Wouldn't normally dream of going somewhere new for waxing, but tried out Appuru early in May for an emergency wax (we've all been there!), as it's near my work and they had lunch time availability. Couldn't believe how great the therapist was, for what is normally a traumatic experience (bikini wax!) at my regular salon. The therapist was fast, efficient and chatty enough to keep me distracted, but not over the top or fake. The room was lovely, downstairs underneath the main shop, felt nice and private with a little waiting area with complimentary drinks.
It was probably the best wax I've ever had, so I decided to go along to their open evening at the end of May to get some discounts and book up other treatments to get one of their mini products goody bags!
Went back for a facial yesterday after work and was equally impressed, saw the same therapist (I think her name is Emma, lovely Irish lady, sorry!) again lovely and friendly, but adapted her tone for this relaxing rather than maintenance treatment. I was so relaxed I feel asleep about half way through! What I remember of the facial was gorgeous though, have booked in my 2nd for next month and am now desperately trying to come up with an excuse for another treatment! Think I'll have to go for one of the body scrubs before the summer hols!
Love this place now, will be making it my regular beauty spot!
