Biodynamic Massage

Let your stomach do the grumbling with a biodynamic massage. It's a pioneering treatment developed in the 70s, in which a stethoscope is used to listen to the gurgling noises of the stomach during a massage. These noises are used to monitor the inner state of the body and also to shed light on emotional problems.

The theory is that physical problems and emotional stress can have an effect on your digestive system; therefore, an in-depth analysis of the gut and digestive organs can help to discover and solve any bubbling health issues.

How does it work?

Your therapist will use a range of massage techniques, some of which are similar to those used in conventional massage. There are also specific positions and breathing techniques designed to help relax your digestive organs. During the treatment, your therapist will pause, at intervals, to listen to your peristaltic movements.

Each session is likely to last for about an hour to give your inner workings time to unwind. Depending on your physical and emotional needs, a course of treatment may be recommended.

Is it for me?
