from my system.
I thoroughly enjoyed my treatment at Spa London York Hall (a marine algae body wrap, plus entry to the thermal spa). This place is a hidden gem. The thermal spa is a great place to recharge, and going with friends also allows great quality time for a catch up. The spa is gorgeous, and there is plenty of space to move around at your leisure and try the different rooms. The plunge pool has to be tried - life affirming! The rest room is also a treat - magazines, day beds, unlimited lemon and cucumber water and herbal teas, and apples. I also had a marine algae body wrap, with Tanya, using Thalgo products. I was so well looked after, she allowed me to fully relax, and not a moment of my hour was wasted (whilst the body mask and wrap was on, I got an amazing head massage). It was a wonderful treatment and my skin felt very soft afterwards. I'd really recommend Spa London York Hall for an inexpensive way to relax and treat yourself.
No problems with booking, friendly staff. Had a great day out with friends & the treatment was fantastic, I felt so clean & soft & relaxed would definitely go back-excellent value! :-)
Very friendly, the room was small but clean so fine. Treament was lovely would recemommend it. The offer was 10 pound so I well worth every penny. My skin was so soft afterwards.
Firstly it was very difficult to get a booking, I bought this deal on 8 Sep and the 1st evening appointment I could get was 5 Nov. Secondly, the location was rather far out of the way. Lastly, although the therapist was professional and friendly, I dont believe the treatment works at all. All it was is you are wrapped in hot cloth tightly and you lie down for about an hour. Although the treatment for for 2 hours, 30 minutes was spent on measuring your body parts before & after. Another 30 mins wrapping up.
Verdict : no I wont be going again even if there is a better deal available. Better to spend my £ on a massage & preferably somewhere not so far out of the way.
Body wrap was great here, definitely recommend if you're ever in Mancs.
I was amazed that it really worked. My skin felt wonderful afterwards. My therapist was great as well. The only problem I encountered was finding the place. I would definitely recommend them to a friend!
The stuff was ver welcoming and friendly. The salon is located in a very central location just behind Oxford street which is very convinient and you could do treatments during your lunch break. I enjoyed the treatment and felt my skin got much smoother. But it was a bit cold in the room and the treatment room was very small and there were no where to put my clothes except as on the floor. Though the terapist was nice and chatty and explained everything about the treatment.
The spa was easy to find and was situated in a wonderfully historic 'public pool and baths' building, which appealed to me immediately. However the spa itself is a very modern part of the building downstairs but that didn't spoil it as it was well designed and most relaxing with a great choice of thermal steam rooms and saunas and also a large, clean, well maintained recuperating and relaxing area with water and apples freely available. As for the treatment - well mine was unfortunately interrupted twice due to a faulty shower in the treatment room and the need to change rooms; much to the embarrassment of the therapist who was most apologetic. However this could not possibly reduce the 5 stars I give this treatment as it was first class, unhurried and marvellously relaxing. Best of all was the unexpected head massage while the algae wrap treatment took effect. As well as my skin feeling fantastic, I felt on top of the world when I left Spa London and I will most certainly return and recommend it to others.
I have been living in this area for last two months, and this was my fourth visit, the deals are so good that I don't need to go through big sales on Wahanda.
I see a lot of value in this SPA, though small it is very exclusive. They only take limited appointments so there is no question of too many people at the same time. Jacuzzi and size of steam room plus sauna are quite reasonable, I have noticed people jumping into six people Jacuzzi inundating the area, it is clearly prescribed to enter the Jacuzzi one at a time but customers rarely read the notice.
I think the staff is very accommodative, the overall ambiance is just great and a nice healthy salad food with a 50% discount tops of my what could otherwise be a rough day. Well done and don't be put off by some of the bean counters that continue to bicker about everything on face of this earth.
In my opinion ,when you go to spa you need to feel happy, relaxed and pampered.that is what i feel when i go there.the staff is so kind and friendly, the treatments are fabulous and the decor is just in place.perfectly balanced.
i personally must admit that they have just started and are on a great move.i would like to appreciate their effort rather criticizing on minute things.
good work river well being ....KEEP IT UP!
i'll be back again...
Not a very good experience at all of this hotel and spa. Didn't get off to a great start, when booking we were told that the hotel would call back in 10 minutes however didn't receive so had to call them back the next day. Upon arrival the receptionist was rude and unhelpful, felt she spoke down to us and it was left to a beauty therapist to give us a tour and explanation of the hotels facilities. Both my girlfriend and I had massages, mine was significantly better than hers, so quality does depend on the therapist. Swimming pool, sauna and steam facilities looked good but swimming pool really irritated my eyes making for an incredibly uncomfortable and unbearable evening. A staff member even commented that it was a regular occurrence. On a positive note the food was great and head waiter was very good. Personally we wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend to others.
I found Rookery Hall a very pleasant spa in a beautiful setting. It was extremely quiet during the week with only 2 other people using the facilities so it was very relaxing. Staff were very welcoming. I highly recommend Rookery Hall
it was interesting experience, but a little bit strange. The salon is little and looks inexpensive. But the staff is nice. About the result I'm not sure because of not measuring it. But I think that could be good to do sometimes.
I had a treatment involving ten minutes in the steam room (which was lovely and relaxing), a milk body cocoon and a full body massage.
The products used felt and smelt lovely and I felt very relaxed and pampered the whole time. The only downside was the price - at £99 it was quite expensive, but a great special treat. After the body cocoon, I had a shower and got to try out some more products while in there!
The massage was good, but I would have liked a bit more pressure to have been used on my shoulders and neck. I might go for a deep tissue massage next time.
The reception area is very nice and the smells that hits you when you enter is gorgeous, making you feel peaceful and relaxed, however you may have to wait a little while before being seen to as the spa is very popular. Once you have been given your bath robe, towel and slippers and go into the spa area you can't help but feel peaceful, the spa area is very nice and clean, the only thing missing would be a Jacuzzi, but there is so much else to do this is only a minor thing. I chose to have the 55 min Marine Algae Body Wrap which was just devine, the therapist was very warm and friendly and made my time very tranquil and relaxing, I almost fell asleep at one point. The treatment itself was fairly messy, but what would you expect from a mud wrap but the shower facilities whilst having the treatment was good and my skin felt great afterwards. I would definately recommend the treatment and the spa, it is great value for money even without a deal.
This isnt the biggest place in the world and the body wrap isnt particularly a relaxing 'spa' feeling so be prepared for that. I didnt lose as many inches as i was expecting and certainly wouldnt have paid full price for the result it provided. Down sides were the wraps were sometimes cold on You could hear the music and chatter from outside but as i said, this isnt a 'relaxing' spa day....Overall I probably would not do this again given the opportunity. Therapist was lovely though.
We had a great time only problem it went to quick. Would definitely go back and most certainly recommend to friends. Can't wait for the next offer I will definitely be booking it up.
Don’t waste your money. This wrap is not worth a penny. Vouchers Wahanda, they cut corners to get money off you. Consistency of the wrap was socked in milky sea clay. I lay in it for 1 hour. Lost 0 Wasted money on it.
False customer service: On the surface good, inside/intentions not good.
I have also paid full prise, service was much better, results was also better. There is a stigma to the voucher.
I went with a friend and we use our voucher, The spa is nice and clean. I had a body wrap which was great, it leave the skin very smooth. The therapist was friendly but a bit too abrupt and could have been a bit more gentle. Overall experience was great.
The staff were very friendly and answered my questions willingly, also giving good after care advice. I found the atmosphere suitably relaxing. I had the bod wrap, be warned it's 2 hours long but I was able to read and rest for the duration. The weight loss effects were minimal but I was aware that the treatment was primarily to remove toxins. I would revisit the salon for further treatments.
To be honest, before I stepped inside the comfortable space of the Antoinette Boudoir Spa,I had done my research. I had never been much of a spa enthusiast, but knew some kind of stress intervention was in order. The spa was the only one that offered discounts at a lesser price than their competitors from the very beginning. The staff is always courteous, polite and respectful. Always welcoming and concerned about your well being. The service is fairly flawless. I have had appointments with many members of the staff and each appointment has always been a very positive experience. I look forward to returning and I would recommend Antoinette Boudoir spa to anyone.
went here for a universal contour wrap on a Wahanda mobdeal. The spa is located on a busy road next door to a Chinese takeaway so the ambience wasn't amazing, but my therapist was very efficient and explained everything fully, and took great care of me.
As for the treatment, I was skeptical that it could work but WOW is did! Good lord! I think inlet nearly an inch off each thigh. I say I THINK because I wasn't actually measured properly, I was told that because of my size: 5'10" size 10- they couldn't guarrantee the 6 inch loss advertised. I was a little disappointed by this, especially as it is ne'er mentioned in any of the advertising apparently you have to be like a size 14 for the guarantee to come into effect.
Anyway, overally the treatment was great! And the spa perfectly fine.
The lady who runs this is very nice. The venue is a little odd - down the stairs at the back of Toni & Guy and only seemed to be run by one person. The treatment was overall nice - involved a rolling machine which is supposed to remove cellulite. I had to wear an odd see-through outfit! The massage was actually very pleasant, but whether it really removes cellulite, I'm not sure. You need a lot of sessions if so. I have decided my cellulite isn't that bad after all! The lady said I had a nice bum, so that was good enough for me!!
I went on monday in covent garden for a set of treatments at superficial. i got the vouchers for a body wrap and a microdermabrasion.i was very satisfied about the treatments as i lost 8inch from my body and got a nice clean lighter face skin. as i was about to go, one therapist just finished an eyelash extension treatment, i saw the client and i thought... well why not??so i asked the therapist if i could have my eyelashes done and she said yes. after like 1h and 15min, when i looked in the mirror i felt like wow!!no more mascara no more make up. the new look i got after the treatment made me feel so good, i was so happy. she told me i should go back every 3weeks for in fill.i will definetly take care more about my new eyelashes i got. thanks to the salon's staff for ''pimpin''' me!!
having joined wannand i have had lots of treatments at different beauty salons but the afternoon at alexandra house was the most relaxing and enjoyable by far. The staff really looked after myself and the rest of our party the massage was most relaxing the hand wax was a bit different but would have it again. it again ny time and would visI wouls recommend a day here a
Thanks to Superficial I’ve just had one of the best nights out in years. I visited the salon with my friend for a body-wrap; it took us a while to find because from the outside it doesn’t look like a salon.
I was amazed at the results of my body wrap I decided to visit again to try their microdermabrasion facial after chatting to one of their clients who’d just received the treatment – it was incredible my skin is amazing and so much smoother and blemish free it totally boosted my confidence.
Yesterday I had hair extensions done because I had an awards ceremony to host that evening. I can not believe the results I look incredible. The whole experience was amazing, the beauticians catered to my every need they made me feel like a queen, the clients were so much fun. I left the salon buzzing and even got wolf whistled which hasn’t happened to me for a long time.
My husband wouldn’t leave me alone when I got home he was like a love sick puppy, my 15 year old daughter say’s she’s proud to have such a ‘yummy mummy’ and at the awards ceremony I was so the bell of the ball, I don’t think I received such compliments on my wedding day – I wish I’d known Superficial when I was getting married
The Polynesian Spa is at the centre of Rotorua and it's very easy to spot. I decided to come here on a bit of a whim after a long day touring the geothermal activity of the local area. When you go in, I got the feeling of it being a leisure centre, with that sort of decor and more than a few kids lurking about because I went in the evening. However, once you mention that you are there for spa treatments, you are shown through into a much quiter, and more ambient lounge, where you select which treatments you would like.
It was a busy evening so after I selected my treatment - a hot mud wrap followed by a short massage - they asked if i would mind waiting, and while I waited i could use their therapy pools. The receptionist showed me to the changing room and were everything was (there were showers, many cubicles, free towels, it was a good changing room - and warm!) and then i proceeded to the pools.
The 'Priest Pools' as they are called, because of the history of the spa, were a very nice way to spend 45 minutes. They are at varying degrees of temperature and they are right by Lake Rotorua, so it is a pleasantly atmospheric way to watch the sun set. They are very busy though, and when i was there I was certainly not the only tourist in the spa.
There is a small waiting room before all the treatment rooms you enter a few minutes before your time, and I was called promptly by a very nice therapist to a warm treatment room. She was very friendly and chatty, and as i told her this was my first mud treatment she told me what she was going to do. The mud goes on and then three sheets are wrapped around you and you are told to relax, which is a lot easier said than done! This treatment is seriously not recommended for claustrophobics or anyone who would immensely dislike how it might feel to be a jacket potato. After 15 minutes the therapist knocks on the door and helps to initially unwrap you (get your arms free and stuff) before running the shower for you and directing you in to clean it all off. Not all of it will come off (as i found out later) but you are then laid down for an express massage, from your toes to your fingers, which was very relaxing especially after the wrap.
It's a really nice place and its one of the most notable spas in Rotorua, but I would probably suggest in hindsight that booking in advance at all times of the year would be a good idea. Leave two or three hours for it.
I recomend this salon to everyone.I had my brody wrap last week and it was fantastic. a bit hard to find the place but once you find it you feel that everything worth. going downstairs feels a bit wird, but entering the salon i was shocked.i loved the decorations, the mix between old and unfashioned designs, with a bit of trendy and fashioned details. the salon's atmophere makes you feel very comfortable. i lost 5.5 inches, but the skinny i am i dont think i had from where to lose. it was my first bodywrap and i did it just to see what happens. i'm very satisfied about the therapist, salon and treatment.to bad that its with no effect for me.next treatment ... microdermabrasion!
Loved my visit to Superficial yesterday. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The girl who did my body wrap was really nice and new her stuff she even informed me I must not shower that night and very quick showers for the next 4 days (noone has ever told me that before). I lost 9inch which was great. I will be returning for sure.
I had a Body wrap with superficial today and it was excellent. I have had several body wraps before so i knew what to expect. The staff were really friendly and my therpist was excellent. I was wrapped in less than 10 minutes and after an hour in my bandages i lost 11 inches! the music was quite loud but I was really well looked after. This is quite a quirky salon and i would def go back again.
I am so glad that I found Maui Mobile Spa for my daughters Maui wedding! They flawlessly took care of all the details, from the private beach wedding and catering, to my daughters hair and makeup design. And of course we all got massage and organic spa treatments! We especially loved the traditional wedding henna/mehndi! I was a bit skeptical at first, but my daughter was all for it. I was stunned to see how beautiful and feminine the mehndi art was. Mahalo Maui Mobile Spa for creating a stress free, memorable celebration for our whole family!
Sincerely,
Ana Whyte
Brazilian by brazilian in an oasis in the middle of busy Mayfair.
The therapist is very friendly as well as competent making you fell relaxed and in very good hands!! Definitely worth it!!! However, you should not expect big changes with only one treatment as a course is needed. :)
I bought a Body Wrap through mobdeals, for only £28. The treatment is supposed to last 1h30, but after 45mn, I was "unwrapped" and told I could leave.
The wrap I did involves clay and water, so it is a little messy and when I asked about shower facilities, I was told there was no shower. All they offered me was some kitchen roll to wipe myself. Classy.
The treatment room looks old and a bit neglected and the place could do with some sprucing up.
I thought the contour wrap was a bit of a waste of time. I didnt see any results, or feel any different post the wrap. I certainly wouldnt pay full price for this. Worth a try, but I wouldnt do it again -
Went with a friend, we both had different treatments. I recieved a body wrap which i have had done before somewhere else. I must say the therapist was very friendly and done a full consultation, she gave me lots of information and advice with regard to the treatment. I lost 8.1 inches in total. My friend had a cellulite treatment call Endermolgy the therapist was very knowlegable and talked in length about the benfits of the treatment. Gave great advice about how many was needed but was not pushy for her to buy a course. Gave leaflets with regard to the treatment and a useful web address for futher information. All staff at the salon were friendly, the salon was not clinical like some that you go to and the whole time we were there we felt relaxed and like we had been going for months. Both my friend and i would highly recommend a visit to this salon. We have already booked for more treatments.
The therapist was very nice and professional but basically the treatment did not work. I lost a total of 1.1 inches (so basically one inch added up from 0.1 from the many areas of my body which also could be due to measuring error so basically I was there 1hr 45min and did not lose anything) and it was not up to the high level as another wrap I have had in the past (where I did get results). I did not pay very much for this so I got what I paid for but I would not go back to this location nor would I have this treatment again.
The therapist was very helpful and took time to discuss the treatment, also giving advice. Worth the monry
Stayed for my birthday after having a baby 8 weeks prior. Brilliant value for money, had excellent treatment from staff especially Duty Manager Maggie, she made our stay extra special by going that extra mile. Me and my husband had several treatments of which we were pleased, found the food excellent and we both throughly enjoyed our stay. I shall be taking my mum this month too.
This place is hard to find, and even harder to actually get in the building. The salon is located in a dark basement that smelt of damp and had no ambience at all. The therapist appeared to be training another on me and so was telling her what to do, how to wrap, etc. Unfortunately this resulted in one side of me being wrapped tightly and the other really rather loosely and falling down.
I had to swap rooms halfway through. Thankfully there was no one in the hair salon/reception area as I walked across wrapped in bandages and wearing what looked like a space suit.
Was really quite grateful to get through the treatment and leave the salon.
Would not recommend and am rather hesitant about using Wahanda again.
The hotel and grounds are great.
Superb view from room 212. In fact I think all rooms overlook the 18 hole golf course and woods.
The pool, jacuzzi and changing rooms were immaculate!
We didnt have the body wrap, we had a dry float but it is not listed in the drop selction. You have to manually move yourself so I do not consider it worth the £30 for 20 minutes price tag. Although it is relaxing once you get a motion going.
We will deffinately return!
The salon on Neal St is a very discreet doorway that seems to include many offices and other businesses. Its hard to locate the salon when inside and the hallways are very tatey and unclean-I ended up on the top floor and entering an office by mistake.Once inside the salon it is small and adequatly furnised but nothing special.I wasnt seen to quickly as the only person there was giving a manicure lesson to a student-turns out its a school as well.I asked where the loo's were and they were back upstairs .The toilets are communal and used by the other businesses !! They were disgusting with NO loo paper.Once the treatment started it was ok as was the therapist. Not a great experience.
When the bandages came off, my body was covered in other people's hair - it was sooo gross, I felt sick. It did not matter that the hair "was clean - it's from when they wash the towels & the bandages together". Added to that I couldn't find the place, it smelt musty and damp when I eventually managed to find it, was monumentally uncomfortable and obviously I was unable to climb up on to the table to lay down and wait for an hour unaided, and assistance was not forthcoming. The room was horrid, I'm pretty sure there was no soothing music, the towels were not soft and luxurious but rather more practical and the overall experience was a bit rubbish. Shame, because my therapist was super sweet.
The venue was a little difficult to find and had no windows. The staff were professional and friendly and I had an enjoyable and relaxing experience. It was my first wrap and it was ok however I don't think I'd rush back for another.
I couldn’t edit my original review from yesterday so decided to post a new one.
Having measured myself this morning, I have to lower down the scores – unless there’s something wrong with my measuring tape? I do feel trimmed but I definitely haven’t lost 10,5 inches as this morning I discovered my measurements are either the same as those taken by the therapist before the treatment or just slightly better but definitely not as good as those in the 'after' column. And I did stick to the do's and don'ts so really don’t understand what happened there.
Also, I only read the salon reviews after my treatment (won’t make that mistake again) and I must say that either I was very lucky or the manager took all those negative comments seriously and improved things. I didn’t have problems with finding the place (a big number on the front door and a buzzer), toilet was ok.-ish, towels and bandages seemed to be soft and clean (no hair), no one was on a ciggie break, no one smelled like they just had one either and maybe they didn’t have scented candles but it didn’t smell bad in there. I agree it’s not a posh/luxurious or cosy place but there’s nothing wrong with it either.
Anyway, I won’t be going for another Universal Body Contour wrap and would not recommend it. I guess I was too thrilled with the false(?) results... Or expected the impossible?
Can anyone recommend a good body firming treatment?
The therapists were nice enough but the whole experience was a bit weird. I was ushered into a room and they told me to take off my clothes and then they wrapped the muddy bandages around me without explanation. They told me what was happening when I asked but otherwise, they just went on with it. Same thing when taking it off and the measuring. Just handed me the measurements and waved. Not really a luxurious spa experience but then again, it wasn't luxury priced either, it was ok.
Staff here were lovely, very friendly and made you feel very welcome. I had a body wrap and the staff were very attentive and I had a drink and lots to read during the treatment. The treatment facilities are fairly basic but if you're after results opposed to a relaxing a luxurious environment then Superfical is fine for the purpose. Based just on busy Neal St in Covent Garden, it's a little tucked away as isn't labelled very well on the door, but I managed to find eventually.
The wrap guarantees a 6 inch loss - this was not the case! I los virtually nothing after a hugely uncomfortable and unpleasant experience! Left in cold wet muddy bandages for a full hour! The therapist then measured me and completely fudged the results. Hugely disappointing experience - I could probably argue my case and go back again as they didnt meet the guarantee but to be honest I wouldnt want to repeat the experience!
I went there with my friend to treat her for a birthday present and although at the very beginning I was not sure of the location I thought it was a fantastic discovery once you get in. Fabulous in every sense! The services, the ambience....
I had three treatments.. a exfoliation, chocolate wrap and a facial... The theapaist was lovely.. the salon is very lovely and soothing.. I left feeling like a princess with ultra smooth skin and glowing face
Do not go here! this is honestly the worst salon experience I have ever had!! I asked to be unwrapped after 2 minute as i did not feel comfortable. The place itself was filthy and run down. I only got through the door as the therapist was on a cigarette break!...nice.The bathroom was filthy..with an over flowing bin and hair in the shower plug hole. The therapist herself was intimidating and unfriendly. when she was wrapping me i actually had to ask if the wraps were clean as there were big hairs all over them ..to which i got no reply! then when i asked her what exactly she was putting on my body she said she didnt know what it was called in my language... it is really discomforting not knowing what someone is putting on your skin. so i made my excuses and went. This has completely put me off buying off wahanda again. i was booked in for another treatment with another salon that also doesnt have great reviews when you look closer so am a bit dubious to the quality of salons. I think you would be better off paying the full price and going somewhere of a decent standard!
As a professional therapist and facialist myself I admit I'm probably the worst kind of client to have walk through the door!
However time and time again I have gone to Ragdale Hall as my No.1 choice destination for a thorough "chill out". Two or three night here feels as restorative as a week away anywhere else.
Breakfast served in bed, lunches in your dressing gowns, dinner too if you wish!
Check in - dressing gown on, chill out! you only need to get dressed properly again to go home.l
Wonderful new Thermal Experience near the pool area, little candle lit water cave-pods, crystal steam rooms - heaven.
Great therapists too.
I went with my friend. The spa was a perfect place to unwind & relax. I bought a Wahanda Mob Deal...£25 for a 55mins Marine Algae body wrap & Thermal spa experience which was a bargain...but without this deal it would normally cost £75 which I don't think is worth it! The treatment room, reception area, changing room & thermal rooms were very clean & to a high standard & my therapist Tiffany was lovely.
Overall this experience was really good & I would definately recommend this spa to my friends.
The place was ridiculously hard to find, and there was no buzzer, so I was about to leave when one of the therapists returned from break, so she let me in and escorted me into the basement. It smelt musty, the place was tatty and the towels were hard and scratchy. When the treatment was over and the bandages removed I felt sick because there were bits of hair all over me from numerous peoples' haircuts where the wrap bandages were washed with the towels.
Whilst my therapist was really sweet and friendly, the treatment itself was uncomfortable, smelt horrendous and was not particularly well handled - by which I mean, after mummifying me in smelly-mud bandages and putting me into a the waterproof suit, I was left in the room on my tod, with some mags and a massage table with the back up, so it was like a seat...but I wasn't able to sit down in all the bandages. I poked my head out the door to get some help and there was no one around so I tried to lower the back rest thing to make it flat and then clamber on up there on my own, and pulled a muscle in my back which has resulted in my GP sending me to physio.
In summary, lovely therapist, yuk treatment, not an experience I'd like to repeat and not a place I'm sure I'd be able to find again, even if I wanted to...which I don't.
The Spa facilities are really nice - sauna, two steam rooms, various hot rooms and beds to lie on and then the ice facilities - ice fountain, monsoon shower, plunge pool. My friend and I spent an hour and a half in the spa bit and left feeling very relaxed.
We then had marine body wraps - starts with a salt exfoliating rub which I found a bit abrasive. The marine mud smelt really fishy, would have been nice to have had some essential oils in or something to mask the smell a bit. The experience was quite relaxing but my therapist kept putting things away and opening cupboards throughout which kind of broke up the relaxing mood a bit!
Overall pleased with the experience but more because of the spa facilities than the treatment.
the Superficial body wrap deal was my first wahanda purchase. i was very excited to try out the salon and the treatment. but oh my... what a disappointment.
1. the salon - hard to find and poorly furnished.
2. treatment room - no dimmed lights, no scented candles, no background music - imgaine lying there for an hour with the wrap on ... thank heavens for my ipod
3. the staff - did not take the time out to explain the treatment at all.
4. the most disgusting thing was, after they unwrapped me, i asked them whether i could have a towel to wipe off the mud - lets just say soon after i started wiping my legs, i realised that the towel has just been used by a hair dresser... never seen my legs so hairy! gotta say though, they did offer proper wipes afterwards.
superficial.... never again!
The venue was good, and therapist great.
The table was pre-heated which was lovely, however when cocooned in the wrap, you feel the cold more on your front (despite been loaded with extra towels) as your back is being heated. I recommend to have the table on a low setting so there isnt too much of a contrast between your back and front.
Despite this, the treatment was great and I would definately do this again!
I really enjoyed my day, although my original thoughts it would be too far to travel but was only 25 min by train from charing cross, on arrival I was greated with a smile and explained how my day would be, I was then given a robe and some flip flops, I just lazed about for about 8 hrs, going from sauna to steam room to plunge pool to jacuzzi pool (about 4 jacuzzi;s in one), had my first treatment of a body wrap which was great, then had a facial which was great, of course I fell asleep half way through the treatment....great place woiuld love to go back.....
The whole experience was lovely - very relaxing and calming - the time just flew by and I couldn't believe my treatment had taken as long as it was supposed to!!!! Facilities were excellent and great privacy - Dove Spas are truly for 'real women' so you never feel you should have a 'perfect' body and can just enjoy your treatments without feeling less than GORGEOUS!!
Amazing value for Money! The therapist knew exactly which pressure to use and knead out the knots and stress. The hydrotherapy pool has a water funnel which also massages backs.
I was a bit apprehensive when I first realised the salon was within a hairdressers after already purchased the treatment but it is actually in the basement away from the main salon. It was also a quiet day when I went so that helped. There are only two treatment rooms but they were both rather generous sizes. I'd say it could get quite noisy on a busy day- not the most relaxing of environments. But I suppose this salon caters more for quicker beauty treatments rather than luxurious massages so it doesn't really matter!
I had the Endermologie Lipomassage which is supposed to reduce cellulite.
On arrival Leda, the therapist, showed me to the waiting area whilst she finished dealing with another customer and gave me some 'before' and 'after' photographs of someone who had completed a course of treatments. She then showed me in to a treatment room and started. She first assessed the areas of concern (the back of my thighs and bottom) and advised on what type of treatment would suit me best. She then left the room whilst I struggled into the rather fetching full body 'stocking' (for want of a better word!) which protects the skin from the sucking(!) and pinching(!) motion of the machine. During the session Leda was very friendly and professional and explained what it did and how. She also explained the treatment would not work as a one-off and you would have to commit to a course of treatments in order to get the benefits.
Overall, I found I got used to the strange sensation of the treatment and was eventually quite relaxing. At full price, I couldn't commit to a course and would not be able to afford it (she advised my problem areas could be cleared up in 10 sessions, twice a week). But I did find that my thighs were smoother and felt firmer only after one session!
Leda the therapist was lovely, and the treatment Cellulite Reducing Endermologie Lipomassage was relaxing, although at times slightly painful and uncomfortable. To get full benefit of the treatment a course of 10 was really needed so minimal results with this 1 offer session. But the before and after photographs of people who had had the treament looked very good.
I had an endermologie treatment it was really good th etherapist was very friendly and thourough, endermologie is the best treatment for cellulite it changes your body shape, its generally very expensive in london but her prices were very reasonable for endermologie.
Easy to find location and the owner is lovely and knowledgeable. I had the Wahanda MOB deal cellulite reducing massage. I think that with a course it could be effective (she has a number of before and after pictures from previous clients) - so am saving up!
Fantastic therapist - was very welcoming and professional despite being severely under pressure! Only member of staff in the salon as a result of recent staff losses which meant she was running the place single handed. The salon could have been doing with a good spring-clean but this is hardly surprising given the lack of staff. Was pleased with spray tan but not so keen on my body wrap as didn't really have any noticeable difference.
Went with a friend again, was very impressed with the new look, outside looks really good now.
Both of us tried threading, my eyebrow shape got better and came out very neat and tidy, my family liked it.
But, my friend had sensitive skin so got her eyebrows waxed, but loved the manicure.
I lost 10 inches with universal contour wrap, I eneded up buying a course of 3 wraps. I wish I had more time to visit Rosebery Rooms more often.
The Beach Plum Spa is absolutely HORRENDOUS. This was my first spa experience and I was very much looking forward to a relaxing detox but instead was rushed through the treatments I had ordered, so much so that I was actually stressed out by the rapidity with which they shepherded me through the processes.
The attitude of the masseuse assigned to me was colder than the "peppermint cream" (read: IcyHot) she slathered on my neck and shoulders, and it literally took me a full hour of making small talk with her during my treatments to warm her up to me. Continuing with the theme of frigidity, he room I was in was so cold that she had to turn on a heat lamp so I would stop shivering, and it's not so easy to forget the world and relax when you're sizzling under a 300 watt meat cooker.
My friend and I had requested to be in the same room which they had originally said they would do, but upon arriving, we were shuttled into different rooms, a thorn in the side of our romantic girls weekend. They then proceeded to cut our treatments short by a good 30 minutes, without any word of warning, because we had arrived slightly late. The treatment itself was sub-par and hurried; I could do a better job at home myself for a tenth of the cost.
To top it all off, when we requested a discount on the treatments because they were cut short, we were verbally abused and accused of being irresponsible because we were late to our appointment. In my humble opinion, the customer always comes first and is always right in a service organization, and if for some reason something goes wrong or there's a scheduling snafu, the company should do everything in its power to compensate the customer for the trouble caused (especially when we're shelling out $300 a piece of our hard-earned money). This is definitely NOT the mantra a the Beach Plum Spa, where it seems frustration and finger-pointing are their idea of customer service.
At the end of the day, I felt stressed, poor, and slimy (from the low-grade body butter they had used far too liberally). So save your money, time and nerves and go somewhere else--ANYWHERE else.
I purchased the Enlighten Detox voucher as a treat for myself. I was made to feel welcome as soon as I arrived and led to the waiting/ relaxation area and offered a drink and a magazine. It was a relaxing environment with comfy white chairs. I was 10 to 15 mins early, but my therapist- Naomi arrived fairly quickly. She was very friendly and personable, and very clear in her instructions. She lead me to the changing area, showed me how to use the locker, and instructed me to undress and put on the gown. She came back promptly, and took me to the treatment room. I enjoyed the body scrub and the wrap and mini facial, the aroma was uplifting and nice. She was quite chatty, but not overly so. When my treatment was over, I needed to shower off all the mud, my skin was very soft. I was given the option of sitting in the relaxation area again, or changing back into my clothes. I was also given a pair of gloves soaked in aromatherapy oil to take with me. It was a very enjoyable, relaxing treatment, staff were all very nice, and I wouldn't hesitate to revisit this spa.
i went to essence beauty rooms with my mother as a present and had a brilliant time! the rooms are small but spacious and left feeling great. they are also very readsonable for what you get!!!
I booked a package and in an hour had a body exfoliation, mud wrap, facial and head massage. Paula the therapist was great. Afterwards I felt lovely and fresh, just what I needed!!
I'd never been to a spa before but really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to go again. Everything was really relaxing and pleasant from the lighting in the treatment room and the background music to the actual treatment and massage.
The therapist, Caroline, explained the treatments and products as well as the benefits of each before we began. I felt the treatment durations were perfectly timed - I had a package deal and spent around 1.5 hours in total. I left the spa feeling thoroughly re-vitalised, full of energy and looking forward to my next visit. I have since recommended Essential Spa to several of my friends.
I had booked body wrap and flotation treatment for me and my 2 daughters.
I was dissappointed that the treatments were not after each others and we had to wait, even 1 hour in between.
Luckyly the manager was able to arrange earlier time.
This caused us stress because my parking time was running out and we had to hurry up.
I was told on the phone by the receptionist, our spa time would be 3 hours.
Not at any point was I advised the treatments were not followed up after each others.
The Enlighten Body Detox Package at Dove Spa offers pampering at an affordable price. The package includes a full body exfoliation, body wrap and a mini facial for fraction of the price, I used this offer at the Dove Spa at Canary Riverside which provides chic/stylish environment and impressive customer service. This is the second occassion that I have been to The Dove Spa at Canary Riverside and again I have come away as a very happy customer as this was pampering in a desired environment with excellent customer service.
my girlfriend and i stayed at the hotel for a weekend spa break, i must say that having previously been to 4 other similar breaks in the Uk london beach is the most professional and enjoyable relaxing experience we have been to. The general standard is as high as it gets and we can highly recomend a visit for a weekend break... a day or halfday session just wouldnt have done!
The attention to detail is faultless and from the treatments, to the health centre and pool area we were extremely impressed.
we will definately return, superb value..
i enjoyed the treatment wished it could have lasted a bit longer, would definetly try another
great package, a friend and I went for the 2 for 1 gym and tonic which included a back exfoliation, moisturising wrap and massage--was very good value for money.
The only thing was that the massage was quite a hard one but to be fair the therapist was great and im sure she would have adjusted it if this was asked for but i decided to bear it as i knew id feel better afterwards! my friend thought this was one of the best treatments we have had so far!
I love this spa. It's set in a gorgeous Alpine village so you can wander out and eat in fabulous restaurants and peruse the shops if you get bored (but you won't). It's a funny mix of old and new - parts are still quite olde worlde Tyrolean, while other parts are all pared back minimalism but with a serious dose of comfort. I loved my bedroom with its chrome and leather chaise longue and mohair throw. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
The spa itself is all smart and gleaming and just so professional. The therapists were all stunning and I had some of the best massage I've ever had here. Be warned - Austrians aren't remotely coy and you just strip off (and may have a male masseur). You get what you need here and my therapist used kinesiotape to fix a headache and also a dodgy Achilles. He also recommended cryotherapy, which is a specialty of the spa - where you spend a few minutes in seriously subzero temperatures. It IS scary at first but the results are incredible. I limped in and nearly bounced out.
Aqua aerobics was good fun. The gym was pretty good too, if I recall.
Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. My only grouch was that it seemed odd for a health spa to allow smoking in the bar - that put me off. But otherwise, just superb.
The Spa is easy to find and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a very relaxing treatment - just what I needed!
My sister and I booked the 2 for 1 deal on the Thalgo body wrap. It was an absolutely blissful experience, perfect for a Friday evening after a long week at work. My therapist, Francesca, gave me an amazing Indian head massage while I relaxed in the wrap - I literally felt like I was floating. I had a chat with the spa manager before leaving too - she was very friendly and knowledgable. Great and professional staff.
I've already recommended this spa to family and friends - I'll definitely be going back!
I have been to Coveyheugh several times and it is always a wonderful place to retreat and recharge. The house is beautifully decorated but it still feels relaxing, like a proper home. The environment is delightful and Anne-Lise and Brian are wonderful hosts/therapists. It's also incredibly good value for money. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Only one word to describe - OUTSTANDING... I have visited Aveda salons all over the world and this is definetly the best! My girlfriend and i visited and we were blown away by the service. We had some great spa treatments and then my partner had a blow-dry to finish... Such ease! Loved it - 5 stars
As a Spa virgin, already feeling the ‘December mist’ crowding me (= pressure of work +family AND Christmas! Arghh…..), I set off for a Saturday’s treat at Grayshott with mixed feelings. I was hitching a ride as I had determined some months previously to treat a dear friend for a day’s relaxation as her 50th birthday present.
Firstly you have to understand Grayshott is tucked away in a lovely location, the brochure promises ‘peace on arrival’ and they were not wrong. Friendly staff greeted us and spotting two newbies gave us a tour of the house and facilities so we could get our bearings straight away and feel the wonderful calm ambience of the house.
The immediate winner for me was the relaxation room and associated spa area – none of the energetic golf, tennis, gym or country walking facilities for me; I wanted a day of rest …..
Over coffee we planned our day; before lunch hit the in-door pool first, then move to the steam room & sauna and & then wind down in the afternoon in the relaxation room to get us in the mood for the treatments we had booked in the afternoon. Somehow we managed to fit in a short talk about the benefits of regular exercise too.
In the pool we joined a class doing interesting things with foam dumb bells and the like – a good aqua workout. The steam room & sauna were good temperatures, nothing uncomfortably hot. By the time we slipped into lunch I had built up quite an appetite. Once I got over eating whilst still in my dressing gown (the only acceptable Spa dress) we tucked into a truly wonderful spread of food, all very light and healthy but big on taste and presentation. The relaxation room was my favourite – wonderfully comfortable day beds, where you could snuggle under a duvet and read, or I my case nod off. And then there was the lovely Tamsin waiting for me at the allotted time for my Rose Cocoon Body Wrap – heaven, four days later and I can still feel the benefit.
The hardest part about visiting Grayshott is leaving, the brochure says, ‘Health on departure’; frankly I think ‘Happy on departure’ would be more accurate. I warmly recommend a visit to Grayshott to anyone, if any husbands are stuck for Christmas present ideas here’s the answer.
I went to the Dove Spa in Epsom for the Enlighten Body Detox package. This included and all over exfoliation, then a detox body wrap, then a mini facial while the wrap was doing it's job and a body lotion to finish.
My therapist was lovely and the exfoliation part of the treatment was very enjoyable. The wrap however was awful. It contains peppermint and gets very tingly and cold. So you are lying there shivering for 20-25 minutes in a sticky mixture. Not nice! What made up for it was the mini facial and the additional head massage my therapist gave me. Very relaxing!
Dove Spa itself is quite a calming place. It's only small being in a Virgin Active so they don't have a lot of facilities. But the treatment room was lovely and serene.
They advertise their wraps as a 'life-changing experience'... well, I'm not sure I'd go quite that far, but it was certainly great!
The spa itself was large, clean and included great changing rooms with showering and steam facilities for after the treatment, while the treatment rooms were spacious, well lit and very calming.
I went for a mud envelopment wrap, which was apparently a standard ESPA one and which involved being entirely covered in mud and wrapped up in plastic (nicer than it sounds and actually quite snug), then getting a head massage and some time to relax before cleansing. While it is a full body wrap it would be fine for the more body-conscious, as the therapist did a very complicated towel-covering process (for me, actually a little too complicated, I started to feel like she was trying desperately to avoid the sight of me) to avoid any discomfort.
Thoroughly recommended. Small note- I went as part of a group, and we all chose one treatment - overall the happiest were the ones who went for a wrap or a facial, while the massage/manicure bunch were happy but not as excited as the rest of us. All of us agreed though that the spa itself was great!
i visited this spa for a number of treatments over the course of about a year-i loved everything about this spa,it is a relaxing haven of peace and tranquility, and one of my favourite things is the sauna-free if you book another treatment-£10 otherwise.theres full use of walk-in shower, includes aromatherapy shower gels/shampoos etc,towels/robes/slippers provided.also soft drinks,fruit/herbal teas, bowl of fruit provied free.WONDERFUL! I only stopped going because i moved out of county, and havent found anything as nice since!only critisism may be,that some of the treatments could be viewed as a bit pricey for the area-but on a whole MOST of the treatments are worth it.
Gorgeous, relaxing, and even though I went with my gal pal I could see why so many couples choose the Babington House as their wedding venue. It's beautiful and serene.
Our room was gorgeous and cosy. If you luck out with the weather, there's tennis and loads of jogging tracks. If not, then there's the gorgeous cowshed spa.
The spa is separated into Active and Relaxation. The active spa has an indoor and an outdoor heated pool, in addition to a sauna, aroma room and steam room. At the time of our stay, the aroma room and the sauna were out of order. Indefinitely. A bit of a let-down, but if you have booked in for a treatment at the relaxation spa, you could use the amazingly atmospheric sauna in there. It has wonderful views overlooking the vegetable garden at the back of the spa.
Cowshed facial (60 mins, £65): Great feeling and smelling products. Therapist spent ample time massaging face and head. Thoroughly relaxing and skin felt gret afterwards. As I get frequent microdermabrasion done she made sure to gently exfoliate and didn't do unneccesary extractions. No sticking me under the steamer for ages and wandering off either. The therapy room was very nicely done up too keeping to the spa's rustic theme.
Cowshed Pedicure (60 mins, £46): Cute pedicure station, equipped with little tv screens playing Devil Wears Prada on the day, with views over aforementioned veggie garden at the back of the spa. Therapist was very friendly and did a great job on cuticles, nail shape and painting. She also included exfoliation and a relaxing massage.
Cowshed Wrap (75 mins, £80): Wrap included body brushing, exfoliation, a body mask and wrap and all over moisturisation. While the wrap was on for 10 mins, the therapist gave me a head and shoulder massage. Room has a shower in it too so did not need to prance around all muddy getting in and out of showers.
Tips: don't forget your bathing suit!
I chose the Guinot aromatic body Bien Etre - Full body. This invigorating body treatment is said to tone and re-hydrate the skin using exfoliation and massage. The natural products used include an exfoliating sugar-kiwi body scrub and a blend of citrus-infused energising and toning essential oils. The best part of the session was the waist-to-knee cellulite mask treatment. After exfoliation and massage it was applied and left to firm up beneath plastic wrapping. I was expecting to have to go shower it off (which is always an inconvenience) but with this treatment, the whole thing just peels away. Much easier. My therapist even had a very nifty towel trick to enable me to roll over without being fully on display which saved my blushes.
While the mask was setting, I had a neck and shoulder massage, arm massage and foot massage. Normally I don't like people touching my feet but this was completely relaxing. If only I could be massaged every day before bed. Nothing makes you feel more ready for sleep. I was told that due to the detoxifying nature of the treatment, I should drink lots and lots of water for the following 24 hours, to help get rid of any impurities. My specialist was very soft spoken, gentle and her massage techniques were of just the right pressure. I'd recommend going to the salon if it's nearby.
My treatment cost £65 which was fair for the quality of the massage and products used. My skin definitely felt good afterward and my whole body benefited from the oils used in the massages. My only concern was the amount of time I was left to get changed and relax which must have taken a good chunk of time out of my session. I also had to wait for a good 10-15 minutes before my appointment as they were running late. Luckily it was worth the wait.
The whole experience was pleasant and relaxing. The staff were all very professional and helpful. I had an Indian Head massage, a manicure and a lavender wrap. My husband (who had not previously had any treatments and was rather shy!) had a massage, reflexology and a back wax! He was delighted with each treatment and the staff really made him feel relaxed and comfortable.
It was a great weekend and I would recommend this hotel - it was a real treat.
Mii amo is in a tremendous location in Boynton Canyon in Sedona. The facilities are spectacular and the therapists are the best I've experienced. I loved the indoor and outdoor pools, and stargazing from the outdoor whirlpool at night. The food at Mii amo is delicious, especially the blue corn waffles and smoothies in the morning, and then the filet and beet salad for dinner -- dessert was incredible, I could eat the trio of chocolates every night. I couldn't believe that you get two spa treatments per day, what an amazing deal and I experienced true bliss. The red rock hikes and cooking demonstrations were my favorite activities. And I love that they use Eminence products -- my favorite!
My first massage here was so nurturing I almost cried! The therapists are exceptional, professional but caring and kind. I've been a therapist myself for twenty years and I can honestly say the treatments were the best I've ever had.
The hotel itself is a tranquil lovely place, with friendly staff who do all they can to make one's stay fantastic. I only wish it wasn't so far away!
Can't wait to get back to this spa. It's the best spa in the UK, in my opinion. Every possible comfort or aspect of a visit to a spa, from customer service to location to food to atmosphere to decor to water temperature to warmed towels and robes - everything has been considered and attended to. The location is fantastic - ocean nearby, lovely gardens overlooked by the luncheon balcony, restaurant, relaxation rooms and treatment rooms. You can even see the gardens from the swimming pool, through massive glass windows. The treatments are phenomenal as well. My friend and I both felt so refreshed and pampered that it almost felt a disappointment to leave. There were plenty of people at the spa, but somehow it never felt crowded or crushed. Just lovely, warm and happy. I was so relaxed and comfortable there that I fell asleep in one of the relaxation rooms at one point, which is something I never do.
I noticed that if you stay at the hotel on the premises, there's an underground tunnel you can go through to get to the hotel without having to brave the elements. Just get your turkish bath experience or massage and go back to your room without leaving the warm cocoon. It's that sort of thinking that makes this spa incredibly special. Worth every penny.
I was knocked out when I first went and experienced many treatments (all of which were excellent). Aileen has made it her priority to make Dreamsday Spa a very special place for each and every individual that goes. I must say that she has well exceeded that. From the welcome when you arrive, until the good bye when you go it is a place where time stands still. She does wonders for your self esteem and well being. Every treatment I have had has been done with such care , you are made to feel so important, in my opinion, there is nowhere quite like it. Truly a "world away from the city". Can't wait for my next appointment.
I have been going to Elements Spa Since its opening In 2001. As i live nearby and have always recieved Gift Voucher for special occasions from family & Friends. Over the years i have had all Treatments listed on the current price lists and have been extremely satisfied with ever service recieved.
I was browsing online to purchase a gift voucher for a friend who lives else where, i happened to notice Elements Spa was on this website and takes wahanda vouchers. I was very suprised to see the previous review as i have too had the indian head massage sat up and i much prefer this method as the whole of the head neck and shoulder is covered as when i have been else where and laid down i have been disappointed as the nape of the neck and back of scalp is always missed.
Over these years i have introduced many family, friend & collegues to Elements Spa and never recieved negative feedback. The Family run buisness has an extremely good reputation in the local area and provides a warm welcome every visit.
We have been travelling to the Hochschober for over 30 years, initially as a young couple, then with our 3 children, now in their teens and early twenties. Having travelled for business and pleasure to top hotels in 4 continents, we keep returning to this hotel for the very high quality of its facilities, food and service. There is a uniquely comfortable atmosphere conducive to total relaxation the minute one arrives.
The resort is small, but beautiful in each season and offers a great number of outdoor opportunities at different times of the year. Whilst the mountains might not present the stunning scenery of the high alps, hiking and skiing are varied and exciting enough for a week's family holiday. They are fortunate in their micro-climate which has given us good snow every year, and the warm summers of southern Austria guarantee good sun-bathing and swimming in the lake - although that too is partially heated in the winter!
Food is exquisite, plentiful and varied, and there is a great wine list too. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. Leisure and spa facilities are extensive and spacious. Staff are highly-trained, attentive and good fun.
But you could say the same about many hotels too, so what is special about the Hochschober? Well, it's the attention to detail, the familiar, homely feel to the hotel; the fact that the staff really engage with both management and guests to ensure that the Hochschober constantly renews and improves itself. It really does offer something for everyone, from young singles to grandparents, from those who can't sit still to those who just want to curl up in front of the log fire with a book.
It's so good that we always book one year ahead to guarantee our room the next time!
I went along to Chelsea Harbour Club for a brand new treatment, the Phytomer Muddy Stones treatment. It took me a while to find the spa as I didn't know the area too well and wasn't sure how long it would take to walk - it was quite far! The club is really lovely as soon as you're inside, with a busy reception who were very helpful in directing me to the spa which is downstairs. To get to it I also had to walk past some large courts and various facilities, and it looked like it was very popular.
The spa itself was very different to the rest of the club, with a really calm atmosphere. I had to fill out a quick form about health and skincare in the spa's reception, and was then shown where to change and find my locker etc. The changing rooms were huge with plenty of showers and it was all super clean! My treatment was taking place in the hammam room so in my robe I was taken through past the gorgeous pool facilities where only a couple of people were swimming so it was really relaxed.
The room looked a little intimidating at first, with a huge heated plinth in the centre of the room. After leaving me to make myself comfortable, my lovely therapist Louisa came in and explained what the treatment involved so there'd be no surprises!
Starting with the backs of my legs, Louisa applied the mud and massaged it in to the skin. The plinth was quite uncomfortable at times as it was so hard, so my hips were slightly pushed into the surface, but otherwise it was very relaxing. Louisa also used hot stones to add to the massage experience.
After wrapping up my muddy legs, I then had the same treatment on my back and shoulders which was very soothing, and then the front of my legs and tummy were given the same treatment. When all was muddied up, I then had a mud mask on my face and neck, and an additional scalp massage which really left me feeling calm and sleepy. To wake me up again I had a refreshing spritz on my face, which was perfect after laying on such a warm surface.
Once it was all washed off my skin was left smoother than ever. I felt like I'd been completely exfoliated and moisturised all in one. The treatment was incredibly relaxing and equally as important was the great facilities and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning for some more treatments.
i have resantly descovred this beauty shop . i have had two treatmants so far and am very please with the results . the first treatment i had was a full leg wax an bikini . it was very quick an painless. i have never had this done in a salon before because im am usually a little bit embarrest but the therapist made me feel very comfortable. the second treatmant i had was a countor body wrap of wich i lost 2 inch's of my waist an a inch of each thigh . i have kept this weight of now for 2 weeks nearly . the staff were all very polite an very welcoming to me when i visited . which i think is very important . i would definatly recomend this salon to a friend. i will definatly be goin back .
I won a spa day for two at Champneys from Wahanda! Which was super lovely, especially as I never win a thing.
So my sister and I trotted down for a day of relaxation. At first we were a little bemused by the whole experience - people were wandering around in robes for God's sake! But half an hour later, we were one of those. We both had facials, massages, thalssotherapy and body wraps. We giggled through the whole day and walked away feeling like we had kick started our way into health. It was such a successful day, that we plan to do it every other month. A great day out for body, mind and girlie fun.
it was a great experience,We had a warm welcome, although we were late.. The Staff are very cheerful and so relaxed, the service was excellent, the body treatment called Hammam it is really highly recommended it is all about well being. We were very pleased with the treatments we had . The Hammam was superb My skin never looked so good We felt clean , healthy .and happy actually there is something special about the place we spent hours there while we are relaxing we been served Morrocan tea and fresh fruits , we had a lebanese mezza for late lunch. Casa Spa is a great place for get together, get pampered in a relaxed atmosphere and at a reasonable price.
I ll definitely visit this place again
I had previously stayed with Anee-lise and Brian 3 years previously. I got excellent dietary advice that I still follow to this day. This resulted in such an imporvement in my health that I am now working full time after years of ill health. BTW The colonics take a bit of getting used to but you feel so good after it is definitely worth it. Oh and the massages are the best!
Coveyheugh is almost impossible to describe. I rate it very highly because it is perfect for me. I can only say go and find out for yourself. I have been on many weekend breaks, mostly extended, at least ten visits. It is like home from home for me and when I have to leave I have mixed feelings, partly of excitement because I feel so clean and full of life and partly sadness because I know it will be at least 4 months before I can go back again! Brian and Anne Lise Miller are the kindest most caring hosts.
I normally drive up from Hertfordshire on a Thursday to arrive in time for supper. I love Anne-Lise's cooking and wish I could eat for the whole weekend but that is not what I go for. I have a colonic the next morning and the fast begins. The juices are delicious and if there any ingredients you don't like, Anne-Lise will tweak them to your taste. You have to remember this is a detox. So certain ingredients are necessary. I fast for three days, have a little to eat on the Sunday lunchtime, a bit more on the Monday morning, another colonic (which is probably my fourth by that time!) and then drive home. Not everyone has so many colonics. That is my choice.
The treatments are given with such care and concentration, one cannot help but feel energised and, above all, safe. This is not about material surroundings. It is about atmosphere and healing, as well as a feeling of ‘family’ with whoever is there with you at the time. It is always a real privilege to be at Coveyheugh. Spaces are limited – only up to half a dozen guests at a time – and the season is short. In fact I could be shooting myself in the foot here – and I’m hurrying off now to make my next booking!
I bought the Dove detox package from Wahanda earlier this month and decided to book in with the salon that was local to me in Streatham. I've lived in this area for over 5 years and never knew there was a Dove salon inside the Virgin Active until I saw the list of locations on the voucher!
The staff on the front desk were really friendly and smiley and both myself and my friend were shown round the facilities and asked to fill out a quick and easy questionaire. Our treatments were booked for 2.00pm, but we ended up waiting an extra 20 mins, as the girls were over running, but they were very apologetic and there were enough magazines to keep us amused so I didn't mind.
When my therapist Stacey led me into my treatment room, I was surprised that it was a lot larger than I had expected. It was dimly lit with candles burning making for a very warm and comfortable environment. The treatment itself started with a gentle all over body exfoliation with a brush, and then a lovely smelling Aloe Vera gel was applied, starting with my legs and working up the body. As Stacey finished applying each body area she immediately wrapped it tightly in the wrap and covered me with a blanket to keep warm. I've had a few body wraps in the past and this one was very different as the gel leaves a cooling sensation on the skin whereas most wraps have always been warming, but apparently the contrast from cold to hot is what makes this such an effective detoxing treatment. Although not uncomfortable this might not be everyone's cup of tea. Once I was all wrapped up, I had a very relaxing facial and head massage, finishing off with body cream being rubbed in once the warp was removed.
The treatment definitely left me feeling revived and my skin felt beautifully soft afterwards. There was no hard sell to buy products from either Stacey or the receptionist, which was great and as such I felt more inclined to look at the products and actually ended up buying some of the banquet facial day cream that had been used a the end of my facial. At £35 a pot it's less than half the £85 I have been spending on my Elemis cream and feels just as good!
I'd definitely go back to either this or another Dove spa as the treatment was amazing value and just as good as some of the more expensive day spas in the City.
Brian and Anne-Lise Miller are like angels, sent to rescue me from my troubles!
Anne-Lise is a wonderful Colonic Hydrotherapist and her massages are worth leaving London for alone, and Brian has helped me understand the Mind Body Connection through Kinesiology and conversations that I will never forget.
Not only do I come back from there feeling relaxed, cleansed and happy, but I learn something new about myself and my mind on each visit, I have visited regularly over the last 5 years and can safely say that what I have learnt has changed my life 100% for the better.
I can also safely say I will be visiting Brian and Anne Lise regularly for next few years, if not the rest of my life :)
As a regular visitor I would recommend Coveyheugh to anyone considering enjoying the benefits of a healthy Mind and Body. I first stayed with Brian and Anne-lise back in 2002 when they helped to start me on a wonderful journey of health, vitality and personal development. From the moment of arrival you will feel safe, cared for and relaxed in their lovely home. The grounds and surrounding countryside are beautiful and peaceful and you will be encouraged to find a quiet spot to relax. Professional, knowledgeable, inspiring and caring are just some words to describe Brain and Anne-lise. A programe specific to your needs is prepared on your arrival and you are very much encouraged to relax either in private or sit and chat with other guests in their cosy kitchen. I' ve enjoyed many hours listening, talking, laughing and learning about life and its possibilities with Brian and other guests.
The treatments are among the best I have ever experienced. Until my first visit I had tried neither fasting or colonic hydrotherapy but Anne-lise inspires trust through her caring, knowledgable approach and I am now a converted advocate to its undoubted health benefits. There is a great gym available to guests who feel energised from the treatments and Brian is always on hand to guide and assist.
I always leave Coveyheugh feeling in top condition, refreshed in body and mind and already looking forward to my next visit. I know that a stay at Coveyheugh would benefit anyone whether they are looking for physical well being or a lift to mind and spirit. For me it is the complete well being experience.
Coveyheugh House is a very beautiful place, lovely sitiuated in the country side. There is plenty opportunity for walks if weather permits. The place and surrounds feels peaceful and relaxation. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. I felt in good hands at all time. They want to give you the very best experience and treat you like an individual. Been given my own programme I felt very cared for.
I stay at Coveyheugh House for 4 days and loved every minute of it. I felt very safe and cared for by both Anne-lise, Brian and Linda. They are super people and have endless energy and time to give you. I was there for a rest and a “new beginning”. I needed time and space and I was given this without any question or pressure which was very important to me. The warm kitchen was our meeting point for our drinks and chats. I could leave the meeting point and chats at any point without feeling bad or impolite. All treatments were very caring and at NO POINT did I feel bad or uncomfortable. I had a great experience and would go back again in a minute
The most amazing Hawaii trip my family has done! Very good attention to detail!
I visited the spa for half at day as part of a week's holiday at the Spice Island Resort in Grenada. Overall I was very pleased with the experience, especially the body scrub and wrap which was followed by an amazing outside shower on the rooftop of the spa overlooking the beach. Whilst not the best spa I have visited, it certainly complemented a wonderful stay at Spice Island, which is a fabulously luxurious Caribbean retreat.
Beautiful U Day Spa is outstanding. I attended with a group of four friends to celebrate my birthday. As we walked into the salon the fragrance of essential oils and soft music immediately started to melt our tension away. The dim lights and soothing decor was relaxing to our eyes and mind. Immediately we were served with warm herbal teas or mineral water to hydrate our body while a thorough consultation was taken. During our spa treatments the couch and towels were heated for comfort and to help relax our tensed muscles.
All the therapist were smartly dressed in brown uniform and the customer service was first class. The staff were extremely attentative, we did not feel rushed, we felt cared for and each treatment was personalised to meet our needs. You feel welcomed and looked after from the minute you walk through the door to the minute you leave.
We really appreciate having this Beautiful Haven on our doorstep and we have been attending every month since 2005. We have now tried all the treatments in the brochure and rate each one 10 out of 10.
My friends and I had a fantastic time when we visited SPA SPC last month. We were welcomed by a friendly happy reception team, and received top notch treatments from their expert therapists. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the comfort of the spa atrium, followed by a fantastic wash and blow dry at the hair salon. I left feeling a million dollars!
Fantastic ambience, great decor, lovely rooms and a great relaxation area, treatments are superb & the staff we the best I have come across for a long time, considerate, caring and knowledgeable and I was not rushed out of the door after my treatments. BEST DAY SPA,
Dont take my word for it TRY IT YOURSELF!!!!!
This has to been one of the most amazing spa's I've ever been to, once you arrive at the hotel, you take a relaxing abra ride (water taxi) through their man made waterways (which are stunning) to the spa.
The private treatment rooms have private bathrooms and outside areas, everything about it is relaxing! The staff were amazing and your instantly made to feel at ease, though it a bit pricey, at the end you feel like it's money well spent.
All the treatments I had done there were great, I can't recommend them enough.
Had the trademark carrot and sesame seed wrap. Unlike any experience on this planet!! including being wrapped in hot honey milk. best of all was the all over massage at the end!
The staff were very friendly but the body scrub was rudimentary and i was left feeling grainy - although it shouldn't have been necessary my friend had to go for a shower afterwards.
The therapist was very chatty but couldn't really explain the treatments.
The pedicure was excellent - i went for a nice sparkly navy blue.
The Four Seasons committment to customer service really comes thru at this property. I went with my husband to get out of London for a weekend and I enjoyed every minute of it. The spa is great. it is relaxing and offers so many differerent treatments. The staff is friendly and the spa products are fab!
One of the more traditional country spas, Ragdale is famous far and wide for it's revolutionary treatments, top of the range therapists, varied exercise classes (70s Boogie, Billy Elliot and Line Dancing to name a few) and views across the county, so I was more than happy when I rocked up on a rainy afternoon, knowing that I wouldn't have to spend another moment in the wet and windy weather.
Not that I stayed dry for very long; the moment I spotted their impressive pool, I decided to take a dip. Often in spas, the pools can be a bit of a lost entity and are more like large baths, but Ragdale's did not disappoint. With enough space to swim or just have a splash about under the waterfall feature, it felt good to do a bit of exercise whilst I was waiting for my treatment. It also heightened my hunger pangs too which I dealt with after my water workout.
The restaurant at Ragdale is spacious to say the least and is very much like a hotel eatery in my eyes, with impressive chandeliers and silver service settings. With a huge buffet, you can pick out healthy salads or indulge in more than one course of hot food.
Once lunch was over, it was off to try out one of their signature treatments, the Avocado and Lemon Reviver. Not an exotic smoothie, but an exfoliation treatment fresh from their Natural Balance range. The scrub is made from a concoction of bran, oats, avocado and lemon oil which provides enough roughness to slough off dead skin. Warm avocados and grapefruit essence are then smoothed on before I was bound in a body wrap. Whilst I was lying there motionless, the therapist performed a pressure point scalp massage which helped to take my mind off the slightly itchy scratchy feeling of the bran and oats against my skin.
Once the head massage was over, it was into the shower to wash away all the dirt and debris before having a mixture of cocoa butter and avocado smoothed on to keep the skin soft. Although it wasn't the comfiest treatment I've had, (I felt I was impersonating a cereal bar) it did leave my skin feeling soft and it felt good knowing that the treatment had been fashioned from totally natural ingredients.
Because Ragdale Hall is a traditional health spa and so well renowned, I did feel slightly out of place at times and I think this was down to the vast scale and slightly older clientele. Although I wasn't a spa newcomer, I did find it a tad more intimidating than some of the city spas I've visited but the staff did their upmost to make me feel comfortable and relaxed at all times. Sitting on my own dressed in a towelling robe also felt like it would be more suited to a beachside bar rather than an elaborate dining room, especially when there were fully clothed folk on the table next to me!
