I wanted to look my best for the company Christmas party so I was looking for somewhere that could take care of me head to toe, so I was delighted to come across Sergio that offer a nightout package to take care of everything. However being a usual skeptic I wanted to try out their make up service first, so I booked a make up session with Sergio himself.
The venue is just next to the tube station and easy to find which is brilliant. Staff are friendly and warmth and facilities and ambience was excellent. Sergio is definitely good at make up and he is brilliant in explaining the steps and tricks.
However there were 2 issues I had with the experience:
(1) I wish they describe more on their website about this service - to advise us visitors to bring along our own make up kits. When Sergio found out that I didnt bring anything he seems a bit stressed. It would be more useful for those who have some basic make up skills and wish to learn more about it, not for us novice who knows the minimum - again if this was stated in their description that would be very helpful.
(2) I have no doubt about Sergio's make up skill but after the session I felt even more sure that caucasian dont really know how to do make up for our Oriental face. His techniques are great for caucasian's feature but it doesnt really work for oriental people where our features are not as strong especially around the eyes and nose.
In the end I decided not to use their make up service for my company Christmas party.
