It was our second visit to the Spa and we loved every minute of it.
The Hamman was fantastic and the massage afterward was even better.
Victoria, Carli and Suzanna again peformed miracles and the staff supporting were also very good.
I have no complaints and would go back again and again. Thank you, Mark!
A great value service, and the therapist was very friendly and calming, I came out feeling very refreshed and relaxed - all in all, a great success and I enjoyed it very much!
The environment is good, inside of the Leisure Center, good location easy to find it. During the treatment the music around that was nice make you feel relaxed, however the staff maybe was tired not very helpful, but overall she was ok, she answered my questions. The price for the treatment is ok, not expensive but it was not promotion price, not like Groupon that sometimes you really have good deal. Overall I would like say that was3 star.
This hotel is set in a very beautiful and special part of London, my favourite actually as you can see the river and the Millemiun from there. The Hotel is very well looked after and pompeous even though the SPA is in this fantastic set and has a huge potential to deliver a great customer experience, its lacks quite a few key point to hit this bottom. What a shame.
The back scrub and massage was incredible. My therapist applied the right amount of pressure and I only wish it had gone on forever! The facial was also good and I was particularly happy that my therapist removed the blackheads on my face - something that not all facials include. My skin was left feeling silky smooth. The therapy room itself was lovely and the background music set the ambience so well. The only disappointment was the appearance of the entrance. The salon is set underneath a hairdressers and the stairs and entrance hall aren't particularly glamorous. However the treatment room and treatments definitely make up for it.
I normally visit spa's as I work at a spa but I was visiting friends in Harrogate and my mum gace me a voucher...I had the REN Moroccan Rose Ritual...or something like that! It was amazing...this isn;t a spa it is a treatment room...I have given top marks based on this fact...the exfoliation left my skin feeling great and the massage really was bliss! I normally do deep tissue but asked for something relaxing and conditioning...this is exactly what I got.
Went to Dove spa lakeside which was fantastic!!! We went for the enlighten detox package which was excellent value for money - the exfoliation , wrap and facial were amazing!!! Would def go back +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++==
This was my second visit, again I loved their massage and facials.
Will definitely come back and recommend to my friends.
The couples massage is brilliant too, great value for money.
Beautiful building and views. A lovely warm welcome greeted us and were immediately offered a hot & cold drinks.. Our hostess was Helen, she showed us around and also explained the paperwork.. There are 2 fantastic private lounges for Spa Guests use only, offering complementary fruit teas and assorted cold drinks. The second lounge is so quiet and relaxing with day-beds ... you can quite easily have 40 winks there!
How lucky were we to have booked on the 1st Birthday of Elemis at the Spa,?? Throughout the day we were treated to complimentary champagne, a buffet lunch and also afternoon tea!
We used the small changing rooms and they were very luxurious and we then went through to the fabulous swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool and then enjoyed the steam room and sauna., My friend and I booked the same 2 treatments. The body exfoliation was excellent, and I was then asked to shower, put my robe back on and then wait back in the lounge for another therapist to collect me and do my massage... however my friend was able to stay in the same treatment room and the same therapist did both her treatments, which I’m sure was more relaxing and I would have preferred.
One of the best parts of my day, was finding a full selection of Elemis Testers that I could try out to my hearts content ... just wonderful.
My friend and I really enjoyed our day in this spa. Nice steam room and pool. Big relaxation area but cosy, looking the stars. there are stars in the ceiling! quite cool! with a view to the pool.
Higly recommend the treatments we had, the foot massage and body scub.
We had as much tea as we wanted! (we love tea!)
Will come back for sure.
I went this morning and had the most indulgent hour I've had in a loooong time!
Therapist was lovely and recommended a mix of treatments over my hour including exfoliation and massage. I have a recurring back problem which meant my muscles were pretty tight, but she seemed to know exactly what to do to sort them out.
I felt completely relaxed and by the time I left had an extra spring in my step. Will definitely go back, would recommend to anyone!
This time I came for a facial as I wanted to get a better understanding of their products, the therapist was amazing and went through everything with me, the facial was amazing
I go to the dove spa numerous times and since I have discovered it will not go anywhere else!
My mother, sister and I all bought each other gifts for the Lava Shells massage treatment, which promises a lot and we were curious as to whether it would deliver. I'm not entirely sure whether it the lava shells were effective for cellulite, but the treatment was lovely and soothing.
I went with my mum, who though she has been to a few spas rarely enjoys the body treatments. When I went back to collect her, the transformation was amazing! She looked so blissful and relaxed. I was shocked!
Next, I went in for my own treatment - and I soon realised why my mother had come out looking like she'd had a wonderful treat. Kerrie has the most delightful way of putting anyone at ease. She is warm, friendly, knowledgeable, professional...and best of all, she is a great therapist.
She's so good that all three of us have since been back! Reminds me, now I know where she's moved to, I need to book myself in some more treatments : )
This was an amazing treat for a friend and I. We both had a wonderful day and would recommend to everyone! Definitely would go again.
On arrival I was a little concerned as the waiting room is below a hairdress and was very basic and a bit dull, but the massage rooms are wonderul and relaxing
Lovely little spa, nice atmosphere, good treatments.
The Hydotherapy Pool was very cold, which was a shame. It should have been at least 36 degrees, not 30.
Otherwise excellent all round.
I had a great day at this spa enjoying the relaxing experience I was promised. From the moment you walk in staff are happy to help and guide you in the right direction. I had two body treatments and would highly recommend both. The facilities cover everything you need from your spa day and the Luxurious relaxation snug are amazing.
Nice experience. I had to select from a range of flavours with different purposes. I settled for the detox scrub which was gingery. My skin felt smooth and nice although it seemed a bit short. a complimentary foot or head massage might have perfected the experience.
The staff were really friendly and accomodating. As the food was included in the deal we did not have high expectations but were pleasently suprised with the quality of the food and the choice. The swimming pool was not as nice as I had hoped but the actual spa and spa rooms were very nice. A good value break
I would definitely go back to this spa. My friend and I had a wonderful experience and would strongly recommend it. All the staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our treatments. As it was my friend's birthday, I had requested champagne twice, which staff agreed to, but it wasn't provided. This would be my only complaint! Overall I would recommend this hotel/spa!
This place is dreadful. One of the most unpleasent experiences of my life . I agree with the previous reviewer and would not go back there if it was free! The reception staff are rude and leave you wondering if they actually realise your a paying customer. I too had a Groupn voucher that promised a wonderful spa experience. The therapy room was unpleasent at best and hygene questionable. I can only reiterate what has previously been said about poor quality treatments and service. There are better places to spend your money and time. Awful !
Well if it wasn't for many children having their swimming lessons and being so noisy (you can't really relax at all) and for a VERY small changing room with kids staring at your naked body, this would have been a good experience. My therapist was awesome and the ingredients she has used for my exfoliating treatment left my whole body as soft as a silk.
No separate shower rooms but the very open one in front of the steam room and sauna. Also bring your own shampoo/conditioner and body wash as there was none..
Toilet is very tiny and only one inside the spa.
All in all I have been to much better spas in London.
The therapist was lovely, the treatment was nice and i was plesantly surprised at how good my skin looked and felt afterwards the best it has ever, the only problem was that it was too cold!
I took my mum for her birthday. We both had the body exfoliation treatment and mum had the lava shells massage. After the exfoliation, skin was silky smooth and soft. My mum totally loved the lava shells, a change from a hot stone, just as effective. The staff were amazing, during the time when they were having the showers fixed, Jo accommodated us as VIPs, going that extra mile. We used the gym, sauna (loved the smell of pine wood), steam, jet spas, salt room and enjoyed getting in and out of the cocoons! Cant wait to go again and again. Thank to The Spa at the Cube for making it a wonderful day for my mum.
Being 5 months pregnant, I was looking sooo forward to my treatment, and I was not disappointed at all!
The exfoliation treatment was amazing. My skin looked and felt great for weeks after. And the massage was very thorough. Bianca paid more attention to the parts where I told her I had the most problems with.
I felt relaxed and at ease the whole two hours. It was bliss. And Bianca is lovely.
Thanks very much, looking forward to coming back xxx
I bought the Englighten package which was a body scrub/wrap and mini facial. Upon my arrival at the spa I was greeted with a warm welcome and shown into my room, which was absolutely heavenly as the relaxation music soothed me I was treated with various warm body scrubs and wonderfully warm green tea mud wrap which was unbelievably heavenly! I was suppose to have a mini facial but to be honest it felt like a full on facial never did my face felt so treated and cared for. When the facial was nearly complete Keisha my therapist placed some very delicate eye pads on me and I was laying in my body wrap and nearly fell asleep I was that relaxed!
The only drawback? That it had to end!!! What a wonderful birthday treat and well worth. I'll definately be doing this again or potentially the wrapsody which Keisha suggested as she gave me a prescription too which was very helpful. Thank you so much!!! :-)
Me and my friend got at good deal from Groupon and went along to the spa, not really expecting it be brillinat. Boy were we surprised. The staff were fantast and the facilities were excellent. Raachel Thomas and Hina Q (who were out therapists) were friendly and brilliant at what they did. Thank you ladies for a lovely day.
My mum and I were treated to this Spa voucher by my son and I was very wary of going as never been to a Spa & massage before. When we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who explained what would be happening, what we could use, showed us around and gave us times of when the massage would start. I managed to use the facilities before the massage (steam room) and after (swimming, jacuzzi, and steam room again).
The massage was wonderful, hard and relaxing. Well needed and the overall experience was lovely, I would definitely come again.
So, where do I start, this place is not the most glam of places and could do with a good refurb. I brought groupon vouchers for Bling for myself and my mum as a mothers day gift, I purchased 2x Two Hour Relaxation Package With Full Body Massage and Luxury Facial Plus Glass of Bubbly for £18 each.
We arrived 10 minutes early for our 1oclock appointment, we were greeted by a woman who I presume was the manager and she looked like she had just woke up. There was awful loud dubstep music playing that I could hardly hear myself. On our arrival we were informed ‘oh your early’ (by 10 whole minutes not an hour) and asked if we would like a drink whilst we waited. We were offered tea, coffee or water. No mention of champagne. We sat and tried to make small talk with the manager and staff but they seemed more interested in looking miserable, going out to smoke endless cigarettes or stuffing their faces with Greggs sausage rolls. One stylist who informed us it was her first day was really nice and friendly actually, so they weren’t all too bad. When my mum asked the manager if she had a business card or a price list the manager didn’t seem to know what my mum was on about and then managed to find a flyer with basic information. Not that we will be suggesting anyone goes there now. There were 8 staff there, standing around and apart from myself and my mum I saw 2 customers walk in, the place apart from its horrendous music was dead! (Maybe people have read these reviews, unlike I did). An elderly lady did actually come in to make an appointment and warned them the music would put her off actually going there.
The time approached 1.20 and we were still sitting there waiting, mum with her weak as dish water tea and me getting more impatient. It got to 1.40 and I asked the manager if our appointment was actually booked in for 1 to which she replied ‘yes but we are running a little behind’ – well sweetheart maybe you should inform your clients that on their arrival!
Finally we were shows to a shabby little back room for our treatments, the room was dull and looked more like a storage room with bits of exercise machinery and a spray tan tent shoved in the small space we had, they were playing classic fm which kept cutting to adverts, hardly relaxing. The therapist I had was lovely and very apologetic and polite. The therapist my mum had can only have been a junior; she didn’t speak a word and seemed to just follow my therapists lead. Our massage ended up back and shoulders and only lasted all of 40 minutes, we then went straight onto our facials. I was asked what skin regime I followed and whether I was allergic to anything but to be honest, I give myself a better facial at home. Mum handed the therapists a small tip but I think that was more of a thank you for getting it over and done with quick so we could escape.
Over all I cant complain for £18 each but if you asked me if I would ever go back there again, the answer would almost certainly be NO.
This salon is easy to find just above the hairdressers in Manchester city centre. The treatment rooms are absolutely fabulous decorated! Lovely & relaxing with candlelight.
The therapist Kiah is very welcoming and experienced.
I enjoyed a lovely hot stone massage & sea salt back scrub ...hope to go back soon.
From the moment i entered Salon Ten, I was made to feel special. I was taking my auntie for her 60th Birthday and wanted her to have a great time. We both had an amazing day and felt fantastic. Olivia and Leanne were attentive, interesting and made every effort to make our day a memorable one. We had a Spa day with included a manicure, facial and body scrub. All of which were worth every penny! The day included a light lunch of sandwiches, salad and flapjack and chocolate bites which were delicious. The Salon has a lot to offer and I would definately go back. I am hoping to go with my daughter soon. Well done to Salon Ten. I am a nurse and the chill out environment was much needed and it met all my expectations. This was my first spa experience but it will not be my last. Thanks for a wonderful day.
Therapist was very friendly and informative about the treatment (body wrap). Treatment itself was not very pleasant as it was icy cold, but therapist warned about this and did everything she could to help, including extra blankets and hot tea at the end :-) Facilities are fine, not bad but nothing special, staff are friendly and welcoming. Been several times before and would return again, but perhaps not for same treatment!
Arrived to a lovely reception and was greeted by the friendly staff. We arrived an hour early so we could make use of the facilties - Jaquzzi, Sauna, Steam room and Pool. All very Clean.
We waited in the relaxtion room to be called for our treatment. Very relaxign room with lovely music and sun loungers. Offered a drink which was a pleasent gesture.
The treatment was amazing, would recommend to everyone. They put us in a double room which was lovely as we got to have a chat at the same time. Oince our treatment had finished we sat in the relaxtion room and enjoyed a drink before getting ready to leave.
All in all a very enjoyable experience. Looking at the treatment list again already.
Had a fantastic day at the Dolphin Spa with my friend, the facilities were amazing and very clean, the staff were very professional and friendly. Loved the mint tea and mixed nuts after the treatment. Left feeling pampered and really relaxed. Would definetely go back and recomment to anyone
I had the Serali Mud Treatment
It was a thoroughly relaxing and great treatment to smoothen out the skin. I left feeling like I had the skin of a baby.
The venue is set in beautiful surroundings. The Stafff were extremely friendly.
I would definately recommend this treatment to anybody and the venue too.
The place was easy to get to and booking was not too difficult. There was some minor problem on the day and time but it worked out in the end. The treatment was excellent. It left the skin soft and wonderful. Overall an excellent experience. Recommended!!
On arrival we (mum and sister) were greeted and hugs were given as my sister and mum had already experience the spa facilities and treatments, and this time it was my turn. We were show around the facilities - very nicely decorated, airy and clean. Then we were given our keys to our personal lockers and met our therapist - who again were courteous and very friendly. I enjoyed my treatment and the aftercare given, as well as the relaxation room - rocking in the cocoon relaxers was amazingly tranquil. I used the steam and saunas together with the swimming pool. The whole day was just right for my mum's leap year Birthday. Thank you for a lovely day.......
Just returned from a wonderful spa day at Salon Ten. Friendly welcome and guided tour. Lovely big comfy robes (great for us larger ladies!). Lots of chilling out on the loungers in the relaxation area on the top floor. Colour changing mood lighting and soft music in the background.Tea/coffee/juice to help ourselves to whenever we liked. My friend and I had a lovely time unwinding, having important 'me'time and having a good gossip! We were called as a pair for our manicures (which was fun) and then individually for our other treatments. Lovely relaxing facial including shoulder and neck massage. Used the sauna - made the most of everything! Adequate lunch of a choice of sandwiches on a bed of salad and crisps. We ordered some Cava as Salon Ten are licensed (bonus!!). More lounging around (ahhhh! bliss!). Met some nice fellow Grouponees there - we all got on well. Then we had our exfoliating scrubs and showers and back upstairs for refreshments. Yes! Half a muffin as per the other review but on a large plate with several other half muffins and pieces of flapjack too! And some were left over so maybe the half muffin thing is good for wastage and also our waists! Less muffin top! We were the last ones to leave at 5.45pm. We had a wonderful day and we would recommend Salon Ten to anyone. Lovely staff, great premises and ambience. I see from the brochure there are loads and loads of other treatments available.
friendly helpful staff. accomadation good food very good.professional therapists.lovely way to relax with friends will go again if the price is right.venue easy to locate.will pass on experiance to oher friends
I visited marakesh spa last week with a friend.when i first went in i was greeted by a member of staff. i was aked to fill out some forms and shown around. we then went to use the facilities. we wer offered drinks before and after treatment. therapists were very friendly and made us feel very comftable. excellent service. i would recomentd as great value for money. i will be going back soon
Really enjoyed the experience. Pool area lovely, albeit small. But it does have nice heated seated to relax you! Best to get there between 12 and 2 pm as no children in then. Nice and peaceful! treatment good and professional. Felt lovely and relaxed after my day! Will definitely go again.
i went with my mum sister and my sister's friend and we had the most fantastic stay staff could not do enough for you a guy called matt cook was singing on the night in the restaurant and even sang happy birthday to me (he was amazing) also ian and jason who was night staff couldnt do enough for us we went into cardiff bay for a few drinks and when we came back they made us hot choccies :) cant wait to go back with my boyfriend in april :) xxx
I have never felt so great and pampered in my life. The staff was super respectful. During the 3 hours we spent at the spa, the presence of the staff was perfectly minimal, giving us the peace and privacy we were looking for.
Aldwick Manor is a beautiful hotel. It was more busy than I would have liked; I was told that it was unusually busy for mid week which was probably due tothe school half-term. Due to the number of people using the spa, there were not enough lockers for everyone. The facilities were very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The therapist was excellent. I would go again and recommend it to others.
We went to The Spa in Dolphin Square at Dolphin House with a friend and it was our second visit. This Spa is very new and clean. We had a very relaxing time in the hammam room and then after a masssage we had a tea in the post treatment area. Lovely experience, we are coming again. The deal is worth trying. Thank you.
I booked a 2 for 1 overnight stay at the Donnington Spa and I have to say it was amazing!!! I can't believe the price I paid and got everything I got.
The venue is lovely and the rooms are very clean and cosy and immaculate.
The spa is wonderful and the steam sauna pool and aromatherapy rooms are just as great AMAZING.
We had dinner which was a 3 course and I have to say compliments to the chef the food was outstanding I felt like i was in the wrong place as I couldn't believe I had only paid £69 pp.
I am going back in March for my 2 year wedding anniversary, I recommend Donnington Spa Resort to everyone you will not be disappointed!! 5/5 stars for my stay AMAZING!! And very IMPRESSED!!!
The staff were really friendly and the bar was really cosy, inviting and served great food. The thing that let it down was you had to hire robes and towels, we have had these for free in other places and makes it a more comfortable stay! Excellent value for money with the Wahanda deal and I would definately return if there was another offer!
Fantastic facilities and very friendly staff - a trip here makes for a welcome break! The Spa had everything you could need, and the exfoliating back treatment was especially good, I didn't want it to end!
The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The environment was clean and professional. I would return for another appointment. The after-care advice leaflet was helpful. The therapist does a good job of making the room calm, relaxing and sweet smelling. Wonderful relaxing music, the smell of the candles, I felt very relaxed after the treatment. There will certainly come back, and without fear I recommend the salon a friend. I also want to use the services of cutting hair, because I saw very happy with the service client, competitive prices.
I
I visited the Nottingham Belfry with a friend last year, wow what a day got a great deal so spent the whole day there and had 3 treatments. was really quite practically had the place to our selves. whilst the food was amazing it was very overpriced. the treatments were to die for but the facilities were a little lacking for me personally.... however it was a great day and the staff were amazing
I cannot rate this salon highly enough. Monica the therapist is one talented lady, a purely wonderful mix of warmth and professional knowledge. I have visited several Spas up and down the contry, and would never go backnow I have found Bea. The massage was sublime, and the attention to detail in my facial was fabulous - my skin had never looked better than when I left this salon. I cannot wait to return!
Had a lovely visit with mum to the Dolphin spa. We had the Hamman, was nice, not as authentic as you would find in Marrakech and quite quick, but it was very relaxing.
The treatment area was in the basement below the hairdressers so had to wait in the waiting area which was fine for me, but may not suit everybody. The only thing I would say is that as a tall person the treatment room was a little small for me with not much room for the therapist to work in.
The receptionist was very friendly too and deserves a special mention.
The therapist was excellent, very thorough and did an excellent job with the body exfoliation treatment and eyebrow tint. The offer was excellent value and I would definitely visit for a treatment again.
The Dove Spa team at Virgin Gym Sunbury are fantastic. They take their time are very polite and make you feel very welcome. I will be back again and already started telling my friends about this Spa. Thumbs up!
I had a enlighten detox voucher and it was really good value for money. I was there for about an hour in total, and i had a full body exfoliation, wrap and mini facial. The treatment was very relaxing and the room was nice. Only downside was it was cold in the shower room so after a shower it was a bit chilly! but i did hav the earliest appointment in the day so maybe the heating hadnt kicked in! I was offered a drink after my treatment and it was waiting in the waiting area once i came out my room which was a nice touch. Staff were all friendly and proffesional. Overall a really good offer :-)
I had a lovely visit the the Bridge Hotel & Spa the staff were very helpful and respected your privacy, nothing was to much trouble, Will definately be going back to this venue again
Cant even begin to describe how wonderful our experience was! we had a facial, back scrub and back massage which lasted a full hour and a half! The attention to detail was amazing and they didn't cut corners on anything, for example,we were treated to an indian head massage while our face masks were on. The salon was small but the treatment room was large warm and very ambient. Cant wait to book our next one!
We have been to the Bridge Hotel & Spa twice now and have enjoyed both occassions
The staff are very professional and make you feel welcome nothing is to much trouble. Looking foreward to our next visit
Wonderful
I could not be more pleased with your service. from point of sale to set-up, you have treated us the way a customer should be treated. I certainly will recommend anyone with an interest in a spa in your direction.
I was booked to have an Enlighten Me package which included: Full Body Exfoliation, Full Body Wrap and Mini Facial; instead of the mini facial I had a foot massage when I was in the body wrap.
I found that the therapist was personable and very professional. She consulted with me about everything, and decided on the wrap and oils according to what I wanted. Whilst having the treatment the therapist gave me plenty of time to shower (removing the scrub and wrap product). Overall I was very happy with the therapist I felt like a customer, I definetly felt valued; and I found I could feel an improvement in my skin. My skin immediately felt smoothed and moisturised. And I felt this was an excellent treatment to relax and feel pampered. I would be happy to pay full price at this location for this treatment.
Upon arriving for my 5pm appointment I was told there was a staff shortage and I would have to wait at least 50 minutes to start my Swedish massage and body wrap. The receptionist who was quite rude about the whole thing said she tried to call me at 4pm which was a lie as my mobile had no missed calls and at 4.15pm I got on the underground which means she called me later than said and 45minutes notice to reschedule or cancel is unacceptable when I left my house just after 3.30pm to get there on time. For the inconvenience I was told I could have a free manicure which in all honesty I didnt want as i knew this would delay me further. At 5.40pm one of the therapists called me and I assumed for my massage but NO! It was to start my manicure. I explained she would need to be quick or wait until after my massage as my 'late' time would be startign shortly, BUT SHE INSISTED. At 6pm she was called by another worker (which happened regularly) and left the room for 15 MINUTES. When she did return there was no apology or explanation just carried on painting my nails. At 6.30pm she finally finished my nails and at that point I was quite upset I had still not been called for my massage (I saw a man who arrived after me walk past the manicure door and am sure they crept him in whilst they distracted me with the manicure). I was told they were prepping the room and 25 minutes later I was called at 6.55pm 1 HOUR AND 55 MINUTES after my original appointment. I was not introduced to my masseuse other than hi I'm Monica, strip down to these (she showed me her underwear as a demonstration) and hop on bed. At that poitn she left me for 5minutes to change and when she returned she explained that I would not be receiving my 1 hour swedish massage and 30 minute body scrub as purchased on Groupon but a 1 hour massage including the scrub which is not what I paid for. Monica started the massage and withing 5 minutes another person called through the door and they had a conversation in their native tongue and then silence... The door closed and my massage continued but it was not Monica massaging me but one of the other therapists. I'm not sure whether they thought I was stupid enough to not realise someone else had continued, or by reading others reviews this is standard procedure. I would not have minded had she introduced herself or had explained Monica needed to go but I was specifically told there was one masseuse on site due to the other not showing for work so I was fully aware this woman was not qualified to deliver the service. I constantly asked her to apply more pressure as I was basically being moisturised and the scrub wasn't much better although it did add some pressure but again I was not given a choice between the mango or cucumber scrubs as listed on Groupon and genuinely felt disgusted at the whole experience. I wa snot given any towel or disposable underwear and was not wiped down after but told to shower(with a faulty plug that would not drain) and that was it. I really wish I had researched the spa beforehand and read reviews but this will be an experience I shall learn from. I'm disgusted that I spent £29 for services I did not receive and in all honesty the best part of the visit was the free manicure. Total waste of my time and money. I left at 8pm, 3 hours after I had arrived with more stress and tension then when I arrived. Shoddy establishment! WOULD TELL ANYONE CONSIDERING GOING THERE TO CANCEL AND ASK FOR A REFUND IMMEDIATELY.
after visiting this salon with a friend for various treatments, (groupon deal) i must say we had a wonderful time, with down to earth girls who made us feel very welcome and relaxed.
We had a fantastic all over massage in the same room as my friend, which is not only a welcome change as not many places have the facility to be together but also more relaxing.
My skin felt great afterwards, and we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted to, to enjoy another cuppa before heading out in the cold.
i would recommend this salon as i have already booked to going again with my mom for her birthday.
thanks bling x
I found the venue easily and staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We didn't get herbal teas at the beginning, as mentioned in the offer. The waiting area is a bit bland and cold and could do with a bit more decoration, as it's the first impression that you get from the place.
The therapy room though is amazing, beautifully decorated and very spacious. My mum and I had the most amazing back scrub, massage and facial there. We were super relaxed when we left and are still talking about what an amazing time we had there.
I will definitely be back, just about to buy another treatment voucher ;-)
Purchased a voucher through Groupon for a 1 hour swedish massage and 30 minute tropical scrub treatment. I entered the venue and was greeted by the receptionist who called my therapist, Monica, and I was taken through to the treatment room straight away. The room itself was nicely decorated and clean. The bed was not so much a massage bed as there was no hole for my head but I was given sa round cushion for my neck and it was not uncomfortable. Monica herself was a lovely lady, didn't speak much English but was friendly. I was left to change and get onto the bed in my knickers, there was no towel to put over me and I felt a little awkward being so exposed. Monica came back in and told me she would be doing 30 minutes normal swedish massage and 30 minutes massage and scrub. I thought it would be and hour and a half in total but at the price I paid I had no complaints. The massage itself wasn't very good. She did not focus on areas of tension and it seemed rushed and not relaxing. The part that suprised me most was when I was asked to turn onto my back.....with no towel to cover my breasts! I was ok with this as I don't mind people seeing my body but I found it quite uncomfortable having my breasts massaged without being asked first!!! But I just relaxed as Monica made me feel comfortable. The body scrub was fab. Lovely scrub was used which smelt nice and the grains were perfect, not too rough and not too soft. It was rubbed into my skin well and afterwards my skin was very soft. My only complaint was that I was not given paper knickers so the scrub got on my knickers and it was difficult taking them off over my scrub smeared legs to get into the shower. Another issue I found was that Monica left the room to get more scrub from the fridge and left the door ajar! Anyone could have walked in! All in all, an ok experience as I got good value for what I paid but I would never pay full price at New Way Spa and would not like to go back.
I went to Bling Cosmetics in Willenhall two days ago and was thoroughly appalled my experience there. Arriving at 1.45 for what was meant to be a facial, full body massage and mani-pedi and complimentary glass of bubbly in the advertised two hour period, I do not feel I was happy with any of these seeing as I was sat in the freezing salon for four hours. It all started with a mani-pedi that used cheap nail products and were not applied properly by unqualified/ unexperienced staff that chipped in hours. My friend’s (I had bought this as a birthday gift for her) nails were not properly painted, as the second coat of nail varnish only covered half the nail. We then waited one and a half hours for our facials and massage. In this time, a man who came after us went in before us because he was alone, and we came as a pair. He was in the one private room for an hour. Before this a lady had come to get semi-permanent eyelashes put in- *Tip- for whoever has bought this Groupon, save yourself, they don’t look applied properly and look awful* (hence a 1.5 hour gap). In this time I spoke to what I assume was the manager about the length of time we had been waiting, to which she said “you can leave if you want to”. I am fully disgusted at her attitude towards customers and I can safely say I have never been treated this way ever in my life. We were then called into the “private room” which consisted of 2 beds in an 8’ x 7’ enclosure (not an actual room as there were gaps over the ceiling that adjoined us to the main salon room that played loud illegally copied Cee-Lo albums). We were not given an option of being seen separately as there was only one room so no privacy as my friend was literally less than a foot away. Whilst my friend was covered by a towel, I had a cheap satiny throw covering me that kept falling off me. When the “therapists” came in, they had to move my friends bed whilst she was on it so that they could also fit into the room, unfortunately then blocking the door and only access out of the room **Health and Safety Risk**. And to top the icing on the cake, the products used were ASDA cheapest range which caused my sensitive skin to have a reaction as I needed products that suited to my skin, not shop brand generic products. Why ask what type of skin I have if you put the same generic product on?! These treatments – take into account it was a full body massage and facial- lasted 30 minutes! This is compared to the gentleman earlier who had an hour for his treatment.
I am so angry about the way I was treated that day. For what I paid (it was a Groupon deal), I still do not feel I got anywhere near my monies worth. I have been very happy with previous Groupon deals at other salons, so this is definitely a first. I am completely appalled at the manager who did not seem to know anything about the treatments her “salon” offered and was then rude to me and my friend. No apologies were offered for the inadequate service, or even the length of time I had to wait for my treatments, or no explanation for why my treatments were so short. The “therapists” who were unexperienced/ unqualified, on the other hand were lovely and appeared to dislike the manager as much as I did.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND BLING COSMETICS. If you have a Groupon, don’t use it. Save that money or contact someone to get it back. I now have to pay extra money to get a proper facial after that experience.
My husband & his pals brought a weekend package for us wife's.A night stay plus two free treatments from a pedicure, manicure, back massage, full body exfoliation..A three course meal plus breakfast A lovely christmas present we thought....The treatments were not good as it was a special offer package,( why bother attitude..)
My therapist did'nt stop talking though out the message (apparently she suffers from depression..so did I after that session)
The exfoliation treatment was like being brushed with a horse brush for 15 mins.
My daughter had her two treatments, then had a pedicure. There was no prices on show for any of the treatments which I was not happy with, but she went with it any way...For a dry Pedicure cost her £50.. Half the colours she picked could not be used because they were to thick. Then had to go back in the moning for them to be repainted as after three hours of drying time they still smudged...We ordered lunch after 3/4 of a hour of waiting we were informed there was no one in the kitchen to do our order!!!! They did give us fresh creams scones on the house, not the same, but they were lovely.
Rooms were good so was the food. But treatments a BIG NO NO !!! if on a package deal.
In addition to the above treatments I have also had the intensely relaxing experience of the hot and cold stone massage - which is my favourite! The therapy room is softly lit and tranquil which is helped by the calming music. In the safe hands of Annabel you can be sure to float away to a much calmer place during your chosen treatment - of which there are many. After my treatments I feel completely chilled out and would definitely recommend a visit to soothe away, even for a short time, the stresses and strains of life.
Hi there,
I went to Pasha Turkish Bath with my friends like four of us for Xmas celebration in December.First of I never except this place that much nice and running with warmest hospitality,We had a fantastic welcoming Turkish tea at the reception while filling consultation forms than therapist explained our ritual smoothly. How to use black soap, mitt and apply mud all over the body,we had a self Hamam Session with self body peeling and Rasul Mud treatment with steam,We were only for of us like our own,it was more comfortable, very different experience than other public leisure centre, ambiance of the hamam was great all the surface are covered with the real hot marbles, you feel very light after exfoliation, skin gets very soft, mud makes you shinning!
We had a fresh orange platter with cinnamon and fantastic Turkish Tea again after all hamam session in relaxation room,
The staff is very helpful, smiley and welcoming. Thanks for everything,we really enjoyed, definitely go back again..
I went for Morrocan Rose Ritual. Took my sister for her Xmas present and we were both very impressed. The beauticians were fantastic. Gorgeous facial and massage with perfect amount of pressure. Came out of there floating on air and feeling the best ever after such spa treatments. This exceeds in comparison to Mayfair Spa. Would definitely go again. The spa area has a lovely ambiance. The only small thing that would perhaps bother some is that the changing area is tiny but it has everything you need.
Th elocation is handy and easy to get to. I enjoyed the treatment and the body wrap left the skin glowing. The therapist was good as well. Only thing is I had to wait a bit initally to get started.
When booking at titanic spa I read each review and thought "too good to be true" however the overnight package was good value so we decided to give it a try, on arrival all staff were extremely attentive and checked us in immediately, showed us to the refreshments and gave us are itinerys we couldn't get into the apartment till 2:00pm however are lunch was at 130pm and we had started in the spa. The apartments were brilliant very modern, clean and cosy! We loved it, the food was great and so were the treatments, we will definitely book very soon!! only bad point is we wanted to stay longer! x
It is worth to visit on a rainy day or just after work to relax and recharge although time is limited and flies very quickly. The location is good... people friendly and helpful. Warm and cosy environment.
Would go there again although if you are looking for something extra special would choose something else.
The venue itself is quite minimalist and pretty stylish located right at the rear of the mailbox. I want to be fair to a brand new venue so I'll give my pros and cons. Firstly I was here for my birthday as a treat, the treatments were paramount and the therapist delivered the best massage I can ever recall and I've had many. The techniques used for both massage and exfoliation were top notch. I was floating after I finished. The treatment room was gorgeous and really tranquil. All the staff I met were friendly and smiley. The pool area is lovely with jacuzzi and water jets galore as well as 2 steam rooms, a sauna and salt room. The changing rooms are very large with big fluffy robes and slippers provided in your locker. The cocoons (huge tents suspended fromm the ceiling fillled with cushions) were nice to have a sleep in and I dozed off for 40 mins or so. There is a light and airy well equipped gym. There is also a rasul but I didn't see this on my travels.
Now the negatives, mainly associated with the newness of the venue. The reception staff seemed quite unsure of what they were doing, to be expected really. The music in the changing rooms was so loud it was skin to a night club, far from relaxing. The floors in the shower area are very slippy too. The biggest negative though was the number of constantly present mainly by the pool on the day of the visit. Again entirely connected to the fact the place had just opened but as a woman relaxing alone it was a bit uncomfortable. The treatments went a very long way in redeeming the experience. I think as the staff get in to their stride this place will become amazing, all the staff were very friendly.
We had a lovely day at the Breadsall Priory.
We chose the back massage which was very relaxing then we went for a swim and sauna afterwards we had lunch there which finished the morning perfectly a great day out
I went to the Hampshire Court Hotel with my partner for his birthday and I have to say we really enjoyed our stay there. The deal was a bargain and we got exactly everything that was included in it. The staff was really friendly, the room was nice and very clean and the food was superb! The leisure facilities were a little bit old and could do with some refurbishment but that's only a minor observation. The standards were exceptional! Overall, I have to say that my experience was great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
i have been coming to the gym for nearly 3 years now, the first year it was a very exclusive little sanctuary, with a lovely atmosphere, exlusivity, and great members of staff. Then 2009/2010 came and it plummeted to a low level 1 star club at best. I cant work out why/how? everyone who comes to club agrees that there is now a major problem and the way things are being run there are rotten to the core. the worst thing is the influx of complete idiots from all over every borough except weybridge being inticed in with a cheap membership push as there struggling to generate new members. To break it down overpriced, run down, poor staff, poor maintenance, broken utilitys/equipment a regular occurance, dirty pool area, some complete idiots. The positives 2 years ago it was great, its in a lovely location. shame, such a huge huge shame.
Brand new Spa that just opened 4 days ago, booking was so easy, Nicola the Spa Manager was so helpful. She communicated in a timely fashion, arranged parking with The Cube Hotel (optional extra) and was there to welcome us too.
We couldn't at first find the entrance to The Cube Spa but soon got there. We packed our bags in the lockers and were shown around after filling in the medical/registration forms. At first I thought it was a bit small, however once you get started, the relaxed atmosphere makes you realise small is good, cosy and friendly.
The gym had sufficient equipment, access to drinks and always staff available if needed.
The pool, although small was great since I had no intention of swimming, just using the jet spas. The dry sauna made out of pinewood smelt calming and you could add more water to pump up the heat. The steam room was lovely and hot, in fact some found it too hot, complained and staff investigated the matter within minutes.
At first I did not like the idea of waiting in reception (in my gown) for my therapist but it really did not matter since I loved the drinks machine. It supplied fruit flavoured still water that was very refreshing (choice of plain, lime, strawberry, raspberry and more).
The Spa area had lovely cocoons hanging off the ceiling, great experience after the treatment. I had the Green Tea body scrub and Facial, which was relaxing and made my skin incredibly soft and smooth.
Back to the Pool area, we chilled, slept and drank lots of water! The Spa supplied a super soft towel, gown and slippers. The showers supplied shampoo and conditioner. Hair dryers and extra sockets for straighteners too. I could not reach the hanging space at the top of my locker so a stool would have been useful.
The staff were amazing, busy, yet always stopped to talk if you wanted to. I believe we naturally relax at a Spa day so having friendly staff, access to them if anything is needed and everything operational makes its unique, special and worth going back to.
So I am returning next month. Thank you to all the staff, especially Nicola and Joanne. They mingled with all of us (mum and sister) and we just had a laugh!!
Great Experience, The facility is Clean, Comfortable and Bright and Light. We arrived and my Friend went first while I used the Gym... It is small but it had the Cardio Equipment that I use.
The Exfoliation treatment was amazing, the Therapist Jenny was great, quite attentive and patient.
The Sauna had the lovely smell of peppermint and we just enjoyed the experience.
We did not use the pool but overall we shall return for another visit.
Great value and a great place to just chill out!!
Easy to get to. Parked around the back of The Cube to avoid Mailbox car parking charges.
Staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and polite.
Bathrobe, slippers and towels for your use.
Choc body scrub was fabulous and the recovery room even nicer...cushion filled cocoons, suspended from the ceiliing.
Pool was disappointingly small, although the sauna and steam room great.
A lovely, relaxing experience.
I took a friend with me for a treat at the CityPoint Spa just before Christmas and had a really lovely and relaxing time. We both had treatments and enjoyed the facilities (pool, sauna and squash courts). With the Wahanda offer it was an excellent day at excellent value!
My friend and I visited the facility and was quite satisfied with the Spa ambience, and the Therapist Jenny was amazing. We had the salt scrubs and my skin was all glowing after the treatment. The Spa is quite clean and an offers all the comfort and relaxation that one would expect from a great spa facility. The gym area is quite small but offered the cardio equipment that I use so I was quite happy. Robes, shoes, towels were supplied and that just had me over the moon. The spa area is lovely, walking into the steam sauna and the smell of pepermint was great.
We did not use the pool but the whirlpool was quite relaxing.
I would recommend this spa to all you spa lovers and I am sure you won't be disappointed. We are headed back at the end of the month. Montcalm Spa is at the top of my list!
A lovely relaxing day at the new Imagine Spa. My skin felt really soft after the treatments and my therapist was really good. Would definitely go again if I got the chance.
When I arrived at Bea's salon I was aching all over particularly my back and neck, Bea soon got to work and eased my aches and pains. She worked extra on my back and neck at no extra cost to me. The room was warm and cosy and the exfoliation wonderful and removed with warm towels better still the warm wrap very relaxing I fell asleep I was so pampered.
I have been getting treatments in Harrods for the last 6 years and I am extremely fussy about going to new places, but I was pleasantly surprised and I can say that the treatments I had and the therapists were by far some of the best I have ever had. I will defiantly be returning to this salon and will be recommending it to all my friends and family!!
This is a fabulous spa - great facilities and really pleasant staff, especially the receptionists and restaurant staff. In truth I was a little underwhelmed by the foot treatment - the first time I've ever been underwhelmed by an elemis treatment but the body exfoliation was good.
Great steam and sauna suite and for women only - the men had their own and I loved the relaxation room with its electric massage chairs. All in all - this was a great spa day.
Porchester Spa is meant to be the oldest Spa Facility in London and is still serving with high capacity with all the amenities built around it to keep fit a big community. We have visited the Baths section specially to try the Turkish Bath experience...
Actually, looking at the architecture, it is clearly an ancient style bath but the same confusion again - it is a Victorian Turkish Bath... With the separate Dry and Wet Hot rooms, low and high steam rooms it has almost all the features of a Roman Bath and its rituals... I am happy as a Turkish person that these add to our reputation but actually they are not our invention at all. Anyway, back to the subject.
From the resting and dressing area as depicted in the images, as if you are getting ready for the lion fight at the Colosseum, you go trough some labyrinth like rooms to find your way downstairs. It works like a time machine trowing you to a beach front. The only think missing is the Sunlight !
The body brush experience is exciting to wait for if you do not know what will come. You see the special wet room (you wish it would be warmer) and you get your first black soap on your body. Zsolt, a Hungarian Therapist is bringing all his effort to make you feel in a comfortable and relaxing environment. Being a pianist himself, he has strong hands and can unlock all knots on your back with swift movements. Compared to magnificent Hungarian Turkish Baths - this place is of course just tiny. But honestly - we all know that black soap is not the Turkish ritual neither - this is purely Moroccan. What comes next it more interesting... He takes his bath brushes and washes you... That is washing and polishing in one go... Very surprised. That i have seen for the first time but not different how it was explained. I just learned a new style... and that is not the only new think you would learn at Porchester. They are also offering a special Shim-see Soap Massage done by a Jewish Therapist, told that this is a Jewish tradition...
So if you go for the results, rest your body and are ok to mix in the crowd, Porchester is a must see one of the last 6 historical Victorian Turkish Baths in the World... For the city-guys, there is a fully equipped gym and a semi-olympic swimming pool as well. Strongly recommended for fit-spa explorers..
I had a lovely time yesterday at Champneys.
I had a exotic lime and ginger salt glow. Which really lovely experience and the lady Jade was very nice! Explained everything really well.
Then I had a Champneys massage which was amazing- I was in and out sleep all the way through and the lady Shy really listened to what I needed and concentrated on those areas. I can’t express how good she was. When I was done I was so relaxed I could not even move. It really just of a high standard and nice warm bed too. Lovely, lovely lovely!
Then finally got a file and paint on my feet, it was nice and quick. Very professional, I can’t remember the ladies name though
I loved all the products they had their which like little shops. Like Elemis, Barbor and Champneys shop too. They so nice. With great offers.
The food we had was lovely and very tasty, nice selection of salad and vegetarian food too!
The pool and hot and steam were very pleasant also. My favourite however were the treatments and the shops around it.
Londa is a lovely boutique hotel and the spa reflects that. Albeit smaller than some of the other available spas in Limassol, it perfectly satisfies most needs. It actually used to be better and it's a shame to see that standards seem to be slipping.
Love the relaxation area with the complimentary fruit and teas! The sauna's great and the jacuzzi, though clean, doesn't smell too strongly of chlorine (a massive turn off as far as I'm concerned). The steam room has been a revelation and when eucalyptus oils are added, is exceptional. The spa unfortunately suffers from the lack of an indoor pool. An outdoor pool is available during the summer, but even then, lacks the calm and relaxation I have grown to expect from a spa, because it is open to the public. The decor used to be colourful in tones of lime green, fuschia and orange and in the form of a plethora of cushions and net curtains, it added a brightness to the place that when coupled with the ever-essential candlelight, highlighted decadence. Unfortunately the new decor in more muted tones of beige, brown and orange, makes the place look rather more tired-looking.
The spa is pricy for what you get. But there's a wide range of treatments available and the real value comes in the form of its consultants / therapists. They really seem to know what they're doing. They're always courteous, always knowledgeable, always pleasant and interested and are able to recommend the right treatment customized to each client's individual needs. More specifically, this became evident when I went to them for a massage after having suffered a recent whiplash injury. They were able to provide relief and avoid further injury. I have also in the past invited pregnant friends along and they too were impressed with the way Londa staff were able to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
I am a member, so clearly I like this place. But there are still things I would like to see changed. Specifically, the decor / ambiance could use a bit of a lift, there should *always* be eucalyptus oils in the steam room, and they should probably take another look at their prices. These are difficult economic times we're living in, and they should be aware that competitors are actually offering more for less at the moment.
We had a lovely relaxing over night stay at the Titianic Spa, the staff were very attentive, facilities very good and the apartment was lovely. We had lunch and and evening meal and the food and wine was excellent. I would recommend the Titanic to all of our friends and family and we will certainly be coming back again very soon. Thank you for a lovely experience.
It was really relaxing, my skin felt amazing after the treament.
My therapist was really helpful and explained the different treatment as she went along.
I would book this treatment again next time I plan to go on holiday or just needed some chill out time.
I have been going for massage therapy for years and have finally found a true master, Greg Cartwright. He was able to find my trouble spots through intuition. Rather than try to pound them out, he worked through the problems with a variety of pressures and movements. What could have been very painful was actually quite pleasurable. I left feeling great and still feel the benefits of the massage a full week later.
Although it wasn't planned, I felt so good after the massage I had a body treament and some sugaring. I had never been sugared before and was very surprised at how, relative to waxing, painless it is. The results are spectacular, with smooth skin that is baby soft.
Greg is very professional in his approach but also friendly and calming. It is never easy seeing a new therapist but Greg immediately put me at ease with his demeanor. He also explalned everything he was doing which was great. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking massage or hair removal.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming, and I had an excellent therapist for body exfoliation and facial treatment. Although I had two short treatments as part of the package I think I chose well with the body exfoliation in particular - scrubbed and with oil massaged in felt like a really full treatment.... The facilities are great - blue-lit swimming pool is particularly lush, as are the massage chairs in the relaxation room. The lunch I received with my spa day was excellent - goats cheese and artichoke tart, 3 types of salad, fruit, cheese board. A real day of luxury. Considering membership to this spa if we go with any overall spa membership... The only minor wobble was that the steam-room seemed to have cut out (as they can do) when I first got to the sauna area, but I spoke to one of the staff and they had it back on by the time I'd had a swim and sauna... The plunge pool is good too - really chilly but invigorating!
This is my second visit to the Amida Spa and never fails to disappoint me. The facilities are fantastic, you have everything you need for a relaxing day at the spa. The changing rooms are one of the best I have been to, plenty of warm towels and toiletries for you to use. However when it comes to treatments they don't seem to respect how long the treatment is on for. Last time I had treatment for 1 hour and it lasted 45 minutes. This time the 25 min treatment lasted about 15! But overall it's a great experience.
Excellent facilities. Warm reception from the staff who were very helpful and pleasant. The relaxation room is fabulous! Separate spas (sauna, steam room & plunge pool) for male and female is a great touch! Oxygen pool so no overwhelming smell of chlorine! The treatments were carried out professionally and were just what I needed.
Overall, a great day, very relaxing... I will be going back!
The staff were helpful and friendly, and the treatments were excellent. Lunch was also very good. I was disappointed that there wasn't a lounge to relax in and read quietly between treatments. The only place I found with well lit places to sit was in the public reception or around the pool. In the past, I have always gone to women's only day spas, so a mixed spa was a new experience for me, but that part was fine. But because it is a club and spa, as I was walking around in my robe and slippers, I was surprised to discover fully dressed guests coming in to use the gym. This felt a bit awkward, especially when I was in my robe and people were in business suits at lunch. Because it is not just a spa, I would not pay full price at City Pointe Club, however package price from Wahanda was an excellent deal, so I would buy it again!
My friend and I went recently. It was a lovely day, as mid twenties city girls we would recommend it.
First stop was the treatment and we both enjoyed that. Afterwards we relaxed in the spa's various facilities. The hydropool was fantastic until several teenage couples arrived and started getting very close, so we left abruptly after that - it was what stopped the review getting 5 stars. The salt inhalation room is very hot and not for the faint hearted but that didn't stop me trying repeated to stay in there longer. I really enjoyed the incense room too. It was just so relaxing.
Overall we had a fantastic day.
The massage was spot on with just the right pressure.I would highly recommend this company to any one wanting arelaxing treatment at home or hotel room. Its was very nice and relaxing.
I had an hour long massage and an hour long facial by Natalie at the OTC. Both were wonderful! The massage was just the right pressure and she paid attention to where i ached! The facial was throrough and also really relaxing and the products she used made my skin glow afterwards. The therapist was friendly and knowledgable and I would not hesitate to reccomend the OTC to others.
It was a very good event I just thought that the area was to small to accomodate all the people that showed up and the lay-out was not very good and people did not know what the event was all about. i recieved a shoulder massage which was very good and I love products so will go again if there are any offers.
I had an hour long massage and an hour long facial by Natalie at the Sanctuary. Both were wonderful! The massage was just the right pressure and she paid attention to where i ached! The facial was throrough and also really relaxing and the products she used made my skin glow afterwards. The therapist was friendly and knowledgable and I would not hesitate to reccomend the Sanctuary to others.
The massage was spot on with just the right pressure.I would highly recommend this company to any one wanting arelaxing treatment at home or hotel room. Its was very nice and relaxing.
I bought this voucher for my parents asa gift and also the hotel is just 5mins away from their home. They cant speak english very well but was reassure by the receptionist that my parents will be alright. My parent did enjoyed their experience but they thought it wasnt as good or anything special. They said they wouldnt recommend for me and their friends to try.
I booked in for an Enlighten Body Detox Package, which was a body scrub, body wrap and a min facial. It was great and very relaxing!
The therapist was friendly and clearly explained the whole treatment. Once she'd done the scrub (peppermint), I then popped into the adjoining shower to rinse off. I then lay down for the wrap, it was seaweed and quite messy - I was lying on a plastic sheet which then wrapped me up to heat the wrap. I could almost feel the wrap bubbling away while the therapist did my facial.
I was worried that I would smell like a big walking sushi (!), but once it was rinsed off, she then moisturised me. Bliss!
The only problem that I did have was to book the treatment - I'd been calling the Notting Hill venue, which had closed down but that wasn't that clear on the answer machine. And the Mayfair venue phone was connecting to an international premium rate number?! I emailed them and they called me back quite quickly.
Great value for money. Great day out. Bought as a gift and would visit again. Great range of treatments and not too expensive. Easy to find and the staff are very nice
Good value for money, even though the premises where in the basement of a a hairsalon but as far as I understood she has moved now to a nicer place the treatment was very nice and good value for money
It was easy to book and the staff was very responsive when trying to find an appropriate time for the treatment. The Body Scrub and massage was very nice and I would recommend the therapist especially for the massage.
The most relaxed and satisfied exfoliating body scrub and full body massage.
Matthew was really pleasant and great on the treatment.
Have booked again in 4 weeks time. Would definitely recommend.
I visit London regularly with work and had the pleasure of having OTC visit me in my hotel this week, they are fabulous! I just wish they covered my home county so I could use them all the time. I had sanita as my therapist and she was very professional and her massage was spot on with just the right pressure. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a relaxing treatment at home or hotel room x
me and my daughter loved the body polish, the salon was so lively, warm and welcoming, even had a bowl of fruit in the waiting room, the staff was lovely and good at there job, I would go again
This was my second visit, as the admin arrangements for my first visit were a bit botched, so they gave me a second chance for free!
It was excellent.
The member of staff, Eloise?, was so attentive, explaining things in detail, such as finding my way around as the place a bit of a labyrinth.
I arrived in good time, good to be there early, and got changed and read a magazine in Reception.
Then was taken for my treatment, which was divine!
After a shower and change back into my swimsuit,
went back to Reception and I was taken down to the wet spa facilities and pool,
and it was all explained to me.
I found the salt therapy and steam rooms too hot,
however, sat for a good ten minutes in the Aroma room.
I got up to check the time as the person taking me down there suggested only staying in any one room for ten minutes.
Couldn't quite see the big clock from the room.
I wonder if a clock in the rooms might be a possibility.
Anyway, then went along and sat on one of the heated bed/chairs to reach another magazine,
and floated out of the place totally chilled out.
I loved it.
(I would have had an eyebrow wax if there'd been a special deal;
however, at £15 decided I'd have to wait for another opportunity with Wahanda.)
WOW WHAT CAN I SAY THIS SALON IS AMAZING . I VE RECENTLY MOVED TO HOVE FROM LONDON BUT STILL COMMUTE TO WORK EVERY DAY I WAS STILL USING MY HAIR AND BEUTY SALON UP THERE UNTIL LAST WEEK I GOT GIVEN A FLYER OUTSIDE HOVE STATION FOR UNIQUELY YOU HAIR AND BEAUTY SALON JUST OVER THE BRIDGE I WAS FEELING RUN DOWN AND MY BODY AND HAIR WAS LOOKING AND FEELING LIFE LESS I DECIDED TO GIVE THE SALON A TRY BECAUSE THEY WERE OPEN MOST NIGHTS TILL 8PM THIS WAS PERFECT I BOOKED IN FOR ONE NIGHT AFTER WORK AND WHEN I WENT IN I WAS WELCOMED WITH WARM AND FRINDLY PROFFESIONAL TEAM I HAD A BODY EXFOLIATION ALONG WITH A BODY CONTOURING WRAP MY BODY FELT FIRMER AND GLOWING I THEN WENT DOWNSTAIRS FOR MY HAIR WHERE I HAD THO MOST RELAXING HEAD MASSAGE AND WAS NEARLY ASLEEP IN THE CHAIR .THE STYLIST HAD A FULL CONSULTATION WITH ME ABOUT MY HAIR EXPLAIN TO MY WHAT COLOURS AND SHADES WOULD COMPLIEMENT MY SKIN TONE AND EYES AND WHICH CUT WOULD SUIT MY HAIR I HAVE VERY DIFFICULY HAIR BUT FELT CONFIEDENT SHE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED .SHE ALSO MODERNISED IT SLIGHTLY TO FIT IN WITH THE RECENT FASHION AND TALKED ME THROUGH HOW TO STLYE IT AT HOME AND WHAT PRODUCTS AND TREATMENTS MY HAIR WOULD BENIFIT FROM SO THE FINISHED LOOK WAS HONESTLY THRE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN MY HAIR LOOK OR FEEL AND I CAN MANAGE IT AT HOME AND ALL AT REASONABLE PRICE AS A RESULT I WONT BE NEEDING MY DOUBLE THE PRICE LONDON SALON !!!!!!!!! THANK YOU GIRLS I FEEL FAB
I had a Dermalogica facial and body scrub. The body scrub left my skin feeling soft but the facial actually made my skin break out for several weeks. The therapist was friendly but didn't seem to want to be there. It was good value but I don't think I'll be going there again.
This spa is tucked away, but don't let the location deter you. The experience is fabulous, and you are bound to feel that you are a world away from the hectic pace of London. My friend and I arrived early and received a warm greeting from the friendly staff. We were then given lovely light and soft cotton robes and fluffy towels and shown to the changing rooms which were very clean, spacious, and secure (we kept our valuables in lockers)
Between treatments, we relaxed on heated beds in the relaxation room, where we could see the river and the millennium dome as part of its panoramic view (don't worry, there are blinds so no one can see in!) It was very quiet and there were complimentary glasses of water and a selection of herbal teas. My only complaint was that the selection of newspapers magazines was rather inadequate.
The treatment rooms are spacious yet warm and inviting. I have never been in a treatment room with black walls, but the candles and the soft lighting enhanced the experience and eliminated the sanitized, clinical feel that many spas suffer from.
My friend and I each received a salt rub and a massage. Our therapists were courteous, polite, and highly skilled. They asked us both what we would like from our experience (ie areas to focus on or avoid) and ensured that we were comfortable throughout. We were given ample time to get up from the tables after the treatments, though I think we both would have been happy falling asleep right then and there on the heated massage beds!
Top marks for this place! I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special, relaxing day
Went to Waterfall Spa yesterday with my friend as a treat for her 50th birthday. I managed to get a 2 for 1 deal which was great and included a 40 minute treatment. It was my 3rd visit, but her 1st. We had a fabulous day but I do think the spa is starting to look a little tired and could do with a bit of tlc. Cracked tiles in steam room, chipped shower cubicles in changing rooms and mountains of wet towels also in changing rooms. Other than that it was gorgeous and we had a fab day to remember - I would defo revisit if the price was right.
A truly great day in the heart of London town .....Conveniently located. Great, welcoming staff. Plush surroundings - a day of luxury which I'll take some friends to experience next time. A veritable bargain!!!!
Lovely peacefull setting, went for a day with the my two housemates as a Birthday present for one of them. We had a Wahanda voucher and the staff still treat us like full paying customers, sometimes I find places can be a bit funny with you. The treatments were amazing, loved the seaweed wrap that we had and the back, neck and shoulder massage I recieved was one of the best I've had. Will definately be coming again!!
I went for a spa day with a friend yesterday and had such a lovely day. The wet spa facilities were excellent - the hydrotherapy pool in particular was just fabulous. The whole spa are is separate from the main gym pool area too so it was nice and quiet. The only thing the spa lacked was a quiet relaxation room, but there are 3 heated beds in the main spa area. We were also really impressed with the treatments - the body scrub ended with a lovely head massage and the therapists were all very friendly and welcoming (which isn't something I've always found when using vouchers. The restaurant in the harbour club is also really nice, I'm on a really limited diet so can't usually eat out, but their menu is desgned so it was easy just to have plain fish and vegetables without any problems.
Absolutely top class service and lovely clean facilities. Can't wait to go back :-) Staff very friendly and helpful. Great place to relax and chill out. Will definitely reccomend to others.
This wasn't the best looking spa I've been to, but the staff were friendly. The chocolate exfoliation treatment was very relaxing, but we couldn't smell the chocolate like we were hoping! The pool area was well maintained, and quite large, but we were just unfortunate to be there when half was being used for a mother and baby session. The jacuzzi was lovely and warm, and the sauna and steam room were also clean and very relaxing. We were there for about 4.5 hours and it was well worth the money (£50 for 2 people).
Rookery Hall is a beautiful setting and I took my mum for a treat for her 60th after being pleased with previous experiences there. The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcomed us with a refreshing mocktail. The spa was a bit too busy on the day we visited so the pool was a bit crowded at times. We both had an eye treatment which was very lovely and included a mini facial. The body exfoliation was a little bit painful when the body brush was used but the therapist was brilliant, making sure I was comfortable throughout both treatments.
The fruit teas are a lovely touch and we both enjoying making use of the chillout room! Lunch was tasty too... Extra touch or homemade cookies with hot drinks real treat!
Would definitely return on similar type of offer and recommend it!
Wahanda you so know who has the best salons this salon has only been open for 6months and it is fantastic. My treatment was full body exfoliation and full body spray tan. she was very professional and very caring, the best tan I have ever had. Thank you once again Regards Michelle Wood.
Brilliant, it was blissful. Relaxing and the therapist was excellent. The noise outside was slightly annoying, but the actual treatment was the best I have ever had. I floated out of the shop.
Recently considered a pampering session with one of my bessies, had a picture in mind, pedicure, manicure, ex-foliation treatments and a spray tan, the package was dealt with perfectly, the beautician who is also the salon owner was extremely polite, catering to our needs and professional through out, in my opinion i would recommend the salon to all my girlfriends and will be going again! IGNORE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND VISIT JADE HAIR AND BEAUTY . . . . . . THANKS GUY'S AND GIRLS ESPECIALLY THE OWNER LUCI!! TOP MARKS FOR SERVICE :-)
Forest Hills in Aberfoyle is a 5 star facility. I had a lovely relaxing day in plush surroundings. The staff were very friendly & eager too please. My cream tea was enjoyed even more by sitting outside at the patio in the sunshine. Recommend the venue & treatments to everyone.
We went as a group, I had the foot exfoliation and massage which was great. I liked the chill out area with proper beds you can snuggle down into. Free teas and water freely available which was a a nice touch. The heated chairs in the wet spa area are great, The rainfall showers were lovely too. The venue is a bit out of the way, and not particularly easy to find, Once there there is a real sense of luxury. We had a hot chocolate in the bar overlooking the Thames which was super.
The therapist was really kind with me, friendly and really pleasant as a person!
I arrived an hour late but she agreed to take me for the treatment, I didn't save the correct time on my agenda... I was really please with the reception too, all the staff had good manners and were very polite!
My treatment was an agreeable moment to spend with a relaxing head massage.
Overally the place looked Ok, it's clean what you expect from a spa.
Happy to come bak again for another treatment maybe!
A fabulous spa tucked away in Fulham. The facilities are amazing and have everything you could ask for.
The treatment made my body super soft and the staff were extremely professional. A lovely place to relax and recharge.
The whole experience was wonderful!
The venue is much larger than it appears outside.
The reception area is charming and 'quirky'.
I used the loo (more soap and hand cream needed in the dispensers),
right at the back.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
Marissa took me through and I felt very comfortable with her.
Very friendly and professional at the same time.
We chatted and she also told me throughout the treatment what was happening,
and I felt very safe in her hands.
The full body exfoliation (with sugar and oils) was excellent,
with just the right amount of pressure.
Then I was left to have a shower,
then Marissa came to take me through to the tanning room.
For a second I realised that I was naked, except for a disposable towel,
and visible from reception and the street.
Perhaps a stable door or something to spare my maidenly blushes?
I've had a spray tan once before and now realise that wasn't a great experience,
whereas this was fantastic!
Marissa carefully sprayed me with a hand sprayer,
and the result is flawless.
I'm a fan and will look out for other offers to repeat the experience!
I had the very good fortune be recommended to Ian John and upon meeting hjim I was immediately struck by his genuine warm nature and friendly personality.
Ian is a very enthusiastic and takes the time to discuss the treatments and the all benefits of each. The Treatment room is very comfortable, warm and relaxing. I chose a citrus body blast which left my skin feeling soft and refreshed after being deep cleansed. This was followed by an amazing and very relaxing aromatherapy massage. With some sensible aftercare advice about eating lots of fresh fruits and drinking plenty of water, almost a week later, I still feel the uplifting advantages of the massage and the suggested oils working for my wellbeing.
I have already passed Ian John’s details onto other I know will benefit from help expertise and will make regular appointments myself.
Amazingly beautiful and huge spa, a bit hard to find your way into and a bit of a maze inside, but once you're in the staff are friendly and helpful, not at all intimidating, and the facilities are just gorgeous! Three different types of sauna room, a huge jacuzzi with a shower powerful enough to give you a 5 minute neck and shoulder massage, a peaceful full length lap pool and heated relaxation seats. Seriously couldn't ask for more.
So firstly the Hampstead branch isn't a "day spa" it's a couple of cramped treatment rooms close of Hampstead tube. My treatment room was so cramped that the therapist had to repeatedly move the bed to get around it and again to get into the shower to turn it on. I had booked a cellulite buster treatment which is supposed to comprise a full body exfoliation with Elemis ginger scrub, a body brushing, and a lymphatic drainage massage. The therapist asked me at the beginning if I bruised easily as the massage could be quite strong. She proceeded to do a full body scrub which was fine (the therapist was thorough, and the scrub strong but not rough) although the product used wasn't the one in the package description. She then moved the bed to turn on the shower. After a few minutes there was still no hot water and I had to call her. She played around with the controls for a bit and then said she would check the other room. It seems there was no hot water there either so I had to be towelled down on the bed (a cold and fairly unpleasant experience which used up a section of my treatment time and left me covered in gritty particles). I had to ask her to change the towel I was lying on as everything was covered in the remains of the scrub. She then proceeded to do a full body massage which went nowhere near any of the lymph glands (I don't think the girl actually knew what a lymphatic massage was). After the treatment was finished I had to wipe off most of the oil on my skin as it was mixed with scrub that hadn't been properly removed. At the till I queried why she had missed one of the treatments completely and the response I got was that she had done the scrub for longer. She did (without being asked) discount the treatment to remove the cost of the scrub completely but frankly this was one of the least relaxing or pampering treatments I have ever had at any spa. I won't be going back.
This was fabulous. I found the male receptionist a bit shy, and having to walk through reception at street level in my bathrobe to go downstairs for the sauna and shower a bit strange. Suggested that they use only SLS-free soaps as they can make my skin itch and not natural. The downstairs facilities were excellent. Not sure what the body wrap achieved but it was fine. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. My therapist, Anni was completely wonderful. The sauna was super too, whereas I don't usually care for them. Perhaps it was the infra-red heat that made it a much better experience. I loved the body brushing and may get my own brush. The massage was perfect. Just a great experience all round. Oh, and they let me take home the flip flop slippers, which I love. I wish the manager and Anni all the best in the world.
I had the glimmer treatment here and even though it was contrary to what I had expected, it was a relaxing day for me. When I bought the voucher I thought I was in for a traditional body wrap. I expected there to be some mess... But, the glimmer wrap was much more simple. After a brief body scrub, the therapist massages a body lotion over your body (it is not a moisturizing lotion, it is fruit acids etc.) and then wraps you with a nylon sheet. As you wait inside the sheet and under a blanket, the therapist gives you one of the best neck and shoulder massage... Then you go into the sauna... Overall, it was a relaxing treatment for me. Would I go back? Yes, if I were to find a voucher again :) I think the prices as they are a little too high.
Kyia is a highly trained perfectionist he likes your visit and treatments to be exceptional,he is a very focused person and knows exactly what he wants to achieve for his clients, which is the very best service possible. He is a fabulous masseuse with a definite air of mystery that adds to the experience.the salt scub with hot towels was very invigorating the massage was superb and head massage at the end of treatment ws the perfect way to finish.I was deighted with the whole experience from the lovely greeting on arrival from himself and his lovely staff right through to booking another treatment before leaving.Would highly reccomend a visit you wont be sorry.
I recently visited Hillmotts on a 3 day fitness retreat and I can't recommend it enough. The surroundings where stunning, the personal tranier, David, was amazing in getting you to do things which you didn't know you were capable of and not criticising if you did something wrong, great value for money and the treatments were the perfect way to finish a day of hard exercising. I can't wait to return in the next six months to see my development in my fitness and also to see the expansion of Hillmotts which is currently being undertaken.
A great local place to get your massage done, not too much of a spa feel but the treatments are great (revitalise package). My therapist was really professional and listened to all my requirements - good value for money, would definitely recommend it!
On my visit to the kyoshi spa I found the experience professional, relaxing and totally worth the money.
Would recommend this deal which was Back salt scrub with hot stone massage. £25 and would certainly return for this and other treatments.
when i first went into the beauty therpy place i was a bit apprehensive but on my visit on the night off the treatment i was made very welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful and i had my treatment frist then my daughter had hers she was very scared but our therapist was really really good and very thoughtful as well. hemma an nakita
I enjoyed the treatment the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were also given lavender eye masks which were great. The venue was scenic the view of the O2 was memorable. Very relaxing experience.
We had a marvellous afternoon at the Elements Spa, greeted by a friendly recepionist she showed us around the hydro spa and gave clear instructions about the sauna/steam cabinet and the hydro pool.
Everywhere was spotless, towels and robes nice and fluffy.
We spent a lovely couple of hours in there, then we went for our treatments - contrary to previous reviews we found the staff polite, warm and totally professional. The back exfoliation treatment was wonderful, and believe me I have had a lot of spa treatments in my time, thank you Rachel.
I would totally recommend this spa for a girly get together, Mum and daughter treat or a couples time out.
I went to Kiyoshi Spa last month at Abbey House, Booth Street, I had a facial by Kyia the male therapist, I have had many facials and spa treatments all over the world in many 5 Star resorts and hotels, the facial I experiance's was incredible, I can honestly say that I have never had a facial like this, I am so impressed with the therapists skills and the attention to detail, I felt so incredible after the treatment, my skin felt AMAZING!!! I had the DIAMOND ELITE Micro-Dermabrasion treatment, this left my skin feeling silky smooth and soft to touch, the Germaine 5 Star Skin Care they use is our of this world! They smelt so wonderful, they use steam in the facial and I requested for Extraction which they do, they call it Chinese Extraction, it cleared my skin up and my skin looked flawless for days after and wweks later my skin still felt so much healthier and new again!
I also went to visit Kyia on Bengal Street after purchasing my new Germaine Skin Care products, I went to meet Kyia to collect my products and he took me to show me there new premises on Great Ancoats Street at 8-10 Outram House, it looks great, obviously they have lots to decorate inside which I'm sure it will look lovely in time, big place I thought! They are expanding and it's great to be apart of Kiyoshi Spa's progression! Can't wait to see what they do next!
I have an appointment coming up at there new permanent premises with Kyia and I really looking forward to my treatments, I have also had ipl hair removal and it works incredibly well, all my hair us dropping out on my back, I hate hair and this is a life saver! There machine is very good, I would recommend anyone to Kiyoshi Spa especialy my close friends and family, the treatments are awesome!
Chelsea Harbour Club Amida Spa and Clinic is a very posh place. The car park is like a showroom. However, some areas of the club could do with refurbishment, including new carpets. The shower was full of scale and the water dripped out. But I managed to clean the shower head myself and it was perfect after that. Apart from these obvious oversights by management, the club and massage facilities are very nice.
Took my girlfriend for a surprise gift. Beautiful ambience, really friendly and welcoming staff
It was such a fantastically relaxing experience. It's sensual, aromatic and you come away with the smoothest skin. I would recommend this treatment and these facilities to anyone especially couples.
The venue is quite a long walk from the station and I couldn't easily figure out where I was supposed to enter the Club. It was through a gate in a hedge. Then I waited at Reception, new staff, not knowing the ropes. They had my appointment down as 1.45pm instead of 2pm but I figured they had their own reasons for that. The Club reception staff directed me to the Amida Spa. I generally found myself getting lost in the place. Then my therapist rushed me through filling in a form, explaining that I was late, should have been there at 1.45 and the time would be deducted from my appointment. It was a fabulous exfoliation treatment though, and I was left to have a shower. Then someone led me down and showed me around the water spa facilities. Didn't have a swimsuit, so spent my time in the Aroma steam room, very pleasant. After I got back, I contacted the Spa to complain about the confusion and they have given me another appointment for free, so I'll try that out and hope for a more relaxing experience. I came away with towelling slippers that I was to otherwise throw in the bin. Am wearing them now! How the other half live, eh?
The Chelsea Harbour Club is a island of tranquility in the bustling busy city of London. The private club is located on the Thames, easily accessible from South West & West London. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and gave me directions to the spa - two floors down. As you approach the spa itself along the long corridor it is light with low relaxing lighting and the spa reception itself is very luxurious. The spa staff were extremely friendly and had no issue with the Wahanda voucher, treating me as if I was a full paying private club member. I was given a robe and slippers and shown where to change. I had not realised that the club was a full on spa with hydrotherapy pool, warm 2 lane length pool, steam rooms, sauna room, hot beds, ice chute and tropical showers - it was pure heaven to relax for an hour before I enjoyed a wonderful ginger & lime scrub from a highly trained and very friendly therapist. I will be going back!
I absolutely loved this place. From the moment I stepped off the train to the waiting (complimentary) car service everything was perfect. The room was lovely, the gardens beautiful, food delicious, treatments wonderful and the staff excellent. I will definately be going back.
The Armida Spa is absolutely heavenly and the value of this offer was amazing - free use of the Spa facilities plus use of all the towels you could need, luxury bathrobe and slippers plus an Elemis lime and ginger salt body rub and all for £25. And the staff couldn't have been more helpful - even when I didn't have a pound coin for the locker one was found and given to me without my needing to ask for change. The treatment was every bit as luxurious as you'd expect any Elemis treatment and the therapist as helpful and well-trained as you'd expect from Elemis. Absolutely faultless - I felt like I was walking on air when I left.
My friend and I really enjoyed our day at the spa. I have been to a few spas before and some can be quite intimidating due to the rather 'superior' girls on reception. However, we were welcomed with warmth and friendliness and after we filled out the forms were shown to the plush changing rooms then we were taken though to the spa which was so gorgeous. There was only a few people the whole time we were there and we jumped straight into the empty pool for a few laps (which was very welcome because of the Indian summer). We spent a long time in the hydrotherapy pool, then the steam room, then the salt room then we relaxed on the heated loungers. We had our ginger and lime exfolitaion which was devine. My friend could not beleive how soft and good her skin felt. And they were able to fit me in with an indian head massage which was utter bliss. We then left the spa and went for a coffee in the restaurant and sat outside. I cannot fault it. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind. I would definately go back.
I was very disappointed with the spa area (pool, steam and sauna). It looked old and in need of a refurbishment. The treatment rooms were nice and comfortable, and the therapists were good. It was a shame that the spa was not part of the actual hotel because I got the impression that it was. The afternoon tea was enjoyable.
great place with the spa in the basement which meant it was nice and dark with a lovely ambience created by the low lighting. we were lucky to be the only people there tho it was a monday afternoon. lovely end to the day sipping prosecco looking over the river by the heliport!
A friend and I purchased the £25 mob deal and throughly enjoyed the time spent there. It was very easy to book and we managed to get appointments quite fast. Sometimes with mob deals you can end up waiting months for an appointment. The spa wasn't too busy either so it was great. It was quite easy to find, upon entering we could hear lots of children, as there is a main pool. Once in the spa we couldn't hear a thing so that was a relief. There is a hydro pool, steam room, sauna an aromathrapy room and a pool. We tried all things out exept the pool. The hydro pool was very nice and relaxing. The treatments were very good. My therapist was very knowledgeable and told me about the products she was using. My skin looked and felt great afterwards. I'll definitely go back and would recommend.
my therapist was really nice, very warm and chatty, she explained the different procedures and products she was using as she went along.
Really good value, really nice ambience, all of the staff are really friendly.
excellent location, beautiful salon, lovely staff, great exfoliation and spray tan! It went on perfect and stayed, just needed maybe a bit more barrier cream on my toes and knuckles! would def go again.
Six Senses Spa is my favourite spa in London, despite the fact that it's situated a stones throw away from Canary Wharf. Its very discreet and the ambience and atmosphere is so relaxing you forget that you're in London.
Natalie gave me an amazing full body massage, in fact the best I've ever had! They're facilities are so clean and pristine, you almost don't want to mess anything up! As any good spa, they provide you with robes, multiple towels and flip flops. After your treatment, your're encouraged to relax in the relaxation suite with a blanket and they provide you with some ginger tea and dried fruit... I have fallen asleep quite a few times there! Love, love, love it. If you want a spa that you don't have to take a whole day out to visit then this place is definitely ideal, 2/3 hours here is a great way to start, interupt or end the week!
this is a nice salon, and i particularly liked my therapist she was a wonderful therapist, i think her name was Maria. its an interesting treatment, body exfoliation, then they put a mask on and a infra red lamp, my skin was really smooth afterwards.
I visited the Dreamsday Spa in carlisle with my daughter just before by holiday for a body scrub and facial. The staff were very attentive and sensitive to our needs. We changed into gowns and relaxed in the peaceful atmostphere of the waiting room before being taken upstairs for our treatments. The treatment rooms are warm and welcoming, scented candles and soothing music allow you to instantly forget about the hussle and bussle of the day and totally relax. Staff spoke to us througout the treatments giving information on the products they were using and the procedures being used, this allowed us to feel totally at ease and relaxed as we laid back and enjoyed the experience. After the treatment we were taken back to the waiting area where we to relaxed into the soft comfortable reclining chairs and enjoyed a refreshing glass of orange juice before getting redressed and ready to leave. I would highly recommend the dreamsday spa in carlisle to all.
I found the reception area very cramped, but that might of been because people arrived very early for their treatments expecting to find spa facilities they could use first. There are only four or five small treatment rooms but I understand that there are plans to add to these as the business grows. The treatments I had were very nice and the cream tea was very enjoyable.
The therapist was very very helpful friendly and di a great job. I would book with her again. The staff at the venue were also helpful and polite. Quite a small salon however and a bit crapmed.
Good faciliteis - pool, sauna, steam room, jaqquizzi. All very clean, and clean showers / changing area. Lime and ginger salt scrub was lovely. Going back and taking a friend as a gift.
have to say this is the best massage I have had - the only shame was the error over my booking. the date was booked ~ 7 months in advance for a sea salt exfoliation, massage and hot stones.
on arrival i was informed that they were running late - which turned out to be a 1 hour delay. i was then given a consultation on microdermabrasion - so a complete error in the booking.
once this was rectified though the treatment was very good and offered discounts on future bookings as compensation
From the minute you walk through the door until the end of the day it is wonderful. The staff, facilities and food in the restaurant are all first class. The therapist I had to do the treatments was extremely good and I would not hesitate to recommend her. I will certainly be returning to Seaham Hall in the not too distant future.
Had another great treatment. Started with full body exfoliation using peppermint oil which feels tingly and is very soothing. Then wrapped in towels and blankets to heat the body up. I did question why they no longer used the foil to wrap the body (which I actually prefer) and was informed that it was a cost issue. Nevertheless the effect was nearly as good.
The facial was really nice and my therapist Vicky even gave me a pressure point head massage. After having a shower my whole body (except feet) was moisturised. I noticed on this occasion I was not provided with slippers to walk to the shower area. I didn't question it but assume it may be a costing issue. I was given a shower cap though and a nice big fluffy robe on my exit from the shower though!! On my next visit I will bring my own shower slippers.
This treatment is worth every penny and Vicky the therapist knows her stuff. She even gave me 4 sample pots to use at home as well so that was a nice touch. I WILL BE BACK!!! (again) ;-)
me and my daughter had a lovely time at sk, it was lovely and clean, lovely staff who all looked the part, a very relaxing time and loved the showers in the rooms, will go back again
The staff we quite inflexable even though I knew that they could be more so. The establishment was clean and tidy but the treatment room was quite smal. The therapist was very friendly but my treatments were cut short which was disappointing as the building is quite hard to find as it's on the corner of another road to the address. Overall it was ok and I only got 2 and a half out of the 3 treatments I had pre-paid for. I wasn't able to go with my friend whom I had also bought the voucher for whcih was disappointing too due to their inflexability.
I bought this voucher because of all the good reviews I had heard about this place. And to tell the truth I wasn’t disappointed!!! Tanya is incredible not only as a professional but also as a human being! This voucher was for a package that includes an endermologie session, a body exfoliation treatment and a body wrap. And I have to say that even though the session lasted between 2 and 3 hours but I enjoyed every single second of it. Can’t wait to go back!
My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Serenity Spa and everything was absolutely perfect. I am saving my pennies to go again in the not too distant future with my husband. The staff at the spa were fantastic and the staff at Wahanda were more than helpful when I made an error (my fault entirely) in my booking and went out of their way to help me.
Thank you for a wonderful day.
it was lovely, a nice warm friendly welcome, very clean even had fresh fruit in waiting area, would def go again, it had showers in each of the rooms, the girls were well presented
We had the Moroccan Steam room and mud wrap treatment. It was self service but fun. All the 'ingrediants' were layed out and staff went through how to apply. There was no rush. Very smooth service. Great value. Wonderful view over Thames directly to the Dome from the relaxation room.
This has to be one of the best spa's in London. The facilities are absolutely superb and so big that even during busy periods you don't feel at all bothered by other people using the facilities. I was impressed with the level of cleanliness both in the pool area as well as the changing room. Changing rooms are spacious and with private cubicles should you wish to use them.
I went for the exfoliation treatment. It was ok, at one point the therapist used a specific product which is meant to be kept on the skin for 10 minutes but it felt more like 10 hours as it was very itchy (she did warn me about it though!). I then went back to the pool to relax in their heated relaxation beds and enjoy the rest of my day at the centre. A day to remember!
My husband and I spent 2 weeks here on our honeymoon! The best part (silly as it sounds) was the cool cloths that smelled like licorice when we entered the spa
i had a dermalogica back treatment which included an exfoliation and massage, it was great value for money! The therapist was very friendly and thorough and the massage was lovely, although i was quiet knotty! Its a nice little salon and would recommend this treatment to anybody!
The mud serail treatment was more self service than I expected which was probably best but it wasn't explained exactly how it was going to work. I had no idea what was going to happen so a breif explanation woud have been good but the overall experience was good and my skin felt great after.
The pedicure was only a mini one and really just cuticle treatment and a polish. I would have liked a whole foot scrub but for the money it was good.
I went with my youngest daughter for a treat and that is what we had and both enjoyed it to the max. Overall it was a lovely relaxing day, we had good treatments and very nice food as well, The facilities were very clean, tidy and most of all not overcrowded which is just how I like it. I definitely would recommend it to anyone and would most definitely go again.
What I actually paid for was not enough - so we had to purchase something else whilst we were waiting. We were kept waiting for a long time and no one told us why.
When we eventually got ushered into the changing area - they didnt say what the next step was - so left us. We made our own way into the Steam Bath area and sat there for about 45 minutes.
We thought they had forgotten about us.
We werent too impressed but having said that - the guys that did the treatment were very good
I just wish they would let clients know what to expect and what will happen and how long we are suppose to be hanging around for.
The therapist Tanya was very friendly, professional and explained everything about the treatment. She was very caring and gave me good instructions to find the location of the salon and the timing of the overall treatment was spot on. Would recommend!
If you feel life is getting on top of you, I recommend taking time out and treating yourself to a special day to find yourself again. With ambience and facilities that will unwind and relax you with hot tubs outside where you can relax with a glass of bubbly. To a sauna that can let you have the tropical feel that lets you perspire all the toxins that have built up in you. With a great pool to swim in and spa stations to stop at and relax. Then enjoy a superb lunch in the ozone restaurant with views around you while you enjoy lunch and staff who attend to your every need. Than relax by the pool until its time for another treatment that makes you feel special.
If their is every a need to refresh yourself then this is the place to be.
the staff is really nice. They body wraps are very nice, my body feels really smooth. The facial is also very nice and leaves my skin really soft and moist.
The therapist was extremely friendly and very nice, however her takling skills were better than her therapist skills! the srcub was OK but quite harsh and the massage that followed was a little light. Also the eyebrow threading as the free treatment was OK but because i nromally get my eyebrows threaded routinely, it didnt compare. over all was OK udner the deal but wouldnt pay full price.
went last year before my wedding.
Very beautiful spa was greeted like a princess :)
I had a day package which included Afew treatments, lunch and use of facilities.
The changing rooms are nice bottled water, herbal drinks available.
The hydrotherapy pool was great I had the whole place to myself
Used the sauna and steam room.
The relaxation room was amazing magazines, fruit, water.
Nice blankets and flower on each bed totally amazing.
The treatments were equally amazing.
Lunch area was busy I ordered sea bass which I didn't like hadn't tried it before
So told the waiter who gladly asked me what I would prefer
And he made me lovely vegetables and potatoes very posh type
Great place and didn't want to leave.
Would go back but very expensive.
I took my mother n law for her 80th Birthday, and my daughter as she is due to have a baby in 4 weeks so was in need of some relaxation. Well, Rookery Hall certainly lived up to the reviews I read on Wahanda's site. We arrived at 9.30am and was met by a member of staff who provided us with fruit juice and our robes, slippers and towels. She helpfully went through our treatments, times etc and showed us around the spa and treatment areas. The Amber room was just devine, it was so relaxing, relaxing music, beautiful smells etc. Herbal teas and lemon iced water was available, also fresh fruit. We were allowed to try all the products on display whilst we relaxed in the Amber room waiting for our treatments. The treatments were lovely, we all loved all the treatments we had and the staff were really friendly and helpful. At lunchtime we were served with a lovely healthy meal which we had pre booked, we were also provided with a glass of champayne each as it was mums birthday. Then in the afternoon we had more treatments and relaxed in the pool and hydratherapy pool which was devine. Overall we had an amazing, relaxing day. We did'nt leave until about 5.30pm so we had a full day of relaxation, perfection, will definately be going back. Would definately recommend this spa, its the best spa I've been to xxx Thankyou Wahanda xxx Jan RD, Stacey and Norma xx
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Jade, the staff were lovely and the treatments fantastic I would definitely recommend!! I love my nails and tan and will be visitng again :) Thank You
I stayed one night with a friend, with the Wahanda deal it was a great deal. The hotel was clean and room was very spacious. Staff were very helpful, especially when we accidentally set off the safe alarm.
We both had an exfoliating treatment, therapist was very knowledgable and faciliaties were very calming. I would definately recommend.
Initially I booked my appointment for April, but it was cancelled last minute due to a therapist not being available. So my appointment was moved to June. On the day of my appointment, which was in the afternoon, I arrived there to be told that my appointment was in fact 2 hours earlier!? They had put me down on the correct date but the wrong time! Finally they moved it to few weeks later but on a Saturday morning and that was the last date they can extend this offer to.
So I had the Dermalogica full body scrub and massage. Overall I was quite pleased with it. The therapist was good and thorough with her massage and I felt relaxed.
Bought the voucher for my mum who thoroughly enjoyed the treatment. I booked myself in for something as well and found the whole experience to be wonderful. Fabulous staff, fabulous building...can't wait to visit again!
I have told all my friends and family about how wonderful Cleo and her team are at Hillmotts. David, Massimo and Lee's different approaches were fantastic and all complimented each other. This meant that all the people in our group's needs were met. It's true that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. I feel fitter and stronger than ever and appreciate the personal touches (e.g.ferrying me back and forth when necessary and extra training with Massimo ) that made my stay that more comfortable. I left with a much more positive attitude towards exercise and knowledge about nutrition and a real belief that I can continue to look after myself.
Additionally, I would like to mention the friendliness of the spa staff and particularly Adele. Her Sugar Body Scrub treatment was amazing! I am sure that I will return to the retreat in the future and hope to see it go from strength to strength.
The place is very small and mainly seems to be a tanning shop. However, staff were helpful. I arrived early and they were able to see me almost straight away whcih was great. Treatment was find, although a pity is was so quick. Very practical and effective, just not much of an 'experience'.
The Amida spa may be one of the best spas I have been to because of the jacuzzi area, the choice of rooms, and the simple beauty of the spa area. The Mamma Mio treatment was fabulous as well.
The only problem is the confusion with the entrance. If you come through the wrong doors, you end up in a maze to try to find the actual spa. I made the mistake of going to the wrong pool before realizing that I clearly wasn't in the spa area. However, when I did get there I was guided to the spa area and enjoyed the powerful jacuzzi and sauna rooms. The only complaint I would have is that there aren't many areas to sit and relax.
The Mamma Mio treatment was perfect - like a facial for your back and bum. I don't think my back thighs have ever looked and felt so good. I would highly recommend this procedure!
Looking forward to going back to Amida Spa in the future.
Wow - this was the absolute best spa experience I have ever had. I signed up for the Romance for Two package which was in a full private suite with a tub. The therapists and treatments were amazing. My therapist Olivia gave the absolute best massage and a phenomenal facial as well. The description of the package is below.
The products used smelled so amazing (a product line called June Jacobs out of NY), and everyone from the check in & check out staff to the therapists were just lovely and super helpful.
The treatment started with a foot cleaning & massage, followed by a body brush exfoliation, a deep tissue massage, a 30 minute relaxing body soak, and then a fantastic facial. What a way to start a vacation. This place is special. Go if you can!!

The staff were really friendly and chatty. My therapist explained the treatments as she went along and recommend products to use.
This salon offers a wide range of treatments and is very spacious and modern, reallu good ambience.
The salon in Ealing is not much to look at from the outside but well worth a visit! Zeena the therapist put me at ease instantly & I enjoyed a fantastic body scrub & Swedish massage. My skin felt amazing afterwards, clean, soft & glowing! I'm definitely going back!
I had a full body exfoliation treatment prior to going on holiday so that my skin would be ready for the summer rays.
This was my first time at Solace and I was extremely impressed. On-site parking is a welcome bonus and I received a warm welcome from the receptionist.
The reception area is very red(!) - rather like you'd imagine a Victorian boudoir for 'ladies of questionable morals' to be working in !!! but this is my only slight complaint for an otherwise perfect visit.
I appreciated the complimentary drinks and only waited a few minutes before being greeted by Becky.
The treatment room was a good size and very clean. Ideal temperature, lighting was ambient with relaxing background music.
The actual treatment was well explained and very relaxing too. Becky was very friendly - with just the right amount of chat (nothing worse than when a beauty therapist talks 'ten to the dozen' whilst you're trying to lose yourself!!)
Now that I've found Solace Spa I will certainly return and would definitely recommend.
The Park Royal has a good Leisure suite, I liked the swimming pool area. The treatments, the back exfoliation followed by back massage was lovely, the therapist was very good. The facial was also good but my friend had an arm massage and neck massage whilst having a face mask I didn't so felt slightly jealous, so I guess it just depends on the therapist that you get ! The relaxation room was disappointing, it reminded me more of a dentist waiting room than a Spa relaxation room. We had to ask for hot water to make tea. The manicure was not so good, again it maybe down to the therapist. The nail polish was very watery and needed 3 coats, after waiting 45 minutes for the nails to dry, we went swimming. I found that 3 of my nails had smudged and when I went back about 4.45pm to ask for a touch up, there was no one round to help. The nail polish also chipped after 2 days. My friend had hers done and she had no problem and it is still good 5 days later. I also asked to have my eyebrows shaped this they did well and managed to squeeze me in at short notice.
Another disappointment was the afternoon tea, My friend and I shared one in the leisure area, although the afternoon tea said it included tea or coffee, as I asked for 2 Lattes I was charged for an extra 2 Lattes on top of the inclusive price. I won't have minded paying a supplement but come on an extra £4.20 for 2 very small Lattes was not good !! The sandwcihes were not terribly nice the smoked salmon was grey (very cheap cuts) and the scones not fresh consiering we paid £12.99 for 1 afternoon tea it was not acceptable. I paid £17.19 it was not well spent.
All in all our Spa was OK, I've had better and worse. Would I recommend it I'm not sure. If you do go don't order afternoon tea !!
This was given to me as a birthday present and as it turned out it was one of the best birthday presents every. I will recommend the Spa and treaments to friends and family.
I had the salt scrub treatment. Even though it was a 30 minute treatment - the application and exfoliation only took 10 mins. Having said that, you wouldn't have wanted someone to have kept rubbing your skin or your would have been red raw! The therapist was really friendly.
I took my best friend here for her christmas present and we had a wonderful day. we used all the facilites and were made very welcome. Only slight point was our massages were at different times but we just relaxed alone for a bit which was still lovely. now im going to take my husband for our anniversary ( i get to share half the pressy then!)
Zeena was knowledgeable and very likeable, and I found the scrub and massage, carried out on a comfortable heated massage bed, lovely and relaxing. My skin felt fresh and soft afterwards, and the facial massage that ended the treatment, which included essential oils, was super!
Zeena's opening a new treatment room soon and I would definitely like to try it out.
Absolutely divine!
I purchased a voucher for body exfoliation and massage on groupon and booked it for a Saturday afternoon. A lovely lady came to my home with her own massage table, and gave me the most amazing exfoliation and massage I've ever had! Incredible.
I would definitely recommend this experience. It made my day! I came away feeling relaxed and amazing.
Thanks so much!
Megan Jane
This was quite relaxing and my skin did feel smoother afterwards but I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price for such a short scrub. Ladies here very nice and great feel about the place.
The staff were incredibly friendly although the place was a little run down but in a very convenient location. I went with a friend and we had a salt scrub which left our skin feeling smooth although I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin! They have a range of services available. Overall very good value for money with friendly service!
I was fortunate enough to find a parking space outside the spa lounge otherwise I would have struggled to find somewhere to leave my car- and thats the only thing I can think of to complain about! The staff were lovely, the spa was decorated luxuriously, the treatment was thorough and not rushed. I was made to feel welcome and at ease. The treatment wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. An all round really good experience, Thanks
My husband & I attended this treatment to start a pampering regime for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. And what a wonderful experience it was. We both throughly enjoyed the Mud Bath Body treatment and the Turkish Bath we recieved. We came out shining and our skin was so smooth and soft. I would definitly book another sessions. I actually described the day as ABSOLUTELY WICKED 100% worth every penny spent.
An amazing venue- great spa facilities, very luxurious.
The exfoliation treatment was excellent. Very relaxing and thorough. My skin still feels soft and radiant a month later. The hydropool is the best I have ever experienced and the gym is fully equipped. Would definitely recommend.
I've just come back from a really fantastic scrub and massage with Zeena. My shoulders feel noticeably more relaxed and my skin is incredibly soft. I'll definitely be using Zeena again, and I highly recommend other members of the Wahanda community to try her out. My only slight quibble was that the facilities were only 'ok', but I know Zeena is moving to a better salon soon.
My friend and I had a fantastic time and left feeling silky smooth! Thoroughly enjoyed the treatment, the ambience was so relaxing and the staff were lovely!
Would definately recommend this treatment and spa to a friend!
The environment was superb; clean and relaxing spa with extrememly welcoming and polite members of staff. The therapist was great and tailored the therapy to my needs. You can do things at your own pace rather that rush around to get everything done. Excellent!
I went to Kalma Spa after purchasing a voucher online from kgbdeals - by no fault of kgbdeals, Kalma Spa was the worst experience I have ever had in a spa in my life and I would NOT recommend this spa to anyone.
I have a number of complaints with relation to my dealings with Kalma Spa:
1) I tried to book an appointment for weeks and I'd always get their vm, in spite of leaving multiple messages no one called me back.
2) When I finally managed to get through to someone a few weeks ago, the lady was extremely rude on the phone and said 'we have a lot of Groupon customers now and we're not giving kgbdeals customers priority. You can't select a time, we'll give you an options of two slots - take it if you want or don't take it if you don't want' - which is really no way to treat customers!
3) When I finally got to Kalma Spa for my 3.30pm appointment on June 20th - they refused to accept my voucher and told me the voucher number I have does not exist. They told me my voucher number was not in the list of numbers kgbdeals had passed on to them
4) After much argument, they commenced my treatment at 3.50pm - my 30 min exfoliation turned into a 10 minute exfoliation session
5) The voucher said I'd get a choice of 30 min massages - I was not given a choice. In fact, after my 10 min exfoliation I was told my treatment was finished and I should go home.
6) After much argument, they agreed to a massage. Which was also only 10 mins! It's a disgrace calling it a massage though, the lady put towels in boiling water and put the towel over my body. Not for one second did her hands touch my skin. It was an absolute joke!
The staff was unfriendly and highly unprofessional. The spa has no regards for customer service. The whole point of going to a spa is to feel pampered and if you're looking for a great spa experience, I would strongly recommend NOT going to Kalma Spa.
I purchased the Moroccan mud treatment therapy for me and my mum for mothers day. As soon as I managed to find the place (not that difficult - I just wasn't familiar with the area) the staff at the hotel directed us towards the spa. We were given keys to pre-paid lockers which included fluffy bath robes, towels and towels. The spa told us to arrive early so we can use their spa facilities, to see we were able to enjoy the sauna, aromatic, steam room, ice fountain and experience showers for a good hour and a half. The spa is very cleanly and small and as we went during the day time on a wednesday, only a few other people were there, so it was a nice experience.
One downside is that they told us that they would come to get us from the spa when it was time for our treatment, however they didn't. Luckily I kept an eye on the time, so I was 5 minutes late when I went to the reception for it.
The morrocan mud therapy isn't for everyone! My mum really enjoyed it, I thought it was ... interesting. Glad I did it though. It depends on whether you don't mind getting a bit mucky. You are taken to a private room, with a bench, steam chamber with two seats on opposite sides so you and the other can talk inside, and a separate shower outside the chamber. They provide you with mud, exfoliating salt, a face pack, a face towel, disposable knickers!, sparkling water (as you get extremely hot and dehydrated in the steam room - I popped outside the chamber a few times - there's also taps/showers to cool you down inside the chamber). I enjoyed the experience, however another downside was that the therapist came in to turn off the steam/on the showers; which is quite embarrassing and not private enough - so that is something they could improve on. But don't let that put you off, as it was enjoyable overall. (Note: I wouldn't go with my friend, unless you don't mind being semi-naked in front of them)
After the treatment, you can use the relaxation room - which was one of my favourite times! There are heated marble loungers (with a lamp...incase its night) with a panoramic view of the dome/thames. It was very tranquil. With the treatment, they provide you with a lemon ice sorbet which was just the finishing touch :) They also had a selection of aromatic teabags, fruit and sparkling/still water. We relaxed there for a good hour at least and we didn't feel pressured to leave, and just went on our own accord.
As soon as I'm done with college, I'll definitely go again.
Wow I wrote a lot, hope this helps!
I found the name Pacifica Day Spa a bit misleading - it is essentially a salon. There are no chill out areas, pools etc, after all. Once I'd got past that, the experience was actually ok. The downstairs zone is tranquil and smells beautiful, staff are knowledgeable and friendly. My massage was excellent and the therapist really worked out all my knots. I was disappointed with the facial and exfoliating body treatment however. My facial didn't include steaming or extraction, and my skin didn't look or feel remarkably different afterwards, such as with my favourite Cowshed facials. The exfoliating treatment left a nice moisturising residue and the body brushing felt really effective but I did not think the product used to exfoliate was great. I suspect most of the above is due to the salon using Elemis products, which I always find to be quite average. The colour range available for manis and pedis was also not huge, although the OPI products they used were good. The package cost £180 overall, so I probably won't return.
This is the second time I have had the enlighten package. This time my therapist was Nicki who is an absolute professional!!!
I was wrapped in mud this time (which was quite something). My skin felt GREAT afterwards. I will definetly be a regular at this spa. Nicki and Vicky are EXCELLENT!!
Busy salon next to Chancery Lane station. I had a scrub and a massage. There's a shower in between but the therapist did not clean the towels after the scrub so I was not too impressed to lay back on the "salty" towel. There's spa facility (which is already included in my deal) but they did not mention so I was a little disappointed. Overall, I'd say it's a so-so experience.
I went for the Wahanda offer of a scrub and massage. Zeena, my therapist was very good, she discussed what I preferred beforehand, and made sure that the pressure was right for me. Zeena's is in the basement of a hairdressers salon, so not a spoil your mum event, just yourself. However, the treatment room was nice with candles and relaxing music. I will return.
We had an amazing mini break at Brooklands! the hotel was gorgeous and the rooms were very luxurious! the outdoor hot tub was good fun and the treatments were amazing. We all enjoyed the afternoon tea too. I would def suggest you take a break here :O)
yet another great treatment here! everything was fantastic, hope i can get another deal very soon.would definately reccomend weather you are in the area or not.the music was much more relaxing this time.
Really nice spa - good atmosphere and nice staff. Treatments are really nice and I felt so relaxed and refreshed at the end of it. Although I didn't have lunch - I would recommend it as the smell was lovely! Will definitely be coming back soon.
Went to Zeena Health and Beauty for a Thai scrub and massage (60min treatment). I was very impressed! I am a bit of a massage junky, and this massage was spot on - I left feeling relaxed and slept amazingly well that night. The scrub was great, leaving my skin feeling supersoft. Zeena was obviously very knowledgeable, and incredibly professional. I will be returning, and recommending it to friends. It's not in a fancy location, but don't let that put you off!
AMAZING!!! Been here so many times and still havent found one single fault with this place! Come here on a regular basis as the staff, facilities and spa itself make you feel in heaven! Its truly a hidden gem, and you must check this place out! the staff are so polite and friendly, and are really helpful with advice on many things, even not their area of expertise. From massage to microdermabrasion; utterly wonderful!
The voucher was only for head, shoulder and neck massage but I had fantastic therapist who offered me the exfoliating treatment with thorough back massage. Great service, lovely therapist!
Greeted by the manager on our arrival at this lovely spa, taken into lovely warm treatment room for my massage with exfoliation, which was probably the best massage i have ever had (and i have told every single person i can about going there! )
Brilliant value for money too, i am constantly shocked by the low prices here (i'm not complaining!)
Everything about my experience at Glamour House was perfect. The 2 therapists that did mine and my friend's treatment were very nice, very friendly and clearly experienced and knew their stuff. They didn't rush the treatments or rush us when we were finished. The place is immaculate and the facilities are great. It couldn't have been better!
I enjoyed my time last week for many different reasons. The whole experience was just what I needed and exceptionally enjoyable. Every component of the programme was well thought through, intuitive and well organised. I learnt all that I needed to about nutrition, healthy eating and exercise, whilst taking onboard new challenges and feeling completely comfortable during my whole stay.
You helped me achieve my own goals reigniting my motivation to take care of myself in a sensible way and recognise the changes I need to make I could not have enjoyed my time more, the stunning scenery, the beautiful food, the great exercise routines, the balance of the days and the time to relax and pamper myself was all just perfect
Went with the girlies, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the exfoliation treatment. Would definately recommend and we intend to go there again. Location is far from ideal/pleasant but Pasha is a hidden treasure! Restaurant was disappointing, advised we had to wait over an hour for our food, which was an entirley different menu to which was advertised on their website. Manager apoligised profusley but we had to cancel and eat elsewhere. Overall we were all very pleased :)
The experience was great!I went with a friend and we went a little bit early so we could use the spa facilities sauna steam room pool, everything was great and they picked us up to take us to a room in the first floor with too therapy beds candels and really relaxing music they did a body scrub for us which smelt very nice and it last for 30min.the stuff was very helpful and friendly
excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!excellent customer service and very suited to assit you in any way possible
v ery helpful
and insightful and informative
enjoable experience
really excellent and well executed
just go and experience
Zeena was very friendly and it was an enjoyable experience since I hadn't had a treatment in years. Don't be put off by mobile voice message, calls are returned promptly when not with clients. If I lived near by I would go again.
went to thoresby with my sister in law when we had such bad snow. wow the staff they were clearing it all away for the customers to arrive. those two men who helped my sister in law with her case.want a medal. and on going home they made sure we got to our car without an accident of falling on the bad ice. they had cleared the car park for residents, no one could have done a better job in those weather conditions.
the spa was great. a bit expensive and since we have been it has changed to a world spa and become more expensive. we thought it could be cheaper and the bar drinks are so expensive. the meals in the special restaurant we went in was lovely and a reasonable add on price. the standard meal place is great with a great choice. wish we could afford to go again but even the deals are expensive.
Please dont be put off by previous reviews. Yes location is undesirable.. But as you walk through the doors yoy literally walk into turkey!
Lovely chill out reception area with free flowing turkish tea- lovely staff. Room clean, wirh flat screen tv and freeview/sky,mini bar, lovely bathroom with rainshower!
Traditional turkish hamman lovely - went in a group of four - plenty of room, post hamman fresh fruit wqs provided with more tea and water.
Dinner was amazing - set menu or plenty of choice...dinner at ar table or on the floor stools.
Simple cooked breakfast.
Would definately go again.. Overall stay was amazing value for money!
This spa is located into a Virgin active gym, which looks really fantastic. The spa is rather small but the ambiance is great and my therapist was excellent. I originally booked a mud wrap: the spa called me three days in advance to inform me that they were out of mud and they offered me to reschedule the treatment or change it. I have decided to change it and I had a full body exfoliation and a great facial. The products they use are excellent (you can buy them there and they are very good value for money) and I would definitely recommend this facility.
The therapist was fantastic, extremely professional and friendly.
Treatment was the full time slot, I had a body scrub so not exactley relaxing but certainly enjoyable.
My only criticism is that the scrub didn't include my clevage, not exactly a massive problem but I felt my skin was not the full smoothness and therefore my fake tan which I occassionally have would have been uneven.
I mentioned this to a friend who was going a week or two later and she requested that this was done to her therapist, the therapist was happy to oblige.
Value wise, the wahanda voucher made me feel that this treatment was value for money, the full price I think is a little steep for this to be a regular treatment for me.
the spa is fantastic in the heart of the city centre but when you walk throught the doors you can't tell you are still in the city centre. lovely atmosphere and great therapist. the treatment was excellent value for money.
The spa is located near to birmingham city centre and fortunately it had its own private car park. this saved a lot of hassle trying to find a parking space in birmingham. When i arrived i was led to the waiting room and refreshments were on offer whilst i waited. The therapist introduced herself and was quite knowledgeable. The therapist also gave advice in relation to exfoliation... advice that i took away and follow regularly. I have noticed the difference in my skin, that being its so soft, by following the advice given. I would recommend this spa.
I arrived very early as its usually quite hard to find parking space in 5 ways but to my suprise they have a large carpark, as i was early i was led to there waiting room which is very comfy and relaxing where you can help yourself to fresh water or herbal tea
My therapist Annette was spot on time, the treatment was very proffesional my skin felt great after, overall it was a very pleasant experience.
i recently visited the Solace Spa in Birmingham and had an exfoliation treatment. The whole experience was lovely it started with a nice exfolistion scrubb all over followed by a shower then a smoorth body cream.
Overall, a very relaxing experience; staff very friendly & excellent value for money. Would definately recommend! The exfoliation scrub left my skin feeling really smooth & refreshed, & the massage left me feeling stress free. The spa is in an old synagogue which creates a calm & relaxed atmosphere; lovely relaxing music, which i felt could have been a little louder when having our treatments.
Really enjoyed the treatment and felt refreshed and tingly afterwards. Rachael, the therapist, was lovely and very knowledgeable about all the products. Was able to treat myself to some gorgeous facial serum as well, as the Wahanda deal included a discount voucher! :-)
Calling this a 'spa' is slightly misleading. The receptionist was a bit offish and chilly and didn't give a very friendly welcome., but the venue is pleasant enough - bright, small, clean and tidy, but it's more like the sort of place you would pop in for a quick manicure rather than someone you would want to spend any degree of time, or go for a relaxing massage, so I was a little bit disappointed as I had expected something a little more relaxing and 'spa-like' for my treatments. I had a massage and body scrub, the latter it turned out, literally involved just rubbing a bit of exfoliator into my back (no other part of my body) and rinsing it with a wet flannel.
The massage was okay, but pretty mediocre. My therapist was very sweet and friendly, but I didn't get the impression she was particularly well trained as a masseur, and didn't she didn't seem to be very methodical or put a great deal of effort into it; most of the time, she massaged with her elbows, and although I'd asked for a strong pressure massage, it wasn't really strong enough to feel the benefit.
Fantastic treatment & well worth the money. Skin felt fantastic afterwards. I went for the Total Body Exfoliate which wasn't as relaxing as a facial or massage as you were moving about a lot & showering but my skin felt amazing afterwards. The smells were lovely too. Therapist was friendly & made you feel at ease. Would definitely go back again!!
I have been here on a few occasions for different treatments, the only positive thing I can say about this salon is the decor!! Apart from that the treatments I received were apalling. I had a hammam treatment, please ladies dont waste your money, you can do a better job on your own in your own bath. The therapist was a pure novice, my 6 year old daughter gives a better massage. The waxing nothing to write home about. The haircut and highlights ok but i was charged almost double the price that was quouted over the phone just for adding a dollop of cream to my hair and rough blow drying it, which I didnt ask for but the hairdresser was so pushy insisted on doing it so I assumed it was inclusive. NOT AT ALL . They really push their products on you. Also the threading was the most painful I've ever had. Overall the therapists dont appear to have had alot of experience but their prices do not reflect this. Hence not been back and dont intend to either.
I took my sister-in-law for a treat as she visiting with her teenage son and normally we do things for him so thought it would be a nice change to do something for her too. We had the aroma decadence package which included the mud ritual, body scrub, massage and body wrap. We also had use of the sauna, steam room and scented showers. Neither of us had been to a spa before so we didn't know what to expect. The staff were very friendly, and explained the process clearly. The spa was really nice and we felt very relaxed, which was needed after a day shopping on Oxford St! The treatments were all very good, we particularly enjoyed the mud ritual, and everything together left our skin feeling wonderfully soft and smooth. We felt well looked-after and extremely relaxed in the great atmosphere of the spa. All in all, we very much enjoyed our experience, it was great value, and I would definately do it again.
Getting an appointment was very difficult as you have to phone the therapist's mobile and despite leaving several messages she didn't call me back for a week. However when I arrived for my appointment the hotel was very nice, and Fiona and I had a nice chat during the treatment. She brought me a cup of tea afterwards and I sat and read a magazine which was a lovely way to relax after the treatment.
Lovely staff very clean and friendly atmosphere would definatly recommend the body polish my skin felt so smooth after and the therapist was lovely the body wrap was also very nice :)
Went to the May Fair Spa on my anniversary with my wife!! It was the first time we went to this particular venue, and I must tell you that I was not disappointed one bit. We started of by using all of the facilities (Aromatic steam room, Herbal sauna, Experience showers, Candlelit relaxation room) and then shown out treatment by a trained member of staff. We were left to do our treatment on our own in a wonderful chamber. The only improvement I would say would be to offer more snacks in the relaxation room, as these treatments to leave people peckish.
I bought a Chelsea Day Spa voucher to give myself a birthday present ;-) and I was very pleased with it! The place is very welcoming and relaxing. The exfoliation and following body massage were very nice and I do recommend this kind of pampering once in a while. I also got some recommendation to release the stress around my neck/back area due to daily use of a computer and same sitting position. I do them every day since then. The manicure was fun. The therapist was lovely and it was very nice to chat to her while she was making my hands look pretty and more lady-like. I had such a professional gloss finish on my nails that I didn't want to do any sort of house work for a while!!
My daughter and I had the moroccan mud spa and thoroughly enjoyed it. My skin is still smooth two weeks later. Would thoroughly recommend it for anyone looking to relax and improve skin texture.
lovely staff made you feel welcome and not uncomfortable at all, treatment did what i wanted and made my skin super soft! Relaxing atmosphere was close to sleep but before i knew it time was up! Beautifully decorated and clean! Recommend highly!
The beauty room was based downstairs and was quite dark and dingy. The room itself was unclean and in particular the floor was dirty. The sheet on the massage bed was unclean and i asked for this to be changed. The actual treatment was fine but not as vigorous as i would have liked. The therapist was lovely and made me feel at ease. Overall a so-so experience. The owner should keep the premises clean, tidy and hygienic.
My boyfriend and I experienced the "2 For 1 Moroccan Steam Cleansing Ritual at May Fair Spa" and it was relaxing and fantastic. The hotel is perfectly located and the staff was very helpful giving us all the information we needed for the treatment.
I was pleased with the overall experience although I have to say that the deal was advertised here as: Body Scrub, Facial and Aromatherapy Massage which in reality turn to be: Back, Neck and Shoulders Massage, Mini Facial (no blackheads removal) and Back Scrub. Massage was very relaxing and deep. The venue is very small but cosy. Staffs were very helpful. Great location. Although the deal description was misleading I will still recommend it for £28. It was a bargain.
I really enjoyed this SPA!
Facilities were amazing and therapists were very kind and professionals.
I went with two friends of mine and we had a really good time: we felt very relaxed and "beautifull"!!
I took my mum along to the Spa as a treat for her birthday but was a little dissapointed with the facilities.
The layout of the spa is over two floors and the changing areas are downstairs along with the mixed gym and the treatment rooms are upstairs with the lounges.
So you have to walk around in your robe in front of people who are going to the gym and generally using the facilities while your half naked trying to walk up stairs in your flip flops looking half dignified.
My mum also suffers from a disability when walking so it was hard work for her to keep going up and down the stairs in her robe! There was a stair lift but she wasnt about to jump on that looking even more embarassed.
The lounges were very pleasant although the cordial juice isnt labelled as cordial so myself, my mum and another lady in the room all drank neat cordial orange, then realised it was dilute juice and not fresh.
The facilites are small, they gym is tiny and the ceilings low. The spa has a small salt water pool and 3 person jacuzzi, steam and sauna. It is very basic but pleasant.
The changing facilities are small and it does get busy, you have to queue to use one of the 4 showers and one of the 2 or 3 hairdryers.
I can't fault the treatments. My therapist was really good, I had a back and shoulders massage and she was spot on. I also had a salt scrub and both were really good.
I wouldnt recommend the Brands hatch Spa for a relaxing day at a spa, i think its a bit like going to the gym and using those facilities.
It didnt have that nice isolating feel that some spa's have and the walking up and down stairs in your robe in front of the paying public wasnt ideal.
I loved it, and so did my friend. We will definately go back for another go at this! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!Thank you, thank you, thank you!Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The spa was very luxurious and they had many facilities. The staff were very welcoming and made sure you was happy. My therapist made me feel very comfortable and relaxed, i would recommend this place to anyone and go back myself!
The venue was very relaxing and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sarah the therapist was excellent and although I only had a mini facial it was one of the best I have ever had. Well done.
It was a real treat to relax in the hammam, be exfoliated by the professional therapists working there and finish up with a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant. I really hope to go again before too long!
I was really looking forward to this after visiting a hammam during a trip to Istanbul but at the same time was a little nervous that it might not live up to my expectations, especially as I was taking my mum along as a treat whilst she was visiting me in London for the weekend. We both work in the health and beauty industry, so our expectations are fairly high! In fact, I needn't have worried at all; we had excellent service throughout and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
We arrived rather early, feeling a bit worn out after a long day dashing around London and were made welcome by the reception staff with delicious Turkish tea provided as we waited and relaxed in the reception area. During this time, one of the friendly massage therapists came to chat to us and explain the services that were available if we wanted exfoliation, massage or a mask application during our session. The treatments were well explained and good advice provided without any pressure to buy. We opted for the full body exfoliation, carried out with a coarse mitt.
We changed in the area adjacent to the hammam, where we found a couple in the process of dressing following their session. Now, this was the only aspect of the session where I could suggest a small improvement; a unisex hammam is fine by me but a unisex changing room is perhaps taking things a bit too far! Also there were no keys available for the lockers, although our belongings were fine during our session.
We sat and steamed away peacefully for a while before two therapists wearing traditional Turkish towels arrived. They explained the procedure before carrying out a thorough exfoliation on our skin, rinsing us off with alternately warm and cool water and coating us with foam created by blowing up a pillowcase soaked in warm soapy water and squeezing the air through it. The male therapists were both very professional and carried out the treatment thoroughly and effectively but without making us feel at all uncomfortable.
After changing, we went to eat in the restaurant, which serves a variety of central Asian dishes. On a trip to Russia I had seen that Kazakh food is very popular there and wanted to try it but had not found a Kazakh restaurant there that served vegetarian food. Here there was no problem; pretty much each dish on the menu had a vegetarian equivalent. I had a salad starter, some delicious vegetable dumplings served with a tasty chilli dip and soured cream and crispy baklava to finish. Sitting on the raised ledge with cushions at a low table with delicious food was a perfect way to finish the evening, rather than dashing straight back out in the cold. They even had a singer performing as everyone ate.
Following the treatment I felt very relaxed and my skin was fantastically smooth for days afterwards. I need to get one of those mitts!
My husband and I had Natalie as our masseuse we enjoyed our body exfoliation and deep tissue massage treatments we had in the comfort of our own home. The set up was very quick and she was very professional, friendly and accommodating. Her technique was great and she quickly identified the problem areas and was great at relieving tension. We like the products she used too. Making an appointment was also easy and you get a response quickly. Would highly recommend Natalie and the Organic Treatment Company!
I cannot recommend this salon enough. First Class. Amanda is extremely professional and friendly. I have been visiting for over 6 months and had various treatments all of which have been excellent. Great ambience and unintimidating. Not only offers a great service but is extremely helpful and goes out of her way care for you. Since going to the clinic my skin has never looked better and people have often commented on how much better my skin looks and feels. Dermalogica is brilliant and I am a converted user. Thank you.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the place was neat and clean, not so sure about the actual lipocav treatment, despite the fact the staff claiming they can see the difference i really can't.
Overall still a good experience, i would recommend the place.
the place is really nothing to get impressed about. You have to walk downstairs through pretty shady hairdressers as Zeena is downstairs and even thou its clean the place needs a refurb. Zeena is very good and treatment was great value for money
Not only did I try the body exfoliating treatment, I thought the whole venue was really nice and to my taste! the people were very friendly and the changing rooms were clean as well as the atmosphere was relaxing.
When I arrived, I had to sit and wait in the hairdressers upstairs which was not very nice. The therapist came and got me after about 10 minutes and she couldn't have been nicer. I had a lovely pedicure plus an Elemis Lime & Ginger body scrub. The juice bar wasn't offered and I had to ask for a juice. I sat in the sauna for 5 minutes afterwards. Overall I liked it and would go back, mainly due to the therapist.
I went with a friend, we both had vouchers from lastminute.com for a chocolate massage. It was amazing! The setting is gorgeous, very girly with an antique/boudoir look. We were served tea and macaroons, very yummy, while we filled in a form about our massage preferences. We could choose the strength of the massage which was good. then we were taken to a lovely therapy room with two beds so we could have our massage at the same time. The massage was lovely and the staff friendly, would definitely recommend it!
was a great experience, definately recommend this treatment, was very relaxing and we enjoyed this v
very much. staff was very pleasant hope to go there again soon. nice and cean throughout worth everypenny u spend here
Staff were friendly and welcoming but the venue itself was small and cramped. Therapist was sweet enough but the treatments themselves were quite basic...the overall feel was that this was defininetly not a spa as the name suggests but more of a mix n' match catch all basic beauty salon..i couldnt relax as could hear other customers chatting away as they had their nails done and my therapist had to keep leaving the room to get hot water from a kettle ...the massage however that i got from teh therapist was spot one....would i go back? Probably not, but good value usually comes at a price...
Nice friendly staff, wasnt sure what to expect...two men came into turkish bath room wearing little robes & flipflops. They put lotions on us, washed & scrubbed us both, then put amud pack on while giving a little massage. We were then rinsed off & seated in the a private roomwhere we had fruit & tea! Altough we felt a little uncomfortable to begin, this was thoroughly relaxing & enjoyable experience. :-)
I was really looking forward to the spa day at the Purity Spa as I had been under enormous stress and was suffering from a really bad backache . However I didn't have great espectations as I have been left disappointed on previous occasionals by other spas and massage therapist. To my delight this spa experience was absolutely wonderful. My treatment included a back scrub, massage and facial. It was so relaxing, I feel in and out of sleep. My therapist took care of my needs and she was so polite, gentle and very attentive during and after treament. By the end of my treatment, I felt destressed and like a new woman. My backache totally disappeared. Afterwards I use the sauna and steam. This also added to my relaxation as the facility was cosy and clean, although I did feel that it was rather small and plain. Overall this was the best spa experience I have had in London and I have decided to take my mother there for Mother's day. Most importantly, as a result of the treatment, I felt totally calm and stress free for many days after; which deosn't usally happen. Lastly, the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. I totally recommended anyone to try it.
I had the Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Scrub at The Spa Lounge and everything was brilliant - the staff were great and welcoming and my therapist was excellent.
The only downside is that I was expecting a full body scrub - including my problem areas which are thighs, stomach - but the scrub only covered arms, lower legs and back.
However it was extremely relaxing and my skin felt great afterwards.
I don't think I would have paid the full price (as I would want the full body doing for this) but with a 50% off deal from Wahanda it was great.
Nice treatment, but shorter than advertised. 1 hr instead of 1 1.4 hrs. A little disappointing. Also, I understood it would be a full back massage (ie legs as well), but it was only the top half of my back.
I used a KGB deals voucher for a full body exfoliation treatment and back massage. I arrived early for the appointment. When it came to my treatment time , they were running late so I was a bit peeved until they apologised. The therapist was very gentle when applying the exfoliator so she was kind to my skin. The massage was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. The massage was the best I;ve ever had but I haven't had many. She said thank you very much at the end of the treatment session, which I liked because I like manners. I would definitely go again and pay full price for treatments. It was well worth it.
Arranging my appointment at Glamour House was painful as the receptionist didn’t have any knowledge of the treatments offered so were not able to offer simple advice about the treatments, this was made even more disappointing when after having phoned to confirm my booking in advance twice, on arrival I was told I was booked in for something completely different!
The Therapists were very accommodating and managed to shuffle so that i could have the scrub and massage as planned, both treatments were spot on and very enjoyable. Elemis products were used and were delicious. My only gripe was that the towels were a bit old looking and not in plentiful supply. I like nice fresh white towels and for the massage table to have clean towels put down too. Would go back on a deal though.
The Clarins Skin Spa Upper East Side staff was very professional and helpful in looking for the best beauty product for my skin. The setting of the store was clean and ordered nicely. I would use Clarins products in the future as my go-to product for clear skin.
I took my daughter as a 30th birthday treat and we had Stephanie to ourselves for the whole day from 10 - 5. We had alternate treatments and Stephanie provided us with robes, slippers, glossy magazines, drinks, lunch and a birthday cake. The whole experience was fabulous, especially as we had spent the entire previous day shopping and we both ached all over. My daughter and I can definitely recommend Tranquil Moments in Leeds and all the treatments offered by Stephanie who was friendly and very professional.
A lovely clean salon right outside Chancery lane station. Had a Sauna and glass of apple juice first and then lovely therapist Vedia gave me a good scrub and very nice massage with Elemis products, great value with the voucher. I would definitely recommend
The hotel really needs to update the 'spa' facilities.
No hot tub, mould in areas, cold pool etc. I also found the treatments and little squeezed in together.
The restaurant had lovely food but service is very slow and they gave me the wrong order.
Good hotel but needs a little TLC in the pool area. Gym was well equiped though.
i found the clarins lip rehab event not to be missed. the staff was friendly and very helpful. it was great to meet the staff of wahanda and the wine selection was delicious, if you missed the event you missed a great lip treatment and a great gift.
Very dis-organised. My treatment started 20 minutes late, so ended up 20 minutes shorter than it should have been. After waiting 15 mins I did get a drink of water. The therapist was very good though.
i love it I love it I love it, Bliss Doha is place to be, hot spot in Doha. Everything since we arrived till we left was a dream day. Liliana you made it happen your team is great and atmosphere is like "I feel that I belong there" Wow when I voted for "the best world spa" at the Bliss reception for them I was just honest - I love you Bliss and I understand why everyone is talking about you guys
We wish you will win as you are the best
Vid and Dora
I love this place...have been going there for many years (the late 80's). I love the Koren ethic and though more and more now it seems to be more westernized!!
I know the therapist to ask for and the ones that suit me and I have not been disappointed!
It's always nice to go there and treat myself to deep quite in the "cave" and come out peaceful!
Hi just had the body exfoliation and oil massage at my flat in Cricklewood and it was an excellent experience.
Therapist Sam was on time, polite and freindly and provided a very very relaxing and quality treatment that left me feeling totally chilled out!
Thank you OTC and hope to repeat this wonderful experience very soon :)
Lovely spa in a a discretely located hotel. Very nice and attentive staff. Beautiful facilities. I had a facial and the Morrocan cleansing ritual, both were amazing and the cleaning ritual was extremely fun. Very relaxing atmosphere, would definitely go again... And again!
My husband bought me a body exfoliation and aromatherapy massage from the organic treatment company to be done at home. The experience lasted two hours and was FANTASTIC! I have two kids under two who were at home at the time but, the therapist, Sam, was both professional and very well equipped. The products used were GREAT and the massage was AMAZING! Can't wait for the next one and would recommend this to anyone... kids or no kids!
I visited the Spa at Henley for our wedding anniversary. We were promptly received and shown the facilities. The first thing that struck me was that it was so quiet, clean and peaceful.
We had our Rasul treatment right towards the end of the day and finished off in the jacuzzi.
I slept like a log that night and suffice to stay, my skin is still feeling supersoft even after a week...now that's something! - highly recommended.
I can't praise this facility enough. The spa was fab and second to none (very clean). The rooms were lovely and just what you would expect at a country house hotel. Comfortable lounge with roaring fire with fruit, papers and water. Very relaxing. Staff were great too. Very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. The treatment was a bit disappointing but spa facilities made up for that. The grounds are beautiful so lots of walking (bikes also available) really tranquil. Can't wait to go back.
This spa was a lovely experience. We went for a 3-hour stay with a Rasul mud treatment for two, and we both thorouhly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming and professional, as are the staff, and everything is caefully explained to you so that you get the best out of your stay. The facilities at the spa were lovely, with a very relaxing ambience. I particularly liked the aromatherapy room as the scent used was gorgeous, and the jets in the whirlpool spa give a fantastic massage. The Rasul mud treatment was great fun and a new experience for my husband, who was sceptical at first but then thoroughly enjoyed it. The relaxation room is light and spacious and the loungers are so comfy. Changing rooms are well equipped with good size lockers. The spa was very quiet as we went on a week day, making this an even more relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone, and if another offer comes up, I'll be one of the first to buy it.
Wonderful experience in the comfort of my own home. Kind thoughtful therapist with magic hands. I felt as though I had just been given a new body 20 years younger!
my treatment was the full body exfoliation and massage, at home. it was probably one of the most relaxing treatments i have ever had, the thrapist was very good! the best thing was that at the end of the treatment I am already home. The massage was excellent, and the therapist concentrated on my knots. However, everytime i have had a full body message it has included a head/scalp massage but this was not included. other than this , i would say this is a fantastic treatment!
What a hidden gem, My girlfriend recommended Ushvani to me when she read about voer the Xmas break.
It is so rare to find such an beautiful space with authentic Asian massages in London, I lived in Bali for years and Ushvani is the best spa that I have found since coming home. The therapist I had was incredible and my friend agreed that she had one of the best massages that shes ever had.
This was exactly what I needed after a hectic festive season and I can't wait to go back.
My advice is GO you wont regret it!
Desperatley Seeking Spa
My wife and I booked the full body exfoliation and massage at our house and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Our therapist Natalie was amazing and put both my wife and I in the most relaxing mood as she worked out all of our knots! We really enjoyed the fact that Natalie came to our house which made the experience that much more relaxing. We'll definitely be booking again soon!
My husband and I booked the full body exfoliation and massage and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! I of course rate the ambience as tip top - it was in our own home, so to be able to light the candles, have the music of our choice and then to just relax afterwards without having to get dressed jump on the tube and make it home was perfect. Natalie, our therapist, was excellent - very professional and prepared. We will definitely use their services again!
i would not recommend this to other people but i dont think it was a bad day.
it became a bit boring and we just wanted to leave after we had our treatment straight away and the fire and ice thermal experience was not as i thought.
there was a little bowl of ice then a sauna and steam room - it was not an experience - it was just what it was.
The hotel is within a very short distance from the Hyde Park Corner tube station, and the spa area facilities are stunning. Upon arrival we were greeted by a receptionist and offered soft drinks which came with lovely fruit kebabs. After the drinks we were shown our private treatment room and the lady gave us a little lecture on the use of facilities. The treatment itself was very relaxing and given the quality of towels, bathrobes, Elemis cosmetics and two large glasses of champaign after the treatment, it was a fantastic experience. The only minor disappointment is that we were given one small pot of treatment mud for two, it would be nice if there was more of that stuff on offer!
Had a very relaxing time with mom and sisters. Had treatment in the afternoon, it made skin feel really smooth and soft. Got two more vists book, one with family and another with a friend, really looking forward to yet another relaxing day out.
on a gloomy, rainy Saturday morning i made my way for my bodyscrub and Swedish massage at Zeena's. Public transport made the journey feel so draining so the massage was the best thing i needed.
i really enjoyed the treatment i had at Zeena's. she was very professional and friendly which made the experience even better. my skin felt so soft after the scrub and the massage was very relaxing that i could have walked out the completely naked...(thank God I didn't as it was still raining when I finished). Definitely one to reccomend
The staff were really attentive and the facilities were amazing, as much free tea/coffee and juice as you wanted. The facilities were great, had two large rooms all to ourselves. Could change the heat/music/and temperature, also had a relaxation room attached. Overall had alovely afternoon.
I was expecting to to wrapped like a mummy!!! No just a plastic sheet and towels over the top and left to sweat.......the body salt scrub had to be wiped off with mittens as much as possible by the therapist as there was no shower in the treatment room. Very disappointed with the facilities and would not recommend this treatment (not at the Dove Spa Streatham anyway)! The facial was OK!
The ambience was spot on.Also the facilities was truly amassing. I'v found the therapist very help full.
As well as the best Deep Tissue Massage, which i paid on top of my treatment.
So this venue is on High Holburn where the street numbers go up on ine side of the street but down on the other - confusing! However the salon is actually right outside one of the tube exits at Chancery Lane although I forget which one - sorry!
The male receptionist was a little abrupt so first impressions weren't great but then I met my therapist who was outstanding. I didn't get her name but she was petite and Spanish looking and sounding. I had booked in for the Elemis salt scrub and express pedi but there was confusion as they had me down for a hand treatment instead of teh scrub but the therapist took this in her stride and sorted it out so we could move to another room as a shower is required for this treatment.
The treatment is great as a very vigorous exfoliation which is perfect if you plan to fake tan or have a special event. The therapist was chatty and engaging and I felt like I was chatting to an old friend. The pedi was good too and impressive for an express treatment as it included cuticle work.
The spa itself is lovely downstairs - lots of lovely brands used - Elemis and OPI. There is a coffe bar and a sauna although my treatments did not include this and the vibe was relaxed.
Would definitely go back!
I bought the voucher as a present to a young couple and got very good feedback. My friends said that the spa was lovely and they enoyed their treatments, which helped them to relax. It was definetly a good deal and worth the money.
Bought this for my mum and myself to go for a girly day out. Extremely easy to find if you catch the train to Manchester airport it is sign posted nearly as soon as you step off the train. We were having our treatments in the afternoon and were told we could go at any time and use the spa facilities - which we did and thoroughly enjoyed, the pool and saunas were very quiet. After we had lunch (not included but we ate in one of the hotels own restaurants) we went back to the spa and recieved a very soft black, fluffy dressing gown each to use, we had a glass of sparkling wine by the pool (included) then had our pomegranate body scrub. There were two treatment rooms, dimmed lighting and tealights dotted around to add to the experience. The pomegranate scrub smelt absolutely gorgeous, after a shower we then had our indian head massage which includes a back massage so we were laid down, it was fantastic and totally unexpected to recieve the back massage as well (I don't think many places include this if you have the indian head massage but having never had one before I might be wrong) because of the oils used our therapists knew we would be thirsy, they gave us a glass of water and a couple of minutes to relax and said we could sit by the pool again and use all the facilities again if we wanted. Very, very nice day out and would definatley recommend both treatments that we had.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff made this a really fun and relaxing experience. I went as part of a group of four and we entered the Hammam together and the therapists ensured everyone was attended to. Would recommend this for anyone fancying a pampering treat.
The therapist made this spa experience delightful. Friendly, professional and a fountain of knowledge!
The spa is in the same building as a gym and on arrival there was no receptionist so I was kept waiting, but apart from this my experience was good. Some facilities do need updating e.g the shower and the relaxing music was a little loud!
My treatments were fab and my facial was the best ever leaving my skin glowing. Don't expect opulence and be patient trying to get through on the phone to book your appointment.
chessgrove is set in a lovely rural location, had a body treatment which was lovely , thanks natalie !
had a lovely relaxing day , a few things though like the swimming pool being closed at certain times during the day for children,s lesson,s and a guy coming in the thermal suite to do maintenance work while we were trying to relax in there put a bit of a damper on the day especially as being a smaller spa there was no way else to go !
staff were lovely and for a afternoon chill out its great
I love this spa! I wish I still lived in the area. This was my favorite spa in the lee county area. Iris and Darcey are amazing massage therapist.
This was a really good salt body scrub! The therapist was very firendly, professional and welcoming.
The salon itself is fien but somewhat cramped and the shower not working properly. However it was very good value so I'm not complaining!
I had a salt scrub and hot oil treatment. Overall It was very relaxing experience and the light massage afterwards was very soothing as well. I really appreciate, Fiona (the therapist)'s time!
The body scrub was not that great. It was not done strongly enough. The therapist put paper on the massage bed. After the scrub it was sticking to my skin, that was very unpleasant. It should have been removed after the scrub so I could enjoy my massage! The massage itself was fantastic!
The Spa was very difficult to find, hence we were a few minutes late. The ladies in the spa were really nice, things like relaxing music or a nice spa athmospehere were missing though. Overall a good experience for the price.
I have aleady told my friends about this treatment and will be booking more. I am training to be a therapist and have experienced many massages - both here and abroad. I felt fantastic afterward and my only gripe is that one hour seemed over too soon!
It was great to step away from the busy streets of London into this Oasis. The views from the relaxing room were lovely and the ambience was perfect. It was so so tranquill. I would definatley recommend this couples treatment and venue to friends.
The location is great right near Sloane Sq. A gentle reminder text is a bonus and the staffs are very friendly professional and helpful. The beauty threapist was very very good and the massage was fantastic and I nearly felt asleep. Very relaxing and good value. Highly recommended!!!
Overall good treatments only marred by the fact that they got my booking incorrect so had to set up another room which took time. Also some sort of slippers would have been welcomed coming out of the shower.
I went with my friend, and thought it was a really good deal, and would definately go back if there was another deal. Both me and my friend thought the therapists were really good.
I had terrible problems getting through on the phone to make an appointment. Every time I phoned I was just put on hold for ages so I hung up. I ended up booking online but the system is not very good, once you have booked an appointment you cannot go into it and amend or cancel it, and you cannot get through on the phone... However once I was there I really enjoyed my treatment. The therapist was lovely and she used Elemis and OPI products which in my opinion are the best on the market. I would definitely go back - if I am able to make an appointment!
We had a very relaxing time and used the gym and attended some classes as well as swimming and using the steam room and jacuzzi. We had lunch in the Amber lounge which is for Spa guests only and relaxed in another very quiet lounge. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. In fact we enjoyed it so much I have booked to take a friend as a Birthday celebration.
the spa is very boutique ish ,really lovely and quaint, throughly had a nice time, staff were really good and friendly. I would go there again and would recommend to others, the spa also has special offers on their site so you can always get a good deal.
I had 2 treatments (£22 Wahanda deal), 30 min facial and a 30 min body scrub.
The spa was very easy to find, right outside the station. The staff were very friendly, Jade did my treatments, Jade was great, she was very professional, made me feel welcome and relaxed, I was offered a drink from the juice bar in between treatment's.
I had the lime and ginger body scrub, which left my skin felling very soft and silky, was able to shower afterwards, then had a facial, all the products used were Elemis, which are very good high quality products.
After my treatment's I was offered the use of the sauna, which was a nice surprise.I was able to relax in the juice bar afterwards with a lovely hot chocolate, what more could you want!.
This spa meet all my expectations. I was so impressed I booked my friend in for the same treatments as a treat, she also thought it was great. I would highly recommend this spa.
Galmour House was really easy to find and the staff were really friendly. I was not kept waiting long and the facilites were really good. My beauty therapist Vedia was the best I have come across, she was extremlely good at the treatments and really friendly. I was so impressed I have booked again to go back!
We were running late for our appointments, but the staff were friendly and welcoming as we entered the spa facilities.Whilst filling out forms we were presented with macaroons and tea..yum!
We had chocolate back body treatments (divine) followed by a scrub and massage. The rooms were lovely and the music relaxing. The therapist was softly spoken and informative of the products and technique she used. I cannot wait to go again!
Was very impressed by the clean and welcoming facilities.
Was introduced to my therapist who came across very knowledgable when discussing my expectations of the treatment.
The ambience of the treatment room was very calming.
The treatment was very relaxing.
Once complete the therapist discussed products suitable for my skin type which was very helpful.
All my expectations were met of the venue, treatment and therapist and I would book the same treatment again!
I'm a frequent visitor of Portofino, simply because it's hands down one of the best airbrush spray tans available in Los Angeles. I've lived in LA ten years and have yet to find another salon that tops Portofino in quality, customer service, and atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the facilities are spotless! I'm a huge fan of their body exfoliating scrubs which I seriously recommend for a much longer lasting spray tan. The scrub is relaxing, done in a private room with mellow music and dim lighting. The technicians are respectful and quiet but can be conversational if you're in the mood. I'm not one for buying additional salon products, but I have to say, no joke, buy the tanning extender lotion, it works! Portofino also offers a rare "custom" spray skin tone and fragrance option that is kept on file so they may duplicate or modify your color from visit to visit. The ability to customize your color and fragrance eliminates a common spray tan issue: looking orange and smelling like nasty chemicals! I tend to favor the "vanilla bean" scent and love the "diva" shimmer/sheen.
Of note: The place also offers a killer women's boutique featuring unique jewelry and clothing... you can do a lot of damage in under an hour if you're not careful! Bottom line ladies (or men) I've yet to have a bad experience at Portofino Beverly Hills!
I booked an Oriental body scrub with Swedish massage. The venue was a bit difficult to find as it is inside a hairdresser's salon. However the warm greeting from my therapist Zeena and the pleasant ambience of the therapy room where I had my treatment made up for my frustrating trip. Zeena explained my treatment very thoroughly and ensured I was relaxed and comfortable throughout. I was only a little disappointed that I did not have the swedish massage but aromatherapy massage with my Oriental body scrub, however, could not complain as the treatments were extremely good value for money. On the whole it was a wonderful experience and I will certainly go back to try the swedish massage.
The staff were very friendly and the therapist was professional although the facilities and ambience wasn't as good as it could have been. For the price though it's definitely worth it!
My experience at the Imagine Spa was mixed.
The negatives: I was told that I did not need to decide which two treatments I wanted in advance and could instead specify on the day. On doing so I went in and requested the hot stone massage but was told that I could not have this as they had used all the stones for the day and the stones could not be heated on time for my treatment... not the best start! I was also told that the spa shower was not working (and had been out of order for some time) and so I would need to walk out of the treatment room through to showers in the ladies changing room (the spa is situated in the basement of LA Fitness Gym) in order to have a shower post-exfoliation which did somewhat detract from the treatment...
The positives:
The staff were very friendly and professional. The body exfoliation was great and very thorough and the massage was great. The therapist made a real effort and the massage was firm whilst at the same time relaxing.
Definitely good value for money, just a shame the ambience is lacking due to being located within a gym.
very good value, would go there again. Easy to find central location - perfect to fit in a little me time straight from work. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Felt treatment was a bit rushed for 30 minute slot, but overall good value
I returned to the Chelsea Day spa and really enjoyed the experience as I did the first time. The staff were very professional and the therapist was wonderful. I would definitely go again and would recommend it to others. The location is conveniently located on the Kings Road in chelsea so you can have a real pamper day with shopping and lunch!
I booked this spa deal as a little treat from between Christmas and New Year and it was very good value for money. I only paid £20 per person, and the treatment alone should have been £75 for two let alone the access to the spa facilities so I cant really complain. However if I had paid full price I would not have been impressesd at all. The Jacuzzi did not work, the gym was very modern, but very small. The pool was nice but there were only 2 loungers around the pool, which when you go for a spa day and want to loung around, is not very good. Then there was the relax room. This again would have been a nice feature if the staff memebers did not come in every 10 minutes with people that they were showing around the spa facilities. It was a bit like being in a zoo and people kept coming and looking at you every so often. This is a nice spa if you are sytaying at the hotel and going for one treatment, it is not really the place for a full spa day as it is just not big enough or peacful enough.
I was a little concerned when i arrived and saw all of the tanning booths but my therapist Laura was really nice and put me at ease as soon as I sat down. I had a full body exfoliation and facial.
I was slightly nervous about getting almost everything out for the body exfoliation (even after years of treatments) but the therapist put me at ease straight away and we ended up having a good old gossip.
The treatment rooms are a little tired (and mine was quite cold) but the treatment itself was great and i came away feeling in perfect condition for my up coming holiday!
Shirin was my therapist for the day. I have to say how lovely and professional she was. I went on my own and she made me feel very confident and relaxed. She explained in detail about the treatment, and ensured i was happy throughout the time i was there. The spa was so relaxed clean and the ambience was lovely. I had a great relaxing day. The Moroccan steam cleansing was fantastic. I have already told my friends and i will be back.
I have two 30mins treatments: Facials and body exfoliation. The therapist was lovely, the treatments really nice and relaxing. After that my skin was softer and I felt good. This spa is at the basement of the LA Fitness gym, but that was not a problem at all.
The whole treatment lasted only 45min. I was on time to be there at 2pm, waited 15 min, then treatment finished before 3pm. When I got dressed and checked my watch, I was very disappointed that it lasted less than what I paid for.
The spa is in the basement of LA Fitness suite and I could hear people passing by. The treatment room (I was in Treatment Room 3) was tiny and the shower drainage (I had shower after exfoliation) was half blocked.
There are better salons in London and I would not go to Imagine Spa South Kensington again.
Myself and my partner booked the rasul earlier this year, we had an absolutely fantastic time, the setting had a very morrocan feel, it was very relaxing - although it wasn't the best venue for a spa, the treatment we had was perfect. The staff probably need to have more training in customer service and how to treat guests attentively, but I think this is down to management to ensure their staff are giving a good service, as this could make a big impact on clients wanting to return again, the venue is not really the "dream location", so I don't think it would be a reason for customer to return, therefore I feel they need to give exceptional service to make up for the lack in venue. I wouldn't say the staff were rude, they were very pleasant, but were more interested in chatting about their personal life than paying attention to customers. I would return again, but only to use the rasul as we were left to it which suited us for this treatment and we really enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't choose any other treatments as I don't think the staff would give 100% commitment.
We weren't sure what to expect and we were very pleased with what we got. The Pasha is a tranquil oasis on a very busy inner city street. The therapists were excellent, I wasn't keen on being treated by a man and I hadn't thought about that when I booked it, but they were very polite and professional and I was soon at ease. They were both advocates of natural products and they use some Baldwins products (a Walworth institution that produces wonderful chemical free products). It was quite an authentic experience as the building was spotless and the decor made me feel I was in Turkey with the marble and laminate flooring.
Onto the treatment, we were left for half an hour to steam and relax and put "black soap" onto our bodies. They then scrubbed us and then covered our bodies in soft soap bubbles made using a cloth bag and then they massaged us as we sat in the Hamam on a marble bench (definitely bring swim wear, bikinis for women so they can soap your midriff). We came out feeling clean and relaxed and we would have definitely ended up having a meal at their wonderful looking restaurant but we had to collect our son before his bed time.
I highly recommend having a go!
The therapist I had was brilliant. She made the whole experience very relaxing. The package was the enlighten body detox and it was great value for money. I will definitely go again.
Pretty good overall as a package. Scrub was nice - not used Dove professional before but it was pretty good. Not as luxurious as some other stuff on the market but skin felt nice afterwards. After a scrub you get wrapped up in tinfoil blankets and get a mini facial and scalp massage - this was nice and really relaxing. Then head for the shower to wash off the scrub and therapist puts final oil on you. The scrub was nice - heated up as it went on. As a package it's pretty good value and the therapist Holly was really nice. Spa area was clean and fairly standard as spa facilities go. Room was a bit cold after the shower but it was subzero outside to this could have contributed.
Overall, I'd recommend as a mini-treat but if you want out and out luxury then you'd need to look at alternatives I think. But definitely value and worth considering. Not totally convinced on Dove professional range though but this is a personal preference.
Myself and two friends had a fantastic day at the Harbour Club, the facilities are wonderful, there are a range of steam rooms and pool and overall the experience was relaxing and a perfect day.
I booked the 2 for 1 offer through Wahanda, and took my friend. I was a little anxious about the treatment particularly as my friend has been to Thailand and experienced an authentic Thai massage. She has happy memories of her time in Thailand and I had hoped this treatment would bring that moment back to her. We had a Thai Herbal Body Scrub and massage that lasted an hour.
Staff are extremely polite and considerate. The place is small but the service and treatment is by no means inferior. The scrub itself was divine and the massage was truly amazing. I'd never been massaged so thoroughly and felt all my knots unwind. After I felt so relieved and relaxed. This was by far the best massage I've had and my friend left blissfully content too.
I visited the spa with my boyfirend. We did not want to spend the whole day at a spa just just wanted to received luxury spa treamtnets. We where advised to go to le petit spa as it aparantly offered just that.
I have to say we where not dissapointed, We where greeted by a lady called joanne, who i think was the lady who made our bookings for us. I felf like i had know joanne for years, she was funny, reassuring but yet very professional.
Due to use not having a spa day, we were not permitted to use the facailites, but we where told on booking, if we wanted to do that we could have paid extra. When we arrived at the spa myself and my partner both said we had wished we did pay the extra.
The spa was beautiful, the minute you walked in you could smell the aromatherapy, it was dimmly lit with candles guiding the way. you felt relaxed as soon as you entered .
my other half even mentioned how nice it was, and it takes alot for him to be impressed.
Due to the day spa relaxation room being free, joanne kindly let us wait in their for our treatments. The therapsit who did our treatments, where calming and very professinal, my therapsit even picked up on my back and disc problems by asking all of the right treamtnets (usualy therapsits just go by whats on the card you fill out). we went for the lime and giner scrub followed by a massage.
The treatments rooms where also great, the bed seemed wider then other beauty beds and was heated, and again the room dimmly lit with candles.
My treatment started with me do some breathing techniques and then a warm oil was applied to my body before the actual scrub was applied, after my scrub i then had a back massage, which i have to say is the best i have ever had in a hotel spa, usually they are very light and airy fairy, not this one. This one was firm and she knew exactly where to apply pressure. After the treatment , we where placed back in a quiet area of reception and given some water . we where able to stay in reception for as long as we wanted, at this point again we wished we had booked the day spa , but we just both felt great.
I would definatly recommend this spa, but to save dissapointment and to completly relax, book the use of the spa or an actual spa day.............
OK so on arrival after a long train journey we arrived at the hotel before check in time, which as far as I knew we would have to normally wait until 2pm to check in but they found us a room promptly and all seemed well. Because I had this one night £99 deal I thought it would be good to pay extra for another nights stay so paid this in advance as we were checking in.
After finding the some what dodgy lift we reached our room and was very pleased with it, very clean and smelt fresh too. (the bathroom/shower) was also very nice. After unpacking and removing some layers of clothing the room was not heated adequetly but again was easily sorted by the friendly receptionist who gave us plug in heaters.
The restaurant in the hotel was quite chilly aswell and once we sat to order we waited for 15mins to be offered drinks and our orders taken anyways the food was amazing and well worth the wait, Plus they serve the best apple crumble ever!!!!
When having our spa treatments the 'spa' wasnt attractive and the lady who works as either the receptionist or hairdresser wasnt very friendly or proffesional she couldnt tell us exactly when our treatments were booked for even though I had phoned to confirm before arriving. My treatment was good I had a therapist called Sarah she was very good and kept me informed of what she was doing. My partner had a therapist but she didnt introduce herself and he said she didnt talk at all to let him know where or what he needed to do if having a first treatment the therapist should be confident and have people skills which was clearly lacking.
A bit of a disappointing end to our stay at the time of paying for extra treatments the same therapist was busy and there was no one else to take payment so ended up having to wait for nearly 30mins which meant we then missed the first available cab to take us back to the train station and then missed our train back to london and had to pay extra money to get back plus at reception when checking out they said they still needed to take payment from my card for the extra night stay, but I was confused because I had already paid this on checking in. We had already overheard another customer complaining that they had been charged double for their stay so was a bit cautious as to why they needed my card again, I was then told that the first payment was a preliminary proceedure, so to not make a scene I just handed my card over.
Once we returned to london I checked with my bank and I was charged twice for the extra night so then called the hotel which then tried to reassure me that its not the case but said thay would look into it, which they did and called me back to say it would be refunded which it has been now but should not have happend in the first place. (no apology was made).
All in all me and my boyfriend had a good stay but they definately need to improve on customer services in the 'spa' and make double sure in the hotel reception that customers are not double charged.
I went there with my boyfriend. I opted for body exfoliation (first in my life) and hot stone massage (first as well). I normally don't like the combination of gym and spa as you can never relax there 100% (the noise of energetic music etc.), it was absolutely transformed once the of treatment room was closed behind my back. I had a wonderful therapist (unfortunately I don't remember her name now) and the whole experience was a pure treat! I would recommend it to anyone.
The place is quite convenient. I went first for a skin analysis and then microdermabrasion. I was not sure on what to expect as one treatment was not supposed to be dramatically different. The therapist was friendly and explained the process. The treatment was not painful. I am not so sure of the outcome as I can't see any difference. Overall not a bad experience.
Whilst I did enjoy the day very much the two treatments I had were fab, and the lunch we had was lovely.
And the place we eat in was nice and relaxing , I felt that the fact that I had to get changed back in to my clothes to eat, spoiled it for me because it was like I had to relax all over again when I went downstairs to change again, back into my swimsuit and gown.
Also it took over a hour and half each to get there and back , there were not enough leisure areas to relax in between using all the facilites, There were not enough water facilities in the Sauna area , we had to ask the staff to check the aroma room it just did not smell quite strong , however the staff did sort it out but we had to ask them, I am not sure how often they check it. Also parts of the building were very cold but i was very clean. But because of the length of the journey I would not visit again. It was a shame that all these thing happend on my experience because I do love going to spa's

Went there before my friends wedding. Had a mud exfoliating treatment and whilst there had few minutes in sunbed. Sunbeds were really nice, not the brand new ones, but very clean. Staff was so-so, friendly, but i wouldn't go there again for service. The downstairs was very small, the treatment room was quite old. The treatment was nice and did leave my skin very soft, but i didn't feel "pampered". Maybe if i was paying full price it might have been different, otherwise i wouldn't be overly impressed!
Overall so-so, not bad, but wouldn't go there again..
My ultimate Turkish Bath Treatment experience has been eventually on our most famous Bath in Istanbul. Like many people in my ow culture. This has been a life changing experience. Not the scrub like a mum would do to her child but the relaxation and lift you get to your body is the unforgettable experience. You feel taller, cleaner, lighter and brigher...
Treatments were fantastic - the therapists were both lovely. I had a full body exfoliation, followed by a full body massage and facial (extra). We were very well attended to and offered drinks at the poolside and the day was nice and relaxing - it was one of the quieter spas, which I favour (no hen parties).
This would be more of a spa to go to for treatments and pampering - there's a pool, steam and sauna with relax loungers by the poolside. We ate lunch in the hotel bar, which was also fabulous and good value for money.
My day was excellent. I spent about 5 hours there altogether, As well as the treatment the other facilities ie. sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were great too. I felt really relaxed at the end. I highly recommend it.
My Hubby & I felt completely relaxed as we thoroughly enjoyed our treatments. It was great that we were squeezed in last minute but sadly it meant we could not book additional treatments but those we had were perfect.
Yet to see it as took horribly long to make a booking - for some reason customers coming through Wahanda are of 'lower priority'. Other than that the place looks fine so will follow up with a broader comment afterwards.
Whilst the Imagine Spa is within a busy LA Fitness Club, don't let this put you off.
They have a wide range of treatments to chose from and look after you well. The rooms are small, but cosy and well soundproofed. I was really pleased with the two treatments I had and left feeling relaxed and wanting to come back again!
Initial impression when entering the Beauty Lounge is that it's quite small and not particularly impressive. Reception staff not particularly helpful or knowledgeable (the guy behind the desk when we arrived continued a personal phone call until we decided to find our own way to the changing rooms). The pool area is small with nowhere near enough loungers and could do with a jacuzzi.
So at first we were underwhelmed to say the least. But then we were bought a glass of sparkling wine and bowl of strawberries by a lovely lady beautician and things picked up. We both had really nice treatments and the beauty staff were friendly and informative and made us feeling very pampered.
For the deal we got it was definitely worth going. However, don't go here expecting a spa day, there just aren't the facilities and apart from the treatment rooms there is not enough there to keep you for more than about an hour.
The Wahanda deal for microdermabrasion was great value for money. I thought the treatment was great & the therapist was very informative. I was very happy with the results. They are offering a £99 deal for 3 treatments which I will definitely be taking up!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, such a gorgeous place with exellent facilities & polite staff who wait on your every need.
I booked the Moroccan Steam Cleansing Ritual as an anniversay gift for me and my boyfriend, through last minute.com. The location is very easy for anyone to find and truly captures the wonderful landscape of the river thames and canary wharf. Being informed that the whole process would take 2 . 5 hours, we actually spent 4 hours there and the staff were shocked to see us leave so soon!
We were allowed to arrive an hour early to take full advantae of the gym, sauna, relaxation room (which is absolutley great for relaxing- heated stone sun loungers overlooking the river thames with the O2 arena right opposite) and went back to use thiese after the ritual was finished!
I have booked another Moroccan Cleansing treatment and will also be joining the gym there too as it's only £50.00 a month for a couple!
Great stylish place, even the changing rooms were great decor and very clean, they even provide you with slippers and a robe.
You have to try this place out!!!!!!!
Staff made you feel welcome and were chatty, therapist was nice but needed a bit more on making you feel comfortable and being professional. I was lying starkers on the bed while the door was opened and she popped out for towels - luckily no one passed by in the corrdidor but felt very uncomfortable. The salt scrub was a huge let down and I could have done it at home - was painted with a watery solution of salt and then sent off to the shower (having to climb over things to get in there) - there was no actual scrubbing with the salt - I had to do that myself in the shower and was rushed along. Facial was a let down and felt it was slightly half heartedly done.
Visited at the start of the year with the other half, would definitely recommend as a place to relax and be pampered.
This was a really enjoyable experience. I felt totally relaxed from the moment I arrived in the Beauty Lounge. Great ambience and very attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed being pampered and having the benefit of the therapist's advice. The team obviously enjoy their work and take pride in what they do which creates a real "feel good factor" in the salon. I will definitely go back for more pampering to this little gem.

I had a Body Exfoliation treatment and a facial which were both nice and relaxing. After having those treatments done I just wanted to go home and sleep.
My therapist Melina was very nice and friendly.
Given the choice of two treatments I went for the body exfoliation followed by an aromatherapy massage. The list of treatments is good, with loads of different option to choose from. The room was nicely decorted with subtle light and relaxing music, the ideal setting for a relaxing experience however the therapist was a bit on the chatty side which in a way it spoilt the relaxing experience of having the treatments. But the treatments were good enough to rate the experience as a pleasant one.
Good convenient location, easy to find - specilised in tanning & may ahve been better for that. Facilities ok, but not much ambience. Also, the therapist rushed my treatment - I had booked 2 treatments & was 10 minutes late, but still had 45 minutes & in the end only did the exfoliation - shower was difficult to control the temperature & got a bit burnt. Cheap at £10 - but have been to a lot better places.
The salon is small, located in a hotel. The atmosphere in the treatment room was good. The therapist was very friendly and made me feel relaxed. Had a chocolate therapy treatment which consisted of a chocolate facial, massage and exfoliation, smelt good and treatment was well worth it!
The treatments were spot on and the therapist made it worthwhile, she made you feel relaxed and at ease instantly.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, the only down side of the place is you can hear everyone that passes your door. Obviously it is a good sign the place is busy but I wish the room had thicker walls and door.
Not quite on my 'stomping ground', The Stables Spa is part of the rather grand Harte and Garter Hotel, over-looking Windsor Castle in Berkshire. All I can say it was well worth the trip out of London, and the treatments I received were truely fit for a Queen (if indeed she ever felt she needed one)
Tucked away off the main shopping street, the spa appears to be very small but it is in no way uncomfortable or cramped, although I did go on a weekday afternoon and I can assume on a weekend, it would probably get quite busy.
The facilities are brilliant - a Finnish sauna and a steam room which have been tastefully decorated with lights in the ceiling and a giant whirlpool, which is more than impressive - and puts any normal hot tub or jacuzzi in the shade. They also have a rasul mud chamber which I did not use but again looked like it could be a lot of fun! Add on to this a relaxation room with vibrating 'pods' and fresh fruit on your arrival and it was obvious that a lot of careful thought had been put into creating this 'boutique' spa.
The staff are fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and everything ran smoothly, and most importantly we didn't feel rushed, everything was conducted at 'our pace'; something you don't see to often in the London spas.
I had a massage, body scrub & facial and all three were outstanding. My therapist used top-quality products (Elemis) and explained what she was doing prior to each of the different treatments. My massage was second-to-none - possibly the best i've ever had, she acknowledged I had very knotted shoulders and took her time to work on it - I have never felt so relaxed.
The facial was equally as pleasing. A variety of lotions and cleansers were used, and she was particularly careful with my overly-sensitve skin which was glowing by the end.
We were left to use the facilites afterwards and were in no way pressured to leave as the time approached for the spa to close.
I would highly recommend this spa - and plan on going again. Definitely worth the trip out past the M25!
To be honest, before I stepped inside the comfortable space of the Antoinette Boudoir Spa,I had done my research. I had never been much of a spa enthusiast, but knew some kind of stress intervention was in order. The spa was the only one that offered discounts at a lesser price than their competitors from the very beginning. The staff is always courteous, polite and respectful. Always welcoming and concerned about your well being. The service is fairly flawless. I have had appointments with many members of the staff and each appointment has always been a very positive experience. I look forward to returning and I would recommend Antoinette Boudoir spa to anyone.
The treatment room is in the basement of a hair dresser. The room is not the best but it is clean. I went for a waxing. Therapist was friedly and very efficient. I would go again.
Had to book 2 months in advance!!! they shouldn't sell so many deals if they can't cater for the demand. apart from that all the rest was good and a good value for my money
I love this place. The swimming pool is absolutely lovely - really long, just can get a bit crowded at times, but mostly it's quiet. The steam rooms and sauna are nice and I especially like the heated beds. The body exfoliation massage was just okay - not great, but it was fine overall. I would definitely go back at any time there and if I lived closer, would become a member as it;s so nice.
Several visits to Dove Spas already (Kensington & Mayfair) and I must say that it doesn’t disappoint. I booked a body polish, mud wrap & massage package for £60 in Kensington High St., the treatment was great, the therapist absolutely lovely & helpful (much needed when trawled to the shower covered in mud and wrapped in plastic sheets!). I had mistakenly thought I would access the Virgin Gym too (it was part of a different package booked last year, my fault) but the receptionist offered straightaway to halve the daily cover charge (down to £10) which really made my day and allowed me to use the pool and the free classes (Aquagym & Powerplate are great ones on saturdays). The small restaurants offers a buffet of hot/cold salads for under £7, free internet access in the lounge, chilled atmosphere – what else do you need to relax for a day?
Had a lovely time, nice swimingthe pool with champagne and strawberries. Just thought the entrance to the gym and beauty spa could have been nicer. Also no where to sit except a couch in front of the desk. The spa rooms were small and had to go through the room where another therapist was doing nailsThought it all was a bit cramped. .
The Sun Room is more of a tanning salon than a beauty salon and the emphasis is on a speedy treatment rather than a relaxing bit of pampering. My mother and I went to have the Hydro-Active Mineral Salt Scrub. The procedure involved being scrubbed with the salt mixture, showering it off and then being moisturised all over. The treatment left skin feeling softer and more moisturised than before but the feeling was quite rushed. The Therapist seemed a little overworked and seemed to be rushing from one treatment to the next preparing for he next 30 minute session at the end of ours... The shower although small was very clean and all the products were Dermalogica - which is a very good brand. Would go back but not for the same treatment.
Had a spa day booked with my sister for lunch and two treatments.
The lunch was delicious and although we could only choose from a limited menu we were very happy with the food. The spa is located on the top floor of the hotel. It is quite small with only three treatment rooms so my sister and I were split up for our massages.
I was very pleased with the full body massage but the exfoliation treatment let me down a bit. I was expecting a bit more of a body scrub rather than just a gentle scrub on my arms and legs. I didn't let this get me down though as I really enjoyed the massage and the lunch. It was great value for money and we have already bought more vouchers to visit again!
The alt scrub I had did the job but it was much more practical than a treat. It was based in a tanning shop, the treatment took 15mins and not quite a pampering experience. My skin did feel better afterwards and it was a good deal through Wahanda but I properly wouldn't go back, especially paying full price.
I went for a Hamman with my sister just for a bit of pampering. The therapist was excellent and really friendly. Haven't stopped talking about it it ever since and plan to go back asap. It left me feeling totally relaxed, so much I didn't think I could make it home. I did but the relaxation continued, my skin felt lovely and a week later still feels nice. Would like to have somewhere safer to put my handbag but that didn't put me off at all. The therapists are what make it, such lovely ladies. I can't wait to go back!!!
i went here for a Hammam body treatment, wasnt quite sure what to expect but enjoyed my visit here so much, the staff were so friendly and the treatment was fantastic, my skin has never felt so good before, will be goin back for sure and would reccommend to everyone!
I had a wonderful experience body exfoliation treatment. I have never been a person who visit spas, neither do I go for body treatments. The lovely therapist changed my mind! She was friendly, and she explained to me the different kinds of treatment used.
The salon is located within a gym, however the staff were very professional and welcoming and the quality of the products used was excellent. After the massage, we were given a sparkling drink and strawberries and never felt rushed to leave. My manicure was excellent, with one of the widest rangest of colours I have seen
I am so glad that I found Maui Mobile Spa for my daughters Maui wedding! They flawlessly took care of all the details, from the private beach wedding and catering, to my daughters hair and makeup design. And of course we all got massage and organic spa treatments! We especially loved the traditional wedding henna/mehndi! I was a bit skeptical at first, but my daughter was all for it. I was stunned to see how beautiful and feminine the mehndi art was. Mahalo Maui Mobile Spa for creating a stress free, memorable celebration for our whole family!
Sincerely,
Ana Whyte
This is a lovely place. Really enjoy going there and wish it was more local to me as I would go more often. The pool is lovely and has a large jacuzzi which is fabulous. Only wish we could have tea/coffee or snacks without having to get dressed and go upstairs.
I purchased the Apricot Exfoliation Treatment via a Mob Deal so the value was great. I have been to a number of Salons/Spa's in Birmingham and this surpassed them all. The decor and space is amazing and the therapist and treatment were excellent as well. I will be returning for sure and will be making this my regular spa.
Honestly, I was really disappointed by this treatment. The rooms were not very clean, comfortable or relaxing and I didn't feel that the scrub actually exfoliated my skin. The therapist kept popping in and out of the room during the treatment, and left the door open whilst she was doing that until I asked her to please keep it closed - I could hear loud mens voices as they were wandering around upstairs and downstairs (must have been men that work there?). Not very relaxing or effective.
The facilities at wildmoor are first class, the food was good and staff are very friendly. The lime and ginger scrub left my skin feeling so soft and smelted gorgeous. I would defiantly recommend wildmoor!
The hotel is stylish, the reception staff were friendly and helpful.
I booked the session for myself and my elderly aunt as a treat while she was visiting us from the South of France. The therapy staff were great, very friendly and welcoming and they looked after my aunt really well. The only thing that detracted from the whole experience was that we had to walk through the gym (full of sweaty blokes on running machines!) to get to the therapy area.
We had a great day with you at the Radisson, thank you!
Had a lovely treat at the Beauty Lounge at the Radisson. The treatments were great, the rooms were lovely and warm and the therapists were particularly nice and friendly. I would certainly consider going again.
I enjoyed the day very much, the staff were very helpful from start to finish. I thought the treatments were well worth the money, especially the Aromatherapy massage, the therapist was very good. The only downside I would say was that the facilities could be bigger, it all felt a bit cramped with the gym being so close to the Spa facilities.
I enjoyed the day very much, and thought the staff were very helpful from start to finish, The treatments were very good and i liked the fact it didn't feel rushed, and you could use the all the facilities. The glass of bubbly was a nice touch with the bowl of strawberries. Would deffinitley reccomend this to friends and family.
I really enjoyed the experience the staff were really friendly and the facilities was really good there was even a GHD hair straightner in the changing rooms. I went for the morrocon steam cleansing treatment we were given mud, salt and oils and were put in a private chamber. It was really relaxing however I feel that the showers could have lasted a bit longer. Overall I was really impressed even though the Mayfair Spa is small it was really relaxing and the staff were really friendly.
The place is quiet and nice but small. There is free parking which is great and the staff are friendly. For me, the highlight of the day was the huge hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi to the rest of us and the amazing treatments. I had a facial and body exfoliation treatment, both lovely but much shorter than stated, by 10mins!! I was told at the beginning it would be cut short because they were very busy that day... Not what a paying customer wants to hear!
It's not really somewhere to go with a friend if you are looking for what I would call a "spa day", as there's just individual treatment rooms, nowhere to sit and chill. However, if you want to go and get good treatments with good therpists at good value, I'd recommend it. Lauren was fab - really professional, friendly, and very good at giving me a much-needed massage getting some really deep knots out of my shoulders. My nails looked great, well-painted; skin was so smooth, facial was worth buying the products! I'll go again.
This cost a mere £20 for full use of all spa facilities plus a 25 minute treatment with Elemis products. The wet spa facilities include an excellent jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, heated recliners, aroma room, and a 25m swimming pool. All clean, not crowded and very conducive to some "chillaxing". We also had a good well priced lunch in the restaurant upstairs before settling down to some serious relaxation. I would recommend this highly.
Having read previous reviews regarding noise etc. I expected the worst but I was pleasantly suprised.
Yes the therapy rooms are in the basement of a busy gym but the therapy rooms themselves were calm and relaxing. The receptionist and my therapist Penny were welcoming and attentive. Both treatments were carried out professionally the only drawback was that there wasn't a shower in the treatment room so I had to use the gym showers between treatments. The treatment room was clean and I was offered plenty of clean towels.
The massage was very relaxing and my skin felt really soft afterwards. Overall good treatments for a great price.
Fantastic friendly staff and therapist with magical hands, who was attentive but not intrusive.
Treatment products (by Babor) were absolutely luscious and top quality.
Facilities were both stylish and clean and I felt completely comfortable and relaxed throughout.
I will definitely be back.
I am so glad that I found Maui Mobile Spa services on my vacation to Maui! Not only did we receive the best massage therapy I've ever had, but they helped to create a truly memorable event for our daughters wedding. On the day of the wedding all the ladies did a yoga class with Dannette, and the men went off to do their surf lessons. For the wedding they provided us with magazine worthy hair and makeup, manicures and beautiful henna and Swarovski crystal temporary tattoos! I highly recommend taking advantage of this unique health spa service.
A day here is seriously like a mini vacation. Even my husband loves this place.
Taking my mom and friend this Saturday!
I feel so lucky today, it's Friday 13th and I couldn't have started my weekend any better than this.
Today I went to the Landmark Spa on a rainy Friday afternoon for a body scrub treatment. As it was chucking down with rain outside and people were rushing to avoid getting soaked, inside the Landmark was just pure tranquillity and all smiles.
I got to the spa early and the lovely receptionists showed me to the waiting room and offered me fruit juice. I liked the selection of magazines and broadsheets. Both businessmen and tourists use the hotel so there were a couple of business related publications, sailing and other pursuits.
I decided to have my appointment at 2pm as it is quieter mid afternoon. I only saw one woman before me and one after me in the changing room and a couple of men had just finished using the gym.
The changing rooms are tastefully decorated and spotless, with fantastic power showers. I forgot to use the steam room, what a shame!
The therapy room was nicely decorated in dark wood which is the theme throughout the spa. The uniforms are also dark brown blending in with the rest of the decor (I got a bit confused though between receptionists and therapists both wearing dark brown uniforms).
My therapist was SARAH HACKNEY, whom I had already met at the VOYA seaweed product launch on Wednesday. She recognised me from the event, and I am ashamed to admit I didn't recognise her as the event was very busy!
Sarah has been working at the Landmark for one year and a half. She is confident, professional and extremely knowledgeable.
Sarah used a seaweed salt scrub called the Bladderwrack Body Buff, which contains organic seaweed and seaweed infused massage oils. Sarah made sure I wasn't allergic to any of the ingredients and avoided applying the product to my fingers which have currently a bit of eczema.
Sarah asked me which areas of the body I wanted more work on and she made sure she focused on such areas. The pressure applied throughout the treatment was perfect, ensuring she avoided what I call the "sandpaper effect" as she used the right amount of pressure without "grating" the skin. The effect was a noticeable and immediate improvement in my blood and lymphatic circulation.
This treatment is 45 minutes long (normal price £65 but I got 20% off because I booked it during the VOYA launch day). This included the exfoliation, shower and application of a body moisturiser. Unfortunately I couldn't treat myself as often as I would like to as this is a bit of a luxury for me, but if I ever become an international Complementary Medicine celebrity I would have this treatment (and so many more) 2 or 3 times a week.
Being a therapist I paid particular attention to the details: I really liked the background music which was soothing without noticing it, the massage bed was just OK as it wasn't very padded but neither is the one I use in my practice. I think the best therapy bed ever is the Oakworks Antigua (only £3,845!), is like sleeping on a cloud.
Back to the Landmark Spa: a little suggestion is to use a shower mitt to really wash away the seaweed scrub, as the combination of oil and salt is very sticky and it takes a while to wash off.
The indulgence continues with fluffy robe, slippers and the relaxation room: located between the swimming pool and the gym (luckily extremely quiet, the gym being empty while I relaxed in the room), the relaxation room is warm and cozy like a Sunday lie-in with the papers. As I flicked through a magazine, I sipped peppermint tea from a Japanese tea set, ate fresh strawberries (nice touch!) and felt like a princess.
The whole experience was like a dream, from booking, to getting the treatment and basking in the glow of feeling looked after, safe and warm while the stormy weather was merciless outside.
I almost forgot: I also won the VOYA prize draw today, which I had entered at the product launch the other day. I left the spa on a high, and I was already elated from the treatment.
If you haven't been to the Landmark yet I urge you to book a treatment, you don't find this level of customer service very often.
I had three treatments.. a exfoliation, chocolate wrap and a facial... The theapaist was lovely.. the salon is very lovely and soothing.. I left feeling like a princess with ultra smooth skin and glowing face
Really good value for money and great body massage. The exfoliation seemed quite quick, but was thorough as skin felt amazing for a week afterwards! Only complaint I would make is that it is in the basement of a gym and the music from the spinning class is right above you and cannot be drained out of the room, so you end up having a massive with the doof, doof, doof above your head, but if you put the ocean music on really loud, it's a fantastic experience! staff are really friendly and massage was unbelievable!!
The treatments were excellent especially the exfoliation. The venue was nice an clean and in good location. Overall a good experience. The massge oil was good and the therapist provided excellent advice on personalisation.
I was very impressed with the staff, salon and treatment. Also had a free mineral make-up session after the treatment which was very good and unexpected. The salon also has blow dry hairdressing facilities which can be paid for after your treatment.
There was a small problem with the card issued for the deal in that it was not credited with the correct amount. However this was dealt with in a polite and efficient manner and at no extra cost to me. Not sure what caused the problem but could possibly be because the card was posted to me as opposed to downloading a voucher which is more the norm. Have to say the person handling this matter has very good customer service skills.
The spa is in a good location, an easy walk from South Kensington tube. It felt a bit weird walking past a lot of sweaty jocks from the fitness rooms on my way to the basement spa, but when I got there I found a very pleasant treatment room and a very pleasant therapist. Unfortunately she massaged my legs and my back but not my glutes, so I developed painful cramp in that area and had to get that sorted out by another therapist. A real pain in the butt.
SUCH a disappointment! Not even the ESPA products could elevate this from being a let-down. This is NOT a luxe venue, and the prices are comparable with a luxury experience.
- VERY limited menu
- Food served in hotel bar, away from the spa and shared with hotel guests, wedding guests etc etc (so you need to get dressed and make yourself presentable)
- robes and slippers in poor condition, had to complain in order to be issued with a fresh one after mine had got wet and was uncomfortable to sit around waiting in (and by then I was freezing so I had to go and sit in the sauna to warm up!)
- steam room not particularly hot
- pool full of screaming children
- changing rooms, loo's, and showers reminiscent of public swimming baths from about 10 years ago.
- one complementary soft drink per day, otherwise water from a cooler or £1.60 for a drink from the vending machine (or get dressed and go to the hotel bar and buy a drink)
- facial started 5 minutes late, I was left alone for a further 5 minutes so that I could lower my swimsuit straps off of my shoulders (really, 5 minutes?! left alone?!) and my treatment eventually started nearly 5 mintues after the therapist had returned and finished 12 minutes later - so much for 30 minute treatment. My friend had the same thereapist for all 3 of her treatments and she had much the same experience of lying around waiting for ages while the therapist went off to do things.
Overall, not worth a fraction of the money. 2star spa, 4 star price. Better off going to the Holiday Inn.
I thought the facilities were very basic and the staff did not provide a very warm recepetion - you could tell they didn't like the fact that my friend and I had used vouchers to purchase our treatments.
I thought the treatments themselves were OK, but I wouldn't have spent the full price at all.
Fantastic day! I went to the salon which is in the basement of a gym but still manages to have a really nice, relaxing atmosphere (only break was when a beefy guy walked out of the changing room while I was waiting for treatment.) I took the ayurvedic body exfoliation and massage. The products were gorgeous and I loved how soft my skin was left after exfoliation.(never had before so don't have anything to compare to) The therapist was really sweet and had soothing hands. My massage was very nice but it was only on my back and it would have been nice to include more but I guess you have to minimize with 30 minutes. All in all a fantastic deal for only £30. I definitely recommend it.
The theraphy room looked lovely with dim light, candles and flowers on the couch. It made me feel relaxed and at easy about being naked for the body exfoliation. The only think missing was some soothing ambience music, especially as I could hear loud music pumping out and a gym instructor barking at punters at some aerobics classnext door which soon brought me back to reality - this is a gym, not a luxury spa in the middle of nowhere
The therapist was pleasant and explained the treatments well, and my skin felt wonderful afterwards, as soft as when I was a baby.
Excellent value for money; at that price I would recommend it.
The venue was good, and therapist great.
The table was pre-heated which was lovely, however when cocooned in the wrap, you feel the cold more on your front (despite been loaded with extra towels) as your back is being heated. I recommend to have the table on a low setting so there isnt too much of a contrast between your back and front.
Despite this, the treatment was great and I would definately do this again!
Loved: Variety of steam rooms, and turkish baths which were scented, space to lounge around, professional staff,
Tea room had wet towels on all the chairs which the staff refused to change as otherwise they would be changing them all day
I went with a friend to use our marine algae body wrap vouchers and the experience was great. The treatment was lovely - a back scrub, a back massage and a back algae treatment, all of which left my back feeling great and me very relaxed! Also good value for money. I've yet to try the main facilities at the spa but liked the look of what I saw, so will definitely be going back!
Today, I had one of the most memorable experience at 'The Runway'. I was greeted with a glass of wine which was different to the usual juices and teas at other salons. The ambience was great and i was treated very well by the staffs.I have read many reviews saying that the treatments were rushed but in my case, this was not a problem so there is no doubt about the professionalism of this salon. My hairdresser/beautician went thoroughly through the needs of my hair/body and recommended products which will help solve my problems. The price was decent and definitely worth it. In my opinion, i would certainly go back for other treatments. I highly recommend 'The Runway'.
I took my mum and grandma on the Mobdeal and we had a great time. The staff and treatments were fantastic and we used the pool/sauna.
The waiting area is in the gym so a bit noisy and not very picturesque, but the lovely staff made up for this and the treatments on the offer were brilliant value.
From the moment you step into the spa you feel like you're having a break from the outside world. The staff are so friendly and will always try to accommodate extra treatements for you on the day. The heated beds in the spa, the massive jacuzzi and the salt room all leave you feeling very relaxed. This is a spa where you will go back and back to!
I have been here multiple times and will definitely return! Great skin analysis as well as a fantastic product line. I have gotten several therapists and always been happy with their level of expertise & professionalism. I would highly recommend Dove Spa.
The whole experience was lovely - very relaxing and calming - the time just flew by and I couldn't believe my treatment had taken as long as it was supposed to!!!! Facilities were excellent and great privacy - Dove Spas are truly for 'real women' so you never feel you should have a 'perfect' body and can just enjoy your treatments without feeling less than GORGEOUS!!
The building was initially hard to find. However when we got there, the therapists was lovely and very experienced. we was looked after and it was relaxing and great value for money.
The afternoon was great, peaceful setting, relaxing; the facilities were excellent, the body ice was a nice touch as an alternative way to cool down after the sauna. The hydrotherapy pool was large and very comfortable. The added bonus was that there were very few other clients on the day we went, so especially tranquil. It was well worth it; my friend is already planning a return visit!
The atmosphere and the welcome were perfect the minute we walked in. From the receptionist to the therapist to the lady who showed us the spa facilities, they could not have been nicer. It was my first visit, and I have found spas to be a little intimidating in the past, but everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. The facilities were superb, especially the small pool with jets!
I had a wonderful evening, and I think my friend did too. Thank you!
I have used the Dove Spa a number of times due to it being conveniently located a few minutes from my house. However, I have not been impressed, and I've got to the point where I probably won't go again. The first two visits I had were for massages, which were really good. I've also had a great pedicure here. Hwever, I've also had a number of really disappointing treatments. I had two eyelash perms: the first was not done properly and left my lashes crimped and frazzled. The second (about a year later) had zero effect, so I complained and was not charged. I also booked in for a facial which was rubbish. They charge by the length of time, but my appointment was 12 minutes short and they did no extractions, which clearly they could have done had they given me the full time. While I was paying, my therapist rushed past me out of the door with her coat on - clearly I'd been cut short so she could finish work! My friend and I also booked in for one of their package deals. We were supposed to get a body scrub, massage and facial, but the body scrub consisted of one stroke of a body brush down each limb - it lasted under 45 seconds. We were also supposed to get a body brush in the offer, but they ran out and offered us no substitute or explanantion - we had to query where our brushes were. The other gripe I have is that they rarely pick up the phone on reception, or return calls. My appointments have often been overrunning and they see me late but don't make up the extra time, so I get cut short but still pay the full price. There is one particular receptionist who is very curt and unfriendly. Overall, I think it's very poor and overpriced.
I visited Blue Bird Spa for a 75-min treatment which consists of salt scrub body exfoliation, warm Vichy Shower rinse and then the cocoa and mango butter massage. The cocoa and mango butter they used, feels so smooth on the skin. If they sell this cocoa and mango butter, I would buy it for myself and my friends to try.
After the massage I was wrapped in a warm wrap which was very relaxing. This treatment leaves my skin feeling soft and full of moisture, I would definitely come again for this heavenly treatment.
Writing about my experience at Chelsea Harbour Club Spa day in July brings back to mind the relaxing and enjoyable time. On arrival, I received a warm welcome from polite staff at the reception. After completing a form, I was given towels and a robe and shown round the clean and spacious facilities- the changing rooms and spa areas with staff giving clear explanation of the benefits. I spent three hours luxuriating from the hydrotherapy pool, (my favourite) to the sauna, heated sun loungers, swimming pool etc. Finally, therapist Lauren gave a professional full body exfoliation treatment with skill in a serene treatment room. I felt really relaxed and refreshed with a smooth and invigorated skin. There was no rush with any aspect of the treatment. After enjoying a shower, I left knowing I will soon be back again! One thing that can be further improved will be to have chilled water running in the water fountain in the spa area, instead of the tepid water.
Despite the less than salubrious surroundings - you enter the salon through a Vietnamese mini-market - the staff were very friendly and the treatments were great. It's a very small place and things like the bathroom and reception area are quite poky, with old-fashioned decor, and there is quite a bit of noise from the businesses next door and downstairs.
But having said all that, the therapists were lovely and the massage was absolutely amazing. I also had a Thai herbal steam treatment beforehand, which was great.
My tip would be to close your eyes on the way in and just enjoy being pampered - at a bargain price!
I didnt enjoy the massage much, however I did fall asleep for a while during my mud treatment! It was good value for money, however upon leaving it felt like a I was back at a school gym as there were a group of boys chatting up the receptionist. Not what I was expecting to put up with after a relaxing treatment!
A very enjoyable experience with various different types of mud for face and body followed by a gentle steam. Then came the rain (not really rain) to wash off the mud. Shower and then lovely creams for the face and body. The free gift was a lovely bonus!
The experience was good, the spa was a little smaller (i.e gym and sauna) than I thought it would be. Both therapists were lovely and the treatments were wonderful. I would tell my friends about the massage being fabulous but because of the facilities sauna, steam and jacuzzi not being available here would be a factor in going back or not.
Really nice evening with a friend. The treatment itself was rather short but the wet spa was lovely and we had a really relaxing evening. Would definitely recommend to others as it was great value with the voucher.
Lovely spa area, which is part of a larger sports club. Great location as I was able to have a spot of lunch along the river. The spa and treatment area were great and we had use of the wet areas and sauna rooms. Probably not enough spa faclities to keep you here for more than a a few hours but was a great place to relax and chill out.
Me and my mum went along to the spa for the afternoon, wow did we relax and everyone was so helpful there. I cant wait to go there again. The treatment we had was excellent and the facilities are lovley and then you can relax on heated chairs until your appointment! Pure Bliss.
Fantastic value for money!
The exfoliation treatment was amazing and the therapist was lovely.
Overall a very relaxing experience and my skin felt amazing afterwards.
Would highly recommend the treatment and the Spa :-)
Excellent value for money and really great staff. Highly recommend the salt body polish.
Went and had my treatment before my holiday, it was a great treatment but I think the scrub could have been better. I felt relaxed, but my skin wasn't notably different.
Definitely to go and try this treatment as it was really worth the money, but just wish it was for longer! Your body feels fantastic afterwards and you just feel so pampered and girly.
The staff were all lovely and the therapist exceptional - didn't make one feel selfconscious about one's wobbly bits. Will definitely be having this again and also booking my neice onto one for her 30th birthday!
Wonderful!
valerie
The place was really nice and the treatment rooms were very relaxing, however the I wouldn't say much about the treatment it self. Although it says that the treatment is for one hour it only lasted for like 40 mins and after it was done my skin didn't feel any different.
Probably wouldn't go there again, however the girl who did my treatment was really nice.
My friends and I attended the Nant Ddu spa for a well earned break, we saved and took time off work to attend and were disappointed from the start. When we arrived we were told that a therapist had called in sick and therefore they would be unable to fulfill our booked treatments. We had booked a full day spa which consisted of 2 x 55min treatment each. We were told we could have 1 x 55 min treatment each instead. We had not been telephoned that morning to advise us of the problem so we were unable to make alternative arrangements. We agreed to cutting out treatments down as we had little other options.
My two friends then went for their treatments and returned to the pool area within in an hour, only experiencing 35 & 45 minutes of treatment time each. We complained to the staff at this point and were told that the deputy manager would be contacted to see what they could do for us.
I then attended for my treatment - a fire alarm went off during the treatment and I was still back at the pool within 1 hour!
Lunch was lovely, the only high light of the day!
When we went to pay at the end of the day we were again disappointed as no-one had dealt with our earlier complaints and we were told that we were wrong about the treatments being short - they had checked with the therapists! By this point the manager/assistant manager were no longer available and there was no one available to deal with our complaint.
It was a very disappointing experience which could easily have been rectified with some help from the staff - what has happened to the "customer is always right"!
Wow, is all I can say - 85+ minutes of delight. I would come back to Montreal just to have a massage from Lyne, who was my therapist for one of their "Healing Touches" Ritual Massage packages. You can read the description of the treatment below from the spa menu, but essentially I had an exfoliation with a cream & rice mixture, took a shower and then had a deep tissue massage that was phenomenal. I felt in amazing hands with Lyne who not only showed an amazing understanding of exactly how and where to massage, but I believe she also used a lot of intense reiki type energy maneuvers which basically made me relax and eventually had me drifting in & out of consciousness.
The front desk reception for the spa (which is on the Sous-Soul lower ground floor 1) were amazingly helpful. In particular Ashley, the woman who greeted me before & after my massage, was just lovely, super friendly and very pleasant. The waiting area / relaxation room is small, cosy but very nicely done, and the facilities are spot on an very nice. But as I mentioned earlier, my treatment was phenomenal. I highly encourage anyone to check this place out. Wow.
The spa menu is a bit buried on their website, but when i came across this description, I was very intrigued to try it: "Indian Ritual 85 minutes: We begin by exfoliating your body using a blend of creams with Rice. The essence of Ayurveda is embraced in a treatment that begins with brisk, energizing movements and culminates with tranquil energy balancing. Healing Touches: Aromasoul Ritual Massages - Each exceptional ritual begins with an exfoliation from different areas of the world, and provides a unique restoring experience. An exclusive rare blend of essential oils inspired by the healing traditions of the culture, enhance the massage for a renewed sense of well-being."
Check this place out - its fantastic.
Bought this for my mum as a present so these are her opinions! generally speaking --was very good experience and good value for money. Incidently I also went there for a facial under another fantastic wahanda deal--it was only an express facial but this was quite good too, so we'll most probably go back!
I work in Canary Wharf and I love this Spa!!! It is the place to be in Canary Wharf, not off a backstreet but in the center of the shopping mall. The atmosphere and ambience is amazing and truly the best Day Spa I have been to (and that is a lot) It has a New York feel to it in terms of of the speed but backed up with great facilities and amazing service. The extras in terms of refreshmentsa dn personal service are great and the personal concierge that will seek to accomodate you rtime preference is heaven. It is a must for me every week while I am in London, especially for express treatments. My only crticism are the room can be a little small but apart from that it is 5 star pampering in beautiful surroundings. If only there was one in New York as well! O Spa please open one in New York! Best of both worlds in 2 citiies....love, love, love this place! My saving grace in London. I would highly endorse a vist...or 3!

This hamman did not live up at all to my expectations. I am very disappointed with lastmin.com-more like ripoff.com.
The 2 4 2 offer ie £120 for 2 people was ridiculous for what was offered.
Arrived at 11am and it felt like we were all shoved through and rushed, like on a conveyor belt. The experience in the steam room has left me traumatised! The initial attack of cold water was funny enough but the steam facilities were small and felt unclean and unhygienic. The black slime was ok but the body scrub was very harsh and has left me with scrathes on my back. What didnt impress me (along with everything really) was the fact we were all scrubbed ie exfoliated with the one scrub which felt like a brillo pad. So a no go for hygiene freaks or anyone with an interest in simple hygiene. I am not a hygiene freak and germs etc never bother me. But to be laying on someone elses dead skin wasnt really what I had paid for.
As for 'use of the spa facilities' -we were plonked on a bed with itchy blankets (in a room reminiscent of and old lady's living room with lace curtains to match!) and how could I forget the 'luxiourious shower where we had ample amounts of tesco brand label shampoo and conditioner at our disposal?!'
Kind of a laugh and a good but expensive story to tell me friends!
If anyone can recommend a decent spa value for money I'd be delighted to hear about it.
Im off now to out some detol on my scratches. Ive also come up today with a nasty rash on my neck-dont normally suffer with any kind of skin diseases.
Maybe wont go back!!
I visited the spa with my mum as a mothers day present. We had the Mud Detox treatment and it was very nice. The spa is only small and doesn't have any relaxation rooms but for the price we paid the treatment is great. If you want to spend a whole day relaxing then this isnt the place for you but for some really nice spa type treatments at a very affordable price then this place is great. Its kind of inbetween a beauty salon and a spa which is great if you want the spa treatments without the spa prices! I woud go again and recomend to friends.
I purchased the Enlighten Detox voucher as a treat for myself. I was made to feel welcome as soon as I arrived and led to the waiting/ relaxation area and offered a drink and a magazine. It was a relaxing environment with comfy white chairs. I was 10 to 15 mins early, but my therapist- Naomi arrived fairly quickly. She was very friendly and personable, and very clear in her instructions. She lead me to the changing area, showed me how to use the locker, and instructed me to undress and put on the gown. She came back promptly, and took me to the treatment room. I enjoyed the body scrub and the wrap and mini facial, the aroma was uplifting and nice. She was quite chatty, but not overly so. When my treatment was over, I needed to shower off all the mud, my skin was very soft. I was given the option of sitting in the relaxation area again, or changing back into my clothes. I was also given a pair of gloves soaked in aromatherapy oil to take with me. It was a very enjoyable, relaxing treatment, staff were all very nice, and I wouldn't hesitate to revisit this spa.
I went to the Spa because I won it in Wahanda's advent calendar. What a nice surprise.I took along my friend because like me she really needed pampering too!The venue is such a nice place to be in and the treatments were all fantastic and the staff were great. We enjoyed the fruit/nuts and drinks in between the treatments. The food in the restaurant was great too.I would like to go again to this venue and it would be extra special if it was an overnight stay next time!
I have just come home from a two day spa break with my daughter who I had taken for a 21st birthday treat and what a treat it was. From the moment we arrived we were cared for by staff and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and luxurious and had a stunning view of the golf course. The food was superb and so much choice.
We spent much of our stay in the spa area and then had a few hours of treatments which were just pure luxury. We will defiantly be going back and we recommend the hotel 100%
Enlighten Body Package. Great venue, friendly staff and fab package - just what I needed to shake off the winter!! I would definitely recommend this venue and the treatment.
Me and a friend went to the spa not really knowing what to expect...
On arrival we were greated by a very friendly lady who offered us a glass of water or herbal tea...
Once we had filled our forms in, we were asked to get changed ready for our treatment... Slippers, dressing gown and towels all provided...
The treatment was spot on, and very relaxing...
After the treatment we were offered a drink and some dried fruit a nuts which was very nice...
In the changing rooms there was a steam room which is lovely to relax in once your treatment has finished... There were also 2 very powerful shoers with shampoo and body was provided...
All in all, we both throughly enjoyed this experience and are sure to return at a later date...
Would recommend to friends.
I came to the spa for a Dead Sea Salt Glow and Reiki on the £20 off promotion and was very pleasantly surprised! Aveda salons are expensive normally, so i thought i would treat myself for a one off. My therapist was great, she really made an effort to get to know my body and i left feeling refreshed. Definetly a splurge but the day spa is so beautiful - worth it!
Had a wonderful experience with my daughter. Fully relaxed, the staff were first class made us feel really special.
I booked a package and in an hour had a body exfoliation, mud wrap, facial and head massage. Paula the therapist was great. Afterwards I felt lovely and fresh, just what I needed!!
Location in the city centre of Glasgow is a little sanctuary away from the hussle and bussle of George Square. Headed w/ my sister before her wedding and perfect way for her to de-stress. Staff, service and layout were impeccably professional - subterranean spa rooms help you switch off from the buzz of the hair floor.
I had booked body wrap and flotation treatment for me and my 2 daughters.
I was dissappointed that the treatments were not after each others and we had to wait, even 1 hour in between.
Luckyly the manager was able to arrange earlier time.
This caused us stress because my parking time was running out and we had to hurry up.
I was told on the phone by the receptionist, our spa time would be 3 hours.
Not at any point was I advised the treatments were not followed up after each others.
A beautiful Spa, which was very welcoming. The warm and friendly staff really put you at ease.
The therapy rooms are individual and you feel really relaxed and comfortable. I began with a body scrub using salt, lime and ginger, this really made my skin feel great and the en-suite shower gave you all the privacy needed to remove all the excess.
Following this I have a full body massage, which was totally relaxing and soothing. The facial was very cleansing and moisturising, the therapist gave me a choice of two, recommending the best for my skin type.
Lunch in the bar area was very tasty and half of my five a day. I had a berry smoothie and tuna baguette and salad. Very filling and fresh. In the afternoon I had a pedicure and a manicure, both excellent and a nice way to end the day. I can honestly recommend this spa and the therapist (Jenny), was very knowledgeable and friendly.
On entry to the spa we were greated by our hostess, who showed us around and helped us with our gowns and towels and advised about the facilities.we 1st went for a swim and tried the steam room- wow that was hot but good, before having our first treatment - full salt body scrub - my husband said he felt like a 'horse' when he was been scrubbed with quite a firm body brush before having the salt scrub BUT I thought it was a fantastic treatment and my skin felt FABULOUS afterwards.
The only thing I would complain about was that in the pre-treatment waiting room the chairs could have been a bit more of a lounger type and the tea water wasn't hot enough, but I feel this is just a petty comment.
Any way , After a light lunch ( still in our white towelling robes!) we found the relaxation room (which we thought was a bit tucked away and as we were the only people in it ,others posibly hadn't found it). The room was bliss - relaxation music playing , dimmed lights , lounger beds with soft blankets - just what was needed for a quick sleep before a last swim and then our second treatment - half body massage - my therapist was lovely, not too snobby and made me feel very relaxed.
All in all we loved our day at ROOKERY and didn't want to leave , we will be returning again .
I booked the Ultimate Indulgence Pamper Package as a surprise for my partner on Valentine's day.
When we arrived we were offered a drink and had a chat about what we wanted to acheive from the treatments. I liked the fact that you could tailor the package depending on your preferences.
I went for the body scrub and full body massage. I though the treatments were very good but the room that I had the treatments in was quiet small and unimaginative. Also it was a shame that me and my partner couldnt have the treatments in the same room.
Overall I would definately recommend this spa for quality of service and treatments
The Enlighten Body Detox Package at Dove Spa offers pampering at an affordable price. The package includes a full body exfoliation, body wrap and a mini facial for fraction of the price, I used this offer at the Dove Spa at Canary Riverside which provides chic/stylish environment and impressive customer service. This is the second occassion that I have been to The Dove Spa at Canary Riverside and again I have come away as a very happy customer as this was pampering in a desired environment with excellent customer service.
my girlfriend and i stayed at the hotel for a weekend spa break, i must say that having previously been to 4 other similar breaks in the Uk london beach is the most professional and enjoyable relaxing experience we have been to. The general standard is as high as it gets and we can highly recomend a visit for a weekend break... a day or halfday session just wouldnt have done!
The attention to detail is faultless and from the treatments, to the health centre and pool area we were extremely impressed.
we will definately return, superb value..
My friend and I had a brilliant day from start to finsih, the staff are lovely and the treatments were great. The Rasul is a strange experience but a great laugh covering yourselves in mud!! The only thing that i was dissapoint with was the luch didnt really get that much, I know you meant to be healthy at a spa but luckily my friend and I took some emergency chocolate and sweets oops!!
i enjoyed the treatment wished it could have lasted a bit longer, would definetly try another
great package, a friend and I went for the 2 for 1 gym and tonic which included a back exfoliation, moisturising wrap and massage--was very good value for money.
The only thing was that the massage was quite a hard one but to be fair the therapist was great and im sure she would have adjusted it if this was asked for but i decided to bear it as i knew id feel better afterwards! my friend thought this was one of the best treatments we have had so far!
Is a bit pricey but they really look after customers, giving 50% off vouchers etc as well as a points card. I had a dermalogica facial, hot stone massage and body scrub which was divine. the therapist was friendly and efficient and knew her stuff. I came out feeling so relaxed. The first time I booked a treatment I cancelled it because I was ill and the staff were very understanding and didnt charge usual fee. Only issue I have is that when you come in sometimes you have to stand at the entrance for a few minutes (if noone is at reception) before someone notices and deals with you. But all staff I have met have been really friendly, so once you get noticed you get looked after. I would recommend the place, especially the facials, my skin looked so clean and it didn't erupt the nexy day. At ID UK the staff are completely professional. Having written this I am wondering why I havnt been for so long and think I might have to book myself another facial, they were blissfull!
The Spa is easy to find and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a very relaxing treatment - just what I needed!
Really enjoyed my visit and my treatment. Great therapist and spa manager. They were so helpful and professional, I really rate this place.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after. We were spoken to by name and offered a drink. The atmosphere was lovely and calm, the spa was clean and the therapists all looked very professional.
I had a drift away package, exfoliation with massage and a facial. The products were delicious!! the therapist was very good, knew what she was talking about and offered advice after the session on products to use for the future and even wrote down what she used during the treatment for the future. Her massage technique was fantastic, very relaxing, i'd recommend the spa to my friends.
I booked through lastminute.com 'Moroccan Cleansing Ritual at May Fair Spa - 2 for 1 exclusive offer £60'
One hour of relaxation to gently unwind before your bathing experience where you can use:
* The aromatic steam room * The herbal sauna * The experience showers * The relaxation room
Collected by the therapist and taken in for your treatment. Envelope yourself in an array of luxurious mineralising muds before relaxing in your private steam chamber. Afterwards, drift away on heated loungers in the candle lit relaxation room where you will be served herbal tea and refreshing sorbet.
Well what was described above did happen but not in that order..arriving at the hotel we made our way downstairs along a corridoor wih loads of black doors, we were not so sure when we came across a door with a lady sitting at desk and on the phone was the spa reception.
Once inside we sat down ourselves down as she was still on the phone. She greeted us and gave us a form to fill in, asked us for a something to keep as a deposit against the locker key, we were given slippers and robes, we then had a quick tour around the spa.
The changing room was small with only 2 showers, but had everything you needed, hair dryers, body lotion, shower gel, cotton buds/pads (no facial creams).
She collected us from the relaxation room and bought us to The aromatic steam room and presented us wih trays with 3 dishes body mud, face mud, sea salt and oil. We applied the muds and other ingredients as directed and sat in the steam...one of the water pipes was not working and there were some loud bangs like if work was going on .......still after 20 minutes or so the warm rain shower came on and washed all the mud off. We quickly showered and applied the oil, I felt the difference straight away, my skin was really smooth!!!!
We then went back in the relaxtion room where she came and offered us herbal tea, and strawberry sorbet, there were apples (golden delicious) and dried fruit (saltanas, apricot, brazil nuts) which you could help yourself to! It was really nice here, perfect lighting and atmosphere..
We were told that the steam room was not working but we could use The aromatic steam room again after it had a clean. We just used the sauna for 15 minutes and then back in the relaxtion room for another 15 minutes, have to add the loungers were not very warm as I have experience in other spas.
After showering it wasn't obvious where I should've left my robe and towels and if I should bring back my slippers to reception. I asked a member of staff and she said to leave towels/robe in steel bin and return slippers. Luckly I got in showers before the other girls...the showere were really fab and powerful.
Overall we had a really nice experience and would come here again!
The experience is refreshing and inspiring. Your body feels like it has been scrub for the very time in quite a while, that it tingles and glows after treatment. There were parts that may hurt your body, however the heat soon soothes it. Overall the experience is relaxing and good.
The venue is brand new and immaculate with a lovely ambience. The staff were very friendly and falling over themselves to make sure your stay was perfect. The treatment was really nice and they were happy for you to stay and relax afterwards for as long as you liked in their relaxation room with a choice of blankets and a healthy tea menu. The changing facilities were lovely, and they had thought of everything you might need including complimentary combs! Tthe showers were amazing and had lovely complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner as well which is unusual. I can't recommend this spa highly enough.
If you are looking for a an experience of pampering and perfection that starts at the top of your head and continues to the bottom of your feet than you should most certainly make Image First a stop on your beautification quest. Baha and staff will win you over with not only their skill but also with their personal attention to you and every detail of your experience.
This package offers value for money I purchased the pick and mix voucher which included a neck and back massage, a body exfoliation salt scrub and waxing, what this salon lacks in luxury is compensated in the value for money in this package . The salon is somewhat modest in decor and style although is cosy and has a modern flair. The staff are friendly and try to do their best to ensure you enjoy your spa experience, I would definetly book on the pick and mix voucher although I couldn't say I would choose this spa if I had to pay full price for treatments.
I went to the Baglioni Spa with my friend as a birthday present from my husband and have a newborn baby - the whole experience was AWFUL. We went on the 241 lastminute.com deal which was advertised as 4 treatments - we only received 3 and they were all so rushed we were in and out in 50 minutes. Needless to say I was neither relaxed on unwound! The facilities are cramped, the steam room didn't work the only good thing about the whole experience was the shower and getting home! Value for money - NO! Would I reccommend this spa - NO!
nice spa. little disappointed with the swimming pool, but treatment were great!!!
We booked on the 2 for 1 offer, which includes 4 treatments. A back massage, facial, exfoliation and wrap.
We found the venue cramped although nicely done out. There is no relaxation area, it is all quite dark. No lights in the showers, the changing room is really only big enough for two at a time, only 4 lockers.
The offer is clearly about processing numbers. We had the whole lot in little over an hour. So it doesn't feel 5*, you have none of the finesse and ritual of a high end spa. They do the back massage, then the exfoliation, you don't get to shower that off, they put the gel for the wrap on top, and do the facial whilst the wrap is on. Then you are sent back to the changing rooms to shower. No body lotion massaged in afterwards as in the description.
think i had a trainee therapist as she didn't exfoliate or put gel on the back of my arms, and she asked me what my skin type was! Also during the facial she just scrubbed each part off with the facecloth instead of gently wiping off with several nice upward strokes of a clean cloth / pad as you would normally expect.
The steam room was nice though the benches were cold, and again it was dark. And there are plenty products to use in the shower and around the sink area.
For what we paid it was OK, I won't be going back though. A treatment for me is to relax and I want to be pampered and have the rituals not be processed through so they can get on with the next one.

I found the spa at The Baglioni to be a little dated and very limited in terms of space and not at the same level as other 5 star establishments.
For example you couldn't open the steam room door without geting on the floor and pushing the bottom of the door and the jacuzzi was actually a bath with a jacuzzi setting on it and only room for 1 person.
We had to ask each time for water/juice to be replaced as jugs were empty and the hot water for the tea came from a kettle which you had to keep asking for.
However, the treatment package did offer great vlaue for money and the experience was very relaxing and enjoyable
Thanks
I went to the Dove Spa in Epsom for the Enlighten Body Detox package. This included and all over exfoliation, then a detox body wrap, then a mini facial while the wrap was doing it's job and a body lotion to finish.
My therapist was lovely and the exfoliation part of the treatment was very enjoyable. The wrap however was awful. It contains peppermint and gets very tingly and cold. So you are lying there shivering for 20-25 minutes in a sticky mixture. Not nice! What made up for it was the mini facial and the additional head massage my therapist gave me. Very relaxing!
Dove Spa itself is quite a calming place. It's only small being in a Virgin Active so they don't have a lot of facilities. But the treatment room was lovely and serene.
The Cowshed Spa at Shoreditch House is nothing short of a godsend if you are a member of the House - and even more so if you happen to be under 27, thus qualifying for the famed 'half price Monday' discount which is valid throughout the different facilities. I visited tthis time for a much-needed Salt Scrub (£50 for 45mins, or £25 for U27) in preparation for a winter sun break in an attempt to slough off that dry, rough 'central heating' skin that often appears this time of year. The spa requires a credit card to secure your booking, and staff handily call a day ahead to confirm your visit.
The spa area is surprisingly quiet and peaceful considering the gym is adjoining but it really must be noted that this is not a spa in its own right, as such, but more of a convenient outpost of the Cowshed spas - you could be sorely disappointed if planning an entire day's visit. With that in mind though, the treatment rooms are well equipped; they smell gorgeous thanks to the Cowshed candles, and the decor is calming and rustic tones of woody brown and green. My treatment began with a request to don some fetching disposable knickers, then the therapist got to work with a stiff bristled dry body brush - not painful, but rigorous upward motions certainly aren't relaxing - but pain is beauty, after all. Coarse salt crystals in peppermint oil were then used to buff me all over. As there was no shower facility I had to pull on a robe and use the changing room showers to rinse myself off with the appropriately named 'Grumpy Cow' shower gel. Super-soft contouring cream finishes off the treatment with a cheeky massage across the neck, shoulders and facial pressure points so you leave feeling thoroughly pampered with utterly smooth skin. Already counting down to my next visit.
i visited this spa for a number of treatments over the course of about a year-i loved everything about this spa,it is a relaxing haven of peace and tranquility, and one of my favourite things is the sauna-free if you book another treatment-£10 otherwise.theres full use of walk-in shower, includes aromatherapy shower gels/shampoos etc,towels/robes/slippers provided.also soft drinks,fruit/herbal teas, bowl of fruit provied free.WONDERFUL! I only stopped going because i moved out of county, and havent found anything as nice since!only critisism may be,that some of the treatments could be viewed as a bit pricey for the area-but on a whole MOST of the treatments are worth it.
I visited this spa twice in September. First visit was to infil my gel overlay. The technician was young, sweet and moderately knowledgeable of her trade. The procedure was carried out in a dimly lit area which resulted in a 'not-so-perfect' finish. Upon leaving I noticed that the gel was raised and sharp in areas around my cuticles which meant I had to file down (thus removed the shine in) these areas
Second visit I completed a pre-consultation sheet. It asked 'what' I was looking for from my experience. My answer was 'exfoliation' as I had been on holiday and my skin was extremely dry. I received a chocolate wrap which was reduced to £60 [special offer] which indicated that I would be exfoliated beforehand ... I wasn't! I came away utterly disappointed because I felt that I had wasted my money/time and that my therapists was not competant in assesing my requirements.
Whilst I was there I also placed an order for a product which was out of stock. They explained that they only made monthly orders and that they would contact me around 10 days later once the item had arrived - I'm still waiting 3 weeks on!!!
The staff were very welcoming and the rooms were spotless white and clean-looking with the obligatory "tinkly music". However one oversight was that there were no hangers, hooks or shelves/lockers in the room to put your clothes when you have a body treatment, so I had to put everything on the floor! My therapist was friendly but not OTT which was welcome. I had a hot/cold body treatment which involved a scrub that went hot when applied, which was then wiped off and followed by a cream that went cold when applied. I was disappointed that the scrub was not really WORKED into my skin, as other treatments have been when I have done them elsewhere, so it wasnt massively effective as an exfoliation treatment could have been. I was then wrapped in what was meant to be foil but was actually plastic sheeting and then some sheets. I was asked every so often if I was too hot/cold so that more/less layers could be applied. It was quite cold and uncomfortable being wrapped up, but the facial was very good, involving lots of stages (cleanse, massage, exfoliate, mask, toner, moisturiser), and done very gently - my face felt as smooth as glass afterwards and was very relaxing. The only gripe I have is that the rooms are just next to reception/door so anyone that comes in, or any phone calls, etc can be heard in full which is not the most relaxing thing in the world when you are in a darkened room getting massaged/having a facial and trying to drift away. But for the price £39 I cant complain and would use them again - not as a luxurious treat, but as a functional salon. They have a loyalty card which is stamped every time you spend over £30 on treatments and products, and after 5 stamps you get a £30 voucher.
Nice spa, and acted very reasonably when I changed my booking time at the last minute! Staff were very knowledgeable on the products available and I felt relaxed and comfortable throughout the treatment. Only problem for me was that my pre paid gift card did not register on the spa computer as fully paid and I had to pay an additional amount to pay my bill so had to part pay twice! when i contacted the spa again to discuss my receipt (my internet purchase mean't I had a print out of the credit card transaction) I spoke to Rachel who confirmed she would speak to the manager and call me back the following day but I have heard nothing so they really lose points on customer service! In fact 3 members of staff managed to overcharge me! Hardly a reason to go back again!
Fabulous day out! We had a small private Jacuzzi room to our selfs. The girls are lovely and really enjoyed the treatments. Would recommend, they have such great packages. xx
Mii amo is in a tremendous location in Boynton Canyon in Sedona. The facilities are spectacular and the therapists are the best I've experienced. I loved the indoor and outdoor pools, and stargazing from the outdoor whirlpool at night. The food at Mii amo is delicious, especially the blue corn waffles and smoothies in the morning, and then the filet and beet salad for dinner -- dessert was incredible, I could eat the trio of chocolates every night. I couldn't believe that you get two spa treatments per day, what an amazing deal and I experienced true bliss. The red rock hikes and cooking demonstrations were my favorite activities. And I love that they use Eminence products -- my favorite!
This place is not a place for the shy. If you are uncomfortable being naked, you can wear a bathing suit, but it's a better experience if you go completely nude. There are no restrictions, limitations... you just feel really free.
There are various amenities to choose from while waiting for your spa treatment, such as the cold water pool, hot tub/jacuzzi, steam room and red clay sauna. I used the first three before my spa treatment, which was incredible. The body scrub left me feeling like I had the skin of a baby. Though it was a very rigorous scrubbing, feeling like the therapist was scrubbing all my skin off, it was still enjoyable.
You share the treatment room with two other clients, so again you must not be shy because everyone is lying naked on slabs, making you feel like you are meat being prepared for dinner. But yet again it was incredible, one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had.
The massage was very deep. The therapist, who was probably 55 years old, surprised me with her strength, and she hopped up on my back, digging her knees into my back, everywhere. There is no air of pampering here, but you know that the service is high-quality and that you are being taken care of. The treatment incorporated water being poured on you, milk being poured on you...it was incredible. I was standing next to this tiny woman throwing buckets of water on me, and it was sort of crazy, but heavenly as well.
Following the treatment, which I wanted to have last forever, I spent some nice alone-time in the red clay sauna laying on the floor in the shivasana pose for probably ten minutes. It was very relaxing and after that, I showered and left looking forward to my next visit!
It could have been a great experience but the treatment was cold and I remaqined cold during the treatment
The room was basic but pleasant with scented candles and Norah Jones playing in the background. My specialist was friendly and helpful, explaining everything before we started. I think this is really important as sometimes people assume that this is something you do all the time and that isn't always the case. I like to be told to what clothes to take off or keep on and where to sit or lie before the treatment begins. A clear explanation avoids any potential embarrassment.
The treatment started with a gently heating back scrub, perfect for softening the skin and reinvigorating the body. I always love getting a back scrub done as it is something that is impossible to do yourself at home. This was removed with hot, damp towels and then it was on to the back massage using lots of jojoba massage oil. I definitely felt more relaxed once she was done, even though there were a couple of slightly uncomfortable twinges in the process.
After my massage, it was on to the facial. I closed my eyes and really did almost drift off as layers of product were used to give my skin a good treat. I was told that my skin is fabulous already, and very even in tone, so for that reason I think I must be lucky. Either that or they say that to all the girls... All the products smelt yummy and felt even better on my skin. The only downside was leaving after the treatment to find a rainy, windy London and a sticky tube ride home.
Now at home my skin looks and feels soft and silky, so I'm really pleased with my treatment. A good pampering was just what I needed as life really has been super busy of late.
Dove Spa pros
* Cheap enough for regular pampering
* Friendly, helpful staff
Dove Spa cons
* Not quite soft enough warm towels
* Basic rather than luxurious

I took advantage of Dove Spa's summer promotion and enjoyed three treatments. My therapist was great and I enjoyed a relaxing 90 minutes, including a mini-facial, body exfoliation, and a full body massage with scented oil. My only negative comment is that I appeared to be the first guest at the spa (at 10:30 am). The cleaning and maintenance staff were fussing around. They detracted a bit from the calming experience one looks for in a spa. That said, all of the staff were quite professional and friendly and I will certainly go back. It is a wonderful value and my spa break was a great, relaxing experience.
A great day at the spa. Very relaxing, good service. Will do again.
Can't wait to get back to this spa. It's the best spa in the UK, in my opinion. Every possible comfort or aspect of a visit to a spa, from customer service to location to food to atmosphere to decor to water temperature to warmed towels and robes - everything has been considered and attended to. The location is fantastic - ocean nearby, lovely gardens overlooked by the luncheon balcony, restaurant, relaxation rooms and treatment rooms. You can even see the gardens from the swimming pool, through massive glass windows. The treatments are phenomenal as well. My friend and I both felt so refreshed and pampered that it almost felt a disappointment to leave. There were plenty of people at the spa, but somehow it never felt crowded or crushed. Just lovely, warm and happy. I was so relaxed and comfortable there that I fell asleep in one of the relaxation rooms at one point, which is something I never do.
I noticed that if you stay at the hotel on the premises, there's an underground tunnel you can go through to get to the hotel without having to brave the elements. Just get your turkish bath experience or massage and go back to your room without leaving the warm cocoon. It's that sort of thinking that makes this spa incredibly special. Worth every penny.
I had the Enlighten Boday Detox treatment, it was ok but nothing outstanding. My therapist was very friendly however the treatment rooms are very close the the gym area. During my treatment, inspite of the music, I could still hear some light noises from the outside gym. I agree with some of the previous reviews, the rooms need a bit of updating and they don't seen to be that clean/tidy..
I went the day before my wedding to make sure that my skin looked glowing. I decided a facial wouldn't be a very good idea so the therapist offered to spend the time extending the full body massage. It was so good my stresses must've disappeared because I feel asleep and she almost couldn't wake me up!
people always say i look a lot younger than i am and a put that down mostly to the house of beauty and clarins, one of the best beauty salons in the north.
It was lovely and relaxing - just make sure you arrive in plenty of time to make the most of your day. The afternoon tea was just delicious too so make sure you are also hungry!
The salon was extremley fresh & bright. The staff were friendly and my therapist Jodie F, put me at ease straight away. The whole treatment was extremley good value for money and as a result of this, I have been back to the salon for additional treatments since.
I went to the Brandshatch Place with my mum and sister as a birthday treat for my mum,We had a wonderfull girlie day , the staff were so friendly and not intimidating at all like you expect when going to a spa.
All the facilities were fantastic, from the pool, and steam room to the relaxation room, beautifull, and the lunch that we had there was lovely and great value.
The one small thing i could complain about if being really picky was as all three of us had a facial, we was talking about how lovely it was and both my mum and sister mentioned that they had a scalp massage as part of the facial and the therapist did ask if that would be alright at the start of my facial but never did it.
That is the only reason i knocked one spot off , but still i had a wonderfull day there and have already recommened it to friends and family , and am already thinking of excuses i can use to go back!!
Brilliant day!
We opted for a "stress-buster" deal.....£55.00 for all-day use of pool, gym, sauna, steam-room plus 2 treatments.
We arrived at 10am and were then briefed on health issues.
We filled in a fairly detailed questionnaire and were checked out for our suitability for the day. Not something you get at every spa!
It was all very welcoming.....good shower/change facilities, comprehensive buffet/bar (you pay for this) and a great pool with jacuzzi etc.
The 2 treatments (body exfoliation and shoulder massage) were excellent and we left at about 4.30pm having had a very enjoyable and relaxing day.
Just to inform all Wahanda visitors of the wonderful time I had at Eastthorpe Hall, as a hardened spa go-oer - they had a lot to live up to - I had researched them well and done my homework. I love the fact that this place isn't stuffy and inpersonal, Truly, over and above, it surpassed my expectations. I can't fault it - serioulsy, it was fabulous, everything from the minute I stepped through the door to a really warm welcome to the fond farewell, they really have got it right. I was fortunate enough to have my reflexology in the yurt in the grounds of the spa, the noise of the birds tweeting outside and the gentle trickling of the ponds was truly magical - I urge anyone who is into spa-ing to try them - it really is a must, I have been to all the biggies (conveyer belts) the other Yorkshire based ones (cheap as chips and dire) and I am gutted I have only just found this place - I truly can't wait to go back!
I have a spotty back. I admit it. And I'm not flexible enough to get the loofa down there so I thought I'd go for a bacial. A back facial. This place is just off blinging Westbourne Grove so if you do want to buy a £5 box of eggs from Daylesford Organics and 5 Gucci handbags after your treatment- you are in heaven.
This place is next door to a place with a similar name so be careful - I got confused and ended up in the wrong place - bear right as you go up the alley. Got inside - registered and was served some water with lemon and mixed nuts and berries. Very nice. Scoffed the lot. Therapist was a bit late but when she arrived - she arrived. Russian lady stomped down and almost pulled me by my ear into the room. Face down. Clothes off. Let's talk. To be honest she was hilarious and very interesting to chat to but if you do want to chill-out then maybe she's not the best person.
The treatment was very good. Exfoliation, steaming, back massage, chemical oil peel, hot stone, UV lights and extraction. EXTRACTION = SQUEEZING YOUR SPOTS. I never knew this.
Room was a bit 'hospital-like' but didn't really impact the treatment. Therapist was keen to sell me some 70 quid vitamin C serum but declined. Recommended for both the extent of the treatment, the comedy value of the therapist and the fact someone squeezed my spots which is kinda gross but a bit decadent.
Urban retreat has always been my last minute need to do something solution. honestly i am not fully happy with everything there, but i just kept on going back . ( well, for the sake of my rewards point and free parking i guess)
Apart from the hair salon, I've tried the beauty, eyebrow , body and nail service there.
I do find some of their therapist weren't very friendly or shall i say didn't really meet the harrods customer service standard. ( la prairie lady was very "cool" ) Eyebrow shaping place very basic, but it's ok. (well, 24 pounds, i'd expect them to have some fancy chair or offer a bit massage but its just.. basic ) nail bar upstair tend to keep people waiting a lot, and those girls are rushing to the next job. but good skill.
I think if you want to treat someone to a beauty spa, this might not be the best place to offer, because it's not really somewhere to relax and chill. but for treatment that's hard to find in london ( cream de la mer ) you have to come to urban retreat because of it's exclusivity. overall, its somewhere that I don't mind going but won't really recommend people to go.
Had such a great day at Eastthorpe, slightly dubious about going on my own but the warm welcome I received soon put me at ease. The spa is a little like a tardis - it seems never ending and every room has obviously been designed for what the client needs. My day started with the pool and the jacuzzi - gorgeous very private and gazing out over the grounds and fish ponds was magical!!! The great thing was that I had to give them complete control and the staff seemed to appear at the right time and collect me for my treatments that had been cleverly included in my programme. As a hardened spa goer and used to a very high standard (having lived in the States), the standard of treatments were exceptional and I didn't want it to ever end, most of the other guests had been before most of them loads of times and I can see why, that previous review from last year doesn't sound like the same place, I booked in again before I have asked anyone who would listen to buy me vouchers. In a time when you need a little tlc, eastthorpe hall delivers - a real gem!
went to this salon with my partner , this was the first time i had been there the location is great access for me & my girlfriend as we both we in town & its in the heart of the city.
treatments were very relaxing & the oils they use are espa products
my girlfriend has since booked a course a st tropez spray tanning with them
very happy
Bath House Spa is really lovely. The beautiful setting (I sat by the indoor pool looking out onto fields of grazing deer and horses) and excellent staff make this a cut above the average hotel spa. The treatments were also excellent and the therapists friendly and professional. I spent a thoroughly relaxing two days at the hotel with my sister and would definitely go back for more!
I absolutely love The Sanctuary in Covent Garden. I go with my mum and sister and we try to go roughly 2-3 times a year for our birthdays. I could not knock anything (apart from it is quite expensive but it is always worth it!)
The Sanctuary is absolutely beautiful and a relaxing atmosphere. I just love sitting in the coi carp lounge with a cup of tea snuggled in one of their fluffy white dressing gowns.
I have been a few times now. It is being redone at the moment and cant wait to see the new decor...ive heard that it is going to be brilliant!
We have never experienced bad service here, the staff are so lovely and make you feel so comfortable. The treatments really are excellent. You come away feeling a million dollars. The next day you feel like you have the holiday blues as all you want to do is go back there!
I would recommend it to anyone - i love it!
it was a great experience,We had a warm welcome, although we were late.. The Staff are very cheerful and so relaxed, the service was excellent, the body treatment called Hammam it is really highly recommended it is all about well being. We were very pleased with the treatments we had . The Hammam was superb My skin never looked so good We felt clean , healthy .and happy actually there is something special about the place we spent hours there while we are relaxing we been served Morrocan tea and fresh fruits , we had a lebanese mezza for late lunch. Casa Spa is a great place for get together, get pampered in a relaxed atmosphere and at a reasonable price.
I ll definitely visit this place again
I go regularly and use all their facial products. They know what is right for your skin I always have clear soft fresh looking skin. They are friendly you feel relaxed and it is a very enjoyable family outing.
The Turkish Massage experience here was so good that I went twice in a matter of 3 days, and wish I had discovered this place earlier. I was staying at a nearby hotel in Oludeniz that did not have a spa or turkish massage facilities, so it was very easy to organise a taxi to take me & my partner to this spa just off the beach (so its very conveniently located). The people working here advise you get this treatment done at the beginning of your holiday as its a great way to exfoliate the skin and prepare it for the tanning, as it leads to a deeper tan.
At first I was a bit turned off by the waiting area which has cheap plastic chairs and slippers - definitely nothing luxurious. Bring your swimming trunks or bikini, but they provide towels, and your own slippers if you like.
After getting changed, you are led to a large room which hot & steamy marble sauna bath - you also have the option of using their separate sauna room. The large grey marble turkish bath is an interesting place - it was the first time I had ever been in one of these rooms - it was really interesting. You sit there for what seems like ages, but really the point (that no one had explained to us) is that you should be in there for 20 minutes to relax, let your pores open up, etc.
After 20 minutes of sitting on the warm marble, burly men (and sometime burly women) enter the room - these are the masseurs. At first the ask you to lay on your stomach in the middle of the room on the large circular marble platform (the picture here above is what the room looks like). The treatment begins with them tossing water on you, then take some soapy mitts and scrub you down (then you flip and get scrubbed on your front side). Its a bit intense, but it feels great. My partner and I were worked on simultaneously by two therapists. After the exfoliation, another dousing of cold water followed by the best part - someone blows lovely bubbly olive oil soap foam all over you, and the masseuse begins to give you a nice massage, which feels great. Another dousing of cold water follows, then they ask if you want to have your hair shampooed.
I said yes, and so you go to a corner by a large bath and you are shampooed vigorously. Then I opted for a shave (you can also have a quick mud mask facial, but i went for the shave instead). Using a straight blade, I had a super close shave that was great.
Then, I went back upstairs and had a 30 minute deep tissue aromatherapy massage which was heavenly. The massage therapist really got in there and gave me a great massage. I left the place feeling rejuvenated, clean, fresh and energetic. It really helps bring you up after a day in the hot Turkish sun!
I went in the opening week when all was half price so extremely good value, but at the normal prices they are about par for the course. I had a whole afternoon of pampering and loved the fact that the same therapist did all of my treatments and talked as much or as little as I requested. Their products are wonderful and the treatments are of the same standard as other Champneys resorts (fantastic). The main problem was the large window in the manicure area where passers by watched you, a little gold fish like, and the fact that I could not spend the day swanning around in a fluffy dressing gown as at their residential resorts! I would certainly go back, although it won't stop me going to the smaller and more intimate local salons.
My friends and I had a fantastic time when we visited SPA SPC last month. We were welcomed by a friendly happy reception team, and received top notch treatments from their expert therapists. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the comfort of the spa atrium, followed by a fantastic wash and blow dry at the hair salon. I left feeling a million dollars!
I went with a couple of girlfriends who both had massages - I had the ginger and lime salt scrub. We all really enjoyed our treatments. I am a regular at the Elemis spa in Lancashire Court and find that Elemis therapists irrespective of which one you get are all extremely well trained, professional and give excellent treatments. The Intercontinental Spa has a stunning, modern decor and is an extremely relaxing environment from the minute you enter its reception, through to the treatment rooms, to the bathrooms. However the Lancashire Court Elemis remains my favourite, old habits die hard!
I have visited Spa NK in Notting Hill on a number of occasions and have experienced excellent treatments including the Aromatherapy Associates Rose Body Wrap, the Eve Lom Facial, an aromatherapy massage and a pregnancy massage. I love the whole vist from start to finish as special attention is given to the relaxation area - lovely fresh fruit, water, teablends, great reading material and a relaxing soundtrack - the changing rooms and the treatment rooms. It is somewhere you feel able to while away a few hours and are never in a hurry to leave after your treatment. The therapists I have seen have also always been excellent and very attentive to special needs like injury or pregnancy. And you can goe and buy some lovely products at the SpaceNK store downstairs afterwards!
I am a spa junkie and was delighted during my stay at the Victor to discover they had a spa. The spa has wonderful decor, great ambience with a chill out room where you wait before your treatment and can hang out in afterwards if waiting for a friend/just wanting to chill out.
I had a salt scrub exfoliation treatment which was amazing. Whereas after some body exfoliation treatments my skin only feels soft until the next day with this one my skin felt soft for days afterwards.
I then had a head neck and back massage with a different therapist who really alleviated the stress and tension I had from a long flight and lots of travelling.
Both therapists were very impressive. I would highly recommend this spa, even if you are not staying at the Victor (I was) then it is worth a visit for the spa. Enjoy!
Through this fabulous website I won a Rose Ritual Spa Treatment at this very beautiful Spa!
I arrived early and took full advantage of the gym and Spa pool! The gym was small but I had it all to myself and it had everything I wanted to use so was ideal. Each treadmill had its own TV and I was leant a pair of headphones as I'd neglected to bring any and subsequently watched Countdown whilst having a gentle jog.
After my strenuous gym routine, I relaxed in the Spa pool which was small (but again as I had it all to myself it didnt matter), it was located next to the showers which was a bit weird as people were coming out of treatments into the shower and I was sat in the spa trying to relax.
I was haded my paper knickers and headed in for my treatment. Phyllis talked me through my treatment and began with scrubbing me with some sort of rose/rice/sugar combo which was completely fabulous. I then went for a shower (no one was in the Spa pool!) and was treated to jets hitting me from all angles. Once the rice was out of every crevice I returned for a fabulous rose ritual massage which was wonderful, I know this because I kept waking myself up with some loud snoring! I was then covered in towels and Phyllis began my facial and put a face mask on. 15 minutes later she returned, woke me up (again!) and took the mask off, followed by appling some yummy rose face creams. Lovely Phyllis then began my head massage, only to be rudely interrupted by her mobile phone ringing, damn technology! Phyllis was very apologetic but unfortunalety for me that was an abrupt end to my head massage, nevermind I still had cake to come. I got my robe back on and headed back out into the waiting area where a lovely glass of champagne and a delicious little cake were waiting for me, heavenly!
The layout was a bit like a maze but that's all due to change during the forthcoming refurbishmanet. The whole place was very grand and luxurious, I was like a kid in a sweet shop, WOW! I had the most marvelous evening there and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone that has a spare £250!! Thank you Wahanda xx
Although I haven't had the luxury to have visited that many spas in my life, I dare to claim that this is one of the better spas out there. The staff was extremely professional and sweet from the very beginning. Everything felt like it was perfectly arranged. The quality of the facilites, for being located in a five star hotel, was not as luxurious as I had expected, but to me the traditional cambodian simplicity just added to the whole experience.
The treatments themselves were divine, and were conducted by highly skilled therapists. I had a body scrub, a full body massage and a facial, and they were all top class. I even fell asleep during the facial, as it was so relaxing. The only thing I experienced as a downside was the fact that the staff couldn't speak one word of english, which can result in some confusion.
Overall I must say that, up to this day, no other spa visit has topped this experience. If you get the oppertunity to visit Cambodia, you MUST make a stop at this place!
I’d heard rave reviews about The Sanctuary so couldn’t wait to finally try it out – it’d been on my spa to-do list for over a year. I decided to go for an evening session as I couldn’t justify taking time out of my working day, but having never been to a spa after dark, it made it all the more exciting.
When I arrived it was super busy, in fact maybe a little too busy as although I’d pre-booked a treatment, I was carted off by one of the spa staff and asked to fill in some forms. When I queried this she went off to ask someone else and took so long, I was conscious that I’d miss my treatment time so I ended up going to one of the helpdesks and sorting it myself. After that was sorted, I got shown to the changing rooms and was given my locker which came complete with robe and towel, but no footwear. It does advise you to bring flip-flops but it had totally slipped my mind so was told that I could walk round bare-foot instead. I think it’d be a nice touch if they had Sanctuary spa slippers!
I had my treatment in one of their many treatment rooms and it was slightly smaller than I expected, although I imagine that’s because there are so many visitors, they have to have plenty of rooms to accommodate them. My therapist was lovely and once I’d hopped off the massage table and the dressing gown was back on, she talked me through what products had been used and even offered me some advice on what I could do post-treatment – a nice touch rather than being escorted out of the room immediately after the treatment finished.
One thing I couldn’t get over is how big The Sanctuary actually is. To get to it you’re led via the small spa shop, up some stairs and into a main reception area, which is sizeable but nothing spectacular. However the spa itself is spread over four floors, and despite spending an entire evening exploring the venue, I’m convinced I still managed to miss some of it. I would therefore definitely advise having a quick tour, although maybe a little after you arrive so it’s not packed out.
There are so many ways to spend your time here that you don’t even need to come for a treatment to enjoy it as there are numerous pools and Jacuzzis along with sauna, steam room, sleep room and numerous relaxation areas and it really does attract a mixed crowd. There were people in groups, pairs or going solo and of every age (I was in the steam room with a family of three generations – daughter, mother and granddaughter) proving that it’s still got great appeal.
This was probably the best spa experience from a treatment standpoint that I have ever had. I did the 150 minute Vigor package in a couples treatment room with my friend, and I must say that it was outstanding. The therapists first brought us into the rooms and washed & massaged our feet with hot towels - absolute heaven. Why every spa does not do this, I do not know. It not only feels amazing, but if you have been walking around all day, you now feel completely refreshed and less self-conscious when eventually you are being massaged on your feet.
Both my friend and I then were asked to put on paper underpants and we were exfoliated with a body scrub from head to toe - absolute heaven. We then showered off and I received a Balinese massage which was just the most perfectly deep tissue massage I have ever had. The therapists at this hotel are so amazingly well trained that this is the standard for all other spas I have been to ever since. Sensational really.
The facial was also very very good. My friend loved hers.
Overall, although this resort is difficult to get to, the Spa is hands down the best spa I have ever been to in terms of service and the quality of the treatments. All of the details are attended to in a first class manner
I booked a couples treatment which took place in a lovely private treatment villa with its own treatment room, shower room, outdoor jacuzzi, fountain & garden!! Wow! The treatments were really just amazing and lovingly performed. The experience was something you just don't get in Western spas.
The treatment started with a body exfoliation treatment (the therapists made us wear some paper underpants), after which we had to shower off. We then had massages which were lovely, and then facials. We got to also enjoy the privacy of the shower room and outdoor tub.
I went over the New Years (Dec 2006 / Jan 2007), and booked a package spa treatment as a guest at the hotel. Unfortunately, it was difficult to get spa information beforehand, so I needed to book when I arrived by going to the spa and getting an information booklet.
Some notes about the hotel:
It takes 35-45 minutes by taxi to get to the hotel from the airport, fyi.
Even though the place was full (mostly Russian & Chinese tourists), it felt very quiet and calm. The layout is amazing with pools, bridges, a place to play water volleyball & basketball, a poolside bar, etc. The beach is fantastic - quiet, amazing waves (mostly), loungers and great sand. The weather was surprisingly decent, but a little windy.
The room was amazing - very comfortable bed, great design, a massive circular tub, an open shower, great view and private balcony. In room CD.DVD player and flat screen TV, and a nice sitting area as well. Very romantic...and the room service was always spot on. Amazing fruit, great champagne, good food (great breakfast as well). And the service is prompt and very friendly.
This has to been one of the most amazing spa's I've ever been to, once you arrive at the hotel, you take a relaxing abra ride (water taxi) through their man made waterways (which are stunning) to the spa.
The private treatment rooms have private bathrooms and outside areas, everything about it is relaxing! The staff were amazing and your instantly made to feel at ease, though it a bit pricey, at the end you feel like it's money well spent.
All the treatments I had done there were great, I can't recommend them enough.
Probably the best Spa day experience in the UK - it's hard to beat! A day spent relaxing beside the roof-top pool - protected from the wind and a real suntrap - interspersed with luxury body treatments and hot wax manicures and pedicures. I left feeling like a queen!
Luxurious treatment in a beautiful environment. The therapist was professional and made me feel comfortable at all times.
The spa and yoga facilities are absolutely exquisite. The views from the spaces are relaxing and calming. The cabanas are worth every bit of money. The main building with its restaurant and guest rooms are not so great. The restaurant is a bit over priced and lacks ambiance. It needs a serious renovation. Other than that, this is a top notch resort and the best part, only a 3 hour flight from New York City.
The staff were very friendly but the body scrub was rudimentary and i was left feeling grainy - although it shouldn't have been necessary my friend had to go for a shower afterwards.
The therapist was very chatty but couldn't really explain the treatments.
The pedicure was excellent - i went for a nice sparkly navy blue.
Bliss is great for an overall clean up- It is not a place to go and relax and leave your stress at the door. The environment is very sterile and "bright". They have great products and most therapists are knowledgable. They def have some great facialists but you need to find one that you like. It is a little more hit or miss. It offers great gift certificates and gifts.
