I booked a Rasool Mud treatment at this Spa for my daughter as a birthday surprise. Once I'd booked through Wahanda the spa called and arranged the appointment with me. They were were very helpful and suggested coming an hour or so early to enjoy the facilities.
On the day we arrived and were welcomed in and given slippers and robes and shown around. Once we'd stashed our clothes in the lockers provided we began to enjoy our morning with a steam, sauna, ice fountain etc. Finally we settled on the hot stone beds with a cup of herb tea until it was time for our treatment.
We were taken to a private room and each given two pots of mud - one for face and one for body. We had fun coating ourselves and then settled into our private sauna for 45mins. At first we thought we'd never last that long but we sat there rubbing in our muds and chatting and suddenly the therapist was knocking on the door to say the shower was about to start. We sat in our seats as the mud was washed away and then we showered, dried and applied a moisturising oil before donning our robes again and returning to the relaxation room for a refreshing bowl of sorbet and more tea.
We both had a wonderful relaxing time and enjoyed the chance to sit and chat as well. As a bonus we left with squeaky clean soft skin.
Did we enjoy it - 110% YES! Couldn't have been better.
Perfect mum/daughter bonding session, but you could also do it with a friend (for shy people i understand that you can wear swimwear as the mud doesn't stain). I've since tried it with my husband and that's a whole different experience!
